Live from the Future Shock Arena in Boston, Massachusetts
July 27, 2021

The show begins with the usual open for Future Shock, at least until the screen looks like it starts rewinding quickly all the way to...

Zack: Welcome to the stage of history! You are looking live at a sold out crowd here in FFW’s hometown of Los Angeles, California! And you are watching one of the most anticipated nights in the history of this brand….perhaps the most! Welcome to Staples Center, welcome to the City of Angels, and welcome, most importantly, to the relaunch of FUTURE SHOCK!!

The camera continues to pan the crowd before it settles down on Zack Hudson and Kaylee Clarke at ringside.

The screen starts to fast forward as Kaylee is about to speak, and we are taken to...

Linda: Still anyone’s game, and it could go either way. Both teams are heated up, and determined to get that last point.

As Sophia moved into position to serve with the camera behind her, Max cheered on the girls. And when she served it across, Max’s board shorts fell to his ankles as quite a few onlookers, including Carmen & Gillie, saw a side of Max no one ever wanted to see. The ball fell on the other side of the court as the girls looked on in disgust before they realized what happened. Max pulled his shorts up when the referee gave his team the point as Ji-Hu covered her face.

Linda: ...Well, Ji-Hu and Sophia win, and I’m going to go blind. Again.

Zack: I’m glad the camera was behind Sophia, I don’t ever want to see any alternate angles on that shot.

Before the camera reverts back to Max, the fast forward begins again till we stop on….

Lyn: Anna doesn’t even show a moment of shock from Harley’s kickout. That’s how much respect she has for her and that respect? That respect turns into a Golden Elbow coming up!

But as she did, Harley rose behind her and dropped her with a reverse DDT. She wasted no time in dragging her to the center of the ring, and then applying her neck crank submission. Anna’s face showed abject pain as Harley had the hold perfectly locked in. The champion tried to find the ropes with no success since they were in the center of the ring. Harley tried to increase the pressure, causing Anna’s face to look absolutely tortured. The referee asked again and again if Anna wanted to stop the match, never getting an answer. But it wasn’t long before the champion ultimately tapped the mat, and Stringer called for the bell.

Lyn: A neck crank! You don’t often see that and... No way. No... Way.

Harley let go immediately when she heard the bell, her face incredulous and in shock as she had her hand raised in victory. The Sydney crowd erupted, and tears began to well up in Harley’s face when she was handed the Future Shock Championship.

Zack: WE JUST SAW A CHANGING OF THE GUARD! TELL’EM ABOUT IT, GABY!

Gaby: Here is your winner by submission….AND NEEEEEEWWWWWW FFW FUTURE SHOCK CHAMPION…………..HARLEY SHANNON!!!

As Harley thrusts her first Future Shock Champion over her head, the fast forward begins again.

Kyle slid the chair into place as Lacey hit it for the second time onto the chair. He quickly yanked it out of the ring as Lacey made the cover, and screamed at the referee!

Missy: Those damn chairs! Somebody needs to wrap one of them around Kyle’s bloody head! That man is a menace!

ONEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-Angela staggered forward to try to stop it when Valerie grabbed her by the legs. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Davis called for the bell to deafening boos from the crowd as Lacey and Valerie got to their feet, and embraced each other like longlost sisters.

Zack: And on day 339, the Future Shock Tag Team Championship has been stolen! Lacey and Valerie McKinley are supposedly the best tag team in Future Shock!

~ ~ ~

The boos in the arena that night are cut short by another fast forwarding, where we stop on...

Courtesy of Future Shock 84 - August 25, 2020

Zack: A Phoenix-rana!! She calls that SELF-IDENTIFY!!

The Hall of Famer dove across her to hook both legs for the cover as Pruitt slid into position to make the count. The fans came to their feet in anticipation!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Pruitt called for the bell to a roar from the crowd as Carys collapsed to the mat next to her opponent. Both women lay on the mat, barely moving for several seconds before Carys managed to sit up and get her hand raised.

Claire: Madyson got dropped on her head with the Self-Identity and that was enough for Carys to make history tonight. But you can see how much this has taken out of her. The Stone Sister gave the experienced veteran every bit as good as she got right from the opening bell!

Lexi: Your winner of the Diamond Tournament...AND NEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWW Future Shock Diamond Champion……..’THE HUMAN PINBALL’ CARYS McFARLANE!!!

The SVW Hall of Famer finally got to her feet, and stumbled to sit against the ropes, still taking deep breaths. A very tired smile formed on her face as she saw Adam appearing at the top of the ramp, and taking the Diamond Championship off its pedestal as he headed towards the ring.

Zack: Carys McFarlane has etched her name finally in Future Shock history! It’s been said in the past that she’s seemingly had trouble translating success from SVW to Future Shock...and she put it all together tonight! And she couldn’t have chosen a better time to do it!

~ ~

The viewer taps their chin and fast forwards the video one more time.

Courtesy of Future Shock 94 - April 20, 2021

Jacqui finally made it to her feet just as Angelina blasted Anna with a superkick as she was climbing onto the apron. She quickly turned, and nailed her second somersault reverse DDT on the Aussie before diving across her for the cover with her head turning every direction looking for interference!

Claire: THE C.R.E.A.M.!! It’s rising to the top!! And Fantastica is three seconds away from picking up a massive win!!

ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-

Melody grabbed her foot from the outside, but didn’t pull her off in enough time before Stringer counted three. The bell rang after that, and Angelina sat up with a look of astonishment on her face!

-EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Angelina fought to get back to her feet, and staggered backwards into the ropes to hold her up before the referee raised her hand.

Lexi: Ladies and gentlemen…..your winner by pinfall….and the 2021 FUTURE SHOCK CUP WINNER………...ANGELINA FANTASTICA!!!

Zack: And she damn well earned it too! Angelina dedicated this match to her father who lost his life on September 11th almost 20 years ago! And I’m sure he’s looking down with pride as the Future Shock OG….becomes the Future Shock Cup winner!

~ ~

Finally, the camera whirls around to see who the viewer is, that being Brianna Singer, who has a smile on her face before she aims the remote at the camera, and the show goes live inside the arena! “Boom” by the X Ambassadors is heard playing throughout the arena as fireworks shoot up from the stage and the corners of the ring.

My feet go boom boom boom
Boom boom boom, boom boom boom
My heart beats boom boom boom
Boom boom boom, boom boom boom

Balloons with 100 written on them then drop from the rafters as well as ribbons before the show cuts to Zack and Claire in the booth.

Zack: It was just over five years ago that Future Shock was reborn, and became the lifeblood of FFW that it has become today! Welcome back to the Future Shock Arena in Boston, Massachusetts, where tonight we are celebrating 100 episodes with every singles championship on the line!

Claire: 100 Episodes. It’s a landmark history making night. Some companies don’t even make it a fraction this far. Over the last five years we played host to some of the best and most talented talent in this industry; we’ve gone from strength to strength and gotten better and better with each passing month.

Zack: That was quite the stroll down memory lane, and only a small sample of all the things we’ve seen in Future Shock since the reboot in May of 2016. No doubt, we’ll create some new memories tonight.

Claire: We’ve already had a lot of historic moments since Episode 1, but tonight is going to be one of the biggest shows in Future Shock history. All four singles titles will be defended tonight in what are sure to be some of the most closely contested matches ever!

Zack: In our main event, the Future Shock Championship is on the line when the winner of the 2021 Global Wars series gets her shot at Mara Werth! I think the champion will find in Alessandra Esposito someone who can probably match her in strength, not to mention heart.

Claire: In terms of wrestling style they have a lot of similarities. Both strong, both determined and highly motivated. Alessandra might be a shade quicker. Mara that little bit more flexible. I think this could well be a Match of the Year contender.

Zack: The Anarchy Championship will be defended for the first time since it’s inception when Madyson Stone meets Destiny Campbell inside a fifteen foot high steel cage. And the only way to win is by getting the hell out of that cage!

Claire: For Destiny it’s going to be like a home away from home. Madyson has never really competed in an Anarchy style environment and we no-one can tell just how she’ll react to being inside the cage. Can the unknown quantity in Madyson overcome the experienced veteran inside the cage?

Zack: The Diamond Championship is up for grabs as River Campbell meets Cait Flanagan, who is just 3 days removed from competing at Unstoppable 12. Some are saying that could give River the inside track, but I don’t think those people are giving Cait and her manager enough credit for cunning.

Claire: And it’s not likely that they’ve slummed it in economy class on a commercial flight on the way back. Sure, there might be an element of jet lag to overcome but like you said, there is no duo in this business more cunning and devious as Kyle Kilmeade and Cait Flanagan. River will need all her wits about her tonight if she’s to leave with the Diamond Championship.

Zack: Luna Cortez’s Nova Championship has never been in more jeopardy than tonight when she meets a woman who is on the roll of her career! I’m calling it now, and predicting the winner of the Future Shock Cup will make history by becoming both the Nova and Future Shock Tag Champion, Angelina Fantastica!

Claire: Angelina is having a stellar 2021 so far. Everything that she touches seems to be turning to gold right now and she’ll be hoping that continues tonight. Though, Luna has been the Nova Champion for a long time now. There’s a good reason for that and we shouldn’t be too quick to write it off.

Zack: All those titles are on the line tonight, and we are going to finally find out who is the “Final Boss!” We’ve heard it mentioned for a month or so now, and the anticipation will reach a fever pitch tonight!

Claire: There’s a lot of anticipation over who that’s going to be and tonight the speculation comes to an end. We’ll find out right in the middle of the ring as the longest reigning FFW Champion and her manager calls out the “Final Boss”!

Zack: We’ll have that and no telling what else tonight as we celebrate the landmark 100th edition of Future Shock! So let’s get things rolling, and send it up to our illustrious ring announcer for the opening contest.

The camera switches to the ring, and there’s Lexi in yet another very revealing dress. She flashes a smile to the camera as she begins.

Lexi: The opening contest of Future Shock 100 is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the Future Shock Diamond Championship!

The lights extinguish inside the arena only for a hockey style goal horn to sound; causing a spotlight to snap on and highlight the one, the only, River Campbell stood at the top of the stage playing to the crowd, waving her arms to get them to join in with the clapping and the opening “Whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh’s…” of “The Enforcer” by Monster Truck. She nods her head, revelling in it as the lyrics kick in.

“I'm not looking for a fight
If you come at me tonight
I'm gonna make you sorry.
Don't try my patience, son
There's a reason I'm the one,
People stand aside for.”

With a smirk on her face she sets off down the ramp, beating her chest as she does so. When she reaches the ring she climbs up the ring steps. Entering the ring, the musician continues to play to the fans by standing on the middle rope and raising her hand in the air. She repeats this on all four sides of the ring before returning to her corner and waiting impatiently for the match to start. That’s when DOC heads down to the ring to join her.

Lexi: From New York, New York, weighing 133 lbs, standing 5’7” she is...RIVER CAMPBELL!!!

Zack: River Campbell is seconds away from challenging for her first title since coming to Future Shock. Also for the first time, she’s going to have her manager, DOC, in her corner. We know she can get the job done on her own, let’s see if having him at ringside makes a difference.

Claire: A lot of times you’d tell her to stick with what brought her to the dance. However, if DOC can provide a counterbalance to Kyle Kilmeade then she might be glad of his presence at ringside tonight, letting her concentrate fully on Cait and the Diamond Championship.

The camera zoomed in on some bandaging on one side of River’s face.

Zack: There you see the bandages from a fireball that was thrown in River’s face just last night on SVW television. But she isn’t going to let that stop her from chasing the Diamond title tonight.

The opening of Madonna’s “Material Girl” begins playing as Cait Flanagan steps out onto the ramp. With a wink, she licks her index finger and touches it to the ground and as she passes the spot, flames shoot up behind her. She reaches into her tights and pulls out a wad of cash, fanning it out for the crowd to see. Kyle follows after her with a smile on his face.

She tousles her hair and fans herself with the money, then shrugs and tosses it behind her, letting it get eaten up by the flames. Cait puts her hand up to her mouth as she seems to realize what she’s done, but then she shrugs her shoulders and cackles.

You know that we are living in a material world, and I am a material girl…

Still laughing, Cait skips the rest of the way down to the ring, tossing her hair over her shoulder and blowing mocking kisses to the men in the audience. She ascends the steps and ducks through the ropes as Kyle opens them for her, as she’s winking at the referee.

Lexi: From Belfast, Northern Ireland, she is the reigning and defending FFW Future Shock Diamond Champion…... “The Million Dollar Baby” Cait! Flanagan!

She seems to thank Lexi for her introduction and goes to her corner, laying across the turnbuckle and giving her opponent a cheeky little wave as she waits for things to get started.

Zack: Cait Flanagan is 3 days removed from competing at Unstoppable 12 in London, England. That combined with possible jet lag, I’m not sure she’s at 100%. And that’d make a difference if it were someone who cared about how they won. Cait doesn’t, and she’s not interested in a mat classic, she wants to win as fast as she can in any way she can that lets her leave with that title she’s held since last November.

Claire: She’s unapologetic and totally shameless about that too and in some respects I can see where she’s coming from. To her and Kyle this is a results business. It doesn’t matter how you run the race so long as you’re first across the finish line. So far it’s worked and Cait has been wildly successful as Diamond Champion and in the Global Wars series

Referee Melinda Davis takes the title from Cait, and holds it up high before Lexi leaves the ring with it. The bell sounds after that, and Cait turns towards Lexi and asks for the title back. But she doesn’t have time to grant Cait’s wish before River approaches at a fast clip with a corner clothesline to her back. The fans immediately come to life as she starts pounding the redhead’s face into the top turnbuckle and snaps off a belly to back suplex. DOC applauds his client as Kyle complains to the referee about the attack.

Zack: The bell rang, Kyle! Cait shouldn’t have turned her back on River, and besides that, Campbell has a receipt or two for her.

Claire: He’s really got much of a leg to stand on when we know full well Cait would have done the exact same thing given the chance.

Flanagan tries to get up, only to get snared again with another belly to back suplex followed by a third. The Boston crowd is loudly behind River as the redhead is trying to get to her feet again. Campbell bounces off the near side behind her, delivering a running one-handed bulldog that smashes her face into the mat. She quickly rolls to her feet, hitting the near side this time after Cait gets up and taking her down with a running neckbreaker. The musician heads towards the farthest corner, and drops down into a three point stance.

Zack: River’s going for an all out attack, and…. I think she’s setting up for the RAGIN’ RIVER already!

Claire: River’s looking to set a record for shortest Diamond Championship defence in history. If she can connect with this it’s going to be over!!

Campbell pawed the mat with one boot, almost like a bull waiting to come out of the gate. Kyle shouted at Cait, trying to warn her as she got to her feet. When she did,, River charged her at top speed and Cait immediately dropped back to the mat and rolled out to the floor. The challenger stopped herself before she hit anything, and spun around to see Kyle helping his client up on the outside and talking into her ear.

Zack: Smart thinking by Cait! River was looking to make this one hell of a short title defense, and Cait had to break up that barrage. I don’t think I’d let her stay out there too long for the powwow with Kilmeade though.

Claire: Smart thinking and a good way to save her title. With the added benefits of letting her catch her breath, break up the challenger’s momentum and change up her strategy. River has to keep her cool and be ready for whatever these two might have to throw at her.

Cait nodded her head as she heard whatever Kyle was telling her, at least until River reached over the top rope and pulled her onto the apron by her head. Campbell nailed several forearms to the side of Cait’s head before hooking it under one arm for a vertical suplex to bring her back into the ring. She scooped her over one shoulder, and  bolted towards the center of the ring with a running powerslam followed by a leg hook for the cover. Davis immediately fell into position.

Zack: Cait’s getting her clock cleaned, and I think we’re gonna crown a new Diamond Champion!

ONE!!!

TW-NOO!!

Cait kicked out, and River hopped back to her feet and went to the corner. She dropped back down into that same three point stance again, waving for the champion to get up. The boston crowd was wanting Cait to get back up as well. When the champion did that, River went for her clothesline again. But Flanagan darted to the left, and rolled out of the ring a second time.

Claire: A second time River got close. A second time Cait had it scouted. The Challenger might want to start thinking about going a different route to end this contest while she has the upper hand.

Kyle darted around the corner to confer with Cait, while DOC cheered on River and shouted encouragement to her. As Kyle continued sharing some words with her, River went to get her again. But as she leaned through the ropes to grab her head once more, Cait jammed a thumb into her eye that blinded her and allowed Cait to choke her out against the middle rope. She finally let go, and used a palm thrust to River’s throat to send her backwards into the ring before sliding in to go after her.

Zack: Cait created an opening for herself, and she needed one too. River was on top of her from Jump Street, wasn’t she?

Claire: Went to the well one too many times though. The Million Dollar Baby learns from her mistakes and she lured River in. It’s part of the reason why she’s been one of the hottest wrestlers in Future Shock in the last year.

Cait got her bearings as she got into the ring, and grabbed River’s arms behind her before she could rise to her feet. A volley of stomps landed against the back of her head before one last big stomp drove her face into the mat. The champion dropped down to the mat, and locked River into a gator roll that saw Campbell get tossed and turned in all four directions practically. Flanagan finally released it, and got back to her feet. And it was clear quickly that she had taken some of the fire out of River by the fact the challenger wasn’t popping up like she had been before now.

Zack: I’m guessing that’s what Kyle was telling Cait. Get River down and sap all the energy you can out of her. And she’s executing it to perfection.

Claire: She really is. We’re seeing her take the starch out of Campbell here as she slows the match down and begins to dictate the terms of this match. Flanagan can work this match to her advantage now.

Cait dragged River to the ropes, and used a catapult to send River neck first into the bottom one. She pulled her back towards the center again, and applied a headscissors after taking a seat on the mat. The referee knelt down to see if the challenger wanted to quit, but River didn’t say anything of the sort. She tried to push up to her knees, only for Cait to roll onto her stomach and spike the top of Campbell’s head into the mat a few times and then roll back to a seat on the mat.

Zack: If you ever wonder, fans, what a headscissors feels like, imagine putting your head into a set of pliers. I’m told that’s an accurate description.

Claire: It’s not in the slightest bit pleasant getting the sides of your head squeezed like it’s in a vice. It’s not made any better when your skull is bounced off the canvas either.

River tried to pull herself free using her hands pressed to the mat, but Cait started raining forearms to her back to stop her. Davis checked again, still getting the same refusal to stop the match. Then Campbell flipped over using her feet on top of Cait with her head still stuck before the referee dropped to count.

Zack: Look at that counter! Cait’s gonna get pinned in her own hold!

ONE!!!

TWOOO!!

Flanagan broke the headscissors and shoved River off her to break the count. The redhead quickly got back to her feet as River was trying to do the same. Cait caught her with a running kneelift to the head, knocking River back to her knees again before Cait snatched her from behind into a sleeper hold.

Claire: This is the perfect gameplan from Cait. The last thing she wanted to do was to get into a fist fight with River because there was only one winner in that. A technical battle though? Flanagan holds all the cards there.

River was already dazed on her feet as Cait yanked her to a standing position to get a better grip on the hold. And it didn’t take long for the challenger to start dropping back to a knee. DOC began shouting at his client, telling her where the nearest ropes were. And Campbell started trying to pull Cait in that direction. The Diamond Champion let her get a couple steps before River lunged for the middle rope, but it didn’t happen. That’s when the musician reached up for Cait’s head, and dropped her with a stunner. Flanagan bounced off the mat as River slumped forward with her head down.

Zack: Another fantastic counter from River right there, but she’s got to revive herself quickly. Cait has targeted her head all night.

Claire: It’s all important that she makes the most of this opening while she’s got it. Otherwise her first Future Shock title match is going to end in heartbreak and disappointment.

The fans began stomping their feet as they tried to get River back into the match. The guitarist was taking in deep breaths before she started to raise her head and get herself together. Finally making it back to her feet, she spotted Cait was already up. The redhead darted towards her, looking for a running European uppercut. But Campbell ducked it, and countered with an inverted atomic drop that froze up the redhead. The crowd started getting louder as River began to tee off with one right hand after another, sending Cait reeling until the musician hooked her head and drilled her with a DDT before making the cover.

Claire: Thunderous DDT!! River’s looking to put this one to bed once more and she might have it!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NOPE.

Cait kicked out again, and River rolled towards the corner. She propped up on one knee, smacking herself to shake off the cobwebs from Cait’s offense.

Zack: Like her or not, Cait is proving to be damn resilient tonight. And River’s still trying to lift the fog in her own head.

She seemed to get a clearer mind as she saw Cait beginning to get to her feet, and barreled out of the corner with a running boot to the face that dropped her. River bounced off the near side quickly, coming back with a Fameasser that dropped Cait back to the mat. She doubled back to the corner, and got into another three point stance. The fans knew what was coming as Kyle hopped up onto the apron. He wasn’t there long though before DOC yanked him down to the floor, and blasted him with a left hook to knock the manager to the floor.

Zack: We’re about to see the RAGIN’ RIV----Wait...WHAT A LEFT HOOK!! Where the hell did that come from?! DOC floored Kyle!

Claire: That’s why he’s out here!! He knew Kyle wouldn’t be able to stay out of this if his client was in trouble and after all the bad mouthing Kilmeade has done towards DOC, that’s gotta be pretty satisfying for him!!

The third time was the charm as Cait started to get to her feet, and the guitarist launched towards her with her Clothesline from Hell that almost flipped the redhead in the air. She dove on top of Cait for the cover as Davis fell into position.

Zack: She got it that time! RAGIN’ RIVER!!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Davis called for the bell a pop from the fans, and the new champion made it to her feet and got her hand raised.

Claire: Damnnnnn! River almost took Flanagan’s head off with that clothesline!! It was the exclamation point on one heck of a display from Campbell on the biggest night of her career!

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall…..AAAAANNDDD NEEEEEEEWWWW FFW Future Shock Diamond Champion…………….RIVER CAMPBELL!!!

DOC headed into the ring, and hugged his client before the referee handed her the Diamond Championship. River looked at it with a growing smile on her face, showing it to DOC and then hugging it herself.

Zack: The first match on the 100th episode of Future Shock, and we got a new Diamond Champion! River Campbell has captured her first title in Future Shock over a very game Cait Flanagan!

Claire: The Million Dollar Baby has had one heck of a reign as the Diamond Champion and Adam has already earmarked her for bigger and better things. But this is River’s night as she once more showed that she is a force to be reckoned with and a worthy Diamond Champion!!

River climbed the corner, and showed the title to all her fans in Boston. And as they celebrated with her, the show cut elsewhere.

Dante’s Dismissal

The show heads to the back, and sees a conversation going on between the Assistant Director of Future Shock Brianna Singer, Sydney Christensen and Dante Knox. The triio are seen outside her office, and the camera moves closer to pick up the conversation.

Dante: I say we add Sydney here to the match tonight with Alessandra and Mara for the Future Shock Championship. Watching those two play pattycakes with each other would bore most of America to sleep, not to mention the fine people of Canada.

The redhead folds her arms against her chest and lets out a slight sigh.

Brianna: Mr. Knox, need I remind you that your client does indeed have a Future Shock title match, just like everyone else in Global Wars. I cannot just go changing the title match tonight just because you demand it.

Dante: But you’re the assistant director! You can do anything. Bri Means Business, right? Well that’s business to me!

He taps his chin for a moment.

Dante: Okay, not tonight. Why don’t we bring a ring to Laguna Beach and have Sydney face the winner?!

Brianna pinches the bridge of her nose.

Brianna: Because there are NO title matches at the pool party. Besides, building a ring over a pool is damn near impossible.

Dante let out a sigh as he heard this.

Dante: Look, they built one on that boat last year. I’m sure with some structural engineers and whatnot that we can--

He is cut out by a very audible groan coming from Sydney, who stood just a little way back from her manager and the Assistant Director.

Sydney: Stop, okay? You just need to stop. Didn’t you hear Brianna? It’ll happen eventually.

Dante looks more than a little taken aback at Sydney’s comments.

Dante: As your manager, I am only trying to get you what you--

Sydney holds up her hand, cutting him off.

Sydney: Look, I’ve got enough issues around here, as anyone with eyes can see. I don’t need you to make things more difficult than they already are. I know things are about to change around here.

She shrugs her shoulders somewhat nonchalantly.

Sydney: I think the first thing that is going to change…..is you. I’ll see you around.

With that, she turns on her heels and walks off down the hall, leaving Dante standing there looking confused and Brianna fighting back a smirk.

When the show comes back from the commercial, the viewers can see the steel cage hanging over the ring as a few spotlights illuminate it. Lexi stands in the center of the ring for now to make the introductions.

Zack: You can tell what’s next, fans. There’s fifteen feet of steel that will be the confines of the Anarchy Championship match with a very important rule. Tell’em about it, Lexi.

Lexi: The following contest is a steel cage match for the FFW Future Shock Anarchy Championship! The ONLY way to win is by escaping the cage with both feet touching the floor!

Claire: That’s right folks. No pinfalls. No submissions. Just have to beat down your opponent enough that they can’t stop you from getting out of the cage. Do that and you walk away with the Anarchy Championship.

The lights go out completely as Sisters Are Doing It for Themselves” starts to play. A lightning effect of white and blue pyrotechnics erupt, lighting up the stage for a second at a time. In each of the flashes the silhouette of three female figures standing in a line on the stage.

We said, "Sisters are doin' it for themselves"
Standin' on their own two feet
And ringin' on their own bells
We said, "Sisters are doin' it for themselves"

The pyrotechnics finish and as the lights come back up a sound like thunder plays on top of the music track and a puff of smoke comes from the bottom of the stage, still hiding the female figures for a moment. The smoke clears to reveal the three Stone sisters; Melody, Madyson and Mikayla standing hand in hand with their heads raised, looking towards the ceiling.

Now this is a song to celebrate
The conscious liberation of the female state
Mothers, daughters and their daughters too, oh yeah
Woman to woman, we're singin' with you

Lexi: Introducing alongside Melody and Mikayla of Trinity, this is…...MADYSON STONE!!

They unlink their hands and take off to the ring at a run and all jump up onto the apron at the same time. Melody and Madyson stand at a corner each, while Mikayla jumps up to sit on the top rope; all facing out towards the crowd. The two older sisters climb through the ropes while Mikayla stands up on the top rope and then backflips into the ring to land between them with a smirk. The three make their way to the corner and share some hushed words as the music comes to an end.

Zack: Madyson Stone has proven she can pin the Anarchy Champion. She’s done it before. She doesn’t have to do it tonight, she just has to get out of the cage first. And she’s brought her own backup as she always does.

Claire: Tonight is a baptism of fire for her. Her first foray into true Anarchy Championship rules and it’s going up against the Champion, surrounded by steel. In my opinion it’s a smart move for her to have her sisters out here to support her and run interference just in case, after all, a cage didn’t stop Nyx from getting involved when Destiny won the title.

The entire arena is engulfed in light, as the titantron, headlights, basically every light and board in the arena turns white, and a distorted sound of a bell is heard, followed by the piercing sound of wind. Dry ice smoke fills up the aisle between the gorilla and the ring, and "Behind Blue Eyes" by Limp Bizkit starts playing. In from the back comes a music box from which emerges the living doll, Nyx. As she raises her arms exposing the Anarchy Championship belt, soon comes from under the mist, her master the Ultraviolence Champion, Destiny Campbell, her head hanging low, letting her hair cover her face, as she makes her way up to the music box. Staring at Nyx, she’s given the belt to her by the doll, and then she trudges down the entrance ramp, the belt’s strap dragging on the floor. She slowly walks her way to the ring showing absolutely no emotion other than sadism and pleasure, seemingly uninterested in the audience's reaction to her presence while Nyx hops around her making faces at the audience.

Lexi: And her opponent, escorted to the ring by Nyx... From the Beyond… The reigning and defending FFW Future Shock Anarchy Champion... DESTINY CAMPBELL!

As she reaches the ring apron, she slowly crawls into the ring, and does her usual preparation ritual, as she lays her belt on the mat, takes off her gloves and her hoodie, and then goes to her knees and opens her arms wide, looking to the sky as if she were talking to the heavens. The lights and screens slowly come back to normal one by one as a smile creeps up her face, joined by a mad chuckle. She then looks directly into her opponent's eyes, empty stare, and slowly brings herself to her feet, before letting her arms fall.

Zack: Destiny Campbell is easily the most dangerous champion in Future Shock. I don’t think you can plan too much for an opponent like her other than be ready for anything.

Claire: It’s not just her unpredictability that makes her so dangerous either. The fact of the matter is she has little regard for her own health let alone that of her opponents and isn’t just willing but is happy to risk life and limb to be successful.

Referee Stephen Wilson takes the title from Destiny, and holds it overhead before Lexi leaves the ring with it. As soon as she’s out, the cage starts to lower towards the ring while Destiny looks up and watches it with seeming amazement. Meanwhile Madyson is loosening up in her corner, and is getting some encouragement from her sisters on the floor while the cage is secured around the ring.

Zack: There it is, folks. There’s only two ways out of this cage. You can go over the top of it to the floor or through the door. And if it was me in there, the door would be the fastest way out by far. What do you think, Claire?

Claire: The door is probably the fastest and the safest way to get out of the cage, but to get there you’re going to have to through your opponent and that is easier said than done.

The bell sounded to start the match as Madyson looked across at Destiny, who was busy running her fingers along the cage wall as if she were petting an animal. It brought a smile to her face, but Madyson didn’t let her have much of a chance to enjoy it before she darted across towards her with a running shoulder tackle that drove her backwards into the corner. A series of shoulder thrusts landed against her body to drive the air out of her before Madyson scooped her onto her shoulders for a Samoan drop. The Anarchy Champion started back to her feet, and Stone immediately began firing kicks into her left leg rapidly. It caused the champion to stumble forward before Stone used a short baseball slide to her ankle to put her down on the mat again.

Zack: I think Madyson’s already showing her hand in this match. She’s trying to take out Destiny’s leg, and that’ll certainly slow her down whenever she tries to get out.

Claire: It’ll make it tougher for her to climb, she’ll be slower to try and get to the door but beyond that Zack, this is going to weaken her base and make some of her offence just that little less potent. Take punching, for example, if your legs and hips aren’t stable you won’t generate the same amount of power.

Madyson grabbed her foot, and began driving her knee into the mat repeatedly and then draped her foot across the bottom rope. Stone left her feet after that with a double stomp to the side of her knee, snapping it down to the mat. She waved for the outside referee, Malcolm Parks, to open the door. He did just that, and Madyson headed towards it. She didn’t get more than two steps away before Destiny grabbed her foot with both hands, causing the challenger to turn around and stomp away at her hands to get her to let go. But Campbell refused to do so, and Madyson turned back. She pulled her by the head, and lifted her into a shin breaker that crumpled the champion again on the mat. Stone glanced back to the door just as Destiny was starting to sit up. The challenger shook her head, and flipped Destiny over into a single leg Boston crab.

Zack: Madyson was ready to claim the title in record time, but Destiny had other ideas. Remember, fans, anything goes in that cage. Destiny can’t rely on rope breaks, so Madyson could hold this for as long as she feels it necessary.

Claire: That’s the other problem going for the door, Zack. You might leave your opponent on the mat but they can still reach out and grab your ankles. If you can climb quick enough then you’re going to force them to come back to their feet to stop you and cut their recovery time.

The challenger sat down deep in the hold, and Destiny gritted her teeth and grimaced in pain as she tried to find a way. She reached for the ropes, but the referee reminded her there were no rope breaks. Campbell’s face showed the pain she was feeling, and Madyson leaned back to add more pressure to it at the same time. Meanwhile on the outside, Nyx wasn’t even watching the match, instead looking up at the lights. But Melody and Mikayla had their eyes glued to what was going on.

Zack: I like Madyson’s strategy in this match. She’s taken the fight right to Destiny, doing everything she can to immobilize her so she can get out of this cage as unscathed as possible.

Claire: As smart as it is, Madyson is still going to have her work cut out for her. You don’t have the sort of success that Destiny has had in these types of matches without being as tough as a two dollar steak.

Madyson stood up finally, dealing a couple more stomps to Destiny’s leg before she waved for the door to be opened again. On the outside, Parks pulled it open for her. The challenger headed towards it, only for Destiny to scamper across the ring almost like a snake and grab her foot again. Stone looked down at her, and dragged her back to her feet. She tried to grab her leg again, but Destiny broke her grasp and drove a knee into her stomach instead. That took the wind out of her, and Destiny quickly grabbed her head for a springboard bulldog off the ropes. Campbell used those same ropes to get to her feet, and was having some trouble already putting weight on her left leg, causing her to start rubbing it with her hands.

Zack: That’s the first offense we’ve seen out of the champion in this match, and she’s trying to get that left leg back in order. She’ll need to work quick though.

Claire: It’s the opening Destiny needed and given her experience inside the ring, I’m sure she won’t squander it.

She tested it again, finding that it was working just slightly better. When she spotted Madyson getting up, she grabbed two handfuls of her hair and sent her face first into the cage wall. Stone’s head was then bounced off the metal beam in the center of the wall before Destiny pulled her head back to bite into her face. That caused the challenger to scream in pain, but the referee couldn’t stop her. She finally broke it, leaving bite marks around Madyson’s eye and then proceeded to grate her face against the cage wall.

Zack: That was disturbing! It looked like Destiny was trying to bite her eye out for a minute there, and now this cage is really coming into play.

Claire: Destiny would do that even if this wasn’t inside a cage. Now she’s using the steel like a tag team partner. Madyson is getting a rough introduction to the Anarchy Division at the hands of the Champion right now.

Finally, Destiny jerked her head away from the cage into a reverse DDT. She rolled away from her to all fours, and crawled back towards Madyson. The challenger was holding her face in pain as Destiny poked her with her finger, almost as if she were trying to see if she was still alive (which she clearly was). When she saw Stone starting to get up, that brought a smile to Destiny’s face. The champion got back to her feet, and had a slight limp as she pulled the challenger to her feet. She fired Madyson into the nearest corner, and followed her with a running double knee strike to her chest. She yanked her out for a facebuster, and looked around after it connected. Destiny locked eyes with the referee on the outside, who opened the door for her with an alarmed look on his face.

Zack: I think Parks is just guessing that Destiny wants the door opened. It’s hard to tell what this woman is thinking at any given time.

Claire: I certainly wouldn’t want to try and second guess her motives. Though given Nyx is on the outside it might be wise not to keep that door open any longer than necessary.

The Anarchy Champion started crawling on all fours towards the door, though she had to stop and rub her left knee for a second and continue again. She got her hand on the door through the ropes before Madyson was back to her feet. She grabbed Destiny by her feet, trying to pull her back but the champion had both hands on the bottom rope. That didn’t stop Stone from trying to pull her free though as she continued yanking as hard as she could on her feet, till Destiny was pulled free and landed face down on the mat. Madyson grabbed both legs this time, and bent backwards into a Muta lock submission.

Zack: Looks like Madyson’s been picking up a trick or two. Just like before, the champion doesn’t have the luxury of a rope break. She can be stuck in this all night, if that’s what it takes.

Claire: This is absolute torture on the legs, the neck and the spine. It’s just an unnatural position to be in and puts pressure all the way up the spinal column. Unfortunately though, it’s not the easiest submission to hold - that bridge can take a fair amount of core strength to maintain for any length of time.

Destiny’s fists pounded the mat, showing the pain she was enduring as Madyson shouted in her ear that she was leaving with the title tonight. The fans cheered her on too until Destiny used one hand to gouge at her eyes to cause her to break the hold. Both women collapsed to the mat for a couple seconds until it was Madyson who was able to get up first. She grabbed Campbell’s foot and dragged her back to the center of the ring away from the door. She then went to apply a Texas cloverleaf, but when she was bent over, Destiny grabbed her head to jam both thumbs in her eyes.

Zack: There’s no rules in the cage, and Destiny is taking full advantage of that. Madyson’s entire plan for this match seems to be to take out the champion’s legs. But sometimes that brings her into proximity to her hands.

Claire: We’re seeing the different levels of experience here. Stone is wrestling this like it’s a wrestling match that just so happens to be a cage while Destiny is taking full advantage of this being a lawless environment to wrest back the upperhand.

Campbell slid away from her, and made it back to her feet. Her left leg was troubling her again, causing her to limp a little and rub it some more. As she did that, Madyson had gotten her vision cleared and went right after her. As soon as she got close though, Destiny used an open hand palm strike to her face that floored the challenger where she stood. The sight of her collapsing made Destiny smile before she slid along the ropes to the corner and began working on the metal arm behind the padding.

Zack: We’ve seen that shotei win matches in the past, and I think Destiny should be trying to get out of the cage. But she’s not, and I don’t know what she has in mind.

Claire: Whatever it is, it’s bad news for Madyson and is only going to cause her more pain and distress I think.

Madyson was getting herself together, and starting to get to her feet. Meanwhile, Destiny had detached the metal arm that held the turnbuckle to the ring post, causing the top rope to start sagging on either side of her. Campbell glanced towards her to see her getting back to her feet before she struck, swinging the metal arm into the side of the challenger’s head and knocking her to the canvas. Mikayla and Melody both looked very concerned as Destiny looked at the weapon in her hand with a soft smile, as though it were her best friend.

Zack: Good Lord! She might have knocked her out! The Anarchy Champion is literally deconstructing the ring, and you can see the top rope sagging in the cage!

Claire: It was like she was clubbing a baby seal! After that, you’ve got to think Destiny could stroll on out of here and claim the first successful defence of her title...but I think that sadistic side has been awoken and she’s not through with her opponent just yet.

Campbell dropped down to the mount position over Madyson, and used the metal arm to choke her. She pressed it tightly against her throat, causing the challenger to gasp and try to get free. There was already blood on the side of her forehead where the arm hit seconds ago. Campbell looked down with glee choking Madyson, until the challenger finally stopped moving. That’s when she let go, and climbed back to her feet, still with a limp.

Zack: She might have choked her out, Claire! Madyson stopped moving all of a sudden, and the Anarchy Champion has her pick of ways she wants to leave this cage right now. If she wants to!

Claire: Either Madyson is unconscious or she deserves an Emmy if she’s gold bricking - she’s got me and everyone in this arena totally convinced.

Destiny tossed the metal arm to the mat, and started to head for the cage wall instead of the door. She began her ascent a bit wobbly though, since her leg was still bothering her. But she was almost to the top when Madyson sat up with an angry look on her face. The sight of her getting up popped the fans as she got back to her feet. Stone glanced for the door as it was opening, and then up to Destiny now on top of the cell. She made a fast decision, and headed after the champion and started to climb up towards the top with her!

Zack: Stone’s up now, and I think I’d have gone for the door right there! That’s a much shorter distance than Destiny still has to get down to the floor.

Claire: It might be shorter but I don’t think this is about winning the title anymore. I think Stone wants a little payback for the turnbuckle arm to the head and almost getting choked to death.

Campbell was about to swing her other leg over the top of the cage to head down before Madyson caught up with her. Stone straddled the top of the cage with her as the two started trading blows, causing each of them to teeter over both the ring and the floor below. That was when Nyx seemed to come to life at ringside. She grabbed a teapot from under the ring, and giggled before she began her ascent up to meet Destiny. But that didn’t last long before Mikayla went up after her!

Zack: There goes Nyx, and we know what that teapot is filled with! She’s gonna----There goes Mikayla after her! I hope neither one of those two up top falls to the floor!

Claire: And this is the reason why Nyx shouldn’t even have been allowed to stay out here at ringside. Get her Kayla!

While Madyson and Destiny continued trading shots, Mikayla caught up with Nyx and began throwing elbows into her head to knock her back down. It was working too until Nyx tried to blast her with the teapot instead. Mikayla was able to deflect the shot, and cause her to drop the teapot back down to the floor. Nyx’s mouth opened as she began to climb back down to get it, and Mikayla was following after her.

Zack: This is turning into a prison riot with people on top of the cage, the side of it, and now about to return to the floor! But there are no rules!

Claire: It’s total Anarchy Zack!! That’s what the division promises and we’re certainly getting it with these two combatants tonight!

Madyson grabbed Destiny’s head with both hands, and bounced it off the top beam of the cage. Campbell began teetering again as Stone swung her leg back inside the cage. She hooked Destiny’s head, and snapped her back to the mat with a thunderous superplex! They both bounced off the mat on impact as the fans came to their feet!

Zack: Jesus Christ! That was the biggest superplex I’ve ever seen! If this match allowed pinfalls, Madyson would be about to become the new Anarchy Champion!

Claire: That’s going to have taken it out of both wrestlers, Zack. Madyson might have been able to control her landing a little bit better but she still fell one heck of a way and there’s a lot less give in that mat than you’d think!

Madyson’s body barely missed landing on the metal arm laying in the ring. But when she tried to sit up, her back still hurt and her hand clasped to it immediately. She turned her attention to the door, and Parks opened it for her as she struggled back to her feet. Destiny rolled to her side, one hand grasping at her lower back as the challenger started to make her way to the door. On the outside, Nyx went to get the teapot again as Melody was muttering something to herself. Nyx couldn’t lift it off the floor.

Claire: We’ve seen this before!! Nyx is struggling to lift that teapot - like it’s bolted to the floor and Madyson’s in a race to get to the door before Destiny realises what’s happening!!

Zack: She’s not got much time before Destiny does exactly that! Madyson has to move quickly!

Stone was almost to the door, and Destiny was back to her feet. The champion snatched up the metal arm, and charged towards her. But Stone caught her coming in with a superkick that sent the metal back into Campbell’s face and dropped her. The challenger spun around, stepped over the middle rope and staggered out of the door. Parks called for the bell as Melody and Mikayla darted towards their sister.

Claire: Destiny’s got the metal kicked straight back into her face and that’ll have loosened a couple of molars!! MADYS DONE IT!!!

Lexi: Your winner of the match…..AND NEEEEEEEEEEEWWW FFW Future Shock Anarchy Champion………….MADYSON STONE!!!

Both Mikayla and Melody helped their sister stay on her feet when the referee handed her the Anarchy Championship to a pop from the crowd. Madyson managed to get her feet under well enough to stand under her own power before she accepted it and hugged it to her body.

Zack: I’ve seen a lot of cage matches, but that one was one of the wildest I can recall! And with a little assistance from her sisters to keep Nyx from getting involved, Madyson Stone has captured her first title in Future Shock!

Claire: Madyson walked into the lions den tonight against one of the toughest, most experienced women in this type of environment. She refused to be beaten and she’s earned the right to call herself the Anarchy Champion!!

Madyson made it to the broadcast table, and climbed up onto in front of Zack and Claire to hold her new title up for all of the fans to see it.

Zack: Congratulations to Madyson Stone on capturing Future Shock gold tonight in Boston! We’re gonna repair the ring, and be right back!

The show went to commercial with Madyson pumping the title over her head before hopping down to the floor and laying it across her shoulder.

One Violent Blonde

When the show goes backstage at the Future Shock Arena for the first time, that’s where we find Christian Kincaid coming out of the locker room of the Cortez Sisters. He gestures for the camera to follow him as he walks.

Christian: Future Shock 100…. Doesn’t feel like it’s been that long. Time flies, right? Now that I know the Nova Champion is set and ready to defend her title in a little bit, I want you to come with me so you can see another woman I happen to manage who is about to make her return to the ring.

The camera follows alongside him as he weaves through one hallway into another before finding himself outside another door. Only this one was slightly open. He gave a knock anyway to alert whoever was inside to his presence and let himself in.

Christian: Guess who?

Obviously she knew as the camera followed him, and he held out a hand for a beautiful blonde to join him on camera.

Christian: I’m sure you all haven’t forgotten the award winning Leighana.

If Leighana heard the negative reaction she was getting from the fans in attendance, she certainly didn’t seem to notice or cre as she stepped into view, giving Christian a quick hug as she came through the bathroom door and closed it behind her.

Leighana: I don’t much care if they forgot about me, sweets. Long as they remember I certainly haven’t forgotten them, ‘specially since I don’t make a habit of forgetting things that happen where this business is concerned.

Christian: I specifically waited for this night and this show to bring Leighana back to everyone’s attention. After all, this show is a landmark and all. Most places never make it to 25 shows, much less 100. And given Leighana’s past of being able to make moments happen, there was no better time or place. Look at her.

Christian encourages the camera as it pans up from her feet back to where it was before he said anything.

Christian: She is in phenomenal shape. She’s in the best shape of her life honestly. And she’s more than ready to pick up where she left off. And where she left off was a certain magician that has found herself in contention for the Diamond Championship. Jamie knocked off Cait to the surprise of everyone….including herself, going by some tweets she made afterwards. It’s always good when you can surprise yourself by winning an important match.

Leighana: Is it, though? I can’t fathom the idea of going into a match where you think you might lose. I’ve never walked into a match ith that intention...unless y’all wanna county that time I left Carys in the dirt, but I had no intention of actually having anything to do with that match anyway, so it doesn’t count. The fact that there’s someone in direct contention for a title who doesn’t believe in herself is mindblowing, honestly.

Christian: That being the case, I thought that would be a good place to start. Now I know tonight’s show is booked and we’re in the middle of it right now. But…

He held up his hands as he shrugged.

Christian: Whenever Adam or Bri wants to make that match happen, please do at your earliest convenience. But before that, why not let the fans see Leighana is just as talented outside the ring? So I propose that management pick whatever kind of challenge they would like, and we see Leighana and Jamie compete at the pool party next show.

He turns his attention to the blonde at his side.

Christian: What do you think?

Leighana: I am entirely a fan of this idea. Get to prove that I’m infinitely better than Jamie and have fun at Laguna Beach at the same time? Sign me up for that!

Christian: There you have it. Doesn’t matter what kind of challenge it is. Just put Leighana into it with Jamie, and you’ll get to see she is a multi-faceted athlete who can do more than just beat someone down in the ring. It can be in the water, on the beach, wherever. We aren’t picky. And Leighana will prove the hardest part of that day for her will be deciding what to wear for it.

Leighana: Not even that, I got my outfit picked out for the pool party! And what I’m wearing under it! I’m easy that way, after all. Gimme some shorts and a crop top and I’m good to go. All that aside though...just let me have a good ol’ crack at Jamie and we’ll be breezy.

Christian nodded his head in agreement with that before the show cut to a brief commercial for the next episode’s pool party at Laguna Beach.

Samantha Marks 100

After the commercial for the pool party in 2 weeks, the show returns live as “Can’t Be Tamed” by Miley Cyrus begins to play over the PA system. The fans don’t give the warmest of reactions as the owner of FFW appears on the stage. Samantha is handed a microphone as she waits for her music to be cut.

Samantha: Future Shock 100.

Mentioning that at least gets her a little bit of a pop.

Samantha: I remember the day in late October of 2010 when my former second in command came to me with this strange idea for a show. A show were aspiring wrestlers competed in various contests for a chance to get a match and win a FFW contract. I also remember telling that man that I thought it wasn’t an idea that FFW needed. But he persisted with tweaks to the show till I finally gave him the green light and a small budget to film it for the website. I was sure it wouldn’t catch on. And 21 seasons after that, I was proven wrong.

She admits that with a bit of a sharp inhale, not something she’s used to saying out loud.

Samantha: That individual would end up leaving FFW, and I would spend a considerable amount of money investing in Future Shock. I bought this arena. I hired the person I felt was the best person for the job, Adam Grant, who as you know is still in charge. And I told him that Future Shock would henceforth be FFW’s farm system. This is where we would get young women fairly new to this sport a chance to improve their craft and their skills to have them ready for becoming part of the FFW roster. And on May 10, 2016, Future Shock was a full fledged show with no more seasons, but a persistent part of FFW. Slowly the challenges were weaned out..I never did like those. More than just the Future Shock Championship was called for. It grew to now four singles titles, a tag title as well as Cups and now Global Wars. Then the unexpected happened.

The crowd has stopped booing her, and instead seems to be listening for the most part.

Samantha: The women on this roster proved they are far more than just talent to be plucked for FFW. They proved they are every bit equal to FFW, so much so that many of FFW’s most decorated and talented have wanted to come here. So much so that this brand has toured the world several times over. So much so that Future Shock proved itself as not a stepchild to FFW….but it’s sister. And…..I couldn’t be prouder.

That wins over some of the crowd.

Samantha: To see what Future Shock has become cannot be understated. It is not just the lifeblood of FFW, it is the heart of it too. And tonight as it reaches 100 episodes, I am not going to take credit for that. Yes, I put forth the capital. Anyone could spend money though. But it wasn’t me who made this what it is. As I said, I originally thought the idea was terrible. It is because of the women in that locker room past AND present. We’ve had a large number of women come through Future Shock, and each one of them helped put at least one brick in the wall. Each of them helped lay the foundation. Some obviously more than others. But without the ones who came before and the ones who are here now, Future Shock would not be what it is today. Tonight as we are here at 100 episodes since the reboot, it is not me...it is not Adam Grant….that got us here. It’s the women who stepped into the ring week in and week out.

The crowd really starts getting behind what she has to say now.

Samantha: So tonight on the landmark 100th episode of Future Shock, I didn’t come here to sing my own praises. I didn’t comet o make any kinds of edicts on what is going to happen. No major announcements. Just a message to everyone who has ever been part of Future Shock in any capacity….

She pauses briefly.

Samantha: Thank you.

The crowd begins a “Thank You” chant at her words, and Samantha hands her microphone off. The crowd’s chanting continues as the show cuts to a commercial break.

The show returns from the commercial break to the ring as Lexi is stepping through the ropes and giving some of the fans a view as she bends over to do so.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is for the FFW Future Shock Nova Championship!

Zack: Our second of four title matches on tap for tonight’s show, I think this is the one with the most potential for a new champion to be crowned. Angelina has been on a MASSIVE roll for months now, and I’m not sure if Luna can derail it.

Claire: I’m not prepared to write off Luna because she has been on something of a hot streak since she returned. But you’re on the nose when it comes to Angelina. From the Future Shock Cup victory, to the Future Shock Tag Titles and, of course, was the only competitor to score a win for Future Shock at FFW vs Future Shock a couple of weeks back and all of that can be seen on FFW All Access!

The stage is bathed in pink light as “Raise Your Glass” by Pink starts playing. After a moment, Angelina Fantastica comes out in a pair of baggy black pants and a pink cropped tank top, her hair tied back in two French braids, threaded through with silver ribbons. She makes her way up to the ring, bopping to the music and grinning at the fans in attendance. Using the bottom rope, she pulls herself up onto the apron and smiles for the camera before gripping the top rope and backflipping easily into the ring.

Lexi: Repping Staten Island, New York, it’s the Shaolin Stunna, the OG, the prodigal daughter of Future Shock, the one and only Angelina Fantastica!

Angelina looks at Lexi and then climbs the turnbuckle, raising her fist in the air while facing the crowd before jumping down, turning to face her opponent.

Zack: Angelina Fantastica is already packing some gold, and that’s the Future Shock Tag Titles. Tonight, she could make history as the first woman to ever hold that title and the Nova Championship at the same time. And I don’t know that I’d bet against her.

Claire: Throughout 2021, Angelina has been making history. She has another chance tonight on this milestone show for Future Shock and has all the tools to cash in successfully tonight.

Look out, they're closing in on you now
Wake up, or you’ll wake up six feet down
Nobody's got your back in this town
Knock 'em. In the. Teeth. NOW!

The intro to Set It Off's "Killer in the Mirror" starts on the sound system, and lights start blinking in random colors as Luna Cortez walks onto the entrance ramp. She's soon joined by her manager Christian Kincaid, as he stands right beside her to show her off for the crowd. She stops right before the ramp, taking a spin and stopping in a particular pose, winking for the cameras before turning on her heels and running her hands up her slender body and then bringing them above her head, only to then point to the ring... and then wave off the booing audience. Shaking her head, Luna then starts strutting down the entrance ramp, rolling her eyes at the fans in attendance as she makes her way to the ring.

Lexi: And her opponent, escorted to the ring by Christian Kincaid... From Fort Worth, Texas... the reigning and defending FFW Future Shock Nova Champion…...LUNA CORTEZ!

When Luna climbs into the ring, she makes her way to the ropes facing the hard camera, stepping onto the second rope and sitting on the top rope, her back turned to the hard cam and the audience, as she makes a pose similar to the one she did atop the ramp, winking at the cameras before she waves the crowd off once again and hops back down to the ring, making her way to her corner and sharing some last minute strategy with Christian.

Zack: Luna Cortez recaptured the Nova Championship last November, and you can easily see what that title means to her. She’s gonna have to stop Angelina early, because if she lets her get control early, I think she’ll be leaving the Nova title behind tonight.

Claire: Any time Angelina gets momentum behind her in this match, she’s going to be a force to be reckoned with and as difficult to stop as a runaway locomotive. Luna might be best served to try and keep the challenger grounded tonight.

Referee Jennifer Stringer made sure neither were hiding weapons, and took Luna’s title to hold in the air for the crowd. Lexi took it with her after that, and the bell sounded. Angelina immediately got into Luna’s face before she was out of the corner entirely, telling her in no uncertain terms that she was taking the Nova Championship tonight. Luna rolled her eyes and put her hand in front of her face before Fantastica slapped that hand away and nailed her with the other. The Boston crowd loved Angelina’s spunky attitude as she began hammering more fists into the champion’s head, driving her back into her own corner before whipping her across to the opposite corner. Luna stopped herself before colliding with it, but Angelina was practically right behind her with a running dropkick to her back. That sent Luna chest first into the corner anyway, and allowed Angelina  to pull her down into a backslide!

Zack: Angelina’s showing some fire, and she wants to make Luna’s night as short as possible here!

ONE!!!

T-NOPE!

Luna kicked out before the two even touched the mat, and rolled towards the ropes. She was only halfway to her feet before Angelina was there to greet her with a running kneelift to the body that doubled the Nova Champion over. She fired off two more knees into Luna’s abdomen, and dropped her with a DDT.

Claire: Fantastica is starting off the way she means to go on and just planted the Nova Champion with a ferocious DDT right there.

Cortez started to get up again, but that didn’t turn out well either as Angelina hooked her head for a corner bulldog, sending the top of her head into the middle turnbuckle. The champion dropped to her knees as Angelina hopped up onto the second rope, and came down with both knees into Luna’s back, sending her face first into the bottom turnbuckle. Fantastica yanked her out of the corner and dropped down to make the cover again.

Zack: My goodness, Angelina is taking the fight right to the Nova Champion! I don’t think Luna was expecting this!

ONE!!!

T-NOO!

Once more, Luna kicked out in time. Angelina got back to her feet, and pulled the champion up with her by the arm. She fired a chop across her chest that stunned Luna before three more landed that sent her against the ropes. She got whipped across a second time, and rebounded into a sling blade clothesline from the challenger.

Claire: The Shaolin Belle is all over the triplet like a rash!! If Cortex doesn’t come up with an answer soon, this match is only going to end one way.

Angelina started to pull her up by the arm, and began to fire kicks into her body till Luna dropped to her knees again. The Nova Champion leaned forward holding her ribs as the challenger took off for the far size, looking for a running knee trembler to the head. But Luna ducked out of the way. Fantastica brought her foot down to regain her balance, which gave Luna the opening she needed to pop up behind her and grab her arms into a full nelson facebuster. The champion rolled away, and sat up to get herself together as she glared over to the downed Angelina.

Zack: Angelina had a real rally going there, but Luna avoided the contact on that last shot and made her pay. Like I said earlier, I don’t think she was expecting this.

Claire: It certainly wouldn’t have been the way she planned for this match to go but Luna’s got her foot in the door and it’s now up to her to see if she can take control.

The Nova Champion got back to her feet with a severe look on her face before she grabbed the top rope and started stomping the back of Angelina’s head repeatedly. She pulled her up to her knees, and choked her across the middle rope until Stringer got to a four count. Then Cortez backed off with her hands up before darting into a baseball slide under the bottom rope, giving the challenger a palm thrust into her throat to send her back onto the mat. She climbed back into the ring after that, and dropped a knee into the back of her head.

Zack: Luna’s delivering some heavy artillery here, and I suspect she’s looking to punish Angelina after the way things started in this match.

Claire: Not a bad plan from Luna here. If she can disorientate her opponent or get her seeing double it’s going to make it an awful lot tougher for the challenger to use her favourite offensive weapons.

Luna started talking to her now, mocking her about telling her how she was going to take her title tonight earlier in the match. Then she sat on her lower back, pulled her head up with one, and started firing forearms across her face with the other arm.Angelina had her face spiked into the mat a few times as well before Luna dragged her to her feet. She lifted her up into a stalling brainbuster, holding her there for several seconds before drilling her into the canvas and making the cover.

Zack: Luna’s ready to put another title defense in the can!

ONE!!!

TWOOO!!

Angelina got her shoulder up after the two hit the mat, and Luna used her forearm to grind against the New Yorker’s face briefly before getting back to her feet. She pulled Angelina up with her into a double knee backbreaker followed by a crossface submission.

Claire: The Nova Champion is doing an excellent job here of wearing down Fantastica, using her strength and technical prowess to excellent effect here. Angelina’s going to have to find a way to turn the tide and she’ll need to do it soon.

Stringer dropped down beside Angelina to see if she wanted to stop the match, but got no such sign. Luna had her hands locked under Fantastica’s chin, and was pulling back more and more to the point she was starting to push up on her feet in the process. The pressure was immense on Angelina, causing her face to darken to a redder color.

Zack: Notice how everything is directed towards the challenger’s head and neck. She’d love to make Angelina tap out, but I’m not sure the challenger would want to give her the satisfaction.

Claire: After everything that Fantastica has gone through to get to this point? No. There’s no way that’s she’s going to tap out - her body will have to give out before her fighting spirit breaks.

Angelina gritted her teeth and used her hands to try to pry apart Luna’s grasp under her chin. But the champion’s fingers were practically sewn together, and she couldn’t get a good enough grip to pry them apart. Then she started reaching out for the ropes, only for Luna to put her foot against the bottom rope to push it away at the same time. Stringer checked again, still getting a defiant “No!” from the challenger.

Claire: Luna’s using the rope for added leverage. The referee should really be telling her to break the hold but it shows how close they are. Angelina just needs one effort to reach out and get there herself.

Zack: You’re not wrong. Luna’s teasing and tormenting her showing her how close she is to getting the break….and preventing her from doing it at the same time.

Luna resumed talking smack to her as she cranked back on the hold, asking her once again if she was sure about taking the title tonight. That seemed to inspire Angelina though as she reached out as far as she could and barely managed to get the tip of her middle finger on the bottom rope. The referee immediately called for the break, and Luna held on till after the four count. Luna rolled away with a smirk on her face, looking over to her manager as Christian praised her and encouraged her to stay on the attack. Cortez did just that, and plucked Angelina’s head between her legs for what looked to be a piledriver. But as she got her upside down, Angelina began using her leg to blast Luna in the face repeatedly. It caused her to lose her grip, and Fantastica managed to land on her feet. Cortez got her bearings and came forward into a single knee facebreaker that floored her. It also allowed Angelina a chance to get herself together.

Zack: That was a fantastic counter out of the piledriver for Angelina! She batted Luna’s face with her thigh, and now she’s free and better think quick.

Claire: Cortez won’t be down for long. It’s a race as to whether Luna can get to her feet first or Angelina with this sold out crowd behind her can clear the cobwebs because the moment she does this match will take on a different complexion.

The Boston crowd was encouraging her as she got back to her feet. When she spotted Luna starting to do the same, that’s when the kicks came into play. A volley of kicks to Luna’s body landed, each one stumbling her backwards before Angelina fired her across to the far side. Luna rebounded into a roundhouse kick that sent her into the ropes followed by a bicycle kick that caught her flush….and sent her through the ropes to the floor. Fantastica tried to grab her before she fell through, but wasn’t quick enough.

Zack: Those feet of the challenger are lethal! I think she was trying to stop Luna from going out so she could make a cover. So much for that!

Claire: That might just have saved the Nova Championship for Luna. A little bit of good fortune to fall to the outside and Fantastica’s got the challenge of getting her back into the ring.

The challenger hit the mat with her fist in frustration as Christian headed for Luna at ringside. Kneeling down beside her, he shared a few words in her ear as she was starting to get up. She nodded her head at whatever he told her, and started to move around the ring slowly. Stringer was up to a four count now, and Angelina rolled out to go after her. When Cortez spotted her, she darted around the corner with Fantastica hot on her heels. The champion rolled back into the ring at the count of eight, and went to stomp Angelina’s head as she followed her in. But the challenger ducked back out, letting Luna stomp the mat before she swept her leg out from under her. Fantastica slid back into the ring as the ten count was about to be made, and dove on top of Luna for a flurry of mounted punches.

Zack: I think Luna was trying to get Angelina counted out, and it damn near worked too with Cortez making her chase her.

Claire: Nice try but possibly not when you’re facing a woman as quick on her feet as Angelina.

The champion managed to shake Angelina off, and tried to get back to her feet. But Fantastica was right behind her, spinning her around before she could get far and nailing her with a jumping knee strike to the face. She landed her jumping neckbreaker after that, and immediately went for the cover!

Zack: PROTECT YA NECK right on the button, and Angelina could be the new Nova Champion in three!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THRE-NOPE!!

Claire: Two and seven eighths!!! Just a hair away from a new Champion; from history being made on Episode 100!!

Luna got her shoulder up in time, and the challenger quickly got back to her feet. Cortez was up to her knees a second later before a running knee spun her around to hang over the middle rope. That’s when Angelina took off for the far side, and came back with her tiger feint kick that sent the champion sprawling to the mat.

Zack: 718!! Luna’s out cold, new champion!!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Luna slid her leg under the bottom rope, causing Stringer to stop the count. The referee had to point it out to her when Angelina looked at her with disbelief. When she spotted it, the New Yorker muttered something to herself, and pulled herself to her feet with the help of the ropes. She shouted at Luna to get up!

Claire: More good fortune for Luna because I honestly don’t think she had any clue at all that she was that close to the ring ropes when she kicked her leg out!

Luna started to grant her wish just as Angelina went for a somersault. But the champion ducked behind her, causing her to land awkwardly on her feet before Luna scooped her up into her double chickenwing facebuster! Angelina’s body bounced off the mat before Cortez rolled her over for the cover!

Zack: She was wise to what Angelina was planning, and there’s the LUNA ECLIPSE!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

The referee called for the bell a second before Luna rolled away. She crouched near the ropes to catch her breath before finally rising to her feet. Stringer raised her hand to a chorus of boos from the fans in Boston.

Claire: Fantastica thought that she had this one won but Luna showed that she only needed a moment to make the difference and pick up the win tonight!

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall…...AND STIIIIIILLL FFW Future Shock Nova Champion…...LUNA CORTEZ!!!

Christian entered the ring next, carrying the Nova Championship with him. As soon as he was inside the ropes, he handed it back to Luna who had a grin on her face as she held it up for the booing fans to see.

Zack: I’ll admit when I’m wrong! I thought Angelina’s night, but Luna, as she tends to do, spoiled those plans entirely! And she’s leaving Boston with her Nova Championship still intact.

Claire: This might well have been her biggest challenge. Angelina’s been on the roll of a lifetime and looked like it was going to continue tonight. Until Luna stopped her in her tracks, showing all the qualities that have seen her be the Nova Champion since last November!

Her manager congratulated her, to which she smiled and nodded to all the praise he was giving her. The pair exited the ring, and he raised her hand again as they began to head up the ramp.

Zack: Angelina had a fine plan tonight, and it looked like she was seconds away more than once from making history as a double champion. But Luna….she found a way once again to keep that Nova Championship in her possession.

Claire: Angelina will be disappointed that she didn’t make history tonight but I’m sure she’ll come back even more determined and even more dangerous. Luna though...yeah, she found a way...and you have to give her credit for that; it’s what the better champions too - they find a way to win.

The pair headed towards the back amid the boos, and the show then went to a commercial for the pool party on the next episode.

The Final Boss

When Future Shock returns from a commercial for the pool party in 2 weeks, we find Kyle Kilmeade standing in the ring along with Shaughnessy O’Neill. The manager rubs his jaw for a second, still feeling the effects of DOC punching him in the mouth earlier in the show. He quickly begins to address the crowd.

Kyle: For about a month now, there’s been all this talk about someone that Adam has referred to as the “Final Boss” coming to Future Shock. But unlike other arrivals, there has been no vignettes or anything of that sort to even give us a clue as to who he was talking about. All I know is he said this woman would be here tonight. And I gotta tell you when you have the longest reigning FFW Champion of all time recently acquired on the Future Shock roster...I’m not sure who else he could have brought that’s bigger than that. But I know Shaw and I both are incredibly curious to find out.

Shaw: The longest reigning FFW Champion of all time. The Longest reigning Unity Tag Team Champion of all time. A winner of a Future Shock Tag Team Series back before the reboot. One of the most consistent - and consistently excellent - wrestlers to have ever graced an FFW ring. A proud Quebecois. A natural born winner. None of this is me bragging, by the way. These are just facts. It’s just the truth and the evidence is available on FFW All Access. It wasn’t hyperbole to call me a conqueror or liken me to Alexander the Great. Not in the slightest. And yet, everyone wants to talk about the “Final Boss”. Naturally, it piqued my interest and I’m just as eager as all of you to find out if Adam has pulled a rabbit out of the hat tonight and found someone to live up to that billing.

Kyle: So what are we waiting for? Adam...or whoever, come on down.

Zack: Do you get the sense at all that at least Kyle is either annoyed or worried about whoever this Final Boss is?

Claire: I think it’s more annoyance. After all, he’s never anything less than 100% behind his client and arguably, there’s no-one he should have more belief or confidence in than the One Woman Show.

As the pair waits in the ring, it’s only a couple seconds before Adam emerges on the stage to a pop from the crowd. He already has a microphone in his hand.

Adam: I’ll get to you both in just a minute, alright?

He turns his attention to the crowd.

Adam: BOSTON!

That gets a pop.

Adam: I want to thank all of you for being here tonight, all of you watching at home as well. Tonight we’ve reached a milestone few ever accomplish. And we would not have gotten here without those girls in the back, our staff, and most of all….each and everyone of you! Especially the city of Boston, which has been and will continue to be the home of Future Shock.

Zack: He’s absolutely right about that. This city has been a tremendous partner for us, and there’s never anything wrong with giving credit where it’s due.

Claire: That’s true and these fans have always embraced us warmly and turned out in force, even in the midst of blizzards. It’s absolutely true to say that without them, we wouldn’t have made it to 100 shows. Also, do you think he might be trying to irritate Kyle and Shaw just a little bit by making them wait?

Zack: Well he doesn’t like Kyle, not sure about Shaw though.

Kyle: Yeah yeah yea. Boston is great. 100 episodes is great. Now would you like to get to the point before we get to 200 episodes?

Adam started to grin now.

Adam: Anxious? I know you and Shaw and the fans have been eager to find out who it is. And I got to tell you, it’s been blown way out of proportion. At first when I saw the response, I was glad so many were curious. But then I started seeing the tweets and hearing the comments on After Shock….and yeah, it’s gotten bigger than it was meant to. That’s why you haven’t seen a lot of video packages or anything, because who it is….she doesn’t need them really. And she didn’t want them.

Zack: I’m not sure if those are clues he just shared with us. But now I’m even more curious.

Claire: Maybe so. Intentional or not, Adam has certainly thrown a cat amongst the pigeons here and I’m sure he’s loving all the publicity that he’s gotten as a result.

Kyle: Can we get to the point? Who is this woman you’ve called the “Final Boss” anyway?

Adam: I should probably start with telling you the reason she has that name. I call her that. I’ve called her that for several years as a nickname. It’s something no one else really does, and it’s not because I’m about to unveil Isis 2.0 or anything like that. I call this woman the Final Boss….because that’s what she is. At the Future Shock Center in Los Angeles, the woman about to step out is a woman I call the “Final Boss” because she is the last person potential trainees have to get past in order for her to give them her approval to move up to the Future Shock roster.

Zack: I think I know who it is….

The crowd began buzzing now.

Adam: Just like Shaw, she too has been the FFW Champion. Just like Shaw, she too has been a Unity Champion. And just like Shaw, she came to Future Shock because she wanted to be part of all this as more than a “final boss,” Kyle. The “Final Boss” of the Future Shock Center and the ultimate decider of who makes it here and who doesn’t…..

The lights in the arena give way to a familiar purple strobe lighting, floating around the stage as keyboard, followed shortly by the floaty vocals of a female. As Beyond the Burning Skies kicks into full gear, the crowd cheers as Valerie McFarlane bursts from the back.

Adam: VALERIE McFARLANE!!

Claire: Well… One of the most decorated, most experienced women in wrestling. A woman who has done everything, seen everything and accomplished damn near everything has come to Future Shock. And listen to the reception she’s getting from this crowd!!!

Adam shook Valerie’s hand as she beamed ear to ear listening to the crowd’s response to her arrival.

Adam: And on the first show after the pool party, she’s going to make her Future Shock in-ring debut when she faces Shaw in the main event!

Zack: Well now, that’s a helluva main event right there! Valerie certainly is the final boss before the girls in LA get to be on this show, and it looks like this roster is about to get a whole new test from her now that they are here!

Claire: And Shaw’s going to the first one to face the test; the first to step up to the plate and take on Valerie McFarlane. It’s a Hall of Fame matchup that could grace the main event anywhere in the world in any company in the world!! And it’s coming to Future Shock!!!

Valerie: Thank you for that, Adam. And Boston!

Pop!

Valerie: Thank you for that welcome. I mean that. I appreciate it. It’s nice to know that you guys still feel about me as I have always felt about you. I am sorry to say that I’m not the great world-beater you expected - though I’ve had my share of those experiences. Beating Shaughnessey and Charlotte at the height of their notoriety being one example. Admittedly not for the belts, but it’s something. Adam has covered the bases of why I’ve got that name quite well though. My position with the Los Angeles Centre has been ongoing for several years, before the reboot even, but more so in the last couple of years. We work closely, discussing how well each woman is doing and how long we think it’ll be before they’re ready. Every woman goes through their journey differently though. Anyway...Shaw. I know I’m not who you hoped for or maybe even expected, and that’s okay. I’ll let you stew on it for a couple of weeks before our match. I’m sure Kyle will be most gracious in assisting you with that stewing, too. No one has your back more than he does. Except yourself. No one has your back like you do, and that’s probably for the best.

Shaw: Well, he wouldn’t be much of a manager if he didn’t have my back would he? And yep. You’re damn right that I’ve always - ALWAYS - looked out for number one. I’ve never made any bones about it, I’ve never hidden it.  One Woman Show for a reason, right?

She shrugged her shoulders.

Shaw: As for not being who I expected...well, you’re still a former FFW Champion, a former Unity Champion and an FFW Hall of Famer. Plus, like you said you and Erica did pick up a win over my team while we were the Unity Champion - giving us our first loss...even if it was only Charlotte you pinned. Rest assured, Val, whilst you might not be who I was expecting, I’ll still approach our match in a few weeks like I do every match that I’ve ever had inside a wrestling ring. I promise you’ll get the best, most consistent, most successful wrestler in FFW history. You might be the Final Boss...but I’m still the One Woman Show.

As the brunette finished her thought, the crowd began a chant for Valerie once again before the show cut to a commercial break.

The bell sounds as the show comes back from the break, and Lexi begins to speak almost immediately.

Zack: That was the last commercial break, and we’re gonna finish the show off with the biggest prize in all of Future Shock on the line.  We’re about to see two women who don’t skip days at the gym, so I have a feeling this will be one of the most hard-hitting Future Shock Championship matches we’ve seen.

Claire: You’re absolutely right Zack. We’ve got two girls who put in the hard work behind the scenes, pushing themselves in training, trying to wring out every gain they possibly can and tonight they get their reward. Tonight they headline one of the biggest shows in Future Shock history with the most prestigious prize in Future Shock on the line.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the FFW Future Shock Championship!

Zack: That was our last commercial break for tonight, fans. And we’re about to see two legit heavy hitters tee off for Future Shock’s richest prize. This one’s a pick’em!

Claire: Deja-vu...must be a glitch in the matrix. Anyhow, it’s one of Future Shock’s titans against someone who has shot up the singles ranking of later - and deservedly so. This is a contest between two determined, motivated and driven individuals and could well be a Match of the Year.

As the intro to ‘Don’t Know How To Stop’ start to play around the arena, the sound of engine revving can be made out over the top of it. It gets louder and louder until the sound of tyres screeching is heard just as the lyrics begin.

Head lights, red lights, got it in my sights
Nothings in my way, No sound, hush now
Push the pedal down, got no time to waste
It's a long way home, You just crossed a borderline
When I say go, You know you better hold on tight

Alessandra appears through the curtain wearing a pair of black leather look tights with silver studs around the waistband, and matching bralet with the same silver studs around it. She looks out across the crowd with a smirk before taking off at a run towards the ring.

I don't know how to stop, I give it all I've got
It's like my brakes are shot, I gotta have too much
I don't know how to stop, Gets crazy but so what
You know it's what you want so give it up
And Don't be scared of how good it feels

As she reaches the ring, she jumps up onto the apron and stands facing the stage, reaching back to hold onto the top rope with both hands. She leans forwards and scans the crowd on either side, then kicks her legs up to almost backflip over the top rope, landing on one knee in the ring with her head lowered.

Lexi: Introducing at this time, from Naples, Italy………………………..ALESSANDRA ESPOSITO!

One speed, full speed that is all I need
They can eat my dust, hell yeah, rock on
Will you come along, Do I have your trust?
It's a long way down, If you're getting this high
When I say now, you had better hold on tight
Now!

As the word Now! is said in the lyrics, Alessandra leaps up with her fist in the air and then lands on both feet. She heads to her corner to await the start of the match as her theme music fades out.
Zack: Winning Global Wars was a career highlight for Alessandra Esposito. She has proven she is just as effective on her own as she is in a tag team. But all of that is in the past, and now the biggest match of her career to this point is seconds from beginning.

Claire: As part of Target Acquired we all saw the talents and ability that Alessandra has and Global Wars just cemented that. Esposito might not have been as flashy or taken the headlines during the series that Cait Flanagan did, but she was the last standing and now has the opportunity to claim the most prestigious title in Future Shock.

I'm only human
I'm only—I'm only—
I'm only human, human

“Human” by Rag’n’Bone Man starts to play over the soundsystem as the video screen shows a jail cell door sliding backwards and a pair of black ring boots with legs going all the way up to a simple blue skirt step out onto the landing only to suddenly stumble as if given a push in the small of the back from the man who appeared behind her in shiny black shoes and black pants.

Maybe I'm foolish,
Maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this
And see what's behind
Got no way to prove it
So maybe I'm lying

As the pair pass by, the camera gets a shot from behind before it cuts to more grainy CCTV footage that shows the guard escorting the raven haired prisoner across a prison yard of patchy grass and into another building. There’s another cut as we see a shot of exposed midriff on the other side of a counter that has a pack of gum, some loose change on it and a hair bobble on it. A hand reaches forward, picking up a pen and signs a name quickly before scooping up the possessions as she stiffly pushed to move onwards.

But I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

There’s another cut; this time to show the back of the black haired woman as she reaches up to tie her long loose hair back with the bobble while still walking forward, coming to a stop in front of a large closed door. The camera cuts to the opposite side of the door and low door, watching as it swung open and the woman stepped out; only for the blazing sun to obscure her face and body; the video screens becoming a blazing yellow-white sun glare with a spotlight shining bright as the same woman has appeared at the top of the entrance ramp. The spotlight dims to reveal Mara Werth standing there in her black boots, blue skirt and white vest top.

Take a look in the mirror
And what do you see?
Do you see it clearer
Or are you deceived
In what you believe?

Lexi: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome from Tuscaloosa, Alabama… She is the reigning and defending FFW Future Shock Champion…..MARA WERTH!!!

'Cause I'm only human after all,
You're only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

With a smile on her face she begins to head down the ramp to the ring, running up the ring steps. She moved down the apron, facing out to the crowd and threw her arms up into the air before she stepped through the ropes. Heading to the corner, the girl carefully stepped up onto the middle ropes, throwing her hands up into the air again before she bounced back onto her feet and stretched as she waited for the match to start.

Zack: The reigning Future Shock Champion twice over is a woman who is constantly adding to her arsenal and experimenting in matches. And obviously, it’s worked out well for her more times than not. I don’t think tonight is a good night to be trying anything but what she knows works.

Claire:  You have to applaud Mara for constantly looking to improve herself in the ring and make herself more and more of a threat, but we’ve seen that work against her too. She takes risks and tonight, there’s a really good chance that tonight will end in heartbreak for her and she’ll find herself leaving the building empty handed.

Referee Kevin Fisk takes the title from Mara to hold it over his head to show it’s on the line after checking both women for hidden objects. Lexi takes the title with her, and he calls for the bell. Both women take a moment to take it all in as they hear the dueling crowd chants for each of them. When they meet in the center, they shake hands and wish one another good luck before they locked up in the center of the ring. At first, Mara pushes Alessandra back until the Italian beauty dips down and starts pushing her backwards instead. They trade like this until finally Mara gets the challenger into the ropes. Before she can do anything else though, Alessandra rolls her against the ropes and another switch with the challenger against the turnbuckle before the referee calls for the break. Mara backs up to the center of the ring as Alessandra nods her head.

Zack: That might be the longest and most active collar and elbow tie-up I’ve seen. Both women are feeling each other out to see who the stronger one is, and I don’t think we have a clear winner yet.

Claire: They’re certainly testing each other, seeing how far they can push each other but they’ve arrived at a stalemate - at least for now. We’ll see which one - if either of them - change strategy or if they both believe this is where they can get a decisive upper hand early on.

The pair meet in the center again, and Alessandra raises one hand to challenge Mara to a test of strength. The Future Shock Champion shows no problem with that as she reaches up to grab her hand and then the other hand before the battle begins. Both of them try to bring the other down, but they end up trading back and forth for a few seconds. Werth breaks it up with a leg trip to take Alessandra down to the mat, but the challenger bridges up with her neck, still clutching Mara’s. And with an amazing bridge, she then drops back to the mat for a monkey flip that sends Mara on the mat with Alessandra rolling to the mount position on her chest, pinning her hands to the mat before the referee makes a count!

Zack: LOOK AT THAT!! I’ve never seen that in my life!!

ONE!

T-NOO!!

Mara’s shoulder comes off the mat to stop the count, only for Esposito to try to put her shoulder back down. It doesn’t work though as Werth gets her legs up and flips her opponent backwards with a sunset flip followed by another count from the referee!

Claire: That was a nice little throw and flip from Alessandra but Mara here says anything you can do, I can do better. But this is way too early to put away a competitor like Esposito.

ONE!!!

TW-NOOOO!!

Alessandra kicked out by clapping her legs around Mara’s head, which dazed her for a second. That allowed the challenger to get to her feet, and meet Mara as she was trying to do the same with a flurry of forearms to the side of her head. It wasn’t long before Werth was firing back with forearms of her own as the two traded to a roar from the crowd.

Zack: Look at those wild forearms! I don’t know who’s stronger, but they both want it as much as the other, that’s for damn sure!

The forearms were trading quickly, and Alesandra broke up the brawl by catching Mara with a short knee to the body. A kneelift to the face stood Werth up again, and Esposito whipped her across to the far corner. When the champion landed back first, Alessandra followed her at top speed, blasting Mara with a running European uppercut that snapped her head back. One more landed flush before the Global Wars winner lifted Mara over her head into a gorilla press slam to the canvas.

Zack: Look at the power display from Alessandra! Mara’s definitely not accustomed to being thrown around like that, is she?

Claire: It’s certainly a departure from facing the likes of Stacey Sky. But we’ve got to remember she’s been toe to toe with Gemma Pierce and the World Piercer was no slouch in the weight room either.

The challenger bolted for the far side, returning with a rolling senton to Mara’s body when she tried to sit up again. Werth finally made it back to her feet, but into the waiting clutches of Alessandra who put her down with her swinging snap neckbreaker before making the cover with an outside leg hook.

Zack: Alessandra has declared OPEN SEASON on the Future Shock Champion!

ONE!!

TWOOO!!

Mara kicked out after the two, and was pulled back to her feet by the challenger. A flurry of forearms landed against the champion’s head before Alessandra whipped her across to the far side. Mara rebounded and ducked a clothesline. When the challenger turned, Werth was already rebounding again with a spinning backfist that floored the Italian!

Claire: Just like that this seesaw match swings back the other way and the Champion has a chance to take the initiative. Though, I’m not sure how long it’s going to last, I get the feeling this will be back and forth right up until one of them is forced into making an error.

The champion took a couple seconds to get herself together before using a catapult to send the challenger chest first into the top turnbuckle behind her. It knocked the wind out of Alessandra, and gave Mara the opening she needed before connecting with a bicycle knee to the back of her head before she could turn. Werth spun her around, and delivered a fisherman’s hook suplex with a bridge for the cover!

Claire: Mara’s not taking any prisoners tonight! The way she’s laying in those shots tells me that she knows just how big this challenge is for her and doesn’t want to give Alessandra a sniff an opening.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NO!

Esposito kicked out a half second after the two count, and rolled away. But the champion wouldn’t let her get far. As soon as she made it to the ropes to help her up, Mara returned the favor from earlier with a running kneelift to the face that nearly sent the challenger back to the mat. But Werth planted her head, and drove her into the corner with a turnbuckle powerbomb.

Zack: This has turned into a striker shootout, and right now it’s the Future Shock Champion with more ammo in her guns.

The champion pulled her by her head, and lifted her into a bearhug. But she didn’t hold her there, instead she charged for the next corner and drove Alessandra back first into the turnbuckles. She repeated it on all four corners of the ring before shoving her into the ropes. Alessandra stumbled forward off them into a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker that put her down on the mat again. Werth stepped over her back, and applied a camel clutch.

Zack: Mara’s getting herself a chance to get a second wind, because her and Alessandra have been hitting with everything they’ve got so far in this match.

Claire: We’ve seen Alessandra take one hell of a beating before and come through it. But this is smart by Mara. Putting pressure on her lower back will take away some of her offence whilst giving the Champion an opportunity to plan out her next couple of moves.

Fisk knelt in front of the challenger to ask for the submission, but Alessandra wasn’t interested in that at all. Mara showed no easing of the pressure either, instead she pulled back on her head to increase the pain. Fisk checked again, still getting a no from the #1 contender. The challenger tried to pull Mara’s fingers apart to break the hold, but her grip was too tight. Mara’s fingers were even whiter than normal, showing how tightly she was applying the move.

Zack: Mara’s got a death grip on this camel clutch, Claire. Her fingers are almost translucent with how hard she is pulling back on the challenger’s neck.

Claire: You’ve go to hand it to her, she is absolutely hellbent on extracting the maximum from this hold, even if it doesn’t get her the victory.

Fisk checked once more, still getting a no as Alessandra gritted her teeth and started to push up on her hands and knees. Werth’s eyes widened as Alessandra was actually getting back to her feet with Mara on her back. The fans looked on in awe as the challenger was now vertical, and reached for Mara’s head to deliver a backpack stunner that sent them both to the mat. Mara’s body bounced off the impact, and Alessandra sat up with one hand on the back of her neck.

Zack: Wow! Alessandra with an adrenaline rush that allowed her to actually overpower the Future Shock Champion! That was fantastic, but you can see the effect it had though.

Claire: Esposito’s hurting but more importantly she found a way out of the hold and lives on to continue the fight. We know that she can fight through the pain so this is might end up being a huge opportunity for her right here.

The challenger finally got back to her feet, and glanced over to see Mara beginning to sit up now. She grabbed her feet under both arms, and glanced to the fans before the challenger began a giant swing in the center of the ring. It was a crowd favorite too as they began counting the revolutions as Esposito spun Mara around and around.

Zack: We’ve seen her do this before, Claire! Mara’s stuck in the SPIN CYCLE, and there’s no telling when this ride will come to an end!

Fans; NINE…….TEN………….ELEVEN……..TWELVE…….THIRTEEN……

Claire: Into double figures with no end in sight. We might need to start putting sick bags at ringside! I swear Mara is starting to turn a little green right now!

Fans: FIFTEEN….SIXTEEN…...SEVENTEEN…….EIGHTEEN…….NINETEEN….

Zack: How long can she keep it up? This is astounding!

Fans: TWENTY-ONE…...TWENTY-TWO…….TWENTY-THREE…...TWENTY-FOUR…..

And on the 25th, Alessandra let go and Mara crashed into the canvas like a meteor. The fans applauded the Italian as she stumbled back to sit on the middle rope to get her bearings again. Meanwhile, Mara was trying to grab the ropes even though she wasn’t anywhere close to them.

Claire: Alessandra can’t stand upright at the moment but she’s in much better shape than the Champion! The room is still spinning and I wouldn’t be surprised if she’s double or triple as everything whirls around in front of her!

Zack: Mara’s trying to get a hand on the ropes to help her up, but she’s nowhere close to them right now and she’s probably seeing 9 of them, like you said.

Alessandra was able to get her bearings quicker, and headed for Mara. The Future Shock Champion was trying to get her feet under her, and failing in the attempt due to how dizzy she was at the moment. But when she was in just the right spot, Alessandra grabbed her and delivered her inverted stomp facebreaker! The fans came to their feet as she went for the cover!

Zack: DEAD FALL!! AND WE GOT A NEW CHAMPION!!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! No.

Mara got her leg across the bottom rope, causing the referee to wave off the count. Alessandra looked up to Fisk, and then over to see her foot with a shake of her head.

Claire: Mara just won the lottery right there! After going for the spin, I still think she’s not got a clue where she is, let alone knew that she was gonna get her leg on the rope there!

Alessandra got back to her feet, and clutched her neck again as she did so. That was thanks to Mara’s earlier offense. She leaned against the corner, watching the Future Shock Champion as she was struggling to get back to her feet. She was still a little bit dizzy, but not as much now. Esposito went after her, grabbing her head for what looked like a vertical suplex, but Werth crumpled down to her knees. The challenger leaned down to grab her when Mara pulled her into a small package out of nowhere!

Claire: Mara’s looking to pull a rabbit out of the hat and she might have Esposito caught!!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NOPE!!

Alessandra barely kicked out in time, and sat up to confirm with the referee it was just a two. She got back to her feet immediately after that, and went to grab the champion. But Mara surprised her with a palm thrust to the throat that sent her backwards. It bought the champion a few seconds to get her bearings, and Mara lunged at her with a big boot to the face.

Zack: Mara’s still got some gas left in her tank, not to mention a few tricks up her sleeve! They’re going for broke now!

The boot sent Alessandra backwards into the corner. When Mara came forward, she caught a boot of her own to the jaw from the challenger. It stumbled her backwards before Alessandra lunged forward with a scorpion kick. But Werth caught her legs, and stepped over her arms to deliver a Styles Clash faceplant. She rolled her over onto her back for the cover!

Zack: That’s a match ender right there!! Mara’s gonna retain the Future Shock Championship right now!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!! Nope.

Alessandra reached out and grabbed the bottom rope before the three came down, and Mara looked up at it. Just like Alessandra had looked earlier, Mara was in disbelief that the match wasn’t over yet.

Claire: Excellent ring awareness there from Alessandra! Even after getting planted into the mat she knew exactly where she was. And a small error from Mara - if she’d rolled the other way, this one was other...but that’s what happens when you get all disorientated and turned around.

The Future Shock Champion made it to her feet, and shook her head as she looked down at her opponent. Alessandra was trying to get her third or fourth wind at this point, and struggled to get to her feet. The champion backed up a couple steps and lunged forward quickly.

Zack: I think I know what she has in mind!!

Mara went for her shining knee strike, but the challenger ducked out of the way. When Werth spun around, Alessandra grabbed her hand and pulled her into a second inverted stomp facebreaker! Esposito launched across her for the cover!

Zack: That’s two DEAD FALLS!! That’s gotta be all!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Fisk called for the bell to a pop from the crowd at the effort of both women. Alessandra made it back to her feet, and got her hand raised officially.

Claire: It was dead centre of the ring this time and it looked to me like it came with just a little bit extra to it. The Global Wars Winner wanting to make absolutely sure there was no way on earth that Mara was getting out of it before the three this time.

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall…...AND NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWW FFW Future Shock Champion…...ALESSANDRA ESPOSITO!!!!

When Kevin handed Alessandra the Future Shock Championship, that’s when the tears started flowing from the Italian beauty’s face. Fireworks erupted around the arena, and Nadia rushed the ring to congratulate her best friend!

Zack: Alessandra worked her ass off! She won Global Wars when very few thought she could! And tonight, she achieved the biggest win of her career to become the new Future Shock Champion! Congratulations!!

Claire: Many considered her to be something of a dark horse but Alessandra grew with every match; she got better and the self belief grew with each match, with every victory. She had all the momentum in the world behind her and picks up the biggest win of her singles career!

Nadia hugged her friend before Alessandra helped Mara back to her feet. They raised each other’s hands before Mara stepped out to the floor. Alessandra looked at her reflection in the title before thrusting it into the air as Nadia applauded her.

Zack: Alessandra Esposito has made history, and is now the centerpiece of all things Future Shock! She earned it, and now she’s about to inherit a real rogues’ gallery of challengers!

Claire: A nice show of respect between the former Champion and the New Champion. Mara hit Alessandra with everything that she had but it just wasn’t to be. Now Esposito has a huge target on her back. Given tonight’s showing though, I think she could hold that title for a long time to come.

Zack: Fans, thank you for joining us for this landmark 100th episode of Future Shock! Laguna Beach...here we come!!

The new champion kissed her title before Nadia raised her hand in victory, also starting to tear up at Alessandra’s success before Future Shock faded off the air.
