A lightning bolt strikes the screen, leaving the Future Shock logo. The next thing we see is the familiar set of the After Shock studio with the curved video wall behind the purple couch. Gary is also seen in his newer bigger bowl with an added goldfish. The camera pulls back to see Jake, and finds he’s with a vivacious brunette who just happens to be his new co-host.

Jake: Hello, everyone! And welcome to the latest edition of After Shock, your one stop for all the latest Future Shock news. I’m Jake Chandler, and this is my new co-host, henceforth to be recognized as Princess Gia!

Gia grins and waves at the camera, settling in on the purple couch.

Gia: And I’m Princess Gia Lynne! We’ve got an awful lot to cover after last week’s show, when the fallout from Sheffield Showdown started! Where should we start, Jake?

Jake: Well that’s a good question. How about the first two qualifiers for the Future Shock Cup? We had Cait Flanagan slip past Shelbi Lynn Cartner, not without some extra moving parts. And Sydney Christensen got overwhelmed by the magic of Mikayla Stone, who just happens to be the next challenger for the Nova Title. Take your pick, your highness!

Gia: Let’s start with Shelbi Lynn Carter and Cait Flanagan, because we saw something that the beginning of that match that we haven’t seen from any of Kyle’s clients before - Cait actually bringing someone in to start the match for her! What do you make of it?

Jake: I’m not sure about that. I’ve never seen someone do it quite like that before, and I’m guessing neither has Shelbi. Even if she did kinda… dispose of that girl pretty quickly. Never did catch her name. That combined with Kyle being…. Kyle, Cait scooped up the biggest win of her wrestling career and got herself into the Future Shock Cup finals.

As he speaks, the viewers see highlights from the match behind the pair, including the unknown girl as well as Cait’s finisher.

Jake: What were your takeaways from Mikayla’s match with Sydney in the main event, your highness?

Gia: Well this certainly isn’t going to do any favors for Sydney’s current attitude, that’s for sure. I was exceptionally proud of Mikayla in this match - it takes a lot to get past a woman of Sydney’s talent and experience, especially when combined with the ruthlessness that she’s been displaying lately, but the littlest Stone sister showed us what she’s made of in what was probably her biggest match to date. I can’t wait to see what happens in the other half of this bracket, and see who joins them in the finals.

Jake: Well there’s still one more qualifier to go, but we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention that this match also saw the return of Luna and Anna Cortez. I guess they felt they were a big present for Future Shock, and arrived in a gift box only to take out Mikayla’s sisters at the end of the match.

Gia: Leave it to the Cortezes to think their presence is a present. I know I was definitely surprised to see them back, and I’m sure the roster was as well. However, I’m not entirely certain it’ll be viewed as a good surprise, given their antics prior to their departure. There’s a lot of bad blood between them and the rest of the roster, so it’ll be interesting to see how that plays out.

The next clip begins to play, showing the match between Leighana and Ashley Slayton behind the hosts.

Jake: We also finally got to see Leighana actually in the ring in Future Shock. I guess you could call it her second in-ring debut in what would be Ashley Slayton’s last match in Future Shock, as a result. What did you think of Leighana?

Gia: I think Leighana was very impressive and made it clear that she is one of the most dangerous women in Future Shock, after the way she left Ashley Slayton mangled in the center of the ring. And while Ms. Slayton may be gone, Leighana still has a lot that she wants to accomplish here, so it’ll be interesting to see how she goes about that.

Jake: We’ll finally hear from her on our next show, so maybe we’ll get some answers to what the heck went on in Sheffield. One person who was on this show and did have some answers was Lowri Moss! Apparently she was offended by what happened to Carys too, and was all “If you do it again, I got your back!”

Gia: And Lowri doesn’t just talk the talk. If you look at how she’s conducted herself, in every single company she’s worked for, Lowri Moss is as true and honorable as they come. She and Carys may not be related, but if someone like Lowri says they have your back, you can believe it. So Carys has one hell of an ally, and Future Shock has gained one of the most immensely talented competitors in the world.

Jake nods enthusiastically at that, and looks back to the camera.

Jake: If you missed any of the show, including Arabella’s emotional moment having her name engraved on her Nova Championship, it’s on FFW All Access. So go sign up for that and catch it all. Now let’s turn our attention to the next Future Shock, once again in Boston on April 7th. We already found out the main event from Adam.

Jake: Due to Victoria holding a win over the new Nova Champion and Adam assuming she didn’t want to cut in front of Jacqui, he’s now given her a shot at the Aspire Championship. So on the next Future Shock, Victoria Havoc of the Doomsday Sisters goes one on one with Gemma Pierce in her latest defense of the Aspire Championship, Gia.

Gia: Gemma Pierce is one of the most focused and determined people I’ve ever witnessed. She’s hellbent on being the first to make it to five defenses of her Aspire Championship. Victoria Havoc has a monumental task in front of her if she wants to topple Gemma, especially since this will mark Gemma’s fourth and penultimate defense, and I’m sure that Gemma isn’t ready to relinquish her title just yet. Victoria is a proven powerhouse, but Gemma is technically gifted and attacks with surgical precision. Anything is possible in wrestling, as we’ve seen, but I would say the odds favor Gemma here.

Jake: I find it hard to bet against a champion in FFW or Future Shock. After all, there’s a reason they are a champion. I think Victoria’s got a golden opportunity but also has the biggest fight of her career so far against the “World Piercer” in Boston. I don’t envy her at all. Also booked on the card, some of our tag teams get to shine in singles matches, Gia.

Jake: For example, one half of the new Future Shock Tag Champions, Jane Strode of the Laurie Jane Experience, meets Jennifer Song of the Raging Dragons. We know these two teams are destined to meet again to finish their trilogy, but we haven’t seen either of them in singles matches much. So this could be a test on a few levels for Jenny and Jane.

Gia: It’s always interesting to see how tag team specialists fare in singles competition - especially in the case of Jane Strode, who seems to be very often overshadowed by her tag team partner, Laurie. So I’m really looking forward to this match, and of course to seeing the end of this trilogy between two immensely talented tag teams.

Jake: We’ll be hearing from Leighana and the Cortez Sisters as well next Future Shock. I’d say all of them have some explaining to do. And I doubt any of it is going to be well received. But Victoria’s not the only half of the Doomsday Sisters in singles action. Nope, because Sienna Danger will also be meeting another half of one of our tag teams: Alessandra Esposito of Target Acquired.

Jake: This will be Alessandra’s first foray into a singles match in Future Shock, and she’s got a stacked powerhouse standing across from her for it. It’s gonna be a long night for her, to say the least.

Gia: It definitely is, and I’m looking forward to seeing how Alessandra’s high octane offense fares against the power and technical ability of Sienna Danger. Both the Doomsday Sisters and Target Acquired have had their eye on the Future Shock Tag Team titles, and they have an opportunity to make a case for themselves as singles competitors here as well. It’s hard to bet against a woman like Sienna Danger in situations like this, but if Alessandra can use her speed effectively and stay out of Sienna Danger’s grasp, I think she’ll be able to pull off a win here.

Jake: Gia knows her stuff! Err.. Princess Gia. All that is on tap April 7th for the 76th edition of Future Shock. I’m especially looking forward to that Aspire Championship match. But before we wrap up, we promised some matches for the Future Shock Impact 3 card on April 21st! And I just happen to have them right there….

He points behind him as four of the matches on the event are revealed on the screen.

Future Shock vs. FFW

“Sensational” Stacey Sky vs. Dawn Lohan
The Raging Dragons vs. NHB
Arabella Townshend vs. Luci
Sydney Christensen vs. Missy

Jake: And there’s still more to be announced. What do you make of the lineup so far for the 21st?

Gia: This is the most stacked Impact card I think I’ve ever seen! It’s great to see so many of our stars get their chance to shine against the women on the main roster, and other than Arabella and Luci, these are all newcomers to the Impact series. The first Impact special was a runaway success for the Prospects, and the second one I know Adam considers a tie, given the way the match between Arabella and Scarlett Silver ended. I think that once again, the women of the main roster are in for a tough challenge against the Future Shock roster, and I’m interested to see who the last competitors chosen will be. Considering what’s already been revealed, I can’t wait to see what Adam and Samantha have in store for us.

Jake: Well I can tell you who is going to be on the FFW side of it, I know that much. It’ll be one of the trainers at the Future Shock Center in LA and FFW Hall of Famer Valerie McFarlane. And also “Killer B” Bianca Reed is going to come back to her former stomping grounds that night as well. We’ll have their opponents for you next After Shock. That’s a lot of talent on the FFW side of the ledger, isn’t it?

Gia: It absolutely is. I’m a huge fan of both Valerie and Bianca, and both of them pose a huge test to our roster. But I know that the women of Future Shock will absolutely rise to the challenge they present.

Jake: Like I said, we’ll have their matches revealed on the next After Shock. Make sure you join us April 7th as we return to the Future Shock Center in Boston with the Aspire Championship on the line in the main event. Thanks for joining us, and we’ll see you next time.

Jake practices his royal wave along with Princess Gia before After Shock fades to black.
