Live from the Future Shock Center in Los Angeles, California
November 29, 2016

“Jungle” by Jamie N Commons & the X Ambassadors begins to play as the FFW logo flashes across the screen before we see a woman striking a heavy bag with each of the drum beats in the song. With each strike, we see members of the inaugural class in action such as Katie Day coming off the top rope, Ji-Hu watching with a smirk and a Slurpee in her hand as Max apparently is screaming at the camera, Angelina performing her corkscrew senton, Carmen Gutierrez flying through the air, and finally Gillie Barnes lacing up her boots..

The strikes on the heavy bag continue as each of the girls are shown before the arrival of several of the alumni roster. The new class turn to see Leah O’Quinn, Cereza, Bianca Salvador, Mel Avilo and Anna Giovanna step across from them. The class look at one another and then back to the Future Shock alumni as a couple of the girls crack their knuckles and look back to the ring sitting behind them. There they see Adam holding the ropes open for them before a lightning bolt strikes the screen and the Future Shock logo appears.

From there, we cut live inside the Future Shock Center as we hear quite a large throng of fans as they see themselves on international television. As the camera pans the facility to show the fans, it finally settles ringside where we find Zack and Linda Ragnal.

Zack: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Future Shock Center here in Los Angeles, California! You’re watching the twelfth edition since the relaunch in May, ad tonight, we have a massive card. Not to mention the main event you voted to see, a triple threat for the Aspire Ring as Ji-Hu Myeong faces Sophia Pike and Harley Shannon. Zack here, alongside as always, Linda Ragnal.

Linda: Thank you Zack, happy as always to be here, and for the final Future Shock of 2016. I hope the fans are excited as I am to see what note we end on before moving into 2017.

Zack: Also tonight, Adam has promised one way or another that we are going to get to the bottom of some of the things that have been going on lately. I talked to him before the show went on the air, and he promised me we will find out about the orange ninja who has been making her presence felt for several weeks...and we’ll find out tonight!

Linda: Well thank god for that. Her presence in the Missy vs. Sunny match last show was particularly odd, so the fact that we’ll have that question finally answered is a relief to anyone paying attention there.

Almost as soon as they finish talking about it, the cameras head to the back where we see Adam talking to members of the security team as he points them in various directions backstage in the Center.

Adam: I want you guys at every exit back here, one at every door. You’ve seen what she looks like, you know to look for the orange jumpsuit. She doesn’t leave, and you use those walkie talkies to call me if you see her. I know she’s here already.

Security Guy: How do you know that?

Adam pulls a throwing star out of his pocket, and shows it to them.

Adam: I found this earlier. She’s in the building.

The security team nods in agreement as he points in each direction, letting them disperse before we go back to Zack & Linda.

Zack: That certainly proves that we have company somewhere in the Center tonight, the orange ninja is here and she’s not getting out without going through somebody first.

Linda: Adam has the security team as stacked as humanly possible, so I think it’s likely we’ll see her caught in the act. But, ninjas are a sneaky breed...

The next thing we see is Gaby with a floodlight in her hand as she walks around all four corners of the ring to lift up the apron, and peer underneath. She checks all four sides, and goes back to the timekeeper’s table as she tells the camera there’s no one under there.

Linda: And it looks like after what happened last time as well, Gaby had to check under the ring to make sure she wouldn’t be hiding there. This is definitely a level of awareness you don’t often see in place in most other promotions.

Zack: You got that right, and--we’re going outside?!

The show then cuts to the staff parking lot behind the Center as two more security team members are on the ground looking up at the roof as another member of the team walks back to let them know no one is up there either as he starts to head down a ladder.

Linda: Well...they did see her on the rooftop during Gillie and Kat’s sumo fight, so it makes sense. Is there anywhere else security might be we haven’t thought of already?

Zack: Wait...we’re going where?!

The show cuts back inside as we see a female member of the security team heading out of the women’s restroom, shaking her head as she and another team member head off before we go back to Zack & Linda.

Zack: They are even combing the ladies restroom here at the Center. Adam wasn’t kidding about getting to the bottom of this.

Linda: Talk about hedging your bets. I get that he’s adamant about getting that ninja and all, but where else is there to look?

Zack: If we get any updates from the back on this, we’ll keep you posted. Adam has put the Center on lockdown for tonight’s show, as he aims to catch the orange ninja. With all this security and the precautions being taken, I feel confident we’re going to find out who this woman is before we leave the air tonight.

The cameras go to the back again as we see security posted at each exit door, one man each as he peers out the window of the door and back. From one door to the next to the next. As we start to cut away from the last door back to the ring with the security guard looking outside, someone in orange darts past the camera at very close range until we go to Gaby waiting.

Linda: Well with security all over and showing us the doors are safely secured, I think-Wait, was that the ninja?!

Zack: If it was, she’s not getting out of the Center tonight, I don’t think. We’re gonna kick things off here with our opening match.

With the crowd ready and buzzing, Gaby lifts the microphone to begin to speak.

Gaby: The opening contest of Future Shock is scheduled for one fall!

April Evans heads towards the ring to a warm reception from the crowd, greeting a few fans at ringside before she steps through the ropes and goes to her corner. She stops to greet Gaby on the way.

Gaby: Introducing first, from Reading, Pennsylvania...she is the Future Shock Season 8 Champion…...APRIL EVANS!!!

Zack: April Evans getting a warm reception here from the fans, and she looks ready for business. Last we saw her, she was going toe to toe with Kimmi Hate. But you can rest assured she has her mind on Sunny tonight. They will meet at Whiplash in February!

Linda: It’d be wise for April to NOT think about Sunny tonight, seeing as that’s not her opponent for this evening. Focusing on the woman not in front of you is likely going to cost April the fight.

The crowd gets loud again as Angelina heads towards the ring next, no tape on her arm or anything as she looks to be completely healed. She rolls into the ring, and hops up onto a middle turnbuckle to rally the crowd. She’s also wearing one of her new t-shirts, which she pulls off over her head and throws into the crowd as a keepsake.

Gaby: Introducing her opponent from Staten Island, New York...please welcome…..ANGELINA FANTASTICA!!!!

Fans: SHE’S ASS-TASTIC! SHE’S ASS-TASTIC!!

Zack: Angelina sporting her new shirt, which is available on our website. She is 100%, and the Ass-tastic One has a powerhouse of a woman standing across from her tonight. But at least she isn’t coming in injured as she has been in recent matches.

Linda: Not since that attack from Sophia Pike prior to her shot at the Aspire Ring have we seen Angelina with a fully functioning arm. She’s tried to fight, I’ll give her that, but now it’s time to see how she’s holding up now that she can fight properly.

Referee Kevin Fisk steps through the ropes, checking both women before asking if they were ready. Both agreed they were before he called for the bell. April and Angelina headed towards the center, with Evans offering a handshake which was returned. They locked up from there with Evans easily pushing the smaller brunette backwards, though Fantastica broke free of the grip as they got to the ropes. April went to grab her again, but Fantastica ducked behind her out of the way. Before she could turn around to face her, Angelina began to fire rapid kicks into her ribs and back to stun her. It caused April to lurch forward before a drop toe hold from Angelina landed her across the middle rope. The New Yorker hopped back to her feet and took off for the far side. She rebounded quickly before using a baseball slide to hit the floor, spin around, and catch April with a front kick to the face that sent her rolling back onto the canvas. A smile on the New Yorker’s face formed as she heard the crowd, and slid back under the bottom rope and applied a side headlock on April.

Linda: Angelina’s taking these opening moments to highlight what shape she’s in, and Ms. Fantastica is showing she certainly hasn’t missed a beat since Resistance!

Zack: At 100%, she seems like she’s possibly even a little quicker since the last time we saw her in the ring. This is not the pace April Evans wants to have.

Angelina begins to grind on the headlock, trying to cinch it in tighter as April starts to get back to her feet. When she finally does, she tries to shoot Angelina into the ropes but the luchadora isn’t willing to budge. She tries again with a little more force. This time, it works as Fantastica hits the far side. April ducks her head as she comes back, causing Angelina to use a leapfrog to vault over her and land behind her. Before the powerhouse can turn around, Angelina grabs her and executes a side Russian leg sweep before she nips up to her feet and drives an elbow drop into her chest as she tries to sit up.

Zack: Angelina’s not quick, she’s sudden! April’s having a little trouble managing to keep up with what is Angelina’s greatest asset in this match, that speed of hers.

Linda: With the way she moves you certainly almost think she has eyes in the back of her head. Good for keeping up with April’s strength.

She tries to pull the powerhouse to her feet, only for April to shove her backwards with one  hand. But that doesn’t deter Angelina as she gets shoved back into the ropes, and rebounds off them as April gets to her feet. Fantastica leaves her feet, looking for a headscissors takedown...only for April to grab her legs and snap her down with an Alabama slam. Angelina bounces off the mat as April takes a moment to collect herself. The luchadora holds the back of her head in obvious pain before April moves towards her, picking her up into the air and walking out from under her after a military press. Fantastica lands hard on the canvas as April doubles back, pulling her back to her feet and over one shoulder into a running powerslam.

Zack: There’s a huge difference right there. Angelina can hit a flurry of moves that will take April down, but just one from April gets the job done. And now Staten Island’s favorite daughter is learning what it feels like to be manhandled by the Season 8 Champion.

Linda: Indeed she is, one wrong move or missed opportunity in a match can cost Angelina momentum, and April is manhandling her every way she can to keep her down long enough for the three.

Evans gets back to her feet, planting a foot into Angelina’s back before pulling her arms behind her into a surfboard submission. April clutches her wrists tightly as she tries to pull up, causing the referee to ask Angelina if she wants to submit. That gets a negative response as April continues to work the submission.

Linda: I’ll give Angelina this, her arm is definitely in better condition, otherwise she’d be in much worse pain.

Zack: This is the kind of pace Evans wants. She wants to keep Angelina grounded, and slowly break her down. It looks like the back is April’s primary point of attack.

Angelina’s fans began to get behind her again, chanting her name as April continued to pull back on her arms. Fantastica seemed helpless at this point, but refused to give up. Finally April moved her foot, using a face wash with it across Angelina’s face to drive it into the canvas before she released the hold. April pulled Angelina up onto her shoulders for a moment before running ahead a couple steps into a Samoan drop that crushed her into the mat. She rolled her over, and made the cover as Fisk dropped to count.

Zack: April’s finding every way she can to punish Angelina’s body with this powerful but definitely methodical offense. There’s the cover.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Angelina kicks out after the two as April starts back to her feet. Dragging Fantastica up to her feet, she whips her by the neck into the corner. And as soon as her back hits the turnbuckles, April charges in with a corner clothesline that crushes her in the corner.

Linda: Angelina is still in this fight, but April’s not going lightly at any point. Look at the way she whipped Angelina into the corner with her neck hitting the turnbuckles!

The Season 8 Champion drags her by the arm out of the corner to the center of the ring before she jerks her forward into a bearhug that lifts her off her feet. Angelina’s face shows the pain coursing through her body as April’s hands lock behind her lower back, while Evans lifts her off the mat as she squeezes tighter. Fisk moves around to one side, again checking to see if Angelina wants to quit. But she shakes her head...right before April starts shaking her like a rag doll for a few seconds. When she finally stops, Fantastica slumps over one shoulder in clear agony at this point as April tries to increase the pressure.

Zack: April can do this all day, she’s simply squeezing the life...the air out of Angelina Fantastica and not even letting her touch the ground while she does it!

Linda: Angelina’s struggling to get back into this fight, but April’s refusing to let her have that opportunity. She needs to work her brain as quickly as she does her body to get out of this.

Fantastica started to try to push away from her before she grabbed April’s head with both hands. From there, she delivered a headbutt into her face that rocked the powerhouse for a moment but not enough to get loose. She did it a second time, stunning the Season 8 Champion in the process but still not enough to get free of her grip. Fantastica raised her arm, and caught her flush in the face with elbow next! And that stumbled Evans before the powerhouse launched her with a belly to belly overhead suplex...but Fantastica landed on her feet and stumbled into the ropes. Evans got back up, storming right for her but walked right into a superkick she never saw coming!

Linda: There we go! There was a struggle for dominance, but Angelina looks to have the drivers seat once more with that superkick to Evans!

Zack: April never even saw it coming, but Angelina may have knocked her cold right there!

Fantastica collapsed on top of April as the referee dropped to make the count. The fans came to their feet in the process.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

April rolled her shoulder before the three as Angelina rolled off the top of her. Fantastica sat up, immediately clutching her back as she did because of April’s earlier offense. She started to crawl towards the corner, apparently to climb but not realizing April was beginning to get up as well...and come up behind her.

Linda: Angelina’s back must not be in the best condition right now after all April had done to it earlier. She’s still going to try for a high risk move, but April’s stirring and coming after her!

Angelina made it almost the whole way up before April’s arms wrapped her waist from behind. Evans tried to snap off a German suplex, but Angelina had both hands wrapped tightly around the top turnbuckle’s metal arm. April tried again with Angelina holding still!

Zack: April Evans is looking to send Angelina for a ride the hard way, but Fantastica has a death grip on the top rope! She knows that’s nowhere she wants to go!

Linda: Especially not from so high up, but that’s the risk that comes with the job. Hopefully Angelina doesn’t lose her grip as that’s all that keeps her from being splattered on the canvas.

April began to climb up onto the middle rope, trying to get into better position under her to throw her off. But Angelina wouldn’t let go of that arm for anything as April tried to snap her off again. Fantastica did let go with one hand, driving back elbows into the side of her head to try to get her to let go. Three of them connected, rocking April temporarily before Evans drove a headbutt into her lower back and causing her to freeze up in pan.

Zack: April’s on the middle rope, Angelina’s fighting like the devil to get free. One headbutt stopped that though. One way or another, someone’s coming down!

Linda: I think april got Angelina in that bad spot on her back. It’s never good when the opponent creates a weak point they can come back to later, as we see here!

Another back elbow from Angelina stunned April before the luchadora finally loosened her grip to stand up top. April went to launch her again, but Angelina countered as she went over her head and turned it into standing sitout shiranui and drove the back of April’s head to the canvas! Fantastica rolled forward, grabbing the outside leg for a cover as the crowd came to its feet.

Linda: Look at that shiranui Angelina countered with! This might be her chance to take the match!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

April managed to get her free leg across the bottom rope, causing the referee to stop his count and point it out to Angelina. The Staten Island beauty’s face fell as she saw it.

Zack: If Angelina had landed literally three inches farther away, this would be over! Evans has to be out cold at this point, that was instinct!

Linda: It’s Angelina’s time to shine, she needs to use this moment to take April down for the count. Can she pull it off?

Angelina crawled towards the ropes, dragging April by the arm to sit her against the bottom turnbuckle. Climbing back to her feet, she fired a few boots into her chest before she headed to the other corner and began to climb again, still with pain coursing through her back.

Zack: April’s in one corner, and Angelina’s….she’s gonna go coast to coast!

Linda: It’s a long distance flight, Zack, one that very few in this sport can say they can pull off! Let’s find out if Angelina can join that list!

April began to reach up very slowly as Angelina began to climb. Evans grabbed the top rope with both hands, pulling herself back up as Angelina turned on the top rope and launched herself! Fantastica flew like a bird, but right into April’s arms who snatched her out of midair and shook her head with a defiant “NO!”

Linda: Welp...that didn’t take.

Angelina began to fire rapid elbows into the side of her head as soon as she realized she was caught, hammering them in one after another. April went to throw her with a fallaway slam, but Angelina countered into a tornado DDT and drove onto the top of her head for a second before Evans hit the mat.

Zack: Angelina fought like a wild animal when she realized what happened, and a tornado DDT literally spiked April’s head to the mat!

Linda: April almost thought she had it, but Angelina is showing that quick thinking she had earlier, and it’s paying off for her!

Fantastica didn’t go for a cover, instead crawling towards the corner again as April lay prone in the center of the ring. The brunette scrambled to get up the corner, glancing again and again behind her to see where April was. She finally made it to the top rope as the crowd in the Center was on its feet all over again.

Zack: That’s the sign, Angelina’s gonna have feast or famine!

Fantastica launched herself into the corkscrew shooting star press, landing it as perfectly as anyone could before she hooked the outside leg for the cover. Fisk dropped to count.

Zack: THE AVENGING ANGEL!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Fisk called for the bell as Angelina rolled off the cover, sitting up and looking at him to be sure before he lifted her hand in the air.

Linda: I think Angelina was so dazed she actually had to check if she heard it right, but here’s Gaby now for confirmation!

Gaby: Here is your winner……….ANGELINA FANTASTICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!

Zack: Even Angelina wasn’t sure, but tonight Staten Island’s delegate to Future Shock just picked up a hard-fought win, to say the least! Well done, Angelina!

Linda: She’s definitely ending the year on a high note. Let’s hope for 2017 to be the year of Fantastica!

Angelina climbed back to her feet, leaning against the top rope with a smile as the crowd gave her plenty of support. April began to come around at this point, sitting up slowly as she held her ribs and giving Angelina a show of respect when they looked at one another.

As April got her bearings after a show of respect to Angelina, she turned back towards the crowd before a fist wrapped in a chain blindsided her on the jaw! Evans hit the canvas like a sack of bricks as Angelina looked to see what happened, only to get the same as it knocked her through the ropes to the floor. The camera looked up into the ring at the brunette who did it, now earning boos from the crowd as she looked down to her fist. It was Missy!

Linda: What the fu-?! What’s Missy doing?!

Zack: Look at that chain wrapped around her fist, she just laid them both out cold with it!

Missy mounted April’s chest, pounding that fist into her head till she started to bleed from the abuse. She tossed the chain away, and locked in her crossface submission on a clearly unconscious April as the referee tried to pull her off.

Zack: Evans is unconscious, and busted open! Angelina’s on the floor ringside, and Missy’s got that crossface locked it...she calls it the Paige Ripper!

Linda: I’m...a bit blindsided with this, but not enough to realize April’s already unconscious! Let go of her already!

Fisk finally managed to pull her off, letting April fall back to the canvas. Missy leaned down, scooping her chain back around her fist and looking down at it before she blasted Fisk in the jaw with it too. The referee fell to the mat as Missy looked out over the very loudly booing Future Shock crowd with a blood-stained chain around her fist.

Linda: Missy’s only had a handful of appearances in Future Shock, so I have to ask, did losing to Sunny get to her that badly?

Zack: I have no idea what has come over Missy, but clearly this is a whole new side we’ve never seen before. We’re gonna try to restore some order, we’ll be right back.

Future Shock heads to commercial break.

Chained Aggression

As Future Shock returns from the commercial break, we are shown once again the after match attack on April Evans by Missy before we go live backstage with Sara. The reporter is trying to catch up with Missy as she heads through the back just moments after what the video showed. She finally catches up with her, almost jogging alongside her to keep up with her as she’s moving along.

Sara: I only have the one question...if you don’t mind….

Sara remains in constant motion, along with the cameraman to keep up with the brunette.

Sara: Can you tell us exactly why you attacked April Evans after her match? What did she do to you?

Missy stops suddenly and rolls her eyes at Sara as if the answer should be obvious.

Missy: You realise that was two questions, right? But to answer both of them, I figured out that’s the way things work around here. I tried playing nicely and what has it got me so far? So if these are the rules around here, I’m more than fine with showing people exactly how to play by them. What’s your line again, Sunny… Strength through Adversity.

She laughs

Missy: Guess I learnt a lesson after all. As for why April… she was there. Now if you don’t mind…

Sara finally stops chasing her, looking back to the camera before we go to Zack & Linda in the booth.

Linda: Well, that’s...certainly one way to go about it. I’m sorry Missy feels that’s the way things go in Future Shock, but it seems to be her modus operandi right now...

Zack: I know she doesn’t like Sunny at all, but she certainly seems to be following the example set by her. Has what happened with Sunny gotten that deep inside her head? Fans, your guess is as good as mine right now. This night has definitely started off with a bang, and we’re not even half done.

Linda: Absolutely not. We still have two matches left, including an Aspire Ring defense, and WHEN, not IF, we get our hands on her, the orange ninja’s identity is likely to be revealed.

We then cut to a commercial for Future Shock merchandise and Global Wars before we head back to the live show.

The music starts playing with a series of hazy looking technicolor clips that slowly meld into black and white clips of professional wrestling, both women and men of days long past...

Gillie: Welcome to Future Shock’s own “This Week In Wrestling” With Gillie Barnes... Brought to you by Plunder Pack. Plunder Pack comes filled with all sorts of shirts, toys, and memorabilia from your favorite brands. This month’s theme is ‘GALAXY’. You can get shirts, board games, posters and more with the space theme going. You may even find a Burning Star Express sweater in there for the season! Plundering. It's not just for pirates anymore...

The prospect cleared her throat... A rainy scene in a dank looking city, though one suspects Gillie had a hell of a time to do an on location video taping for this usual segment. Unless she’s doing this through the magic of television. Either way, the Prospect is wearing one of those vintage coats that harken back to the days of Casablanca and Johnny Apollo and what have you with a fedora tipped over her eyes.

Gillie: Good evening faithful. With this being the last episode of Future Shock we’ll be getting at the Center in L.A., we’re going to make things a little special. Follow me to a trip down memory lane. A time when the turn of the millennium... Seemed like only yesterday.

Barnes tipped her hat and motioned for the camera to follow her as she walked away from her original post, a street light because pathos and drama you see. She continues walking and steps through a pair of double doors at what looks to be an old auditorium. Inside however...

The Verizon Center in Washington, am empty Verizon Center at that.

Gillie: The year? 2000. The place? Washington, D.C. in the Verizon Center, known at that time... the DCI Center. The day is November 26th, a pay-per-view for Legendary Wrestling. Affectionately called L-Dub by its more hardcore fans, the company started in sterling reputation as a fairly well-to-do company. Of course it happened to also be one of the few places called Legendary Wrestling and had to change its name later thanks to legal battles with another three places called Legendary Wrestling... But that’s a story for another day. The point of time we’re looking for... Is the main event.

With a snap of her fingers, Gillie is replaced by footage of near twenty-thousand screaming fans with signs raised, shirtless, face-painted and so on. This is fandom for its very peak for this particular company it looks like. The fans are on a favor pitch as two men square off, both wearing black ring trunks, black knee pads, black elbow pads. The only real way to tell them apart is that one happens to be bald and the other has a man of dirty blonde hair with a full mustache and beard combination.

Gillie: Baring lack of creativity for ring gear, the rivalry between Maxwell Morrow... Known by his ring name at the time as Max Morose... and “Bad Man” Brent Law had been the cornerstone of L-Dub since the company’s inception. They’d battled in their first match with the company, the battled three times after that, twice over the Television Championship, and once more for the company’s Light Heavyweight Championship. They would tag team oddly enough to be one time champions, and then here and now at the turn of the millennium they would meet at L-Dub’s final pay-per-view of the year ‘Last Confrontation’ to decide who would walk out with the vacated Legendary Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion... In the final minutes of the match however, with momentum on his side, the crowd cheering him, and Max down... Brent Law screwed up.

We cut to an older “Bad Man” Brent Law sitting in a chair and looking slightly put off by the interviewing. He taps his fingers on the seat and lets out a sigh.

Brent: Look, I’ve answered this a million times when people ask me what was I thinking. IT SEEMED LIKE A GOOD IDEA AT THE TIME!

We cut back to the video where Law makes a pose as though he were the statue of justice found in front of a courthouse, scales and all as Max is groggily standing up. Brent gets behind him and forces Max’s arms to cross over his chest as though he was going for an X-Plex... He lifts him about halfway, seemingly making it a stalling X-Plex before he lets his arms go and suddenly hooks his arms around his waist, letting Max fall forward, forcing him to put his hands out. Suddenly he’s in a wheelbarrow hold before Brent swings him upward again, letting go of his waist and catching him in a full nelson now. The crowd at this point still has rapt attention, at least impressed by the flashiness of transitioning from hold to hold to hold on the part of Law, almost playing with the opponent he knows so well. Max is still in Brent’s control as he bends up over while still in the full nelson, forcing his hands between his own legs that Brent quickly switches into a double pumphandle before he pulls Max’s own arms and forces him to do a flip, landing back on his feet and into a waist lock as Brent lifts him back again.

...

After this entire series of complicated transition holds, Max Morose counters the waist lock with a stunner and goes for the pin.

The referee slides into place, counts the one-two-three and the crowd half-cheers, half looks around in awkward stares, unsure of what Brent was trying to accomplish there.

Brent: I just... There’s Max, he’s down and out, I have him right where I want him so I came up with this cool move man. It was brilliant. It was going to be like nothing anyone had ever seen.

Gillie: Brent Law had invented a move he had named ‘The End Of Justice’. It was a... Let me see if I have all my notes here.

Gillie flicked through a few note cards in her pocket, letting those watching that this was longer than everything they’d seen.

Gillie: A stalling straightjacket wheelbarrow full nelson double pumphandle back arch tilt-a-whirl swinging cradle northern lights double leg hook spin out rolling single knee facebreaker.

Pause.

Gillie: Yes. All of that was leading to a single knee facebreaker.

Gillie stared quietly into the camera as if silently saying, ‘your guess is as good as mine’.

Gillie: He was going to roll through in the end and drop him face first on his knee from about six inches. Nothing else. After that match “Bad Man” Brent Law would never attempt the move again and to be perfectly honest, he had a successful career over the next few years, finally beating Max for the championship and holding it for another three times. He went back to using his Lifting Hammerlock DDT and stopped trying to overcomplicate things. When asked if he’d ever do it again, Brent said it best.

Brent: I would sooner use a headlock for twenty minutes.

We cut back to the usual hall of picture frames, Gillie still in her fedora and coat combo as she hangs up the picture.

Gillie: “Bad Man” Brent Law... For your dedication to the craft that proving that sometimes, the easiest way is the most uncomplicated... We salute you! My name is Gillie Barnes... And this has been “This Week In Wrestling”. Until next time, Faithful.

Fade to black.

No Safe Place

The cameras head to the back as we see down an empty hallway. There we also find the manager of Ji-Hu Myeong, Max Sato, as he is looking at his phone before he pushes the door open to go into the men’s restroom.

Zack: There’s a man with a lot on a little mind right there, Max Sato. He might should be getting Ji-Hu prepared rather than playing with his phone. I hope we aren’t planning to follow him.

Linda: Yes, PLEASE, keep our eyes away from Max Sato. Period.

The camera begins to move back, clearly taking Zack’s advice as we see an orange blur dart around the corner into the men’s room as well. The camera rushes back towards the door as suddenly a shrieking Max is heard from inside!

Linda: Um, yes, that would be my reaction to seeing Max in a bathroom as well.

Zack: The ninja just followed Sato into the men’s room, and it sounds like she’s killing him! Wouldn’t that be a shame?!

Linda: To someone out there in the world with no brain. Speaking of which...

Within seconds, Max’s bodyguard, Avantasia storms around the corner and slams into the door to open it. The camera follows along behind her as we see a broken paper towel dispenser with Max leaning & kneeling against the wall holding his head. Avantasia looks around, seeing there’s only one way in or out and looks at the closed stall doors.

Linda: Seems there’s only one place our ninja could have gone, and she certainly can’t escape down a toilet, either. She might just be trapped.

Zack: For our sake, I hope no one else is in those stalls.

Max’s bodyguard nods as she looks down to her beloved and then to the doors. She shoves one open, and finds it empty. She walks to the second, shoving it open ready to attack and finds it empty. One last door remains as she cracks her knuckles.

Linda: Ah. I think I know what’s going to happen next. I’ll just allow this to play out and see how off I am.

Zack: No safe place now, Avantasia’s got the ninja cornered in that last stall. There’s nowhere else she can be! I understand security is being dispatched right now to that restroom!

Avantasia took a step back, and kicked the door as hard as she could, literally denting it as it swung open to reveal...no one. A very confused look on her face as she looked around inside, even peering under the walls between the stalls as security ushered into the restroom.

Linda: Huh...I was expecting a smoke bomb escape, but that’s clearly not the case here.

Zack: Where the hell did she go?

Security poured into the room as the camera happened to pan up to see the orange ninja pulling herself across the top of the stalls before she fell into the second one. Max screamed to get her as security and Avantasia turned to see what he was talking about.

Linda: I guess that’s one way to get out of there. Security didn’t realize she was there until Max said anything. Good thing they haven’t learned to block his voice out yet.

He pointed to the second stall as one of the guards tried to open the door, only to have it close back quickly as the camera could see a pair of feet under the door. They tried to push it open again, only to have it slam back in their face. Avantasia had enough of this as she shoved a few of them aside.

Zack: Look, Linda. You can see her feet under the door, she’s not letting anyone in if she can help it. I’ve never seen anything like this!

Linda: Nor have I. Who knew so much crazy stuff happens when you throw our cameras into the men’s restroom?

Avantasia rammed herself hard into the wall just as the cameras spotted the orange ninja sliding on her belly underneath the walls of each stall till she emerged on the other side. Max pointed and shrieked at her as she bolted through the door back out into the Center. Security turned and started pouring out of the men’s room as the ninja tossed a smoke bomb and bolted around the corner.

Linda: There it is. Our brightly colored ninja is making her escape, and at this point I’m tempted to ask our audio producers in the booth if they can add Benny Hill music over all of this.

Zack: I’m being told we still have security staffed at every door, but the orange ninja has eluded capture yet again. She’s somewhere in the Center, and I think it’s obvious….she doesn’t like Max.

Linda: That...goes without saying, Zack. After all, maybe two people in this building right now like the guy, and even then only half of them tolerate his presence at best.

The security and Avantasia manage to get past the billowing smoke, turning the corner to go after her before they get about halfway down the hall and notice a ventilation grate on the floor. They stop and look up to see the hole in the ceiling it came from.

Zack: She….Linda, she’s in the ventilation of the Center!

Linda: I can see that, Zack, I’m wondering how she even got up that high!

Zack: This is the damnedest Future Shock I’ve ever been part of. The chase continues for the Future Shock ninja, we’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, Gaby’s in the ring and we got some action. That ventilation runs all over the building, she could end up anywhere in the Center….including right on top of us out here.

Linda: The security team is at least being kept busy tonight, that’s for certain. They definitely have their work cut out for them, and that ninja just keeps slipping out of their grasp. Thus the chase continues.

Zack: That it does. Fans, if you missed the news on the FFW website over the weekend, we have some major news going into next year. Let’s take you to the footage.

Future Shock’s Future

The show immediately cuts away from the live broadcast. From there, a camera takes us through the entrance into what looks like the lobby of an arena. FFW framed event posters dot the wall as we pass concession stands aleady set upt, though no one is behind them. The camera then cuts to the backstage area, showing a fully equipped trainer’s room as well as locker rooms. The next cut takes us inside what looks like an arena with stadium seating surrounding a ring with a stage and ramp leading to it. Inside the ring in the center of the arena is the owner of FFW herself, Samantha Star. She turns towards the camera as it approaches the ring.

Samantha: In spring of this year, FFW purchased a convention center here in Boston, Massachusetts. Since that time, the building has been renovated and remodeled, the interior almost completely redesigned. It has state of the art training facilities for injuries and medical assistance. It has brand new locker rooms, including communal areas for talent and staff to eat and relax. And as you can see, it has been converted into a full arena with a seating capacity of 5,114 seats.

The camera pans the arena seating, as well as the lighting set up over the ring before Samantha continues.

Samantha: I was going to introduce you all to this at the next Future Shock show, but I felt this deserved to be seen now. This is the future of Future Shock. Beginning in 2017, every episode of Future Shock will be in this arena. Both the prospects and the alumni will now have a stage, their own entrances, everything they can expect as they strive to get to FFW’s main roster. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the Future Shock Arena. And this will be the home of FFW’s developmental brand for years to come. FFW has already partnered with local promoters to bring other area events here on nights we aren’t using it.

The camera pans back to the ramp, showing the video wall over the entrance currently showing the opening video for the show. Then it returns to Samantha.

Samantha: Future Shock has been the greatest investment in the future of FFW that anyone could have envisioned. This arena is the culmination of the significant investment FFW has made in Future Shock, and will continue to do so. Each of the ladies, Prospects and Alumni alike, deserve this as well as those who are still yet to arrive. I’m proud of how far this brand has come, and I assure you that FFW will continue to invest in its future. When Future Shock returns in 2017, it’s future awaits.

A short highlight package shows the beginning of the show from 2010 fast forwarded through its development till today, including the many talents past and present who have made huge achievements in FFW. The final shot shows the front entrance with the Future Shock logo on the front with the words “The Future Awaits.” As the camera zooms in on that, the video fades back to Zack & Linda.

Zack: Linda, we got a brand new home in 2017 at the Future Shock Arena in Boston. How about that?

Linda: It’s been talked about quite a lot this last year, but the time for talking will soon be done! Future Shock’s home and attendance will be growing come 2017, and I can’t wait to see how this arena looks with a crowded house!

Zack: I’m looking forward to it myself. But apparently the big news doesn’t stop there, folks. Following our next match, I’m being told Adam will have some major news about Future Shock as well. There is certainly a lot going down tonight, and we’ve only just began.

Linda: Definitely a lot of newsworthy buzz tonight, and I think Cody teased whatever Adam had to say on the last Breaking Point. I know I can’t wait to hear it for myself.

We head up to the ring with Gaby for the next match.

Gaby: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

The crowd gives a very warm reception as Mandy Gray makes her way to the ring. She greets more than a few ringside fans before sliding into the ring and even hugging Gaby on the way to her corner.

Gaby: Introducing first, she hails from Charlotte, North Carolina! Please welcome….MANDY GRAY!!!

Zack: The last time we saw Mandy in action on Future Shock was her match during the Future Shock Cup, ultimately won by Cereza. I’m sure she has every intention of ending 2016 in the win column.

Linda: She’s also joined the roster full-time, and a win tonight could help pave her road going into 2017.

The next to come out of the back was Carmen, smiling ear to ear as she bounced towards the ring as though she were already fully energized. She bounds over the top rope and lands on the mat, shaking Mandy’s hand before she heads towards her corner.

Gaby: And her opponent hailing from Venezuela, this is…..CARMEN GUTIERREZ!!

Zack: Last we saw Carmen, she was dominating the better part of the go-kart race on our last show. She’s ready to get back in the ring, and I remember Adam saying she spends more time in the air than on her feet. Look at her, she’s bouncing like a rubber ball waiting to go.

Linda: Carmen unfortunately had to swallow a hard pill after the way she lost, but as you said, she does better in the air than on the ground. And a win tonight could put Carmen in the running for future opportunities.

Referee Kevin Fisk calls for the bell to start his second match of the evening. The two women meet in the center with Mandy looking for a lock up. Carmen barely complies before an armdrag takedown puts Mandy on the mat. Gray immediately gets back to her feet, only to get taken down again with another armdrag. She pops up a third time as Carmen tries it a third time. But Gray blocks it this round, causing Carmen to catch her with a low knee to the ribs to double her over. She put her leg behind Mandy’s head as she was doubled over, spinning through and out of the armdrag position to land on her feet. As Gray raised back up, Carmen used a cartwheel to dart behind her. Gray spun around to find her as the Venezuelan beauty delivered a standing dropkick into her chest that sent her backwards to a seat against the ropes. Carmen bounced up and down in place with a smile on her face as Mandy watched her for a moment and rose to her feet.

Linda: A lot of back and forth starting this fight off, but Carmen’s the one standing at the end of that chain. Just look at the smile on her face after all of that.

Zack: Carmen moves like she’s on a trampoline rather than in the center of the ring, but so far in the early moments, she’s gotten the better of Mandy here.

The two lock up again with Carmen starting to push Mandy back before she whips her into the far corner. Gutierrez charges towards her after Mandy hits the corner, looking apparently for a clothesline. But Mandy ducks underneath it, only for Carmen to keep running and use the middle rope for a springboard as Mandy turns around to clothesline her anyway! Gray hits the mat before Gutierrez leaves her feet for a double leg drop across Mandy’s chest before nipping back to her feet. Gray gets up again, only to get caught by the arm and whipped into the far corner. The baby of the Gray family hits the corner as Carmen looks like she’s about to go for the same move as before. The NC native ducks to avoid it as Carmen ends up in a handstand on the top rope behind her with her feet poised over her head. Gray raises up to look around. And when she turns, Carmen comes down with a headscissors takedown that snaps Mandy to the mat before the Venezuelan nips up to her feet, bouncing again.

Linda: Look at that athleticism on display from Carmen!  A handstand onto the turnbuckles and she manages to put Amanda into a headscissors!

Zack: The baby of the Gray family is having a hard time trying to keep Carmen in her sights, because Gutierrez is like smoke every time she gets within reach of her!

Mandy rubbed the back of her head for a moment, shaking her head as they lock up again. This time, Mandy immediately tries for a go-behind and manages to get her arms around Carmen’s waist. But Carmen begins firing back elbows into her head one after another, breaking her grip and using a back body drop to send her to the canvas. She takes off towards the ropes again, using them for a springboard into a moonsault. But Mandy raises her knees up, causing Carmen to land right across them and fold her up on the canvas. Gray starts to sit up, looking slightly annoyed as she gets to her feet. As her opponent begins to rise, Mandy scoops her up around the waist and plants her with a gutbuster across her knee to put her back down.

Zack: Mandy was definitely having a hard time keeping a handle on Carmen, but I think she’s found her opening here and just introduced her knee to her stomach for good measure.

Linda: Mandy takes the lead in this dance of a fight after that counter and gutbuster. I wonder if Jodie’s watching with excitement over that.

As Carmen tries to sit up, Mandy leaves her feet this time for a double knee drop into her abdomen to put her back down. Gray rolls her onto her stomach, grabbing each of her hands and wrapping her arms around her neck for a straitjacket as she sat on her lower back. Carmen’s head was pulled up as her own arms wrapped around her neck, while Mandy pulled back on her hands and sitting on her lower back. Fisk dropped down to check on Carmen as Mandy tried to pull her arms tighter. Meanwhile, eight men and women in black and blue choir robes began to emerge from the back and line up 4 by 4 in the aisle.

Linda: Mandy’s putting Carmen into the straitjacket hold, and...and...what’s with the choir, Zack?

Zack: You’re asking me like I know. There’s a church a few blocks down, maybe they have the wrong address for the choir meeting tonight.

Mandy continued to pull on Carmen’s hands, causing the brunette’s face to darken as she was being choked out. Fisk asked her if she wanted to submit, but didn’t get the right answer to stop the match. Gray leaned back, really increasing the pressure around her neck while the choir began to warm up in the aisle by going through a vocal exercises. Some of the fans near them didn’t seem to appreciate it either. Mandy finally spotted them herself, asking the referee what was going on. Fisk glanced behind him with a curious look, telling her he had no idea. Meanwhile, Carmen had managed to get her foot across the bottom rope by happenstance behind her. Fisk called for the break as Mandy got to her feet, still watching the choir for a moment as Carmen tried to get her breath back.

Linda: This choir has already distracted the wrestlers from the match at hand, at least Mandy is. Seriously, who gave them authority to come out here? Who’s in charge of the gorilla position?!

Zack: I’m not sure what their purpose is here. But Mandy needs to keep an eye on the opposition as Carmen is starting to get her wind back.

When Mandy turns back towards the ring, Carmen charges forward with a spear that drives her back into the corner. She begins driving shoulder thrusts into Mandy’s body one after another. After four of them, Carmen raises up and fires her across to the far side. Gray hits hard as the Venezuelan beauty follows her in with a Stinger splash, grabbing her head on impact and turning into a bulldog out of the corner. She quickly makes the cover as a man stands up in the crowd and begins walking back and forth carrying a sign. It reads “The Savior Is Coming” As he walks back and forth in front of fans trying to see the match, security begins to intercept him as he thrusts his sign up and down. Carmen makes a cover on Mandy in the ring as Fisk drops to count.

Zack: Big time bulldog out of the corner there from Carmen, and the seemingly airborne beauty may have it right here.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Gray kicks out at two as Carmen gets back to her feet, pulling her up by the arm before peppering her with kicks to the body rapid fire.

Linda: Only a two count, and...oh, I see what’s going on here...this Savior nonsense.

Security drags the man with his sign out of the ringside area as he shouts the Savior is Coming over and over before he’s thrown out of the building finally. In the ring after the series of kicks, Mandy doubles over in pain before Carmen takes off for the ropes, rebounding quickly into a handspring into an axe kick to the back of Mandy’s head. It drives her face down onto the mat before Carmen hits the ropes again, this time connecting with a senton back splash. Security begins to head for the choir in the aisle next as they begin to sing.

Choir: She’s got the whole world….in her hands! She’s got the whole world….in her hands!

Zack: Beautiful rolling senton from Carmen right there, and she’s picking up the pace again. That’s exactly what Mandy doesn’t want, and….security got one guy out of here. Looks like they are heading towards the congregation in the aisle.

Linda: Good, I don’t know who let them down in the first place! They could at least wait until the match is over for this nonsense...

Choir: She’s got the little bitty baby in her hands…..she’s got the little bitty baby in her hands!

Security finally made it to the singers as Carmen began to head for the top rope. She glanced behind her to see them in the aisle as security tried to ask them to leave...only causing them to sing louder now. When Gutierrez looked back to the ring, Mandy had gotten back to her feet and charged the corner. She ran up the turnbuckles, snatching Carmen around the waist and delivering a belly to belly suplex from the top rope. She quickly hooked the leg for the cover as now the referee was watching the scene in the aisle for a moment before he realized what was happening, and dropped to make the count.

Zack: Wow, Mandy ran the corner like a cat and planted Carmen! That could be all right there!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Carmen managed to get her shoulder up in time before the three, causing Mandy to begin driving knee drops into her abdomen.

Linda: Only a two count for Mandy, which is good effort but it could have been the end for Carmen if the referee wasn’t distracted by the STUPID CHOIR!

Choir: She’s got a-you and me, brother, in her hands. She’s got a-you---

They didn’t get to finish the verse before more security arrived from the back, and began to forcibly remove the choir out of the Center through the entrance doors. Mandy pulled Carmen up from behind, firing headbutts into the back of her head before snapping off a trifecta of German suplexes. Gutierrez lay flat on the canvas before Gray headed for the corner herself, scaling it quickly before connecting with a frog splash right back into the ribs she’d been working on most of the match. As the choir was being removed, they simply sang louder till security finally slammed the door shut after removing them.

Zack: Frog splash from Mandy, and she’s showing Carmen she can get airborne too! We apologize for the interruption, fans. I never had a choir on my format for tonight.

Linda: Thankfully I didn’t notice any orange trying to make their way out with the choir, so our ninja didn’t make her getaway. With that all taken care of we can FINALLY get back to the match at hand!

Mandy got back to her feet, crouching in the corner for a moment before a smile formed across her face as apparently she had an idea. She glanced back to the crowd, trying to rally them and refocus them on the match. It was working as she waved Carmen to get up before Mandy thrust a peace sign into the air, shouting “IKU ZO!”

Zack: Mandy likes to borrow moves from some of her favorite wrestlers, and I have a feeling we’re about to see shades of Andi Takata coming up!

Linda: Hey, if you’re going to pay homage to someone, go with the most successful types. It’s a matter of suspense if she can pull it off, however.

Carmen began to shakily get to her feet as Mandy charged out of the corner, grabbing her head on the pass. But Gutierrez shoved her off and into the ropes. Mandy stopped herself before she hit them, turning around into a superkick that bounced her into the ropes followed by a second that did it again and a third that faceplanted her on the canvas. Carmen stumbled into the corner, holding her ribs in pain.

Zack: Good Lord! Mandy went for the Crusher, but ate not one not two but three superkicks right on the button!

Linda: Mandy might be out of it after all those successive kicks! But Carmen doesn’t seem ready to end it yet!

The Venezuelan beauty headed up the corner slowly, getting her balance quickly before she came of the top rope with her high angle flying elbow drop that brought the crowd to its feet!

Zack: Cielo de Fuego!! SKY FIRE!!

Carmen hooked the outside leg for the cover as the referee dropped to count!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Fisk called for the bell as Carmen hopped to her feet, still holding her abdomen with one hand as the referee raised her other arm in victory. It brought a smile to her face.

Linda: There we have it! Carmen wins this match, and Mandy made a nice effort, but aiming for the Space Crusher didn’t pay off. Not helped was of course that choir that came out for whatever reason.

Gaby: Here is your winner via pinfall…………….CARMEN GUTIERREZ!!

She got back to her feet, giving the referee a hug and climbing the turnbuckle to wave to the crowd with her free arm. She hopped back down, helping Mandy to her feet as well.

Zack: Carmen picks up an impressive win here tonight, despite a lot of distractions that neither she nor Mandy or anyone else here asked for. I’m sure this makes that go-kart race loss last week not be quite so disappointing now.

Linda: It most certainly has to, Zack, but at least Carmen’s a bit nicer than most winners as she helps Mandy to her feet.

Zack: I understand Sara’s standing by with our newest prospect in the back. Let’s send it back to her!

Caitlyn Becomes A Clippers Fan

The next time we travel backstage, we find Sara yet again. But this time, she’s not chasing anyone but standing next to a striking blonde.

Sara: On our last show, we saw a video package introducing us all to the newest Prospect signed to Future Shock, Caitlyn Storm. I suppose the best way to start this is by saying welcome aboard, Caitlyn!

Caitlyn smiles brightly and wraps her arms around Sara giving her a tight hug. The reporter returned the hug before her guest spoke.

Caitlyn: Thank you Sara, I’m so happy to be here. It’s exciting, it isn’t it?

Sara: I can tell it must be. For those who don’t know, you are already employed by another promotion on their main roster right now. So the biggest question is why did you elect to come FFW’s developmental system instead of following suit by joining the main roster?

Caitlyn: The other promotion I’m in doesn’t have a developmental system, which is the reason I’m on the main roster there. I watched quite a few of the FFW and Future Shock shows before I signed and the talent here is so awesome. There’s no way I could compete with the ladies on the main roster, I’m still learning and although the girls on Future Shock are so much more advanced than me they’re still learning too. I honestly can’t think of a better place to learn the skills I need to be the best that I can be.

Sara: Is there anyone who has particularly caught your attention? Either as someone you would like to emulate in terms of success or just to try yourself out against some day?

Caitlyn looks thoughtful as twirls a her hair around her finger.

Caitlyn: I can’t remember everyone’s names at the moment and everyone seems so talented. There is one girl that I’ve seen on the Prospect roster that I’d love to test myself against some day. I think she’s quite new to wrestling too but she’s definitely stood out in the shows I’ve seen, I think her name is Sienna. As for emulating the alumni roster are awesome, I’d love to be half as good as those ladies one day.

Sara: Well I’m sure that you will do just--

Before she finishes, the fans in the Center see Jake Chandler walking into the shot. Sara glances over at him as he approaches her and Caitlyn with something over his shoulder.

Sara: Can I help you, Jake?

Jake: I’m not sure, but if I think of something, I’ll let you know. I mainly wanted to welcome the newest girl to the roster here, and I got her a ...roster warming gift? I mean it’s not housewarming… Think that fits?

Sara: Uh….sure. Roster warming…

Jake pulls a LA Clippers jersey #32 off his shoulder, showing it to the hometown crowd who clearly likes the NBA team.

Jake: I went to a Clippers game last week, and one of the things I got that night was a Blake Griffin jersey. I thought I’d get one for Caitlyn too, but I didn’t know her size so I just kinda guessed. I don’t even know if you like basketball, but I still wanted to do something.

He told both Sara and Caitlyn this as he offers the blonde the black Clippers jersey.

Caitlyn throws her arms around Jake almost knocking him off balance and then steps back accepting the jersey with a smile.

Caitlyn: “Aww thank you so much. I like basketball too and this is perfect, a little big but that’s the best way to wear a jersey. I love it, thank you Jake.

Jake: You’re welcome, I’m glad you like it. And welcome to Future Shock!

Caitlyn beams a smile at Jake

Caitlyn: Thank you Jake and remember to keep smiling.

From there, we cut back to Zack & Linda in the booth.

Zack: Linda, I’m looking forward to seeing what Caitlyn can do in the ring here. Nice to see she seems to have made a new friend in the process.

Linda: Jake does tend to have that affect on people, he manages to make friends quickly after all. But as for Caitlyn I’m looking forward to seeing what she’s capable of in Future Shock.

Zack: Fans, don’t budge a muscle. When we come back, we’ll hear from Adam. I understand he has some major news to share. We’ll be right back.

The show heads to a commercial break from there.

The Next Evolution

The show returns from the break as we see the Director of Future Shock heading towards the ring to quite a positive response from the fans. As he steps through the ropes, he is handed a microphone by Gaby before he has the ring to himself.

Adam: So I’m going to guess you guys already heard about the new Future Shock Arena in Boston? It’s something I’ve been looking forward to since I was told that was what it was going to be back in the spring. Before I get started here, I just want to thank FFW management for making it happen. Part of the reason I love this job is that I know Samantha and Cody are as interested in the development of Future Shock as I am. I appreciate it. But as awesome as that is, that’s NOT what I came to tell you guys about tonight.

Linda: In that case you have to wonder what the big news is about. I haven’t heard too much through the grapevine...

Adam: Earlier tonight at the conclusion of the match between April Evans and Angelina Fantastica, we saw Missy take out some frustrations seemingly brought on by her problems with Sunny. It goes without saying that I don’t condone striking referees, much less post match attacks. But after talking with April and Missy, it’s obvious to me that we need to resolve a few things. At Whiplash, I already booked April Evans to meet Sunny one on one. Well after tonight, we’re going to make that a triple threat with Missy involved! It’ll be Missy versus April versus Sunny at Whiplash, and the winner of that match will get an Aspire Ring shot!

Zack: One on one becomes a triple threat, and I don’t think we have to worry about anyone getting double teamed. None of those three women like each other at all.

Linda: Not in the slightest, Zack, and with all three women able to get at one another’s throats we’ll be able to get some resolve among them.

Adam: But that’s also NOT what I had planned to talk about tonight. This coming Saturday night at Global Wars, the Future Shock Championship will be defended for the first time since the relaunch on a FFW Pay Per View when Mallory Bennett meets Cereza. I fully expect those two girls to light it up in front of Houston. But at Whiplash, the winner of that match will meet the mandatory challenger for the Future Shock Championship. You know who I’m talking about…”Typhoon” Bianca Salvador!

The boos only come out at the mention of that name.

Adam: But it won’t just be any old match for the title at Whiplash. We’re going to take that title...hang it over the ring about 15 feet or so….and they’re going to need some help to reach it. Because when Bianca challenges for the Future Shock title at Whiplash, it will be in a LADDER MATCH!!

That brings quite a pop from the crowd.

Zack: Wow, someone’s going to have to go through all kinds of hell at Whiplash to ascend the ladder and call themselves Future Shock Champion. I don’t envy Mallory or Cereza in that match.

Linda: Nor do I, and it’s bad enough that Mallory and Bianca have already been to war with one another. But imagine Cereza, who’s not all that experienced in hardcore fighting, had to go through that?

Adam: But that’s NOT exactly what all I came out here to talk about tonight.

Zack: Whether it is or not, he’s certainly covering a lot of ground here.

Linda: As excited as this is all sounding, I’m ready to yell “GET ON WITH IT!” But I have more patience than that of course.

Adam: Let’s get to what I planned days ago to bring up with you guys tonight. Ever since the relaunch back in May, I’ve been wanting to do something. But in this business, timing is everything. I had to wait till everything was just right, all the stars were aligned. And I feel now more than ever that that time has finally arrived. We have so many great talents on this roster, Prospect and Alumni alike. We have a Future Shock Championship. We have the Aspire Ring. But there’s been one little missing piece of the puzzle for me. So tonight, I am very proud to announce coming in 2017 along with so many other things…..the Future Shock Tag Team Championship!

Another louder pop from the crowd follows this.

Linda: That...I did not see coming. But I’m excited to hear it’s a thing, how about you Zack?

Zack: A lot of promotions have trouble just maintaining one tag title division….FFW’s about to have three.

Adam: With the formation of the Future Shock tag titles, you’re going to see teams you’ve never seen before. I’m throwing open the doors. It can be a team of Prospects, Alumni, or a mix of both! Any two women past or present from this show can join forces for this brand new division! Those tag titles will, of course, be Future Shock exclusive. You’ll only see them here on this show, and our Pay Per Views. I like to consider this the next evolution of this brand.

Linda: This brand has definitely overgone several changes since the reboot, and I have to agree. FFW has a large pool of tag team talents, and I feel this might just be a good way to persuade new tag teams to join the roster.

Adam: I’m going to be announcing the teams who will be entering the division over the coming weeks as we head into 2017. If you are a Future Shock fan and don’t follow me on social media, I’d change that because trust me, you’re going to want to see what kind of talent we have in store to launch this division. You’re going to see women already here on the roster of this show...and some who will be coming JUST FOR THIS reason….to be able to call themselves the Future Shock Tag Team Champions!

Zack: That right there covers a lot of ground. I mean Future Shock has existed in one form or another since late 2010, Linda. We could see people come back we haven’t seen in years looking for the tag titles he just announced.

Linda: We’ve certainly had some big names in April Evans and Freya Kane come to Future Shock after some big hiatuses, so I wouldn’t put it past anyone else to come here. Future Shock is open to everyone after all.

A member of the production team hops up onto the apron, waving Adam over to tell him something. After he hears it, he lays down the microphone and follows the assistant to the back very quickly. The cameras follow after them.

Linda: I would hope that’s the end of the announcements, because it looks like Adam has some urgent news. Maybe we’ve finally caught our ninja?

The cameras continue to follow after Adam as he jogs through the backstage area before we hear loud and angry screaming. As he rounds the corner, there he finds Max Sato handcuffed to the door handle leading into the men’s room as his bodyguard is trying to break him free...with no success.

Zack: Look at that! Max has been handcuffed to the men’s room door...and the main event is coming up next, Linda! The ninja struck again while Adam was talking!

Linda: That she did. It...couldn’t have happened to a nicer person.

Zack: Imagine that, we may get a fair match with Ji-Hu involved tonight, thanks to this orange ninja because...I don’t think they are getting those cuffs off anytime soon.

Linda: I hadn’t even taken that into consideration, actually. How about that, a night where Ji-Hu has to rely on her own skills and not Max’s shenanigans! I’m actually excited for this!

Adam waves over a couple security guards as the camera moves in to hear what he tells them.

Adam: You guys go find some keys to get those cuffs off, okay?......In about 20 minutes.

He gives them a wink and hides a smile before he heads back towards his office.

Linda: Oh, Adam, you scamp. At least he’s kind enough to let Max out of those cuffs, just not nice enough to let it be ASAP.

Zack: We ARE going to have a main event without nonsense from that guy! This has been a wild night so far, but maybe it’s about to return to normalcy.

Adam heads back towards his office, sliding the key into the door to unlock it...only to find it was already unlocked. He gave a curious look before he opened the door. As soon as he entered, his office chair spun around to face him….with the orange ninja sitting in it.

Linda: What the heck is she doing in his chair? That’s...a bit unorthodox considering the running around she’s been doing.

She was a short girl, clearly of Asian descent with a facemask covering part of her face until she pulled it down to reveal her whole face to him. She propped up her feet on his desk as the cameras watched.

Zack: I...think I recognize her now that I see her face.

Orange Ninja: My name is 4 Loko Ayano...we should talk.

As she said this, Adam’s office door closed.

Linda: ...And slowly but surely...the Ayano family tree makes it’s way to FFW.

Zack: The orange ninja is 4 Loko Ayano?! I’d love to be a fly on the wall in that office right now. Fans, the main event is next! We’ll be right back.

On that, Future Shock fades to commercial.

Global Wars Summit

We cut backstage, where Sara Wilkins is standing by. On either side of her is Cereza and the Future Shock champion Mallory Bennett, both of them eyeing the interviewer as she speaks.

Sara: Ladies, in just a matter of days the two of you will be fighting one another for the Future Shock Championship. Mallory, not only will this be your first title defense since defeating Isis at Rsistance, but it will also be the first time in quite a while you will have the honor of defending the title outside the Future Shock shows and on an FFW PPV. Do you feel any pressure on you in the slightest?

The champion, wearing a ‘BENNETT’ tee, white lettering on black hustles up the Future Shock championship on her shoulder. She eyes Cereza up and down for a second before leaning towards the microphone.

Mallory: No.

She suddenly smiles, a legitimate, honest-to-God smile and keeps going on.

Mallory: Because Sara I can tell you without a single bit of hesitation that I know... I know deep down that there’s almost no one who loves Future Shock and this brand and will fight for this brand harder than the woman in front of me. I don’t feel any pressure at all for the simple fact that although I have no intention of seeing my reign come to an end so quickly... I don’t feel like we’ll have to defend the honor of the title because the match we’re gonna have is going to be an exercise in the word. In fact I daresay... We’ll probably be going for match of the night so everyone can talk about it in front of the water cooler on Monday morning.

Sara: I see. And Cereza, what about you? Do you feel any sort of pressure, as this will be your second Future Shock title opportunity this year?

The former stripper folds her arms at Mallory, looking her up and down, and lets out a chuckle, her lips forming a smile.

Cereza: Sara, I may feel a tinge of pressure on me, but I know just as well as Mallory does we’ve both put our hearts into Future Shock since the relaunch. We’ve fought off a lot of bad eggs, but we know that the other is going to be respectful in this fight. No monsters, no arrogance, no egos, just the two hardest working ladies Future Shock has ever seen.

Sara: True, you two have both worked at getting quite a lot in Future Shock, but…

Cereza: Well it goes beyond the relaunch when you think about it. Mallory’s come quite a way from the season 19 rematch with Anna, and I’ve worked on getting better at this since FFW rehired me! There is a LOT we have in common, and then some.

She raises a finger to Mallory.

Cereza: And allow me to just say, Mal, I am VERY thankful you aren’t anything like your mother.

Mal stared blankly at Cereza for a few moments, the Future Shock champion looking as though she didn’t at all understand what the woman in front of her was referencing before finally making an ‘O’ shape with her mouth and nodding.

Mal: Ah, right, right. You met her through C and... Look, I appreciate that but I promise my mom is a really nice person once you get to know her... Once you... Really... REALLY... RRRREEEAALLLLYYYY get to know her. Like, after a few good months and you put up with her referencing my dad every other few sentences... You know what, I forget where I was going with that. Look, meet my dad sometime. He’s cool. Has a lot of platoon stories, will show you how he makes his own jerky. Real country boy. Ehem.

Sara looks at them both, as though she’s slightly lost at where or how this conversation has gone.

Mal: I wish I could say the same to you in some way but I’ve never met your parents…

Cereza: Oh trust me, you’re better off not having met them. They would make mother Bennett look like Mother Theresa in comparison. Oh, the stories I could share…

Clearing her throat, Sara gets both women’s attention back to her and licks her lips before asking the next question.

Sara: So I think we can expect a battle on much friendlier terms than anything either of you have experienced lately. That’s great. So I don’t think either of you will be upset if you lose at Global Wars?

Cereza: Well, no. At least I know if I were to lose it would be to a woman with much respect to her name and not someone who will jab toothpicks into my throat, or someone that topped the division for almost a year. Mallory has gone through a lot of battles this year, mostly against Bianca, and while this may be a change of pace for us both I don’t think we’re going to play it safe either.

Sara: Mal, do you agree with that?

Mal: Quite so. Now, likewise Cereza isn’t going to try to run me over with a car or shatter a bottle on my head, call in her tag partner for some help, try to tear me literally limb from limb because she can. I’m not going to lie. I will be disappointed that I lose the Future Shock championship but after all that’s happened... Sara I won’t be disappointed with who is holding it. This title has seen a lot of violence and emotion and drama over it and that does make for good TV... But we’re going to see something different for Global Wars I think. Blood, sweat, and tears put into one of the most athletic competitions you have ever seen. It’s gonna get intense and afterward, there’s gonna be handshakes, hand-raising, and milkshakes after.

Mallory paused and looked around before glancing back at the former stripper.

Mal: Y-you okay with milkshakes? I mean if you’re not that’s completely cool. We can get beer. Is beer okay?

The stripper laughs, patting Mal’s shoulder.

Cereza: Milkshakes is fine. I’ve never really been big on beer, although a good bottle of champagne will work as well.

Sara: This is...oddly a polite segment.

The interviewer looks at both participants, almost confused.

Sara: Not really much in the way of insults or anything, is there?

Sighing, Cereza rolls her eyes at Sara.

Cereza: Well if you insist…

She turns attention back at Mallory.

Cereza: Ms. Bennett, I will make you fight hard to retain that title. I will not be stopped so easily, and the odds of you leaving with the Future Shock championship are 50/50, and I shall work hard to make it work in my favor. Good luck to you, you...skunk haired woman, you.

You can tell she tried very hard to get that insult out. The former mechanic in response has to turn away from the camera to try and keep from laughing before she turns back and scrunches up her face as though she’s about to lay the verbal smackdown on Cereza...

...Or hold it in before she finds a bathroom. Take your pick.

Mal: Miss Ithavoll, I will promise you this that I will make you struggle every single step of the way to get the Future Shock title seated on my shoulder. There will be knee strikes, there will be stomps, there will be everything you can muster. All the fisticuffs imaginable and then some. Also... I do not like your choice of nail polish today. You usually wear red and that’s more fitting than this... Green color you have going on today. It is an absolute scandal.

Almost saddened, Cereza looks down at her nails, studying them.

Cereza: Well thank you for your concern, I was out of my usual red and forgot to get more before the show started. But I will work you harder than any pole I’ve worked at the clubs, Mallory, and I will promise you...nobody beats the Classic...but there’s a good chance that can change come Global Wars!

With her sternest look, Cereza keeps her eyes on Mallory as she holds her hand out to shake.

Cereza: Good luck.

Mallory didn’t even hesitate for a second, the Future Shock champion shaking her hand.

Mal: May the best woman win.

Sara couldn’t help but smile slightly as both women shook hands before we cut to commercial.

The cameras quickly cut back to see security standing around as Max screams to get free, while Avantasia is kicking the door without much success. Ji-Hu heads around the corner, sliding the Aspire Ring onto her finger as she watches them and heads towards the camera before we head back to the ring with Gaby.

Linda: Here’s hoping we have a quiet and fair main event. Max is handcuffed, Avantasia is helping him, and Ji-Hu is all by her lonesome. Ji-Hu’s second Aspire Ring defense begins now!

Gaby: The following contest is a triple threat main event for the Aspire Ring!

The first one to head towards the ring is Sophia Pike, who gets absolutely no appreciation from the crowd. She doesn’t seem to care at all as she climbs up onto the apron, and steps foot in the ring. She looks to the camera and points at her finger, letting everyone know where the Ring is going tonight.

Gaby: Introducing first, from Seattle, Washington….’THE EMERALD CITY SIREN’ SOPHIA PIKE!!!

Zack: Sophia Pike looks as ready as ever. This is as much a rematch for her as it is for Harley, because Ji-Hu and Max screwed her over in her Ji-Hu’s first defense, which you officiated.

Linda: Yes they did, and I still have a bruise from that post-fight beatdown. And it was what lead to our tag match against them at Resistance.

The next woman out gets a very loud response from the crowd as Harley Shannon heads towards the ring. She greets a few fans along the aisle before she climbs inside, rallying the crowd for a moment as she goes to her corner.

Gaby: And her opponent, she hails from Hanover, New Hampshire! Please welcome…..HARLEY SHANNON!!!

Linda: The fans have already made up their mind on who they’ll be getting behind tonight, and I can at least say I approve and endorse their choice. Harley may apologize for what happened at Resistance, but I know she did her best, and she’ll do just as well tonight.

Zack: The former holder of the Aspire Ring, Harley has her game face on here tonight. This will be her first time in the ring with Sophia, but both of them know the next woman about to come out.

Ji-Hu emerges from the back, holding her fist high as she shows the ring to the camera before heading to the ring. Both Sophia and Harley give her long stares as she steps into the ring, glancing behind her to see that indeed Max & Avantasia were not with her.

Gaby: And finally...making her second defense of the Aspire Ring, this is…...JI-HU MYEONG!!

Zack: I think it’s starting to sink in, Linda. I think it’s starting to become real to Ji-Hu that she isn’t going to have her entourage ringside tonight, thanks to 4 Loko Ayano who I am told is still in Adam’s office.

Linda: I don’t know what she was expecting, both of them were still trying to get Max free before. And it’s not like Ji should be worried, she has some experience in wrestling before Future Shock. She should be fine on her own.

Referee Kevin Fisk asks for the ring as Ji-Hu seems reluctant to give it to him. Another glance towards the entrance shows no one is coming still as the referee asks for the ring again. She starts to slide it off her finger, but tells him to check the other two first. Fisk rolls his eyes as he goes to both Sophia and Harley, finding both women unarmed before he goes back and again asks for the Ring.

Linda: She’s stalling. Ji-Hu is stalling, as if expecting Max or Avantasia to suddenly make their way down here and come to her aid. I’m...I’m starting to think Ji is actually unsure of her own abilities in the ring, Zack.

Fisk finally gets the ring, and places it in his pocket before calling for the bell. All three women stand in different corners, looking back and forth at one another until Sophia and Ji-Hu set their eyes on Harley. The two women exchange glances at one another, almost silently making a deal as they begin to circle in around Harley from both directions.

Zack: I didn’t see any lips moving, but Harley may be feeling like a mouse between two feral cats right now. I certainly didn’t think these two would work together on anything.

Linda: I didn’t either, especially seeing as Sophia was equally screwed by Ji in a defense! But now Harley is stuck between a rock and a hard place, with both women wanting her out in these opening moments!

As the two approached on both sides, Harley immediately went into action and started trading blows with Ji-Hu...and was soon joined by Sophia doing the same, to the delight of the crowd. Sophia and Harley hammered the Aspire Ring bearer with shots before they whipped her across for the ride. As soon as she rebounded, they scooped her up and fell backwards into a flapjack. Myeong landed face first on the canvas as they got back to their feet. Harley gave a surprised look towards Sophia as Pike pulled Ji-Hu up to her feet. She whipped her into Harley, who scooped her up into an inverted atomic drop that staggered her backwards till Sophia pulled her head back by the hair. She said some harsh things to the Ring bearer before dropping her with an reverse DDT to the canvas. Pike got back to her feet, holding out her fist to Harley for a fist bump...which the crowd loved!

Linda: That...that happened. Sophia turned on Ji-Hu almost immediately. Even Harley looks surprised. But the fans are eating it up! Maybe we’re seeing a change of heart in Sophia?

Zack: We’ve seen a definite change of heart out of Missy earlier tonight, maybe we were due for one more? Harley doesn’t seem to know what to think, I don’t blame her.

Shannon reluctantly bumped fists with her as Sophia jerked Ji-Hu back to her feet. She fired her into the corner, following in with a corner clothesline that dropped her to a seat in the corner. Pike hurled some racial insults at her before she began to stomp her body repeatedly in the corner. The brunette took off for the far side, and came back with a baseball slide between Ji-Hu’s legs. As the referee asked her if that was intentional, she shook her head as she got back to her feet with a grin to the crowd when she rose to stand.

Linda: Oh I’m sure that was intentional. I also heard some things Sophia said get picked up by the microphone. Here’s hoping we don’t get in trouble for that...

Zack: If this keeps up, I can guarantee we’ll have a new Aspire Ring bearer tonight. Ji-Hu can’t take them both on by herself.

Myeong tries to pull herself back to her feet in the corner before Harley takes over, catching her with a roaring elbow smash to the jaw that sends her reeling. She quickly crawls onto the middle turnbuckle, raising her fist before driving it ten times into Ji-Hu’s head. She quickly hops back down to the mat, and pitches her with a monkey flip out of the corner. Kumiho lands on the canvas as Sophia measures and delivers an elbow right to her heart immediately after she lands. Shannon takes off for the far side as Sophia steps in front of her long enough to pop her into into the air, and let her fall with a splash onto Kumiho. As the orange haired beauty gets to her feet, Sophia tells her it’s my turn now.

Zack: I...never thought I’d see this. They’re not just working together, they are working like they were long lost tag partners, Linda. Sophia’s looking to take back over now, Ji-Hu is getting clobbered!

Linda: It’s surprisingly incredible teamwork, Zack, I’d say if this Aspire Ring match doesn’t work out for either of them they could make it work out in the new tag team division.

Pike pulls the Ring wearer back to her feet, shoving her back into the corner before she began to connect with knife edge chops across her chest rapid fire, causing the slapping sound to echo around the ring. She fired her out of the corner towards Harley. The former Ring wearer caught her with an European uppercut coming in before she hoisted her up into position for what looked to be a brainbuster. Kumiho hung upside down for a couple seconds….until a flash kick into Harley’s face sent them both down. Both women crashed into the mat as Sophia looked down at Harley, shaking her head and laughing at her before she dropped down to cover Ji-Hu.

Linda: So much for that. Sophia duped both Ji and Harley, so there’s no doubt that Pike is now in it for herself.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Ji-Hu got her shoulder up before the three as Sophia pulled her back to her feet, throwing her over one shoulder before dropping her with a shoulder breaker to the canvas. She began to drive knees into that same shoulder and arm as well.

Zack: Now we’re getting back to Sophia’s style. She loves working arms, her favorite move is a Fujiwara armbar. I just don’t see how a submission is going to be helpful when you have two opponents as to one.

Linda: Mostly chance and good timing. A submission in triple threats isn’t impossible, just very hard to pull off when the third party still has gas in the tank.

Pike got back to her feet, pulling the Ring bearer by the arm towards the corner before she slid out to the floor. She grabbed Ji-Hu’s hand and then wrapped her arm around the ring post at a high rate of speed. Myeong shouted in pain, trying to pull her arm back but Pike held onto it. She pulled it back to do it again….before an orange blur ran down the apron with a seated senton onto Sophia, driving her into the floor as Harley unloaded with right hands to her head that brought the crowd to its feet!

Linda: Harley comes back to the fight and runs down Sophia with that seated senton! The crowd is erupting again for her to beat Sophia down and reclaim the Aspire Ring!

Zack: That’s the thing about a double cross, you better make sure you can end the match before too much longer! Look at Harley go!

Shannon got back to her feet on the floor, jerking Pike back up before sending her straight into the barricade. Pike doubled over it, leaving her feet hanging on one side while her upper body was over the other. Harley climbed back onto the apron, and charged off again. This time, she left her feet with a frog splash across Sophia’s back that caused her to fall into the first row of ringside. Shannon leaned over the barricade, pulling Sophia back to her feet..and then launching her back to ringside with a belly to belly overhead suplex!

Zack: Our ringside fans damn near got a lot more of Sophia Pike than they thought they would tonight. Remember it’s a triple threat, there’s no countouts or disqualifications and Harley is dominant!

Linda: Yes, silly little things such as disqualifications have no room in triple threats, just as we like it! Harley is holding onto the pace of this fight, launching Sophia back over the barricade with that belly to belly!

Sophia tried to crawl away from her towards the other side of the ring. As she reached the barricade, it seemed like Harley was setting up for something as she began to slowly pace around from behind her. When she rounded the corner as Sophia was starting to get up, a hand reached out from the crowd and pulled Shannon back by the hair as Pike got back to her feet. Harley turned into the fan, finding it was Sophia’s boyfriend in the crowd as she started firing right hands at his head to get him to let go!

Zack: That’s Hunter Peterson, Sophia’s boyfriend! He’s trying to give his girlfriend a break, but Harley’s giving him a little attention...probably not the way he’d prefer!

Linda: Likely not, but when you grab a woman by her hair you should expect some kind of unkind reaction in return. In any case it still works as a distraction that lets Sophia get back to the ring and deal with Ji-Hu.

Sophia looked over her shoulder with a smile as Hunter kept Harley occupied...at least until a baseball slide caught her in the chest and sent Sophia into the barricade instead. Ji-Hu was back to her feet in the ring, and looking none too pleased. Pike started to rise to her feet as Ji-Hu took off for the far side. When she rebounded, she sailed through the ropes into a suicide dive that drove Sophia back into the barricade a second time! The Aspire Ring holder shook her arm a bit, grabbing Sophia’s legs and catapulting her across the ringside steps.

Linda: This match had already been taken to the outside, but now all three participants are out here! And as if we needed to worry about Max, Hunter is still dealing with Harley.

Almost as soon as Linda said those words, Harley caught Hunter with a jawbreaker across the barricade to send him into the aisle near the fans. Shannon tried to collect herself as Ji-Hu rolled back into the ring, climbed to the top rope and came off with a double stomp across Sophia’s back as she was hunched over the steps. Pike grunted loudly on impact before Ji-Hu rolled her back under the bottom rope into the ring. The Seattle native clutched her ribs in pain, coughing heavily as Myeong climbed onto the apron….only to see Harley start to stand up…before she charged down the apron with a cannonball senton to wipe the orange haired beauty out. Ji-Hu rolled back into the ring, surveying the damage for a moment.

Zack: The Aspire Ring is holding court, and very very much back into this match! And it looks Sophia’s gonna catch the worst of Ji-Hu’s fury!

Linda: She did just spot Harley getting back up to her feet, it’s possible her attention and plans are changing even as we speak! Sophia’s down and her ribs are aching, no point in chasing after someone as they’re down.

Ji-Hu pulled Sophia back up, planting her head between her legs before she hoisted her up for what looked like a powerbomb but instead dropped her across her knee! Pike’s back the Ring bearer’s knee with velocity before she collapsed to the canvas. Myeong grabbed her legs, pulling her away from the ropes, planting her feet behind her knees before she grabbed Sophia’s arms and fell backwards into a seated surfboard submission. Pike was bent over backwards as Ji-Hu wrapped both hands around her to bend her backwards even more sharply, allowing Sophia’s arms to try to grab anything as she was in agony.

Linda: Ji-Hu’s putting extra work on Sophia as she bends her back, her arms also being pulled after being worked on earlier. That armbar isn’t in play yet but with all that’s been done to Sophia Ji could make her tap out with this surfboard.

Zack: Look at Sophia’s back, it’s not designed to bend that way, folks! And Ji-Hu is doing serious damage with Sophia’s anatomy at her disposal.

Ji-Hu finally let go, causing Sophia to flop face down on the mat before Myeong quickly transitioned into a STF submission. Fisk dropped down beside Sophia as Pike’s face was awash in agony. Her hand began to waver over the mat as Ji-Hu told her to quit.

Zack: Sophia’s thinking about it, she is in agony! And now with the STF locked in the center of the ring, she’s got nowhere to go!

Linda: And with Ji egging her on to do so, we may actually see Sophia tap and Ji-Hu retain the Aspire Ring!

Sophia shouted in pain as her hand touched the mat once. But when it raised to do it again, Harley rolled into the ring and caught her hand to stop her. Pike tried to get her hand free to do it, but Harley wouldn’t let it go as she started kicking Ji-Hu repeatedly till she broke the submission. Pike collapsed face down on the mat as Harley got back to her feet with Ji-Hu not far behind her as the two went nose to nose!

Linda: Look at that! Sophia was ready to tap before Harley caught her to keep this fight going! Now the only two women who haven’t had a one-on-one chat are at one another’s faces.

Zack: I’m glad we aren’t picking up what’s coming out of their mouths. You can feel it, these two do not and will never ever like one another!

The smack talk finally ended when they started trading right hands at one another’s head, much to the delight of the crowd. Harley and Ji-Hu fired shots at one another with reckless abandon before Shannon got the better of it. She backed her up a couple steps, and fired her into the corner with velocity. Myeong hit the corner hard with Harley charging in with a flying forearm to the jaw. The Aspire Ring bearer stumbled out of the corner as Harley hopped up onto the second turnbuckle from the inside. When Kumiho turned around, Harley dove off the middle turnbuckle with a blockbuster that bounced Ji-Hu off the canvas!

Zack: Harley with one hell of a blockbuster on Ji-Hu, and I think we’re not far from her getting that Ring back! Ji-Hu’s having a “Come to Jesus” meeting, courtesy of Harley Shannon!

Linda: I think we’ve skipped any politeness such a meeting entails and went right to the threats, Zack! Harley’s got Ji-Hu in her hands and she’s about to take her down herself for that ring!

Harley pounded the mat with both fists, letting out a yell as Ji-Hu started to stagger to try to get up. As soon as she did, Harley caught her with a flash kick to her jaw, followed by a roundhouse to put her on her knees before a back leg thrust kick to the back of her head sent her down the rest of the way.

Zack: She calls that THE ERUPTION!! And you can see why!

Linda: Harley exploded onto Ji-Hu with a variety of kicks, and it could pay off! Here’s the cover!

She dove on top of her, hooking the outside leg for the cover as the referee slid into position to make the count.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-WAIT!!!!

But as the official’s hand came down for three, Hunter jerked him out of the ring by his feet. The fans were only too angry at this point as the referee read Hunter the riot act at ringside. Harley looked around to see what was going on as Sophia slyly slid her hand into the referee’s pocket as he argued with Hunter in front of her.

Linda: Hunter seriously just hopped over the barricade to pull the ref out of the ring! At least Max comes to ringside with Ji, someone get security to get him out of here!

Harley saw the referee arguing with Hunter on the floor before she got to her feet, and took off. A wrecking ball dropkick through the ropes sent Peterson to the floor. The referee rolled back into the ring as Harley turned around into a straight right cross from Sophia wearing the Aspire Ring on her finger. Shannon fell through the ropes to the floor as Sophia cursed before she pulled Ji-Hu up, only to use her boyfriend’s cross arm DDT! Pike dove on top of Ji-Hu.

Linda: Sophia has the Aspire Ring on her! How’d she get that?!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Zack: That right cross with the Ring on...would have stopped an elephant! Ji-Hu got kicked into next week, Harley sent to the floor, and Sophia’s wearing the evidence!

Fisk called for the bell to a chorus of boos from the crowd as Sophia rolled to sit up against the corner. He went to get the Ring out of his pocket, and found it missing as Sophia weakly raised her hand with a tired grin on her face.

Linda: At least the ref has no need to reward Sophia, she already has the ring on her. What great sportsmanship, that woman...

Gaby: The winner of this match…..and the NEW bearer of the Aspire Ring…………’THE EMERALD CITY SIREN’ SOPHIA PIKE!!

Zack: Yeah, Kevin! Take a good look, the ring’s on her finger! It took her boyfriend and a weapon to get the job done, but Sophia Pike is gonna start the new year with her ticket out of Future Shock resting on her finger!

Linda: She better start racking up those victories, then. Five wins in a row will get her to the FFW roster, but one false move will keep her here a lot longer than she’d like.

Hunter dragged his girlfriend out of the ring, helping hold her up as he gave her a rather long open-mouthed kiss that no one wanted to see. He raised her hand in victory before she kissed the Ring on her finger.

Linda: Thank you for that public display of affection. Unfortunately THAT’S the scene we’re going to end Future Shock 2016 on.

Zack: That’s gonna do it for us here in Los Angeles! Join us on Pay Per View Saturday for Global Wars! Live it up, Sophia! It may not last long!

As the couple shared another kiss, Future Shock faded off the air.
