Live from the Future Shock Arena in Boston, Massachusetts
January 29, 2019

The FFW logo is shown on the side of a building until someone spray paints the Future Shock symbol over it as engines begin revving in the background. The shot spins around to see a race track with all types of sports cars racing their engines until a redhead in short shorts and a black top drops the green flag! “Confident” by Demi Lovato begins to play as Brianna watches the cars peel out from the behind the starting line.

It's time for me to take it
I'm the boss right now
Not gonna fake it
Not when you go down
'Cause this is my game
And you better come to play

The shot then cuts to a clip of Harley Shannon becoming a two time Future Shock Champion in Sydney. Mikalya and Melody Stone congratulate their sister, Madyson, after a win in the Garden. Katie Hanley flashes a peace sign to the camera with a smile.  The next shot takes us back to the race as Nora Harris looks into the rearview mirror to see a muscle car driven by Lydia Charisma, who gives her a thumbs up. Another car shows us the Cortez sisters in the front seats, and tossing a few nails out of both windows onto the road behind them.

I used to hold my freak back
Now I'm letting go
I make my own choice
Bitch, I run this show
So leave the lights on
No, you can't make me behave

We cut to a shot from a nightclub as Cait Flanagan is casting a stare as she sings a song in a short dress. “Midnight” Mila Martin is seen smiling as a large crowd in the Staples Center gives her a loud response. Mara Werth cracks her knuckles as she looks across the ring at her opponent. Vivi Robichaud bumps fists with Mars Whimsey before they head towards the camera, and then we’re back to the race.

What's wrong with being, what's wrong with being
What's wrong with being confident?

Katie Keller is shown watching with binoculars from the pit area. The shot changes back to the cars as Celeste slams on the gas, and barrels towards the finish line not too far ahead. Gaining speed on her is Sydney Christensen though before the camera spins towards the finish line. There in the winner’s circle is a chuckling Kyle Kilmeade surrounded by Valerie McKinley, Lacey, Cassandra Steen, Stacey Sky, and Elizabeth Lannister. The cars on the track pick up speed towards the finish line before we fade on the Future Shock logo and then inside the arena to a roaring crowd with spotlights moving in all directions over them.

Zack: The Future Shock Arena is filled to capacity, because the Prospects and future stars of FFW have returned to Boston! We are on a collision course headed for Mexico City on February 26th, but tonight we got some work to do. I’m Zack Hudson, joined by “The” Steph Stefano, for what should be a very interesting night ahead.

Steph: The ratings alone are going to be all over the place. The demographics, Zack! Think of the demographics!

Zack: In our main event, the Cortez twins team up officially for the first time in Future Shock to face Vivi Robichaud and Mars Whimsey. And neither one of them have any soft feelings for the twin terror that is Tara and Luna.

Steph: A year of having Future Shock on a keel and THIS is the first time they team up Zack. It kinda puts things into perspective, doesn’t it?

Zack: Cassandra Steen’s singles undefeated streak is on the line when she goes one on one with Sydney Christensen. What a win it would be for Sydney to end that streak, and I suspect she could probably write her own ticket to an Aspire Championship shot! Would you agree?

Steph: Without a shadow of a doubt! Now I like anyone with the last name Steen. I can appreciate the differences between siblings... But Sydney could be the one... The one putting an L in the column that is.

Zack: We’re also set for a public workout for Cait Flanagan, who has yet to compete in a Future Shock ring. I’m not sure what her and her manager have in store, but we’ll find out before we leave the air tonight.

Steph: My daughter can offer the best workout advice, Zack. Trust in her. So what if she hasn’t competed in Future Shock yet. Rome was not built in a day!

Zack: We’re also due a visit from none other than Tiffany Tompkins. The “Murder Machine” is here in Boston, and apparently Adam has something in mind just for her.

Steph: Her name and her fame precedes her, Zack. I don’t know what Adam has planned but I bet it might have something to do with the super show perhaps? Just a guess.

Zack: And if that’s not enough special guests for you, you’re gonna see Jessica Anderson face Lacey tonight too. Lacey will have SVW’s Adrenaline Champion and one of your more vocal critics in her corner, Wilma Iris Napier. But Jessica has “Bubbles” herself, Carli Davis, watching her back. I think we got all the ingredients for a combustible situation in that one.

Steph: Jessica versusing Lacey would have sold itself and adding in Carli? Great. I don’t recognize the rest of what you said though, Zack. Something about a tiny blonde child that Child Protective Services doesn’t know what to do with?

Zack: I’m being told we have some pre-recorded comments with Wilma actually. Let’s go see what the “Silver Spoon Sweetheart” had to say.

~ ~

Recorded Earlier Tonight….

The back entrance doors to the Future Shock Arena open when we see Kyle Kilmeade walking alongside one of tonight’s special guests: Wilma Iris Napier. A third is behind them, carrying their bags. Both are about to pass the camera before they stop when Kyle speaks to the viewers.

Kyle: Since you’re recording this for the show later tonight, allow me to introduce to the 12 of you who just woke up from a coma who this woman is. Her name is Wilma Iris Napier, and is SVW’s multiple time Adrenaline Champion. The reason I point that out is that apparently there’s some discussion on why she’s here.

He gives the small blonde his full attention.

Kyle: Would you like to explain that for the viewers?

Wilma smiles towards Kyle before addressing the camera directly.

Wilma: Well dear, valued viewers, after hosting the most successful episode of Aftershock yet, I was asked by my best friend and Future Shock legend, Lacey, to be in her corner as the...ugh. Powertuff girls are known to get involved in one another’s matches. While I don’t have the managerial prowess that Kyle here has, I have no problem in making sure that lunatic stays out of the match.

Kyle: While it’s nice that Adam likes to throw a bone to people like Jessica who have been on a retirement tour supposedly for a while now, it becomes a different matter when it’s someone I represent. And as soon as he decided to have Jessica face Lacey and put a trained wrestler across from me...merely a manager….that’s when a change had to be made. And that’s what Wilma is here to do. One, even the odds in case the Troll doll decides to come after me for no warranted reason. And two, because she’s always been Lacey’s biggest supporter and her best friend too.

Wilma: Absolutely I have! Lacey and Wilma are the most well recognized duo in wrestling and if you mess with one of us you can damn well be sure the other one will have something to say about it.

Wilma pats the Adrenaline championship around her waist for emphasis.

Wilma: And as a champion, I know a thing or two about overcoming odds and having back up is just what the doctor ordered.

Kyle offered her his arm as they turned to head away with the camera following along.

Kyle: I got some friends who are very eager to meet you in person that will be here shortly, if they aren’t already. And hey, while you are out there with me, you can even say hi to Steph in the booth if you want.

Wilma: One of those sounds much better than the other. If you’ll excuse us.

She calls back as the pair of them walk out of view.

~ ~ ~

Steph: Zack what is her appeal? Can you tell me? I just need to know.

Zack: Let’s send it to up to the “Wildcat” and get things rolling tonight on Future Shock. Take it away, Gaby!

The cameras take us to the ring, and find the smiling form of Gabrielle Crimson standing in the center of the ring.

Gaby: The opening contest of Future Shock is scheduled for one fall to a finish.

Zack: We’re about to find out if the singles win streak of Cassandra Steen can withstand a veteran challenge tonight, Steph.

Steph: I’m interested in answering this question myself. We don’t have tale of the tape but we have the next best thing. This roll of tape... Who wrote this? Mickey? Last time I hire her for my jokes.

The sound of a guitar strumming subtly begins to echo in the arena, leaving those in attendance wondering what is going on. The angelic voice of one Lzzy Hale of the band Halestorm is heard next, her voice serenely starting the opening verse of “I Am The Fire.”

Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough?
To follow the desire
That burns from within
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
I am through with this
'Cause I am more than this
I promise to myself
Alone and no one else
My flame is rising higher.

As the song picks up the tempo, her voice becomes more intense, kicking into the chorus.

I am the fire
I am burning brighter
Roaring like a storm

Midway through the chorus, the curtains part and out walks the pride of Calgary herself, Sydney Christensen.  She steps out to the middle of the stage and juts her arms out on either side of her, tossing her head back as the fans show their appreciation. She picks her head up and slowly brings her arms in front of her, her index fingers pointing down to the ring. Dropping her arms to her side, she begins her march towards the ring, nodding at a few fans along the way. Once she reaches the ring, she hops up onto the apron and steps through the bottom and middle ropes. Almost immediately, Sydney walks over to the ropes and raises her arms above her head, encouraging the fans as they cheer on the proud Canadian. Sydney then walks over to one corner of the ring and rests her back against the turnbuckle, awaiting her opponent as her music fades out on one poignant line of the chorus.

And I am the one I've been waiting for
Screaming like a siren
Alive and burning back
I am the fire!

Gaby: Introducing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, this is…...SYDNEY CHRISTENSEN!!

Zack: Sydney is looking to build her name further here in Future Shock. She’s made history everywhere she’s been pretty much. And our resident from HELL plans to do the same in Future Shock.

Steph: She could get on the road to that with just one win tonight. She seemed particularly interested in putting down a member of the Gold Standard so there you go.

The opening bars of “You Call Me A Bitch Like It’s A Bad Thing” begin to play through the speakers around the arena and the lights on the stage go out leaving it darkness.

You took me to your little crib
Guess it must have been a big deal
Got me starring in your wet dream
Now it's time to get real
I'm not looking for love
No not today
But you call me up and had the nerve to say
See you next Tuesday

A white spotlight hits the centre of stage to see Cassandra Steen standing in the middle of it, wearing blue ring gear accompanied by her manager Kyle Kilmeade. The crowd instantly show their disdain for the pair with a loud chorus of boos. Cassandra does not seem phased at all by this and in fact seems to revel in it. A smirk curling on her lips as she surveys the crowd.

You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing
You call me a freak like that means something
Can't get your way so you're sulking
I think we know the rest
Get it off your chest
I don't give a shit
I love it when you call me a bitch like it's a bad thing

Kyle extends his arm towards Cassandra and she accepts it to allow him to escort her down the ramp to the ring. Neither of them seeming particularly bothered by the less than favourable yells from the crowd.

Gaby: Making her way to the ring, from Leeds, England and accompanied by her manager, Kyle Kilmeade, she is ……………….CASSANDRA STEEN!

You show up everywhere I go
Get a grip you're acting so weird
I don't need your jager bombs
I think I can take it from here
You gotta learn to leave when the party ends
I don't really care what you tell your friends
Tell me again

As they reach the ring, Cassandra climbs the steps and takes a moment to look around at the crowd. Kyle holds the ropes open for her, as she climbs into the ring between the middle and top ropes. Kyle follows and the pair share a few hushed words in the centre of the ring.

You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing
You call me a freak like that means something
Can't get your way so you're angry
I think we know the rest
Get it off your chest
I don't give a shit
I love it when you call me a bitch

Cassandra’s music comes to and end and as it fades out, she makes her way to her corner, leaning back against the turnbuckles and resting one arm on the ropes beside her.

Zack: It’s gonna be a busy night for the Gold Standard, no question about it. But if there was someone who was long on confidence, it’s Cassandra Steen. Given her run, she has every reason to feel that way, Steph.

Steph: It’s something about an undefeated streak that just makes you feel untouchable, Zack. Of course Cassandra already felt that way so she probably feels like kinda artifact in a glass case in a museum with lasers all around her.

Referee Ashley Pruitt checks both women as Gaby leaves the ring, and then calls for the bell to start the match. Cassandra looks over the crowd, all of which are showing her no love whatsoever before she heads towards the center with a cross look on her face. She extends her hand to Sydney for a handshake, which Christensen seems reluctant to do so. The blonde slowly goes to take it, and shake her hand before Steen catches her with a kick in the gut and then jerks her forward into a forearm across the mouth. The fans only boo louder as Cassandra works her over with repeated forearms to the side of her head, and then uses a snapmare to bring her down to the mat into a rear chinlock.

Steph: Forearm. Forearm. There’s a forearm. Another forearm. Hey she-- forearm. Forearm... SNAPMARE! YAHTZEE!

Zack: She may not be well-liked, but you can’t argue with the fact that Cassandra is as sound as anyone who has been in the ring here for the time she has. The scary part is she can only improve.

Sydney looked irritated as she pulled at the brunette’s hands, trying to separate her hands. It was working too until Cassandra pulled one hand free, and started raining forearms down across her chest. A series of elbows landed against her shoulder before she pulled Sydney to her feet into a side headlock. She wasted little time in driving her headfirst into the middle turnbuckle, then following up with a bulldog back to the mat. The side headlock was applied again as Cassandra laid her out on the mat.

Zack: Cassandra’s made that side headlock a focal point of her strategy tonight. Sydney is certainly stronger than her, but that advantage is entirely negated on the mat.

Steph: Mat wrestling is the great equalizer of the squared circle, Zack. That and crotch shots.

Sydney started to get back to her feet again, while Cassandra kept the side headlock applied. She went to shoot her off into the ropes, but Steen grabbed her hair and yanked her back into the headlock again. It was clear that the Canadian was getting annoyed now. This time, she scooped up and broke the hold with an atomic drop. It sent the brunette forward a couple steps awkwardly before Sydney rebounded off the near side with a lariat that planted her on the canvas.

Zack: That’ll break a side headlock every day of the week right there, and that lariat almost turned the “Corporate Killer” inside out!

Steph: I think Cassandra just got... Downsized.

With an angry look on her face, Sydney pulled Cassandra back to her feet and immediately scooped her for a fallaway slam. Steen almost rolled into the ropes before Sydney stopped her, and dragged her back to the center. She quickly scooped her up into a stalling vertical suplex. She held her there as the fans counted the seconds all the way to nine before driving her down in the mat.

Zack: You wanna talk about some power! It’s not the ride that hurts, folks. It’s the sudden stop at the end.

Steph: You can see that Syd really works on those squats with her lower base. The ease of which she keeps Cassandra up.

The Calgary native took off towards the far side ropes as Cassandra was beginning to get to her feet. As soon as she did, Christensen landed a bicycle kick that knocked her back to the mat. She scooped her into a rear waistlock and used a deadlift to pull her up, snapping off a trifecta of German suplexes before bridging up for the pin on the third one! Pruitt immediately slid into position.

Steph: German suplex bonanza! I especially love the deadlift there. It was a gorgeous thing.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOPE!!

Steen managed to raise her shoulder just after the two, and was shoved to the mat. Sydney rose back to her feet, pulling her up from behind again to fire shots into her lower back. She finally shoved her forward into the ropes, and snapped her arms around her waist again. But she couldn’t snap her hips for the suplex as Kyle grabbed his client’s hands from the floor.

Zack: Look at that! Cassandra was about to go for a round of suplexes, but Sydney can’t do anything with Kilmeade holding her--THERE WE GO!!

The referee kicked their hands, causing Kyle to let go before Sydney launched Cassandra with a release German suplex that sent her sliding across the mat. The Boston crowd got loudly behind her as she went to get her. Cassandra grabbed the ropes to get to her feet as Christensen snatched her around the waist again. But this time, Steen pulled the referee to her and used a mule kick between Sydney’s legs to drop her to the mat.

Steph: What did I JUST say about the crotch shot. WHAT. DID. I. JUST. SAY.

Zack: That’s the great equalizer. It doesn’t matter how talented or big you are, you still have the same….weaknesses as everyone else.

Pruitt looked back to Sydney on her knees in pain with a confused look as Cassandra gathered herself for a second. She spun around to deliver a shining wizard to the back of her head, which was followed up with a knee drop. Kyle gave his client some applause (he was the only one) as she watched Sydney starting to rise. She quickly grabbed her into position for a cradle DDT before rolling her over for the cover with a hook of the leg.

Zack: A little INSIDER TRADING for Sydney, and Cassandra’s streak will remain intact tonight!

ONE!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NOPE!!

Sydney got her shoulder up off the mat, and Cassandra wasted no time in getting back to her feet. She scooped Sydney with her, and hooked her by the head again. But whatever she had in mind was derailed when the blonde drove her backwards into the corner. It knocked the wind out of Cassandra before Sydney sat her on the top rope. She climbed up with her, and executed a superplex that brought the crowd to its feet.

Steph: Fun fact kids, insider trading isn’t AS illegal as you would think, but there are some complexities that vary country to-- SUPERPLEX!!

The Calgary native rolled over on top of her for the cover before the referee slid into position to make the count.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Zack: And again, Cassandra shows why she’s been so hard to defeat! But neither one of them can have too much left in the tank after all this.

Once again, Cassandra’s shoulder came off the canvas. Sydney rolled away from her, and started to get back to her feet. The Gold Standard member started to move as well before Sydney scooped her up into a torture rack backbreaker. Steen’s face was a mask of pain as Sydney held her, and the referee moved around quickly to check for a submission!

Steph: Argentine backbreaker and that looks like the last place Cassandra wants to be! That or Club Fed and man can I relate to everything about this. The backbreaking, the white collar suffering. It speaks to me, Zack.

Zack: I bet it does. Your love of backbreakers is well known, and I’m sure you’re quickly developing a fondness for Sydney.

Sydney started bouncing her on her shoulders, further increasing the pain as the referee continued to ask for the submission. Cassandra reached for the ropes, but Sydney had her in the center of the ring. Her face wrenched in pain as Steen’s back was in agony, causing a very nervous Kyle to be seen on the outside.

Zack: I think we may be close to a submission here, Steph! Sydney’s got Cassandra dead to rights, and that torture rack isn’t getting any more comfortable!

Steph: Kyle’s almost ready to bite his nails here. I mean probably not but yes, very nervous!

The referee asked again before Cassandra managed to scratch Sydney’s eyes, blinding her long enough for the brunette to pull her over into a crucifix rollup! The referee dove into position amidst a chorus of boos from the crowd.

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

Sydney got free, and rolled away with her hand pressed to her eyes. Kyle beseeched his client to get up, which Cassandra was starting to do.

Steph: Kyle is all but trying to rally Cassandra and I know why. That attack to Sydney’s eyes only slowed her down. Eventually she will get back up and the whole thing starts again.

Zack: Rally her? He’s trying to will her back to her feet. He doesn’t like to see any of the Gold Standard come up short.

Cassandra made it back to her feet a couple seconds before a still partially blinded Sydney did. She swooped around behind her, stalking her with a pained expression due to her back.

Zack: Cassandra’s lined up for something, and you can bet she wants to be done with this match sooner than later!

Steen made her move, grabbing her into position for her cobra clutch driver. Sydney was spiked onto the mat before Steen immediately went for the cover. The referee slid into position before Cassandra put both her feet on the ropes.

Steph: HOSTILE TAKEOVER!! I haven’t seen one this bad since Nasdaq and Euronext!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

The boos rained from the crowd as Cassandra rolled off the cover, and made it back to her feet. Kyle joined her in the ring, letting her lean against him as the referee raised her hand in victory.

Gaby: Here’s your winner by pinfall…………...CASSANDRA STEEN!!

Zack: Steen’s singles undefeated streak rolls on, and you can see the damage that torture rack is still causing, Steph.

Steph: Oof. It immediately raises a question in my mind, Zack. If Elizabeth falls, perhaps there’s another Gold Standard member who wants to... Ehem. Aspire.

Kyle helped her out of the ring, raising her hand again to the booing crowd. Steen ignored the catcalls of the fans, instead basking in the praise of her manager as they headed to the back.

Steph: Not exactly beloved here, Zack but not too shocking given how little she cares. She’s certainly here just for her, herself, and Kyle.

Zack: Well this isn’t about who the fans love most, and that’ll likely never be Cassandra. But she adds another W to the record books tonight.

As the pair disappeared through the curtain, Future Shock took its first commercial break.

Decision Time

We head backstage where the first image is that of the solid silver main plate of the Aspire Championship with three of the five lights currently lit up. The green light, the purple light, and the red light shining brightly. The blue and yellow of course are still turned off. The camera slowly zooms out to show The Six String Sinner, the Rawk of Ages, Lydia Charisma is standing with her championship in her arms as though she was about to hand it off. The camera pans to show the Future Shock Director Adam Grant standing by waiting for Lydia’s decision seemingly.

Adam: Hey there, Lydia. Always good to see you. I know what this is about, so what’s going through your mind?

Lydia: Now I wanted to do this face-to-face with you Adam, partly because well you’re the boss and the other part is because of Kyle gloating about what I said in my promotional video for my last defense against Mila. I mean as far as Wilma seems to be concerned the only smart move would me being putting this title in your hands and going for a shot at the Future Shock championship. I’m sure the whole of the Standard will call me a coward too and Kyle. Well he’s all but saying he’s got some strategy he can’t wait to show Elizabeth.

The Aspire Champion rolls her eyes.

Lydia: So about this decision.

Adam: I’m all ears. And I’d take anything Kyle says with a grain of salt.

Lydia: ...That time in my career I was thinking for a moment of just joining forces with Kyle, and I know. You don’t like the guy. I don’t like the guy either but for a BRIEF moment... It was a struggle. A struggle that I kept seemingly dealing with his clients at every waking moment, a struggle that I couldn’t get away. When I was contracted by SVW, it felt like a kick in the teeth that I was on Uprising and Cody traded me for Harmony. I mean yeah, I got it, bigger star right but getting thrown to the wolves a little bit, much? Anyway... That was a struggle. That moment of weakness was just that. A moment. Because Adam... My entire career I’ve never let it be easy. Getting trained by part of Lyn’s first class? He had connects all across the industry, could send is at least on the right track of where we wanted to go... I turned him down and went my own way. Being just a super tall beanpole after dropping a heck of a lot of weight as a teenager, and being the statuesque stunner you see before you. My own way. I mean... Check the biceps.

The Aspire Champion grins, flexing an arm before going back to her point.

Lydia: Even with that moment of weakness and there’s been a lot of them, I always make the right decision. I always take the path of most resistance, even with the temptation to take the easy way out, because that’s what Kyle woulda been no matter how much all those Gold Standard girls try and pretend otherwise. Easy. Way. Out.

Adam: I can’t argue that at all, Lydia. He has some fantastic talent, but they’ll learn it’s harder to be a major star in a group as opposed to doing it yourself. But that’s another discussion. What do you want to do?

Charisma patted the championship on her shoulder.

Lydia: So... I think I’d rather continue the journey I’ve been going on, right? I’m thinking hashtag Looking For Five continues. Because I’ll be damned if a certain Lioness gets her grubby little well manicured hands on this baby without a fight and Adam... It’s me. It’s always gonna be a fight. The whole of the damn Gold Standard can come out and I’ll have a Nirvanaclasm for every. Last. One. Of. Them. Because I’m ooozzziiinnngg... Well. You know.

Adam: Oh, I know. In that case, it’s official for Mexico City when you defend that title against the “Lioness” Elizabeth Lannister. Good luck, champ!

Lydia offers a handshake to the director and grins as a blurb for the Aspire Championship match pops up.

Twin Terror

A graphic reminds us of the main event later tonight before we cut to the locker room of the Cortez Sisters, along with their manager, Christian Kincaid.

Christian: Tonight, everyone gets to see the tag team debut of Luna and Tara. So far, you’ve only seen them in singles matches where they remain unpinned, much less never having submitted. But most of you know me for my tag team experience. And now well over a year after their debut, you’re going to see them through new eyes. Because believe me when I tell you I have got these two girls working as one….and that would be the case if they didn’t look like one another.

The twins take a step forward and smirk. Their attire have a “Hello, I am…” design to it showing their names, which is very convenient for this moment.

Luna: Tara and I have been a team since our inception. We came to this world together, we’ve grown up together, learned together, became wrestling aces together, and there’s no YouTube sensation’s diamond plaque or voodoo doctor’s friends on the other side that’s going to get in the way of Luna and Tara Cortez’s ascension to glory. Let me be even more clear for those in the bleachers who haven’t quite gotten the memo: tonight, you’ll be able to feast your eyes on the perfection of execution that is your next FFW Future Shock Champions’ ring dance.

Tara: Now… We don’t really expect Mars Whimsey or Vivienne Robichaud to learn any lesson tonight -- I mean, Vivi has been trying to get on our bad side for months now and all she managed to do was look like a whiny little pup who forgot where they buried their latest bone -- but hopefully this WILL be a message for Harley Shannon, and for anyone who believes they know how to deal with the Cortez Twins: you don’t. You don’t know how to deal with us. Because for over a year, we have been undefeated. And this will continue on for the foreseeable future, because it’s not really in our plans to stop winning.

Christian: Of all the titles in this company, do you know that I have never managed the Future Shock Champion? Not one time. And that’s something I certainly want to change when we get to Mexico City on the 26th at the supershow. I mean Mexico City is practically these two girls’ backyards being from across the border in Fort Worth. And while I have no issue at all with Harley Shannon, the fact remains that as much as I want to manage the Future Shock Champion, Tara wants to be it MORE. And in a little while from now, Mars and Vivi will it firsthand too.

Tara chuckles and shakes her head.

Tara: You know they say everything’s bigger in Texas. The same works here. I’m a bigger talent, I have the bigger hunger, and I possess the bigger ability. But instead of telling Harley to just not bother going south of the border, I want her to be able to appreciate the fact that her paper reign will end when she gets beaten by a bonafide mastermind, a prodigy of this industry. And that, my friends, is going to be just the beginning of the Cortez Era in FFW.

Luna: Because after my sister is done with Harley and we’re the new FFW Future Shock Champions, there’s no telling where we’ll stop. We’ll go grab the Fast Track Championship, the Unity Championship-- Heck, why stop there when we can dominate FFW as a whole with our intellect and become the next FFW Champions?!

This brings a grin to their manager’s face.

Christian: I like that drive. I like that alot. But first things first, we got a tag team match against two women who have never teamed in life, much less all their life. And you know what?

He gave Luna his attention next.

Christian: I’m gonna go have a talk with Adam. No reason that the Mexico City supershow can’t be a spotlight for you too. Two is always twice as good as one.

Luna grins and nods.

Luna: Double the Cortez, double the fun.

Christian: Could be Future Shock’s first 20 star show!

Luna and Tara look at one another and smile widely.

Luna: The Cortez Show?

Tara: The Cortez Show.

They then look at the cameras again.

Tara: Future Shock fans in Mexico City… Rejoice! Because when FFW goes below the border, you will be greeted with the biggest stars this company can offer you!

And then the two flash their respective 10-Star Rings to the camera.

Luna: All. Twenty. Stars.

The show cuts elsewhere as Christian goes to find Adam.

The show returns to the ring, and finds the “Wildcat” front and center with her microphone ready to begin.

Gaby: The following special attraction is scheduled for one fall to a finish.

Zack: Steph, we are about to see Jessica Anderson back in a Future Shock ring for the first time in a while. She’s a regular visitor here, and was quite eager to take this match when it was offered on our last episode.

Steph: We know the woman can go, so it’ll be interesting to watch her here against this particular brand of opponent.

"I wish I was tall, I wish I was fast
Wish I could show up with a bag full of cash"

Jessica Anderson emerges from behind the curtain with a smile plastered upon her features. She places her right hand on her hip and tilts her head slightly, smiling brightly as she looks out at the crowd. She glances behind her as the pink-haired Carli joins her. The two bump hips, and head for the ring.

"I wish I had style, I wish I had flash
I wish I woke up with a butt and a rack
'Cause if I want you, I gotta have that"

Gaby: Accompanied to the ring by CARLI DAVIS, she’s from Worcester, England and weighing in at 119 pounds... JESSICA ANDERSON!

Jessica begins to make her way briskly down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans along the way . She reaches the ring and scales one step at a time, before straddling the middle rope. Carli rolls under the bottom rope, and bounces up to her feet as she glances back to Jessica. The Brit pauses for a brief moment, mouthing a ‘thank you’ in the direction of the crowd, before pulling her body into the ring. She scales the turnbuckle and raises both hands aloft before she hops down from the turnbuckle, once again adopting the appreciative look as she looks around with Carli giving her applause and a hug when she comes down.

Zack: Given the fact that Lacey’s got extra backup in her corner tonight, I don’t blame Jessica for having Carli Davis with her for this match. They call themselves the PowerTuff Girls.

Steph: I guess that makes Lacey & Wilma Princess and Mojo Jojo.

The lights dim as the opening bars of “Turn You On” by Stitched Up Heart hit the speakers around the arena.

Are you awake, You're gonna have to hear the words I say
Don't you try turn away, I'm everything you ever dreamed I'd be
I'll make you wish that you never talked, Back to me
I can't wait to watch your ego bleed
Your pain will set me free

A red spotlight hits the curtain and Kyle Kilmeade walks out and proceeds to hold it open for Lacey to walk through. Stepping onto the stage in front of Kyle, Lacey wears a green and black one piece, which has a deep vee cut all the way to her navel, black fishnet tights and matching green and black boots. She runs her hands down her curves, while giving a little sway of her hips and then stands with her arms folded across her chest and her head lowers.  She is joined by Wilma Iris Napier, who flashes a smile to Kyle as they stand behind the redhead.

I'd bite I'd scratch I'd hold you down, Just to turn you on
I'd leave you waiting tied and bound, Just to turn you on
Close your eyes, And come with me tonight
I'd burn this whole room to the ground, Just to turn, just to turn you on

She snaps her head up and flings her arms out at the sides of her in one fluid motion, almost as if someone has just pulled the strings on a puppet. Keeping her gaze straight ahead she slowly smirks before lowering her arms to her sides and making her way down the ramp with Kyle and Wilma walking beside her.

I'll make you beg, I'm gonna teach you things you won't forget
Don't you try turn away, I'm everything you ever dreamed I'd be
I'll make you wish that you never talked, Back to me
I can't wait to watch your ego bleed
Your pain will set me free

Gaby: Making her way to the ring at this time….from parts unknown…she is one half of the Future Shock Tag Team Champions…….representing the Gold Standard.....LAAAAACEEEEEY!!!

I'd bite I'd scratch I'd hold you down, Just to turn you on
I'd leave you waiting tied and bound, Just to turn you on
Close your eyes, And come with me tonight
I'd burn this whole room to the ground, Just to turn, just to turn you on

Completely ignoring the crowd at either side of the ramp, Lacey speeds up as she reaches the ring and jumps up onto the apron. Taking hold of the top rope with both hands, she slowly and seductively sways her hips and wiggles her way down and back up, almost like a serpent, before springboarding over the top rope. When she lands in the ring she immediately drops down into the splits and stays there for a moment with her arms outstretched. After getting back to her feet, she climbs up onto the top turnbuckle facing the outside. Pulling something from her top she opens her palm and blows the contents into the crowd.

I can't wait to watch your ego bleed
And all the pain you feel will set you free
If you behave this night will never end
Turn off the lights and start again

The lights shut off completely for a second at the end of the theme, when they come back on, Lacey is standing in her corner sharing some last minute words with Kyle and her bestie.

Zack: It’s bad enough that you have to keep an eye on Kilmeade during Gold Standard matches, but even with Carli out here, I think having Wilma too is a little unfair.

Steph: A little? We might be past that point of a little, Zack.

Referee Ashley Pruitt checked both women before calling for the bell. Lacey moves to the center, giving an unimpressed stare down to Carli on the floor before she looked back to Jessica. The redhead immediately began berating her, and telling her to kneel in front of her. Jessica looked a little reluctant, glancing back to Carli…..and then surprising Lacey with a dropkick to the chest. She popped back up before Anders started unloading with right hands one after another. The crowd got much louder as she fired Lacey across to the far side. The redhead rebounded quickly right into another dropkick to the chest. Carli grinned from ringside as she watched, and Jessica used a double stomp to Lacey’s back before she could get up again.

Steph: Double stomp by Jessica and working on that back with impunity. Well not impunity, more like revelry. Yeah I like that word. Revelry.

Zack: A fine choice of verbiage, and you’re right. Jessica’s working over her back, and almost picking up with the strategy Sydney had earlier against Cassandra.

The veteran yanked her by the arm to her feet, and whipped her across into the nearest corner. She followed her in with a discus forearm to the mouth, then held a finger to her lips. Jessica leaned back, and delivered a stinging knife edge chop to Lacey’s flesh that resonated through the arena. Two more landed before she grabbed her head and executed a lungblower. She immediately dove on top of her for the cover as Pruitt slid into position.

Zack: There’s a lot of air in those lungs to blow out, and Jessica’s already looking to put a period on this match!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOPE!!

Lacey kicked out after the two, and Jessica followed up with a few more forearms across her chest when she tried to sit up. The brunette pulled her to her feet, and whipped her across to the far side...only for Lacey to drop down and slide out to the floor with her manager and Wilma.

Steph: Lacey looking to get a pep talk I think. Or a rest break.

The referee began to count Lacey out, but Jessica rolled out around the corner to go get her. The Brit charged around the corner, aiming straight for Lacey….until Wilma stuck her foot out and tripped her to the floor. Lacey immediately took advantage of the opening, and started stomping away at her. She jerked her to her feet, and bounced her head off the apron. It was about this time Carli camea round after Wilma, sending the blonde to the next corner.

Steph: ...Or help. Lacey is looking to get help.

Zack: Of course. That’s the only reason to have Wilma or Kyle out here. To help her succeed by hook or by crook.

As the referee continued her count, Lacey bounced Jessica’s head off the post before shoving her back under the bottom rope. She slid into the ring after her, and got back to her feet. With her arms outstretched, the only applause she was getting was from her manager and Wilma. She glanced back to see Jessica starting to rise before shouting “KNEEL BEFORE ME!” and leveling her with a running big boot to the head. Pleased with herself, she dropped down to the mat and quickly applied a headscissors.

Zack: This is one of Lacey’s favorite moves. And you can bet those legs feel like a boa constrictor around Jessica’s head, trying to make her black out.

Steph: Unironically, she calls that other maneuver KNEEL BEFORE ME. Matt Stone would probably be proud.

Anderson tried to pull herself free, but Lacey’s grip was strong enough to stop it. When she tried to pull free, Lacey rolled over onto her stomach with it still applied and began to pound Jessica’s head into the mat with a few hip snaps and then roll back to a seat. Wilma walked past the broadcast desk with a smile, leaving a few Wilma dollars for Steph to “buy some wrinkle cream.”

Steph: Aww that’s adorable. Zack, that third grader put some Monopoly money in front of me. I bet she has a lemonade stand with her imaginary friends.

Meanwhile back in the ring, Jessica was still trapped in the headscissors. However, she did a handstand and then popped out to land on her feet with a show of athleticism. Lacey looked up to her with annoyance just before Anderson left her feet for a meteora into Lacey’s chest. She quickly grabbed both feet for a tight rollup as Pruitt dropped to count.

Zack: I don’t recall seeing Jessica use a meteora before, but it may be enough to seal the deal for her!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NOPE!!

Again, Lacey kicked out after the two. Jessica popped up to her feet, and headed for the corner. As Lacey began to get up, she went for a scissor kick to the back of her head. But the Gold Standard member avoided the contact. And when Jessica turned back to her, she grabbed her head into a facebuster on the canvas. Lacey beamed at her entourage, and started to get back to her feet.

Steph: Lacey looking at her indulgent pet scyophant... And her manager Kyle. Might wanna keep some eyes on the... Ow. Prize.

She pulled Jessica to her feet, and planted her head to deliver a piledriver. Lacey dropped down to rain elbows into her jaw, and then got back to her feet. Wilma climbed up onto the apron just as Lacey began choking Jessica with both hands. The brunette tried to pull at her hands to break her grip as Carli went around the corner. The pink haired star jerked Wilma off the apron, then got a shove for it. Davis shoved her back and waved her forward as she encouraged her to come at her. Wilma looked like she was thinking about it, but then turned around and rejoined Kyle. The referee finally turned back around to find Lacey still choking her, but broke when she got to four.

Zack: Carli was inviting Wilma Iris Napier to take a shot, but the “Silver Spoon Sweetheart” wasn’t interested in obliging her apparently, Steph.

Steph: Wilma never met a fair fight she liked, Zack. What a stupid nickname. Silver Spoon Sweetheart. I hate wrestlers who try to throw their financial fortunes around in nicknames... Said the Witch of Wall Street.

Jessica sat up, trying to catch her breath before Lacey delivered a stiff front kick into her back. It froze her up for a second before Lacey took off for the far side. The brunette got back to her feet, and ate a high knee to the jaw that sent her reeling back into the ropes. A standing sidekick from Lacey sent her through the ropes to the outside. She backed away with her hands up at the request of the referee before Kyle had gotten onto the apron now. Pruitt went to get him down as Wilma closed in on Jessica on the outside. As she reached down to grab her, Carli rounded the corner and locked eyes with SVW’s Adrenaline Champion.

Steph: Beat her ass Carli! In the face! Go for the face!

Zack: There’s nothing but air and opportunity between Wilma and Carli Davis right now!

The referee turned back this time, and Jessica was able to make it back onto the apron without being attacked by Wilma. As soon as she did, Lacey went to get her and only caught a shoulder block in the stomach as she approached. Jessica used the top rope for a slingshot into a flying clothesline to take Lacey down. Carli started pounding the mat to rally the crowd. And as Lacey started to get up, Jessica caught her with a running hip check to the head. It sent the redhead reeling before the brunette headed for the nearest corner. She climbed up to the second turnbuckle from the inside as Lacey was getting back to her feet, and delivered a flying shoulder tackle to put her down again.

Zack: This match has swung back and forth since the bell rang, not to mention all the near altercations we’ve had out here on the floor.

Steph: It’s boiling, Zack. It’s boiling and it’s going to burn over in just a second.

Jessica waved Lacey to get back to her feet, which the redhead was slow to do. When she finally made it, the referee went to intercept Kyle as he was back on the apron again. Anderson scooped Lacey over her shoulders for something….until Wilma came in and caught her on the chin with a superkick. Anderson dropped Lacey to the mat when she fell herself, all the while Kyle was still keeping Pruitt occupied. Finally, Carli had had enough and rolled into the ring behind Wilma!

Steph: GET HER! GET HER! GGEEEETTT HER! IN THE FACE! THE FACE!

Zack: I think Carli’s had about all the provocation that she can stand right now! And Wilma would do well to look behind her!

Lacey’s eyes widened as she saw Carli behind her friend, and warned her. As soon as Wilma turned around, Carli launched into a spear that folded up the blonde on the canvas. Lacey went to get her, looking to clock her with a right hand. But Davis caught it, and shook her head before grabbing her into a straight jacket neckbreaker when the referee turned around. The bell sounded immediately!

Zack: Carli hit the T-UP! And there’s the bell!!

Davis started pacing back and forth in the ring, telling either Wilma or Lacey to get up. The crowd ate it up as well before Kyle pulled Lacey out. Wilma wasn’t far behind either as Carli helped Jessica back to her feet.

Gaby: The referee has disqualified Jessica Anderson for outside interference, therefore your winner…………..LACEY!!

Zack: Carli couldn’t take anymore, Steph! She’d seen enough, and “Bubbles” is itching for a fight with either of the two! Step on up, girls!

Steph: Wilma ain’t gonna do shit. She’s scared.

Wilma’s face soured as she stormed towards the ring, and climbed up on the apron. Carli waved her forward with both arms as Jessica was pulling herself together in the corner. The Boston crowd was even louder now as the two stared across at one another.

Zack: Everyone in the Future Shock Arena is begging Wilma to try her luck with Carli! Hell, I’d like to see it myself! If you’re feeling froggy, Wilma, jump!

Steph: Ten bucks says she doesn’t.

Wilma looked about to step through the ropes, but instead hopped back down to the apron to rejoin Kyle and Lacey. Napier raised Lacey’s hand as they backed up the ramp, while Carli shook her head and checked on her friend.

Steph: When in doubt, raise the hand of your betters I guess. She should probably raise the arms of everyone in the arena then.

As the trio disappeared to the back, Future Shock cut to a commercial for the Mexico City supershow on February 26th.

Bad News

When we return to the back, there we find Future Shock’s lead reporter, Sara, talking with Adam for the second time that night.

Sara: One quick question, if you don’t mind, Adam.

The Director shook his head as he looked back to the montir showing the ring with Carli and Jessica after the match a moment ago.

Sara: What are you going to do about what we just saw?

Adam: I know what I want to do, but I have to work out a few details first. I’ll have something to announce either by the next show or at it. If you’ll excuse me.

He moves past her to head back to his office. The camera is about to fade out when two women approach Sara. One with slightly darker skin and black hair, the other blonde with a fair complexion. This also catches Adam’s attention as he watches the two girls hand Sara a manila envelope.

Adam: Nadia and Alessandra, right?

The girls look to Adam with some measure of shock at being recognised.

Alessandra: Yes...that’s us, but...how...did you know that?

Adam: Because I’m the interim Vice President of SVW, and I know who works there...whether they have been there for years...or just signed with it.

Alessandra: Perdonami, of course. You just caught us off guard a little. We’re not used to people knowing who we are.

Nadia: It is not a usual occurrence for us to be recognised. We should have recognised you though, forgive us.

Sara looks inside the envelope, causing her face to go red from a mixture of what looks to be anger and tears in her eyes. She storms off camera, leaving Adam curious as he watches her go and looks back to the girls.

Adam: Do you two mind joining me in my office and telling me what’s going?

Alessandra and Nadia share a glance with each other before they both give a small nod of their heads.

Alessandra: We can give you the general idea, I don’t think that would be an issue.

Adam: I think that’s a good idea. Come with me, please.

He heads off with the girls following behind him before opening his office. They go in with him behind them before the shot fades elsewhere.

Mara’s Big Chance

As the show heads elsewhere inside the Future Shock Arena, we find Mara Werth as she’s soon joined by her agent, Carson Black. He asks her to follow him around the corner away from much of the noise in the halls

Carson: Miss Werth, just the girl I was looking for! I have some very exciting news to share with you.

The brunette followed him around the corner, subconsciously starting to rub her right wrist innocuously.

Mara: Exciting news? Cool, I’m glad to hear it…. You’ve not got another five thousand photos for me to sign do you? It’s not that kind of exciting is it? It’s not that I’ve got anything against doing it but… hopefully you’ve got something a little more exciting than that?

Carson: Well there is a new poster coming soon, but that’s not what I’m here to discuss with you. What I came to discuss was a conversation I had earlier before the show with Mr. Grant about you. He’s agreed with me on letting you have an opportunity to get another crack at the Aspire Championship. I’d qualify that as more exciting than signing pictures, wouldn’t you?

Mara: A LOT more exciting. Thank you Carson. I did pretty well when I went up against Lydia - or at least I like to think I did and I know, I’m sure, I’m getting better and better so I’d love to get back in the hunt and have another chance to win the Aspire Championship from whoever might be holding it. Who do I have to beat to get the opportunity?

Carson: Well it’s not so much one person. Mr. Grant has picked 4 women he feels could be deserving of an opportunity, and will have 2 matches between them. The winner of each match will face off for the next shot at the title after Miss Lannister has her chance against Lydia Charisma. You are among the four names he selected.

Mara: Oh. Okay. That sounds fair. I know there’s a lot of people in Future Shock who would love to win the Aspire Championship and get the chance to hold it for three defences. And I know there’s a lot of really talented women out there. Look at how close Mila came to beating Lydia the other week; wouldn’t surprise me at all if she was one of the other three names he’s picked.

Carson: I thought so too, but apparently there are other plans for her at the moment. The names he did select was, of course, yours, Katie Keller, Gemma Pierce, and Nora Harris. Katie and Gemma have also been after a shot, and I’m fairly confident Nora deserves at least this much after her performance at Nemesis.

The ex-convict nodded her head.

Mara: It was very impressive from Nora in being the sole survivor against the Gold Standard. Definitely a very talented woman. And Gemma… well, there’s a lot of power there and did really well when she faced Lydia too. Then Katie Keller. Definitely a name that rounds out the trio well. No matter which I face in the first match, I know I’ve got my work cut out for me and I’ll be in for a long night, but I’m looking forward to the challenge; to rising up and meeting it.

Carson: You won’t have to wait very long. Your match is on the next Future Shock, as a matter of fact. You’ll be meeting Nora Harris for the first time, and after Nemesis, stamina training could be essential with all the abuse she can take and still keep coming.

A smile formed on her lips.

Mara: Hey, Lil Pixie Pump. Cool. And yeah, that’s sound advice, from what I’ve seen of her I might have to go all night and keep going right through into the next afternoon the way that she can soak it up and keep getting back to her feet. Two weeks of training like I’m going to be running a marathon, it’s gonna be… it’s gonna be fun. And it should be a pretty good match, a potential show stealer, a highlight reel classic between Nora and I, two prospects who are going to be desperate for the win and get that one step closer to the Aspire Championship.

Carson: Add all that to the fact that he has informed it will be the main event, so you both will have the brightest spotlight possible that night. Miss Harris will be extremely formidable for anyone, and it being her first opportunity at something like this, I’d daresay it may make her even more resilient that night.

Mara: It’s going to be a tough night against a really good wrestler, a very talented woman. I’ll not be sleeping on her Carson, or taking anything for granted. There was a very good reason why she was the sole survivor against the Gold Standard at Nemesis and is very much on the rise here in Future Shock. I’m going to show that I’ve improved and that I’ve developed and in the main event in two weeks time I intend to wrestle the match of my life against Nora and somehow I’ll manage to find a way to beat her. Perhaps I’ll work on a couple of sleeper holds over the next two weeks… that might be something to consider.

Carson nodded in agreement as we see a graphic for next week’s main event before the show heads elsewhere.

Putting These Girls To Shame

Future Shock returns from the break, and finds Kyle Kilmeade in the ring with three unknown wrestlers. One looks to be a luchador as she’s wearing a pink mask, the second appears to be of possibly Japanese descent, and one is a girl wearing a Future Shock Center short and a pair of black shorts.

Kyle: Ladies and gentlemen, tonight you are going to have the pleasure of seeing what the future of Future Shock looks like. Much has been said about the fact that Cait Flanagan hasn’t had a match yet, despite having been signed for some time now. Well that is by choice. That is because it is in her and my best interest to make sure when that moment happens, it has the biggest reach and the most profitable outcome possible. However, tonight I am going to quench that curiosity many of you have. And you will get to see her in the ring as she shows her skills against these three women behind me.

He gestures to the three girls, all of whom look to be ready to go. A couple of them are already warming up.

Kyle: I’ve brought talent from across the globe for this show. Here we have a woman who has been competing in Japan for two years. Here’s a girl straight from the Future Shock Center in Boston, hoping to get a start one day here. And this lady right here….I’ve been told she’s a rising star on the Mexican wrestling scene south of the border. All three of them will have the chance to try to show Cait up tonight, but I don’t like their chances. However, we can’t do this without the star herself. So please join me in welcoming…..CAIT FLANAGAN!

The opening of Madonna’s “Material Girl” begins playing as Cait Flanagan steps out onto the ramp. With a wink, she licks her index finger and touches it to the ground and as she passes the spot, flames shoot up behind her. She reaches into her tights and pulls out a wad of cash, fanning it out for the crowd to see.

She tousles her hair and fans herself with the money, then shrugs and tosses it behind her, letting it get eaten up by the flames. Cait puts her hand up to her mouth as she seems to realize what she’s done, but then she shrugs her shoulders and cackles.

You know that we are living in a material world, and I am a material girl…

Still laughing, Cait skips the rest of the way down to the ring, tossing her hair over her shoulder and blowing mocking kisses to the men in the audience. She ascends the steps and ducks through the ropes, winking at the referee.

Gaby: From Belfast, Northern Ireland, she is The Million Dollar Baby, Cait! Flanagan!

She seems to thank Gaby for her introduction and goes to her corner, laying across the turnbuckle and giving her opponent a cheeky little wave as she waits for things to get started.

Kyle: You look fantastic. Do you have any thoughts you’d like to share with either of these women or those watching at home?

He asks her before holding the microphone for her.

Cait: Not a damn thing, Kyle.

Kyle: Well then, let’s get this demonstration started. You from Japan, whatever your name is...you’re up.

Kyle steps out to the apron in the corner behind Cait as the redhead circles with the first opponent. They tie up quickly with Cait using a series of Japanese armdrag takedowns to send her to the mat. The unknown star hops up quickly, and catches a dropkick to the chest that sends her back to the ropes. She goes for a kick, but Flanagan catches it and twists it into a dragon screw leg whip that snaps her down to the mat. A baseball slide sends her out of the ring to the floor before Kyle applauds his client.

Kyle: Didn’t even break a sweat. Any thoughts, killer?

Cait: Yeah, I think Caroline Dallins is going to have to give up that Killer C nickname to yours truly. What else d’you have for me?

Kyle: You...the one from Boston….you’re next.

Cait smiles to her manager, and looks back as the Boston girl takes her shot. She uses a running tackle to drive Cait back into the corner, a few shoulder thrusts into her stomach land. The redhead brings her knee up into the girl’s face though, grabbing her by the head for a springboard bulldog off the ropes that drives her face down into the mat. Cait nips up to her feet, and takes off for the far side as she gets to her feet. The Boston girl barely has time to face her before Cait catches her with a bicycle kick that sends her through the ropes to the floor. She dusts off her hands with a smile as Kyle gives her another round of applause, though the fans do the exact opposite.

Kyle: Look at her go. Hey, thanks for coming, babe. Cait, one last loser to go! How you feeling so far?

Cait: Like I’ve got one last beatdown in me for tonight, love.

Kyle: Go for it, Pinky.

As soon as Cait turns back to the ring, the pink masked luchadora charges forward with a spear that pops the crowd. She immediately starts unloading with right hands in bunches before rolling through and nipping to her feet. Kyle’s mouth drops open as the luchadora waves for Cait to get up to her feet. When the redhead finally does it, the luchadora charges and catches her with a fall away DDT!

Kyle: What the….

The masked woman looks down at Cait, and then plucks her mask off her head. Curly brown hair falls down to reveal it’s--

Kyle: NORA?!

Harris grins as Kyle hops down to the floor, and pulls his client out of the ring. Nora invited Cait to come back as the pair headed up the ramp. Flanagan’s face was almost as red with irritation as her hair. Kyle led her to the back as Nora cracked her knuckles in the ring, while the Boston crowd roared in approval. We then cut to a commercial for the Mexico City supershow on February 26th.

The Murder Machine

When the show heads to the back, we find Amber alongside the Director of Future Shock himself, Adam Grant. The reporter has a curious look on her face as she begins.

Amber: Hi there, Adam. I'm filling in for Sara, mind answering a question?

Adam: Shoot, I’m all ears.

Amber: Well we know that you have a supershow coming up on the 26th of February in Mexico City. But one of the matches you had booked can’t happen now, after Katie Keller’s opponent left the promotion. Can you give us any more information on that?

Adam: You’re talking about Carter, and you know what? The chances are Katie would have wrecked her anyway. Future Shock isn’t for everyone, and I wasn’t surprised she left. I was more surprised it took her that long after the show to make the decision. Sometimes you see a raw talent, and you can get a sense of what you can expect. I was right in this case, but that doesn’t mean I’m going to take Katie off the show. I promised her a spot on it, and I plan to keep my promise.

Amber: Oh! So does that mean you’ve found a replacement opponent for Katie Keller at the Mexico City Supershow?

Adam: I absolutely have. And it took all of about five seconds to give her the invitation after talking with her. Allow me to introduce you to her, as a matter of fact.

He gestures to someone off camera who gets a pop from the crowd in the arena when she appears. In comes Tiffany Tompkins, the eighteen year old self-proclaimed ‘Murder Machine’, who has a confident smirk on her face. She shuffles in between Adam and Sara; the size difference is as clear as day, but that did not deter her in the slightest.

Tiffany: What’s up guys?

Amber: Welcome to Future Shock, Tiffany.

Adam: Tiffany Tompkins been recently competing in the Young Guns Cup, and you have to be among the most talented rising stars around to succeed in that tournament. So like I said when I spoke with her and she wanted the spot left open on the card in Mexico City, I immediately worked out the arrangements. I’m very happy to have her be part of the show.

Amber: Tiffany, what made you decide you wanted to be part of the show? Have you been watching Future Shock and got the itch? Or what led to this?

Tiffany: Well Sara, I’ve heard a lot of great things about Future Shock. It’s kinda similar to how Adam just described the Young Guns Cup. It’s home to some of the fastest rising stars in the business, including one of my good friends back in the RISE days, Bianca Reed. In fact, she’s the one who kinda brought Future Shock to my attention. When I got this offer from Adam, I couldn’t possibly say no. How could I? This place rocks!

Adam: I’d go so far as to say Tiffany is going to provide a much stiffer challenger to Katie on February 26th than her previous opponent. Plus she’s apparently one of Artemis Kaiser’s favorite wrestlers, ya know FFW’s No Surrender Champion.

Tiffany’s smile beams as she nods approvingly.

Tiffany: Well...that’s what I was told... but I know that if Katie was hoping for a night off, she can think again, cuz she’s about to face off with the Five Foot Death Machine!

Adam: C’mon, I’ll show you around and you can meet some of the other girls here.

Adam headed off camera with his guest in pursuit before we cut to commercial.

Future Shock returns from the commercial break to find Gabrielle Crimson getting back into the ring for the final time tonight. The bell sounds a couple times to get the people’s attention before she begins to speak.

Gaby: The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is your main event of the evening!

Zack: Technically we are about to see two teams who have never been put together in a match before, but I think that’s arguable when you consider one of the teams being the Cortez Sisters. I’m joined by a regular at the booth on Future Shock, Chaotic Temptation’s Missy as well as the Director’s girlfriend. Welcome back to the booth.

Missy: Thanks for having me, Zack. It’s been a little while, but I’m always glad to help out on the shows however I can.

The otherwise quiet intro to Family Force 5's "Drama Queen" starts on the sound system, and lights start blinking in random colors as the identical twins Tara and Luna Cortez walk onto the entrance ramp side by side. Right behind them is their manager Christian Kincaid, as he stands right between the twins, who stop right before the ramp. At the same time, they take a spin and stop in a particular pose, one mirroring the other down to the moment of their winking for the cameras before they turn to one another and then to the booing crowd, proceeding to shake their heads at them. Strutting down the entrance ramp, the twins keep talking and strategizing, taking their time to mock the crowd and let them know who are the true geniuses in the house.

Gaby: Introducing first/And their opponents, escorted to the ring by Christian Kincaid... From Fort Worth, Texas... "THE TWENTY-STAR TANDEM"... Tara...! Luna...! THE CORTEZ TWINS!

When Tara and Luna climb into the ring, they make their way to the ropes facing the hard camera, stepping onto the second rope and sitting on the top rope, their backs turned to the hard cam and the audience, as they make a pose similar to the one they did atop the ramp, winking at the cameras before they wave the crowd off once again and hop back down to the ring. As they move to the corner, one of the twins sits on the top turnbuckle and crosses her legs, while the other leans onto the turnbuckles (and her sister's legs), as they share some last minute strategy with Christian.

Zack: We heard from the Cortez Sisters earlier tonight, and they claim they have been a tag team since birth. I’ll take their word for it, but they’ve certainly shown they can work together when the situation calls for it, as you’ve probably noticed.

Missy: It can go either way with siblings, just look at me, I’m living proof of that. What confuses me with these two is the fact they seem to think they’re so original in what they do...all twins pull the twin swap at some time or other. I was probably doing it before they were even born!

Gaby: Introducing their opponents…..

The techno-pop beat gets multi colored strobes flashing as Mars rushes out onto the stage, arms held high and waving to the crowd. She smiles brightly before starting to stride down the ramp, leaning out to slap hands with the FFW faithful.

As Whimsy gets down to ringside, she does a quick, old-school lap around the ring, actively trying to slap hands with as many fans as possible before trotting up the ring steps and onto the outside apron, where she quickly hops up on the outside second turnbuckle bracket and holding her arms out wide.

Gaby: Introducing, from Las Angeles, California, standing at 5’7” tall and weighing in at one-hundred and ninety pounds, MARS WHIIIIIIIIMSY!

Nodding to the crowd Mars lightly hops over the ropes and into the ring, removing her multi-colored headband and walking to her corner to await the start of her match.

Zack: Mars had her first run-in with the twins during a game show challenge for charity last year. Tara and Luna crashed and ruined the whole thing for her and Andi Takata.

Missy: They’ve done nothing to endear themselves to anybody really have they? I’m sure Mars is more than ready to get stuck in with them tonight.

I'm not the one who's so far away when I feel the snake bite enter my veins
Never did I want to be here again and I don't remember why I came…

The lights in the arena dim and smoke fills the entrance as the first lines of Godsmack's "Voodoo" begin playing. Vivi tosses the curtain aside and stands with her arms outstretched and a smile on her face. She carries a walking stick, topped with a skull carved from ivory, in one hand and waves to the crowd with the other, bemused by their positive reaction to her. Pausing for a moment, Vivi waits for the next verse of the song to begin before she starts making her way to the ring.

Candles raise my desire why I'm so far away, no more meaning to my life, no more reason to stay...
Freezing feeling, breathe in, breathe in...
I'm coming back again…

As she reaches the ring, Vivi climbs up the stairs and tips her top hat to the crowd before taking it and her jacket off, laying them on the side of the ring along with her walking stick. Only then does she step in over the middle rope, standing in the center of the ring with her hands on her hips, waiting.

Gaby: Ladies and gentlemen, now making her way to the ring, she is the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans, the High Priestess of Baron Samedi, the Monster of the French Quarter... the one and only… VIVI ROBICHAUD!

Zack: Much like Mars, this is Vivi’s first Future Shock main event! But she’s no stranger to big matches. Let’s not forget she faced Luna at Nemesis, but she certainly didn’t only have to deal with Luna that night.

Missy: At least tonight Vivi knows in advance that she’ll be dealing with both of them, but with Mars alongside her she won’t have to do it alone.

Referee Ashley Pruitt checks all four women as Gaby leaves. Christian hops down to the floor in the twins’ corner as the referee calls for the bell to start the match. Luna starts for her team, only known by the fact the camera picks up Christian saying her name as Tara steps out. Mars and Vivi discuss who will start for them, but the discussion is short-lived as Mars immediately goes after Luna. The twin goes to bail out of the ring immediately as Mars grabs her by the tights and pulls her back away from the ropes. She snatches her around the waist as Luna tries to grab the ropes, and gets thrown with a belly to back suplex. Both women pop up fairly quickly with Mars firing away with right hands to the side of her head. She whips Luna into the far corner and charges in after her with an avalanche splash. Three steps back, and she charges in again to crush Luna in the corner until a belly to belly overhead suplex sends her flying out to the canvas.

Missy: Mars is wasting no time at all in taking it to Luna. This could end up being a short match if Mars has her way about things!

Zack: Mars is definitely the powerhouse of the team, and she’s making sure to use all 190 pounds on Luna every chance she gets. Luna’s barely over a hundred herself!

Cortez starts to push up to her hands and knees, only to get a leg drop across the back of her head from Mars. The rookie mounts her back, pulls her head up and starts laying in forearms across the side of her head. She spikes her face down on the mat, and gets back to her feet still standing over her. When Luna starts to get up again, Mars leaves her feet and crashes down on her back to put her down yet again. Whimsey gets back to her feet with a smile as Luna holds her back in pain.

Zack: Mars looks like she’s having a good time in there, and Luna hasn’t gotten out of the blocks so far. And Christian is showing a little concern too as he watches Mars punish Luna.

Missy: I don’t think there’s anybody that can deny the Cortez sisters really have brought on anything they have coming themselves. They’ve not exactly been trying to make friends.

Whimsey heads to the corner to tag in Vivi, who quickly steps through. They both pull Luna to her feet, and whip her across for the ride. She comes back on the rebound into a double flapjack from her opponents. Mars and Vivi take off for different sides of the ring, and both come back. Mars lands a senton across Luna’s back, while Vivi connects with a leg drop to her head. Pruitt admonishes and tells her to get out of the ring as Vivi turns back to a rising Luna. She pulls her into a front facelock, and begins driving knees into her face and chest before putting her back down with a DDT.

Zack: This may be their first time teaming together, but it’s pretty obvious to me they’ve certainly been practicing and training together. Nice tandem offense there, even if the referee wanted Mars out.

Missy: I wonder how much Luna likes the two on one offensive when it’s not her and Tara doing it? My guess is not very much at all.

Vivi drags her back to her feet, and rams her headfirst into the nearest turnbuckle. She does it nine more times as the fans count with her, and then sets Luna on the top rope. She climbs up to join her, listening to the crowd before she leaves her feet for a hurricanrana. But Luna holds onto the top rope with both hands, and Vivi crashes onto the canvas. The twin remains seated for a second, trying to pull herself together before she comes off onto Vivi with a falling headbutt into her chest. Cortez hooks the leg and rolls through for the cover.

Zack: Fantastic ring awareness from Luna, and she’s already looking to hit the showers!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOO!!

The voodoo priestess kicked out as the two struck the canvas, and Luna dragged Vivi by the foot towards her team’s corner. A quick tag was made to Tara before each of them grabbed one of Vivi’s leg and pulled them apart violently like a wishbone.

Missy: Where on earth did that come from?! Luna obviously had enough of being on wrong side of this match and decided to take control and bring her sister in to play. I wouldn’t want to be in Vivi’s position right now, that has to hurt!

Tara rolled out to the floor, dragging Vivi by the leg so she could snap it across the apron. She followed that up by wrapping her knee around the ring post as well. This brought Mars in, who wanted the referee to get them back in the ring. As Pruitt went to get her back out, Tara slid back into the ring and began to antagonize Mars over the referee’s shoulder. As this went on, Luna applied a figure four around the ringpost in her corner.

Missy: Vivi’s knee seems to have a bigger and bigger bullseye on it these days. That is going to be absolute agony for her, and the longer the referee is distracted with Tara and Mars, the longer Vivi is going to be suffering!

Zack: Luna is the one who began damaging that knee months ago, only for it to be exacerbated by a woman we saw earlier tonight and you know well, that being Wilma Iris Napier...the “Silver Spoon Sweetheart.”

Missy: I can think of many names for Wilma and Sweetheart wouldn’t be one of them.

Mars finally got out of the ring, and Luna let go of the hold, leaving Vivi on the canvas in pain in the Cortez twins’ corner. Tara dragged her back away from the ropes, and applied a legal figure four leglock on Vivi. Pruitt dropped down next to the priestess to see if she wanted to submit, meanwhile Tara reached up and grabbed her sister’s hands through the ropes to further add pressure. Vivi shouted in pain until the referee looked back to see Tara propped up on her elbows with an innocent look. The official turned back, and Tara grabbed her sister’s hands again through the ropes.

Missy: I don’t think that innocent look is fooling anyone, but if the referee doesn’t see Luna and Tara are up to, she can’t do anything about it. Vivi is tough, but with how much pain she must be in now...I’m not sure how long she’ll be able to put up with it.

With the fans getting behind her, Vivi began to try to turn the hold over to reverse the pressure. She brought her arm to try to flip them onto their stomachs as Tara fought against it to stop her. But it was too late, and Vivi managed it. Then it was Tara’s face that was a mask of pain until she grabbed the ropes, causing the referee to break the hold. Vivi pulled away from her towards the corner, rubbing her left knee as Mars had her hand out for a tag. Tara got back to her feet as Vivi did the same, and the #1 contender to the Future Shock Championship took off towards Vivi. She went for a big boot, but Vivi ducked out of the way. And before she could turn around, Vivi used a codebreaker to Tara’s back. It flipped her over to the mat, but caused Vivi pain as well.

Zack: Vivi managed to avoid that boot, and returned fire with a double knee backbreaker. But as much as it hurt Tara, it didn’t do Vivi any favors either.

Missy: It will have hurt like hell, but it’s also bought her a tiny bit of respite to try and gather herself a bit.

Vivi headed towards her corner to get to Mars, as the referee kept a close eye on her. Meanwhile, Tara rolled out to the floor as Luna stepped in, dropped to the mat as though she had been there the whole time. The referee looked back with a curious look as Luna sprang to her feet as though nothing had happened, and immediately went to get Vivi and pull her back by her leg.

Missy: Oh here we go… and not a soul is surprised, are we? I mean on one hand, you can’t blame them for using what they can, but it doesn’t mean anybody has to like it!

Zack: Makes me wonder what the referee thinks happened. Did Tara’s mutant healing power kick in? I’ll ask her after the show.

As she pulled Vivi away from the corner, the priestess got back to her feet. She hopped on one leg though, and surprised Luna with an enzuigiri off the other foot. This brought the crowd back to life behind her as Vivi headed for the ropes again to help her get back to her feet. Luna started back as well, and went to get her. But Vivi caught her coming in with a kick to the gut following with her running swinging DDT! The fans came to their feet as Vivi debated making the cover or the tag.

Zack: HURRICANE VIVIENNE has made landfall! And Luna doesn’t know if she’s in Boston or Budapest right now! But she needs to think fast: make the tag or make the cover!

Missy: She’s giving her too long to recover her senses here. Smart money would be on making the tag after all the damage she’s tak…. Or not, I guess.

Vivi chose to make the cover as she lunged across the twin with a hook of the leg. Pruitt slid into position to make the count!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

The fall was broken up when Tara came in with a baseball slide, sending Vivi off the cover. Mars came in after her, and the referee went to intercept the colorful Prospect. As that went on, Tara rolled Luna out of the ring and laid on the canvas in her place.

Missy: Mars is making it too easy for the Cortez swap, whether she realises it or not and it’s Vivi that’s bearing the brunt of it.

Zack: And Vivi can’t make the tag with Mars in the ring! Tara’s back in now, though the referee wouldn’t know it at this point!

Mars finally got back to her corner as Vivi started moving towards her. Whimsey was stretching her hand out as far as she could for Vivi when the priestess made the tag. Whimsey bolted into the ring, and reached down to grab the twin….only for Tara to pull herinto a small package!

Zack: I don’t Mars saw the switch, and Tara’s gonna steal this thing right now!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Mars kicked free in time, and got back to her feet. She pulled Tara with her, and started unloading with shots to the side of her head. Whimsey whipped her across to the far side, and caught her on the rebound with a spinebuster! As the referee was helping Vivi out of the ring, Luna circled around and hopped up on the apron behind Mars as she was looking at Tara.

Missy: She’s behind you! Wow, I just got transported back to go to the pantomime as a kid then. I get the feeling Mars is not going to like what’s going to come if she doesn’t turn around...like now!

Mars Hit the ropes behind her, knocking Luna off to the floor without realizing it and and connecting with a standing frog splash on Tara. She quickly hopped back to her feet, and headed for the corner to climb up to the second rope.

Zack: I know what’s got in mind! Mars is on the second rope, and the bottom’s about to drop out on Tara in the ring!

As Mars was about to come off, a chair crashed against her back as Luna had hopped onto the apron. The powerhouse fell forward on the canvas in a heap. The referee saw it when she turned around though, and immediately called for the bell. Luna dropped the chair, and held up her hands as she tried to tell her Mars did it!

Missy: Is she honestly trying to say that Mars hit herself with the chair?! Holy hell, I’ve heard some rubbish in my career but...wowzer.

Gaby: The referee has disqualified the Cortez Sisters, therefore your winner…...VIVI ROBICHAUD and MARS WHIMSEY!!

The referee looked at Luna incredulously, listening as the twin told her Mars hit Tara with the chair first. The referee wasn’t buying it though, and stormed back to raise Mars’ hand along with Vivi when she got back in the ring.

Zack: How on Earth could Mars hit anyone with the chair?! Tara was already on the mat, she didn’t need one to hit her!

Missy: I don’t think logic plays a very big part in the Cortez twins’ lives to be fair. At least not any logic that the rest of the world would use.

The boos from the crowd began to change as the camera spotted the Future Shock Director heading out from the backstage area.

Adam: Hold up a second!

Missy: Adam to the rescue! I bet he won’t let this just slide.

Adam: I won’t change the referee’s decision obviously, but I know what we all saw. So here’s what we are going to do! Mars….February 26th….Mexico City supershow…...you will go one on one with Luna Cortez….

This gets a pop from the crowd.

Adam: And I’m gonna ban Tara from ringside for that match!

Another pop as Luna didn’t look pleased at all.

Zack: That sounds reasonable to me!

Missy: You can’t really say fairer than that, can you? But look at Luna’s face!

Mars sat up in the ring, nodding her head as she looked from Adam to the twins started smiling at the announcement. Tara and Luna weren’t smiling at all as Future Shock faded off the air.
