Live from the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey
October 31, 2019

The FFW logo flashes across the screen before we see Raven Knight looking up at the sign outside of a local tattoo parlor. A smirk covers her face as she pushes through the door to go inside before “Out for Blood” by Sum 41 starts to play.

Zero chances, no way out
No solutions, give in now
There's no point resisting, there's nobody listening

As she walks through, there’s two tattoo artists waiting as they watch television on a big screen. They see Chaotic Temptation heading towards the ring, Kelly Kincaid nailing her cyclorama from the top rope, Valerie McKinley and Kyle stepping out of a limo, and Melody Lennox grinning at the camera as she signs a contract.

All that we have is just slipping away
And I don't believe that it's gonna be okay
You can't stop the bleeding, it's almost too late
You're leaving us all the behind with hell to pay

The two artists look up at Raven before one of them offers a chair to her. She strolls over and makes herself comfortable, and starts telling him what she’s looking for. He shows her some of his work, while his partner is still watching the monitor.

Silence, they don't hear you calling
The further down you fall
No, they're not there at all
'Cause they're already gone

The next shot shows Andi Takata sailing through the air with her shooting star press, Luci heading into the arena with her husband behind her, Lacey emerging from underneath the stage at Unstoppable 10, Jordan Majors counting stacks of money with a grin, and Areum screaming at her Max doll.

So tell me what's real
'Cause I don't know if I can feel
So tell me what's right
'Cause I don't see the light

As Raven picks out the image she wants, the artist prepares his tools just before we cut to the live show. Thousands of fans roar as they see themselves on television, while the Sum 41 song continues to play throughout the arena. Spotlights flash through the crowd as Kat Grayson heads for the ring.

Zack: Hello, everyone! Welcome to Newark, New Jersy for the final Velocity of 2019 as FFW heads for Global Wars only on FFW All Access. We’re gonna see a rematch of the Unstoppable 10 main event tonight between Shaw and Savannah!

Mai: Plus we’ll find out whatever match it is Samantha has in mind for Savannah at Global Wars! I hope it’s another 5 on 1 handicap match. I really enjoyed that!

Zack: I’m sure you do! We got a big night ahead of us, so let’s get to it and send it up to Kat!

The bell sounds as the show heads to the ring, and finds Kat Grayson stepping through the ropes with her microphone.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish.

Zack: Welcome to Newark, New Jersey! You’re watching Velocity live from the Prudential Center, and the road to Global Wars is getting shorter and shorter. I’m Zack Hudson, and I’m usually joined by Mai Hotaru. But I’ll be joined by someone else for this first match momentarily. Go ahead, Kat.

The quiet, almost gentle strums of “Discombobulate” by Hans Zimmer begin playing... Gently. Softly. The lights in the arena are dim. Low as the strumming becomes more frantic. On the video wall begins showing a chalkboard full of figures and writing and scribbles and photos of wrestlers from days long since passed. Writing of this and writing of that and too many notes writ so small they’re impossible to get a handle of unless one was actually there. As the music plays, Gillie Barnes begins to calmly saunter out, legs moving in time with the music as she grins wide.

Kat: Introducing from Sheerness, England and weighing in at 159 lbs... “OLD SCHOOL” GILLIE BARNES!

Gillie immediately takes off for the ring, high-fiving every single fan as she can, arms outstretched before she slides in and begins to eye the turnbuckles and ring ropes. She checks for sturdiness, tugging one rope, pulling at a turnbuckle pad before dropping to study the exact measurement of how taut the ropes are until the referee tells her with a deadpan inflection to get to her corner. She grins and nods, patting the ref on the shoulder as if to say they’re doing a banger job before she heads to her corner.

Zack: Gillie’s also gonna be part of 2nd Impact next month when the FFW roster tests the Prospects once again this year. The last time, the Prospects ran the table. But they are going to have a very difficult time doing it again next month.

Look out, they're closing in on you now
Wake up, or you’ll wake up six feet down
Nobody's got your back in this town
Knock 'em. In the. Teeth. NOW!

The intro to Set It Off's "Killer in the Mirror" starts on the sound system, and lights start blinking in random colors as Tara Cortez struts onto the entrance ramp, with her manager Christian Kincaid right there with her. She stops right before the descent and pulls off a short dance move, crouching down only and taking a spin, proceeding to get back up, sliding her palms against her midriff before raising her hands her head... Only to nonchalantly wave the booing audience off as she brings her arms down again. Blowing raspberries, she then starts strutting down the entrance ramp, shaking her head at the fans in attendance as she makes her way to the ring.

Kat: And her opponent, escorted to the ring by Christian Kincaid... From Fort Worth, Texas... "The 10-Star Prodigy..." TARA CORTEZ!

When Tara climbs into the ring, she makes her way to the ropes facing the hard camera, leaning onto them and posing for the audience, moving her arms much like in the same way she did earlier with her starting dance, raising her hands up high again, only to then wave the crowd off once again before she hops back down to the ring, making her way to her corner and sharing some last minute strategy with Christian. He then hops down to the floor, and heads towards the broadcast booth to join Zack.

Zack: The last time we saw Tara out here was Breaking Point when she got a boot in the face from Nevaeh Summers, Christian. And we found out on Face Off they will meet again at Global Wars.

Christian: Let’s be honest, that was a cheap shot. Tara didn’t touch her, and Nevaeh’s just a little irritated because she hasn’t been able to find much success lately.

Referee Melinda Davis checks both women, and calls for the bell while the Newark crowd immediately begins an “Old School” chant. That brings a big smile to Gillie’s face as she heads towards the center, and waves Tara forward. Tara, however, doesn’t oblige her very quickly. She strolls out to the center, telling the referee to move Gillie backwards. Before the referee could even respond, Barnes surprises her with a running shoulder tackle that sends her back into the corner. Gillie starts driving shoulder thrusts into her abdomen, knocking the wind out of her before grabbing her head and hurling her out of the corner. Tara popped back to her feet before Gillie mowed her down again with a running clothesline. And for a second time, Tara started to get up. This time though, Gillie dropped into a three point stance and flipped her up and over to the mat.

Zack: Gillie’s coming out of the gate aggressive and this Jersey crowd is certainly happy about that! Not bad for a.. Lovable little bookworm, I believe Tara called her?

Christian: What’s offensive about that? Gillie loves books, and clearly this crowd finds her lovable. Did you think that was supposed to be insulting?

Barnes dropped into position for another three point stance as she waited for Tara to get up. The Texan started to do that very thing, and dodged out of the way when Gille came barreling towards her. Barnes stopped herself before she hit the ropes, only to catch a high knee to the back of her head that sent her through them to the apron. Tara got her wits about her, and gave herself a nine before she charged in with a forearm to the head that nearly sent Gillie off the apron to the floor. But the Brit grabbed the top rope to stop herself and Tara grabbed her head to pull her back in under the top rope. With Barnes dangling over the canvas trying to get free, Tara planted her with a hangman’s DDT and rolled her over into a cover.

Christian: All it takes is one little mistake with Tara, and she can capitalize before you have a chance to even turn around, Zack.

ONE!!!

TW-NOPE!!

Gillie kicked out before the two struck, and Tara began to drive elbows into the side of her head. She got back to her feet, and took off for the near side. As Gillie was getting to all fours, Tara dropped her with a guillotine leg drop across the back of her head.

Zack: Tara doesn’t lack for killer instinct, I’ll give her that. She doesn’t let up when she gets in control, and that’s something many Prospects can attest to.

Gillie started to rise again before Tara pulled her into a front chancery. Before she could snap off whatever she had in mind, Gillie began firing shots into her hip with closed fists. Three of them landed in a row, and she was able to shake Tara off. When Cortez came forward again, Gillie caught her with a discus lariat that put her on her backside. With the crowd starting to get behind her again, the Brit took off for the ropes and came back with a basement dropkick to her chest that dropped Tara flat on the mat. She continued the onslaught with another bounce off the ropes, this time into a rolling thunder senton before hooking the leg for the cover.

Zack: Gillie’s like a human wrecking ball, and uses her body in much the same way too! Tara’s debut may not go to plan for ol’ “10 Star!”

ONE!!!

TWOO-NOPE!!!

Cortez kicked out as the two struck, and Gillie got onto her hands and knees with a toothy grin on her face. When Tara started to move, she scampered towards her with a headbutt that sent her rolling. Cortez tried to rise again, and ate another of those scampering headbutts. The Brit shook her butt like a dog, and popped back to her feet.

Christian: It’s pretty well known that Gillie has one of the hardest skulls in the business. But Tara’s faced a lot of people who were a little thick between the ears.

Tara rolled into the corner, and grabbed the ropes to pull herself back to her feet. Gillie charged towards her with a shoulder tackle in mind, but Cortez hopped up to sit on the top turnbuckle. Barnes ran shoulder first into the ringpost instead, and stumbled out holding her shoulder. Tara was still on the top rope, and connected with a double stomp to her back to drive her face down into the mat. The Jersey crowd started booing “10 Star” as she scooped her around the waist into a gutwrench powerbomb, and stacked her up for the cover after that.

Zack: Tara just drilled Gillie with that gutwrench, and I’m sure she’d give it 10 stars if it gets her the win!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOPE!!

Gillie kicked out at two, and Tara quickly transitioned into an anaconda vice submission before she could sit up. Davis dropped down beside the Brit to see if she wanted to stop the match, but so far had gotten nothing to indicate that.

Christian: This is something I’ve been working on with Tara, adding a few new wrinkles to her arsenal. Trust me when I tell you that she sinks that hold in as tight as anyone.

Tara told her to tap repeatedly, but Gillie refused to do so. She tried to break Cortez’s grip without much success, still the referee asking if she wanted to stop. It didn’t work very well, and her movements began to slow as a result. “Old School” began to use her feet to try to reach the ropes that were not far from them. Tara glanced back to see what she was doing just as she got her foot across the bottom. Davis called for the break, which Tara gave at 4 and rose back to her feet.

Zack: Gillie knows where she is at all times in the ring, and that time was especially beneficial considering she couldn’t seem to break Tara’s grip in the anaconda vise.

Christian: I told you she had a very strong grip. When she commits to a move, Tara doesn’t do it in half-measures. Gillie was very lucky there.

She went to grab Gillie’s feet to drag her away from the ropes, but Barnes brought her knees up and used both feet to piston her backwards into the ropes. Tara came forward after getting her balance, only to find Gillie waiting for her with another headbutt to the face this time. It sent the Texan backwards a couple steps, and Gillie whipped her across to the far side. She caught her on the rebound into a spinebuster that popped the crowd. Barnes gathered herself while the Newark crowd started another “Old School” chant.

Zack: You can see how much Gillie really feeds off the fan response she gets, and this crowd is no exception. Look at her!

Christian: They can motivate you, no question about that. But the thing is it’s not always a good idea to rely on them totally. I don’t think Gillie does, but it can backfire.

The Texan started to get back to her feet again, only for Gillie to start laying in forearms to the side of her head. She drove her back into the corner, using a trio of knife edge chops to her chest before she whipped her across to the far corner. As soon as Tara landed backfirst, Gillie was right in after her with a running clothesline that almost took her off her feet. Barnes stepped back a few steps as Tara stumbled towards her, and scooped her up into position for her airplane spin. But she didn’t get to spin too much before Tara caught her with a series of elbows to her head. Gillie dropped her to her feet, and Tara countered with a roundhouse kick to the head that floored her. After she got her bearings, she lifted her hands up with all ten fingers out.

Tara: TEN STARS!!!

Christian: Gillie loves that airplane spin, and that’s something you have to avoid. Kinda like Nora’s giant swing, all that does is make you feel like you’re staggering drunk.

Zack: I’m sure that’s something Mars Whimsy will be keeping an eye out for when these two meet at 2nd Impact next month.

As Tara was giving herself a high rating, Gillie was starting to get to her feet. When the cocky former Future Shock Champion turned around, Gillie went for her palm strike to the face. But Cortez dodged out of the way of it, spun her around, and went for a double knee facebreaker. Gillie’s body bounced off the mat as Tara went for the cover with a hook of the far leg.

Zack: Tara avoided the SHOTEI, and may have knocked Barnes into next week with that facebreaker! That might be all!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!!

Gillie got her shoulder up in time, and Tara headed for the corner with a slightly annoyed expression on her face. As she headed up to the top rope, Gillie went after her and tried to pull her down.

Christian: I think I know what Tara’s got in mind, but she’s gotta find a way to shake Gillie off her first to execute it!

Cortez spun around to face her, and grabbed her head into a tornado DDT. It landed perfectly before she headed back up again. Tara checked quickly to make sure she wasn’t moving, and connected with her slingshot corkscrew Arabian press! She hooked the outside leg for the cover as Davis dropped into position.

Christian: Yep, that’s what she was thinking! That would be the C-BOMB, but you already know that move, Zack!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Davis called for the bell as Tara got back to her feet. The referee raised her hand, and Tara turned it into giving herself another ten stars.

Zack: In her FFW roster debut, Tara Cortez continues her very successful ways that began in Future Shock! “10 Star” has knocked off another former Future Shock Champion.

Kat: Your winner by pinfall…….. ‘10 STAR’ TARA CORTEZ!!!

Christian: You got that right. If you’ll excuse me, Zack.

Christian left the booth, and climbed into the ring to congratulate his client. Tara beamed ear to ear as he raised her hand too.

Zack: At Global Wars, it could be a whole other story when Tara meets Nevaeh Summers one on one to pick up where they left off this summer. But for now, I’m sure Tara will call that another “10 Star” performance!

Cortez and her manager roll out to the floor amid boos from the crowd in the Prudential Center. On that, Velocity heads to its first commercial break.

Jordan Wants In

Velocity heads to the back, and we find Kyle in a locker room alone with his newest client. He smiles as he heads inside and joins Jordan on the couch. He gave her hand a pat as he got comfortable.

Kyle: I’m gonna be running around a lot tonight with my clients in many matches, but I got your text saying you wanted to talk about something. Is everything alright?

Jordan lifts her hand to push a few strands of her newly blonde hair away from her face and looks at Kyle.

Jordan: Something isn’t working.

Kyle: I don’t see it. I mean within less than a month of joining, you got onto a major FFW event. And that almost never happens. Usually new talent are here for a few months before they get onto the big shows. But you did it immediately, and I know I was proud of you.

Jordan: But look at what’s happened. Luci beat me. Caitlyn called me predictable. They seem to have the upper hand on me. On us… we need to find a way to turn up the volume and show them just how wrong they are to think that way.

He started to stroke his chin as he thought about what she had to say, and looked back to her with a smile.

Kyle: Well if it’s unpredictable that they want, I say we give it to them. I say there’s no reason you can’t go and be… unpredictable on someone. And shove it back in their face. And besides that, I have a little surprise for you that may inspire you even more.

Jordan: Don’t tease me, Kyle. You know how much I like good surprises.

Kyle: Well I’ve been discussing it with the other girls, and they are all in agreement that you could be a fantastic fit for the Gold Standard. That they see in you what I saw in you when I came to you about helping guide your career. Would you like that?

Jordan straightens up in her seat and a wide grin slowly curls on her face. She looks back over at Kyle.

Jordan: You mean would I like to be apart of the Gold Standard of this entire industry? I thought you would never ask. Of course I’d like to. I can help make things a little more… unstable for the rest of FFW.

Kyle: Well I think we can make that happen. But they have one request, it’s kind of an initiation that I think you’ll enjoy honestly. You up for that?

Jordan raises one eyebrow as she glances at Kyle.

Jordan: What kind of request?

Kyle: It kinda feeds into what we were just talking about. There’s a lot of detractors around here when it comes to the Gold Standard. They want to see you find one of them, anyone you want, and be… unpredictable on them.

He said the last part with a wink and a smile. Jordan smiles back at Kyle and gives a nod to his wink.

Jordan: I don’t see any problem with that. I’ll show them exactly what I can do. All for the group… For us.

That brought another smile to his face as he wrapped an arm around her shoulder, and hugged her against him.

Kyle: Watch the six woman tag tonight closely, and you’ll see what those girls do all together.. and soon you’ll be able to count yourself among them.

Jordan: I’ll be watching. And I’ll make sure they’ll know I’m on their side. I’ll show them just how unpredictable I can be.

The camera zoomed in on Jordan’s face as the show heads elsewhere in the arena.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish.

“Deuce” by Kiss begins to play, Jem runs out of the back and onto the stage area, sprinting across to the far side and bouncing on the balls of her feet as she encourages the crowd to get a little louder. Charging across to the other side of the stage, she once more cheerleaders before heading back to the middle of the stage. Meeting her partner there the two girls double high five and turn it into a hug that breaks as Jem charges down to the ring, sliding underneath the bottom rope. Angela follows her down the ramp, slapping hands with fans. Jem pops up to her feet and makes a tour of the corners, climbing to the middle turnbuckle and throwing her hands into the air to get a cheer from the crowd before moving onto the next one. As Angela reaches the ring she walks hops up onto the apron and raises one clenched fist in the air before she enters the ring and walks to the NHB corner to await the start of the match.

Kat: Approaching the ring at a combined weight of 306lbs, the team of Jem Michaels and Angela Hinchcliffe...NO HOLDING BACK!!!

Zack: It’s been a while since we’ve seen Union Jacked all together in a match, but that’s about to change.

Mai: Has anyone actually missed them at all? I certainly haven’t.

“All Stand Up” by Status Quo starts to play as the young lady runs out onto stage, heading to one side she urges the crowd to their feet, clapping her hands above her head. Skipping across to the other side, she waves them to their feet as she once more claps her hands over head. Quickly moving back to the ramp, she sprints down to the ring, sliding underneath the bottom rope and getting to her feet quickly. Bouncing off the ropes she powerslides across the ring on her knees before hopping to her feet and continuing to rally the crowd by stomping on the mat and clapping as she heads for her corner.

Kat: The young lady approaching the ring comes from Sheffield, England by way of New York City, New York. She is 5’7” tall and weighs 144lbs….LILLY ARTHUR!!!

Zack: This match right here can solidify Lilly’s spot in the Global Wars ladder match if she and her friends can pick up the win.

Mai: Well I don’t need any more reason than that to cheer for the Gold Standard. Not that there was ever any question anyway.

The lights in the arena go out as the opening bars of ‘Redheaded Woman’ by Bruce Springsteen begin to play. A white spotlight hits the stage and Kyle Kilmeade walks through the curtain with a smug smile in place. The spotlight turns to red and Kyle proceeds to open the curtain to allow Valerie McKinley, Elizabeth Lannister and Lacey to step through. Though their attire is quite different to usual. Getting into the spirit of Halloween, each girl is dressed in a different costume. Valeries as Cat Woman, Elizabeth as Harley Quinn and Lacey as Poison Ivy. They move to stand either side of their manager him, with all four soaking in the animosity from the booing crowd.

Well brunettes are fine man
And blondes are fun
But when it comes to getting a dirty job done
I'll take a red headed woman
A red headed woman
It takes a red headed woman
To get a dirty job done

As the song continues, Lacey, Elizabeth and Valerie walk down the ramp with Kyle just behind them giving them a little applause as they go. Reaching the ring, the three climb the steps, before meeting again in the centre of apron to look out over the still booing crowd.

Well listen up stud your life's been wasted
Till you've got down on your knees and tasted
A red headed woman
A red headed woman
It takes a red headed woman
To get a dirty job done

Kyle joins the trio on the apron to hold the ropes open for Valerie and Elizabeth to enter elegantly, while Lacey drops down into the splits and lowers her head towards her foot to roll under the bottom rope.

Gaby: Introducing at this time and accompanied to the ring by Kyle Kilmeade….Valerie McKinley, Elizabeth Lannister and Lacey…. THE GOLD STANDARD!

The four make their way to the corner to share some last minute words before the match begins, and their music fades out.

Zack: Valerie and Lacey could be your next Unity Champions at Breaking Point, and Elizabeth certainly has her work cut out for her that night against Missy.

Mai: Valerie and Lacey WILL be the next Unity Champions, you mean. And anyone can beat ol’ Boob Job Barbie.

Referee Jennifer Stringer completes a check of both teams as Kat makes her way, smiling out of the ring. Finding nothing untoward the referee leaves each team to decide who is starting for their side, as she makes her way to the centre of the ring and calls for the bell to get the match underway. Jem and Lilly step out onto the apron in the Union Jacked corner while Angela makes her way to the middle where she finds herself completely alone, as the Gold Standard are still in conversation with Kyle in their team’s corner. The Newark crowd show their annoyance at the delay loudly as they all await the start of the match, while Angela taps her foot impatiently. Finally Angela gets tired of waiting and heads off towards the Gold Standard corner at a run, aiming a big boot towards the back of Elizabeth Lannister, but at the last second the blonde side steps and Lacey and Valerie spin Angela around and pull her back into the Gold Standard corner. The two redheads step out on the apron holding Angela in place while Elizabeth delivers a vicious knife edge chop to her chest.

Zack: The “Lioness” is gonna leave some marks on Angela at this rate, and it helps when your partners are holding her in place.

Mai: Of course it does! That’s just smart tag team wrestling right there.

Stringer orders Valerie and Lacey to release Angela, which they both do with a smirk, holding their hands up as they step away from her. As soon as Valerie and Lacey release Angela, Lannister charges at her and buries her knee into her abdomen forcing her to bend in the middle. An uppercut stands her back upright, quickly followed by a spinning backfist to the jaw that sends her reeling back against the top turnbuckle pad. A forearm smash across the jaw follows from Elizabeth before the Lioness uses a hip toss to bring the NHB team member out of the corner and straight down to the canvas. The Newark crowd show their disdain for the Gold Standard team member but that just brings a smile to the blonde’s face. Angela starts to rise up to her feet and Elizabeth takes a couple of steps across the ring before she uses a superkick to put her straight back down to the canvas again.

Mai: That Elizabeth sure is flexible. I bet you couldn’t hit a superkick like that, Zack.

Zack: You’re probably right, and that’s probably better for you as a result some nights.

Elizabeth heads straight for her corner and tags in Valerie, who climbs into the ring just as Angela has made it back to her knees. Hinchcliffe makes it back to her feet, just as Valerie bounces off the ropes to use a slingblade to put her roughly back down again. The crowd’s dislike of the Gold Standard only gets more vocal as Valerie taunts the NHB team member and tells her to get back up again. Angela makes it back to her feet and immediately receives a hard slap to the face from Valerie that sends her head reeling and echoes throughout the arena.

Zack: Angela is a mismatch for anyone in the Gold Standard. She’s all power, and none of these girls can match her for it..

Mai: That’s why you triple team the life out of her every chance you get, or just do what Valerie is doing. That works too.

Angela turns back towards Valerie holding the side of her face, just as the Gold Standard team member leaves her feet for a standing dropkick that knocks the NHB team member back into the ropes. She bounces off and Valerie catches her with a European uppercut to send her straight back into the ropes again. She bounces off a second time and Valerie catches her with a second European uppercut to knock her back again, getting herself  round of applause from her teammates on the apron. As Angela rebounds off for the third time, Valerie catches her for her wrist lock into a short arm lariat. She keeps the wrist lock applied and stomps down onto the NHB team member’s ribs, getting a yell of pain. A second stomp to the same spot follows, before she uses the wrist lock to pull Angela back up to her feet and fires her across into the Gold Standard team corner.

Zack: Uh oh, there’s the wrong place to be all over again if you’re Angela Hinchcliffe.

Mai: Well she’s British, they often make mistakes or find themselves in stupid predicaments. Look at Brexit!

Elizabeth catches her by the hair to hold her in place while Valerie tags in her fellow redhead. Lacey enters the ring and Elizabeth releases Angela’s hair as Valerie gets down on all fours in front of her, before Lacey leaps off her back to deliver a leg lariat to complete their 24 Karat Synergy move. Stringer orders Valerie out of the ring, which she complies with, with a smirk on her face as Lacey rest Angela against the turnbuckles and unleashes a trio a forearm shots to her jaw. The redhead brings the NHB team member out of the corner and straight into a facebuster, which earns her even more animosity from the Newark crowd.

Mai: You know, we may never even see Lilly or Jem in this match at this rate! Wouldn’t that be something?

Zack: That’s certainly what the Gold Standard is hoping for, no two ways about it. And they are doing a helluva job right now.

Lacey watches as Angela makes it back to her knees and then calls out ‘KNEEL BEFORE ME’ before she takes off towards her to deliver her running big boot that flattens Hinchcliffe down to the canvas. The redhead drops down and leans back across the NHB team member for an arrogant cover, as her Gold Standard teammates cheer her on from the apron and Stringer gets into place for the count.

Zack: Lacey loves to hit that big boot, and I can’t believe the Gold Standard may be pitching a shutout!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO-NOPE!!!

Angela pops her shoulder up off the canvas and shoves Lacey away from her roughly which catches the redhead by surprise and sends her stumbling off the cover.

Mai: Stupid Angela. If she had stayed down, we could have already been onto Bianca and Emma’s match.

Lilly and Jem encourage Angela to make it to the corner, banging on the turnbuckles as the crowd cheer her on to do the same thing. The NHB team member rolls to her front and starts crawling towards them as Lacey starts to pull herself together with a scowl on her face. The redhead turns and spots Angela nearing her team’s corner and immediately starts to follow after her. She catches the NHB team member by the ankle and starts trying to pull her back towards the centre. She manages to pull her a couple of inches before Angela pulls her leg free and lashes out blindly with a kick that catches the redhead in the jaw and sends her to her butt on the canvas.

Mai: Good thing she didn’t tell her to kneel before her, Zack. That might have been gimmick infringement.

Zack:Oh yeah, I’m sure that was prevalent on Angela’s mind.

Angela reaches her corner and hits the first outstretched hand that she comes to which belongs to Jem, who immediately scales to the top rope and watches for Lacey to make it back to a vertical position. As soon as the Gold Standard team member is upright, Jem launches herself from the top rope with a diving DDT that drives Lacey’s head into the canvas and gets the NHB team member a pop from the Newark crowd. Jem heads straight for the ropes and ducks through them onto the apron as Lacey starts to pull herself up to a seated position, rubbing her head a little as she does. She looks behind her to her team’s corner as both Valerie and Elizabeth have their hands outstretched. The Gold Standard team member pulls herself up but as soon as she gets her feet beneath her Jem uses the top rope for a slingshot into a hurricanrana that flips the redhead head first into the canvas once again. Michaels immediately gets into place for the cover and hooks a leg as she does, prompting Stringer to get back into place for the count.

Zack: When Jem checks in, the tempo speeds up and there’s a cover!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

WHOA!!!

The count stops abruptly as Valerie hits Jem with a baseball slide to the head to knock her off the cover.

Mai: That Valerie is something else, isn’t she? Though I’m sure Lacey would have kicked out anyway.

The referee orders Valerie out of the ring which she does with a shrug as Jem gets back to her feet and glares after her. Lilly and Angela start pounding the turnbuckles to alert Jem as Lacey gets to her feet behind her, and the NHB team member turns in time to duck an oncoming forearm shot from the Gold Standard team member. Lacey catches hold of her arm and fires her across into the ropes, but as she rebounds Jem catches the Gold Standard member with a running clothesline to flatten her to the canvas. Michaels gets back to her feet and heads to the ropes to use them for a springboard somersault leg drop… but she gets nothing but canvas as Lacey rolls out of the way at the last second. As Jem yells out from the pain, Lacey dives towards her corner to tag in Valerie.

Mai: And now things are about to get a lot better, Zack. Here comes our favorite One Percenter.

Zack: Don’t you mean your favorite? Valerie McKinley is as adept as they come, especially when she’s picking up where Lacey left off.

Jem makes it back to her feet but doesn’t stay on them for long as Valerie hits her with a springboard roundhouse kick that flattens her back to the canvas. The NHB team member makes it back to her feet and immediately dodges to avoid an oncoming European uppercut, scooping up Valerie as she straightens and then slamming her straight to the canvas. The crowd cheer the NHB team member as she heads to the ropes and comes off the middle with an elbow drop that gets nothing but canvas as Elizabeth pulls her teammate out of the way while Kyle distracts the referee on the apron. Jem gets back to her feet to matching superkicks from Valerie and Lacey which collapse her to the canvas. Elizabeth pulls her up and Valerie raises her hand to deliver a slap… but Lilly catches her hand and spins her around to use a German suplex to dump her back on the canvas.

Zack: Well that didn’t work out well at all, did it?! Lilly has no love lost for the Gold Standard, and that includes the One Percenter.

Mai: Valerie’s just glad the flight home is gonna be short. No one enjoys being in Newark, for God’s sake.

Kyle hops down and the referee turns and orders Lilly and Elizabeth out of the ring as Jem makes her way back to her corner as Valerie starts to do the same. Both women reach their corners with Jem making the tag to Lilly a moment before Valerie tags in Elizabeth. Lilly is already halfway across the ring as Elizabeth climbs back in. The blonde takes off towards Lilly, only to be caught by a running high knee from the Sheffield native that sends her backwards towards her corner. She straightens herself up and comes back, just barely avoiding an oncoming forearm smash from the Yorkshire girl as she ducks to the side quickly. As the blonde stands up, Lilly catches her and spins her around before wrapping her arms and lifting her up for a German Suplex that she bridges into a pin attempt.

Mai: Damn it, someone needs to hit Lilly with a crowbar or something! Or stop this cover!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOPE!!!

Elizabeth kicks out and shoves Lilly away from her, getting back up to her feet looking furious, before she grabs Lilly and starts to unload furious right hands into the side of her head. Lilly shakes her off and then uses a side Russian leg sweep to take her down to the canvas.

Zack: Nicely executed there by the former Fast Track Champion! She’s gotta be thinking about Global Wars somewhere in her mind right now.

Lilly pulls Elizabeth back up to her feet, only to be surprised halfway up by a European uppercut that almost lifts her off her feet. Elizabeth composes herself for a second before she hits the Yorkshire girl with her Kingslayer reverse roundhouse kick to drop her to the canvas. The blonde lands a double knee drop into Arthur’s ribs and then gets into position for a cover of her own.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Lilly pops her shoulder up just after the two and Elizabeth gets back to her feet and heads straight for her corner to tag Lacey back in.

Zack: You gotta hand it to the Gold Standard. They are making quick tags, and showing why they are as dangerous of a unit as they are.

Mai: It’s nice to finally hear you give credit to the better team. I was starting to think you were being paid off by someone on the NHB side.

Lilly rolls towards the ropes, and gets back up to her feet before dashing straight towards her corner looking for a tag as Lacey enters the ring. She takes off towards the Union Jacked corner to try and prevent the tag, but Angela stretches her arm out as far as she can as Lilly launches herself the last little bit. The tag is made to an eruption of cheers from the crowd before Lacey can prevent it and she stops a little wide eyed, like a rabbit caught in the headlights.

Mai: Oh dear, Angela’s back in, Zack. And she looks like she’s rejuvenated too!

Zack: You got that right, and you can see Lacey’s face! That tells you everything!

Angela takes off at a run and immediately mows Lacey down with a running clothesline that sees her hit the canvas with a thud. The redhead starts to make it make to her feet and Angela pulls her closer to the Union Jacked corner and then lifts her up onto her shoulders. The Newark crowd come to their feet with cheers as they can see what is about to happen. As Angela falls backward to drive Lacey into the canvas, Jem flies from the top turnbuckle hitting her with a spinning heel kick to complete the Devastation Day Device move. Stringer orders Jem out of the ring, which she complies with immediately as Angela gets into position, hooking both of Lacey’s legs. The referee turns to see the cover and drops down into place for the cover.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Valerie and Elizabeth head into the ring, but before they can reach the pin, Jem and Lilly catch them and spear them back towards their own corner. As Lilly and Elizabeth start trading blows, so do Jem and Valerie.

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Stringer gets back to her feet and immediately calls for the bell as Angela rolls off the cover.

Kat: Your winners via pinfall………………. Jem Michaels, Angela Hinchcliffe and Lilly Arthur!

Zack: Union Jacked prove why they were the last Trios champions, and Lilly’s cemented her spot in the Global Wars ladder match!

Mai: Ugh. Well that means it’s Caitlyn, Areum and Lilly. And the winner of Andi and Mel will take the final spot at Breaking Point. Mel has to win!

The brawling stops as Lilly and Jem make their way back to Angela as she is getting back to her feet, before the three raise each others hands to further cheers from the live crowd. Lacey rolls out towards Elizabeth and Valerie as the crowd start a Union Jacked chant which brings even larger smiles to the winner’s faces before the camera cuts elsewhere.

The Rising War

The next shot shows the owner of FFW standing outside her office in the arena, and is joined by the “Rebel Child” Jo McFarlane to her right.

Samantha: I have been saying for some time now that Savannah Taylor has no friends in this business. No one trusts her. No one would make that mistake, not after all these years. And tonight as Shaw stamps out her last excuse as to why she is not FFW Champion right now, I want to let her and all know that I’m soon to be done with her. I just want to prove once and for all what I and others have been saying. And that’s why, for the first time in several years, I am bringing back a match rarely seen in FFW to prove that point. And I am referring to WAR GAMES.

This gets some noise from the crowd as Samantha continues. Beside her, Jo looks quite excited at the prospect.

Samantha: War Games is all about working as a team. And I assure you, the Franchise is the epitome of a team. I’ve chosen four that will be involved in this match. And if Savannah can’t find 3 women who would trust her… well she’ll compete in the first ever 4 on 1 War Games in the history of this business, as far as I know. One of the four is the woman to my right, who has made a lot of money wrecking Savannah every chance she gets and will do so again: Jo McFarlane.

Jo: I’ve never been in a War Games before, so I’m ridiculously excited to be part of a match like this! Thank you, Samantha.  It really is one of those matches where if your team doesn’t work, you’re stuffed. Unless you’re what happened with the Power Trip the last time we had this match, but we won’t talk about that. Since I doubt the reason frot that would want to be anywhere near Savannah’s team. Regardless...watching her spend this time trying to find people who tolerate her enough that it makes the match good for them is going to be very, very interesting. There is an irony to being a fan favourite who does not have any allies who actually wrestle. And I certainly look forward to working with people who can unite for a cause.

Samantha: Joining Jo that night will be the reigning FFW No Surrender Champion Bianca Salvador. She too knows a thing or two about beating Savannah senseless on multiple occasions.

This brings a smile to Jo’s face.

Jo: Of that, I am grateful. Bianca and I have a lot of history, good and bad, mostly away from the cameras. But this allows us to work together almost seamlessly. We know each other’s strengths and weaknesses and how to make it all work in our favour.

Samantha: Also on the team will be a woman who has had the joy of cracking her head open with a hammer not too long ago. But given recent comments, she’s even more fired up to do some damage in her last match for the foreseeable future. I’m referring to Angelina Fantastica.

Jo’s smile becomes a grin.

Jo: Allow me to make something clear: Angelina is a wonderful wrestler, and a sight to watch. I am going to miss her when she leaves. So to have this match with her is going to be something special.

Samantha: And the final member of that team is also someone who has proven just how adept she is at what she does. She humbled her at Sin & Sacrifice in a comeback match after years being out of a FFW ring. And she proved she hasn’t lost a step at all. She may have gotten better in all honesty: the “Red Empress” Mika Demidov!

Jo: First to admit that I’ve never been a fan of Mika, but I know how good she is, having wrestled her in the past. She is, however, like a fine wine: better with age. Mika was a force a few years ago, and damn if she isn’t one now. Not only is this team you’ve created one built on trust, friendship and actually being able to work together...it’s one that anyone is going to struggle with.

Samantha: And as if War Games and a Global Wars ladder match isn’t enough, the FFW Championship will also be on the line that night as well. I’ll be announcing Shaw’s opponent at Breaking Point next Saturday. I’d say Global Wars is turning out to be one hell of a way to end 2019 for the FFW roster, wouldn’t you?

Jo: You know how to end the year on a high note, that’s for sure! I would love to know who you’ve picked for Shaw however, they have one hell of a task on their hands!

Samantha: You’ll find out soon enough. I want to see how she does tonight against Savannah. Because if I have to give that woman another shot…

Samantha heads off camera with Jo in pursuit before the show cuts elsewhere.

Kat: The following match is scheduled for one fall to a finish!!

Zack: This should be a fascinating match between two women who couldn’t come from more different wrestling backgrounds.

Mai: They say styles make fights, so you might be onto something here. I like them both, so I’m not sure who I should crap all over this match.

Some like beautiful, perfect and pretty
I see the good in the bad and the ugly.
I need the volume one louder than ten,
Put the pedal to the metal, needle to the red.

Halestorm’s “I Like It Heavy” plays over the speakers, bathing the arena in blue and black lights. From the back emerges Emma Mackenzie, attired as always in her denim shorts and black and blue top. Behind her is manager and husband, Ryan Mackenzie. Together they stand on the stage, at the top of the ramp while the woman takes in the reaction from the crowd.

Kat: On her way to the ring, from Glasgow, Scotland, weighing 135 pounds and accompanied by Ryan Mackenzie, please welcome EMMA MACKENZIEEEEEEEEE!

If the windows ain;t shakin’,
Makin’ my heart race,
If I can’t feel it in my chest I’m in the wrong damn place.
I got a demon in my soul, a voice in my head
Singing “go, go, go”
I can sleep when I’m dead.
There’s a sonic revelation, bringing me to my knees.
And there’s a man down below who needs my sympathy.
I got a ringin’ in my ears, getting ready to burst,
Screaming “hallelujah, motherfucker, take me to church”

The pair begin their walk down the ramp, with Emma moving to the beat of the music. She doesn’t catch any of the hands of fans reaching for her, either because she isn’t entirely aware they’re doing it...or habit. Reaching the bottom, Ryan pulls himself onto the apron while Emma climbs the stairs, and he allows her in.

The song promptly hits its chorus, and a much heavier, harder beat, which the blue-haired wrestler uses to dart across the ring and up onto the top turnbuckle, extending her arms which gets a pop from the crowd. With a grin, she jumps back down, meeting Ryan in her corner. The two discuss something while the music fades out.

Zack: Emma has been kept very active since she came back from her brief time away, and has been picking up some impressive wins in the process.

Mai: What do you expect? This is a woman who has headlined some of the biggest events in the sport. She doesn’t get older, she just gets better.

“Something New” starts up over the speakers, and the jeers have almost drowned out the music before the Typhoon has even arrived (though in fairness, the beginning is pretty quiet). Yellow, green and blue spotlights dance around the arena, while the tron shows images of both halves of the team in action. Suddenly, the music stops and the tron cuts out...only for the sound of crashing thunder to echo loudly through the arena.

Love to hate
Repeating my mistakes
But there’s no one left to listen
No one left to listen
Take a chance, and fuck the consequence
When there’s no one left to listen
No one left to listen

As a curtain of dry ice smoke fills up the entrance stage, Bianca Salvador walks up to the top of the ramp, No Surrender Championship belt over her shoulder, followed closely by her managers Kyle Kilmeade and Mika Demidov, right behind her. Once there, she looks over the booing crowd with a smirk on her face before she goes to a knee and opens her arms wide in her Witch of the Winds pose. After a couple of seconds in that pose, Bianca grabs the belt from her shoulder by the strap and lunges forth, lifting the No Surrender Championship with a loud "YEAH!!!", walking down the entrance ramp as her managers follow, Kyle giving her a lonely round of applause while Mika just watches and grins.

Right! Now! We’re taking control!
Tired of waiting
Tired of waiting for something new!
Right! Now! We’re taking control!
Tired of waiting
Tired of waiting for something new!

John: And her opponent, escorted to the ring by Kyle Kilmeade and Mika Demidov... From Porto Alegre, Brazil... She is FFW’s No Surrender Champion... BIANCA SALVADOR!!!

Instead of going straight to the ring though, she walks up to a camera, getting right up to the lens with her mischievous smirk, and then flexes her biceps for the gun show, kissing the bulging muscle and talking a bit of trash to the audience at home. After that, the Typhoon rolls into the ring and moves to the farthest turnbuckle, climbing onto the second rope and staring into the booing crowd, only to wave them off and jump back to the center of the ring and move to her starting corner, hopping onto the top turnbuckle and sitting there as she waits for the match to begin while strategizing with Mika and Kyle at ringside.

Mai: How much do I love Bianca Salvador! She’s the only woman in FFW history to regain her title the same night she lost it!

Zack: Yeah… And I know you and she are pretty happy about how that went about. But the facts are the facts in this case.

Stephen Wilson was the official placed in charge of the match and immediately headed towards the Franchise corner, interrupting the strategy session in order to issue a warning to Mika and Kyle to stay out of the match while Emma was performing a few last minute stretches in her corner, turning her back on Salvador. As Mika and Kyle protested their innocence, letting the referee know that they were both friends with Emma and wouldn’t dream of influencing the match against her - regardless Wilson repeated his warning. As he did so, Bianca charged across the ring, leaving her feet for a high knee...only for Emma to spin out of the way at the last moment allowing the Brazilian native to crash knee first into the turnbuckle pads. Bianca landed on her feet and was immediately spun around by her foe who started to deliver vicious right handed haymakers to side of Salvador’s jaw, sending her back into the corner.

Zack: I don’t think Bianca wants to brawl with Emma, and those big time rights are proving that point. She has to get her down on the mat and keep her there.

Mai: I’m not going to argue that. But there’s such a thing as getting your opponent’s respect, and Bianca is confident enough that she can go toe to toe in anyone’s style.

Wilson spun around and called for the bell as he quickly moved across the ring and ordered Emma to allow her opponent to get out of the corner, starting to use the five count as Mackenzie continued to deliver vicious right hands until she stepped backwards when the referee reached four. Emma quickly grabbed hold of the Brazilian by the wrist and jerked her out of the corner and spun around to drive a back elbow into the side of her jaw causing Salvador to step backwards to the corner as Mackenzie continued to turn and delivered a stiff forearm into the side of her face. As Salvador once more hit the turnbuckles, the former Ultraviolence Champion took hold of the top rope and started to fire off side kicks into her opponent’s midriff in quick succession as the official once more ordered the break and used the count.

Mai: If Bianca had salad for dinner tonight, Emma’s tossing it for her with these kicks.

Zack: Bianca’s very resilient, and given she’s gonna be in War Games at Global Wars, she damn well better be.

Again Emma backed up on the count of four, jerking her foe out of the corner as she did so, spinning her around as she did so and this time the Chaotic Temptation member struck her foe with a European uppercut. It sent the No Surrender Champion reeling backwards only for Mackenzie to fire her across the ring with an Irish whip, catching her on the return with a perfect spinebuster. Bianca hit the canvas and arched her back upward, Emma dropping back to the ring ropes and bouncing off them to drive a big boot into Salvador’s face as she sat up. Bianca rolled to the side and pushed up to her knees before making it the rest of the way to her feet where Emma caught her with a knee to the stomach, hooked her head and delivered a snap suplex.

Zack: Remember what you said about Bianca thinking she can match any style? It works both ways, look at Emma with that suplex.

Mai: Let’s not get ahead of ourselves here. Neither of them have won this match, but if you’re gonna talk up Emma, don’t leave out the “Typhoon”!

The FFW Hall of Famer popped quickly back to her feet and waved her foe upwards for a moment; Bianca sitting up for a moment before she rolled over onto one knee and was caught with a shining wizard to the side of the head. Salvador dropped back down to her hands and knees once more only for Emma to jerk her back upwards and into a snap DDT. Quickly the former FFW Champion rolled to the side and came back up to her feet, taking off across the ring and bounced off the ropes to deliver a backsplash to the No Surrender Champion. The Chaotic Temptation member rolled over and hooked her opponent’s leg as she made the cover.

Zack: Emma’s looking for the pay window, and Bianca’s looking for some Advil right about now!

One…

Two…

Mai: Don’t worry about Bianca. She’s got a solid core and there’s some abs in there too. She just prefers not to look like a washboard.

Bianca kicked out, shoving Emma away from her before she rolled over onto her front. Salvador began to push up to her hands and knees only for the FFW Hall of Famer to come to her feet and moved towards the Brazilian stepping over her back. She  was about to drop down to apply a camel clutch to her foe only for the Franchise member to suddenly slide backwards on the canvas and a heartbeat later hurl herself into the back of Emma’s knee, taking her legs out from under her with a chop block. Bianca quickly rose to her feet and charged towards the ropes, bounced off them and delivered a clothesline that took the Scottish wrestler down to the canvas.

Zack: Tell us what kind of strategy you would recommend before entering into a match like War Games.

Mai: Stamina training. All day. Because if you’re starting especially, you gotta be prepared for the long haul.

Emma began to rise to her feet once more and was quickly taken back down off her feet with a snapmare takedown, putting the blue haired wrestler in a sitting position on the mat and allowing Salvador to deliver a stiff kick to the spine. A second vicious kick followed before Emma rolled away and started to push upwards, getting to one knee before Bianca jerked her upwards and into a single knee facebreaker that saw Mackenzie fall back against the ropes. As Emma rebounded off them, the Brazilian wrestler caught her arm and twisted it into an arm wringer before she jerked the Scottish wrestler off balance, jerking her downwards, snapping her arm across her both her knees with an armbreaker. The Chaotic Temptation member held her arm against her body for a moment as she came back to her feet only for Bianca to trap her in a rear waistlock, letting out a roar as she hurled her over her head with a release belly to back suplex. Mackenzie landed on her front on the canvas as Bianca rolled backwards to take up position on her foes back and locked in a Fujiwara armbar on her opponent.

Zack: This is very effective here, but not so much inside the War Games cage until everyone is inside. Until then, it’s divide and conquer.

Mai: Absolutely. You want to make sure you have the advantage if at all possible, and spend the time taking every member of the other team out of commission.

Wilson dropped down to check on the former FFW Champion, asking her if she wanted to submit which only got the official a withering glare from the Scottish wrestler as she fought to escape the submission and jerk her arm free of Bianca’s grip.  Salvador, though, had her caught tightly and was pulling back on her arm, not even bothering to disrespect Emma by telling her to submit; too focused on making the hold effective. The former Ultraviolence Champion grimaced for a couple of moments before she stopped trying to pull her arm backwards and instead pushed upwards, getting her knees beneath her, shoving Bianca away from her as she did so. Bianca came up to her feet and cut off her opponent as the Scottish wrestler came to her knees and the Brazilian drove knees into her chest, followed by a second and a third. Salvador jerked Mackenzie to her feet and sent her in for the ride once more, catching her on the return with a back body drop that sent her high into the air before she crashed down onto the mat.

Zack: I’d say Bianca is probably the stronger of the two women here, and she doesn’t mind reminding us of that strength, does she?

Mai: Of course not. If you had a body worth looking at, you’d be showing off too. I always like to have a ticket to the gun show when Bianca is hosting it.

Emma sat up as she landed, Bianca giving the crowd a show of her muscles as she pulled a bodybuilder pose before she cut off her rising opponent with a kick into her midriff. It doubled the Chaotic Temptation member over enough for the No Surrender Champion to hook her head and arm and spike her down into the canvas with a single arm DDT. The Scottish wrestler held her head as she lay on the mat for a moment before she began to push upwards once more, again only getting as far as her knees before Bianca caught her with a running knee strike to the jaw. It brought her foe up to her feet and caused her to spin around, allowing Bianca to hook her arms and snap off a Tiger suplex that she bridged for the pin.

Mai: That tiger suplex was a thing of beauty, let’s see if it’s enough.

One…

Two…

Zack: Apparently not. Emma’s got too much gas in the tank, and Bianca still has work to do.

The Hall of Famer kicked out and Bianca rolled to the side, came up to one knee and gave another display of the gun show to the crowd as the referee showed the two count. Bianca came to her feet and pulled Emma from one knee back to her feet by her hair before she delivered a SLAP! Across her chops. Emma reeled backwards, holding her face as she did so. Bianca followed after her opponent, scooping her up off her feet and delivered a bodyslam before she looked to follow it up with an elbow drop… only to get nothing but mat as Emma rolled away. The Scottish wrestler came up to her feet as the Franchise member returned to a vertical base and Emma caught her with a mongolian chop to both sides of her neck.

Mai: You ever had a Mongolian chop before, Zack: Here, turn around and you tell them what it feels like.

Zack: No, thank you. I can guess by looking at the Typhoon’s face.

It stunned Salvador for a moment, allowing Mackenzie time to lift her foe up off her feet and into an inverted atomic drop. Bianca stepped backwards holding herself between her legs only for Emma to skip forward and drive a modified bicycle kick into her gut, driving her boot into her midsection which caused Salvador to double over and get driven face first into the canvas with a sitout facebuster. Bianca popped up onto all fours and started to rise back to her feet, finding Emma waiting for her as she managed to get upright and the Scottish wrestler struck with a codebreaker to her foe’s chest. Bianca fell backwards to the mat and the Chaotic Temptation member was quickly back to her feet, grabbing hold of the Brazilian’s legs by her ankles.

Zack: Emma’s really picked up the pace from the methodical approach of Bianca, and it’s working like a charm now.

Mai: Well that is kinda her wheelhouse. Also I need to visit a wheelhouse sometime. I’m not sure I’ve ever been to one.

As Emma made it to her feet, she held Salvador’s legs apart and with the loud encouragement of the crowd began to drive stomps into her stomach...and maybe one of the stomps might have caught Salvador below the belt. The official gave Emma a reproachful look and seemed to hesitate in reprimanding her, not sure if he really saw her deliver a low blow in the midst of the stomps only for Mackenzie to slide her opponent’s head out onto the apron and fell backwards, catapulting Bianca throat first into the bottom rope. Salvador gagged for air as the Chaotic Temptation member ignored the referee’s reprimand, pulling Bianca up from the canvas by the hair to scoop her upwards and dropped her face first into the top turnbuckle with a snake eyes. The Brazilian landed on her feet and staggered backwards only for Emma to once more lift her from her feet, turned and drove her face first into the mat with a wheelbarrow slam. Mackenzie rolled Salvador over, hooking her leg once more as she made the cover.

Mai: Now that takes some core strength to do that, and look at Emma ready to call it a night!

One…

Two…

...THR-

Zack: She may be, but the No Surrender Champion certainly isn’t, is she?

Bianca kicked out ahead of the three count; Emma checked with the referee, nodding her head when Stephen Wilson showed her the two and didn’t waste any time in pulling the Franchise member to her feet. As soon as she had the Brazilian vertical, the former Ultraviolence Champion drove knees into her midsection before she fired her across the ring into the opposite corner. As Salvador connected Emma sprinted in behind her and delivered a corner clothesline to her opponent, following it up with a high knee to her face before she climbed up onto the middle rope and started to fire right hands downwards into her skull. The crowd counted along as the Scottish brawler delivered ten closed fists before hopping down from the middle rope to the mat.

Mai: I’m in shock, Zack. These idiots can count to ten without skipping numbers! What is life?!

Zack: Send your letters to Mai Hotaru, fans.

Mai: Don’t bother, I don’t read fan mail.

Emma gave her foe no time to recover, jerking her out of the corner by the wrist only to Irish whip her straight back into the corner. This time when Bianca hit the turnbuckle Mackenzie climbed up to sit on the top rope, hooking Salvador’s head before she launched herself out of the corner and delivered a Tornado DDT. As the Franchise member hit the canvas, the Hall of Famer rose to her feet and climbed to the top rope in the corner once more, checking over her shoulder before she leapt into the air, arching her back and landed perfectly across her opponent with a moonsault. Emma leaned forward and made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Zack Swanlike grace into a moonsault, and Emma Mac is closing in on a hell of a win tonight!

One…

Two…

THRE---

Mai: No, she’s not there yet. See how masterfully Bianca waited to get her shoulder up. It’s totally not because she was out of it either.

At the last moment Bianca rolled her shoulder to break up the pinfall. Emma looked to the referee with three fingers held up only for the official to show the two count to her. The Scottish wrestler nodded her head as she pulled her opponent up to her feet and shoved her throat first over the middle rope, using the cable to choke her out. The referee started to count the Chaotic Temptation member down as he called for the break, getting to four before she pulled away from her foe, hands raised. It was only a momentary relief for Bianca as the former FFW Champion pulled her upwards and pressed her throat against the top rope. Again the referee ordered the break and used the count, getting to four before Emma yanked the No Surrender Champion away from the ring ropes, pulling her backwards, away from the ropes and into a cobra clutch sleeper hold.

Zack: If she won’t stay down for three, put her out! That’s what Emma’s thinking now with this hold.

Mai: I’m not sure trading holds with Bianca is a good idea. You don’t get to be No Surrender Champion twice without knowing escapes.

Zack: True, and it doesn’t hurt if your boss gives you a rematch the same night you lose it either.

Bianca tried to jerk her foe’s arms away from her only to find that Emma had it locked in tightly as the referee asked her the question, getting no response as the submissionist tried to find an escape. Mackenzie shook her from side to side in the hold, trying to make it more effective and put Bianca to sleep. The referee checked again and once more got little response from the Brazilian who was still trying to find a way to escape only for her hand to slip off of Emma’s arm. The former Ultraviolence Champion once more shook her opponent from side to side in the sleeper hold as Bianca seemed to go limp in her grasp. When Mackenzie came to a halt, the referee checked on Salvador then raised her hand, dropping it and watched it fall to her side. Again he raised the Brazilian’s hand and watched it fall to her side.

Zack: Bianca looks like she’s just about out of it here, and Emma’s gonna have plenty to brag about if she does.

Mai: Until it falls three times, Zack, it doesn’t matter. Have a little more faith in OUR No Surrender Champion.

Once more Wilson lifted her opponents hand up into the air and when he released it, it dropped. It dropped as far as Emma’s arm, grabbing hold of the limb once again and trying to pull it away from her throat before the Franchise representative kicked her feet up into her air and swung them behind her, using her weight to hurl the Scot forward and sent the top of her head into the middle turnbuckle as she fell onto her knees. Emma released the hold and staggered backwards, holding the top of her head as Bianca pulled herself upright, using the ring ropes and turned unsteadily to face her foe before she moved slowly towards, the effects of the sleeper hold still evident and when she neared the FFW Hall of Famer, Bianca found herself sent to the mat with a drop toe hold. Salvador rolled over onto her back, holding her face as Emma came to her feet and gave a cutting motion with her hand, getting a loud cheer from the crowd before she tried to stomp down on her face only for her boot to get caught by the Franchise member. Mackenzie tried to pull her foot away only for Salvador to take her down to the canvas with a dragon screw leg whip.

Mai: That’ll take your knee out of the socket right there, Zack. And it may have here, we’ll have to wait and see.

Zack: I’ve certainly read about athletes who have injuries with that particular offense. Let’s hope Emma isn’t the latest.

Emma rolled through and came back to her feet as Bianca got back to a vertical base and fired off a savate kick to her jaw. It turned the Scots legs to jelly as she tried to stay upright only to get jerked forward into a short arm clothesline that sent her down to the canvas once more. Mackenzie tried to get back to her feet quickly only for Bianca to trap her in a Full Nelson, struggling to get her fingers interlocked behind Emma’s head as the Chaotic Temptation fought against the hold which prompted Bianca to sweep her legs out from underneath her and drive down into the canvas with a Full Nelson slam. Bianca followed it up quickly with a leg drop against her opponents chest before Salvador rolled back over up to her feet, pulling Emma up with her only to flip her upwards and drive her down into the mat once more with a powerbomb. Salvador made the cover and hooked the leg.

Mai: Look how strong she is! I’m gonna call that the Typhoon Bomb!!

One…

Two…

...THR--

Zack: You can call it whatever you want, but it didn’t get the job done. Emma’s still got some fight in her.

Emma kicked out and Bianca didn’t even look towards the referee as she floated over into the mount position and began to rain down heavy right and left hands into her foe’s face causing the Scot to cover up. Wilson called for the break and began the count, Bianca rolling away on four and waved Emma upwards, letting her get to all fours before she stepped forward and grabbed hold of the Hall of Famers arm and flipped her over into a cross armbreaker. Bianca pulled back ferociously on the arm, causing Mackenzie to grimace and screw up her face in pain but refuse to quit to the No Surrender Champion. Salvador looked to increase the pressure on her arm, pulling back further as she arched her back only to still get a refusal to submit as Emma began to pull herself across the canvas towards the bottom rope, only for her arm to get tortured more. The former FFW Champion’s hand wavered over the canvas, shaking her head as the referee asked her the question, the bottom rope agonisingly out of reach.

Zack: Is Emma Mac gonna tap out? You can count on one hand the number of times that’s happened, and have plenty of fingers left over!

Mai: That’s alright. Bianca’s all about making history! Go ahead and tap out, Emma! Do it!

Emma let out a cry of pain but refused to submit and made one more effort to reach out and wrap her hand around the bottom rope. Wilson called for the break and started the count when Bianca refused to let go; the No Surrender Champion using every possible moment before she let go of the hold and rolled away from the Scottish born wrestler. Emma held her arm for a moment before she started to use the ring ropes to pull herself back to her feet as Bianca once more posed for the fans before she advanced upon her opponent, grabbing hold of one of her legs and lifted it upwards across the back of her neck as she yanked her away from the ring ropes and towards the middle of the ring. Bianca adjusted her grip, pulling on her foes ankle and knee more before hoisting her up onto her shoulders and delivered the Outflow, slamming her foe down to the canvas. Quickly Bianca dove on top of Emma and hooked her legs to make the cover.

Mai: There’s the OUTFLOW!! Thanks for coming, Emma!

One…

Two…

….THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zack: How on Earth did she do that?! Look at Bianca, she’s not buying it and wants a three! That’s not happening!

Bianca shook her head and demanded the three count from the referee as she came back to her feet only for Wilson to stand firm on his two count, pointing to Emma’s shoulder, telling the Franchise member that it came up at the last moment. Salvador gave him another look of contempt as she turned back towards Emma who had pushed up to all fours; the Brazilian wrestler standing over her foe and put on a gun show for the sold out crowd before she stooped and looked to pull Emma upwards and set her up for the Typhoon Driver. However, Emma jerked her hands free before Bianca could get her into the pumphandle position and drove a mule kick backwards into Salvador’s knee cap causing her to stumble and drop to one knee. Bianca immediately stood back upright as Emma spun and left her feet to catch the Franchise member with a spinning knee strike to the side of her head.

Zack: Jesus, did you see the impact of that knee right to Bianca’s jaw?! I’m not sure Salvador knows where the hell she is!

Mai: Sure, she does. She’s in a match, because it’s not like that kind of thing happens in the produce aisle at the supermarket!

The Brazilian wrestler staggered to the side, barely getting two steps before Emma once more left her feet and delivered the Playing with Scissors headscissors DDT that spiked the No Surrender Champion down onto her head before she made the cover and hooked her legs as Wilson slid into position to make the count.

Mai: Oh no, not PLAYING WITH SCISSORS!!

One…

Two…

...THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zack: Make that OH YES! Emma Mack has just picked up the most impressive win since she returned earlier this year!

Wilson called for the bell as Emma rolled out of the cover and came back up to a sitting position and was joined in the ring by her husband who helped her back to her feet.

Kat: Here is your winner, by way of pinfall… EMMA MACKENZIE!!!!

Mai: Once doesn’t count, Zack. I had Bianca ahead on points personally, so she’ll be the winner in my heart.

Zack: Lucky her! Emma will be the winner in reality, and that was a helluva showing from the Hall of Famer!

Ryan raised her hand in the air as Stephen Wilson did the same on the other side of the ring, getting a loud cheer from the crowd. Bianca rolled out of the ring and was helped to her feet by Mika and Kyle who checked she was okay as the No Surrender Champion held her head; the Russian laying the No Surrender Championship belt over her shoulder. Emma continued her celebration in the ring, getting applauded by her husband as the show cut elsewhere.

Luci’s Dance Card

A clip from Breaking Point shows highlights from the match between Luci and Caitlyn Storm. As it ends, we find her and her husband watching it alongside Allison Marx. They then turned to the camera.

Allison: This past Saturday night, we got to see what I thought was a terrific match between Luci and Caitlyn Storm. And as you just saw, Caitlyn secured her spot in the Global Wars ladder match. Given the type of opponents you’ve been facing, Luci, I suspect Caitlyn was a breath of fresh air, since you didn’t have to worry about anything but focusing on her.

Luci nods in agreement.

Luci: Oh and how! I’m disappointed to lose that match, but I can live with it. Caitlyn was everything that I expected her to be, and the better woman won the match. Congrats to her! And good luck in the ladder match!

Vincent: Miss Storm is exceptionally talented, and there’s no doubt about that. She was clearly a very strong choice to represent this country, and has only went from strength to strength in Global Wars. There’s no shame in a match like that, and she earned it. However, I am still very proud of my wife.

Allison: Of course, no reason not to be. But you both may be happy to know that Luci here will also be part of the Global Wars event next month.

Vincent: You’d be correct, Miss Marx. I know Luci enjoys keeping busy, and so far she’s undefeated on these events in FFW with an impressive 1 and 0 to her name.

Luci: Would it be correct/ Of course it would be correct! I love doing this so to get the chance again is just brilliant for me. Especially given that it’ll be the last event of the year. So who am I getting into the ring with?

Allison: Well it won’t be someone like Caitlyn, but it will be someone you’ve never faced before in FFW.

Vincent: Well given she’s had less than 5 matches since returning, that certainly doesn’t narrow down the field at all, Miss Marx.

Alison: It’ll be the only woman who has won Global Wars twice, and I am referring to Valentina Lozano. Like I said, she’s not exactly like Caitlyn.

Vincent: If by not exactly, you mean nothing at all, yes.

Luci’s face, which had once been an expression of enjoying herself, and smiling, visibly soured at the mention of Valentina’s name.

Luci: Well firstly, there’s what Vincent said. And then there’s...well, the small situation that is Valentina. I am...not sure how to address this in a way that has not been addressed before. I am not going to suggest that she is a poor wrestler, far be it from me to lie. Global Wars has been a good event to Valentina, which is arguably the most positive thing she’s ever really had going for her.

Vincent: We regret to inform her that this year’s Global Wars will not be so enjoyable for her. Actually, regret is the wrong word. We look forward to informing her, I should say.

Allison: And lastly, Luci, you will also be part of 2nd Impact featuring FFW versus Future Shock. This past week, you got to see what your opponent can do up close and personal. What did you take away from Nora Harris’ match at Nemesis?

Luci: I didn’t take much that I didn’t know already. I know how talented Nora is, and the excitement of that match is only growing, so I’ll be looking forward to getting into the ring with her. Though seeing firsthand just how disorienting that giant swing can be...yeah I think I’m gonna try and avoid that one!

Vincent: Miss Harris is equally impressive. I’d almost think she and Caitlyn could be on par with one another in skills and talent. But unlike the first Impact special, there is no plan in mind by Luci to let the Prospects clean sweep again. I can’t speak for the rest of the roster, but I suspect the women of FFW will be even more determined to ensure that doesn’t happen a second time this year.

Luci: Agreed entirely, love. I want the prospects to do well, let me be clear of that. I am excited to be part of a show that allows them to show just how talented they are against those who await them when they receive their call ups. It just isn’t my intention to fall to one of them.

Allison: As you can tell, folks, Luci’s dance card is pretty full as we head towards the onf of 2019 for FFW. And when we come back, the main event is coming up next between Savannah Star and Shaughnessy O’Neill.

Allison thanks them both before Velocity cuts to a commercial break.

Stuck In a Rut

The capacity crowd in Newark are on their feet as “Rise” By Sixx Am begins to play. Nevaeh Summers makes her way, dressed casually as she has decided not to take part in dressing up for the holiday. Nevaeh makes her way  down the aisle and is sporting a stoic expression on her face as she does. She slaps a few fans hands as she approaches the ring steps and walks up them. Nevaeh soon enters the ring and asks for a microphone from Kat Grayson. The crowd is giving Nevaeh an enthusiastic response as the blonde looks out to them and gives them a nod of the head. She doesn’t waste much time bringing the microphone to her mouth and speaking

Nevaeh: Thank you all  for that reception. I know tonight is about having fun and a good time and all that stuff. As you can see I’m not participating in dressing up, but a blonde on Halloween? You know how that works out.

Nevaeh deadpanned as a chuckle comes from the crowd. The blonde held a hand up quickly

Nevaeh: I’m just gonna take it easy this year on that front. I’ll let you all get back to the fun here soon. I just felt the need to come out here tonight and get something off my chest. Something that’s been brewing inside of me for abit. But got blown up even more a few days ago.

Nevaeh pauses as she looks off momentarily. Nevaeh scratches the side of her face, contemplating something, before bringing the microphone back to her mouth.

Nevaeh: I’ve learned to deal with some unsavory truths over the past few months. I find it’s best to approach life like that. Trying to ignore facts and whatnot doesn’t help you get better. It stunts your growth. So I try and take everything head on. No matter what it is. Well I have another obstacle to face and I got to admit..this one stings

Nevaeh grimaced slightly, biting her bottom lip for a moment

Nevaeh: I pride myself on coming out here and being good, but that hasn't been the case for abit of time now. If you take out my dq win over Jo, which I do. Who really wants to be happy with a win by dq, ya know? If ya take that out I’m currently on a six match losing streak. There was a time I didn’t lose six matches in combined years. But 2019 hasn’t been my best year in ring. That’s safe to say. You know it, I know it. It’s okay to say it. But to be in this sort of rut sucks. That’s just the plain truth. This sucks to be going through. It’s embarrassing really.

Nevaeh paused again, letting out a long sigh as she stared out to the capacity crowd. She shook her head as she did a pained expression coming over her face.

Nevaeh: This is me standing here, telling you how I feel about all of this. To admit that I just have not been good enough and it’s not just a bad night. This has been constantly going on. I’ve been close in my matches, but that doesn’t mean anything. Not to me right now. This is some horror movie type stuff I’ve been dealing with with getting my shoulders pinned to the mat or being forced to submit on a consistent basis. Loss after loss piling up. No wrestler sets out to lose. WE cpmpete and train to try and be the better wrestler and for me...I’m just not that. So why would I bring up such a thing like this? Why make such a low moment in my career so publicly known?

Nevaeh paused once more and looked out to the crowd. Her stoic expression returned as she jabbed a finger into her chest.

Nevaeh: It’s my reality. This is what I’m dealing with. I understand it. I have stepped into this ring and not gotten the job done. I’ve faced some tough competition, but if I want to be where I want to be I gotta come through. And I haven’t. I haven’t been good enough to defeat these women. A run like this isn’t gonna have me in any sort of title contention. Nor should it. I don’t deserve anything. I have not proven that I do. With me performing like this I just leave the door even more open for questions. Jo made her thoughts clear. There are gonna be other riff raff who want to pile on.

Nevaeh now had a look of annoyance on her face.

Nevaeh: Ya got casey Atherton already popping off about saving me once again.

The crowd began booing loudly, but Nevaeh quickly seemed ill upon saying that. She put a hand to her chest and seemed in an uncomfortable state. She held her index finger in the air before speaking.

Nevaeh: Excuse me, everytime I hear that I have to stop myself from vomiting all over the place. Casey is a liar, she has been for quite some time. Nothing has changed. Just want to clear that up for the record. But she brings it up again because of where I am in my life. People like her seem to think they can just come take shots at me when I’m at my lowest.

Nevaeh stopped, her face now turning into a scowl as she glared at the camera.

Nevaeh: It’s gonna make people feel empowered to come out to ringside and start rating my matches. As if they feel they have a right to and nothing will happen to them.

Nevaeh took in a long, deep breath, but clearly was not amused by the antics.

Nevaeh: And that is why I’m out here tonight. I’m here to make two things well known to everybody who can hear my voice and please pay very close attention to me when I say this.

One: I am in a rut, I’m not the wrestler I want to be, but I’m gonna work my ass off to snap out of this and get on the right track. I am going to turn this around. I will, I know I will. I will fix what is going on with me. And second..this is kinda intertwined..

Two: You have this idea in your head Tara Cortez that you can do whatever you want. It’s like you feel you’re immune to everything around you and you can do as you please.

Nevaeh was getting more animated as she pointed to the outside of the ring.

Nevaeh: You come down to ringside during my match. You mouth off to me, you mock me. The first time you had your sisters there to save your ass. Well they ain’t here this time are they? No, they;re not. You need to understand that. I’m not in a joking mood. You want to rate things you do it at your own risk. But understand me and I will say it slowly so you can get it through that mass you call a head.

Nevaeh walked towards the ropes and leaned over, staring at the hard camera

Nevaeh: Do not make the mistake of thinking I’m weak. We’re set to meet at Global Wars. One on one, hopefully. You want to try your luck, I’m about to show you that there’s still plenty left in the tank for me.

Nevaeh stared at the camera with an intense look in her eyes. The capacity crowd cheered on her remarks as nevaeh  dropped the microphone, but never broke her glare at the camera. She eventually did mouth the words “Don’t play with me” and then began to take her leave.

Title: Re: FFW Velocity - October 31, 2019
Post by: Adam Grant on November 01, 2019, 06:47:48 pm

Velocity returns from the commercial break back to the ring, and a spotlight hangs over Kat Grayson as she begins to speak.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is your main event of the evening.

Zack: That was our last commercial break, fans. We’re about to see a rematch of Unstoppable 10’s main event, but without a referee or the title on the line. I’ve got Kyle Kilmeade with me, the manager of the FFW Champion. I’m sure you heard about WarGames earlier. How long have you known about it?

Kyle: That was a first for me Zack. Believe it or not, I’m not as entrenched in Samantha Star’s inner circle as some may think. When you found out, so did I.

There was silence; the lights began to fade away slowly. A soft instrumental echoes out across the audience. It starts slowly, a beautiful sound that contrasts the heaviness of the world. Like feathers, it glides among the waiting audience. The lighting fixtures produce a gentle spotlight upon the stage, offset by the occasional flash here and there. As 'Just Close Your Eyes' by Waterproof Blonde continues to play, a woman’s words begin to come through. Her voice is tender, not raising upon a whisper.

"Deceived by my eyes and all I was told I should see
Opinions not mine, the person they taught me to be
One night in the dark, a vision of someone I knew
And in the darkness I saw, a voice say, I'm you."

On the stage, a feminine figure appears. Her head lowered to everything. People cannot make out who it is. As she stands there, the flashes briefly illuminate her figure. It only gives small clues on who stands at the gate. She stands in the spotlight, her shadow cast large and proudly among the stage.

"Inside me a light was turned on…"

The instrumental picks up again. An electric guitar now joins the progressively exciting instrumentals of before. The singer’s voice suddenly intensifies.

"Then I was alive!"

In the light, it is revealed that it was Savannah Taylor. She stands at the gate, a robe of obsidian and ivory hues. The hood of it shadows her eyes, but the intensity of the final EXODUS World Champion remains clear as day. She starts off down the ramp, with a serious aura radiating from her body.

Kat: Ladies and gentlemen, making her way down to the ring....weighing in at one hundred twenty pounds.....from Las Vegas, Nevada.....Savannah Star !!!

"If you close your eyes your life,
A naked truth revealed
Dreams you never lived,
And scars never healed"

Savannah makes her way up the ring steps. She looks out towards the audience for a moment before entering the ring. From there, she heads for a turnbuckle. She stands there, taking in everything. She then lifts her up on top of it. She peers out in nothing, then takes off the hood with a flashy flourish. Her blonde locks fly up in the air. They descend, shaping her face as they famously do.

"In the darkness, light will take you to the other side
You'll find me waiting there you'll see, if you just close your eyes."

While she stands in her corner, she closes her eyes and takes a heavy breath. When her bright eyes open, Taylor is completely composed. There is nothing more than the heat of battle awaiting her. She takes off her robe, giving it to a stagehand. She stretches her wrists before devoting her mind to the war upon the horizon.

Zack: Savannah must feel like she’s walking into a trap. And with what we found out earlier from the owner of this company, her mind may not be fully on this match right now.

Kyle: I don’t blame her, I would be too. But if she doesn’t get things done tonight in this match, her chances of ever getting another shot are slim to none.

The crowd gets plunged into darkness. The silence gets broken by John Youle as he starts to make the introduction.

Kat: Hailing from Sherbrooke in the province of Quebec, Canada. She weighs in at 142lbs and stands 5’8” tall. This is the current and reigning FFW Champion… “ONE WOMAN SHOW” SHAUGHNESSY O’NEILL!!!

Alice Cooper’s Poison begins to play as the video wall shows close ups of different parts of Shaw’s face before finally cutting to a live feed of the young woman as the spotlight hits her in the middle of the stage. Starting to nod her head along to the beat of the music with the championship belt sat on her shoulder, the young woman heads down to the ring, the spotlight following her all the way to the ring, eyes never leaving her challenger. Rolling under the bottom rope Shaw kips up to her feet and stands in a corner, checking everything about her ring gear is in position before she finally passes her title belt off to the official while she waits to start the match.

Zack: Shaw is going to have a title defense at Global Wars, but Samantha didn’t state against who earlier. I’m guessing you don’t have any idea either, based off what you said.

Kyle: You’d be right. That was the first I heard about that too. But whoever it is, she’ll be ready. Shaw is one of the most intelligent women in the sport, she’ll be ready for anyone honestly.

Referee Ashley Pruitt hands Shaw’s title to Kat as she leaves the ring, and then checks both women for weapons. Finding none, she calls for the bell as Shaw and Savannah look across at one another from their corners. Savannah’s eyes narrow before she heads towards Shaw, who meets her in the center of the ring with a collar and elbow tie-up. Both women jockey for position until Shaw transitions into an overhand wristlock. Star’s arm gets twisted, causing her to lean over to alleviate the pressure as Shaw tries to bring her to her knees. But Savannah remains standing, only doubled over. When the champion tries to wring it, the blonde catches her with a kick to the stomach. Savannah jerks her arm away, and spins into Shaw with a back elbow to the jaw. A rear waistlock follows that before Shaw starts firing elbows of her own, trying to catch Savannah’s head. But the Las Vegas beauty avoids the shots, and shoves the champion towards the ropes. Shaw stops herself before she hits the ropes, and turns into a running European uppercut to the jaw that sends her reeling. A snapmare takedown from Savannah puts her on the mat before she drops to apply a rear chinlock.

Zack: Shaw and Savannah both are showing us some of their technical prowess here, and this starting off a lot more cerebrally than I thought it would.

Kyle: They know each other better now. Neither of them wants to make the first big mistake. But I think Savannah will goof up first, just look at her history.

Savannah worked that chinlock, grinding her arm against the side of Shaw’s head. The FFW Champion started to get to her feet, but was still stuck in Savannah’s grip. Shaw tried to shoot her off into the ropes, but it didn’t work. Instead Savannah pulled her with her into a bulldog against the turnbuckle. It wobbled the brunette for a second, and Savannah delivered a twisting neckbreaker to put her down. She went to set up her double leg Muta lock, and Shaw immediately rolled away from her. As the champion got to her feet, Savannah flashed a grin at her as if to say she almost had her.

Kyle: She couldn’t have thought she was gonna get that on Shaw this early in the match. And if she did, she’s already severely underestimating her, which is stupid.

Zack: There’s not much Savannah would enjoy more than making Shaw tap out tonight, and we know that would certainly line her up for another shot at the FFW Championship.

Savannah tried to surprise her by rushing Shaw as she was getting up, and it worked with a forearm to the jaw that sent her back into the ropes. She fired the champion across to the far side, and Shaw rebounded into a spinning backfist from the blonde. Star scooped her up, and dropped her with a brainbuster to the canvas and immediately went for the cover with a hook of the leg.

Zack: Savannah’s strategy is working like gangbusters, and she’s already got the cover on the FFW Champion!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Shaw kicked out as the two hit, and Savannah quickly got to her feet. She headed for the corner, and crouched down to wave Shaw back to her feet. When the brunette finally got up, Savannah went for a handspring back elbow that Shaw sidestepped. When the would-be challenger landed on her feet, Shaw spun her around and dropped her with an impaler DDT.

Kyle: See what I mean? She started trying to get cute with acrobatics, and that’s what happens. Savannah should have stayed on her original plan, it worked a lot better.

Shaw sat up, and got herself together before mounting the blonde’s back. She pulled her head up with one hand, and fired forearms into her head with the other. Seven of them connected before she bounced her face off the mat, and got back to her feet. Shaw pulled her up into a rear waistlock, and snapped off a German suplex that sent her into the corner. The Las Vegas Siren slumped against the turnbuckles before Shaw bounced off the far side and came back with a face wash boot to her jaw.

Kyle: Shaw doesn’t go in for the cute stuff or trying to dazzle anyone. She approaches every match the same, and treats them all like they are after her title.

Zack: She’s certainly turned on the aggression since she took control of this match. And we know what she’s looking for too.

Savannah tried to pull herself together in the corner, but was still leaning against the turnbuckles when Shaw caught her with a running knee to her head. This time, she grabbed the top rope and started hammering those knees in repeatedly until the referee warned her to let Savannah out of the corner. Shaw backed up with her hands up, and darted right back into a sliding forearm to her jaw. She rolled away back to her feet, and pulled Savannah away from the corner to make a cover with a leg hook.

Zack: Everything’s been concentrated to that one corner from Shaw, and Savannah may not even know where she is right now!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Star kicked out just after the two, and Shaw floated into a front facelock on the mat. From there, she began a gator roll on the mat and moved Savannah all over the ring in the process. She finally stopped, and pulled her up still in the hold to execute a double underhook DDT.

Kyle: I remember Caroline used that hold a lot, and it really saps your opponent’s stamina. I don’t think Savannah has much of that left at this point, if I’m honest.

The blonde started to get to her feet as Shaw circled around her, watching her and letting her get up again. As soon as she did, Shaw grabbed her by the head from behind. But Savannah countered into a stunner that surprised Shaw and everyone else as she collapsed to the mat. Star sat up, trying to get her wits about her as the crowd was making more noise for her. It seemed to help revive her as she started back to her feet. She glanced over to see Shaw still on the mat, and let her start getting up before she took off towards the ropes. When the Champion was back to her feet, Savannah left hers with a meteora to the chest that floored Shaw again. Star climbed back to her feet, and headed towards the corner to make her way up top. She wasn’t there long before she launched herself into her springboard 450 splash that landed perfectly on target before she went for the cover.

Zack: Savannah struck hard and fast with DANCING MAD, and it could be her ticket back to the FFW Championship picture right now!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

TH-NOPE!!!

Shaw got her shoulder up off the mat, and Savannah quickly got back to her feet. She headed for the corner again, but stopped halfway up to see where Shaw was. But the champion wasn’t in sight until the brunette connected with a superkick between Savannah’s legs into her face that crumpled her into the corner.

Kyle: You always waste time when you keep going up top. And you never ever… ever take your eyes off the FFW Champion.

As Savannah leaned against the corner, Shaw took off towards her with a running crossbody to sandwich her against the turnbuckles. The champion pulled her out by her feet towards the center of the ring, and pulled the blonde into position for her piledriver finisher. But Savannah seemed to sense it coming, and stood up with Shaw hanging behind her before Star drilled ehr with a backdrop driver on the back of her head. Shaw collapsed to the mat, and Savannah sat up with a groggy look on her face.

Zack: Just like Shaw knew that ACE OF SPADES was coming earlier, Savannah is hyper aware of that flip piledriver Shaw loves to use. There’s been a lot of studying of each other between them.

The Las Vegas Siren got to her feet, still a little shaky after what she’d taken. A double knee drop to Shaw’s chest followed before Savannah headed back to the corner again. She made her way up top when she heard the boos beginning to rumble through the arena. She glanced behind her to see Mika, Jo, her father and Mel heading down the ramp. The former No Surrender Champion dropped down off the apron as the three women each took one side of the ring with Tommy taking the fourth.

Zack: I said at the outset that Savannah must feel like she’s walking into a trap, and I was right! The majority of the Franchise is out here, and Savannah has absolutely no one.

Kyle: That’s the reason you have groups, for all you watching. When you got people behind you, that prevents things like what we are about to see happen to Savannah.

The referee tried to tell each of them to leave the ring as they each began to climb up onto the apron. Savannah kept turning, trying to keep her eyes on all of them at once before she decided to go straight after Mika. Star began to unload as Mel and Tommy were almost into the ring…. Members of Chaotic Temptation took off down the ramp. The Unity Champions and Missy hit the ringside area with OE pulling Mika down. They started trading blows while Missy intercepted Mel. Scarlett jerked Tommy down off the apron, and shook her finger at him.

Zack: What’s this all about?! Members of Chaotic Temptation have come to even the odds, and I don’t think anyone was expecting this!

Kyle: They really don’t know what they are signing themselves up for, do they?

Zack: There’s no loveloss with any of these women, and Jo just got her father’s kendo stick! There’s fights on the floor, and Savannah’s about to have a two on one when Shaw gets up!!

Savannah turned just as Jo caught her in the ribs with the kendo stick, causing for the bell to sound. The “Rebel Child” started wearing Savannah out with the stick, cracking it across the blonde’s body till she fell to her knees on the mat. Jo glanced over to see Shaw getting up, and tossed her the stick. The redhead pulled Savannah’s head up, and gave Shaw a free shot. The French-Canadian looked down at the stick, and all the fighting on the outside and then back to Jo and Savannah with a scowl.

Zack: Jo’s holding Savannah in place, and she’s gonna let Shaw take her head off with that goddamn kendo stick! Don’t tell me you didn’t know anything about this!

Kyle: You wouldn’t believe me if I did!

The boos only got louder as Shaw leaned back with the kendo stick like a baseball player, and fired it into the side of...JO’S head! The fans in the arena were shocked, and then popped as Shaw started whipping Jo with the kendo stick instead. Savannah got away from the redhead, and looked up to see Shaw as she tossed the stick aside and stared back at her.

Zack: What the hell is going on?! Look at Savannah’s face, she’s dumbfounded! And she’s not the only one! Shaw beat Jo down with her own kendo stick, and I don’t believe it!!

Tommy got away from Scarlett, and pulled his daughter out of the ring as the Franchise headed back to the ramp en masse. Scarlett, OE, and Missy climbed into the ring and circled around Savannah to help her to get up again. The blonde looked around at the three women and then back to Shaw.

Zack: That’s your client! Tell me what that was about! I’m not complaining, but Shaw just whipped Jo like a wild animal! And….I don’t think anyone knows what to think.

Kyle: …………………….

Zack: Say something! I guess Samantha was wrong, Savannah does have some allies….Chaotic Temptation…..and Shaw?! I hope we get some answers at Breaking Point next Saturday before Global Wars! I bet Samantha is fuming!

Savannah glanced back to the Franchise with Chaotic Temptation lining up beside her as they encouraged the group to come back to the ring. OE sat on the ring rope, inviting them back as the members of the Franchise looked at one another and started to head back to the ring.

Zack: I think this thing is about to kick off again! Members of the Franchise are on their way back! Savannah and Chaotic Temptation are giving them the invite! And we’re out of time!

The Franchise made it to the bottom of the ramp as Savannah and Chaotic Temptation moved away from the ropes to let them back into the ring for another round. Star glanced back to Shaw, who grabbed the kendo stick again and handed it to Savannah. The Las Vegas Siren took it warily, still with a questioning look.

Zack: We’ll see you next Saturday at Breaking Point! Have Chaotic Temptation joined with Savannah? Does she have partners for WarGames now? And what on Earth is going through Shaw’s mind?! Who’s gonna challenge for the FFW Championship at Global Wars?! A whole lot of questions that we need answers to! And we’re out of time!

A staredown from the members of the Franchise at ringside to Savannah and members of Chaotic Temptation in the ring is the last image before the final Velocity of 2019 goes off the air.
