Ok so we all understand the concept of Picbases... As that is who your character looks like but what I want to know is who do you envision your characters sounding like so we can get a comprehension of their voices...
I'll do a full list of my lot in a bit but for example
Jenny Williams - Paula Patton
That is how I picture for Jenny's voice.
So Who are your characters voice bases?

This is such an amazing topic!! It's funny as well because I was just talking with someone the other night about what we imagined our characters sounding like!!
I may have to give some thought to who I'd want to use as a voice base though, but I do know that neither of my characters pic-bases would work for their voices, lol!! Syren wouldn't sound anything like her pic-base. I'm not sure who she would sound like though, but I do have a voice in my own head for her when I write that's very much "default Southern California".
As for Ravyn, under her original pic-base I could kind of see that voice working, Maria Kanellis. I changed her base to join FFW though, and now I'm so glad I did since I love Emilia Clarke as her base now (after five years it took me a while to get used to the change though, lol) but... well, English pic-base voice for American character doesn't work!
I definitely need to put some thought to WHO she'd sound like now though, but it's hard given that I've written the characters both for around five years now (Ravyn five and a bit, Syren five years in a few weeks) and I have very distinct voices for them in my head.
Great topic though, and very interesting to see what other people imagine their characters sounding like. I may have to steal this topic for reuse elsewhere! Lol

Emma sounds like me. So imaginative Jo is Kelly McDonald (Merida from Brave/Evangeline from Nanny McPhee) The rest I never really gave a whole lot of thought to. Might actually have to do that...>_>

Aimee is her pic base (Dessa):
Of course Aimee is evil and Dessa seems like a cool person, so there's a bit of imagination involved.
Colleen is jennifer hale (aka female commander shepard in mass effect)
Christopher Daniels is Anders' voice

I've never really thought about this. I've always imagined my characters sounding like their base.

I'll do these in installments! Ha! My most infamous voice base is Stacey. I have it written into her character that her voice is unbelievably irritating, and that's pretty much the case. Cristina Scabbia from Lacuna Coil is Isabella's. I love that accent. Charlotte Church is Undine. And on that Welsh note, Katherine Jenkins is Ignis. And finally for round one, here's Sophie. I'll check back in with more later.

Since Angelina Love's voice would never work for Maddie, I lean towards a British Angelina Jolie. The similar names being a coincidence, of course. Jolie can put the right amount of scorn in her voice.
Thatcher Rex is me, with a bit of a Triple H growl. If that makes sense.

Yeah, except Emma's been in America for six years & has probably learned how to speak without confusing viewers. Though she might still do that to annoy people And Johni...I hate you. As if it wasn't bad enough Steven's mum made me put with Easties, you make me have to imagine Stacey as one of them?! GAHHHHHH!!!! ...Makes total sense though!
