As “Vanilla Radio” by The Wildhearts strikes up, Claire Black moves out to the centre of the stage bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet, loosening up a little before throwing her hands up in the air. She performs the sign of the cross and kisses the crucifix around her neck. Finally she began to dance down the entrance ramp towards the ring, shadow boxing all the way, snapping off furious combinations, her taped hands moving in a blur. As she reaches the ring she climbs the ring steps and enters between the ropes. She begins to shadow box one more time, practising a couple of combinations before stepping back into her corner, where she raised her foot onto the middle rope and stretched out, before switching to the other leg. As she finished stretching, she took the crucifix from around the neck, gave it a kiss then hung it over the top of the ring post before turning back to face her opponent, awaiting the start of the match.

(Include ring announcement from  the match writer will edit in whatever title they are holding at the time).
As “Vanilla Radio” by The Wildhearts strikes up, Claire Black moves out to the centre of the stage bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet, loosening up a little before throwing her hands up in the air as the title belt was fastened around her waist. Fade To Black - Cobra Clutch submission hold

TKO - Double Underhook DDT

Wrestler’s Strengths:
Foot and hand speed - Having trained most of her life as a boxer, she is light, nimble and incredibly quick on her feet, able to dance away from her opponents as well as being able to bob and weave to avoid incoming shots. While her hands move like greased lightning often going from point A to point B without seeming to pass through the space between them.

Stamina - Her years doing boxing training have given her plenty of stamina as her entire routine is built around being able to go for the full twelve rounds and still having enough juice in the tank for twelve more.

Resiliency - At least in boxing terms... she has a jaw that almost seems cast out of iron, able to take her opponents best shot to her chin and barely letting it phase her. As a result of this her fighting style is one that encourages her to absorb punishment in order to come forward and deliver body shots.

Wrestler’s Weaknesses:
Technique - her boxing technique is flawless. Her wrestling technique however, is solid but not exceptional.

Power - She’s strong enough, but her strikes seem to lack a little edge when they connect. She’s not a powderpuff, but she’s also not a powderkeg either.

Self doubt - While she’d never say it out loud, she does doubt herself and her abilities - at least as far as being a singles wrestler is concerned, worried that she’s not lived up to her early potential.

Wrestler’s Biography (Their history and what brings them to .FFW):
Claire is the reason her father is still alive, having given him a reason to sober up for good following the death of her mother as a six year old. Ending a descent into alcoholism that had started a couple of years earlier thanks to his journeyman boxing career being cut short - thanks to both a severe eye injury he covered up with remarkable success when renewing his licence and the losses piling up as a result of his now poor vision in one eye.

Straightening himself out he put his talent to good use he opened a boxing gym in his hometown of Boston, MA. He quickly gained regular visitors from the local community and as a result of his contacts in the game had a number of fighters pushed his way for training camps that normally led to successful fights as he pushed hard work and the same old fashioned training methods his dad had taught him. Growing up around in this atmosphere it was only natural that it would rub off on Claire. By the age of ten she was demonstrating a good knowledge of the technical foundation of the sport, able to assess and pull up seasoned professional on any holes in their game or shoddy execution. She began participating fully in all aspects of training - from sparring drills to conditioning and strength - and started boxing as an amateur on her sixteenth birthday. Over the next seven years she would rack up several local and state tournament titles and place well in national events, finally deciding to turn professional in 2006.

She earned a couple of good wins and a decent record as a professional. But as her professional career took off the gym found itself falling upon hard times as Mickey’s contacts moved away from the sport the stream of lucrative professional boxers using the gym as a training base dried up. Just as the end was upon the establishment, it was saved by the one and only Ryan Sheffield who bought the building and modernised the equipment - and suggested that, with a little tuition in the basics, Claire would be a formidable wrestler and earn substantially more money in the process. Whilst getting off to a good start, Claire feels like she has stumble as a singles wrestler in recent times though her tag team with Serafina DeCaro continues to be competitive (for the most part).

The gym has now been sold to FFW and turned into the East Coast Future Shock Centre. It is currently run by Claire Black with help from Serafina DeCaro, Starla McCloud and Lilly Arthur.
