Live from the Oakland Arena in Oakland, California
April 29, 2017

The FFW logo flashes across the screen followed by the familiar lightning bolt of the Future Shock logo before we open on a video package featuring the rise of Cereza Ithavoll. “The Money and the Power” performed by Kid Ink plays in the background.  It shows her time from arrival when she was considered a laughing stock, and one of the most disliked women in the brand. It then shows the ultimate transformation of her into a woman who began to earn the admiration and respect of the fans, including both of her previous attempts to capture the Future Shock Championship against Isis Morales and Mallory Bennett. The final image is of her looking at her reflection in the Future Shock Championship before it cuts to a similar story of Bianca Salvador. It shows the blonde from her days in Season 19 ruining the championship ladder match through her trials against Mallory Bennett, Anna Giovanna, Andi Takata, and ultimately capturing the title at Whiplash through some rather underhanded means. It closes on her raising the title aloft as well, but laughing at the same time.

We then cut to a live shot outside the Oakland Arena as a sedan pulls into employee parking area. A mousy looking blonde woman immediately jumps out of the driver’s seat, and runs around to the back to open the door for a very striking blonde woman, who brushes past her in a very expensive looking dress. With the music still playing, we cut inside the arena as the blonde heads inside as well. The usual pyro erupts from the Destiny set, while the Oakland crowd makes plenty of noise as they see themselves on television.

Zack: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Oakland, California! And more importantly, the Oakland Arena for Future Shock Destiny! Zack and Lyn here, and you just saw none other than Elizabeth Lannister arriving to the show tonight. “The Lioness” is going to be part of a live Q&A later tonight, I’m not sure how that works. But we’ll find out.

The show cuts down to the booth, with both of the broadcasters standing by briefly looking out at the crowd before the crowd.

Zack: Lyn, it’s a pleasure to be here with you once again. I can’t think of a better name for a show than tonight with Cereza getting the biggest stage she’s ever had to try to capture the Future Shock title against the reigning “Typhoon” champion, Bianca Salvador!

Lyn: This will be the third of her attempts for it and you have to believe that Cereza is hungrier than ever for her journey to Future Shock champion to finally come to its conclusion but as we’ve seen Bianca is prepared to do absolutely anything when her pride and joy is on the line.

Zack: Gillie Barnes is halfway home to getting herself a shot at the Future Shock title. Tonight, she makes her second defense of that ring against what I think is her toughest challenge to date in Harley Shannon. No malice or anger in this match, it’s pure respect in what could be a show stealer tonight.

Lyn: The.. Well, the only show with no degree of malice or anger in the match at that. Instead we have what are to be two students of the game going head to head in what I’ll even say is going straight into levels of cult classic.

Zack: For the first time in show history, we got a two part showdown on tap for tonight. Andi Takata will meet the returning Casey Atherton, who seems to have found religion! They will collide in the ring too, but Andi also challenged her to a water joust as well! You’ll see both of those tonight as part of Destiny.

Lyn: Yes. Casey has... Found religion. I was actually accosted by some of her flock earlier today and they wouldn’t leave me alone until I made a donation. I told them I only had plastic on me... They took out one of those card reader things that attach to your cell phone. ...Please beat her Andi.

Zack: Ever since Future Shock launched the new tag division, teams have come out of the woodwork. Some came from other places just to get a shot. We’ll see 3 tag team matches tonight, including two which have more than a little bad blood involved. Tell’em about it, Lyn!

Lyn: Tonight No Holding Back will be taking on Pandora and Vanity as the Church of Oleska hope to sink a foot into the door of the Future Shock Tag titles while Jem and Angela are hoping to lay about the same claim.

Zack: We’ll also see the return of the Leavenworth Sisters to Future Shock in the ring when they meet Next Generation after torching their clothes not too long ago. We haven’t seen Ignis and Lightning in a ring in a while, but if I’m Caitlyn and Mandy, they better be prepared for anything. Something tells me ring rust won’t be an issue for the sisters.

Lyn: Of course we’d be remiss not to also talk about the rematch of the Tornado Tag champions in the Ascension facing off against the mother-daughter duo of Rose and Linda. There hopefully will be a concrete victor here tonight but I’ll bet you Valentina and Isis have the Gardners in their headspace and intend to wipe them out.

Zack: O.E. Ayano and Freya are on a collision course after weeks of smack talk, not to mention the baby of the Reed family makes her debut when Bianca Reed meets Missy. I don’t expect anything but malice and fury in those two matches.

Lyn: The Alumni Killer looks to add one more name to her list as Freya seems to have had all she can stand of her and we’ll finally get that settled. Speaking of those who have had all they can stand, Missy has about as much love for Bianca as she for her and we may see some roaches come to play there.

Zack: All that, and Lyn, I was informed before we came out here about an unadvertised bonus. Someone competing on tonight’s show is going to be the latest inductee into the 2017 FFW Hall of Fame, joining Starla McCloud and the BSX! We’ll find out who tonight!

Lyn: Really? ...Hmm. I wonder... Well, now that I think about it I may have an idea but I’ll see if I’m right as the show goes.

Zack: Who knows what else will take place? But the journey starts now. Let’s send it up to the ring with the “Wildcat” for our opening contest!

The show heads up to the ring with a bright and smiling Gaby standing in the center dressed in one of her usual short dresses.

Gaby: The opening contest of Future Shock Destiny is a tag team match scheduled for one fall!

Zack: We’re kicking things off with some tag team action, one of three tag matches you’ll see tonight. Since the formation of this division, it’s clear that Adam has given these teams plenty of spotlight.

Lyn: He wants these teams to be an absolute success here, that’s how much he cares about this product.

A quiet, almost eerie melody of a guitar starts up, before “Make Me Wanna Die” by the Pretty Reckless truly kicks in. Taylor Momsen’s deep vocals give way to the appearance of several men and women. They are dressed in all white, waltzing about in rhythm to the hard rock. As they stopped, they begin to motion towards the entrance. Smoke gathers in the center. First, Pandora walks out onto the stage. She is followed closely by Vanity, who is garbed in extravagant religious apparel. Chains of silver and bright jewelry cover her, while Pandora wears a piece of armor across her chest that presents her as the Warrior of Oleska that Vanity loves dearly.

The cultists removes the jewelry and armor. They make a path for Vanity and Pandora to walk down the ramp. Vanity takes the charge with Pandora following. Pandora looks directly at the ring while Vanity plays maliciously with the fans. She stops at the end of the ramp, while Pandora continues on. Pandora leaps onto the ring apron. Vanity uses the stairs. While Pandora stands on the apron, Vanity crawls onto the top turnbuckle, posing dramatically, the Oleskan Cross mae across her chest. Pandora makes the same motion more subtly. They both enter the ring.

Gaby: Introducing from the South Side of Nowhere, Pandora and Vanity Fulbright, they are the CHURCH OF OLESKA!

There, Vanity motions for Pandora to draw close. Vanity kneels to the ground, stretching her arms outward before making the Oleskan Cross once more. Pandora glances at the entire arena’s capacity, standing on guard. Vanity gets up, smiling wildly. She lays onto Pandora’s shoulder, speaking to her as she does. The Church of Oleska stands ready for war.

Zack: The Church of Oleska definitely march to the beat of their own drum. Pandora and Vanity have proven to be quite effective in what little we’ve seen of them.

Lyn: Their team tactics proved to be a standout among the other duos in Future Shock and I am curious to see how they throw said tactics at the team of Angela and Jem who have... Enough experience with many different tandems.

“Deuce” by Kiss begins to play, Jem runs out of the back and onto the stage area, sprinting across to the far side and bouncing on the balls of her feet as she encourages the crowd to get a little louder. Charging across to the other side of the stage, she once more cheerleaders before heading back to the middle of the stage. Meeting her partner there the two girls double high five and turn it into a hug that breaks as Jem charges down to the ring, sliding underneath the bottom rope. Angela follows her down the ramp, slapping hands with fans. Jem pops up to her feet and makes a tour of the corners, climbing to the middle turnbuckle and throwing her hands into the air to get a cheer from the crowd before moving onto the next one. As Angela reaches the ring she walks hops up onto the apron and raises one clenched fist in the air before she enters the ring and walks to the NHB corner to await the start of the match.

Gaby: Approaching the ring at a combined weight of 306 lbs, the team of Jem Michaels and Angela Hinchcliffe...NO HOLDING BACK!!!

Zack: This will be the first time we’ve seen NHB back in Future Shock since they left their season years ago. And the Church is gonna be giving up a LOT of experience to these two, who definitely have the crowd behind them here in Oakland.

Lyn: Let’s see if they can try and work a similar strategy against Angela and Jem or if this is going to be a homecoming for NHB that Oakland never forgets.

Referee Melinda Davis calls for the bell after checking both teams for anything illegal. Vanity and Angela step out to their respective corners, while Jem tries to get the crowd to make some noise. It works very well for the redhead as Pandora lifts her hand up for a test of strength. When Jem looks up to it though, she catches her with a kick to the gut followed by another. Pandora begins to fire right hands into the side of her head, doubling her over before a series of elbows to the back of her head and neck drive her to her knees on the mat. Pandora clasps her hands together, clubbing blows into her back to pound her down closer to the mat. As Jem tries to rise, a knee lift into the face stands her back up before Pandora snatches her around the waist and drills her with a belly to belly suplex. She rises back to her feet, pulling Jem up from behind with her. As she looks to execute a German suplex, Jem begins to fire back elbows into the side of her head rapidly. Five of them connect before Pandora stumbles back, causing Jem to spin on her heel into a roundhouse kick that catches her on the side of the head. Pandora falls backwards to lean against the ropes before Jem shoots her back out to the mat with a monkey flip.

Zack: What Jem comes up short with in power, she certainly makes up for in speed. Her strikes are sudden, and I think Pandora’s been rattled a bit already.

Lyn: Roundhouse kick and there goes a Monkey Flip, sending the All-Giver up and onto her back. There’s too much religion in this company.

Jem pulls her to her feet, and shoves her back into NHB’s corner. She tags in Angela, who takes off for the far side and comes back with an avalanche onto Pandora in the corner. She sweeps her feet out from under her into a catapult position before Jem hits the ropes next. And as Pandora is catapulted forward, Jem mows her down with a flying clothesline and then rolls out of the ring. Angela scoops her up, only to toss her with a fallaway slam to the mat. She tags Jem back into the ring before scooping Pandora up high over head for a gorilla press slam. But as she lowers her, Jem leaves her feet with an elbow drop across the back of her head that drives her down to the mat. Angela then heads back to the corner as Jem applies a rear chinlock after sitting Pandora up near NHB’s corner.

Zack: As a retired tag team specialist yourself, I’m sure you can appreciate some of the quick tags and isolation we’re seeing out of NHB, Lyn.

Lyn: Trying to keep the resident Coma Commander out of the match here, and work over Pandora so NHB can leave the team with a distinct disadvantage. It can always be appreciated... Just like that rear chinlock.

Pandora didn’t stay down for very long. She began to get back up, causing Jem to transition into a side headlock. But even that didn’t last long as Pandora began driving elbows into her stomach, causing her ultimately to let go. She rocked Jem with a European uppercut that sent her reeling until Pandora scooped her up and drove her down with a Samoan drop. She mounted her soon after, and began to deliver vicious elbow strikes until she got back to her feet. A quick tag to Vanity, who darts across the ring as Jem gets up to deliver a curb stomp that puts her right back down. Fulbright makes an immediate cover as Pandora leaves the ring.

Zack: Vanity with a vicious curb stomp, and Jem may be out of it right now!

ONE!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Jem kicks out after the two, prompting Vanity to get back to her feet. Fulbright doesn’t seem bothered at all. As Jem tries to get up, Vanity catches her with a kick to the ribs that almost lifts her off the mat before Fulbright bounces off the near side and catches her with an axe kick to the back of her head.

Lyn: Coma-coma-coma-coma-coma-Coma Commander-er. With a nasty axe kick and to the tune of Karma Chameleon. Thank you, I’ll be here all night.

Angela starts pounding the turnbuckle in her corner, hoping to rally the crowd and her partner. Vanity pulls Jem back to her feet, and shoves her into the Church’s corner. Pandora grabs Jem’s arms behind her to keep her in place as Vanity grins widely. Fulbright takes off for the far side ropes, and catches Jem with a boot across the jaw while the referee counts Pandora down for holding her arms. Pandora finally lets go at the four count as Jem hangs from the corner, clearly very dazed. Vanity climbs up to the middle rope, raising her elbow to measure for a shot. But Jem surprises her with an inverted atomic drop before she ever gets the chance. Fulbright stands wobbly with her knees together after the shot, giving Jem the chance to plant her with a facebuster. Jem throws an arm across her chest to make a cover before Davis drops to count.

Zack: Big time facebuster from Jem, that might do it!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Vanity’s arm came up in time before the three though. The redhead looks around for her corner as Angela has her arm outstretched for the tag.

Lyn: CLOSE... But no cigar and Vanity keeps the Church collection plate going and Angela wants in this in a big way.

Zack: Angela is sitting on ready in that corner, the powerhouse of NHB! And the Church would do very well to keep her in that corner as long as possible.

Jem began to crawl towards Angela, who was leaning over the top rope to reach her. The redhead was slowly, so was Vanity for the matter. As Jem approached, a brunette came down from the back in similar attire to the members of the Church. She hopped up onto the apron as Davis went to intercept her just as Jem made the tag.

Zack: Wait a minute, is that the newest member of the Church? I’ve seen her on social media, and I think she goes by Jynx!

Lyn: ...A dangerous numbers game that NHB is about to find themselves in if this woman is as off-kilter and dangerous as she seems to be.

Jynx hopped back down off the apron finally just as Angela was coming in. But the referee never saw the tag, and went to stop her. Meanwhile, Pandora came back in and pulled Jem away from the corner as she and Vanity put the boots to her. Pandora hoisted her one shoulder into a powerslam position until Vanity came off the middle turnbuckle with a bulldog that drove Jem head first onto the mat. Fulbright immediately made the cover as the referee fell into position to count, while Jynx looked ecstatic at ringside.

Lyn: Jynx already living up to her name as Jem is still in this, much to the crowd’s chagrin and the Church’s... Well, amusement.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

The count got broken up when Angela stormed back into the ring, delivering a baseball slide that sent Vanity rolling into the ropes. Pandora came back in again, darting towards Angela with a clothesline but got it countered with a big spinebuster! Angela headed back out as Jem started looking for her corner again, and immediately began to crawl in that direction.

Zack: Angela broke up the fall, and Pandora got planted in the process! Now Jem needs to make the tag!

Jynx tried to alert the other members of the Church to what was going on as Jem lunged into the corner and made the tag. Angela came in legally this time as Vanity was beginning to get up. When she did, Angela bolted towards her with a big lariat that nearly flipped her inside out. Pandora was beginning to get up next, at least until Angela cinched her up and sent her flying with a t-bone suplex that bounced her upside down into the ropes and down onto the mat.

Lyn: Exploder suplex powerslam... Also known as a T-Bone suplex because... Y’know.

Angela pulled Vanity back to her feet, and whipped her across for the ride. She caught her on the rebound with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker that brought the crowd to its feet. Vanity was immediately covered as Davis dove into position to count.

Zack: What a backbreaker! Angela’s taking on the Church by herself!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

The three never touched as Jynx pulled her off by the foot. Angela glared back at her as the referee signaled a two count.

Lyn: So close it wasn’t even funny but she can’t fight these numbers off for much longer!

Jem surprised Jynx with a missile dropkick from the apron to knock her down before the redhead got back into the ring. As Vanity stumbled to her feet, Jem caught her with a jawbreaker that sent her backwards into Angela, who planted her with a full nelson suplex into a bridge! Davis slid into position for the count.

Zack: BROKEN & DEFEATED!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

The referee called for the bell to a pop from the crowd, prompting Angela to help her partner to her feet as she rose as well.

Lyn: The numbers game doesn’t put them down anyway, anyhow!

Gaby: Here are your winners…..NO HOLDING BACK!!!

Davis raised both of their hands together as the girls gave each other a hug with a smile on each of their faces. Jynx helped her friends to the floor as they all stared daggers into the ring up at Angela and Jem.

Zack: A hard-fought win, to say the least, for NHB! But it’s clear to me that they haven’t seen the last of the Church...including what I believe is its newest member, Jynx!

Lyn: They won’t take this lying down I can assure you but for now the crowd is going to celebrate a victorious Jem and Angela!

Angela and Jem caught their gaze, raising their hands again to a very pleased crowd before we head to a commercial for the Best of Future Shock Blu-ray set.

The Path Not Taken

The next thing we see is what appears to be a national park somewhere. The camera peers down over a very rocky mountain several feet down to a trail that has been made. Visitors are seen walking the trail, taking in the scenery as a feminine voice begins to speak.

Voice: I’ve always been a believer that if you take the same path as everyone else, you’ll end up in the same place as everyone else.

The camera seems to be mounted on someone’s shoulder, a shaky camera for obvious reasons. The person wearing it turns to show they have apparently climbed up the side of the mountain and can see a natural skyline in the distance.

Voice: If you follow everyone else, you never see things like this. I didn’t follow the path to Future Shock most everyone else did. I didn’t grow up in a wrestling family. I didn’t have any siblings involved in this business, and I’m not dating anyone involved in it either. Like I said, my path is different.

Another turn back down to see the people following a trail leader along the beaten path down towards the bottom of the mountain.

Voice: I like to find my own way. My own direction.

The camera spins back up as the sound of something seems to catch her attention. In the distance, the camera on her shoulder spots a lone mountain lion as it walks along, seemingly sniffing the air till it makes eye contact with the woman talking. Her voice lowers as a result.

Voice: When you take your own path, that’s where you find out things about yourself that you never knew. That’s the case with me.

The lioness watches a moment, and turns to head in another direction.

Voice: My path to Future Shock is a story all its own, and I look forward to telling you about it.

The lioness disappears in the distance as the woman continues her ascent, looking around at the landscape surrounding her.

Voice: My name is Mila Martin...but you can call me Midnight. That’s another story for another day. My journey to Future Shock has been an interesting one, and while I have reached my destination, arriving here is just the start of a whole new journey. One that I’m going to take my own path to complete...just as I do with everything else.

She twists the camera around on her shoulder to show her face. Her short dark brown hair can be seen, despite the baseball cap on her head and the smile on her face, reaches her eyes indicating it to be a very genuine one.

Mila: I’ll see you soon, Future Shock.

She reaches up to it, and suddenly the camera cuts out and we head back to the live broadcast.

A quick recap of the first meeting between Ascension and the Gardners is shown from a recent edition of Future Shock, including the announcement about the rematch tonight. From there, we head back to Gaby in the ring.

Gaby: The following tag team rematch is scheduled for one fall!

Zack: As you just saw, this match didn’t quite get a chance to finish, thanks to a countout. But tonight, we might be able to resolve that here at Future Shock Destiny.

Lyn: Let’s hope so, though I’m also hoping we see the Gardners take it here tonight. Especially Sna--Rose.

The guitar strum of “Call Me” by Blondie plays over the PA system, the stage covered up in a fog while two female figures head out of the back. With Linda standing on the left and Rose on the right, the two girls point upwards, shouting to the crowd before the head down the ramp.

Gaby: Making their way to the ring, from Manhattan, New York, they are “The Waterborn Phoenix” Linda Ragnal and “Poison” Rose Gardner...THE GARDNERS!

As the mother and daughter duo reach the ring, Linda slides under the ropes while Rose hops onto the ring apron, and then vaults over the top rope. Rolling to her feet, Linda climbs onto the turnbuckles, raising two of her fingers up to the crowd before she throws her skull cap out to them. Rose, meanwhile, makes her way to the ropes, mounting on the second rope and then pointing at herself with her thumbs, and then at her mother, working the crowd up with war cries. The two Gardners meet up in the middle of the ring, discussing who goes first before the match begins.

Zack: Linda and especially Rose have been very well received by the Future Shock fans, to say the least. They definitely have their work cut out for them though against two powerful women like the reigning Tornado Tag Champions.

Lyn: I’m especially thankful to Linda because I now have this job. Thank you from one vet to another! I don’t necessarily like the Ascension much but these two women are as powerful as it’ll get.

The opening chords of “Destroy & Conquer” by Future World Music begin to rattle through the arena, the curtains start to move as Valentina Lozano & Isis Morales slowly steps out onto the ramp. They are unfazed by the boos from the crowd as Valentina bends her right knee and angles her left leg, her right arm shooting up into the air with a cocky smirk with Isis standing behind her, raising her fist in the air with a cocky smirk, standing in a unified domineering pose while basking in the negative heat of the crowd. Valentina gets back to her feet and then begins to walk side by side with Isis down the aisle.

Gaby: Making their way to the ring…at a total combined weight of three hundred and sixty-five pounds....”The Latin Goddess” Valentina Lozano and “The Titaness” Isis Morales... They are...

ASCENSION!!!!!!!!!

At the ringside area, Valentina and Isis walk around the ring once before entering the ring, with Valentina making her way to a waiting human stairway next to the ring: one guy on all fours next to the ring and one guy lying prone in front of him. Causally stepping on the men, Valentina walks up and walks across the edge of the ring. She then reclines against the ropes and callously looks down at the men, giving them a smirk while they get to their knees and properly grace her boots with kisses before dismissing themselves to the back. Valentina then glares towards the referee in the ring and orders the referee to hold the ropes for her, which the referee reluctantly complies with doing. She wipes her feet on the apron and enters the ring. Meanwhile, Isis enters the ring by stepping over the top rope with ease. The ladies then go to opposite ring posts in which they climb up and pose to the crowd with complete confidence, taking in the atmosphere while the crowd reaction continues and the cameras flashing.

After the ladies taunt the crowd (and/or opponents), Valentina then goes to one of the corners to lean against.  After giving Valentina a few words and patting her on the shoulder, Isis smirks and stretches a little as they await for the bell to ring.

Zack: Valentina and Isis are looking to prove a point against the Gardners tonight. Fans, for those who didn’t know, wins in Future Shock don’t equate to tag title shots on the main roster. The only titles available to Future Shock Prospects are the Aspire Ring and the Future Shock title.

Lyn: How... Beneficial for the Ascension.

Referee Malcolm Parks calls for the bell to start the match as Rose steps out to the apron while Valentina does the same in her corner. Isis looks down in derision at Linda before she moves forward. The blonde moves forward rather tentatively, raising her hand for a test of strength to the amusement of Isis. And when the Titaness raises her hand to take it, Linda surprises her with a jumping uppercut to the chin. Two more follow that before she manages to stumble the redhead to the delight of the crowd. Ragnal takes off for the ropes behind Isis, rebounding into a chop block to the back of her leg. It doesn’t take her down, but stumbles her forward a couple steps until Linda starts targeting furious kicks to the back of her knee. Morales drops to that knee, now about eye level with Linda who darts behind her and takes her down with a running bulldog to the mat.

Zack: Linda’s showing some veteran instincts there, and got Isis down early with a little bit of subterfuge! I like it, and best of all, it’s working for her!

Lyn: You stay along enough in this industry you’ll feel you can always find an answer, and excellent running bulldog.

With Isis down, Linda tried to keep her there as she began to unload with elbows to the back of her head each time she tried to push up. Morales used one big hand and shoved her backwards, nearly pushing Linda into the ropes before she rebounded off them and caught Isis with a front kick to the side of her head. It rocked the Titaness on her knees before Linda hit the ropes again, this time rebounding with a neckbreaker to put her back on the mat. Ragnal immediately went for a cover, but the referee didn’t even get into position to count before Isis shoved her off the cover.  Linda wasted no time as she got back up, and quickly moved back. She grabbed the Titaness into a front facelock before firing a series of Muay Thai knees to her face. Six of them connected before she finally let go. Morales slumped forward on the mat, causing Linda to deliver a leg drop to the back of her head before she could get up. A quick roll over from there, Linda went for another cover. Parks slid into position this time, but she was thrown off before he could get a one count started.

Lyn: Muay Thai clinch followed into a number of knees and Morales is getting rattled here!

Zack: That she is, but seemingly not enough yet to keep her down very long. That rather pronounced kick out was mute testament of that one.

Linda shook her head as she got back to her feet, and went for the ropes to pick up speed again. But Valentina caught her with a knee to the back as she did, stopping her in her tracks and giving Isis a chance to get up. When she did, Linda stumbled forward into a massive clothesline that took her down with ease. Isis shook her head a moment before she reached down, jerking Linda back up and hoisting her overhead into a gorilla press….which she then hurled her over the top rope into the barricade on the outside! Linda’s back hit hard against the retaining wall as the referee immediately began to admonish Isis. Valentina hopped down to the floor as Linda tried to get up, and drove her back into the wall again with a shoulder thrust. Rose darted into the ring, and headed across to the side where her mom was until the referee went to intercept her. With Parks trying to stop her, Valentina scooped Linda up onto her shoulders and used a running powerslam to crash Linda into the steps before she fell to the floor again. As Parks finally got Rose back to the corner, Lozano threw Linda back into the ring and a waiting Isis.

Lyn: Lozano now taking the reins here with a running powerslam into the damn steps after Isis flung her into the barricade. The referee quickly losing control of this match as Rose inadvertently keeping the ref’s attention.

Zack: Rose is so inexperienced in the ring, that her emotions get the better of her in situations like this one watching not just her partner...but her mother...being attacked when she can do something about it.

Morales scooped her up into a fireman’s carry, holding her sideways before dropping her across her knee. She didn’t let her fall, instead standing back up and doing it again and then once more before a fallaway slam sent her rolling into Ascension’s corner. Isis trailed after her, pulling her to her feet and shoving her into the corner and pushing her head back. Morales raised her right hand overhead, and brought it down with a thunderous clap to Linda’s heart. The Phoenix’s face froze as she shouted in pain before Isis pushed her head back, and brought another clap down to her chest, which made a sickening smack.

Zack: I can’t even imagine what that must feel like right there! My former broadcast partner must feel like her chest is being caved in by those devastating chops from the Titaness!

Lyn: Morales loves it. She loves inflicting pain and she’d tell you herself as she did it. You can hear the echo throughout Oakland.

Isis tagged in Valentina next, who came in and made sure to keep Linda in their corner. To make it worse, she began to fire chops into her chest before she dragged her out. A quick hoist overhead saw Lozano drop her with a Death Valley Driver before she crawled across to make the cover. Parks dropped to count it.

Lyn: Death Valley Driver and there’s the count!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Linda kicked out just after the two, which seemed to amuse Valentina as she got back to her feet and started to grind the sole of her boot against Linda’s face.

Zack: Valentina Lozano never met a rule she didn’t like to stretch and break, like right now as she’s trying to choke the life out of Linda Ragnal!

The Tornado Tag Champion pressed her boot then to her throat to choke her while she held herself up against the top rope. Parks got to four before she broke. Valentina dragged Linda away from the ropes towards the center, and dropped to sit behind her to apply a body scissors. Rose began pounding the corner, trying to motivate the crowd to chant for Linda while Valentina squeezed Linda’s ribs sitting behind her. Linda’s face showed the pain she was feeling, only exacerbated as Lozano would push up on her hands to try to get a tighter grip. Parks dropped down to see if she wanted to submit, but Ragnal refused.

Lyn: There is not a means of quit in the Waterborn Phoenix and it looks to be irritating Lozano with every passing second!

Zack: Linda is the very definition of veteran, and with that comes an insane amount of resiliency after all these years. She’s the most experienced woman in this match.

Linda tried to pull her ankles apart without much success, thanks to Valentina’s vise-like grip. When that didn’t work, Ragnal began to fire back elbows with reckless abandon into the side of Valentina’s head. It took four of them before she managed to get herself free of Lozano. The blonde rose to her feet slowly as Valentina tried to do the same. Linda grabbed her from behind, and dropped her with a reverse DDT. She clutched her back in pain as she got to her feet, taking off towards the ropes to use them for an Asai moonsault! She hooked the outside leg quickly as Parks dropped to count.

Zack: Linda pulling everything she has out of her bag of tricks, and the moonsault may be enough!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!!!!

Valentina kicked out before the three, which sent Linda heading for her corner slowly. Rose hopped down off the apron, and pulled up the ring apron to retrieve a white box with a big red N on it. She then hopped back onto the apron and held her hand out for her mom.

Lyn: ...............Why...... Why is there a Nintendo box at ringside?

Linda moved closer to Rose as Valentina began to get her wits about her. Lozano sat up, and went to grab Ragnal by the foot before she could make it to her corner. Linda was pulled to her feet, hopping on one foot before Lozano tried to spin her around...only for Linda to catch her with an enzuigiri to the back of the head as a counter. Lozano dropped on impact as Linda turned back towards her daughter. Rose bounced up and down on the bottom rope with her arm outstretched, and the crowd loudly chanting her name. And when Linda lunged forward to make the tag, the crowd popped!

Zack: Linda made the tag, and this Oakland crowd is 100% behind Rose, who….is going to the floor?

Rose hopped down off the apron, and pulled a red hat with a M on the front of it from the box. It even had a chin strap, which she used to attach it to her head before she hopped up onto the top turnbuckle. As Lozano started to roll onto her back, Rose came off the top rope with a butt stomp into Lozano’s body. She shouted “1 UP” as she got to her feet.

Lyn: I believe Super Rosio has come to bear and she just got an extra life at the Latin Goddess’s expense.

Rose took off towards the ropes, rebounding quickly into a springboard leg drop onto Valentina when she tried to sit up. Gardner hammered right hands into her head before she nipped back up to her feet. Lozano started to rise as well before Rose left her feet and planted her with a facebuster! She immediately hooked the outside leg for the cover as Parks dropped to count!

Zack: Big time facebuster, and Rose straight outta the Mushroom Kingdom is looking for the win right here!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Lozano kicked out again, causing Rose to get back to her feet. She darted towards the corner, and climbed up to the top rope with the crowd in full support of her. She launched herself off with a top rope elbow drop! But Lozano moved out of the way, and Rose caught nothing but canvas to a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Zack: Rose went to the high rent district, and paid for it right there! Lozano avoided the contact, and Rose got all of the canvas she wanted and then some!

Valentina started to sit up, trying to get her wits about her as she looked over to Rose with anger. Rising to her feet, she executed a double stomp to Rose’s body as she walked over her. The Latin Goddess delivered her own elbow drop into the gamer before she mounted her with closed fists to the face, which the crowd didn’t enjoy at all. She picked Rose up finally, hoisting her over her shoulders before taking off a few feet to nail a Samoan drop. She quickly rolled her over, hooking both legs for the cover as Parks dropped to count.

Zack: Lozano is bringing straight up raw power right now, and Rose is in big trouble!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Lyn: She hates being embarrassed, Zack. If anything it seems to fire Lozano up and make her fight that much harder.

Rose got her shoulder up in time before the three. Valentina pummeled her with more right hands to her head before she got back to her feet. The gamer girl started to get up, only to eat a facebreaker from Valentina that sent her back into the ropes. As Rose leaned against them dazed, Valentina set up for one of her favorite moves. When Rose pushed off the ropes, Lozano charged towards her with the bicycle kick! But Rose ducked it, and Valentina landed straddling the top rope instead!

Lyn: That is NOT where the Latin Goddess was wanting to land after her attempted Priceless Kiss!

Lozano was frozen on the top rope in very clear pain as Rose rolled out to the floor. She crawled towards her box as Valentina was trying to remove herself from the top rope. Rose pulled something out and put it on, not visible yet to the camera. She rolled back inside, and when Valentina finally got off the ropes, she staggered forward as Rose launched towards her with a massive Superman punch that decked her! Rose thrust her fist into the air, showing she was wearing the Power Glove. And the crowd erupted!

Rose: NOW YOU’RE PLAYING WITH POWER, BITCH!

Lyn:  ..........WHERE DID THIS WOMAN FIND A POWER GLOVE!?

Gardner immediately made the cover, causing Parks to drop into position to count with the crowd helping him!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!

She was yanked off the cover by Isis. Rose got to her feet, and then up close and personal as she looked up to the Titaness. The crowd came to its feet at this point as Isis looked down in disgust at Rose.

Zack: They are standing in Oakland, and Rose is once more looking up at the most domanint woman in the history of this brand! It is deafening in here!!

Rose took off towards the ropes, and rebounded as Isis stood tall in the center. Gardner stopped short of her...and stomped her foot. A jawbreaker followed that, causing Isis to stagger backwards into the ropes. Valentina was beginning to get up as Linda came back in when she saw her heading for Rose.

Lyn: Linda cutting off Valentina at the pass and Rose with some of the most... Well, unique offense I’ve ever seen thrown at Isis but hell... Its working!

Linda caught Valentina from behind, and executed a full nelson into a faceplant. She darted towards Isis, jumping onto her back as she got her bearings. Morales tried to pull her off as Lozano headed towards the corner to get up.

Zack: TRIBUTE TO THE UC!! And Valentina’s rocked in the corner!

Lyn: Valentina’s struggling to get herself up, she doesn’t seem to know where she’s at!

Rose spotted Valentina in the corner before she took off in a dead sprint, just after Isis threw Linda to the floor. As Rose darted towards Lozano, Isis scooped her up with ease. She wasted no time whatsoever before connecting with the….

Zack: VOYAGE TO ARMAGEDDON!!

Lozano crawled over to make the cover as Isis looked back to see Linda on the floor still. Parks slid into position for the count.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

The boos were very loud as he called for the bell. Isis helped her associate and friend to her feet before Parks raised their hands in victory.

Lyn: Damn it. Damn damn damn...

Gaby: Here are your winners………….ASCENSION!!!!

The Oakland crowd was not the least bit happy with this as the Tornado Tag Champions stood triumphant in the ring. Linda crawled in to check on her daughter as Valentina and Isis stepped out to the floor.

Lyn: By hook or by crook the Tornado Tag champions walk out tonight victorious.

Zack: The Tornado Tag Champions have infuriated this crowd, and they may be the new odds on favorites to become the first Future Shock Tag Champions!

Lyn: That they did, Zack. That they did... But you won’t hear a single fan tonight trying to be happy about it.

As Isis and Valentina looked to one another with grins on their faces, we head to a commercial for the merchandise site for Future Shock.

The Hall Calls, Adam Hangs Up

The cameras head up to the stage, where we see the Director of Future Shock standing with a microphone in hand. The Oakland crowd gives him plenty of ovation as he is handed a microphone.

Adam: How are you enjoying Destiny so far?!

That also gets a pretty loud response, causing Adam to nod with a smile on his face. But that quickly fades.

Adam: As part of this job as the Director of Future Shock, sometimes you have to do things that you may not always like doing. Sometimes things you may not personally enjoy. Tonight, I have the hon….duty of introducing all of you to the latest inductee into the 2017 FFW Hall of Fame.

Zack: Not exactly something he sounds extraordinarily enthusiastic about, is it?

Lyn: Yeah, I think I was right. I’m going to buy that man a bottle of wine after the show.

Adam: While I may not be the biggest fan of hers personally, even I cannot deny what she has accomplished both in Future Shock and as part of the main roster of FFW. In FFW, she held virtually every title she set her mind to capturing, including the now retired Television Championship and more than one reign as the co-holder of the Unity Championship. In Future Shock, she holds the record for the most Future Shock Championship reigns, holding our biggest prize a total of 3 times.

He takes a very deep breath at this point.

Lyn: Maybe two bottles of wine. A light scotch. No he really doesn’t seem like that big a drinker.

Zack: Maybe we’ll just treat him to dinner then.

Adam: With that said, ladies and gentlemen here tonight at Future Shock Destiny and watching around the globe on Pay Per View, allow me to introduce the latest inductee into the 2017 FFW Hall of Fame….

He gestures behind him as the graphic pops up on the video wall. And the boos erupt immediately from there.

Zack: Oh boy….

Adam: ‘THE FIREBIRD’ IGNIS!!!

“Going To Hell” hits the PA, and out walks the Firebird, in her ring gear, trying to pump up the crowd which goes as well as you’d expect. She goes to hug Adam, giving him a big squeeze which he clearly doesn’t appreciate, before trying to get an “IGNIS RULES” chant going. That fails. She brought a microphone with her, which only serves to irritate the fans more.

Ignis: ORLANDO!!! The Raiders may have gone, but right here, you have a franchise you can truly believe in! THE HALL OF FAME FIREBIRD....... IGNIS!!!!

She’s getting pretty nuclear heat at this point. She seems almost flattered by the boos, maybe her crazy mind hears cheers, who even knows.

Ignis: Normally, one would take this moment to thank a few people. But as I am a WRESTLING GOD... I DID IT ALL MYSELF!!! So I would instead like to give a list of SCREW YOUS! Mel Avilo, screw you. Gabrielle, standing in that ring looking derpy, screw you too! And the biggest screw you goes to my dear sisters, Lightning & Undine, because I’M OFFICIALLY THE BEST AND AIN’T NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!

Zack: Well….I’m not sure what I expected out of this speech, but somehow i’m not totally shocked by it, Lyn.

Lyn: I’m betting LIghtning is at least. Sort of.

Suddenly, “Stormbringer” by Deep Purple hits the PA, and a very annoyed looking Lightwing walks out and starts yelling at Adam, who completely blanks her and walks away. Lightning starts screaming “IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!” which only gets more loud as Ignis makes an L shape on her forehead with her finger and thumb. Adam shakes his head, and heads off stage to leave them to bicker.

Lyn: Speak of the electrically charged devil.

Zack: Well Ignis is joining the Hall of Fame this year in FFW, Lightning isn’t happy about it. Luckily for them, they have a match a little later to work off the anger. Or at least Lightning can work it off.

On that, we head to a commercial for the Future Shock merchandise site.

A video package shows us the history between Missy and Bianca, including the brunette getting doused with cockroaches and the war of words between them. We immediately head back to the ring with Gaby.

Zack: This right here….this might be the most heated match on the card tonight, Lyn! I don’t think we are going to see a technical classic, this is just gonna be a fight!

Lyn: This is the type of brawl you might have to put the kids to bed for, Zack.

Gaby: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

The lights in the arena go off before a single purple spotlight hits the stage. As the opening bars of Wild Side by Cross My Heart Hope To Die starts to play Missy appears at the entrance way. Missy stands perfectly still, as her head stays bent, looking towards the ground.

I've been on my best behavior
But I've heard that good girls finish last
And once you're gone they say no one can save you
But who knows if I go I may never want to ever come back
We've all fell victim to temptation
It seems that I'm the last one holding on
What's the use in fighting for my salvation
And why does it feel so damn right to want to be so wrong

At the side of Missy purple lights flash on and off, looking almost like fireworks, causing a wave of oohs and cheers to escape from the crowd. As the lights subside, Missy raises her arms up to the air and a single white spotlight accompanies the move.

I just wanna dance with the devil tonight
I wanna know what it feels like
I wanna close my eyes, put my hands in the sky
I wanna walk on the wild side

Gaby: Introducing at this time…. Hailing from Leeds, England and weighing in at One hundred and twelve pounds… she is MIIIIISSSSSY!

Missy makes her way down the ramp to the ring keeping her eyes straight ahead, focussing on the ring. When she reaches the ring she slowly climbs the steel steps, building the crowd to fever pitch with anticipation, she climbs elegantly between the bottom and middle rope and climbs up onto the middle rope. She smirks before blowing a kiss out to the crowd as her theme music ends.

Zack: I don’t know if Scarlett’s here or if Missy’s decided she wants to handle Bianca herself. But one thing’s for sure, that woman right there has never been treated the way Bianca has done in her career.

Lyn: That does something to a wrestler, y’know. It’ll make ‘em fight harder. Fight angrier... But we’ll see if the anger clouds strategy.

I told ya, baby
Uh-oh
I told ya

The arena darkens as “Rockstar 101” by Rihanna begins to play before the camera takes us behind a woman with purple hair. She steps out onto the stage, raising her hand and making a fist as the camera looks over her shoulder. She tosses her sunglasses on her head out to the crowd as she heads towards the ring.

Rocking these diamonds
I'm rocking this chain
Make sure you get a picture
I'm rocking my fame

Gaby: Introducing from Atlanta, Georgia, this is the Princess of the Reed family……...BIANCA REED!!!!

Bianca climbs up onto the apron, drops into a split before sliding under the bottom rope to the inside. She brings her legs together and hops to her feet, already making eye contact with her opponent and running them down verbally while her music fades and before the bell even rings.

Zack: I think it’s safe to say that Bianca Reed is not short of confidence in her own abilities. And she’s already talking some smack before the bell’s even rang!

Lyn: Reed has gotten into the heads of more than a few women in Future Shock already and I think that’s just the way she likes it. Notoriety equals talk and any talk is good.

Referee Melinda Davis barely has time to call for the bell before Missy takes off towards Bianca. The bell sounds just as the two begin throwing punches at a furious clip. Bianca starts to get the better of the exchange until Missy uses an eye rake to blind her. It stuns her long enough for a pair of forearm shots to the side of the head follow that. A vicious look on Missy’s face can be seen before she executes a hair mare, throwing Bianca to the mat. She quickly mounts her back, and starts scrubbing her face against the canvas before pulling her head up and spiking it back on the mat. The brunette gets to her feet, pulling Bianca’s arms behind her to deliver a standing face wash into the canvas.

Zack: You can tell Missy’s been waiting on this opportunity for quite some time, and she’s trying to hurt and embarrass the baby girl of the Reed family.

Lyn: Nasty corner boot to the face of Reed and Missy doesn’t look as though she’s done with the punishment yet.

Missy pulls her back to her feet, and fires her into the corner. Reed strikes back first as Missy barrels in with a running forearm, only for Bianca to duck and sidestep her. When the brunette stops herself from colliding with the corner, Reed sweeps her feet out from under her and causes her to faceplant on the top turnbuckle and drop to her knees. Bianca wastes no time as she takes off for the ropes, and rebounds into a knee trembler into the back of Missy’s head, causing it to bounce off the second turnbuckle this time. She leans over a moment until Bianca uses a basement dropkick to make her head smack off the bottom turnbuckle next.

Zack: Bianca’s using her speed, and Missy’s face is getting to know every turnbuckle in that corner intimately as a result.

Lyn: Rebound into the knee lift and followed up with a dropkick off the turnbuckle, making use of a ring as a makeshift partner. You can’t teach that kind of know-how.

Missy starts to get back up finally in the same corner before Bianca spins her around, and immediately begins to unload with furious kicks to the body. Her feet show amazing speed as she is able to connect with several shots, causing Missy to double over in pain. Reed pulls her out of the corner before bouncing off the near side with a Fameasser to drop her back to the mat. The baby of the Reed family delivers a second basement dropkick to her head as she tries to get up before leaning down to ruffle Missy’s hair with a smirk before she gets to her feet.

Lyn: Leg drop bulldog and now... Well, now Miss Reed is doing what she very well has done best so far and our Leeds native isn’t going to like that too much.

Zack: Bianca said that seeing how angry she had made Missy was a big reason why she kept antagonizing her. She’s proving that right now, I’d say.

Still continuing to talk smack to Missy, Bianca pulls her back to her feet and moves around behind her. She peppers her with forearms to the back of her head before she sends her across for the ride. Missy rebounds quickly before Reed leaves her feet, delivering headscissors DDT. She immediately heads for the corner, hopping up to the second turnbuckle from the inside. Reed waves her to get up as she still runs her mouth at the same time. When the brunette starts to rise, Bianca flew into flying clothesline but Missy caught her with a discus punch on her descent. Reed crashed to the mat face down as Missy tried to gather her wits.

Zack: This just goes to show you how little these two like each other. No one’s gone for a pin or a submission yet. It’s just all about punishing the other woman.

Lyn: Vicious discus punch there that might have just laid Reed low there, she may be on another planet right now after that one and... ...And Missy looks like she’s reaching levels of anger not yet seen before.

Missy‘s face contorted to anger as she finally got back to her feet. Bianca began to do the same as Missy delivered a running knee lift into her face. It stood Bianca up briefly, allowing Missy to take her back down with a side Russian leg sweep. A double leg drop across the chest followed that before Missy mounted her again, pelting her with fast right hands to the head. She rose to her feet, listening to the boos of the crowd for a moment as Bianca began to get up again. The English beauty raked her boot across Bianca’s face before using a swinging neckbreaker to flatten her onto the mat. She looked as though she were about to go for a cover, but seemed to think better of it. Instead she circled around behind Bianca, waiting on her to get back to her feet. Reed was slow to do so though. But when she did, Missy descended on her and applied her cobra clutch.

Lyn: Always love a good cobra clutch now that the pace of this match is slowing down a bit. Fun fact: the technical name for this move is an ‘arm-trap half nelson sleeper’... But cobra clutch just sounds better.

Zack: I agree, certainly sounds more lethal too. Either way, Missy uses this move frequently and with good reason. It’s definitely doing the damage needed.

The fans in Oakland began to chant for the princess of the Reed family as Missy had the cobra clutch locked in tightly. She began to shake her back and forth in the submission, trying to get even more effectiveness out of the hold. The referee moved around in front of Bianca, checking for a submission though she wasn’t getting one. Sensing it was working, Missy leaned over her as Reed’s legs seemed to be weakening as she started to crumple to one knee. The fans only got louder at this point, trying to rally her forward as Missy told the referee to call the match.

Zack: There may not be too many I’ve seen who uses the cobra clutch to a better effect than Missy, and Bianca Reed is fading quickly here. She’s been in this hold for over a minute now, Lyn.

Lyn: Too much blood not getting to her head, Zack. That’s what makes this so efficient. It’s not your standard air choke sleeper. We’re looking at a blood choke when you talk about the cobra clutch. ...Wait!

The crowd only grew louder still, chanting Bianca’s name as the referee lifted her arm. It dropped back to her side, only to do it again after another lift. When she raised it a third time, it fell halfway...but came back up as Bianca pushed up to her feet and hurled herself into the ropes. The momentum sent Missy through the ropes out to the floor after a roll off the apron. Meanwhile back in the ring, Bianca was on her hands and knees trying to get her bearings. Missy began to rise slowly ringside, still an angry look on her face as she snatched Bianca’s feet and jerked her out of the ring with her.

Zack: Bianca’s still trying to get her wits about her after being stuck in that cobra clutch for some time. But it doesn’t look like she’s going to get much of a reprieve, does it?

Lyn: Missy don’t give no damn no way no how. Tell ‘em why you mad, kid. Go ‘head tell ‘em.

Missy picked Bianca up, and dropped her throat first across the barricade and caused her to fall to her knees to catch her breath amidst quite a bit of coughing. Missy moved a couple feet away, and began to pull up the ringside mat to expose the concrete floor underneath it. She doubled back and pulled Bianca onto the exposed floor with her, hooking her head into position for a DDT.

Zack: She wants to really do a number on Bianca! Missy’s exposed the concrete, and Bianca’s head is gonna get caved in!

With the crowd booing louder, Missy went for the DDT but Bianca hooked her arm around the barricade wall. Missy landed on her head and back instead on the floor, as Bianca stood back up and was right back to talking trash. She rolled back inside to break the count, causing the referee to tell her to keep it in the ring. As Missy was beginning to rise, Bianca took off for the far side and left her feet after the rebound with a suicide plancha over the top rope to send Missy right back to the exposed floor again. The live crowd roared as Bianca got back to her feet, steady talking trash as her head shook back and forth almost like a bobblehead.

Zack: Bianca Reed is back up, and...oh my, she’s letting Missy know just how she feels about her. I’m glad she isn’t wearing a microphone with some of what I’m hearing!

Lyn: .......There’s nothing quite as scary in my lifetime as a black woman telling me about myself. I’m doubtful Missy feels that same fear though. Might just be me.

Bianca pulled Missy back to her feet, driving knees into her abdomen before she threw her back inside the ring. Reed walked around the corner, pulling up the apron as she did before she retrieved a small white bucket with a lid and sat it in the corner. The live crowd got much louder at the sight of it.

Zack: Look at that! Bianca brought some friends with her! That’s not a cup, that’s a bucket!

Lyn: Someone cue up “Roach Motel” by Count Zero.

Bianca rolled back into the ring as Missy was beginning to get up again. Reed took off for the far side in front of Missy, using the ropes for a springboard moonsault that landed Missy flat on the mat. Reed made the cover as Davis dropped to count.

Zack: A picture perfect moonsault off the middle rope, and Reed’s got the cover!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!!!

Missy kicked out after the two count, prompting Bianca to get right back to her feet. As the brunette began to do the same, Bianca caught her with a spinwheel kick to the head that dropped her again. Reed headed for the corner, and made her way up to the top rope.

Lyn: Reed climbing to the top of the ring here and may have something up in her sleeve.

Bianca wasted little time before she dove off the top rope with a frog splash, only for Missy to roll out of the way. Reed crashed into the mat as Missy rolled towards the ropes, trying to pull herself together as she got back to her feet. She started to head towards Bianca till she spotted the bucket, and stopped dead in her tracks for a moment. Missy waved towards the back, causing a chorus of boos from the crowd as Scarlett Silver headed out. Missy told her to get that bucket out of here, to which Scarlett looked at it with disgust...and some reluctance.

Lyn: Silver being told by Missy to get that bucket of roaches and... Yeesh, there is some true friendship here.

Scarlett clearly wasn’t interested in the job, but picked it up and held it as far away from her body as she started towards the back with it and repulsed face at the sight of it. Missy turned back to find Bianca back up to her feet, and the two started trading blows again. This time, Bianca got the better of it with the help of a short knee to the ribs that doubled Missy over in half. Reed grabbed her head, and took off towards the ropes into a springboard bulldog that flattened Missy. She immediately rolled her over for the cover as Davis dropped to count.

Zack: Seeing that bucket took Missy off her game, and it gave Bianca an opening! Springboard bulldog into the cover, Reed may have it right here!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

Missy got her shoulder up in time before the three came down, causing Reed to get back to her feet and double back to the corner again. She found herself on the top turnbuckle once more, waving at Missy to get back to her feet.

Lyn: Reed once again up on the top--

As Missy got back to her feet finally, Bianca came off with a diving corkscrew stunner in mind. But Missy sidestepped her, causing her to stumble and land on her feet. When Reed turned around, Missy left her feet with a spiked hurricanrana into a pin! Davis dove into position as Missy had her feet hooked...and the middle rope as well!

Lyn: SLEEP TIGHT! Wait, the ropes! Feet are on the--

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Davis called for the bell as Missy immediately let go of the ropes, and got back to her feet. The live crowd showed her no love whatsoever as her hand was raised in victory.

Gaby: Here is your winner………….MISSY!!

Zack: Missy, with the help of the ropes, pulled out the victory here tonight at Destiny! But I think it’s safe to say she just earned herself a career rival in Bianca Reed!

Lyn: At least she didn’t earn herself a roach bath on top of it. Thanks to Scarlett in part.

Missy dusted off her hands, and kicked her feet behind her as though she were kicking dirt onto Bianca. At least she did till Reed lunged at her to grab her, to which she rolled out of the ring to the floor. Bianca held the back of her head as she stared daggers to Missy as she backed up the aisle. The brunette only had a smirk on her face as she watched her.

Lyn: Not a victory the debuting Reed was hoping for but I guarantee you it won’t be the last time we see them facing.

Missy’s face as she backed up the ramp looking at Bianca was the last image before we cut to a commercial for Unstoppable 8.

Angel Among Us

A brief recap shows the recent match between Freya and Angel before we head to the back, and find the platinum haired beauty with her manager, Christian Kincaid. As he was about to speak, a production assistant hands him a note, to which he nods as they exit the scene.

Christian: So the first night didn’t quite go as planned. But Freya’s hardly an embarrassing loss. The woman has done damn near everything, if you look at her accomplishments. I also appreciate how she offered fifty grand to anyone who could beat her clean in a match. Win or lose tonight, something tells me the money is safe when she faces O.E.

Angel: I would be...very, very surprised if O.E is unable to win the match, and I would be equally as surprised if it comes out that she won’t actually pay the money. It seems like quite the thing Freya would do, just to spite people. Namely anyone she doesn’t like.

Christian: But that was then, and in case you were wondering, this was a note telling me about the next time my client here finds herself in a Future Shock ring. And she gets to face someone that...well…..doesn’t seem to be happy with her lot in life right now. Which is probably going to do wonders for her in the graduation poll, let me tell you. Guess what?

He told her, placing a hand on her shoulder as he addressed her.

Christian: You got Carmen Gutierrez next!

Angel: ...Wonderful. I get to face a woman where literally the most interesting thing about her is that she can flip with some of the best. She might have developed steam behind her recently, but that doesn’t detract from the fact there is almost nothing to separate her from anything, other than being from I think the only country in South America that hadn’t been represented in FFW by that point. At least of the major ones that people actually care about.

Christian: She was complaining a bit about her recent matches in a promo. You know….when she was scheduled to face the Future Shock Champion, where if she had won, she’d have become a much bigger fish in the pond?

Angel: Forgive me, I haven’t made a thing about watching promotional pieces from people I could elsewise use as a cure for insomnia. However, I will need to give that a look. If you are complaining about getting a match that will raise your profile, regardless of the result, you should perhaps reconsider yourself and what you feel to be “good enough”. Just because the FFW Champion is a Future Shock graduate does not mean you automatically belong there.

Christian: I’d also offer a little bit of advice to you seriously here, Carmen. I’ve seen enough seasons and followed along since the start. And if you want to win over fans in the hopes of potentially graduating, I’ve not seen too many girls go up that spend time bemoaning their fate. There’s a very famous example of that, and I’m not saying you are anything like her. God help you if you were, but there’s a case to be made for not going down the uh...Samantha Tolson road.

Angel: Ooooooo, low blow.

She giggles....which sounds weird as hell.

Angel: However, it’s not inaccurate. You cannot expect to get anywhere in Future Shock - or wrestling - by straight out disrespecting everything around you. I might dislike most people, but I am far too aware of what would happen if I turned around and told Mr. Grant that I was not happy with where he believes I belong. Or the fans for that fact.

Christian: Like I said, I don’t think you’re acting like her. But I’d definitely be mindful of things that I say, if you want the fans to support you in a graduation vote. Either way on the next show, your problems multiply. You think dealing with Sienna and that chick who can’t make up her mind about anything for ten seconds was bad…..  I’m kinda surprised that girl has a job actually….

Angel: Now, now, let’s not make jokes about the disabled. FFW is an equal opportunities employer, another example of that being the whole Kara, Wendy House thing. That said, I’’m not certain that having a woman who’s unable to maintain a head for a whole match is safe for anyone, for a host of reasons.

Christian: She kinda makes those stereotypes about women ring loud and clear, doesn’t she? Except she takes it a whole other level of indecisiveness.

Angel: I...think it might go beyond that. I don’t know, just a hunch. In either case, she’s not important right now. What’s important in a couple of weeks is taking on arguably the most boring thing in the whole of Future Shock, and we have Casey Atherton’s latest version of bad acting.

Christian: We’ll see you in Boston, Carmen. And don’t worry, Angel won’t change her mind before the bell rings.

He said with a grin and a wink before we cut back to the ring.

After a clip package showing the history between them, we head back to the ring and find Gaby where she usually is in these circumstances.

Gaby: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Zack: I think we’re about to see a styles clash here with some bad intentions added into the mix. A veteran striker meets a submission wrestler….who frankly uses some immature tactics, namely OE.

Lyn: She’s also apparently a huge L.O.X. fan.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah... What up Looch! What up D-Block!”

Gaby: Accompanied to the ring by Mai Hotaru.. From Kumamoto, Japan, she is The Eighth Chamber Orochi... O.E. AYANO!!

Walking towards the ring from behind the curtain is the Eighth Chamber Orochi, O.E. Ayano. Ayano is dressed in a football jersey over her ring gear and a surgical mask. As “Dirty Ryder” (Ratatat Remix) by L.O.X. plays through the arena sound system, the crowd boos O.E. all her way to the squared circle from. She walks down the ramp, leaps onto the apron before climbing up to the top turnbuckle and flashing a pair of middle fingers as Mai Hotaru applauds her. O.E. rolls into the ring and glares around before pulling her surgical mask down.

Zack: The self-professed alumni killer herself, O.E. Ayano, thinks the alumni are holding back prospects like herself. Add in what is like a little frustration that she keeps getting voted down in graduation polls, and you’ve got an angry thug right here with Mai Hotaru.

Lyn: I wouldn’t even go far enough to classify her a thug. She gets miscreant, hoodlum at best for all the times she calls veterans ‘oldheads’.

The lights dim down in the Future Shock Center as the opening riff to “The Trooper” by Iron Maiden booms out of the sound system as Freya steps out from the back with a determined look on her face. She calmly walks to the ring slapping hands along her journey to the squared circle. Once at ringside, Freya runs quickly around the ring slapping everyone’s hand. After that’s concluded, Freya hops up onto the apron and runs back and forth to pump everyone up before jumping into the ring. She backs into the corner and begins to wait for the match to get underway.

Gaby: Hailing from Miami, Florida, she is the one and only, Freya!

Zack: Speaking of angry women, it certainly seems like Freya is getting more and more agitated in recent weeks. And after OE attacking her more than once of late, it’s not as though she doesn’t have some reason to feel that way, Lyn.

Lyn: Freya’s been feeling aggravation from all sides seemingly and she may take it out on the younger star here.

Referee Angela Keanan calls for the bell to start the match just as Mai hops up on the apron. Freya glances towards her, giving OE the opening she was hoping for as she charges across and tries to catch her with a blindside attack. But the wily veteran senses it coming, and ducks out of the way. OE spins around to face her after missing the clothesline, and immediately starts catching rights and lefts from Freya to the jaw one after another. Each shot rocks her in place before Freya fires her into the nearest corner. As soon as Ayano hits the corner, Freya darts in after her with a jumping knee strike into the side of her head. She pulls her arms around the top rope as OE hangs in place before Freya once more fires right hands in a flurry. A monkey flip sees her tossed to the mat as Freya lunges on top of her, mounting her chest to deliver left and right combinations this time until the referee finally pulls her off OE.

Zack: Freya’s a house of fire already! I knew she was angry, but she’s unleashing seven shades of hell with those vicious strikes to Future Shock’s Favorite Thug.

Lyn: Ayano don’t want none of it and is looking for an escape route... Here comes the ref!

Freya shoves the referee away when she tries to pull her off OE, which gives Ayano a chance to get back to her feet. Kane darts towards her, looking for a running European uppercut that immediately rocks Ayano backwards just as she was getting her bearings. It sent her back into the ropes with Freya closing the gap before driving a knee into her ribs followed by two more. The combination doubled Ayano over before Freya took off for the far side. She rebounded, picking up speed in the process as she went for a clothesline. But Ayano dropped, and pulled the top rope down with her to send Freya tumbling over to the outside. She hit the floor with a smack as OE sat up on her knees, shaking her head as she tried to pull herself together.

Zack: Freya was nothing but piss and vinegar right there, but OE managed to low bridge that top rope and get herself a chance to take a deep breath.

Lyn: She’s going to try and get Freya wrestling at her pace... Which obviously will include a lot less knees and fists.

Ayano rolled out to the floor after her, causing Keanan to begin her mandatory count. OE jerked Freya up by the arm, and fired a pair of front kicks into her body to double her over. She quickly whipped her into the barricade, only to scoop her up into position for a backdrop driver on the floor. The fans gave Ayano no appreciation at all as she got back to her feet, plugged a thumb into her nose and proceeded to blow each nostril out onto Freya. The boos from the crowd only got louder at the sight of that. Mai climbed up onto the apron again, causing Keanan to go after her and allowing OE to pull something out from under the ring….a muffler.

Lyn: ...Ladies and gentlemen, Olde English Ayano has pulled out... A car muffler.

Freya started to rise again, using the apron to pull herself up. And when she turned to see where OE was, Ayano clubbed her with the muffler across the jaw and dropped her to the floor. Ayano glanced up to see Mai still talking to the referee, giving OE the chance to press a foot against Freya’s throat to hold her in place before she raised the chrome muffler overhead like a guillotine….and then proceeded to club her relentlessly with it about the head. She tossed the dented part to the floor as Freya was busted open ringside.

Lyn: Freya’s been bloodied with a car muffler... I... I want to know where Ayano possibly got a car muffler. At this time of day, in this part of Oakland, with that much traffic put together from this event.

Zack: I saw Mai out here earlier today as they were setting up the ring. Something tells me she might have hid that there for her.

The muffler lay on the ringside mat with Freya’s blood on it as OE pulled her back to her feet. She rolled her under the bottom rope as Mai got back down on the floor. Keanan turned back with a curious look, asking OE why Freya was bleeding. Ayano said she did it to herself before measuring a fist drop into her head. The prospect sat up on her knees, and proceeded to grind her elbow into Freya’s head, causing her arm to also get some of the veteran’s blood on it. Ayano got back to her feet, showing the crowd her bloody forearm and elbow with pride. It only got her anger from the Oakland crowd.

Zack: Look at OE, showing off the handiwork of what she’s done. It’s like a badge of honor for her, and Freya is a mess! She doesn’t have a clue where she is right now.

Lyn: Just the way the Eighth Chamber Orochi probably likes it. She can play with her, kick her around, do whatever she feels like.

OE seemed to be having fun now as she saw Freya trying to move, and get up. She pushed her head away with her foot, toying with her. Kane’s eyes were more than a little glassy for obvious reasons as she started to crawl for the ropes to help her get up. OE pushed her forward with a little kick to the butt, telling her to get up and fight. Freya crawled slowly towards the ropes, stopping to try to clear her vision as the wound on her head was still very fresh. OE pulled her back, executing a hammerlock DDT before using a knee drop to the back of her head and neck to follow it. She rolled her onto her back, and draped back across her for a lackadaisical cover. Keanan slid into position to count.

Zack: Freya’s had her clock cleaned, and OE’s having fun with it! At least it’s about to be over!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!

Freya got her shoulder up, causing OE to sit up and look at the referee to ask if she was sure. Keanan held up two fingers, looking about as stunned as Ayano. This brought the crowd to life as well.

Lyn: Ayano needs to learn that Freya’s probably been in this situation as many times as Ayano’s had birthdays.

OE’s face went from surprise to anger as she got back to her feet. She pulled Freya up with her, hooking her head into position for a neckbreaker as Freya shoved her away. OE doubled back after her, grabbing her head again only for Freya to surprise her with a jawbreaker. It sent Ayano stumbling backwards as Freya wobbled on her feet still. It didn’t slow the Prospect down for long though as she darted back towards her with an angry glare on her face. As soon as she went to grab her, Freya surprised her with a roundhouse kick to the side of her head. Ayano staggered backwards, just like Freya was doing because of the attack earlier. OE got her bearings first though as Freya went to kick her again, only catching her leg and answering with an enzuigiri to the back of her head. Freya faceplanted on the mat with a thud, unmoving as OE tried to get herself together as well. She rose back to her feet, spitting on the unmoving veteran.

Zack: That was a vile...vile enzuigiri to Freya’s skull, and I think she’s out cold after that coupled with that stupid muffler earlier.

Lyn: She’s going for th-- Goddamnit what kind of pin is that?!

OE used her foot to kick her over onto her back, Freya just rolling with her limbs loose at her side. The Prospect put a foot on her chest, pointing to the mat and telling the referee to count. Keanan did as she was instructed.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

Zack: That’s just instinct right there! Freya doesn’t have a clue what’s going on! She doesn’t know if this is Oakland or the Ottoman Empire!

Freya’s arm popped up and fell back to the canvas, bringing the crowd back into the match again as they began to chant her name anew. Ayano got back to her feet, shaking her head as she headed for the corner and crouched in place. Freya was super slow to move, causing the referee to ask her if she wanted to continue. Freya weakly pushed her away, the camera showing the very glassy look in her eyes as she looked like she wasn’t sure where she was.

Lyn: Too many of those shots to the head has put Freya on dream street here but I have to believe she can still win here. She’s just gotta dig deep.

OE watched from the corner as Freya crawled towards the ropes slowly. She reached out for them while they were easily within reach, but seemed to have trouble wrapping her hand around one of them. OE moved around behind her, tapping her foot as Freya finally grabbed the middle rope and used it to help her get up. When she did and turned back towards the ring, OE launched forward with a high yakuza kick! But Freya dropped, and like OE earlier, pulled the top rope down with her as OE’s leg cleared it. When Freya let go, the rope snapped back up between OE’s legs and froze the thug in place to a roar from the crowd.

Zack: Look at OE’s face! I don’t know if Freya did that intentionally or it was dumb luck. Either way, it worked like a charm! And Oakland came to life!

Lyn: If Ayano was still hoping to get a mister from Vivi after she’s done with Freya, he might not be of much use to her after all.

Kane got back to her feet in a very wobbly state before she grabbed the top rope, and shook it to cause OE to bounce on the ropes in the least delicate way. Freya staggered away from her towards the corner, trying to wipe her vision clear. Ayano got her feet back onto the mat again, walking very gingerly. She only made it about two steps from the ropes before Freya bolted towards her, catching her with a roaring knee strike to the temple that dropped her like a sack of bricks.

Zack: That’s EAT THE KNEE!! My God, she’s gonna do it!! Freya with the cover!! I don’t believe it!!

Kane dropped across OE, almost collapsing as Keanan slid into position to make the count. The fans counted with her.

ONE!!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

As the three struck though, Mai pulled OE’s foot across the bottom rope and shouted at the referee. Keanan was about to call for the bell when she saw it, waving it off to deafening boos from the crowd.

Lyn: OE’s out cold damnit! Out cold and yet Mai helps her stay in this. BARELY.

Freya sat up, still glassy eyed as she held up three fingers to the referee. Keanan shook her head, telling her she got her foot across the bottom rope. Mai jerked a water bottle from the broadcast desk, and darted back to pour it over OE’s face. The thug began to wake up after the shot, looking around slowly as she saw the referee still trying to explain to a confused Freya what happened Ayano wasted no time, immediately applying her inverted lotus hold, all the while trying to clear her own cobwebs even still.

Lyn: TRIUMPH!!

The referee asked Freya if she wanted to quit, but her movements began to slow ultimately. Finally, they stopped altogether. Keanan checked one last time to no response, and immediately called for the bell.

Gaby: Your winner of the match by submission……….’THE 8 CHAMBER OROCHI’ O.E. AYANO!!!

Zack: That knee strike was all she had left! And when OE put on that hold of hers, there was nothing left! Freya passed out, and the Alumni Killer claims another one!

Lyn: Andi Takata and now Freya. Ayano swears she’ll be living up to her name.

Mai climbed into the ring to help her client to her feet, raising her hand as the referee raised the other one. The live crowd didn’t like it at all as a trainer came to the ring to help Freya.

Zack: A gutty effort by Freya, but OE picks up the win with a little help from Mai Hotaru..and a damn muffler!

Lyn: A three on one match if I’ve ever seen one and O.E. can barely stand.

As OE stumbles out to the floor with Mai behind her, we head elsewhere.

The show cuts elsewhere, inside a large room with an indoor pool. Standing out of the pool are two pedestals with a joust stick lying on each stand.

Zack: Andi Takata challenged Casey Atherton for her water joust championship that Casey gave herself years ago, and she got her wish. We want to thank the Berkeley City Club for allowing us to use their pool. This was shot earlier this afternoon, kind of a bonus for the fans before they meet here in the ring a bit later tonight.

Lyn: Certainly been awhile since we’ve seen a challenge of sorts so a bonus is right.

The first to emerge from the back was Andi, in a simple black bikini as she headed for the pool. She climbed up the ladder from the edge to the top of the pedestal, raising her pugil stick and twirling it in her hands.

Zack: Andi’s no stranger to these competitions, she’s been in them herself. She’s ready to compete, and wants to embarrass Casey before they meet in the ring.

Lyn: Takata certainly hasn’t forgotten the events of Whiplash and I imagine a good night for her would be embarrassing Atherton here in the challenge and then again in the ring for good measure.

Surrounded by several members of the choir, Casey Atherton makes her way out from the back. She’s not dressed in a swimsuit, rather a floral print dress that one might wear to church. Members of the choir gather around the edge of the pool as she climbs up, all of them in black and blue robes and wearing inflatable red water wings.

Lyn: ...I really hope there isn’t going to be a group baptismal after this, Zack... And where did they get all the floaties?

Zack: Not sure, but I’m guessing the Church never popped for swimming lessons. Though none of them have any reason to be here anyway.

Referee Stephen Wilson is shown on one side of the pool as one of the Choir approaches him about a donation. He tries to ignore them as he asks both women if they are ready to compete. Andi gives him an affirmative as Casey holds up her hand to ask for a moment before bowing her head to pray. All the members of the Choir immediately do the same as their spiritual leader.

Lyn: ...This is asinine.

Andi rolls her eyes, and looks around at the referee to ask if she had to wait for this. Casey, however, takes advantage of this as she catches Andi with a cheap shot with the pugil stick in the back before the whistle blows to start the contest. Casey immediately begins to hammer Andi in the back with her pugil stick, almost trying to beat her down onto her pedestal with the Choir making joyous noise at the same time. Andi tries to get back up as Casey goes to sweep her feet out with the stick to send her into the pool, but Takata jumps over it as it passes. When she lands, she begins to swing her pugil stick. She catches Casey in the ribs as the redhead is trying to keep hold of her pugil stick. Atherton manages to pull it back, but not before Andi rains down shots on her back and shoulder, trying to knock her off balance.

Zack: Look at Andi go. She weathered that cheap shot from Casey, and has really turned the tables here. Atherton’s getting batted about the head and shoulders with impunity right now.

Lyn: A good start for the Space Princess but Atherton still looking like she won’t go down easily.

Andi continued the barrage until Casey tried to shove the stick away, thus regaining her balance. And then the pair began to strike those sticks together, almost like a sword fight. Andi would try to catch her with a shot, only for Casey to block and parry with her own pugil stick. Takata went to try to catch her on the knee, but Casey kicked the blunt end of the stick away. She then caught Takata starting to rise with a shot directly to her face. The alien princess reeled backwards off the shot as Casey began to fire those shots quicker, aiming at anything she could hit while Andi teetered near the edge of her pedestal.

Zack: That shot to the face has Andi in big time trouble here, and Casey’s aiming for anything that moves up there! Andi may regret asking for this challenge!

Lyn: Stiff blows there, one after the next and Casey’s now hitting any part of Andi that moves.

With Andi near the edge, Casey measured one more shot aimed at her side to tip her over. But as she did, Andi managed to regain some of her balance. When Casey swung, Andi caught it under one arm and held it there before she began to pound her pugil stick into the top of Casey’s head at the same time.

Zack: If you ever played whack-a-mole, fans, that’s the strategy Andi is using right now! And Casey can’t get her stick free!

Lyn: Takata giving Atherton a hell of a crowning there and again and again and again...

Andi continued to pound away at the top of Casey’s head, causing her to drop to her knees. Takata jerked the stick away, letting it fall into the water as Casey looked down to try to grab it. Her timing was far too late though as Andi grinned, and resumed bashing away with her stick to an unarmed Casey.

Lyn: I know some of the more religious say that they are armed with the “word of God” but that a pugil stick won’t be countered by!

Casey absorbed many shots, trying to protect herself. But they were getting to her as she was starting to teeter on her knees. Andi leaned back, and went to swing one hard shot….until she fell into the water. The camera pulled back to see two members of the Choir had climbed up onto Andi’s pedestal and pushed her off. Casey got back to her feet on her own pedestal, raising her hands in victory!

Lyn: ..................Apparently I spoke too soon.

Zack: That you did! We took our eyes off these sycophants for just a minute, and that’s what happens! I hope Andi has a plan for these people later tonight.

The space princess was not happy, glaring at the members of the Choir (including the two who were standing on her pedestal. Casey headed back down her ladder to the floor as the Choir hoisted her up on their shoulders to carry her as though she’d just won the big game while Andi headed for the edge to climb out.

Zack: Andi got hosed right there, two of Casey’s choir shoved her off when she had this thing won already. Casey will claim that as a moral victory, no doubt. And if Andi needed more motivation for their match later in this show, she’s got it now, Lyn!

Lyn: Space Crushers. Space Crushers and L.O.V.E. and Takata Drivers  for all of them.

A very annoyed Andi climbed out of the pool, and was handed a towel as we cut back inside the arena in Oakland.

A clip shows us the fire that took place burning the clothes of Next Generation and the war of words between them and the Leavenworth sisters before we head back to the ring with Gaby.

Gaby: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall!

Zack: This may be the most anticipated tag match on tonight’s card, and rightfully so considering the events that lead up to it. Lyn, you are as familiar with Lightning and Ignis as I am. For newer viewers, would you like to enlighten them on these two women we are going to see?

Lyn: For those unaware, let me lay it to you like this. The amount of ways Ignis knows how to cripple someone’s arm is equal to the amount of suplexes that Lightning knows how to throw out. The Leavenworth sisters are mean. They are spiteful. They are technically sound and viciously uncompromising.

The opening guitars of Muse’s “Supermassive Black Hole” comes out through the speakers, which gains a pop from the crowd in attendance. As the guitar changes briefly to cite the drums starting up as well, the two women of The Next Generation, Caitlyn Storm and Mandy Gray, emerge from behind the curtain. The two girls turn to each other and fistbump before heading down the ramp.

Gaby: On their way to the ring, hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina and New York City, New York, they are Mandy Gray and Caitlyn Storm, THE NEXT GENERATION!

With Gaby’s intro out of the way, the girls pick up speed and all but throw themselves under the bottom rope and push themselves to their feet. Together still, they head for the turnbuckles. Mandy stands on the second rope while Caitlyn on the top one next to her. The two girls pose for a moment before jumping down and retreating to their corner, where they discuss something between them as the music fades out.

Zack: Mandy Gray and Caitlyn Storm have an axe to grind with Ignis and Lightning. No pun intended, but they’ve managed to light a fire under these two.

Lyn: Pun intended there?

Halestorm’s “Daughters of Darkness” hits the PA, and out walk Ignis and Lightning, holding a banner saying “Welcome to FIRE Shock.” They fling the banner up in the air, and make their way down to the ring.

Gaby: Making their way to the ring, from Llanfair PG Wales, they are the team of Ignis & Lightning.... THE FIRESHOCK SISTERS!!!

The two slide in the ring, and do their signature poses for the crowd.

Lyn: Here’s an EnLightning fact for you Zack: Lightning once suplexed herself. There were no survivors. ....Who writes this stuff?

As referee Kevin Fisk is about to call for the bell, Ignis and Lightning launch a blindside attack as they dart across the ring and start hammering on Caitlyn and Mandy with forearms. But the girls manage to turn around, and start firing back with shots of their own as all four women are throwing fists. Lightning goes for a short clothesline on Mandy, who ducks it and dumps her over the top rope to the floor. The girls then join forces on Ignis with a double Irish whip into the far side. As soon as the Firebird rebounds, they scoop her up for a flapjack that plants her face down on the mat. Ignis tries to stumble to her feet until a double dropkick sends her stumbling through the ropes to the floor next to her sister. Caitlyn & Mandy get to their feet, inviting them back in as the crowd roars in approval.

Zack: Ignis and Lightning tried to jump start this match, but Caitlyn and Mandy are damn sure ready to go now! And the Leavenworth sisters aren’t starting this match as they likely planned!

Lyn: NexGen are daring them to come back and the Oakland crowd is loving every second of it!

Both Ignis and Lightning take a second to regroup and discuss a little strategy on the floor. The referee tries to get one of the members of Next Generation out of the ring. Caitlyn finally does so as Mandy keeps her eyes on both sisters as they climb back up onto the apron. Lightning steps foot into the ring for her team as Ignis tries to rally the crowd….to no effect other than boos. Mandy and Lightning look across at one another before they lock up in the center. Lightning begins to push her back into the ropes, prompting Fisk to ask for a break. The former tag champion relents...before jamming a thumb into Mandy’s eye. She quickly starts to drive right hands into the side of her head before unleashing a series of knife edge chops. It doubles Mandy over clutching her chest before Lightning uses a one handed bulldog to bring her down to the mat.

Zack: Lightning doesn’t seem to have lost a step in her time away, though I understand it’s been some time since either of the sisters have been active in the ring.

Lyn: She hasn’t lost her step or her thumb at least and there’s a bulldog off the corner.

Lightning circled around behind Mandy as she started to get up, immediately snatching her around the waist from behind to deliver one of her many suplexes. But Mandy blocked it with her foot, and used a headbutt to send the back of her head into Lightning’s nose. It rocked the Welsh beauty before Mandy used a discus punch to send her stumbling backwards. She shoved Lightning into the ropes before whipping her across for the ride, using a handspring back elbow to the side of her head to drop her to the mat. She grabbed her feet under both arms, and used a catapult to send Lightning chest first into Mandy’s corner. The brunette followed her in with a splash before making a tag to Caitlyn. The former fitness instructor tried to show Lightning up with a belly to back suplex that landed very well. Lightning rubbed her lower back as she tried to get up, complaining to the referee that suplexes were her move. It didn’t deter Caitlyn, who rebounded off the far side before leaving her feet to deliver a tornado DDT when Lightning turned to face her. She immediately hooked the outside leg for the cover as Fisk dropped to count.

Zack: I don’t think Lightning has the suplex market corner, but look at Caitlyn!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

NOOO!!

Lightning kicked out at two, causing Caitlyn to get back to her feet. As the elder Welsh beauty began to rise, Caitlyn pulled her arm and started peppering her with kicks to the body one after another. It caused Lightning to stagger backwards as Caitlyn charged forward. It looked as though she were going for a lungblower, but Lightning hooked her arms around the top rope and Caitlyn landed on the back of her head instead.

Lyn: Lightning saving herself from that lungblower and now she better get back in it. Storm is the nastiest with those kicks.

The Welsh Suplex Machine pulled herself together for a moment, and delivered a double leg drop across Caitlyn’s chest when she tried to sit up. Lightning started pounding the back of her head against the mat before jerking her back to her feet, and snapping off a release belly to belly overhead suplex. Caitlyn tried to get to the ropes, only for Lightning to pull her up again. This time, she launched her with a double underhook suplex back to the mat. She headed for the nearest corner, climbing upon to the second turnbuckle from the inside. When she came off though, Caitlyn brought her foot up and caught her on the chin. Lightning staggered and stumbled backwards as Caitlyn rolled onto her stomach and headed for the corner. Ignis tagged herself in as Caitlyn made it to Mandy before the two took off towards each other, and began throwing hands immediately!

Lyn: GRAY IN! IGNIS IN! RAILING EACH OTHER IN THE FACE AND NOT A SINGLE PUNCH BLOCKED!

Zack: They are both refreshed, and Ignis and Mandy are going at it with reckless abandon!

Mandy was starting to get the better of the exchange until Ignis caught her with a short knee to the ribs. She pulled Gray down, and began firing knees into her head repeatedly. It caused Mandy to double over, giving Ignis the opening she needed to land a DDT.  As Caitlyn rolled onto her back, Ignis delivered a spiral leg drop before going for a cover. Fisk dropped to make the count.

Lyn: Nasty flowing DDT by Ignis followed into a leg drop and there’s the cover!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Mandy kicked out after the two, prompting Ignis the begin hammering fists into her head a few times before she got back to her feet. She pulled her up and over her shoulder into a shoulder breaker across her knee. The Firebird dropped down, and immediately applied a Fujiwara armbar on the brunette.

Zack: Ignis is getting right into what she loves best, Lyn. And that’s working on arms with visions of that cross armbreaker dancing in her head, no doubt.

Lyn: The embers shall burn if she has her way, but right now she’s softening her up.

The Oakland crowd began to chant for Mandy as Ignis leaned back, trying to get as much out of the submission as she could. Fisk dropped to see if Mandy wanted to submit, but got a negative answer to that as Ignis looked to add more pressure. She shouted at her to quit, though Mandy refused to do so. The Firebird transitioned the hold into the scissored armbar (Rings of Saturn). Mandy’s face went from pained to tortured now as Ignis tried to add more torque to the hold. She was only able to keep it for a few seconds before Caitlyn entered the ring, and caught her with a stiff kick to the back. Ignis immediately let go, clutching her lower back in pain as Fisk went to escort Caitlyn out. While he did that, Ignis slapped her own hands together and rolled out of the ring just as Lightning came back inside. She immediately used a double knee drop into Mandy’s back. Fisk got Caitlyn out, and looked back with a confused expression.

Lyn: Always hated and loved that little trick Ignis pulled in my time in the ring. Caitlyn being escorted out of the ring and Mandy is agony here!

Zack: If she doesn’t find the corner soon, she’s not going to make it much longer. Her back is being punished severely, courtesy of the Fireshock Sisters.

Lightning put the boots to Mandy’s body before she pulled her back to her feet. She hoisted her up for what looked like a vertical suplex, but instead dropped her across the top rope to hang over it. With Mandy doubled over it, Lightning bounced off the near side to deliver a running neckbreaker that snapped Mandy off the ropes back to the mat. She immediately covered her as soon as she landed, and hooked the leg prior to the referee dropping to count.

Zack: That’s one hell of a setup for a neckbreaker, and Mandy’s out cold!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEE-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPE!!!

Gray managed to get her leg across the bottom rope, causing Fisk to stop the count and point it out to Lightning. The Welsh Suplex Machine didn’t look remotely happy about it, giving Mandy a headbutt to the face as a result before she got back to her feet.

Lyn: Gray’s still got some fight in here but Lightning isn’t having any of it!

Lightning told the referee he needed to count a little faster before leaning down to pull Mandy back up to her feet. She hammered a few European uppercuts that rocked her backwards into the ropes before she fired her across to the far side. Mandy rebounded quickly, ducking a clothesline before hitting the ropes again. When Lightning turned around, Mandy used the springboard into her sister’s springboard shining wizard that dropped Lightning like a sack of bricks! Gray dropped to the mat herself though, looking for her corner as Caitlyn stood on the bottom rope with her arm outstretched!

Zack: Lyn, Mandy dropped Lightning like a rock with that CANNON DRILL! And now, she needs to get to Caitlyn quick, fast, and in a hurry!

Lyn: The Oakland crowd is begging for that tag!

Mandy began to crawl towards the corner as Ignis shouted at her sister to get up. Gray finally made it as Lighting was starting to sit up and get her bearings. As soon as the tag was made to Caitlyn, the crowd came to its feet as the blonde darted into the ring. She bounced off the near side with a basement dropkick to Lightning’s chest when she sat up. Storm rolled to her feet, and charged the corner to use a standing dropkick to Ignis’ chest that sent her to the floor. The former fitness instructor got to her feet, waving Lightning to get up. The Welsh brunette began to do that just as Caitlyn darted past her. The very dazed Lightning turned the wrong way when she got up as Caitlyn left her feet, and snapped off a reverse hurricanrana that drove the top of Lightning’s head into the mat. She immediately rolled her over to make the cover. Fisk slid into position for the count.

Zack: That’s gotta be all! Lightning is colder than a mackerel! Storm’s gonna win it!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOO!!

The three never struck as Ignis broke up the count with an elbow to Caitlyn’s back. As the Firebird got back to her feet, Caitlyn popped up behind her with a thunderous look on her face.

Lyn: Ignis is about to feel the storm come down on her hard!

Before Ignis could turn around, Caitlyn executed a cobra clutch into a bulldog. The momentum sent Ignis rolling out to the floor again as Storm turned her attention back to Lightning, waving her to get up! The crowd was getting louder still as Caitlyn shouted at Lightning to get up. The Welsh brunette started to get to her feet finally before Caitlyn darted out of the corner with a headscissors takedown, quickly getting back to her feet with the crowd solidly behind her.

Lyn: Storm is literally running the table on the Fireshock Sisters, anytime they get up they’re going right back down!

Ignis climbed back onto the apron, and was about to get into the ring as Fisk went to intercept her. The Firebird tossed a chair over his shoulder into the ring towards her sister. Lightning started to rise up as Caitlyn lunged at her, looking for a spear seemingly. Mandy dropped to the floor, heading towards Ignis on the other side to get her down. Lightning used a leap frog to avoid the spear, but it also caused her to drop the chair in the process. Caitlyn tried to stop her momentum as Lightning hooked her up from behind into her full nelson….

Zack: You know what’s coming, Lyn! Wait, not on the chair!!

Lyn: Not this way damn it! NOT THIS WAY!

Lightning went for her full nelson slam, but Caitlyn countered by turning it around….and driving her into the mat with an inverted double underhook facebuster (Unprettier) onto the chair!! Caitlyn rolled on top of her, not aware the chair was even there as Fisk spun around to count.

Lyn: Fully Enlightened countered into a hell of a killswitch there and it’s lights out for Lightning!

ONE!!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

The crowd roared in approval as the referee called for the bell, prompting Mandy to roll into the ring to hug her partner. Ignis also hit the ring, yelling at the referee that Caitlyn used the chair. The blonde looked down at it with a confused look.

Zack: Isn’t that rich? Ignis is trying to get the decision overturned for that chair SHE introduced into this match!

Gaby: Here are your winners…...NEXT GENERATION!!!!

Caitlyn explained to the referee that she didn’t even know it was there as Mandy told her to ignore Ignis, and they had their hands raised by the referee since the decision was final now.

Lyn: Talk about falling on your swor--HEY WAIT NOW!!

Ignis scooped up the chair, and struck it across Caitlyn’s back. When Mandy turned, she caught it in the stomach. It caused her to double over before Lightning was back up, and delivered her full nelson slam on Mandy into the chair instead. A deafening chorus of boos followed that as the sisters raised their hands in victory.

Zack: The Fireshock Sisters outsmarted themselves tonight, and they aren’t happy about it! They didn’t win a damn thing!

Lyn: They got what they deserved and now they’re mad about it! Well deserved victory for NexGen regardless but they may not be happy with how things end here!

As trainers came to check on Next Generation as Ignis and Lightning rolled out to the floor, we cut to a commercial for Unstoppable 8.

Era of Adversity

We are cut away from the action, from the struggle of will and body to a small corner of the arena. The lights are so dim we can’t see where we are, only a few pipes seen from time to time say it’s likely the boiler room or some place in the bowels of the arena.  The first thing we see is a mask, white with curved red paint on it and a half smile. The camera panning from it to a couple lit candles seated in ceramic skulls, and up to pale face. Qilin. The prophet, the voice of the Worthy, the voice of Sunny...the raven haired woman glanced those big eyes to the camera and gave a smile.

How do you live?
How do you see?
Is it easy to judge them, or me?

Do you see the world through honest eyes?
Or do you use the fog given by the weak
Do you feel it right to be one of the sheep?

Never rest
Never sleep
Always find a place to weep

Sow your seeds
And plant your fears
Soon you will be broke, in tears

Open your eyes, free your soul
Hate what you cannot break
Say your prayers for heaven’s sake

The world is ours, believe it or not
Embrace the pain and anger, you see
Welcome to the era...of Adversity.

A face leans into view, Sunny Kyoun. She is visible just long enough to blow out the candles, we cut away from darkness.

The show heads back to the ring after we are shown the history between Andi and Casey, up to and including the water joust earlier in a video package. Gaby is already in the ring with her microphone in hand.

Gaby: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Zack: We saw what I guess you could call the preview for this earlier tonight in the water joust, but we’re about to settle it once and for all right now.

Lyn: The choir wouldn’t happen to be barred from ringside would they... No... No... Because that would be easy.

[CUE THE SOUNDCHIP! An 8-bit version of the song from the Goonies start playing as the main lights dim down in the arena, with small star spotlights in a variety of colors flying around the crowd. 8-bit stars fill the videoboards, right up until the words start and Andi Takata comes sprinting out of the back to hit her mark. ]

# GOOD -GOOD- GOOD

[Andi hops into place, already in her Magical Girl pose, with blue and white sparkling pyro popping behind her, and the videoboards all exploding into pixellated color madness! The bassline kicks in and Andi dances for a moment before she starts to head for the ring, taking her time to enjoy her 'Starlights'!]

#Here we are, Hanging onto strains of greed and blues
#Break the chain then we break down
#Oh it's not real, if you don't feel it
#Unspoken expectations
#Ideals we used to play with
#Finally taking shape for us.

[By this time, Andi has reached the ringside fans, and cues them up for the dance party!]

#What's good enough (good enough)
#For you is
#Good enough (good enough)
#For me it's good enough (good enough)
#It's good enough for me
#Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!

[And when Pacman whirrs down, Andi punches the air above her and makes her way back around the ring to get to the rest of her Starlights, before heading up the steps and into the ring....]

#goodgoodgoodgoodgood...

#Now you'll say You're startin' to feel the push.... and pull
#Of what could be and never can
#You mirror me... stumblin' through those
#Old fashioned superstitions
#I find too hard to breaaaak
#Maybe you're out of place whaaaat's

[The song builds up again, and Andi, after running the ropes by this point, stops in the middle, to rally EVERYONE up to join her in a big ol' Caramelldanse! And most do!]

#Good enough (good enough)
#For you is
#Good enough (good enough)
#For me It's good enough (good enough)
#It's good enough for me
#Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!!

[Andi runs up the turnbuckles for one last go! Keep dancing everyone!]

#Good enough (good enough)
#For you Is
#Good enough (good enough)
#For me.. It's good, it's good enough
#It's good enough for me
#Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!!!!

[Andi finally hops down as the song fades away....]

Gaby: Introducing first, representing the Burning Star Express, please welcome 2017 FFW Hall of Famer………’THE LUCKY STAR’ ANDI TAKATA!!!

Zack: You’re looking at a woman who just knocked off the Future Shock Champion in her last singles match! Takata has earned herself a title shot, but she’s got some business with the “Savior” of Future Shock coming up right now.

Lyn: The Future Shock Division will get a whole lot more cluttered if Casey wins tonight however. She’s going to get herself jumpstarted right into the conversation and I can bet that’s the last thing Andi wants on the road to trying to reclaim the title.

The arena is plunged into darkness, punctuated only by the soft, subtle, plucking of harp strings picking out the tune from the hymn “He’s Got The Whole World In His Hands” only just loud enough to be audible by the capacity crowd. As it plays a group of people start to emerge from the backstage area in the darkness, forming up in ranks on the stage quietly humming the tune as they do so. The choir finally gets all formed up on the stage in a semi-circle; the song getting louder and louder as more voices add to it only to cut suddenly as, with a fanfare of trumpets, a sudden blinding white light floods the whole building. The light narrows down to a single point high above the stage where a single figure is slowly descending from the heavens. The woman almost seems to be glowing in her bright white robes, her hair almost a flame red crown around her head. The eyes of the choir all turned towards her, singing out an awed ‘Aaaah aaaaah aaaah’ to accompany the angel’s descent only for her to become more and more recognisable as Casey Atherton the lower that she gets. As she lands in the middle of the horseshoe two members of the choir move forward to help her out of her robes, leaving her in brilliant white ring tights and smock like top. Cradling her hands together, the red haired woman begins to slowly walk down the entrance ramp; the choir following behind her as they start to sing. All the time the woman is bathed in the same bright, pure white light.

She's got the whole world in her hands
She's got the whole wide world in her hands
She's got the whole wide world in her hands
She's got the whole world in her hands

As she makes it to the ring, she extends her arms out from her body, almost in a crucifix position and two members of her choir lift her up almost reverentially onto the ring apron, while two more scurry up onto the apron and hold the ropes open for Casey to step inside the ring as the rest of the choir surround the ring, continuing to sing the song as Atherton flashes a bright smile to the crowd, circling the ring only to stop on each side of the ring and bless those in attendance.

Gaby: Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome at this time…’THE SAVIOR OF FUTURE SHOCK’ CASEY ATHERTON!!!

Casey finally returns to her corner, eyes turned to the heavens as she seems to be praying while she waits for the match to begin.

Zack: It’s been a long time since we’ve seen Casey in a FFW ring, much less Future Shock. She seems to have gone through some kind of transformation in her time away. And I wouldn’t say it was for the better, Lyn.

Lyn: ......That was terrifying.

Referee Stephen Wilson called for the bell as Andi immediately headed up to the top rope. Casey looked up from her prayer with a curious look as Andi launched herself….onto the Choir at ringside! A high cross body took out four of them as Andi began unloading with right hands all around at any of them who threatened to move. The crowd loved it! Takata hopped up onto the apron, using a running senton on those four before they could get up while Casey complained to the referee that Andi was attacking innocent people. As soon as a couple other Choir members made it around, Andi rolled back into the ring.

Lyn: Andi just wiped out a good portion of Casey’s choir and now things got a little more even!

An unhappy Casey charged towards her as she entered, trying to grab her. But Andi ducked underneath the grab, and ended up behind her. Atherton spun around into a flurry of right hands to the head that knocked her backwards into the ropes. Andi was right on top of her though, now firing stiff kicks into her body to double her over. The space alien hit the near side into a baseball slide under Casey...before firing a palm thrust into her throat. The redhead gasped for breath as she staggered backwards into the ropes, only for Takata to catch her with a discus clothesline that sent her over the top rope down onto the same Choir members Andi had laid out a moment ago.

Zack: I was a little concerned with Andi having to deal with Casey and the Choir, but she’s taking them all on! Casey just got dumped onto her missionaries over there!

Lyn: Andi is making the numbers game work for her, not against her... She won’t be brought down low, after experiencing them earlier with the Water Joust.

Andi pounded her fists onto the mat, getting a loud response from the crowd. The Choir began to surround Casey to protect her and help her back to her feet. But that didn’t stop Andi as she darted for the far side, and rebounded quickly with a plancha over the top rope to take down some of the Choir and Casey again. The two left standing caught superkicks to the jaw before Andi pulled Casey up, and threw her back into the ring. Takata slid in after them as Casey slid back with her hand up, asking for some forgiveness.

Lyn: She’s... Asking for forgiveness. I don’t suppose she’ll be offering tithes next.

Zack: Unlikely, to say the least. Andi’s obviously still in high gear after that fiasco we saw earlier in the pool.

Andi only pounded one fist against her chest as Casey started back to her feet, and immediately went to the ropes to get out of the ring. But she got caught from behind with a rear waistlock until Andi began to pound forearms across her back and then drag her back into the ring. Casey tried to grab the rope, only to get snared and dropped with a Russian leg sweep before Andi rolled on top of her for a round of mounted punches. The Oakland crowd was roaring in approval as Takata rolled back to her feet. The referee warned her about the punches as Casey darted for the ropes a second time. And again, Andi went to stop her...only to get a mule kick from Casey between her legs as the referee was trying to get one member of the Choir off the apron. It was enough to stop Andi’s momentum, causing her to crumble to her knees in pain.

Zack: A low blow from Casey managed to put a stop to Andi for the time being. And if Atherton knows what she’s doing, she better stay on top of her!

Lyn: I would like to believe that in all her searching for religion, Casey got in a few tapes to watch how Takata operates ring-wise.

Casey gathered herself, turning back around catching Andi with a shining wizard to the back of her head. It sent the alien over as Casey began to drop elbows into her back and neck furiously to keep her down. The redhead got back to her feet, pulling Andi up with her into a fireman’s carry. She dropped her back first across her knee, only to stand up and do it twice more. A fallaway slam followed that, sending Andi to the mat in a heap. Casey crawled over to her, planting a knee into her back before pulling her head up with a chinlock at the same time.

Lyn: Seated chinlock here and now Atherton is forcing the Space Princess to wrestle her way, at her pace.

Zack: That’s what Casey has to do. She has to make the pace her own, because Andi will run circles around her if she tries to beat her at her own game.

Referee Stephen Wilson dropped down in front of Andi, looking for a submission as the space princess was being bent backwards with Casey’s knee planted in her lower back. But Andi showed no signs of wanting to quit, while Casey leaned back to try to get more out of the hold. The crowd was loudly supportive of Takata though, chanting her name as Casey transitioned from her hold now into a standing surfboard submission. Her foot was planted into Andi’s back now as Casey pulled back on her arms at the same time. Wilson checked again for the submission, but Andi seemed defiant about not quitting.

Zack: Casey’s really working on Andi’s back very well here, trying to take some of the fire out of the Hall of Famer. Plus Casey can keep this on all night, it requires little energy and gives her time to think about her next move.

Lyn: Damaging the back especially leaves options like the Goongala or the Casey-plex open for later.

Wilson asked again for the submission, but Andi continued to say no to the question. Casey delivered a hard stomp into Andi’s back before trying to press her foot deeper into it in the surfboard. Andi’s face showed obvious agony as Casey pulled back on her arms. But the redhead looked to be getting impatient with Andi not submitting. So she let go of the hold, and bounced off the near side with a double stomp into her lower back. It caused Andi to clutch her back in pain as Casey looked down to the Choir, all of whom were showing their support. It was her turn to head for the corner, climbing up onto the second turnbuckle from the inside. She waved for Andi to get up with both arms, which Takata began to do very slowly with an obviously sore back. When she rose with her back to Casey, the redhead launched with a precise missile dropkick into her lower back that put her down on her knees. Casey quickly used a standing sidekick to the side of her head to send her all the way down on the canvas before she floated across for a cover.

Zack: A sidekick right to the ear! Andi may have just gotten knocked into next week, and Casey’s looking for the win!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Andi kicked out after the two. Casey looked down with disappointment at her, telling her she forgave her. She rose back to her feet, and went for a double leg drop. But Andi rolled away from her, and she hit the mat all on her own!

Lyn: Andi had it scouted and was not about to let herself get caught there!

It clearly stunned Casey, while the crowd was trying to will Andi back to her feet. The alien princess used the ropes to help her get up as Casey was rising as well. The redhead raised her fists up for a double axe handle blow, but Andi surprised her coming in with a headbutt to the stomach. A second one followed that before Andi got back to her feet finally. Casey went for the axe handle shot again, only for Andi to catch her coming in with a lungblower that bounced Atherton off the ropes to a faceplant on the mat. Takata’s face tensed in pain as she tried to get up again.

Lyn: The damage on the back of Andi is showing but she’s wrestling through the pain there and excellent counter of the double axe handles especially with that double knee backbreaker.

Zack: The Hall of Famer is showing us part of what has made her the ultra successful woman she’s been in this business. She hurts like hell, but she’s not gonna stop!

Andi and Casey made it to their feet about the same time, with Atherton lunging to grab her. But the alien deflected her, and ended up behind her. She grabbed her into a side Russian leg sweep, but drilled her face down into the mat in a reverse of the hold. Takata made it to her feet again, heading for the corner this time. She slowly made it to the top rope as Casey was trying to get to her hands and knees. When Atherton was finally vertical, Andi launched herself into a blockbuster that dropped Casey...but it also made Andi shout in pain when she landed on her back. She rolled over, throwing an arm across Casey’s chest for the cover. Wilson slid into position to make the count.

Zack: Andi with a blockbuster! But she may have hurt herself more in the execution. Could this be the end of Casey’s night?

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Casey got her shoulder up in time, causing Andi to crawl away and get back to her feet in the corner. She leaned over a moment, her back clearly bothering her as Casey was slow moving as well.

Lyn: Both women are on fumes right now, seemingly not having much left in the tank...

Atherton slowly pushed up to her feet, only to turn into a superkick from Andi to the chin! It sent her back into the ropes, and into another superkick before the “Savior” collapsed to the mat. The crowd erupted as Andi lunged across her for the cover.

Zack: Two superkicks right on the button!! Andi’s got this right now!

But no count was forthcoming, causing the crowd to chant as the cameras spotted the Choir on the apron keeping the referee occupied. Andi glanced around for the official, the crowd count turning to boos now.

Zack: The damn Choir is at it again! Andi has this won, as far as I’m concerned!

Andi got back to her feet, and went to get the official as someone in orange crawled out from under the ring. As soon as the crowd spotted her, they erupted again to see an orange ninja…..with a flail in her hand.

Lyn: 4 LOKO APPEARS AGAIN! I tell you, one minute Andi’s gotta fight off an Ayano and the next minute she’s got one watching her back!

4 Loko Ayano began to swing the flail, catching one of the Choir in the back with it and causing him to drop to the floor. She began to swing the spiked ball on a chained stick, aiming for heads as Casey’s choir began to scatter. All of them took off towards the ramp as 4 Loko Ayano walked them down, swinging the flail over her head as she followed them. Andi had a smile on her face, seeing the Choir getting chased out of the arena.

Lyn: The choir is out of here and Andi can now focus entirely on Atherton thanks to our resident ninja security!

Casey began to rise to her feet before Andi went to grab her. But Atherton shoved her off, only for Andi to slip behind her instead. When the redhead turned around, Andi grabbed her head and dropped her with her cutter!

Zack: SPACE CRUSHER!!!!

She immediately went for the cover, hooking both legs as tightly as she could in the process. Wilson dropped to count.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Wilson called for the bell as Andi sat up on her knees with a smile on her face. The official raised her hand in victory as she began to rise to her feet.

Gaby: Here is your winner……….’THE LUCKY STAR’ ANDI TAKATA!!!

Lyn: Andi walks out of here tonight without having to add to FS contention and another victory in her pocket. In the battle between science and religion, capitalism has won!

Andi headed for the ropes, climbing onto the bottom one to raise her hand to a pop from the crowd. The fans roared in approval as she told them she wanted her title back now!

Zack: Well if that doesn’t make it clear where Andi sees her future, nothing else will! Takata’s letting us know that the Future Shock title is on the radar all over again after a wild match with Casey!

Lyn: Whether it's Cereza or Bianca, Andi is coming hunting like Anna!

Andi rolled out to the floor, celebrating with the fans as we cut to a commercial for the merchandise website.

Ask the Lioness

We head back to the ring after the short commercial, where we find a plush red carpet covering the mat and Sara standing by with a microphone in her hand.

Sara: Ladies and gentlemen, tonight you will get to interact with a woman who will be here with us in this ring tonight. She will be part of the big UK show at the O2 Arena in London on June 13th. And she has offered to let all of you ask her questions. Please welcome….ELIZABETH LANNISTER!

As the fans sit in their seats in anticipation of what is to come, they are greeted by the somewhat subtle opening riff of ‘Massive Addictive’ by Amaranthe. A few seconds pass before the son kicks into full gear, thus signaling the arrival of Elizabeth Lannister from behind the curtains and out onto the stage. She pauses for a second to look to her left and to her right at the fans, who are voicing their displeasure upon the sight of the SSWA star. She simple shakes her head and begins to head down the ramp towards the ring. Once she reaches the ring, she climbs up the steel steps and onto the apron, stepping through the bottom and middle ropes. Once she is inside the ring, she flips her hair over her shoulders and sticks her arms out to the sides and slowly spins around, a confident smirk etched on her angelic features. Once she finishes her spin, she glances around at the crowd once more as she stands in the middle of the ring, the music beginning to fade out.

Sara: Elizabeth, welcome to Future Shock Destiny!

Elizabeth: Trust me, the pleasure is all yours, I’m sure.

Sara: I understand you have your own person who will be letting this crowd address you. Let’s see if we can find her.

The camera cuts to a very mousy looking blonde, totally unremarkable in appearance..with index cards in her hand.

Sara: I understand her name is Jenny. So while Jenny finds her first fan to ask you a question, we’ll--

Sara is cut off as Jenny interrupts her.

Jenny: I think we have our first question, Sara.

Jenny is seen standing next to a rather portly woman, who looks at the girl with a curious expression as she shoves a card into her hand. The portly fan looks down to read it as Jenny holds out the microphone.

Fan: Uh...Miss Lannister, what is it like to wake up and be the…..what’s that word...oh, devastatingly beautiful woman that we can all see you are?

The crowd already begins to turn at that question as Jenny jerks the microphone away and starts moving again. Sara looks a little skeptical but holds the microphone for Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: What's it like to wake up and be me? The answer is quite simple…..it’s amazing. They say that beauty is only skin deep. They clearly haven’t met someone like me before.

Sara was about to respond to that when Jenny cut her off again. She’d found another fan, this one a man in his late 50s with graying hair. Jenny shoved the card into his hand, as he looked down to read it.

Fan: Miss Lannister, my wife ...is a hideous wildebeest compared to you….

He looks back at Jenny, then to the woman sitting beside him before he continues reading his card.

Fan: I was wondering what kind of shot does a …..piece of scum on your heel like me have with a woman like you?

Even louder booing now as Jenny jerked the microphone away, and resumed walking through the crowd. Sara’s eyes widened as she heard this, and looked back to Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Not a chance in hell. I have impossibly high standards, thank you very much.

Sara: Not to be rude, but these questions don’t really seem like--

Jenny: Ahem! We have one last one here from...this chick.

The third fan was a girl in what looked to be in her mid 20s. She was also in very good shape. Jenny showed her an index card, which she looked at with a shake of her head.

Fan: I’m not asking---

Jenny jerked the microphone back to speak.

Jenny: She’s so shy. The question she was wanting to ask you, Miss Lannister, was what could any woman do to come close to matching your classical beauty?

The boos in the crowd were exceptionally loud now as Sara looked away from Elizabeth, rolling her eyes as she held the microphone for her to speak. The stunning blonde simply smirks and shakes her head.

Elizabeth: Plastic surgery and reincarnation.

The boos only continued to grow in volume before Sara finally shook her head, and took over the interview.

Sara: Well I think we’re about out of time for this ….Q&A of yours. So to close out, why don’t you tell us what you have in store for the Invasion show on June 13th in London.

Elizabeth fixes Sara with a slightly murderous gaze, appalled that she would dare interrupt her.

Elizabeth: What you….

She points a well manicured finger at Sara.

Elizabeth: ...and the rest of the roster and fans alike are going to see come June 13th is a show. Not just because you get to see Anna Giovanna get her long awaited shot at the Future Shock title, but you also get to see me in action. Given the fact that it has taken me being INVITED here as well as competing elsewhere to be put in matches other than tag team or Trios matches…

She says with disdain in her voice, clearly showing her growing irritation.

Elizabeth: Then you people are going to see just why there is more to me than supermodel looks. Mark my damn words.

As she finishes with more than a little booing still rumbling through the arena, we cut to a commercial for that very show in London.

The show heads back to the ring, where once again Gabrielle Crimson awaits with her microphone and a bright smile on her face.

Gaby: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the ASPIRE RING!

Zack: I’ve been looking forward to this one, Lyn. We’re about to see two women who have nothing but respect for one another, no bad blood here. Just two Future Shock fan favorites about to collide for the privilege of having the Aspire Ring.

Lyn: This is a welcome change of pace in this pay-per-view as it has only been bad blood from jump off to now.

As Seven Notes in Black by the Vince Tempera Orchestra begins to play, Harley Shannon appears on the stage wearing a leather jacket over her ring attire, with her tied up in a bun, held in place with a pair of chopsticks. Harley stands quietly in the spotlight as the song stops playing.

Gaby: Weighing in at 122 lbs, standing 5’6” tall and coming from Hanover, New Hampshire...HARLEY SHANNON!!!

After a couple of moments of silence the song starts up once more - with a more eerie tone and at that moment Harley starts off down the ramp, shedding her leather jacket before reaching back and pulling the chopsticks out of her hair and shaking her head to let her bright, flame red hair fall down around her shoulders. As she got to the bottom of the ramp, the girl picked out a young fan at ringside, giving the chopsticks to the fan before she slides into the ring and pops to her feet. Heading for the corner, Harley climbs to the middle rope, throwing her hands up in the air to get cheers from the fans before she drops back down to the canvas and waits for the match to begin.

Zack: The last time we saw Harley Shannon in the ring, she was going toe to toe with Sunny in an absolutely barnburner of a match. She earned her shot tonight when she defeated Ji-Hu Myeong at our last Future Shock Pay Per View, Whiplash.

Lyn: Now all she has to do to snag that ring is go through one more opponent... The Ring Bearer proper!

“Let's take you back to the concrete streets!
Original beats with real live mc's!
Playground tactics!
No rabbit in a hat tricks!”

Gaby: Her opponent from Sheerness, England... “OLD SCHOOL” GILLIE BARNES!!

Gillie comes out to no music behind her, but that’s because she comes with an old school looking boombox i.e. ghetto blaster on her left shoulder as well as her ring gear and a large piece of cardboard in her right hand. The boombox plays a loud rendition of “Concrete Schoolyard” by Jurassic 5 as she continues walking down the ramp. Gillie puts down the cardboard and the boombox before doing a backspin dance move on the cardboard. With a grin she kips up and rolls into the ring to the warm reaction of the crowd. She hangs on the ropes as she waves before doing some last moment stretches.

Zack: Gillie Barnes is bringing back old school every time she steps into the ring. And I have no doubt in my mind that she’s been tape watching for days on end preparing for this match, Lyn.

Lyn: Some wrestlers call themselves students of the game. Barnes seems to have taken it literally from day one.

Gillie hands the Aspire Ring to senior referee Jennifer Stringer, who places it into her pocket before she calls for the bell. The fans in Oakland are pretty well split down the middle as dueling chants for both girls are heard. The two meet in the center to shake hands before they lock up in the center of the ring. Gillie shows a power advantage early as she pushes Harley back into the ropes. Stringer calls for a break, which Gillie gives immediately before they lock up again. This time, Harley tries to put some more muscle behind it as they roll along the ropes still tied up until Gillie gets stuck in the corner. The referee calls for another break, but Gillie starts to push Harley backwards out of the corner...still in the collar and elbow tie up. Barnes started to push her back into the ropes again, but never made it as Harley surprised her with a knee to the midsection to finally break the grip. A couple more followed that before she stood her up, and delivered a knife edge chop across her chest. Barnes grunted on impact before Harley backed her into the corner. Another chop followed that before she whipped her across to the far side. Gillie connected back first with the far corner as Harley darted in after her, leaving her feet for a headscissors takedown right into a double leg drop across the back of her head when she tried to get up.

Zack: That may have been the longest collar and elbow tie up I’ve seen in awhile, but Shannon got the better of it with the aide of her quickness advantage.

Lyn: It almost feels strange that all that’s driving this match is competitive spirit. Impressive headscissor takedown there.

As Gillie tried to get up to her hands and knees again, Harley dropped an elbow into the back of her neck. With great precision, she drove a second one to put her down on the mat as she began to grind that elbow into her neck for added effectiveness. She pressed her head to the mat, and kicked out to deliver a pair of knee drops to the same spot. As she reached across seemingly to apply a crossface, Gillie scampered towards the ropes. Harley let go immediately and backed away as Gillie got to her feet. The brunette held the back of her neck, heading back towards Harley again. But Shannon caught her coming in with a kick to the gut, it stunned her long enough to drop her with a swinging neckbreaker to the mat. Shannon immediately applied a rear chinlock after Gillie tried to sit up.

Zack: Harley’s really made a focal point of working on Gillie’s neck, no doubt looking to soften her up for that neck crank submission she calls the Harley Headlock.

Lyn: She’s playing the long game, you can’t take that away from her. Snap swinging neckbreaker and then a rest hold for good measure, wrestling the pace she wants to.

Harley kept her hands cupped with her knee firmly planted in Gillie’s lower back, causing the Sheerness native’s face to show the pain she was feeling. At one point, Harley held her chin with one hand and began to rain forearms across her chest with the other arm before using both hands again. Barnes started to turn into her, causing her to transition it into a side headlock as they got to their feet. Gillie tried to shoot her off into the ropes, but Shannon put her foot against the middle rope to stop her progress. But as soon as she did, Gillie surprised her with a snap suplex that planted her on her back. Barnes rolled away from her to her knees, still feeling the effects of Harley’s offense on her neck as she rubbed it with her hand.

Lyn: Barnes hitting an excellent suplex there but the damage she’s had done to her neck by Harley causing her to think twice on what sort of offense she can use. That suplex might have hurt Harley but looks to have done a bit more damage to GIllie’s neck on top of it.

Zack: Not surprised by that in the least, Lyn. It’s hard to connect with too many moves that don’t have some kind of impact on your neck. Every time Gillie executes something on Harley, she gets a reminder of that.

As Shannon started to get up, Gillie wasted no time in pressing the attack as she lunged forward with a hard kneelift into her head that rocked her backwards. Barnes unloaded with two discus elbows to the jaw that sent Shannon into the ropes. She immediately followed after her, snatching her by the arm and sending her across for the ride. Harley tried to use a leap frog to hop over her, but Gillie didn’t duck and snatched her out of the air into a spinebuster. Harley bounced off the mat with the impact, while Gillie got back to her feet. It was clear her neck was still bothering her though, but she didn’t let it stop her. As Shannon started to rise, Gillie scooped her up over one shoulder and darted out with a running powerslam to the canvas.

Zack: Gillie is bringing that decided power advantage to bear right here, and Harley’s back is getting one hell of a stress test as the Aspire Ring bearer is definitely in charge.

Lyn: She calls that running powerslam the BUMP!

Barnes got back to her feet, watching as Harley began to do the same seconds later. When she did, Gillie snapped her arms around her waist and applied a bear hug. The orange haired beauty’s face was wracked with pain as Gillie had her hands locked tightly behind her. The referee moved around to see if she wanted to submit, but Harley shook her head despite the clear and obvious agony she was feeling. Gillie lifted her off the mat, and shook her a bit before letting her drop back to her feet still locked in the hold.

Lyn: A... Very traditional bear hug, squeezing the life out of Harley and her ribs and back to boot. So much damage being done here.

Zack: Gillie’s showing those old school chops she patterns herself after, doing more damage to Harley’s back but also giving herself a little time possibly to think of her next offensive.

The cameras could see Gillie’s muscles in her arms flexing as she was trying to tighten the grip she already had. The referee asked again, only to get another shake of the head from Harley. Gillie then lifted her off her feet as she leaned back, letting Shannon’s feet dangle as she squeezed as tightly as she could. Another check with the referee saw her shake her head again...only it took a moment longer this time than it had before.

Lyn: She is... Really wrenching in that bear hug. You hardly see anyone make use of that move these days.

Zack: I think the only other person I see execute it with any frequency would be Isis. You have to have some considerable strength to be able to get the most effectiveness out of it.

Harley’s face seemed to be getting more and more pained as Gillie arched back, trying to get more pressure in the hold. Another check by the referee, still no. But this time, Harley tried to push Gillie’s head backwards, and then connect with an elbow to the face. It staggered Gillie for a moment, but not enough to let go before Harley did it a second time. Barnes let her drop to her feet, clearly dazed after both shots. The brunette fired her across to the far side, and seemed to be going for a pop up….only for Harley to surprise her with a hurricanrana into a roll up seemingly out of nowhere. Stringer dropped to count.

Zack: Where’d that come from?! Shannon spiked her, and she may snatch this away right now!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

T-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Gillie kicked out after the two, causing Harley to roll forwards off the cover. As Shannon tried to get back to her feet with her back in serious pain, Gillie snatched her up from behind and sent her flying with a belly to back suplex. The Aspire Ring holder tried to collect her wits as Harley laid on the mat.

Lyn: That suplex was out of sheer desperation for Barnes and she’s struggling to pull herself up off the mat.

Gillie finally got back to her feet as Harley was trying to do the same. Barnes delivered a low dropkick into her back as she sat up, causing her to lurch forward. When Harley straightened up, Gillie dropped to all fours. The crowd recognized it instantly! Harley rolled to her hands and knees to get up herself before Gillie scampered across with a headbutt. It rocked Harley long enough for Gillie to scamper on all fours a couple more feet, and do it a second time. That sent Harley into the ropes. Barnes hopped back to her feet as Harley tried to use the ropes to get up. She planted her head between her legs, and brought her up for what looked like a powerbomb. But Shannon countered into a sunset flip for the cover! Stringer dropped to count immediately!

Lyn: Barnes is trying to master that particular powerbomb but once again her opponent has it scouted. She goes to slow with it, and Shannon saw it coming from a mile away.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Gillie broke the cover by clapping her legs together around Harley’s head, disorienting her. The brunette rolled to her feet, measuring her and catching her solidly with a running knee trembler to the head when she tried to get up. She then flipped her over, and applied a Boston crab.

Zack: Harley’s almost stolen this one more than once, but Gillie’s managed to avoid those surprises. And now this Boston crab in the heart of Oakland isn’t going to help Shannon’s back problems at all.

Stringer moved back down in front of Harley to check for the submission as Gillie leaned back with both legs tightly grasped, trying to add as much pressure as she could to Harley’s back. But Shannon still refused to quit, though the torture on her back was obvious by the look on her face. The referee checked again after a few seconds, still getting a negative response before she realized how close she was to the ropes and reached out to grab them. Stringer immediately called for the break, which Gillie gave her. Barnes got back to her feet, and moved towards the corner as though she were measuring for something. Harley crawled towards the corner, and used the ropes to help her get to her feet. When she did and turned around, Gillie sprinted from the next corner towards her. Whatever she had in mind though wasn’t meant to be when she left her feet, because Harley caught her coming in and lifted her up for a stun gun...onto the top turnbuckle! Gillie’s head ricocheted off the corner before Harley grabbed both of her arms into a backslide for the pin! Stringer slid into position to count.

Zack: That could be a KNOCKOUT right there! Shannon with the backslide, she’s got the Ring right here!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOOPE!!

Gillie got her arm free, and rolled away from the backslide as a result. She collapsed onto her back on the mat as Harley sat slumped over herself, trying to summon her reserves.

Lyn: Vicious Snake Eyes there and Barnes might be seeing stars there.

It was likely no surprise that it was Harley who began to get back to her feet first, very shakily though thanks to her back. She took off towards the ropes, and rebounded quickly into a standing splash on top of the brunette. Harley got back up again, stumbling a bit as she was having a hard time standing up straight. She headed towards the nearest corner, and began to head towards the top rope very slowly. It gave Gillie enough time to come up behind her, and hoist her onto her shoulders as she stood up. Harley’s eyes widened when she realized it, but it was too late when Gillie fell backwards with an electric chair to the canvas! She immediately rolled over, collapsing forward to drop an arm across her chest for the cover as the referee went to count.

Lyn: Electric Chair Drop and down Shannon goes!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

Harley managed to get her shoulder up in time before the three, causing Gillie to roll over onto her back to try to get her second wind. Her face tensed as soon as she was on her back, thanks to Harley’s offense throughout the match.

Zack: If Harley’s back hadn’t been as hurt as it was, she might have made it to the top rope faster. But that electric chair from Gillie was absolutely devastating! Now both women are exhausted!

Barnes finally seemed to find her second wind, and began to sit up. She looked over her shoulder with some respect towards her opponent, thanks to her toughness. The “Old School” buff got to her feet, pulling Harley back up with her. She dragged her towards the corner, shoving her into it chest first before she lowered her shoulder and began to drive shoulder thrusts into it. Six connected before she sat her on the top rope facing the crowd, and then crawled up behind her. She grabbed her around the waist, and went to throw her with a belly to back suplex. But Harley held on to the top turnbuckle, and Gillie landed on the back of her head and neck.

Lyn: Oof... Barnes is gonna be feeling that one in the morning and here comes Harley to follow up!

With about half the crowd solidly behind her, Harley climbed to her feet on the top rope. She looked between her legs to see Gillie holding the back of her head and neck. And with little regard for herself, Harley launched herself into a shooting star press that ignited the crowd. She immediately hooked the leg as the crowd came to its feet!

Zack: SHOOTING STAR PRESS! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

Gillie got her leg across the bottom rope as the three was centimeters from the mat. Harley looked up to be sure, with the referee confirming just a two count. Shannon dragged Gillie from the corner towards the center of the ring.

Lyn: Ring awareness by Gillie and Harley is being forced to drag her back to the middle of the squared circle.

She immediately sat Gillie up, and applied her neck crank submission on the Sheerness native. The crowd rose again, watching as Stringer dropped in front of the Aspire Ring holder. Barnes tried to reach for the ropes, but Harley wasn’t budging. Gillie’s neck was in agony as she tried twice more to make the ropes, all the while the referee asking her again and again. Finally though, she tapped the mat and Stringer called for the bell!

Lyn: HARLEY HEADLOCK!! THAT’S IT!

Harley released the hold, and collapsed to a seat on the mat next to Gillie. She looked down at her, helping her to sit up and giving her a hug as the crowd roared in approval.

Gaby: Ladies and gentlemen, here is your winner…..AND NEW ASPIRE RING BEARER…...HARLEY SHANNON!!!!

Zack: That was a clinic, folks! These two women left it all in the ring at Destiny, no bad blood and no malice! It was out of pure respect, and I think they respect even more now.

The fans gave both women applause as the referee handed Harley the Aspire Ring. Shannon looked down at it with a smile, sliding it back onto her finger as she got to her feet. She offered Gillie a hand to get up, which she took before they shook hands once again. Gillie raised her hand in victory just like the referee was doing.

Lyn: Damn that’s a sign of respect there, Zack. Harley may just be our first Prospect champion yet.

Zack: It wouldn’t surprise me. She and Gillie left everything they had in the ring, and tonight Harley was the better woman. I wouldn’t mind seeing these two go at it again.

Harley thrust her fist in the air with the Aspire Ring on it, bringing an exhausted smile to her face as we head to a commercial for Unstoppable 8.

The show heads back to the ring for the last time as a spotlight shines over Gaby’s head in the darkened arena.

Gaby: The following contest is your main event, and it is for the FFW Future Shock Championship!!

The lights come back up from there with the crowd buzzing with anticipation.

Zack: This is what every woman in Future Shock wants to experience, to be in the main event challenging for the biggest prize in the brand!

Lyn: If the challenger has her way tonight, she won’t be coming into any of these main events except as champion from here on in.

As the lights dim down to show off a strobe effect on the stage “Death By Glamour” plays over the PA system as a silhouette rises from underneath the stage, making a seductive pose until the platform is level with the stage. The spotlights shine down to reveal the figure to be Cereza, who breaks the pose and waves out to the crowd before she struts down the ramp towards the ring.

Gaby: Making her way to the ring, from Liverpool, England...CEREZA!

As Cereza reaches the ring she stops in front of the apron, bringing her leg up high and stretching it out onto the mat. Then after grabbing the bottom rope she hops up to bring her other leg on for a split that allows the former stripper to slide under the ropes. Slowly and seductively she rises from the mat, standing in the middle of the ring to do a short kick dance before heading to her corner to rally the crowd behind her as she waits for the bell.

Zack: Could tonight be the night Cereza finally captures the title she’s been chasing for months? A lot has been made of the fact this is her third shot, maybe the third time will be the charm tonight in Oakland!

Lyn: It would tell the ultimate story of triumph for this young woman... A dream come true but when you speak about the champion you speak about someone who loves snuffing those same dreams by the dozen.

A weather warning siren goes off, and smoke starts filling up the top of the ramp. The big screen shows a massive cloud coming down to land, forming a cone that, those who live in tornado areas will identify, can only mean bad times coming. But this smoke atop the ramp, it's not coming peacefully: it's invading the top stage really quick, with the help of a ramping gust of air that starts getting a bit violent. With the whole center stage taken by smoke, the gust coming from the main entrance is aggressive enough to lift a smaller person off the ground, as "Skylines" by D.i.N Beats hits the PA. But when the smoke dissipates, standing strong with her back turned to the violent wind and with the FFW Future Shock Championship belt held up high is the Typhoon herself, Bianca Salvador, in her teal, black and white attire, arms out and hair flying into her face, as the crowd boos her violently.

Gaby: And her opponent, from Porto Alegre, Brazil... The REIGNING AND DEFENDING FFW Future Shock Champion... BIANCA SALVADOR!

Step by step, Bianca treks down the entrance ramp ignoring the booing fans, eventually getting out of the wind zone so she can adjust her hair right before rolling into the ring. Once there, she climbs a turnbuckle and just stares at the booing audience, showing her championship off and shaking her head at their negative reception before jumping back down to the mat and finally smiling upon meeting her opponent for the night.

Zack: At Whiplash, that woman right there became the Future Shock Champion in a ladder match against Mallory Bennett. This will be her first defense, and she--what is she doing?!

Instead of handing off to referee Jennifer Stringer, Bianca charges across the ring and blasts it upside Cereza’s head as she was looking out at the crowd. The blonde bludgeoned her with the title repeatedly as the referee tried to pull her off, not that Bianca was paying her attention at all. Shot after shot with the title connected, till she finally drove Cereza to the canvas. Salvador dropped the title on the mat, and pulled Cereza up and right back into a piledriver onto the championship. The referee pulled her away finally as Bianca snatched her title with her first.

Zack: The bell hasn’t rung to start this match, and the Future Shock Champion has already done her damage! Cereza got blasted with that title, and the piledriver didn’t help matters!

Lyn: If I tried to pretend this was a surprise, I’d be a liar.Bianca Salvador has proven that if there’s a shortcut, just point her in the direction.

Bianca raised her title overhead to a chorus of boos from the crowd as the referee dropped down to check on Cereza. She had a cut over her right eye where the title struck her, causing it to begin bleeding. The referee asked her if she wanted to continue. Cereza told her to ring the bell, defiant that she wasn’t going to let this stop her. Though it was clear she was a little dazed after the attack. The referee asked a second time, only to get the same answer before she reluctantly took the title from Bianca and raised it above her head. She called for the bell from there as Cereza was trying to get back to her feet.

Lyn: Already Cereza is bloodied and might even be slightly concussed... And the ref barely wants to even start the match!

Zack: Cereza’s refusing to let this chance slip by, she’ll fight as long as she is conscious. But that may not last long eitehr!

She didn’t make it though as Bianca went right back on the attack, darting across towards her with a running kneelift to the face as she was trying to stand. The “Typhoon” unloaded with forearms to her head one after another, and then scooped Cereza up onto her shoulder before she darted across the ring. A snake eyes struck Cereza hard, and as she collapsed to the mat, the cameras noticed there was no turnbuckle pad in Bianca’s corner!

Zack: Where the hell did the turnbuckle pad go? Bianca must have taken it off during the referee’s discussion with Cereza! And it’s opened up that gash over her right eye a lot more!

Lyn: Irritates the hell out of me. The woman can obviously go with the best of ‘em but she just does everything in her power to use chicanery.

Stringer immediately read Bianca the riot act for the missing turnbuckle pad, only for Salvador to tell her to disqualify her. When Stringer didn’t, Bianca shoved her aside and pulled Cereza up to her feet. She backed her against the corner, and crawled up to the middle turnbuckle to drive straight right hands into the cut over Cereza’s right eye. She nailed her seven times in a row before she grabbed her head, and came off with a bulldog to the canvas. Salvador rolled her onto her back, and laid across her for the cover. Stringer dropped to count, not looking happy at all.

Zack: This could be over right now!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

T-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Cereza kicked out after the two, prompting Bianca to shrug her shoulders as she got back to her feet. The champion measured and delivered a knee drop into Cereza’s head. Salvador then raked her boot across it, causing the challenger to cover her face in pain.

Lyn: Falling knee drop and the champion is trying to open that wound up bigger. She won’t be happily until Cereza is leaking like a sieve.

Bianca enjoyed herself, mocking Cereza by asking her if this was her dream still. Ithavoll started to rise to her feet before Salvador tossed her through the ropes to the floor. The brunette landed hard as Bianca told the referee to begin her count. Cereza was slow moving, her head dripping blood over her eye. At three though, she was back to her feet and climbing onto the apron….until Bianca caught her with a clothesline that sent her back to the floor in heap. Salvador told the referee to count again with a highly amused expression on her face.

Zack: Bianca won’t let her back in the ring, she’s having a great time in there though! Salvador keeps telling Stringer to count her out, but Cereza keeps getting up!

Lyn: She’s having the absolute time of her life. She barely seems to regard Cereza as even a challenger. The disrespect.

The referee made it to six this time before Cereza started to pull herself back onto the apron. She wiped some of the blood out of her eye to help her see better when Bianca charged her again. This time, the champion went for a second clothesline but Cereza grabbed her head and dropped down to the floor, causing Bianca’s neck to snap against the top rope. The champion staggered backwards, trying to breathe as Cereza climbed back into the ring to a pop from the crowd. When Bianca staggered in her direction. Cereza caught her with a running European uppercut that sent Bianca ricocheting into the corner before she slumped to a seat against it!

Lyn: Big time european uppercut and Salvador turned into a human pinball for a second... Sorry, Carys.

The crowd began to get much louder now as Cereza stopped a moment to collect herself before making a beeline for Bianca. She began to unload with right hands to the head, and then snapped her arms around her waist for a belly to belly suplex to the mat. The challenger wiped her face again, trying to clear her vision as Bianca started to rise once more. As the champion tried to get away from her, Cereza used the middle rope for a springboard into a dropkick to her back. It stumbled the “Typhoon” forward a few feet, allowing Cereza room to move before she took off for the far side and returned with a discus clothesline that clobbered the champion.

Zack: Cereza’s having significant trouble seeing out of that right eye, because the blood doesn’t stop flowing into it! But she’s doing pretty well with just one, and Bianca just got mowed down!

Lyn: Adrenaline. You would be surprised the amount of beatings you can get... And more likely give on adrenaline.

Cereza scooped up Bianca’s feet under her arms, looking back to the exposed turnbuckle and seemingly asking the crowd if she should use it. To no one’s surprise, the Oakland crowd got much louder as they wanted to see Cereza catapult her into it.

Lyn: The whole Oakland crowd wanting to see Cereza get her head busted open.

The crowd made it clear as Cereza fell backwards, catapulting Bianca into the corner. She didn’t head first first, but right in the chest with a thud. Cereza rolled to her feet, snapped her arms around her waist and delivered three rolling German suplexes that the crowd also enjoyed. She quickly rolled over to make the cover, hooking the leg in the process as Stringer dropped to count.

Zack: Bianca caught it right in the solar plexus, and three rolling German suplexes may be the ticket to Future Shock gold!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THRE-NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

Bianca rolled her shoulder before the three. Cereza sat up on her knees, once more trying to wipe the crimson from her eye. Bianca began to try to crawl away from her as the challenger rose back to her feet. Cereza went to grab her again, only for Bianca to turn into her with a discus elbow right into the gash that dropped Cereza to her knees and let Bianca lean against the ropes to collect herself.

Lyn: Bianca wanting no part of her challenger, but then out of nowhere with the discus elbow and catching Cereza off guard!

When the challenger tried to get up, Bianca raked her boot laces across Cereza’s face to make the wound worse. It caused the brunette to clutch her face in pain as the Future Shock Champion pressed Cereza’s face against her knee...and stomped the mat. It sent the brunette backwards again, clutching her face in pain before Bianca bounced off the near side ropes to come back with an overdrive neckbreaker!

Lyn: Rolling the dice with that leg-feeding neckbreaker and Cereza goes down again!

Bianca dropped down to make the cover, hooking both legs in the attempt before the referee slid into position to count.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Cereza popped her shoulder up in time before the three came down. Bianca shook her head, and began to get back to her feet again. She was still more than a little woozy though, evident by her body language.

Zack: Cereza’s the worse for wear, but you can see Bianca’s not exactly full of pep either at this point. I think the “Typhoon” thought maybe that opening assault would put this one in the can early for her.

With Cereza face down, Bianca began to stomp the back of her head and neck repeatedly. She quickly mounted her back, and locked in a crucifix neck crank. Cereza shouted in agony as Bianca tried to increase the pressure. The referee dropped down in front of Cereza to see if she wanted to submit.

Lyn: Crucifix neck crank here... Vvveeerrrryyyyy similar to the Cattle Catch in theory.

Cereza’s face was contorted in agony as Bianca told her to quit repeatedly. Stringer continued to ask her if she wanted to do that, but the challenger didn’t give the answer needed. Salvador’s face clenched and tightened as she tried to exert more pressure until Cereza managed to get her foot under the bottom rope. The referee called for the break, but Bianca didn’t break till she got to four.

Zack: Bianca’s showing us some new wrinkles to her arsenal tonight, and they are extremely effective as a result. She seems to be focused entirely on the neck now.

Lyn: She doesn’t want Cereza to come back for the title. She wants this to be done and over with.

Bianca headed back towards the center of the ring, dragging Cereza by the foot with her. When she leaned down to try to apply the neck crank again, Cereza rolled and caught her with an uppercut to the chin. It rocked the blonde backwards a step before she doubled back, only to get caught with another! Salvador stumbled back a couple steps as Cereza made it to her feet. The champion stepped forward again, this time getting caught in an exploder suplex...into a modified scoop powerslam! Cereza collapsed to her knees immediately following the move.

Lyn: Damn fine T-Bone there, you couldn’t put A1 on that it was so good!

She finally fell forward, making the cover before the referee dropped into position to make the count.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Bianca’s shoulder popped up before the three touched, causing Cereza to roll onto her back and try to catch her breath. The wound over her eye seemed to have stopped bleeding for the time being, though the stains of blood were still clear on that side of her face.

Zack: It wasn’t enough to keep Bianca down, but Cereza is having a devil of a time following up. Both women are down, though I’m pretty sure Cereza will be up first!

Cereza finally sat up with the crowd solidly chanting her name. She pushed up to her feet, grabbing Bianca as she was starting to rise as well. A quick whip sent Bianca into the far corner, causing her to crash back first before she collapsed to sit against it. Cereza backed up a couple steps, and took off towards her to deliver a bronco buster! She bounced on her chest at least five times before she rolled to the mat. She pulled Bianca up to her feet, and dragged her out of the corner. Cereza immediately snatched her into position for a full nelson bomb! Bianca bounced off the mat before the challenger kicked one leg high up into the air, and delivered her cheerleader leg drop to Salvador’s chest.

Lyn: Big time leg drop into the black heart of the Typhoon!

Cereza gave the crowd the sign for her favorite finisher, causing them to rise to their feet. As Bianca went to rise as well, the challenger grabbed her and executed her kneeling facebuster to the roar of the crowd! Stringer dropped to count immediately after the cover.

Zack: BOUNCER DROP!! Cereza’s got this right here!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Cereza sat up with an elated expression as she heard the three, fighting to her feet with a smile. As Stringer was about to call for the bell, she saw Bianca’s leg under the bottom rope and immediately shook her head, waving it off.

Lyn: ...Oh... Oh no. Cereza... Cereza it isn’t... It isn’t a three. She looked full of elation there.

Stringer immediately went to get Cereza, to let her know what was happening. When she finally told her, Cereza’s face fell as she told her she counted three. The referee agreed she had, but said Bianca’s leg was under the rope. When she pointed back to show her, Bianca was….gone. The referee looked around the ring, not finding her as the cameras spotted Bianca at ringside.

Zack: You could almost hear Cereza’s heart sink right there, but this match isn’t over yet! Salvador is lucky her foot was where it was, and now...she’s out here in front of us.

Cereza looked around as well, finally finding Bianca as she was crawling towards the timekeeper’s table. The challenger rolled out to get her. Gaby got out of her seat as Bianca got to the table, and seemed to be trying to get up with the help of it. As Cereza reached her, Salvador spun into her and clobbered her with the bell hammer to the open wound on her head. Due to Cereza being directly in front of her, the referee saw nothing as the challenger collapsed in a heap! Bianca dropped the hammer behind her as the referee continued her count.

Lyn: A hammer. She’s used steps, she’s used an unpadded turnbuckle, she used her own title... Everything she can happily throw at Cereza, Bianca will do it!

Gaby tried to tell the referee what she had done since she saw it herself. The referee asked Bianca about it, and the blonde simply shook her head. She dragged Cereza towards the ring, and pulled her up to roll her inside. Cereza was dead weight at this point. She laid arms and legs akimbo on the mat with the gash in her head freshly bleeding all over again. Salvador grinned as she slipped inside after her, tapping her head as she looked around at the Oakland crowd. The referee dropped down in front of Cereza, who showed no signs of consciousness on the mat. Bianca dropped to her knees, crawled forward, and languidly made the cover with her hand in the air to go with the count as Stringer gave it.

Zack: Don’t tell me it’ll end like this! Cereza gave everything she had, and Bianca Salvador’s gonna retain on this crap!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-WHOA!

Cereza’s shoulder popped up and fell right back down, causing Bianca’s mouth to fall open. She looked at Stringer in disbelief then anger as the referee held up two fingers to her face.

Lyn: Bianca looks as though she’s saw a ghost for a second but Cereza can’t even will herself back up.

Bianca muttered some very coarse language as she stumbled to her feet, still feeling the damage she had endured to this point. She pulled Cereza up to her feet, almost holding her up in a way as she hooked her into position with a double pumphandle…..

Lyn: No... She’s going for...!

As Bianca lifted her up, Cereza slipped out the back and landed on her feet. She spun the champion around, and immediately connected with her kneeling facebuster! The Oakland crowd roared as Cereza collapsed on top of her for the cover! Stringer dropped to count!

Lyn: BOUNCER DROP ONE MORE TIME!!

ONE!!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

As soon as Stringer called for the bell officially, the Oakland crowd erupted! Cereza rolled onto her back, gasping to catch her breath and trying to clear her vision. When she sat up, the referee raised her hand in victory!

Zack: IT HAPPENED!! IT FINALLY HAPPENED!! THE THIRD TIME WAS THE CHARM!! TELL’EM ABOUT IT, WILDCAT!!

Gaby: Here is your winner…..AND NEEEEEEEEEEEEEWW FFW Future Shock Champion…...CEREZA!!!!

Stringer handed Cereza the title, bringing tears to her eyes as she sat on the mat looking down at it. Tears and drops of her own blood dotted the championship as she sat, simply staring at it in her hands finally.

Lyn: Tonight ladies and gentlemen all her efforts have paid off. Tonight, you have a Future Shock champion who you have watched grow and fight and struggle and MAKE it... MAKE it. That feeling you have right now for Cereza? That’s admiration.

Fireworks erupted throughout the arena as Cereza shook a bit as she held the title. She rose to her feet, and thrust it into the air with a scream of pure jubilation! And the live crowd responded in kind!

Zack: How poetic that a mix of blood, sweat, and tears are raining on the Future Shock Championship that Cereza fought so hard to attain all this time! She was considered a joke when she first came to Future Shock. She turned herself around, and became practically a whole new person...and it’s all culminated with the Future Shock Championship! Well damn deserved!!

Lyn: I have to stand up for this one, Zack.

Cereza clutched it tightly to her chest, smiling through the pain as she climbed the turnbuckle to raise the title over her head with both hands.

Zack: April 29th will go down in history as the night Cereza made it all come true! No need to take a picture, no one will forget! Congratulations, Cereza!

Lyn: Well deserved. So well deserved.
