Live from the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada
January 15, 2022

The exterior of FFW headquarters is shown at night as Savannah Star walks through the front doors into the lobby, giving a little wave to the receptionist as she passes her. As soon as the Siren is out of her sight, she pulls the fire alarm and causes sprinklers to go off as “One Woman Army” by Porcelain Black begins to play.

I'm on the battlefield
Like, oh my God (ooh la la)
Knocking soldiers down
Like house of cards (ooh la la)

In another part of the building as employees are evacuating due to the fire alarm, two women step off the elevator with grins on their face before it’s revealed to be Bianca Salvador and Mel Avilo. They head into a room and slam the door behind them before the power shuts off and emergency flood lights illuminate the hallways as they head back out.

Let's march tonight
The music is still playin'
So get and up fight
You know dat you want it
You know dat you would

The next shot shows the FFW Championship sitting inside an office, now bathed in lasers as part of an emergency theft system. Then all of a sudden, a woman descends from the ceiling in front of it. She’s hanging on a wire and has a mask over her face as she starts cutting the glass surrounding the title. Quickly as she does so, the lasers are deactivated and she lands on her feet. The mask comes off, and Missy is revealed to be the cat burglar.

I hit cha with dat kung-fu Jackie Chan
Boom, boom, boom, pow
I'm super fast
High heels, big deal
I'll kick your ass

She tosses the title over her shoulder before the lights come back up, and she finds herself surrounded by Harley Shannon, Cassandra Steen, Savannah Star, Tara Cortez, and Nevaeh Summers. Missy lays the title down on the table near her, and waves them forward. And as the group closes in on her, that’s when the show goes live inside the arena to a roaring crowd.

I'm on the battlefield
Like, oh my God (ooh la la)
Knocking soldiers down
Like house of cards (ooh la la)
I'm a one woman army (ooh la la)
Yes, I'm a one woman army
(ooh la la, ooh la la, ooh la la)

Fireworks explode from the stage and across the top of the arena while the fans make a thunderous amount of noise. The ring mat has the Breaking Point logo on it, which is shown before the shot changes to the broadcast booth with Zack and Lexi.

Zack: Happy New Year, fans! And welcome to the start of 2022 in FFW! You’re watching Breaking Point, and we are live in the Great White North, particularly the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec Canada. And I have a new broadcast partner, who you know as the Future Shock ring announcer Lexi Carmicheal.

Lexi: It’s great to be here, and to have the opportunity to see all of the action as it unfolds from the best seats in the house.

Zack: We have a stacked show on tap tonight, including a first ever one on one meeting in the main event of two former Future Shock Champions. “Sensational” Stacey Sky will take on Harley Shannon in what could be chapter two of the six woman tag they were part of at Crossed Out.

Lexi: Harley Shannon is a former Phoenix Champion and that’s something we all know that Stacey wishes she could be, so it’ll be interesting to see what happens when they meet one on one.

Zack: We’ll also see Alesssandra Esposito of Target Acquired meet Mel Avilo. You got two women who have power for days ready to meet up, and I suspect that’s gonna be a bruiser of a match.

Lexi: They both hit like freight trains by all accounts, I’m extremely pleased not to have that knowledge firsthand, and I’ll be just as happy to keep it that way.

Zack: We’ll also see Jo McFarlane meet Claire Black for the first time. After reasserting herself as a singles star when she upended the former Evolution Champion at Sin & Sacrifice, Claire looks to notch a Hall of Famer to her record. But we know wins over Jo never come easy.

Lexi: Jo is one of the most accomplished women in FFW, and there’s no denying that a win over her will only do wonders for Claire’s solo career aspirations.

Zack: The new FFW Champion is in the house, and you’ll get to hear from Kelly Kincaid about her career-defining win at Crossed Out. I’m curious to hear how she feels about being the one with the bullseye on her back now.

Lexi: I’m going to go ahead and put money on her being more than game for the challenges that come along with being FFW Champion.

Zack: We’ll also hear from the first ever Pure Champion. We’re right here in Shaw’s backyard, and she now has domain over both the FFW and Future Shock rosters with that title. I expect she’ll get one hell of a reception tonight in Montreal.

Lexi: Shaw is another one that’s going to have a massive target on her back, even more so than most other Champions since women from both rosters will be looking to take what she has.

Zack: Let’s kick off the new year in FFW with some action, and send it up to our Aussie ring announcer. Take it away, Kat.

The shot changes from the announce desk to the ring with Kat wearing an appropriately colored dress for the location before she begins the introductions.

Kat: The opening contest of Breaking Point is scheduled for one fall to a finish!

“Something New” starts up over the speakers, and the jeers have almost drowned out the music before Mel Avilo has even arrived (though in fairness, the beginning is pretty quiet). Yellow, green and blue spotlights dance around the arena, while the tron shows images of the Brazilian wrestler in action. Suddenly, the music stops and the tron cuts out...only for the sound of crashing thunder to echo loudly through the arena.

Love to hate,
Repeating my mistakes.
But there’s no one left to listen,
No one left to listen.
Take a chance, and fuck the consequence
When there’s no one left to listen,
No one left to listen.

As a curtain of dry ice smoke fills up the entrance stage, Mel Avilo walks up to the top of the ramp, with her manager Kyle Kilmeade right behind her. Once there, she looks over the jeering crowd with a big smirk on her face, then does a quick twirl on the stage, finishing in a low-dipped bow. Mel then swings an arm, and green, white and yellow pyro goes off around her. Then, side by side with Kyle, she walks down the entrance ramp, with their Kyle giving her a lonely round of applause.

Right now! We’re taking control!
Tired of waiting
Tired of waiting for something new!
Right now! We’re taking control!
Tired of waiting
Tired of waiting for something new!

Kat: Introducing first…from Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, by way of Craigleith, accompanied by Kyle Kilmeade...MEL AVILO!

Instead of going straight to the ring though, Mel walks up to a camera, getting right up to the lens with her mischievous smirk. Mel’s smirk becomes a grin as she gives the camera, and the viewers at home, some choice words about their opponents. After that, she rolls into the ring and moves to the turnbuckles in her corner, climbing onto the second rope and staring into the booing crowd, only to wave them off and regroup with Kyle in her corner. The music fades out with Mel sat on the middle turnbuckle, the pair strategising between themselves.

Zack: What a way to kick off 2022 in FFW with two of our strongest women about to tee off here in Montreal. Mel and Alessandra are in classes all their own, and we’re going to be seeing a lot of Kilmeade tonight.

Lexi: Just what everyone wants to start off the new year, right? A triple dose of Kyle Kilmeade. Mel will be hoping to start the new year on the right foot no doubt, it’s no secret I don’t think that she’s keen on getting her hands back on the Evolution Championship at some point.

As the intro to ‘Don’t Know How To Stop’ start to play around the arena, the sound of engine revving can be made out over the top of it. It gets louder and louder until the sound of tyres screeching is heard just as the lyrics begin.

Head lights, red lights, got it in my sights
Nothings in my way, No sound, hush now
Push the pedal down, got no time to waste
It's a long way home, You just crossed a borderline
When I say go, You know you better hold on tight

Alessandra appears through the curtain wearing a pair of black leather look tights with silver studs around the waistband, and matching bralet with the same silver studs around it. She looks out across the crowd with a smirk before taking off at a run towards the ring.

I don't know how to stop, I give it all I've got
It's like my brakes are shot, I gotta have too much
I don't know how to stop, Gets crazy but so what
You know it's what you want so give it up
And Don't be scared of how good it feels

As she reaches the ring, she jumps up onto the apron and stands facing the stage, reaching back to hold onto the top rope with both hands. She leans forwards and scans the crowd on either side, then kicks her legs up to almost backflip over the top rope, landing on one knee in the ring with her head lowered.

Kat: Introducing at this time, from Naples, Italy………………………..ALESSANDRA ESPOSITO!

One speed, full speed that is all I need
They can eat my dust, hell yeah, rock on
Will you come along, Do I have your trust?
It's a long way down, If you're getting this high
When I say now, you had better hold on tight
Now!

As the word Now! is said in the lyrics, Alessandra leaps up with her fist in the air and then lands on both feet. She heads to her corner to await the start of the match as her theme music fades out.

Zack: As far as I’m concerned, Alessandra is gonna be a 2x Future Shock Champion when she gets her shot at the title. But tonight, she gets to test herself against a former Evolution Champion.

Lexi: Alessandra had a banner year in 2021, proving that she’s every bit the solo star that she is a tag team specialist.

Melinda Davis checked that both wrestlers were ready for the match as Kyle dropped off the apron and to the floor. Getting the okay from both women the official called for the bell to get the contest underway which saw both come out of their corners and start to circle each other before closing the gap and going into a lock up. Mel started to get the upper hand, using her strength to her advantage as she pushed Alessandra back half a step before the Italian dug in her heels and started to push back causing a stalemate between the pair which both saw them break the tie up. Avilo and her foe circled each other once more before the Brazilian Storm member stepped forwards yet again, looking to engage in another lock up only to feint out of it as she ghosted behind the Italian and applied a rear waistlock.

Zack: Given that she also came from the brand, do you think Mel wishes she had been a Future Shock Champion at this point?

Lexi: I think it would be a safe bet to assume that. After all, is there any Future Shock girl past or present that wouldn’t like to have that accolade on their resume?

Immediately the Franchise member went to lift Esposito off her feet and into a German suplex but the attempt was blocked before the Global Wars winner delivered a pair of matching chops to Mel’s wrists, loosening the hold enough for her to reverse into a rear waistlock of her own. Immediately Mel grabbed hold of the wrists of the Target Acquired member and began to pull them apart, getting enough room for her to spin out of the hold and into a forearm that only got air as Alessandra saw it coming and ducked beneath it before straightening back up to catch Avilo with a palm thrust to the jaw. A second and third palm strike followed to the body of the powerhouse Brazilian before Esposito left her feet and sent her opponent flying towards the corner with a monkey flip. Mel hit the mat and immediately sat up and went to get to her feet only for Alessandra to drive her backwards into the turnbuckle pads with a running shoulder thrust to her gut. Three more followed as the official called for the break and started the count before the Neapolitan wrestler stepped backwards and delivered a jumping knee strike into Mel’s chest. She then pulled the Brazilian out of the corner and straight into an Exploder suplex that hurled the powerhouse back towards the middle of the ring.

Zack: Look at that snap on that suplex! Alessandra has explosive power when she wants to use it, and that’s not something Mel experiences all that often. She’s usually the one dishing those out.

Lexi: I think out of everyone on the FFW roster, these two might just be about two of the most evenly matched in terms of strength. Not that they’re the only ones of course, there are more than a few hard hitters among the FFW girls.

Again Mel hit the mat and immediately sat up, not wasting any time at all before she came back to her feet and Esposito charged her once more, catching her with a running big boot to the face. It caused Avilo to turn away from her opponent; the Italian quickly grabbing hold of her and jerking her back down to the canvas with a side Russian legsweep, rolling through and coming back to her feet as she did so. As soon as she was upright, Alessndra took off towards the ropes and caught Mel as she came back to a vertical base with a clothesline that sent her back down to the mat. Yet again the Brazilian pushed quickly up from the mat to return to her feet where she caught a boot driven deep into her gut. It doubled the powerhouse over and a moment later, Esposito drilled her into the canvas with a snap DDT before rolling her onto her back and making the cover for the pinfall.

Zack: Major impact right to Mel’s dome, and there’s the cover!

One…

Two-

Lexi: You can’t blame Alessandra for taking the chance for a cover when it comes her way, but I think she’s going to have to do a lot more than that to keep Mel down for three count.

As the two made contact, Mel kicked out with authority, sending the Target Acquired member rolling away from her. Quickly the Italian came back to her feet and darted forwards to catch her foe with a running forearm to the jaw. A second and third forearm followed that before she stepped backwards and left her feet and caught Avilo with a dropkick to the chest that sent her down to the canvas yet again. The Brazilian Storm member rolled onto her front and pushed upwards, getting back to her feet just in time to catch a disaster kick to the jaw, sending her staggering backwards as Esposito launched herself off the middle rope. As the Franchise member began to find her balance, the Italian dropped back to the ropes, firing herself off them and yet again took Mel off her feet as she caught her with a sling blade clothesline. Again Mel was only down for a second before she started back to her feet, once more getting cut off before she could stand up straight and was yanked down into a single knee facebreaker. Again it saw the Brazilian step backwards, holding her face with one hand as she did so. Alessandra took full advantage, stepping forwards and grabbing hold of Avilo’s arm as she kicked her feet up and brought the powerhouse down to the mat and into a crucifix pinning combination.

Lexi: Alessandra really isn’t getting paid by the hour is she?

One…

Two…

…T-

Zack: Strong and agile as hell, Alessandra nearly scooped the win right there!

Mel again kicked out and this time used the momentum to her advantage as she rolled back to her knees where she forced herself to pop back up to her feet, stepping forwards and catching the Italian with a haymaker to the side of the jaw. It caused Esposito to take a step backwards, holding her jaw with one hand and allowed Avilo to lift her up into an inverted Atomic drop. The Naples born grappler stepped backwards gingerly which saw Mel pull her forwards, lifting her up and dropping her throat first over the top rope with a stun gun. The Target Acquired member gasped and choked for breath as she stepped backwards from the ropes only for her opponent to grab her by the hair and yank her backwards, off her feet and causing her to crash land on the mat on her back. As Alessandra tried to sit up, Mel started to drive stomps into her body in quick fire fashion, driving her back down to the mat as the referee told her to allow the Global Wars winner back to her feet and started the count. Mel milked the five for every second that she continued, continuing to stomp down as her foe tried to cover up before she finally took a step backwards, flirting with disqualification in the process.

Zack: Mel’s not going to get herself disqualified, no chance of that. She’s just getting all she can out of it.

Lexi: To be fair though, are there many who don’t push the referee’s count as much as they can, or dare to? It’s one of the oldest strategies in the book, and after two covers already from the Italian, Mel is maybe wanting a little bit of payback too.

Davis tried to tell her off and warned her to comply with the instructions quicker but Avilo wasn’t about to give her opponent any chance to  recover as she ignored the referee, stepping forwards once more to land two more stomps before she placed her foot across the Italian’s throat to choke her out. Esposito tried in vain to push the foot away as the referee again demanded the break, starting the count once more and again only got the break a heartbeat before she’d have been forced to complete the five count. This time Mel didn’t even bother to step back as she measured up Esposito and dropped an elbow into her chest, following it up by wrapping a hand around her foe’s throat to choke her out again. Once more the official was right on the scene and demanded the break from the Brazilian who forced her to start the count. Again the official came with milliseconds of completing the five before Mel released her grip and transitioned into a lateral press cover, telling Davis to count the three.

Lexi: Mel’s done a lot of work towards wearing Alessandra down, but as we’ve seen throughout her career, she’s quite a resilient wrestler.

One…

Two–

Zack: That’s not going to get the job done against Alessandra, but we know Mel likes to do as much damage as she can.

Alessandra kicked out as the two landed and Mel shook her head at the referee as she grabbed hold of a handful of her opponent’s hair and started to pull her to her feet where she drove a headbutt into her face. Esposito staggered backwards but didn’t get far before Mel yanked her forwards and lifted her up over her head into a Gorilla Press Slam position, stepping towards the ropes as she held her aloft and then dumped her to the outside, causing her to land hard on the floor.

Zack: This is something that I don’t think makes sense. She can’t pin Alessandra or make her submit on the floor.

Lexi: No, but I think we’re back again to doing as much damage as she can. Those kind of impacts are bound to take a toll on the body, no matter how strong or resilient you are.

Davis started to reprimand Mel for dumping her foe over the top rope to the floor, the powerhouse though was barely listening to the official as she showed off her muscles and Bianca and Kyle began to advance towards Alessandra as she was starting to get up, but before they could reach her, the official spun on her heel and spotted them, stopping them in their tracks as she told them to back up to Mel’s corner; the pair raising their hands with innocent expressions on their face as they did so. The referee told them to stay there and went to start the count on Alessandra only to find Mel had stepped out onto the apron and was measuring the rising Italian, skipping forwards and catching her with a kick to the face that snapped her head backwards as the Neapolitan got to her feet on the outside. The referee told her to bring it back into the ring as Mel turned on the apron to face Esposito on the floor and leapt off, crashing a double axe handle into the top of her skull to send her back down to her knees on the floor.

Zack: You can tell Mel’s having a good time at the expense of Alessandra tonight, but is she toying with her too much?

Lexi: I think she just might be. It’s not a tactic I’d want to try with Alessandra, I have a feeling that fiery Italian temper could make an appearance and then I think Mel would be in a world of trouble.

With a grin on her face Mel used a handful of hair to pull her opponent back to her feet, slamming her face first into the ring apron before rolling her into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Avilo used the ropes to pull herself up to the apron and headed towards the corner where she quickly climbed up to the top, launching herself off as the Italian made it to her feet and caught her with a flying shoulder tackle that took Alessandra straight back down to the canvas. Esposito rolled to the side and took a second before she began to push up to her feet to hold the small of her back for one hand while Mel waved her upwards. As the Target Acquired member made it to one knee her opponent looked over at the ropes and set off, bouncing off the ropes to send Esposito down to the mat with a Thesz press. Immediately the powerhouse began to hammer away with a series of forearms into her face that saw Alessandra cover up. While the official called for the break and started the count, Mel reared up and tried to break through her foe’s guard by slamming her forearms downwards but the Italian stayed firm.

Zack: Alessandra’s like a statue, and Mel’s just laying in those shots…and getting nothing out of it.

Lexi: That’s definitely one way to fend off an account like that, and I think the only thing Mel is actually accomplishing at the moment is to exert her own energy. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s exactly what Alessandra is hoping for.

Mel reared back looking to break through the guard once more but this time, Alessandra lashed out and caught her with a palm strike to the underside of her jaw. It rocked the Brazilian backwards; Avilo recovered and once more went to slam her forearms into her opponent’s guard only to lunge straight into a double palm strike to the chest coming the other way. It saw the Franchise member fall backwards to the mat, holding her chest and Esposito scrabbled forwards, grabbing the powerhouse’s legs as she did so and flipped forwards into a jackknife pinning position. Davis slid into position to make the count.

Zack: Where did that come from?! Look at that power!

One…

Two…

…T-

Lexi: I think that’s possibly the build up of that Italian temper I mentioned earlier. She really let rip then didn’t she?

Mel wrapped her arms around Alessandra’s body, gripping her wrists tightly as she did so and began to bridge upwards to break up the pin and only broke her grip when Esposito slapped at her forearms, allowing the pair to stand up straight. The Italian was the first to strike with a back roundhouse kick which caught Mel on the side of the head and caused her to stumble. As the Brazilian found her balance, the Target Acquired member caught her around the waist and lifted her upwards onto her shoulder before snapping her forwards and driving her down into the mat with an Alabama Slam which saw the head of the Franchise member bounce off the canvas. As Avilo held the back of her head, Alessandra stepped between her legs, grabbing her foe around her thighs as she did before she started to spin around into a Giant swing.

Zack: I’ve seen this before! Mel’s getting caught in the worst kind of spin cycle you can imagine!

Lexi: I’m starting to get dizzy just watching it, so hell only knows how Mel’s feeling actually caught up in it.

Esposito spun around and around, gathering speed as she revolved; the fans counting each revolution as she spun her opponent through the air. The fans counted ten but the Target Acquired member continued to spin, going through fifteen full revolutions and only letting go and sending Mel crashing back to the canvas as she completed the twentieth spin. Alessandra staggered a couple of steps, bringing one hand up to her head, taking a moment to clear the dizziness caused by the revolutions while Mel rolled to the ropes and after a false start at grabbing hold of them, began to use them to pull herself upright. As she got to her feet, she was met with a running European uppercut from the Global Wars winner. A second European uppercut and then a third followed that before she sent the Brazilian in for the ride, catching her on the return with a leg lariat that sent her opponent down to the canvas.

Zack: Mel was drunk on her feet there, and Alessandra introduced her to that leg lariat. She’s got them making noise here in the Bell Centre!

Lexi: Alessandra is making full use of Mel being off balance, and keeping her that way. Those uppercuts were teeth rattlers for sure.

Once more Alessandra saw her foe sit up immediately and begin to come back to her feet which caused the Italian to grab hold of her by the head and drive five knee strikes into her body before she wrenched Avilo’s arm up behind her back into a hammerlock then spiked her on top of her head with a hammerlock DDT. Quickly Esposito rolled her opponent onto her back and made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Lexi: Alessandra has not let up and she’s looking to call this a night now, and she just might possibly get her wish right here.

One…

Two…

…TH-

Zack: That’s as close as she’s come all night to putting Mel away! I think Avilo is in trouble.

Mel kicked out and rolled onto her front, holding her head as she did so before she slowly began to push upwards. She only made it as far as her all fours before she found herself driven face first into the mat with a leg drop to the back of her neck. Quickly Alessandra pulled her foe to her feet and straight into a hangman neckbreaker that saw the Brazilian slump to the side on the mat. Yet again Esposito didn’t give her any time to recover as she quickly pulled her up from the canvas, hooking her head as she did so and this time hoisted her straight up in a snap brainbuster, dropping her head first which saw the Brazilian Storm member drop onto her stomach. Quickly Alessandra floated over and locked in a cross-legged STF, wrenching back on the head and neck of the Brazilian. The referee dropped down to ask Mel if she wanted to quit, getting a strained ‘No’ in response.

Zack: Well executed STF from the former Future Shock Champion, but I can’t remember the last time Mel tapped out.

Lexi: Mel is about as strong as they come but that doesn’t mean she’ll be immune to submission moves like this. It doesn’t look like Mel is ready to tap out here though.

The Target Acquired member continued to pull back on her opponent’s head and neck, wrenching on it and applying as much pressure as she could. The official asked the question again as Mel tried with little success to pull the Italian’s hands away from her jaw; this time getting a pained ‘No’ before the powerhouse gave up trying to break her opponent’s grip and instead planted her fists on the mat and started to use her upper body strength to haul them both towards the ring ropes. Avilo made slow progress, refusing to quit every time the official asked while Bianca nonchalantly leaned on the bottom rope, pushing it towards her tag team partner. Mel got within millimetres of being able to reach the rope before the Italian released her grip and went to pull the Brazilian back towards the middle of the ring. The former Evolution Champion fought and managed to roll onto her back which saw Alessandra change her tactic and went to apply a rivera cloverleaf. Avilo, though, fought against the attempts to flip onto her back and instead brought her knees into her chest  which allowed her to rake her nails down the Italian’s face.

Zack: I think that’s desperation right there. Mel needed to give herself a second or two, and that’s one of the dirtier ways to do it.

Lexi: I’m sure at this moment Mel won’t particularly care how dirty a move it is, just as long as it has the desired effect.. Which this definitely has. She’s bought herself a few moments to gather herself if nothing else.

Alessandra released her grip and stepped backwards, holding her face as she did and Mel came back to her feet and immediately skipped towards her opponent, catching her with a brogue kick to the chest that dropped her fellow former Unity Champion down to the canvas. The Brazilian Storm member took a moment to rub the back of her neck as she watched Esposito get back to her feet which saw Avilo skip forwards and rattle her teeth with a savat kick to the jaw. Again the Franchise member rubbed the back of her neck before she stepped forwards yet again and drove a forearm into the side of her foe’s face, sending her back another step before she grabbed hold of the wrist of the Target Acquired member and went to whip her across into the corner. Alessandra slammed on the brakes and reversed the move, sending Mel into the corner across the ring instead.

Zack: A little reverse course from Alessandra, and now Mel’s in the corner. That’ll knock all the wind out of you in a hurry.

Lexi: I’m betting that Mel wasn’t expecting that reversal, but Alessandra will need to capitalise on it quickly because I’m sure it won’t take Mel long to recover from the shock of it.

The Naples native checked her teeth for just a second before she took off across the ring towards her opponent, looking to be about to catch her with a corner clothesline only for Avilo to step forwards and catch her across the chest instead, lifting her off her feet and slamming her into the ring mat with an STO. Esposito arched her back up in pain and this time the Brazilian powerhouse stepped between her legs, grabbing hold of them as she did so and fell back to catapult Alessandra into the corner - the Target Acquired members head striking the top turnbuckle and snapping backwards thanks to the move. As the Global Wars Winner staggered backwards, Mel caught her in a rear waistlock and instantly threw back towards the middle of the ring with a release German suplex.

Zack: My goodness! Alessandra didn’t get thrown, she was launched!

Lexi: I wouldn’t have been surprised if Alessandra had gone right through the ring then, there was some power behind that suplex.

Once more Mel held the back of her neck as she used the ring ropes to help herself get back to her feet and as Alessandra made it to her knees, the Brazilian charged forwards and caught her opponent with a running knee strike. The Italian came back to her feet, holding her jaw as she did so and the powerhouse irish whipped her into the ropes, catching her on the return with a raised knee to the midriff which caused the Naples wrestler to drop to her knees for a moment. The former Future Shock Champion rose back to her feet and this time as she did so, Avilo jerked her into a bear hug. Immediately Mel tightened up her grip as much as she could, squeezing the life out of Alessandra and causing her to cry out in pain. Davis asked her if she wanted to quit and got a ‘No’ which saw Mel once more wrench the hold on, doing everything she could to apply more pressure as she started to shake her opponent from side to side like a rag doll.

Zack: It’s like watching a tree branch in the middle of a storm the way Alessandra’s getting shaken up, courtesy of Future Shock’s 5th season champion.

Lexi: When it comes to strength these two might be evenly match, but there is absolutely no disputing that Mel has a definite size advantage over the pint sized Italian, which is making it much easier for her to shake her like a rag doll.

Mel finally stopped shaking her opponent and Davis again asked Alessandra if she wanted to quit, getting another ‘No’ from the Target Acquired member which saw her getting shaken from side to side once more. After a few seconds Avilo stopped to readjust her grip once more, tightening her arms around her opponent’s torso as she continued to try and squeeze all the life out of her as Davis asked the question once more. The European wrestler didn’t respond this time as she tried to force the break by clapping her forearms together into the side of her opponent’s head. Mel let out a grunt of anger and irritation following the blow to her head and as Esposito went to deliver a second she jerked the Neapolitan off her feet and drove her back first into the mat with a belly to belly slam. Quickly Mel made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Lexi: I think Mel is getting a little fed up of Alessandra now and she might just have scooped up the win right from underneath the Italian’s nose.

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Zack: A near fall for Mel, and she may be sensing victory is a lot closer at hand right about now.

Alessandra rolled her shoulder and Avilo stared a hole through the referee as the two count was shown to her before turning her attention back to her opponent, pulling her up from the canvas to her feet where she trapped her arms and began to deliver a series of headbutts into her face. Esposito staggered backwards, holding her head as she did so only to be scooped off her feet and slammed her down into the canvas with a Samoan drop. The Italian rolled to the side and started to come back to her feet only for Mel to stalk around behind her and yanked her down into a backstabber. The Naples born grappler bounced off her foes knees and landed on the mat where her back arched upwards in pain before she was again pulled upwards, Mel driving forearms into the small of her opponent’s back before she lifted her up once more and drove her spine first into her bent knee with a backbreaker, not releasing as she instead lifted her back up and slammed her into the mat with a sit out sidewalk slam. As it landed, Mel made the cover and hooked the leg as she did so.

Zack: You could hear that impact, and this may be all she wrote for Alessandra!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: Holy smoke! I thought that was going to be it then, and I’m sure Mel probably did too.

Alessandra’s shoulder popped up ahead of the three count and this time Mel stared at the referee once more, slapping her hand together to tell her it was a three count. Davis only stared back coolly, telling the Brazilian it was definitely only a two and the shoulder came up in time. Mel sneered as she shook her head and brought the Target Acquired member up to her feet only to use every ounce of her strength to whip her across the ring into the corner. Esposito hit the turnbuckles hard and a moment later found herself driving back into them courtesy of a running shoulder thrust into her midsection. Three more followed as the official called for the break and started the count, getting to four before Mel yanked the former Future Shock Champion out of the corner and sent her across the ring yet again.

Zack: Alessandra’s meeting the turnbuckles again and again, and I don’t think she was hoping for all these return dates with them.

Lexi: She’s looking a hell of a lot like a pinball there, and I’m sure that probably wasn’t one of her New Year Resolutions.

Once more the Italian wrestler struck the turnbuckles, her back arching away from the padding as she did so while Mel measured her up before she charged forwards after her. As Avilo drew close, Alessandra kicked her feet up and caught her in the face with both boots, sending the Brazilian staggering backwards, holding her nose while Esposito leaned back in the corner. Mel had a look of fury on her face as she recovered and started back towards her foe only to again get a pair of boots to the face, sending her backwards once more. This time the Target Acquired member stepped out of the corner and left her feet to deliver a spinning knee strike to the side of the head, before she followed that with a spinning roundhouse kick to the jaw. Mel fell down to one knee and Alessandra stepped back into the corner, pushing herself up onto the middle turnbuckle where she dove off to catch Avilo with a blockbuster as she pushed back upright. Mel hit the mat, holding her neck and kicking her feet in pain while Esposito’s back arched upwards from the mat, her mouth opening into an ‘O’ of pain.

Zack: A blockbuster seemingly out of nowhere! If she could make the cover, I think she could put this match away right now!

Lexi: She needs to capitalize on it, because the longer she gives Mel, the more chance the Brazilian has of pulling herself together here.

Slowly Mel sat up and started to come to her feet while Alessandra rolled into the ring ropes, grabbing hold of them to use them to pull herself upwards as her other hand held her lower back. The Italian just made it back to her feet first, immediately launching herself off the ropes and connected with the Open Season snap swinging neckbreaker. As the move connected, Esposito dove on top of her for the pinfall, hooking the leg as she did so.

Zack: It’s OPEN SEASON on Brazilian powerhouses!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: Surely one of these two is going to have to break soon? I’m not sure how much more either of them can take.

Mel’s shoulder came up in the nick of time and Alessandra looked towards the referee, asking for the three count only for Davis to shake her head and tell the crowd favourite that it was only a two count. Esposito had a look of disbelief on her face as she seemed to ask the referee if she was certain and Davis told her it was only a two and the shoulder was off the mat just before the three could be counted. Alessandra nodded her head and started to rise back to her feet, holding her back as she did so while Mel rolled onto her feet and was slowly beginning to push upwards while Kyle pulled himself up onto the apron. Davis started to step towards him only for Alessandra to also spot him and took off towards him, looking to catch him with a forearm to the side of the jaw, but only got air as he hopped back down to the floor. Esposito spun away from him and headed towards Mel as the official told Kyle to stay on the floor which saw the manager complain vociferously about Alessandra almost taking his head off.

Zack: If he doesn’t want to get what’s coming, he should keep his ass on the floor. Or better yet, in the back.

Lexi: Maybe one of these days he’s learn to keep his face away from the action if he doesn’t want to get it smashed in… but I’m really not willing to hold my breath on that one.

With the referee distracted, Avilo went to catch the advancing Italian with a punt kick right between her legs but Esposito managed to catch her foot before it connected and used her hold to spin Mel all the way around where she caught her with a discus forearm to the jaw. Avilo’s legs turned to spaghetti underneath as she tried to stay upright only for the Italian to take hold of her wrist and brought her foot up as she jerked Mel into the Dead Fall inverted stomp facebreaker. Alessandra dove on top of her foe, hooking her legs as she did so.

Zack: DEAD FALL!! That’s it!

One….

Two….

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: The Italian has done it, and this crowd are absolutely loving it!

The referee called for the bell and as it sounded, Alessandra sat up holding her back and slowly started to come to her feet, helped upwards by the referee while Mel rolled to the side, holding her neck as she did so. The crowd cheered as the official raised Alessandra’s hand in victory.

Kat: Here is your winner, by way of pinfall… ALESSANDRA ESPOSITO!!!!

Zack: Alessandra Esposito has started 2022 with her biggest singles win in FFW yet, and well earned too!

Lexi: Both of these women deserve a round of applause, what a way to open the first Breaking Point of 2022!

The crowd cheered loudly as Alessandra smiled, while still holding her back with one hand. She started to celebrate her victory while Kyle helped Mel out of the ring and to her feet on the outside. As Kilmeade started to help his client to the back, Esposito celebrated in the ring to the delight of the fans and the show cut elsewhere.

Not Fit To Be On Top

The next image we see is that of Amber Carano, who is joined by the owner of FFW. Samantha looks to be in a reasonably good mood for whatever reason as she looks over to the reporter.

Amber: Happy new year, Miss Star!

Samantha: Happy new year, Amber. It’s very good to be back on the road and doing what FFW does best: display the best female wrestlers in the world in the ring. What’s on your mind?

Amber: Recently, we heard about the closure of SVW. And given that they were such a major source of competition for FFW, I wanted to see how you felt.

Samantha looked a little curious at her statement.

Samantha: How were they a major source of competition for us? The majority of SVW’s female roster either worked in FFW or Future Shock. It seems to me that we were doing them a favor than they were competition for us. But how do I feel about the closure? Honestly, I’ve seen so many different promotions close since we opened. They definitely had the most staying power of any of the ones I’ve seen, and I applaud them for that. I’m not elated or anything of that nature about it. SVW had some fantastic talents, and while I know many of the male wrestlers were displaced, I’m more than willing to offer them training positions within the Future Shock Centers if they would like that.

Amber: That’s very kind of you. Is there any plan to bring in some of the talent from SVW to FFW or Future Shock?

Samantha didn’t answer that at first, but instead had a slight smile on her face.

Samantha: If you’re asking me about contract talks, that’s not really anyone’s business just yet. But are there women from that company I would like to see on the FFW roster? Certainly, no doubt about that. Have I talked with any? Yes. And I am positive that Mr. Grant has spoken with some as well. That’s one of the best things about this company. You can choose your own path, whether it be Future Shock or FFW. Wait and see who shows up.

Amber: Last question, have you had a chance to talk with the former CEO of SVW Cody Kincaid?

Samantha: I haven’t. Mr. Kincaid hasn’t spoken to me very much in recent years. He’s only complained about things here, such as his odd claims against Mr. Grant last year. There has been no communication between us, and I don’t suspect there will be. I suspect he’ll be licking his wounds after seeing to the demise of the company. Now you can see why I never gave him more power than he had when he was here. Some people just aren’t cut out to be on top.

She gave Amber a small smile, and headed off screen. The show then cut back inside the arena.

Shaw Comes Home

A highlight clips shows each of the three matches from the Pure Championship tournament, which culminated at Crossed Out when Shaughnessy O’Neill won it against Caitlyn Storm. The show goes back live and the Quebec crowd is already making noise, causing the man on the stage to get a response he doesn’t usually get.

Kyle: Montreal, Quebec, Canada!!

Cue the hometown pop.

Kyle: I want you to help me welcome home the first ever FFW Pure Champion! The only woman who can travel between the FFW and Future Shock rosters to defend the title with the largest target on it in the whole company. And let’s be honest, she’d have been here tonight even if she wasn’t your new Pure Champion.  Welcome home….’THE ONE WOMAN SHOW’ SHAUGHNESSY O’NEILL!!!!

The brunette stepped out onto the stage as Alice Cooper’s “Poison” struggled to be heard over the cheers of the crowd. The first ever Champion milked the response for a couple of seconds before she raised the title over her head, causing them to cheer her even louder. With a smile on her face she headed towards each of the stage, cupping her hand to her ear and her grin getting even bigger as she again raised the Pure Championship above her head before finally joining her manager on the stage. She raised a microphone only to lower it again a couple of seconds later as the crowd continued to cheer for her, prompting her to ask them to quieten down for a second.

Shaw: It’s really good to be here. To be back home and to feel the love; the love that I only get right here in Montreal, Quebec, Canada!!!

Again her grin grew a little bigger as she got another cheap pop before once again she asked them to quieten down just a little bit.

Shaw: As this brilliant man right here said, I wouldn’t have missed this for the world. Wild horses couldn’t have kept me away from being here tonight. Especially not when this is the first show after I made history. Again. Especially not when this is the first show after everything I told you would happen, did happen. Again. Especially not when I get to step out in front of the best fans in the world as the first ever FFW Pure Champion; as the only woman who can appear on both this show and Future Shock and not when we’re in MONTREAL!!!

Kyle: Montreal, you know what a winner looks like. And it’s not just you. When this whole Pure series of matches was announced between the two rosters, Adam knew what a winner looked like too. Because who did he select as one of Future Shock’s representatives in the series? Shaw, the single most consistent woman in that ring night in and night out. He sent in a ringer, to say the least. And it paid off because Future Shock can now say it has the first Pure Champion in FFW history. They said death and taxes are the only two sure things in life. I’m adding Shaw to that list. She’s the closest thing there is to a sure thing in this sport. And that Pure title, the one that says you are the most technically brilliant talent in the biggest women’s promotion in the world, belongs to the woman who embodied it long before it was ever created.

Shaw: And not a word of that is untrue. Every single title I’ve ever competed for from day one, I’ve won. The tag team season of Future Shock. The Unity Titles. Global Wars. FFW Championship.  And every single time I’ve smashed records. I’ve exceeded expectations. Every time I’ve been told I couldn’t - I did. Every time I was told by an opponent I wasn’t worthy or I didn’t deserve it - I beat them. I made history. And now I’ve done it again. Like I keep on saying I’m a natural born winner. I’m 100% true Quebecois.

Again she paused to let the cheer from the crowd die down a little.

Shaw: And my New Year’s resolution? For this year to be much like every other year I’ve been in FFW - to serve up more of the same. To continue to be the most consistent, the most competitive and the best wrestler in FFW and to defend this title against all comers - against whoever Samantha or Adam deem worthy of getting a shot. I don’t care who they are or what they’ve done. I’ll be ready for them and I’ll do what I’ve always done - I’ll be the One Woman Show.

Kyle tossed his microphone to a production assistant, and raised Shaw’s hand in the air to give her even more adoration from the crowd before the show went to a commercial break.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish!

Zack: Tonight might as well be the Gold Standard showcase with all of the women from Kyle’s clientele we have competing up and down the card.

Lexi: No matter your personal opinion on them though, I don’t think anyone can deny that the Gold Standard do draw the crowds. Mostly because people love to see them get their just desserts I think… but they still put butts in seats.

A dark, orchestral vocal fills the arena as pink and black lights fill the arena. Smoke fills the stage, rising high as it is pumped out with speed. As the vocals give way to an equally dark electronic beat, two forms appear in the smoke.

I've done the race, I've got this far
Look to the North, 'cause I'm the star
Gonna make your body move just like Ibiza
Might be nice but I'm a diva
See me on stage and I'll make you go loony
Keep you on your toes, I'm en pointe, OK, sue me
Daenerys ain't got nothin' on me
Bow down, bitch, and give a curtsey
I'll bring you down like Miss Cersei
If looks could kill, bitch that's me!

The verse kicks in and one form comes bounding through the dry ice, the sight of Jo McFarlane giving way to the huge chorus of boos, Singapore Cane in hand, pink and black ring gear on full display and a black bandana on her head. Not that she seems to care about the reaction. Kyle Kilmeade comes out beehind her. The verse is fast-paced, and Jo goes down the ramp to the beat of the song, tossing the cane between her hands as she goes. Turning to the camera following her on the last line, she shouts it herself into the camera, pointing to herself with a grin.

All hail the queen (karakakarakakaka)
All hail the queen (boom, ka, boom, ka)
All hail the queen (karakakarakakaka)
All hail the queen

Jo waits for Kyle once she had slid into the ring, rolling from her front to one knee. Kyle joins her in the ring and she heads for her corner, where she takes the top rope and uses it to bounce to the second, where she looks out around her, raising the cane in her hand to further jeers. As she music fades, she jumps back down and discusses something with Kyle

Kat: In the ring this time, from Derry, Northern Ireland, please welcome “THE LIVING FIREWORK” JOOOOO MCFAAAAAAAAARLANE!

Zack: Jo joining the Gold Standard was nominated as one of 2021’s most surprising moments. But in my experience, unscrupulous people always find each other so it wasn’t that shocking to me.

Lexi: I don’t think anyone really saw that one coming, maybe not even the rest of the Gold Standard girls themselves.

As “Vanilla Radio” by The Wildhearts strikes up, Claire Black moves out to the centre of the stage bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet, loosening up a little before throwing her hands up in the air. She performs the sign of the cross and kisses the crucifix around her neck. Finally she began to dance down the entrance ramp towards the ring, shadow boxing all the way, snapping off furious combinations, her taped hands moving in a blur. As she reaches the ring she climbs the ring steps and enters between the ropes. She begins to shadow box one more time, practising a couple of combinations before stepping back into her corner, where she raised her foot onto the middle rope and stretched out, before switching to the other leg. As she finished stretching, she took the crucifix from around the neck, gave it a kiss then hung it over the top of the ring post before turning back to face her opponent, awaiting the start of the match.

Kat: Weighing in at 126 lbs and standing 5’ 5.5” tall, hailing from Boston Massachusetts, please welcome…CLAIRE BLACK!!!

Zack: It goes without saying I have a fondness for Claire here. That’s my broadcast partner Tuesday nights on Future Shock. And if you’re not watching that, you certainly should.

Lexi: Claire picked up a big win last year over the former Evolution Champion, Scarlett Silver, and tonight would be a great start to 2022 if she can build on that momentum with a win over someone of Jo’s calibre.

Robert Valero was the official in charge and ordered Kyle out of the ring and to take Jo’s kendo stick with him. The manager complied as he stepped through the ropes and descended the stairs before McFarlane handed him the weapon which he stood safely in the corner. The referee checked both combatants were ready, getting the slightest nod from Claire while Jo told him to ring the damn bell already, the Northern Irish woman getting her wish granted. Immediately the pair came out of their corners and started to circle each other , the former FFW Champion grinning at her opponent as she stopped and jutted out her chin, telling the one time boxer to take her best shot. Claire hesitated for a moment as Jo pointed to her chin and even went so far as to tell Black that she’d close her eyes so she couldn’t see it coming. The tag team specialist stepped forwards into a vicious looking right cross but as she swung, Jo’s eyes snapped open and she caught the boxer with a drop toe hold, sending her face first to the canvas, floating over instantly to apply a seated side headlock to the Bostonian.

Zack: No question that Jo has to be extra cautious of Claire’s hands. All she needs is one shot to put the lights out, and we already see Jo is up for that challenge.

Lexi: There is a reason she’s the KO half of KO/TO after all, but Jo is an old hand at this. She’s not going to make the mistake of taking Claire lightly.

McFarlane wrenched the hold on tightly as Claire started to push upwards, trying to fight her way back to her feet but the moment that she got there, Jo took her straight back to the canvas with a headlock takeover, wrenching the hold on tighter. Kyle applauded at ringside while Jo smirked, flexing her muscles to tighten up the hold further and told Claire to quit before demanding the official ask her the question. Valero looked sceptical but still asked Black if she wanted to submit and got an angry ‘No’ from the boxer who was already starting to push upwards once more. Again Jo let her opponent get her feet beneath her before she again shifted her weight and used her hips to send the boxer down to the canvas yet again with another headlock takeover, keeping the hold applied as she did so.

Zack: One thing I’d like to know with Jo is exactly what goal she has set for herself. I’m sure she’d love to get back into the FFW title picture, especially as we know Kilmeade wants every title he can get his hands on wherever he is.

Lexi: I’m sure that Jo will make her intentions known sooner rather than later, and it would come as a shock to no one if her goal was to be at the top of the FFW mountain again.

This time as the pair landed on the canvas, Jo kept one arm wrapped around Claire’s head and neck while with the other she tapped the side of the head, telling the crowd that she was so much smarter than some brain damaged boxer and this contest was beneath her. Then the Derry native turned her attention back to the referee, re-establishing the headlock with both arms as she asked him if he was sure Claire hadn’t submitted to this fearsome headlock. Valero shook his head and was told to check which he did, getting another ‘No’ from the boxer. Yet again the KO/TO member began to force her way back to her feet, McFarlane keeping the hold applied. This time as Black came to her feet the former FFW Champion delivered a short, sharp, vicious closed fist to her forehead. A second and a third followed before she released the hold, causing Claire to step backwards, holding her forehead as she did so. Jo spun around to face and immediately got up on her toes, fists raised in a boxers stance and told Claire that she was even good enough to beat her at her own game.

Zack: This is what you call poking the bear. I don’t know that I want to engage Claire in a fistfight if I’m Jo…or anyone on the roster honestly.

Lexi: I don’t know about poking the bear, but it’s definitely asking for a world of trouble. It’s like challenging Michael Jordan to play one on one.

The Boston born wrestler stared at the red head for a moment before she raised her hands and stepped forwards. Jo looked to catch her with a jab as she did so only for Claire to weave her head out of the way as she delivered a stinging body blow into Jo’s side just underneath her ribs. A second body shot followed as Jo lowered her arms to try and cover up which only allowed Claire to catch her with a haymaker of a right hand to the side of the jaw. Jo stumbled and staggered a couple of steps to the side before she caught her balance and immediately found her head snapped backwards as Claire caught her with a trio of rapid fire jabs. Again the Irishwoman went to block the blows with her arm which again gave the boxer an opening to slam another fist into her side underneath her foe’s ribcage, that saw her drop her elbows protectively. Again Black looked to take advantage with a second hammerlike right to the jaw but Jo telegraphed the shot, blocking it and then stopped her foe in her tracks with a thumb to the eye.

Zack: And that’s about the only way Jo’s gonna win a fistfight with Claire, a thumb in the eye will stop anyone.

Lexi: It’s hard to feel sorry for Jo in that situation when she literally asked for it. That was some quick thinking to give herself a much needed escape from catching Claire’s hands though.

Claire barely made it half a step back, hand raising to try and clear her vision as Valero started to reprimand McFarlane before the former FFW Hall of Fame grabbed hold of the back of her opponent’s head and quickly marched her towards the corner where she drove her face first into the top turnbuckle. Black’s head bounced off the turnbuckle only for Jo to catch it and drive her face into the turnbuckle again. And again. And again. And again. Valero called for the break, demanding the Derry born wrestler stop and let the boxer out of the corner but Jo continued to slam her foe’s head into the turnbuckle until she’d done it ten times. Then she spun Claire around and shoved her back into the corner where she started to fire off stiff kicks into the brunette’s gut. Once more Valero demanded the break and told Jo to let her foe out of the corner, starting the count as he did so and got to four before Jo quickly retreated to the middle of the ring only to charge forwards and step onto the middle rope as she rocked Claire’s jaw with a kneelift. As McFarlane dropped down to the mat she pulled the boxer out of the corner and into a running DDT, planting her face first into the ring mat before she rolled her over and made the cover, hooking the leg and pressing a forearm against her opponent’s throat as she did so.

Lexi: It seems like Jo might be trying to make a point here more than anything. It’s way too soon to seriously expect Claire to stay down for three.

One…

Tw–

Zack: Way too early to count Claire out of this match. That wasn’t even a full two count.

Claire kicked out as Valero was bringing his hand down for the two count and Jo shook her head as she peppered her opponent’s face with right hands before pulling her up to her feet. As soon as she had Black upright, Jo sent her staggering backwards with a headbutt to the bridge of her nose and then followed that with a trio of European uppercuts. Claire staggered backwards and as she caught her balance the FFW Hall of Famer grabbed hold of her head and jerked her downwards into a single knee facebreaker that sent the Boston born wrestler falling backwards to the mat. McFarlane backed away a couple of steps and had an evil grin on her face as she mocked her opponent with the Ali shuffle before she waved the brunette upwards. Claire was already rising and as soon as she was vertical, Jo rushed towards her and left her feet, looking to deliver a superman punch only to get empty air as Black ducked at the last moment. McFarlane stumbled as she landed and before she could recover, her opponent sent her down to the mat with a German suplex.

Zack: As we are seeing, Claire is certainly more than just an expert striker in the ring. Sometimes I think people forget that purely because of her punching power.

Lexi: I think Claire might suffer a little bit from the curse of being part of a successful tag team. A lot of people tend to be blinkered to just how good wrestlers like Claire can be when they’re on their own.

Quickly the Northern Irish wrestler came back to her feet and started towards the boxer as Claire was slower to rise. Jo pulled her foe the rest of the way up to her feet and immediately found herself shoved backwards by the Massachusetts based wrestler and then sent down to the canvas with a vicious roundhouse kick to the side of the head. Again Jo rolled to the side as she hit the mat and began to come back to her feet, only making it as far as her knees before Black skipped forwards and caught her with a kneelift to the jaw. It saw McFarlane come back to her feet, holding her jaw as she did which allowed the boxer to catch her with a stiff shot to the rib cage again before the former Unity Champion grabbed hold of Jo’s wrist and fired her across the ring into the corner and charged in after her, catching the Derry native with a clothesline a moment after she crashed into the turnbuckle pads. Black stepped backwards and launched into a series of three spinning European uppercuts before she pulled the Hall of Famer forwards into a scoop slam. Jo landed on the mat and before she could move, Black delivered a fist drop into her forehead which saw McFarlane roll to the side holding her face as she did so.

Zack: I think we can both agree a victory over someone with Jo’s credentials in FFW would be quite the springboard for Claire.

Lexi: It would definitely be a springboard for most anyone on the FFW roster to be fair. There’s not many who have the list of accomplishments in FFW to their names that Jo has.

The pair made it back to their feet simultaneously and Claire caught the Derry born wrestler with a front kick into her stomach before the boxer pulled her into a front facelock. As Black kept the hold applied, the Bostonian began to drive knees into her opponent’s chest, landing four before she hauled her upwards, lifting her into a vertical suplex that she held for a couple of seconds before finally dropping backwards, sending the Hall of Famer back first into the mat. Jo sat up, holding her back only for Claire to pull her upwards, lifting her off her feet as she did so and into an Atomic Drop. Gingerly the red head stepped forwards, one hand pressed to her lower back only for Claire to lift her off her feet again to slam her spine first over her knee with a back breaker. Again McFarlane hit the mat, rolling onto her front and held her lower back once more.

Zack: Claire is showing us that her power isn’t just in those fists. She’s giving Jo’s back the worst form of a chiropractic malpractice right now.

Lexi: It’s almost like she has a laser focus on Jo’s back. She’s found her target and she’s not going to let up on it.

The Future Shock trainer pulled her opponent up to her feet once more and as she got her upright she started to unload with a combination of stiff jabs which she finished off with a European uppercut that saw the former FFW Champion step backwards. As she did, Claire once more caught her wrist and sent her in for the ride, catching her on the return with a spinebuster that drove Jo once more back first into the canvas. Quickly the boxer popped back up to her feet and immediately began to circle around the Northern Irish woman, stomping away at her limbs one after another after another with a garvin stomp. McFarlane rolled away once more, holding her gut following the stomps and hurried to get back to her feet only to be sent back down to the canvas with a neckbreaker. Quickly Black made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Zack: Claire’s grounded Jo, and looking to hear the bell in three!

One…

Two…

Lexi: It takes a lot to keep Jo down for a three count, and Claire isn’t there just yet.

Jo kicked out as the two hit and Claire nodded her head in acceptance of the count as she brought Jo back to her feet and again Irish whipped her across the ring into the corner. McFarlane hit the turnbuckle hard and again the boxer charged in behind her and left her feet to catch her with a splash. Black landed on her feet and immediately took up a fighting stance where she started to unload a furious flurry of right and left hands into her body. Valero ordered the break and separation between the two and started the count, getting to four before the boxer stepped onto the middle rope and caught McFarlane with an enzuigiri to the side of the head which saw the former FFW Champion slump down in the corner. Jo started to slip a little further before she was jerked out of the corner by her foe, who quickly scooped her off her feet and sent her rolling across the ring with a fall away slam.

Zack: Jo’s getting treated like yesterday’s garbage right now, and Claire’s really keeping the pressure on too. That’s what she has to do.

Lexi: Claire has one of the biggest chances of her solo career here tonight, and you can see the determination she has to cash in on that chance.

Jo used the ring ropes to pull herself back up to her feet and as soon as she was upright, Claire darted towards her and caught her with a running big boot to her face, almost sending her out of the ring over the top rope. Instead McFarlane stumbled forwards towards the middle of the ring and into a straight right hand from the KO/TO member. The Northern Irish woman dropped like a rock and immediately the Boston native dove on top of her, hooking her legs as she did. Valero slid into position and checked the shoulders before he started to count the pinfall.

Zack: Another tight cover by the knockout artists!

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Lexi: That was the closest we’ve seen to ending this match yet. Claire is definitely starting to wear Jo down, but she needs to keep that pressure on now.

Jo rolled her shoulder before the three count could be completed. Claire looked to the referee, asking for the three count only for Valero to shake his head and confirm the two count. Black nodded her head in acceptance and looked back towards McFarlane just in time to see her roll out of the ring to the floor and onto her feet. The brunette headed towards her foe as Valero saw Kyle heading around the ring and told him to stay back, Kilmeade holding up his hands as he stopped in the corner but still shouted instructions towards Jo. As he did, Claire reached through the ropes and grabbed hold of the Derry Girl’s hair to pull her back up into the ring, getting her as far as the apron before the former Franchise member reached up to grab hold of Claire’s head to snap her throat first over the middle rope and sent her back down to the mat. Jo didn’t waste any time as she turned back to face the ring where she grabbed hold of Claire by the ankle and pulled her out of the ring. Black landed on her feet and McFarlane dropped down to her knees to catch the former Unity Champion with a jawbreaker. The Future Shock trainer staggered backwards and Jo quickly grabbed her by the arm and sent her barrelling into the ring steps, Kyle stepping backwards out of the way as she did so; Claire’s body crashing hard into the steel.

Zack: You could hear the crash of Claire’s body against those steps. When a body meets steel, steel always wins.

Lexi: That is seriously gonna knock the wind out of her at the very least.

Black sat back first against the ring steps; Jo taking a couple of moments to hold the small of her back before she took off towards her foe and left her feet to deliver a hesitation dropkick into Claire’s chest, causing her head to bounce backwards off the steel steps. Valero told Jo to bring the action back into the ring before he continued his count which saw McFarlane bring her opponent back up to her feet where she used a hip toss to send the former boxer back first into the steel steps once more. Again the Derry born wrestler pulled Claire upwards and rolled her back into the ring underneath the bottom rope where she followed her in. Black rolled away and pushed up onto all fours where McFarlane stomped down on her left hand, grinding her boot down on her digits, prompting the official to again call for the break, using the count and getting to four before Jo lifted her foot slightly then stomped back down on Claire’s hand. Black rolled away with a look of pain on her face, holding her left hand against her chest as she did so.

Zack: I think Jo has become even more vicious in the ring since she came back last year. Signing up with Kyle tends to bring that out in his clients.

Lexi: Jo definitely does seem to have a more vicious streak to her now, and on top of her already impressive skills, that only spells trouble for her opponents most of the time.

Jo shook her head as a smile started to form on her face yet again as she moved towards Claire, driving a stiff kick into the boxer’s spine as she sat up. A second kick followed that before the former FFW Champion pulled her opponent upwards from the mat, grabbing hold of her left arm as she did so and jerked her straight back down with a side Russian leg sweep. Immediately McFarlane transitioned into a crucifix armbar that Claire tried to prevent by interlocking the fingers of her hands only to see Jo jerk violently on her arm, finally straightening out the limb and started to pull back on it, causing Claire to grimace and let out a strangled cry of pain. Valero dropped down beside the brunette and asked her if she wanted to quit, getting a ‘No’ from her. Jo continued to pull on the arm and wrist, applying more torque; Claire shaking her head as the referee asked her the question again. Black reached out with her free hand towards the ropes but found them out of reach.

Zack: Claire can’t get a hand on those ropes, so the question becomes what does she do now? Because I don’t think quitting is in her vocabulary.

Lexi: Claire’s stuck between a rock and a hard place here, whatever she’s going to do, she’ll have to do quickly, because the human body can only take so much before it can’t take anymore.

The referee asked again, getting another ‘No’ as the boxer kicked and pressed her feet against the canvas, pushing herself and dragging the Northern Irish woman towards the ropes. Jo pulled back further on the arm causing Claire to cry out in pain for a couple of moments before she stretched out with her free arm as far as she could and managed to hook a finger around the bottom rope. Immediately the official called for the break and as he started the count, McFarlane grabbed her opponent’s fingers and viciously snapped them in opposite directions, rolling away as the official made the four count. As soon as she was released, the Boston native rolled into the ropes, hooking her arm around the bottom rope and cradling her hand against her body, the camera getting in close to see the look of agony on her face. Valero told Jo to stay back as he checked on Black and confirmed that she was okay to continue.

Lexi: Holy hell, I think there’s a chance Jo might just have broken Claire’s fingers there. There was no need for that kind of display.

Zack: I don’t think Jo’s going to heed the referee’s advice for very long here, judging by the look on her face.

McFarlane gave the official mere seconds to get the confirmation he was after before she stepped towards her foe, grabbing hold of the top rope as she began to drive determined stomps into Claire’s body. The referee demanded Jo back up and started to use the count, getting to four before McFarlane stepped backwards. The official issued her with a warning, telling her to let Claire out of the ropes and to let him do his job which got a shrug of the shoulders from Jo. The official again went to check on Claire and as he did, McFarlane took off across the ring, hitting the far side and came back to deliver a baseball slide to the back of her foe’s head. Again the referee tried to tell her off but as he did so, the Derry girl slid to the outside, pulling on Claire’s hair to leave her head hanging off the apron where she started to hammer forearms across the back of Claire’s shoulders, delivering top shots in quick succession before she headed towards the corner, pulled herself up onto the apron and the red head stepped forwards and delivered a guillotine leg drop across the back of Black’s head as she hung over the apron. McFarlane took a moment to play to the crowd as Claire curled up into a ball on the apron, holding her neck.

Zack: This is where she wastes time. I wouldn’t be giving Claire time to get her marbles together.

Lexi: Jo might be starting to get a little over confident right here, and that’s a dangerous game that could very well come back to bite her on the butt.

The crowd were booing McFarlane loudly as she grinned widely at them and then slid back into the ring and pulled her foe up and draped her neck over the bottom rope before stepping up onto her shoulder blades, choking her out as she did so. Valero called for the break and started the count, Jo only stepping away at four and seven-eighths, stomping down on Claire’s left hand on the mat as she did so, which prompted the official to begin to read the riot act, telling her that he would disqualify her if she didn’t begin to listen to his instructions which caused the former FFW Champion to argue with him, telling him that she knew the rules - probably better than he did - and that she had till the five count to break. With the referee distracted Kyle stalked down the outside of the ring, towards Claire as she was trying to catch her breath while hung over the bottom rope; the manager rearing back as though he was about to deliver a wicked open handed slap to her face only to shake his head and laugh, turning to the crowd and the nearest camera to tell them he didn’t have to, Jo was already outclassing this wannabe who should stick to teaching; that Future Shock was succeeding in spite of Claire, not because of her.

Zack: He talks a lot of smack for someone who can’t get in there and do it himself. I guess he doesn’t have to when he has a hit squad of women who will do it for him.

As the crowd booed the manager loudly, Jo rolled her eyes at Valero’s continued reprimand and stepped past him to advance on her foe. As she got to her, she wrapped her arms around Claire’s waist and jerked her upwards, spinning around as she did so and slammed her down into the mat with the BANG! Wheelbarrow facebuster. McFarlane immediately rolled her over and made the cover with the hook of the leg, one hand pressed to the small of her back as she did so.

Zack: There goes the BANG!! That might be the end of the night for Claire!

One…

Two…

…THRE—

Lexi: Claire is not ready to give up just yet. I’m not sure where she’s pulling the extra stamina from but she’s still in this thing.

Claire’s shoulder came up just before the three count could be completed and Valero waved off the three count, showing the two to the crowd and the time keeper as Jo stared at him quizzically. She clapped her hands together three times as she came to her feet and extended her arm towards him, demanding he raise her hand in victory but the referee refused, telling her it was only a two and that the shoulder came up in time. McFarlane glared at him coldly for a couple of seconds before she stepped back towards the rising Claire, circling around behind her and boxing her knees as the brunette made it to her knees. Black wobbled slightly but managed to stay up and forced herself onto one knee. McFarlane gave the signal to the crowd for another BANG! Before she wrapped her arms around her foes body and pulled her upwards. As the former FFW Champion pulled the one time boxer to her feet, she lifted Claire up into position for a second wheelbarrow facebuster but this time the Boston native was able to count, curling her body up as she countered into a roll up pinning combination.

Zack: Jo’s going for it again, another BA–OH maybe not!

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Lexi: Claire is definitely still in this thing. Jo did not see that coming at all.

Jo kicked out at the last moment, sending Claire sprawling forwards onto the canvas where she instantly started to push upwards. McFarlane checked with the official again, looking relieved for just a second before a snarl formed on her face and as she came back to her feet. The Derry born wrestler dropped back to the ropes and charged towards Claire, running past her and bouncing off the ropes that the boxer was looking at and came back looking to catch the brunette with a busaiku knee strike but missed as the former Unity Champion dropped forwards to all fours. McFarlane landed hard on the mat and immediately reached for her spine before she rolled onto her knees as she rose to her feet and went straight back towards Claire, reaching her as Future Shock’s commentator made it to her feet.

Zack: Both these women have taken the measure of each other tonight, and neither are staying down any longer than necessary.

Lexi: They both know how dangerous it will be to give the other even a second to get an advantage.

The Derry native went to apply a full Nelson hold but before she could lock it in, Claire was able to free an arm and catch the red head with a trio of elbow shots into the side of her head. The former FFW Champion stepped backwards which allowed Claire to catch her with a mule kick to the stomach, doubling Jo over and causing her to take another couple of steps backwards. Black turned and, with her foe still doubled over, she launched herself over her back and into a sunset flip pinning combination.

Zack: Sunset flip to surprise Jo and pick up her first win of 2022!

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Lexi: That was closer than I think Jo would have liked. Claire almost had her right there.

Again Jo managed to kick out before the three, and rolled backwards to her feet where she darted towards Claire as the boxer sat up and looked to deliver a high boot to her face. Again the former Unity Champion managed to avoid the shot and as McFarlane tried to catch her balance, the Boston born competitor rolled her up into a schoolgirl pinning combination.

Zack: Another rollup, Claire’s looking to take it before Jo even realizes it!

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Lexi: Holy smoke! I thought Claire was going to take it then, and I think this crowd thought the same thing too.

Once more McFarlane kicked out ahead of the three count, this time sending Claire stumbling forwards towards the ropes. Black caught herself on the ropes and immediately turned to see her foe rising. As Jo scrambled to her feet, the boxer leaned back into the ring ropes and used them to fire herself forwards and into a superman punch that saw her crash her left fist into Jo’s jaw. McFarlane fell straight back to the mat and Claire immediately grabbed hold of her left hand with a look of extreme agony on her face as she did before she dropped to her knees and lay back across her opponent’s body. Valero dropped down and checked the shoulders before he began the count.

Zack: Superman punch from Claire, and shit it right on the button that says ‘Good Night, Jo!”

One…

Two…

…THRE—

Noo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: What is it going to take for Claire to be able to get that full three count?!

Again Jo managed to pop her shoulder up at the last moment, rolling to the side and held her jaw as Claire sat up, holding her left hand; trying to gently massage some life back into it. Black came back to her feet and waved her rising opponent upwards as Jo had already made it back to her knees. McFarlane continued to rise to her feet and as she did so, Claire held her left hand down by her side, out of the way, and went to tag her opponent with a right hand jab. Two landed before Jo was able to telegraph what was coming, ducking underneath the attempted jab and rising back up straight as she clocked the boxer with a spinning back fist to the side of the head. Claire staggered backwards and Jo spun back the other way to catch her with another spinning back fist. It kept Claire on the back foot as McFarlane continued to spin around, this time coming to face her opponent and as they came face to face, the Derry girl left her feet and delivered a bicycle knee to Claire’s jaw, dropping her down to the canvas like a sack of potatoes. Jo  followed it up with an elbow drop before she made the cover, hooking the leg tightly as she did so.

Zack: That knee dropped Claire like a rock, and this may be over right here!

One…

Two…

…THRE—-

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: I think Claire might be running on pure determination at the moment, and Jo might not be feeling quite as over confident as she was earlier now.

Claire’s shoulder came up at the last moment and Valero immediately showed the two count to all concerned. Jo stared a hole through him and then looked towards Kyle who pointed to his left arm and she nodded her head as she looked at Claire who was trying to sit up. McFarlane lunged towards her and laid her back down on the mat with a forearm across the jaw which allowed her to float over and grab hold of her left arm. Immediately she grabbed Claire’s wrist, lifting it up and slammed it five times, violently and rapidly downwards, driving her hand into the mat. Claire cried out in pain and tried to jerk her hand towards her chest, rolling towards it as she did so to protect it…but Jo wouldn’t let her as she pinned the arm to the mat at the wrist and at the shoulder which allowed to kick her feet into the air and drive a double knee drop into the arm four times as Valero demanded that she allow Claire back to her feet.

Lexi: Jo is trying to do as much damage as she can right now, could that be a little frustration at Claire lasting as long as she has against her?

After the fourth knee drop to the arm, Jo pulled Black upwards, jerking on her arm as she did and spun her around to build up momentum before hurling her through the turnbuckles and into the steel ring post shoulder first. Claire stepped back out from between the ropes and was spun around by her foe who lifted her up and dropped her down to the canvas with a shoulder breaker to the left shoulder. Black rolled over onto all fours for a moment before she reached across to hold her shoulder and arm. Jo circled around her, stopping and whipping her hair back as the former Unity Champion began to come to her feet. The crowd booed loudly and as Claire made it upright, Jo darted forwards and leapt into the air, wrapping her legs around her head as she looked to trap the left arm and lock in the Gingervitis submission hold. Before she could though, Black fell backwards, countering the attempt into a Samoan Drop.

Zack: Jo’s looking for her favorite submission…but Claire isn’t!

Lexi: Claire might have just flipped this whole match onto it’s head right here!

Claire rolled away and started back to her feet only to find Jo upright. The Northern Irish woman charged towards her once more, looking to catch her with a jumping knee strike which Black managed to side step at the last moment. McFarlane landed on her feet and immediately spun around to face Claire who met her with a roundhouse kick to the side of the head. Jo stumbled and the brunette pulled her straight into a single knee facebreaker that caused the Northern Irish wrestler to reel backwards and before she could recover the former Unity Champion pulled her forwards to hook her arms and drive her down into the canvas with a double underhook DDT - the TKO. The brunette held her left arm against her body as she rolled Jo over to her back and made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Zack: Say it with me, fans! T-K-O!!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: Claire has done it! She gave it her all and she’s getting to reap the rewards.

Valero called for the bell and as it sounded Claire sat up, still favouring her left arm while Jo rolled away to the apron where Kyle helped her to her feet on the outside. In the ring Claire came to her feet and had her right arm raised into the air, the crowd cheering loudly.

Kat: Here is your winner, by way of pinfall… “TKO” CLAIRE BLACK!!!

Zack: Claire chalks up another big name in the win column, and well earned too! She’s still gonna be feeling this one though Tuesday night on Future Shock, I bet.

Lexi: She’s going to be feeling this one for a while I think, but I’m sure she’ll definitely think it was worth it.

The crowd cheered loudly for the Boston born wrestler as she continued to favour her left arm, raising her right above her head as she celebrated while Jo and Kyle started to head up the ramp as the show cut elsewhere.

Finally

The show returns from the commercial break to the ring, and finds Allison Marx standing in the squared circle with the Canadian crowd buzzing.

Allison: History was made in FFW at Crossed Out this past November on FFW All Access. And my guest at this time finally reached the pinnacle of her wrestling career after a decade plus of climbing the mountain. Let’s take a look back.

She glances towards the video wall as the show cuts to a clip from the main event of Crossed Out last November.

Kelly made it to the nearest corner, deciding to go high risk once again. But she didn’t make it far before she spotted Missy beginning to rise. She hopped back down and went to grab her, but the champion ducked her swipe and caught her turning around with a spinning backfist. It staggered Kelly backwards into the ropes before Missy darted towards her, looking for a lungblower. But as she went to drop backwards, Kelly’s arms hooked the top rope and let her crash onto her own back and ribs.

Vincent: That’s a veteran tactic if I ever saw one, Mr. Hudson. The fact that Mrs. Kincaid had the wherewithal to know how close she was to the ropes is remarkable.

Zack: Not to mention that’s doing further damage to Missy’s core, which has been the target of Kelly pretty much from the opening bell.

The blonde glanced from Missy to the corner, and headed towards the corner. She made her way finally to the top rope, and watched as Missy rose to her feet. Kelly delivered a moonsault meteora that crushed the champion into the mat before she grabbed both legs for the cover!

Zack: WHERE DID THAT COME FROM?!  METEOR DROP!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Zack: Well I’ll be damned!! Look who made it to the top of the mountain!!

Stringer called for the bell as the fans rose to their feet yet again. Kelly didn’t believe it at first, causing her to look at her husband and then the referee before she got her hand raised.

Vincent: I have nothing but respect and praise for both of these women, and I can only tip my proverbial hat to Mrs. Kincaid. Let’s allow our ring announcer to make it official.

Stringer handed Kelly the FFW Championship, which brought tears to her eyes as she held it against her chest. She dropped to her knees, and held it against her body as fireworks shot off through the rafters.

Kat: Your winner by pinfall…...AND NEEEEEEEEEEEWWWW FFW Champion…...KELLY KINCAID!!!

Zack: Over 10 years since she walked in the door to FFW, Kelly Kincaid has finally become what she wanted to be from day one…. A decade plus journey for that woman has culminated into being the new FFW Champion!!

~ ~ ~

The show returns live as Allison continues.

Allison: Please welcome my guest at this time along with her husband, the NEW reigning FFW Champion…..KELLY KINCAID!!!

The arena falls dark as the opening of “Blonde, Bad and Beautiful” by Airbourne plays, Kelly explodes upward out of the middle of the stage as though shot out of a cannon, landing a perfect front somersault in a shower of blue sparks. As she lands she holds her title belt high over her head. The girl is joined by Christian Kincaid on the stage. Turning to face her husband, she turns to face him, giving him a big hug as she plants a kiss to his lips. As the music starts to pick up pace once more she starts to run toward the ring, performing a quick cartwheel into a handspring before sliding into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Using the momentum to her advantage, the former acrobat forward rolls to her feet and leaps onto the middle rope. She quickly hops down, thrusting her title over her head once more before joining Allison and Christian. The new Champion had a huge grin on her face as she clasped the title on her shoulder.

Kelly: That…that sounds really, really, really good Allison. FFW CHAMPION…KELLY KINCAID!!! It was a long, long journey. One heck of a chase that came to a head at Crossed Out against one of the best, one of the toughest, one of the greatest wrestlers in FFW history - I mean, look at the varying accolades and accomplishments Missy has racked up since she stepped foot in FFW; look at everything she did before that. Ever since I’ve had the FFW Championship presented to me, it’s barely been out of arm’s reach and I’ve been on cloud nine. Now…now I’m ready to do everything I can to keep hold of this for as long as I can.

Christian: She’s not exaggerating, Allison. Since she won it, the only time that title has left her sight was when she was asleep. There aren’t words to describe how much it means to her, given how much time went into claiming it for her own. Like she said, she got past one of the best to ever hold it in the decade plus history of FFW. And it’s going to take someone equally if not more remarkable to take it away from her.

Allison: Being at the top of the roster as the FFW Champion certainly puts a bullseye on your back, Kelly. You’ve got a growing list of women who will no doubt be looking to claim a shot at it. There’s possibly Emma Mackenzie, who won the “Pick Your Poison” match the same night you won that title. There’s obviously Savannah Star, who has long since been after it for well past two years now dating back to Unstoppable 10. I’ve even heard rumblings about Cassandra Steen as well. Is all that daunting at all? Or is it more invigorating for you?

Kelly: It’s invigorating Allison. As much as I wanted this for the prestige of holding one of the most coveted, most highly contested Championship in this industry; as much as I wanted to join a very small, very elite band of women to have climbed the highest mountain here in FFW and prove that I was one of the best of the best. I also knew that was only half the battle and only half the job done. I’m ready for the next step. I’m ready to face anyone and everyone; to defend this title against all comers. I love that people are snapping at my heels and that the FFW Championship picture is getting crowded. Bring it on because I’m looking forward to turning them aside and thinning out the crowd.

Christian: Kelly has never been a shrinking violet whenever she’s held a title. You can look back at her entire history with any title she’s ever held. There’s never been a case of her being unwilling to defend it against anyone and everyone that gets a shot. And now that she has the one title she’s wanted above all since day one, I promise you that fact hasn’t changed in the slightest.

Kelly: Not at all, I’ve always sought to be a fighting champion. I’ve always been ready and willing to face all comers and take the fight to every challenger and that is definitely going to continue. I’m not interesting in hiding away. Like you said, Allison, there’s a bullseye on me and I embrace that fact. Let them come. Let them take their shot. Let them pose me problems. I’ll show them…the world…anyone who might doubt me - anyone who ever has doubted me - that I have the solutions, that I can take on and beat anyone. Because truth be told Allison, just like I have every day of my career, I’m working hard, I’m getting stronger, faster, better and more skilled. And I was already pretty damned good to begin with.

The camera gets a close up of Kelly holding her FFW Championship before the show cuts to a commercial for Future Shock on Tuesday.

After the commercial break, the show returns live and finds Kat in the ring for the final match of the night.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is your main event!

Zack: That was our final commercial break tonight, and just in time for the main event. Don’t forget to check out Future Shock Tuesday night as the girls go on the road for the first time!

Lexi: I know I’m looking forward to getting back into the Future Shock ring.

As Seven Notes in Black by the Vince Tempera Orchestra begins to play, Harley Shannon appears on the stage wearing a leather jacket over her ring attire, with her tied up in a bun, held in place with a pair of chopsticks. Harley stands quietly in the spotlight as the song stops playing.

Kat: Weighing in at 122 lbs, standing 5’6” tall and coming from Hanover, New Hampshire...HARLEY SHANNON!!!

After a couple of moments of silence the song starts up once more - with a more eerie tone and at that moment Harley starts off down the ramp, shedding her leather jacket before reaching back and pulling the chopsticks out of her hair and shaking her head to let her bright, flame red hair fall down around her shoulders. As she got to the bottom of the ramp, the girl picked out a young fan at ringside, giving the chopsticks to the fan before she slides into the ring and pops up to her feet. Heading for the corner, Harley climbs to the middle rope, throwing her hands up in the air to get cheers from the fans before she drops back down to the canvas and waits for the match to begin.

Zack: Harley Shannon was a standout in Future Shock, and I think she still has a world of potential yet to be realized. But she’s about to have a tiger by the tail momentarily. I’m curious to see what sort of gameplan she has in mind for tonight.

Lexi: Harley is no stranger to facing members of the Gold Standard, and that might just stand her in good stead for tonight.

As the opening of ‘Pour Some Sugar on Me’ by Def Leppard starts to play, Kyle Kilmeade steps through the curtain and holds it open. Stacey Sky steps out onto the stage wearing her ring gear which consists of a black bra-style top, with gold trim. A black and gold cheerleader style skirt, and black boots with a gold trim.

Pour some sugar on me
Ooh, in the name of love
Pour some sugar on me
C'mon, fire me up
Pour your sugar on me
I can't get enough

She stops at the start of the ramp and runs her hands down her sides until she reaches her hips and then stands with her hands on hips for a moment, before she starts moving towards the ring with Kyle walking slightly behind her.

I'm hot, sticky sweet
From my head to my feet, yeah

As the line hot, sticky sweet plays, she raises her finger to her mouth and tilts her head to one side. Then she sways her hips, lowering herself down at the same time, before popping back up and blowing a kiss from one side to the other.

Kat: Making her way to the ring, hailing from Anaheim, California and accompanied by Kyle Kilmeade…………….“Sensational” Stacey Sky

Listen! red light, yellow light, green-a-light go!
Crazy little woman in a one man show
Mirror queen, mannequine, rhythm of love
Sweet dream, saccharine, loosen up
Loosen up

She takes off at a run towards the ring and then jumps up onto the apron, where she immediately drops down into the splits. She leans forwards and grabs hold of her foot, lowering her head so she can roll under the bottom rope, still in the splits. Once in the ring, she moves up to her knees, throwing her head back as she does. She licks her lips and gives a devilish smile out to the crowd.

You gotta squeeze a little, squeeze a little
Tease a little more
Easy operator come a knockin' on my door
Sometime, anytime, sugar me sweet
Little miss innocent sugar me, yeah, yeah
Give a little more.

As her music starts to fade she gets to her feet and goes to her corner, climbing up, she sits on the top turnbuckle with her legs crossed and shares a few last minute words with her manager on the apron as she awaits the start of the match.

Zack: Stacey gave a career defining performance in the six woman tag match at Crossed Out, and set out to show the owner of this company she deserves another crack at the Phoenix title. She looks to cement it against Harley, who has shown a high aptitude and is more than capable of thinking on her feet.

Lexi: I’m interested to see what happens when these two come face to face when it’s a one on one situation.

Referee Melinda Davis calls for the bell after checking both wrestlers for hidden objects, and it’s Stacey who shows her aggressiveness early. The pair lock up in the center of the ring, and Stacey violently spins Harley around and shoves her into the nearest corner. Shannon goes to step out, and catches a running shoulder tackle from the blonde that drives her back into it. Sky begins firing fists at her head, causing Harley to cover up in the corner like a prizefighter. She catches the cheerleader with a short knee to break up her flurry, and starts firing back with shots of her own. Harley follows up with a jawbreaker that stumbles Stacey backwards, and then uses a double leg sweep to take her down to the mat.

Zack: Stacey came roaring out of the corner looking to get right into it, and Harley was happy to oblige her. I have these two pretty evenly matched on speed and strength, what about you?

Lexi: They’re definitely evenly matched on speed and strength, but there’s no disputing that Stacey is probably the more vicious of the two.

But the former cheerleader is quickly back to her feet, and catches Harley coming forward with a knife edge chop across her chest. Three more land before she shoves her back into the corner again, and starts hammering forearms into the side of her head. The former Fast Track Champion gets fired into the far corner chest first, and turns around just as Stacey approaches at high speed with a running European uppercut. With Harley reeling, she snaps off a belly to belly suplex to bring her down to the mat.

Zack: When Stacey first arrived in Future Shock, she employed a lot more of her aerial expertise. But as she’s developed her skill set, it’s obvious Kyle has broadened her offense and it’s paying off.

Lexi: It’s a case of evolve or die in this business. If you don’t develop your skill set, you’re gonna get predictable and then everyone will be able to beat you.

When Harley tries to get up, that’s when Stacey punts her in the rubs twice. The second shot almost lifts her off the mat before Sky cinches a rear waistlock, and drags her to her feet from behind. Harley tries to break her grip, but doesn’t get much time before a German suplex into the turnbuckles slumps her in the corner. Stacey takes off for the far side, and comes back with a facewash boot across her jaw. She yanks her by the foot out of the corner and rolls across her for the cover.

Zack: There’s that speed I mentioned earlier, and some big time impact too!

ONE!

TW-NO.

Harley kicks out as the two count was about to land, and Stacey gets back to her feet. She pulls her up by the head into a front facelock, but Harley drives her backwards into the corner before she can do much else. A series of quick shoulder thrusts knocks the wind out of her before a palm thrust to the neck stops Stacey cold.

Lexi: Harley is definitely no pushover and she’s teaching Stacey that the hard way.

The Canadian fans start coming to life as Harley begins showing some of her own offense. She whips the former Future Shock Champion into the far side, and catches her with a spinning back elbow on the rebound. It staggers the blonde where she stood, and Harley darts past her to hit the ropes herself. She rebounds quickly with a one-handed bulldog, and hops back to her feet again. Stacey starts to get to all fours before Harley comes off the middle turnbuckle with a leg drop across the back of her head followed by a pin attempt.

Lexi: That was a textbook leg drop there, and Harley is looking to call it a night already.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOO!!

Stacey kicks out as the two lands, and Harley gets back to a vertical base. When she sees Stacey beginning to do the same, she puts her down again with a running neckbreaker. Kyle shouts advice to his client as Harley pulls Stacey up and over into a gutwrench suplex.

Zack: Textbook execution of that gutwrench, and it looks like the strategy tonight for both of these ladies is to bring both barrels fully loaded!

Stacey starts crawling towards where her manager is at ringside, and uses the ropes to help her get up. She doesn’t make it far before Harley’s head pops up between her legs for an electric chair followed by a cover. Davis immediately slides into position to make the count.

Zack: Harley’s keeping the cheerleader down, and there’s a cover!!

ONE!!!

TWOO!!

Again, Stacey kicks out. When Harley gets back to her feet and grabs her feet, Stacey brings her knees up and pistons the orange-haired wrestler through the ropes to land on the floor ringside at Kyle’s feet.

Lexi: It looks like Stacey might be starting to get frustrated, and that seems to be when she gets even more vicious than usual.

The referee immediately warns Kyle when she sees where Harley landed, and Kyle holds up both of his hands before taking a step backwards. Shannon is a little slow to get up though, but Stacey’s there to greet her when she makes it back onto the apron. The former cheerleader blasts her with a discus elbow to the mouth, and then rakes her eyes along the top rope. With Harley blinded and dizzy, Stacey uses a standing dropkick to propel her off the apron back to the floor.

Zack: The referee needs to watch Kilmeade more than anyone right now, because I wouldn’t trust him as far as I can throw him across the street.

Lexi: You and the majority of the rest of this arena I think. Everyone knows just how underhand Kyle can be.

This time, the referee warns Stacey about letting her opponent back in the ring as Kyle moves closer to Harley. The former Fast Track Champion pulls herself up with the help of the barricade, and cocks a fist at him when she sees him getting closer.  She heads towards the ring, still keeping an eye on him till a baseball slide from Stacey sends her backwards. The blonde rolls out after her, grabbing two handfuls of her hair and smashing her face into the apron. She scoops Harley up, only to drop her face first across the edge of the ring before tossing her back inside.

Zack: Stacey doesn’t mind using her part of the ring to her advantage. We all know the edge is the hardest part of the entire ring, and Harley just got a face full of it.

Lexi: Harley was stuck between a rock and a hard place there, keeping an eye on Kilmeade left her vulnerable to that attack by Stacey.

Stacey slid back into the ring, and started stomping the back of Harley’s head when she tried to get back to her feet. She finally pulled her back to her feet, and fired her into the far corner. Harley landed back first against the turnbuckles before Stacey followed her in with a handspring back elbow to the jaw. It sent the flame-haired wrestler stumbling out of the corner before Stacey hopped up onto the middle rope, and caught her as she turned around with a blockbuster followed by a cover.

Zack: Knockout shot after knockout shot from the would-be Phoenix Champion, and this could be bell time!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THRE-NOO!!!

Harley got her shoulder up before the three, and Stacey rained elbows into the side of her head for doing it. She got back to her feet, and started waving for Harley to get up as Kyle encouraged her to go for her submission.

Lexi: Harley is about as resilient as they come as she’s proved time after time, she’s not going to stay down easily.

Harley was slow to get back to her feet. But when she did, Stacey swooped in from behind to grab her into her crossface. But Shannon instinctively countered by running them both backwards into the nearest corner. It knocked the wind out of Stacey for a second, allowing Harley to step away from her in a daze. When Sky went to grab her head again, Harley surprised her with a stunner that brought the Quebecois crowd to their feet. Harley slumped forward in a seat on the mat as she tried to collect herself.

Zack: Cover that woman! All Harley needs to do is turn around and make a cover! I think Stacey’s colder than the other side of the pillow!

Lexi: That stunner came out of nowhere, but Harley needs to pull herself together if she’s going to get any kinda pay off from it.

Harley finally seemed to get her bearings, and turned around to crawl into the cover. Davis dropped immediately to make the count.

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-WAIT!

Kyle pointed to Stacey’s leg across the bottom rope, where he just happened to be standing coincidentally. Davis spotted it, and stopped her count. Harley glanced towards him too, though she looked far more suspicious.

Lexi: Oh come on, does he think we were all born yesterday?!

She got back to her feet, and told the referee she didn’t believe Stacey got her foot on the ropes by herself. Kyle ducked his head into the ring, talking to Stacey and taking her hand before she finally rolled away from him. She brushed her elbow pad for a second as she got to her feet, only to get a codebreaker from Harley that sent her back to the mat. The Canadian fans were very loud now as Harley gave the sign for her favorite finishing move. Harley waved her to get back up again, and Stacey took her time in doing it. When she finally made it to her feet, Harley made a beeline for her.

Zack: I think Stacey may be running on fumes right now after that stunner, and Harley’s calling for it!

Lexi: Unless Stacey has something amazing up her sleeve, I think she’s in for a world of hurt right about now.

Stacey tried to blast her with her elbow, but Harley ducked it and returned fire with a flash kick to the jaw followed by a roundhouse and backwards thrust kick that toppled Stacey where she stood. She immediately dove on top of her for the cover.

Zack: There’s THE ERUPTION!!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Davis called for the bell to a pop from the crowd, and Harley rolled off the cover to sit against the ropes for a few seconds.

Lexi: Harley’s done it, and this crowd absolutely love it!

Kat: Your winner by pinfall…………………..HARLEY SHANNON!!!

When the flame-haired wrestler got back to her feet, the referee raised her hand in victory as Kyle stepped into the ring to attend to Stacey.

Zack: Harley Shannon was able to withstand Stacey’s fury, and answered the riddle on how to get the win! She’s gonna be feeling this match for days, I think.

Lexi: I think that’s an understatement. I predict there’s probably gonna be an ice bath in her very near future.

Harley turned to the crowd with a smile on her face as she raised her hands, and then turned back around to a bull hammer elbow shot from Stacey that put her down. The blonde stumbled into the ropes, still dazed and looking none too pleased.

Zack: Stacey doesn’t take defeat very well, does she? Harley won fair and square, but Sky doesn’t give a damn! I think that elbow pad is loaded!

Lexi: Talk about a sore loser!

The cheers turned to boos immediately as Sky looked down at the reeling Harley on the mat. And as she leaned down to get her, the lights went out.

Zack: Wait a minute!

Lexi: Oh lord, what’s going on here then?!

The lights came back up as Stacey and Kyle both looked around, and standing in the ring behind them was…

Zack: That’s REBECKA HATE!! We haven’t seen her in FFW in about 8 years!!

Stacey turned into a flurry of right hands before Hate grabbed her around the neck. She said something with anger etched all over her face and then lifted Stacey up high for a chokeslam! A standing sidekick to Kyle’s chest sent him through the ropes to the floor as the SVW Hall of Famer looked around the ring and listened to the crowd’s roar.

Lexi: Of all the people I would expect to come to Harley Shannon’s aid, Rebecka Hate would definitely not have been at the top of my list.

Zack: I’m not sure why she’s back…or what her issues are with Stacey! But I can’t wait to find out! Listen to this place!

Stacey was about to go after her but Kyle pulled her out of the ring, attempting to stop her as Rebecka helped Harley back to her feet. Harley looked as surprised as anyone as the show faded off the air showing Hate’s face as she glared at Stacey amid a roar from the fans.
