Live from the Future Shock Arena in Boston, Massachusetts
May 8, 2018

A stick of dynamite is plunged into a stone wall with a fissure. The fuse burns down to the end before the wall blows apart. Covering her face from the blast is Mara Werth dressed in what looks like a tomb raider outfit. “Bringing Down the Giant” by Saving Abel begins to play. She heads inside the opening in the wall, shining a flashlight on one wall showing the FFW logo and then the Future Shock logo. As she moves ahead, she comes across a platform overlooking a pit. Upon looking inside, she sees Lacey surrounded by dead flowers blowing red mist towards her.

Oh. I hit the wall I got back up and dusted off.
I’m past the pain and I’m taking back all that I lost,
I’m going to kick you off the throne hang your crown up on the wall

We then cut to quick takes showing Lydia Charisma delivering her Ocean’s Eleven finisher. Celeste is then shown hitting her Heaven’s Cloud ace crusher to a pop from the crowd. Then we see a large bubble being blown before it pops to reveal the smiling face of Nora Harris. Bianca Reed takes off her sunglasses, and throws them into the crowd. Mila is shown with her surfboard dragon sleeper locked in before we cut back to the tomb.

Yeah your glory days are gone gone gone.
Yeah I’m bringing down the giant
I won’t sit here undecided.

Mara extends her arms to both sides, and walks carefully across the platform before she makes it to the other side. She reaches the other side, finding a hall of mirrors as she steps into another entrance. She glances at the various mirrors around her as she walks past them, while Tara Cortez passes her twice in one mirror after Mara moves away. She comes upon two stone statues that look like guardians to a door. She retrieves two gems from her pocket, placing them in the stone hands of the statues before the door starts to move.

When your world comes crashing down I’ll remind you
I’m the one who’s laughing loud in your face
Yeah yeah your karma’s coming back here to find you this is going to get a little violent
Yeah I’m bringing down bringing down the giant.

We cut away from there to see Gemma Pierce and Kaya Crimson staring across at one another. Gillie Barnes thrusts the Future Shock Championship over her head with a smile, and Harley Shannon has the Harley Headlock locked in next. Cassandra Steen is shown counting her money as Kyle stands over her shoulder. “Poison” is shown next as Rose is dressed like Harley Quinn, and slams a giant mallet onto the camera before it cuts back to the tomb.

When your world comes crashing down I’ll remind you
I’m the one who’s laughing loud in your face
Yeah yeah your karma’s coming back here to find you this is going to get a little violent
Yeah I’m bringing down bringing down the giant.

The doors finally open as Mara carefully steps forward, looking around as a row of lights come up all the way to a throne. And there sat on the throne with two lions sat in front of her is Elizabeth Lannister. She points towards Mara as the two lions roar and launch towards the camera before we cut to the live broadcast to see a roaring crowd full of Future Shock fans.

Zack: Welcome back to Boston, and to the Future Shock Arena! Year Three begins now after a wild night at Anarchy! Special thanks to Saving Abel for our new theme, and Lyn….we are kicking off the third year since the reboot tonight!

Lyn: So much has changed but the quality has stayed the same, Zack!

Zack: The fallout from Anarchy starts tonight, and we have a big card on tap on our way to Glasgow on June 12th! It’s Prospects versus the World in the main event as Angel looks to earn her way onto the graduation poll when she meets former graduate Angelina Fantastica!

Lyn: An interesting dichotomy if I’ve ever heard one and we’ll see if one Angel can get past another!

Zack: Someone’s 0 must go as two of Future Shock’s undefeated talents square off when Mara Werth looks to put an end to Lilliana Leucrotta’s run. This may be the stiffest challenge either has faced so far, Lyn.

Lyn: Agreed, though while on paper they couldn’t be more different, something tells me Mara has dealt with Lilliana’s like before and vice versa from their lives outside of wrestling.

Zack: And we’ll also be seeing Celeste and Gemma Pierce go one on one. Gemma and Celeste both have big dates waiting for them in Glasgow, and we’ll see what happens when they collide in a battle of high flying versus technical expertise.

Lyn: The age old rivalry of two vastly different styles and let’s see who adds to the score for one or the other!

Zack: We’ll hear from one of the newest Prospects signed at Anarchy, because Nora Harris is here tonight and no doubt has plenty to say about what she stopped at Anarchy!

Lyn: ...And you can bet a certain client of Kyle’s wants to hear every word of why Nora rained on her parade.

Zack: The NEW Future Shock Champion is in attendance as well, and I’m sure Gillie is feeling on top of the world even now two weeks later! I’m looking forward to hearing what’s on her mind tonight.

Lyn: I imagine she’s still getting used to that... Your first singles championship is the most special.

Zack: All that and there’s no telling what else we’re likely to see! So let’s send it up to our resident “Wildcat” to get this show rolling!

The camera heads up to the ring as Gaby makes her way inside with a wide smile on her face before she begins.

Gaby: And in this corner, from South Bend, Indiana... weighing one hundred sixty-five pounds... Lilliana Leucrotta!

Gaby looks over to the foul-mouthed Prospect already standing in the ring, propped up against the corner with a look of disgust on her face.

Zack: Lilliana has been undefeated since arriving in Future Shock. And that’s a fact that probably irritates many fans. And I know my broadcast colleague would love to see her brought down a peg.

Lyn: I’d like to see her back in the illegal fighting ring she was belched out of but we don’t always get what we want.

I'm only human
I'm only—I'm only—
I'm only human, human

“Human” by Rag’n’Bone Man starts to play over the soundsystem as the video screen shows a jail cell door sliding backwards and a pair of black ring boots with legs going all the way up to a simple blue skirt step out onto the landing only to suddenly stumble as if given a push in the small of the back from the man who appeared behind her in shiny black shoes and black pants.

Maybe I'm foolish,
Maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this
And see what's behind
Got no way to prove it
So maybe I'm lying

As the pair pass by, the camera gets a shot from behind before it cuts to more grainy CCTV footage that shows the guard escorting the raven haired prisoner across a prison yard of patchy grass and into another building. There’s another cut as we see a shot of exposed midriff on the other side of a counter that has a pack of gum, some loose change on it and a hair bobble on it. A hand reaches forward, picking up a pen and signs a name quickly before scooping up the possessions as she stiffly pushed to move onwards.

But I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

There’s another cut; this time to show the back of the black haired woman as she reaches up to tie her long loose hair back with the bobble while still walking forward, coming to a stop in front of a large closed door. The camera cuts to the opposite side of the door and low door, watching as it swung open and the woman stepped out; only for the blazing sun to obscure her face and body; the video screens becoming a blazing yellow-white sun glare with a spotlight shining bright as the same woman has appeared at the top of the entrance ramp. The spotlight dims to reveal Mara Werth standing there in her black boots, blue skirt and white vest top.

Take a look in the mirror
And what do you see?
Do you see it clearer
Or are you deceived
In what you believe?

Gaby: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome from Tuscaloosa, Alabama… MARA WERTH!!!

'Cause I'm only human after all,
You're only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

With a smile on her face she begins to head down the ramp to the ring, running up the ring steps. She moved down the apron, facing out to the crowd and threw her arms up into the air before she stepped through the ropes. Heading to the corner, the girl carefully stepped up onto the middle ropes, throwing her hands up into the air again before she bounced back onto her feet and stretched as she waited for the match to start.

Zack: Mara Werth is looking for a second chance in life. She’s been through the legal system, she’s seen the worst of society and wants to make herself better. And that right there is as admirable as it gets.

Lyn: Well as I mused earlier, I wonder how familiar Mara is with the likes of Leucrotta?

Referee Ashley Pruitt checks both women before calling for the bell as Gaby leaves the ring. The crowd immediately gets behind Mara as she and Lilliana meet in the center of the ring. As you might expect, Leucrotta immediately begins talking trash about Mara before piefacing her backwards a couple steps. Mara steps right back into her face, the smile at the crowd reaction gone as Lilliana looks out at the crowd for a second. She then goes for a cheap shot, only for Mara to catch her arm and start firing back with right hands of her own. Each shot pushes her back a half step before the brunette finishes with an uppercut to her chin. As Lilliana’s head snaps back, Mara grabs her around the waist and sends her flying with a release belly to belly overhead suplex.

Zack: I don’t think Lilliana is going to intimidate Mara Werth. Not at all! And if she wants to brawl and throw hands, Mara’s more than happy to oblige her!

Lyn: Not a surprise there and big time overhead suplex that outright shocked Lilliana!

As the Indiana native got to her feet, Mara caught her with a back elbow to the jaw that rocked her again. She whipped her across to the far side, and took her down on the rebound with a Thesz press. Werth unloaded with right hands to her head before rolling to her feet, and taking off towards the ropes. Lilliana finally got back to a vertical base, only to turn into a Superman punch to the mouth from Mara that flattened her on the mat. Werth followed up with a fist drop before sitting up and cracking her knuckles.

Zack: I think Lilliana’s being overwhelmed here by Mara, and if something doesn’t change soon, I think Werth’s gonna pitch a shutout!

Lyn: You mean she isn’t already!?

Leucrotta rolled to her stomach to push up to her feet, but didn’t get much of a chance before Mara unleashed a barrage of stomps to her back and head. At one point, she practically ran in place with stomps to her back before dropping an elbow to her head at the end. Mara then applied a rear chinlock with a knee pressed into Lilliana’s back at the same time. Pruitt dropped down to ask for a submission, but only got swatted at by Leucrotta for doing so.

Lyn: ...Because trying to hit your referee is a brilliant tactic. Sincerely.

Zack: Lilliana is not someone who cares at all about what anyone thinks of her, and that includes officials in her matches apparently.

Mara pulled back on the hold, causing some audibles from Leucrotta before she shoved some of Mara’s fingers into her mouth. She bit into them, causing the former convict to shout in pain before she got her hands free. Mara got back to her feet, shaking her head before Leucrotta hopped up behind her. She spun her around, and fired a headbutt into her face that sent her backwards into the corner before she followed her in. A barrage of right hands landed on Mara’s head before she leaned forward, and bit into her face. Mara shouted in pain as the referee had to administer a four count to get a break. Lilliana broke for only a second, and then went right back to biting into her face for another four count.

Lyn: Leucrotta is not interested in social constructs like rules or integrity or that silly thing I understand to be called respect.

Zack: Nothing pretty about any of that, just plain old biting like she was some kind of wild animal.

After the second break, she pulled her out of the corner with two handfuls of hair to drive knees into her face. She bounced off the near side ropes, and used a kneelift to the face to drop her to her knees on the canvas. Leucrotta hit the ropes again, this time with a kick to the side of her head that dropped her down the rest of the way. She briefly pulled her knee pad down, and dropped it into the back of Mara’s head and then went for a cover.

Zack: Exposed knee drop, that’s nothing but bone on bone right there! Leucrotta’s hoping for a knockout!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

NOPE!!

Mara kicked out as the two came down, prompting Lilliana to bite into her face yet again. Another four count followed that before she got back to her feet, and spit on Mara to boos from the crowd.

Lyn: Leucrotta is at times more a wild animal than an actual wrestler. I suppose in some fashion it works for her in what she’s trying to do. Incite a riot.

Mara was yanked back to her feet, again by the hair. Lilliana fired her into the corner with velocity, causing the brunette to land back first. The South Bend resident followed her in, and tried to gouge her eyes. She pulled her head under one arm, and looked to be going for a bulldog. But Mara shoved her off after a couple steps. Lilliana stopped herself, and turned around into a roundhouse kick to the side of the head. It dropped her like a rock, and Mara also fell to a knee as she tried to pull herself together.

Zack: Mara’s been getting pummeled, and you can tell it’s taken a fair bit out of her. She’d have followed up by now otherwise.

Lyn: And every moment she cannot is another moment that Leucrotta looks to be more and more and more in control.

Both women started to get back to their feet about the same time with Lilliana on the offense. She went to nail her with a right hand, but Mara ducked it and caught her with an elbow to the midsection. Werth fired her across to the far side, and caught her on the rebound with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker! Werth immediately went for a cover with a hook of the leg.

Lyn: Big time backbreaker and that might be it!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THR-NOPE!!!

The Indiana resident got her shoulder up in time. Mara got back to her feet, and pulled Lilliana up with her. She fired her into the corner chest first. As she bounced backwards, Mara snatched her into a rear waistlock. But Lilliana grabbed the top rope with both hands, while Mara was trying to pull her free. Leucrotta used the back of her head for a headbutt into Mara’s face to get her to let go.

Zack: Lilliana could tell she was about to go for a ride she didn’t want, and used her head….literally to get out of it.

Leucrotta got herself together, and spun into Mara with a discus punch to the mouth. Werth stumbled backwards before Leucrotta kicked her in the gut, and then pulled her head under her arm. She hoisted her up in a power display, and drove her into the canvas with a brainbuster. A quick hook of the leg followed that as the referee fell into position.

Lyn: Good God even I have to admit that brainbuster... That was impressive.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Mara’s shoulder came up, and Lilliana berated Pruitt for the count. She hammered forearms across her head before she got back to her feet, and headed for the ropes. Leucrotta crouched down, cursing at Mara amidsts telling her to get up.

Zack: I think we know what’s coming, Lyn! It’s Lilliana’s favorite move, and has won her every match she’s had in Future Shock!

Lyn: Reminiscent of American History X...

Mara started to get up as Lilliana bolted towards her. She left her feet for the curb stomp, but Mara rolled out of the way and back to her feet. Lilliana landed awkwardly, and turned around just as Mara connected with her shining knee strike to the Lilliana’s temple! Werth went for the cover, and hooked both legs into a cover.

Zack: WERTHWHILE!! THAT’S A KNOCKOUT IF I EVER SAW ONE!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Pruitt called for the bell to a pop from the crowd. Mara pushed up to her feet with a smile growing on her face, which only widened when the referee raised her hand.

Lyn: WELLP THAT SUCKS! Let’s hear it Gaby!

Gaby: Here’s your winner by pinfall…………...MARA WERTH!!

Mara pumped her fist at her side, still smiling brightly as she climbed onto the middle rope to share the moment with the fans.

Zack: Mara Werth has ended the undefeated streak of Lilliana Leucrotta, and that woman right there may have just put herself into prime position to put a Ring on it!

Lyn: Maybe if we’re lucky, that provided some sort of adjustment... Perhaps in attitude to Lilliana.

Mara rolled out to the floor, slapping hands with a few fans as she headed towards the back. On that image, the show heads elsewhere.

Harley’s Recognition

When Future Shock heads to the back, we find Harley Shannon standing on one side of Sara Wilkins while Adam Grant stands on the other side. He’s got a pair of plaques in his hand.

Sara: I’m here with Harley Shannon and the Director of Future Shock, Adam Grant. And as you can see, Harley here is about to receive some very special recognition.

Adam: Harley, the Future Shock fans out there recently made their voice heard in the annual awards. And you got all kinds of recognition, to say the least. I wanted to deliver these to you in person, and let’s start with the Most Unforgettable Moment of the Year award for when you became the first Prospect Future Shock Champion in Sydney.

He hands off one of the plaques to her. She accepts the the award from him with a small, humble smile on her face.

Harley: Thank you Mr. Grant and thank you to all the fans who voted for that as the Most Unforgettable Moment of the Year. It’s been a year that’s been full of big, newsworthy moments and for that to be the one standing head and shoulders above the others in your estimation means an awful lot to me. I know it’s certainly a moment I won’t ever forget… but I’m probably a little biased.

Adam: And then there’s this one right here, the biggest award we have in Future Shock. Not only was winning the title unforgettable for our fans, what followed that clearly helped propel you to this.

He hands over the other plaque to her.

Adam: Congratulations on becoming the 2018 Prospect of the Year. That covers a whole lot of ground on this roster.

She took the plaque reverentially from him, admiring it for a couple of seconds before she clutched it against her body.

Harley: There’s a lot of phenomenally talented prospects out there, like Angel and Lydia and Gillie Barnes and Bianca Reed; the new girls that are signing up are already pushing the bar upward too. To be considered the best of all them over the last year. To be voted the Prospect of the Year in 2018 by our fans… it means so much to me, more than I can even put into words honestly. One of the proudest moments of my life to stand here with this award. I’ve got to thank all those people who have believed in me, Mr Grant for giving me an opportunity to showcase what I can do and for giving me the time to grow and develop. And most of all I want to thank everyone who has supported me through thick and thin; every single fan out there who I’ve been lucky enough to entertain and who voted in these rewards. Thank you all… I honestly couldn’t have done any of this without you.

Sara: Harley, I’m sure coming up short against Gillie at Anarchy was tough for you. But I also would guess that winning these two awards from the Future Shock fans has to be massively uplifting to you. Is that fair?

The red haired woman nodded her head in agreement.

Harley: I know there’s no shame in losing to Gillie Barnes, I’m on record saying how much I respect her as a person, as a wrestler and as a competitor. Despite that, there’s always a feeling of disappointment when you lose any match and at Anarchy it really hit hard - losing that match and the Future Shock Championship, hurt. Congratulations to Gillie on her victory and I wish her the best of luck… at least until my rematch. All that being said, if I had to choose a way to get over that loss, these are a pretty damn good way to make a girl feel a whole lot better about herself.

She lifted the awards up towards the camera slightly before she held them tightly against her again.

Harley: Having the fans recognise all the hard work that you put in and tell you that in their opinion you’re the best over the course of the last year. I pretty much feel like I’m on top of the world.

As the camera focuses on the awards in her hands, Future Shock heads to a commercial break.

The bell sounds before we head back to the ring, and find Gaby once again waiting patiently with her microphone.

Zack: I think we’re gonna see a classic battle of speed versus technical expertise right here. I’m looking forward to it.

Lyn: It may just boil down to who wants it more tonight.

Gaby: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!

Strobe begins to flicker in tandem with the techno intro of "We’re in This Together Now" by Nine Inch Nails. The words begin to screech over the arena as Celeste makes her way out.

I've become impossible
holding on to when
when everything seemed to matter more
the two of us…all used and beaten up
watching fate as it flows down the path
we have chose…

She walks down the ramp with her focus on the ring ahead. After jumping up onto the apron she heads over to the nearest turnbuckle and climbs it. When the chorus hits, Celeste raises both arms up and out to take in the sounds of the crowd as she closes her eyes and tilts her head skyward.

you and me
we're in this together now
none of them can stop us now
we will make it through somehow
you and me
if the world should break in two
until the very end of me
until the very end of you

At the end of the chorus, Celeste hops into the ring from the turnbuckle and cracks her knuckles in preparation for the fight ahead while her theme fades out.

Gaby: Hailing from Miami, Florida…weighing 120 lbs…CELESTE!

Zack: Celeste is heading to Glasgow with a shot at the Aspire Ring in her sights. But her opponent tonight doesn’t have much in common with Lacey at all. She’ll need to be on her top form against Gemma.

Lyn: I can’t think of two people who have less in common than Lacey and Gemma... Well, in truth I think that goes without saying about many women here in Future Shock.

The lights go out in the arena, an anticipatory murmur filling the arena. A moment or two passes in silence before a slow-tempo guitar begins to play through the PA system, accompanied by an electronic vibration effect, kicking off All Good Things’ “For the Glory.”

Better back down, you’re in my domain
Got the whole crowd screaming out our name
It’s a blowout, it’s a hurricane
It’s over, before you know it

An aggressive guitar chord strikes as red lights begin to swirl through the arena. The curtain is pushed aside, and a dimly lit figure stands in the middle of the entrance ramp. While not much of her is clearly visible, she turns her head to face either direction of the crowd.

Why you shaking? We’re a dynasty
In the making, We’re the royalty
Now we're breaking down the enemy
Move over for the soldiers

After a moment, a single white spotlight turns to the ramp, revealing a red-haired woman in a leather jacket, glaring toward one side of the crowd, chewing a piece of gum with a smirk on her face.

Gaby: Introducing [first/her opponent], from Liverpool, England, weighing 147 pounds…this is “The World Piercer,” GEMMA...PIERCE!

Gemma turns to stare at the other side of the audience, lips curling into even more of a smirk as the fans react to the introduction with boos. She stuffs her hands into the pockets of her leather jacket, pacing down the ramp slowly. For the most part, she ignores the crowd, although one person toward the end of the ramp seems to get the “World Piercer’s” attention. The smirk on her face only grows as she gets into a bit of a jaw-jacking competition with the fan, even holding her arms out and seeming to invite some kind of confrontation--when nothing comes of it, though, she just grins even more.

She circles around the ring, taking her sweet time before deciding which side she wants to enter on, swinging herself up onto the apron. She grips the top rope and grins, pulling herself up to her feet, staring out into the crowd for just a moment. She steps through the ropes, moving straight into the center of the ring and stretching her arms out wide, curling both hands in a “bring it” sort of gesture, as the boos only increase. The Merseysider chuckles to herself, shrugging her leather jacket off her shoulders and tossing it out of the ring, moving to her corner and leaning herself back against the turnbuckles.

Zack: Ever since Kaya surprised her a few weeks ago, it’s been eating at Gemma Pierce. She’ll get a chance to even the score in Scotland, but has her hands full with Celeste tonight.

Lyn: One might suspect that she’ll be picturing Kaya’s head on Celeste’s shoulders as this match goes down.

Referee Ashley Pruitt checks both women as Gaby leaves the ring. The official then calls for the bell as a chant for Celeste begins to rumble through the arena. The pair meet in the center with a collar and elbow tie-up. Gemma uses a strength advantage to start pushing Celeste backwards into the ropes. She gives her a clean break before Celeste comes forward, only to walk into a drop toe hold. The redhead quickly mounts her back, and starts driving forearms with both arms into the back of her head. Pulling her head up for a moment, she drove her elbow into the top of Celeste’s head as well. The brunette managed to shake her off, and roll towards the ropes. She got back to her feet, but caught a kneelift in the ribs as she was starting to stand up from Pierce. Gemma used clubbing blows across her back and neck before a swinging neckbreaker put her down on the mat.

Zack: This is what Gemma brings to the table right here. It’s this technical prowess that is second to none in Future Shock. This is definitely not the pace Celeste wants to set.

Lyn: Celeste wants to, and needs to move... Else this’ll be a long, and impactful night for her.

Gemma pulls her up by the head to her feet, only to catch a right hand to the abdomen. Two more follow that before Celeste scoops her over one shoulder and drives her back into the turnbuckle. This time, it’s Celeste’s turn as she begins to hammer in forearms to her head before taking a step back to deliver a spinning heel kick to the abdomen. It doubles Pierce over briefly before Celeste yanks her out of the corner, and plants her with a DDT to the canvas. Christian gives her some advice as she takes off towards the ropes while Gemma is getting to her feet. Celeste rebounds quickly, and leaves her feet with a multi-rotation headscissors DDT to the canvas. It excites the crowd before she goes for the cover.

Lyn: Goodness you could see the spin on that one!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOO!!

NOPE!!

Gemma kicks out as Celeste rolls to her feet, while the redhead tries to do the same. The brunette grabs her head into position for a bulldog, but instead rams her head first into the turnbuckle followed by a German suplex.

Zack: Here we go, this is more in Celeste’s wheelhouse! And that old cliche about speed kills is being proven right before our eyes.

With the crowd solidly behind her, Celeste gets back to her feet. She rubs the back of her head from the earlier offense she absorbed as she pulls Gemma to her feet. Pierce is fired across with a hard Irish whip, as Celeste goes for a roundhouse kick after she rebounds. But Pierce ducks underneath it, catching Celeste off balance with a leg hook Saito suplex. The speedy brunette tried to get up before she was snatched into a rear waistlock, and driven into the mat with a German suplex followed by four more before Pierce bridged up for a pin attempt. Pruitt slid into position to make the count.

Lyn: Pierce is throwing Celeste around like there’s no tomorrow!

ONE!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

T-NOPE!!

Celeste rolled her shoulder in time before the three. Gemma wasted no time as she got back to her feet. The redhead moved towards the corner, measured her opponent, and took off with a leg drop across the back of Celeste’s head as she was starting to get up.

Zack: Gemma has laser-like focus as she works over Celeste’s head and neck here. She doesn’t argue with the referee or anything like that, total focus.

The brunette managed to get away from Gemma, and use the ropes to help her get to her feet. But Gemma was right behind her with another forearm to the back of her head this time. She quickly pulled her down into a dragon sleeper. Celeste’s arms began to flail a bit as she nearly grabbed the referee’s pants leg. Gemma tired to clinch the hold tighter, causing Celeste to struggle even more until her movements began to slow a bit.

Zack: Celeste is in major trouble here. She knows it too, she almost grabbed the referee’s pants leg there. But the more she struggles in it, Gemma’s able to sink it in tighter.

Lyn: Not the completed version of Pierce’s Admit Defeat But a variation thereof and it looks especially painful.

Pruitt dropped to a knee, asking Celeste if she wanted to stop the match. She got no such answer, even though Celeste’s arms weren’t moving as quickly now. Pierce remained stoic, keeping the hold locked tight while the referee continued to check with Celeste. The crowd began to get behind her again, chanting her name as Christian shouted to stretch to the left. Celeste clearly heard him as she stretched her left arm, and found the bottom rope. Pierce looked over to Christian before finally letting go of the hold, causing Celeste to collapse to the mat.

Zack: Celeste’s manager is showing what a manager is supposed to do, and in that case, it was to help her figure out where she was. And Gemma didn’t appreciate the words of wisdom.

Lyn: Well those words of wisdom was the difference between the match continuing and ending!

Gemma went to get her back to her feet, only to be surprised with a jawbreaker from Celeste. It stumbled the redhead backwards as Celeste made it to a vertical base, shaking her head a ibt to try to wear off the effects of the dragon sleeper. Gemma recovered a bit more quickly and stormed towards her, but once more Celeste surprised her by scooping her up and falling backwards with a stun gun across the top rope. Pierce gasped for breath before Celeste caught her with a chop block to the knee that sent her across the middle rope. A quick glance around the crowd with a nod of her head followed before she took off for the far side. Celeste bounced back quickly, and connected with a tiger feint kick to Gemma’s head that sent her backwards to the mat.

Lyn: Big time Tiger feint and Celeste is taking this one back!

Zack: This is right in her wheelhouse right here! Celeste is in the driver’s seat, and Gemma’s in trouble!

She immediately headed for the corner, and made her way to the top rope. Gemma lay prone on the mat, still coughing as Celeste launched herself into a frog splash that brought the crowd to its feet. Gemma’s leg was hooked as Celeste went for the cover, and the crowd was counting along with the referee!

Zack: What hangtime on that frog splash! Celeste’s got this!!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Gemma’s shoulder came up a second before the three struck, causing Celeste to slowly get back to her feet. Another glance towards the corner, she headed back for the corner again. This time though, she didn’t stay on the top turnbuckle. Instead she began to walk down the top rope as Gemma was getting back to her feet.

Lyn: Celeste heading back to the well again and let’s see if it pays off!

Gemma finally turned in the right direction before connecting with a meteora that drove the redhead right back to the canvas. Celeste hooked both legs for a cover before Pruitt slid into position.

Lyn: Double knees out of the dive!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! NO.

Yet again, Gemma manages to get her shoulder up with nary a moment to spare. Celeste looks a little disappointed before hopping back to her feet. She starts to circle around behind Gemma when she finally begins to get up.

Zack: I think I know what Celeste has in mind here, and Gemma won’t get up from it if she hits it either!

Pierce finally got to a vertical base, and turned just as Celeste bolted past her and tried to grab her head for her cutter. Gemma shoved her off into the ropes. When she spun around, she caught a kick to the stomach before Pierce drilled her with her lifting single underhook brainbuster! Pierce immediately went for the cover as Pruitt dropped to count.

Zack: PIERCE THE EARTH!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Gemma got back to her feet, stumbling a bit after everything she’d taken. The referee raised her hand amid quite a few boos from the Boston crowd.

Lyn: That. That looked painful...

Gaby: Here is your winner…………………..’THE WORLD PIERCER’ GEMMA PIERCE!!

Zack: Pierce is absolutely capable of turning the tide in a split second, and you just saw it right there! You know Kaya’s watching closely.

Gemma rolled out to the floor, raising her hand again as she backed up the ramp. She glanced up to the video wall seeing the match advertised for the Glasgow show, and nodded her head.

Lyn: I expect she is, Zack... Because all of THAT... Is coming her way.

As she headed towards the back, Future Shock took a commercial break.

The Midnight Hour

The next image we see is in the office of the Director of Future Shock, who is joined by two women very familiar to the fans. One is Adam’s girlfriend, Missy, as well as “Midnight” Mila Martin who just arrived.

Adam: Thanks for coming by, Mila. Missy and I were just talking about you a little bit ago. All good, well except for Missy.

He gave his girlfriend a wink.

Adam: Come on in, got a couple things to discuss with you.

Mila: Well, I’m definitely glad to hear that it’s all good. Although I’m pretty sure that I haven’t done anything to warrant the opposite, so I’m not too worried. You have got me curious now though, I must admit.

Adam: First of all, I wanted to congratulate you on your win at Anarchy. You continue to impress, and I’m sure finally putting a period on the issues with Elizabeth felt very good too. It was the first submission match we’ve had, and you get to be able to say you won the first one as well.

Mila: Thank you. It did feel good to get some measure of payback after that chair to the face I took. Getting the win in the first submission rules match as well… isn’t to be sniffed at. Caitlyn actually threw me a little kinda tea party to celebrate after the show… I say tea party but there was no tea, just donuts.

Adam: Nothing wrong with doughnuts, as long as you had fun. The last time Missy and I went out for doughnuts with Caitlyn, Missy didn’t have that much fun by the time it was over.

Missy takes a deep breath and rolls her eyes a little at the memory.

Missy: That might be one of the biggest understatements I’ve heard this year.

Mila: I remember Caitlyn telling me about it…

Adam: But that’s not what I invited you here to discuss. After your victory, I feel like you’re starting to build some traction and have seen some excellent improvement. So that’s why on the next Future Shock, I’m gonna put you back in the main event again. It’ll be a double main event actually.  How’s that sound?

Mila’s face lit up almost with the smile that formed.

Mila: That sounds excellent to me. It’s an honour to be in the main event, and even though it’s not my first time the thought does feel just as good as the first.

Adam: I’m glad to hear you say that, because it may feel a little bit like deja vu. Because you’ll be facing Isis Morales again, and this time, we will see a winner one way or another. I’ll make sure Valentina is not ringside during the match!

Mila: As much as I hurt after my last match with her, I am glad for another shot at her. It will be good to see what happens when she doesn’t have the numbers game against me. That was starting to get a little tiresome, since it seemed every match for a while had somebody interfering that shouldn’t have been there. I almost considered bringing back up of my own!

Adam: With Valentina not allowed ringside, I don’t think that’ll be necessary this time around. It’ll be a double main event with you facing Isis and Bianca Reed facing Valerie McKinley.

He turns his attention towards his girlfriend.

Adam: You got any advice or suggestions Mila might use on the next show?

Missy: If memory serves Mila did pretty well against Isis the last time she faced her, so I would just say do more of the same again. You won’t have to worry about Valentina this time so you can keep your full focus on Isis where it should be… and I probably don’t need to tell you this, but try to avoid letting her hit you. As you’ve already mentioned you remember, she hits like a freight train.

Missy almost winces at the memory of her own encounter with Isis.

A graphic crosses the screen showing the match just announced before the show heads elsewhere in the arena.

And Then There Was A Nora

Future Shock returns from the commercial break, and we find Sara Wilkins in the ring. Gaby hands her a microphone before she leaves.

Sara: Ladies and gentlemen, I’d like for you to join me in welcoming the latest addition to the Prospect roster whom you saw at Anarchy. Please help me welcome…...NORA HARRIS!!

I won’t give up, no I won’t give in
Till I reach the end
And then I’ll start again
No I won't leave
I wanna try everything
I wanna try even though I could fail

The bouncy music of Shakira's Try Anything plays and out comes Nora, bouncing on the toes of her sneakers as she waves to the fans and then she cartwheels into the aisle before she sprints down to the ring, slides under the bottom rope and pops up to wave at the fans again.

I won’t give up, no I won’t give in
Till I reach the end
And then I’ll start again
No I won't leave
I wanna try everything
I wanna try even though I could fail

She smiles brightly at Sara Wilkins and waits for her music to fade before she steps in closer to her, smoothing out her sweatpants and cropped hoodie after her athletic display to get down here to the ring.

Sara: Let’s start from the beginning, Nora. I’ll join many others who already have, and say welcome to Future Shock!

Nora: Thank you Sara! It’s exciting to be here.

Sara: The first question on most people’s minds is what exactly brings you here? There’s no question a girl with your talent could likely go anywhere she wanted.

Nora: Honestly I wanted to expand my experiences, Sara. I’ve really only gotten to wrestle on the East Coast and this is a big country. Sure, you say that I could likely go anywhere I wanted, and well… here I am!

Sara: At Anarchy, we saw you come to the aid of referee Angela Keanan as she was being abused at the hands of Stacey Sky. Tell us what encouraged you to get involved when all you were here to do originally was be a special guest invited by Adam.

Nora: Honestly I just couldn’t stand by and watch that happen. Referees take a lot of flack in our business, you know? She’s a person like everyone else, not a… tool to send a message or something to be abused at whim. That’s just wrong!

Sara: Stacey has attacked me as well in the past, much like she did with the referee. Is it safe to assume that you don’t tolerate that kind of action?

Nora: I absolutely don’t. My trainer, Erlich Böhmer taught us that the only kind of people who attack people that can’t fight back are weak… and I’m a Harris. We’re not weak, no matter how short in stature some of us are!

Sara: Finally, Nora, I’m curious of your impressions of what all you’ve seen so far. You got to see quite a few Prospects at Anarchy. Do any of them interest you more than others? Has someone other than Stacey gotten your attention?

Nora: Everybody.

There’s a murmur from the fans and Sara looks puzzled a bit until Nora smiles that wide happy smile of hers.

Nora: I want to wrestle everybody, Sara. Everyone has something different to bring to the ring, at least I think so, and I’d love to see it all! I really think this was a great choice for me, especially when you think about that.

Sara: Thank you for joining me tonight, Nora! And once again, welcome to Future Shock!

The Boston crowd gives Nora a very loud reception before we cut to a commercial for the Glasgow Invasion show on June 12th.

Gaby is smiling brightly as Future Shock returns to the ring before she brings up her microphone to her lips.

Gaby: The following contest is your main event, and it is a PROSPECTS VERSUS THE WORLD match!

Lyn: It’s poll or punked tonight in this duel of angels!

Zack: You’re not kidding, and I have a feeling this crowd is going to lose it when Angelina gets out here. I’d put money on it.

The dark, haunting opening chords of “Liar Liar” fill the arena as it is bathed in silver strobes. As the drums and guitar kick in, the lights flash out momentarily and a spotlight comes on to show a man and a woman, The woman is Angel, and the man Christian Kincaid. Angel is down on bended knee, fist pushed into the ramp. She comes up without warning and as she does, pyro goes off around her.

Gaby: Making her way to the ring, please welcome ANGEL!

Would you pray if I said you were dying?
Would you be a little stronger, or fall down on your knees?
Would you stay with me if you knew that I was lying?
Would you walk away or turn the other cheek?

I tremble where I stand,
My wish is your command,
The nature of a truly desperate heart.
Give me something real so I can truly feel,
(Liar liar) on the wall.

As the verse and bridge are played, Angel and Christian make their way down the ramp, the platinum blond deliberately keeping as far from any fan contact that she can, looking to Christian occasionally. At the bottom of the ramp, she stops and looks out around her while Christian has headed to her corner.

Whisper, whisper in the dark,
Tell me what you see.
Poisoned by your fly-infested poetry.
Liar, Liar on the wall, give the world to me.
Wasteland or a monarchy (liar liar)
Tell me what you see…

Angel walks up the steps and through the middle rope, where she heads to her corner and waits for Christian to hop up to share some last minute things with her and the music goes out.

Zack: Angel is the most experienced woman on the Prospect roster. You could make the case she could have went straight to FFW right away, but she chose Future Shock. And tonight is her chance to prove she’s ready to take the next step.

Lyn: Which is interesting in that she may have more experience than her main roster opponent. I say “may” because her challenger does come from a wrestling family and that can account.

The techno beat of Britney Spears’ “Work Bitch” hits over the speakers and out walks Angelina Fantastica in a pair of pink aviator sunglasses and a matching satin baseball jacket with “Fantastica” emblazoned on the back in white script. She struts down the ramp, high-fiving fans and blowing kisses to the crowd as she works her way toward the ring.

Gaby: Introducing from Staten Island, New York… she is Angelina Fantastica!

As she gets to the end of the ramp Angelina takes a few steps back, tosses her jacket and sunglasses to the side, and takes a running leap toward the ring, somersaulting over the top rope and landing on her feet with a bright smile, stretching out her arms to wave to the crowd before making her way to her corner.

Zack: A rock star like ovation for Angelina Fantastica, who is coming back to Future Shock tonight for the first time in quite a while!

Lyn: They’re welcoming Fantastica back like nothing else. I think a chant is even breaking out.

Referee Ashley Pruitt checks both women, and calls for the bell before a loud “Welcome Back!” chant for Angelina starts in the crowd. It brings a wide smile to her face before she and Angel meet in the center of the ring. The chant continues, which doesn’t interest or amuse Angel in the slightest. As Angelina looks over the crowd with a mouthed “Thank you”, Angel kicks her in the stomach before teeing off with right hands to the side of her head. Five shots land on the mark before she follows up with a short arm clothesline. Angel puts a boot to her face before she looks down at her, and says “Welcome back.”

Lyn: ...Well, Angel’s welcome back manner is not surprise.

Zack: Angel is probably the one person out here right now who isn’t happy to see her. She sees Angelina as a road block.

As Fantastica starts to get up, Angel punts her in the ribs before she yanks her back to her feet. An Irish whip sends her into the far corner chest first with Angel barreling in behind her with a forearm to the back of her head. A back suplex follows that before she drops to one knee, and pummels the high flyer with straight right hands to the head. The crowd’s chant turned to boos at this point before Angel got back to her feet, taking off for the near side ropes and delivering a low dropkick to Angelina’s back when she sat up. Another rebound off the ropes saw her land a rolling senton, and once more drive shots into her head. This time though, it was with her elbow.

Zack: Angel doesn’t care if the crowd is happy to see Angelina or not. She wants on the graduation poll, and she’s giving Angelina a rough return visit to Boston with that in mind.

Lyn: Angel’s very much of the mind of it’s her or them, she chooses the self preservation option every time.

Fantastica rolled a couple feet away from her when Angel got up. As soon as the brunette started to get to her knees, Angel caught her with a savate kick to the ear that put her back on the mat. She dropped down to make the cover, pressing her forearm against Angelina’s head in the process while the referee counted.

Zack: What a shot! Angelina’s return is gonna become a nightmare!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOPE!!

Fantastica kicked out after the two. Angel immediately applied a headscissors, locking her ankles as she tried to squeeze the New Yorker’s head.

Lyn: A grounding headscissor headlock here. Nasty, but impressive stuff.

The platinum blonde rolled onto her stomach, and began bouncing Angelina’s head off the mat with her legs. An amused smirk formed on her face before she rolled back to a seat, and resumed exerting the pressure she was causing. Pruitt moved around to see if Angelina wanted to give up, and was told “NO” in no uncertain terms. Angel’s face tensed as she tried to add more pressure, while Angelina started to move. She got her feet under her, pressed her hands to the mat, and popped her head free of Angel’s grip. As soon as the blonde looked up, she caught a dropkick to the chest. Fantastica took a second to collect herself as Angel was starting to get up, and immediately began peppering her with rights and lefts to the head.

Lyn: Angel getting laid in as Angelina shows her how things go down in Shaolin.

Zack: Look at those hands getting thrown! Angelina’s scrappy as they come, and she’s got nothing but rights and lefts for Angel!

With the blonde reeling, Fantastica began using a series of European uppercuts to drive her back further. She took off for the ropes as Angel was trying to get her balance, only for Angelina to use a handspring into a tornado DDT that brought the crowd back to life. A smile started to form again on her face as she listened to them, and she bolted for the ropes. Angelina used them for a springboard  moonsault that landed perfectly. She hooked the leg in the process before the referee slid into position.

Zack: The pace has quickened, and Angelina is thriving! Angel may not be going anywhere after all!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NOPE!!!

Angel kicked out before the three, and Angelina got back to her feet. She pulled the platinum blonde up with her, and fired her across for the ride. As soon as she rebounded, Angelina grabbed her head and brought her down with a codebreaker before rolling through to her feet.

Lyn: Double knee facebuster and Angel might be seeing stars!

A double stomp to her back from Angelina folded Angel up on the mat for a brief moment until the New Yorker took off for the ropes again. Angel made it to her feet as Angelina was barreling towards her, and ducked her head to avoid whatever she had in mind. But Angelina rolled over her back, and applied an octopus stretch in the center of the ring. The crowd came to its feet as she had her body wrapped around Angel’s, causing the blonde to grimace in pain with Angelina in firm control.

Zack: I haven’t seen this move in a while, Lyn! Angel’s face tells you the story of how it feels though. This is definitely a wrinkle of her offense we haven’t seen much from Angelina.

Lyn: She’s been upping her game it looks like!

Angelina tried to tighten the grip as Angel lumbered one step forward, trying to make it to the ropes. Fantastica’s body could be seen twisting a bit, trying to add more pressure while the referee asked Angel repeatedly if she wanted to stop the match. Angel ignored her, and took another struggling step towards the ropes. She started to look a bit unstable on her feet at this point before she lunged forward with all she had, and managed to grab the middle rope. Pruitt called for the break before Angelina got back to her feet again. Angel collapsed to her knees as she tried to recover before Angelina bounced off the near side ropes with a hip check to her head that put her down on the mat.

Zack: She calls that the GLIMPSE OF HEAVEN, but I don’t think Angel enjoyed it in the slightest. She’s got her in major trouble here!

Lyn: Angel may have to wait until the next poll before she leaves Future Shock proper!

Fantastica hit the ropes once again as Angel was starting to get up, and delivered an axe kick to the back of her head. It dropped her onto the mat before Fantastica rolled her onto her back and went for the cover!

Lyn: Scissor kick and here’s the pin!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!!

Angel put her leg across the bottom rope before the three came down. Angelina popped back to her feet, pointing towards the corner to another pop from the crowd before she headed up top.

Zack: Like her or not, Angel is astoundingly resilient. And Angelina’s going to the high rent district looking to put this match to bed!

Angelina perched herself on the top rope as Angel got to her feet. But the blonde surprised her by running the ropes, causing Fantastica to land straddling the top turnbuckle. Angel leaned against the ropes gathering herself while Angelina sat in pain on the top turnbuckle. The blonde finally made her way towards her, firing forearms into the side of her head before she followed her up. She placed her head under one arm, and delivered a superplex from the top rope that bounced Fantastica off the mat. Angel rolled over, and threw an arm across the FFW star as the referee slid into position.

Lyn: Where did that superplex come from!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!!!

Angelina’s shoulder came off the mat in time, and Angel rolled onto her back on the mat. Both women lay on the canvas trying to recuperate as the referee began her ten count. It was Angel who sat up first at the count of five.

Zack: You can see the toll these two women have put one another though, and I don’t think either of them has a lot left in the reserves the way this match is going.

Angel finally got back to her feet, and pulled Angelina up with her. She shoved her head between her legs, and grabbed her around the waist to lift her into a piledriver. Angel got back to her feet, seemingly thinking about something before she headed for the corner. The blonde made her way to the top rope, and came off with an elbow drop! But Fantastica rolled out of the way, once more reviving the crowd who had gone quiet. They began chanting her name again as she slowly rose back to her feet, feeding off their energy.

Zack: Look at Angelina! These fans are putting life and adrenaline back into that small body, and she may have found her second wind! Angel’s in trouble if she has!

Lyn: Few wrestlers can have such a connection, such a simultaneous heartbeat in line with the fans like Fantastica does!

Angel had rolled towards the ropes, trying to get back to her feet. Fantastica hit the other side’s ropes, and bounced back looking for a clothesline. But Angel ducked it, and used a back body drop to send Angelina over the top rope. But with an amazing show of agility, Angelina landed on her feet on the apron. Angel turned back to see her, and caught a shoulder thrust to the stomach that doubled her over. The brunette dove over the top rope into a sunset flip, causing Angel to stagger as Angelina tried to pull her down.

Zack: Fantastica with a sunset flip! She’s trying to bring Angel down with her!

Instead Angel fell to her knees, pinning Angelina as the referee slid into position to count. Angel grabbed the middle rope over the referee’s head in the process!

Lyn: Angel desperate on this pin and grabbing a fist of rope to boot!

ONE!!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

The referee called for the bell as Angel let go immediately, and rolled out to the floor with her manager. The live crowd booed loudly as Angelina sat up, trying to tell the referee what happened.

Lyn: Wait. What!? This... Well okay then.

Gaby: Here is your winner by pinfall…………..ANGEL!!!

Zack: By hook or by crook, and that’s definitely crook, Angel has made her way to the graduation poll with Rose!

Christian helped Angel stay on her feet, as it was obvious she was exhausted. Angelina continued to explain her case to the referee, who informed her she didn’t see it before she rolled to the outside to raise Angel’s hand.

Zack: Angelina got robbed here, but the referee can’t call what she didn’t see! Angel may be heading to FFW sooner than later!

Lyn: Looks like as far as Angel is concerned, if the zebra didn’t see it, it’s legal.

Angelina glared daggers at the blonde on the floor, who told her “Welcome back” with a smirk on her face as Future Shock faded off the air.
