Live from the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Colorado
March 29, 2022

The limousine pulls up outside of a bank somewhere in Boston before the driver opens the door to let Cait Flanagan and Kyle Kilmeade out. She takes his arm, and heads inside and is immediately escorted to a vault filled with stacks of money. But she notices one pedestal set aside for the title she wants most. “Legendary” by Skillet begins to play as someone dashes past the camera, and the pair look out to see whoever it is with the Future Shock Championship.

My heart bleeds adrenaline
The fire I breathe is where I live

It turns out to be Charlotte Harker, who darts out of the bank and around a corner at top speed with it in her hands. She doesn’t get far before Shaw trips her up, and takes the title away from her with a shake of her head. As she’s looking down at her former tag partner with annoyance, the title gets lifted out of her hand before the woman holding it ducks into a parked car and starts it up. The driver is Jacqui Minogue.

Top, to the top
Ain't never gonna stop
To the top, to the top
Ain't never gonna stop

Jacqui speeds through the streets of Boston till she runs into a familiar woman holding up traffic by standing in the middle of the crosswalk. Jacqui looks closer, and sees it’s Shaughnessy O’Neill who makes a beeline for her car. Minogue locks the doors and rolls up the window before someone else rises up from the backseat...that being Alessandra Esposito. She snatches the title out of the passenger seat, and bolts from the car onto the crowded sidewalks. She only gets so far before she’s spotted. Cait, Jacqui, and Shaw close in on her before a car honks to get her attention. She hops into the Italian sports car, leaving her pursuers in the dust..

Never gonna keep me down (never keep me)
Still the one that's standing now (never falling)
Destiny is calling me
Go down in history
Every day I'll fight to be
Legendary

Watching out the window of one of the nearby buildings at the plight of the would-be champions is a very amused Angelina and Arabella before the show cuts live inside the 1stBank Center. The fans roar as the show goes live, and sparklers shoot around the stage all the way down the ramp until another burst shoots from the ring posts. The camera shows the Future Shock logo on the ring mat before cutting to Zack and Claire at ringside.

Zack: The stars of Future Shock have come to Broomfield, Colorado for the first time ever, and we are just 4 weeks away from Global Wars on FFW All Access. Thank you for joining us on a night where some of the newest signings to the roster will get a chance to shine. I’m Zack Hudson, and as always, I’m joined by Claire Black. Welcome to the 1stBank Center, where over 6,400 people are here to see some of the best and brightest in the sport.

Claire: Future Shock’s tour continues as we bring some of the best wrestling talents in the business to all four corners of the United States!! It’s a stacked card and I’m really looking forward to seeing what the debutantes we see tonight can bring to the ring and what they can do to stand out from the pack.

Zack: Before we get to that, those of you who watched Relentless this past Saturday night on FFW All Access know Future Shock has crowned brand new tag team champions! Alessandra and Nadia, Target Acquired, made history in Saitama with a must-see tag title match you should watch if you haven’t. Congratulations to them both!

Claire: They’ve been chasing those titles for a while and finally at Relentless in the spotlight match, they managed to capture them. Victoria and Sienna certainly pushed them and caused them a lot of anguish and agony along the way. But Nadia and Alessandra managed to overcome it. They’re building momentum and in a few weeks time at Global Wars, they could both be double champions - I certainly wouldn’t bet against them accomplishing that.

Zack: Future Shock has been signing new talent like it’s a fire sale, and you’ll see many of them tonight in the ring. As a matter of fact, all but one of them are new signings on the show. You’ll see Sapphire Taylor back in the ring as she faces one of her opponents at Global Wars in that triple threat for a Diamond title shot, Aviva Miller. This’ll be a good chance for both of these women to prepare for each other since they both know what it’s like against Ashley Chase.

Claire: When Sapphire faced Chase she wasn’t at all happy with Aviva’s intervention - even though it came from a good place. Tonight Sapphire can lay down a marker for the triple threat at Global Wars, but it’ll be easier said than done given the abilities Aviva showed in the ring in her debut.

Zack: Due to a diminishing number of requests, we’re gonna hear from the woman who made her surprise return on our last show. Yes, I’m referring to the self-proclaimed Innovator of Moonsaults. Fiona O’Dalaigh is here tonight. I just want to know why now.

Claire: Whether you wanted to know or not, we’re going to find out unfortunately. I’d beg the truck to cut her mic when she starts talking but she’s got one of the shrill shrieky screeching voices that carries and goes right through you. Like nails on a chalkboard. And I’m still sticking to my guns that she’s a delusional moron.

Zack: Ashley Marie Chase, the “Forever Champion”, has been telling us in promos how she’s tired of breaking in rookies for Future Shock. She won’t have to worry about that tonight when we see the debut of Ruby Tyler. I’m sure you’d agree, Claire, that Ruby Tyler is FAR from a rookie.

Claire: This…this might be a good time for Ashley to just stay quiet, focus on the job at hand and NOT get up to her usual tricks if I’m honest. There’s a real good chance that if you push Ruby too far then she might stop caring about winning the match and just use all those skills that took her to the top of three ultraviolence divisions at the same time to hurt Chase. And if she does that, there’s a very good chance Chase can forget all about the triple threat at Global Wars.

Zack: We’re gonna meet yet another new addition to the roster tonight. All I know for sure is that she’s the sister of one of the most talented women to have ever been part of FFW and SVW. That sounds like a tall shadow to be in, and doesn’t narrow the possibilities all that much.

Claire: It doesn’t really narrow the possibilities much at all. We’ve seen a LOT of very talented women compete in both FFW and SVW. We’ve also seen a lot of very talented siblings compete in this business too so that could bode very well for the new signing tonight and could put all our current talents on notice.

Zack: One I’m particularly looking forward to though is the meeting of the reigning Nova Champion, Angelina Fantastica, against the first ever singles match of Latina Heat’s Francesca Garcia. And I don’t mean in Future Shock. She’s NEVER had a singles match in her career. The Belles and the Heat will face off at Global Wars, so this should be a helluva preview.

Claire: Talk about getting thrown into the deep end. Garcia’s going to have it all on tonight and will be on a very very steep learning curve. Not only is she facing the reigning Nova Champion, she’s facing one of the most talented and quickest wrestlers alive today and we shouldn’t forget Angelina is coming off the best year of her career too.

Zack: I’ve also been made aware of an interesting wrinkle to this tag match at Global Wars, which I’ll be sharing with you when we see that match tonight. So let’s get things rolling, and send it up to our blonde bombshell ring announcer, Lexi Carmichael.

The next shot we see is that of Lexi herself in a blue dress that looks like someone cut out parts of it for her.

Lexi: Broomfield, Colorado…..ARE YOU READY?!

She gets quite a strong reaction from the crowd before she begins.

Lexi: The opening contest of Future Shock is scheduled for one fall to a finish!

The loud strumming of a guitar could be heard across the Pa system. As it does we can see the silhouette of a woman on the tron strumming at a guitar. The woman tosses the guitar to the side and as she does she slowly emerges from behind the curtain. Sapphire smiles as she is in a blue glittery attire. She isn’t around as she is with best friend Emerald McAdams. The blue make their way down the ramp to the loud ovation of boos.

Lexi: Making her way to the ring being accompanied by Emerald McAdams, she is “The Shining Star” Sapphire Taylor!!!

Sapphire stops as she takes it all in. She cracks a very wicked grin before she sprints into the ring. She quickly makes her way to her feet where she does a backflip. The crowd just boos loudly as she does. She ignores them as Emerald tells them to be quiet. Sapphire smiles before bouncing about and waiting for things to get underway.

Zack: The last time we saw Sapphire here, she was having significant trouble with Gwen Margolis on our last show. Tonight though, she can take out whatever anger she has for her opponent…for merely trying to help her not get screwed over in a match.

Claire: I’m sure Sapphire will be looking to build momentum and pick up a huge statement win tonight against one of her Global Wars rivals for a Diamond Championship match. She will need to use all her talents to get the job done tonight, but I wouldn’t write her off after a pair of strong showings already.

The beat of “Black Sheep” by Metric kicks in and Aviva Miller busts out onto the ramp with her fist held high in the air, her head bobbing to the music. As the bass drops, she heads down the ramp and slaps hands with every fan she can reach. Instead of going right to the ring, she takes a trip around it and gives out more high fives before finally swinging herself onto the apron.

Lexi: From Los Angeles via Jerusalem, this is Aviva Miller!

Aviva grins and ducks between the ropes into the ring, but then turns back and balances herself with one foot on the bottom rope and the other on the middle, waving her hand in a circle to get another loud cheer from the crowd. With the fans sufficiently hyped up, Aviva heads to her corner and waits for the match to begin.

Zack: Out of all the new signings Future Shock has made, I think Aviva, the only Israeli female wrestler I have ever heard of, may have the most potential to realize. She’s still somewhat new, but she has all the tools to go as far as she can see herself reaching.

Claire: You’re exactly right, Zack. Aviva showed a lot of different skills and techniques when she met Ashley Marie Chase on her debut. There’s already a lot of strings to her bow and if she can develop those, then she’ll be a multi dimensional threat to anyone on the roster.

Referee Kevin Fisk calls for the bell to start the match after Lexi is out of the ring, and Sapphire immediately goes after Aviva before she makes it out of the corner. Taylor darts towards her, and only catches a drop toe hold from Miller that sends her face first into the top turnbuckle instead. She quickly grabs her head, and starts pounding it into that same turnbuckle before using a side Russian leg sweep to bring her down to the mat. Miller kips back to her feet as Sapphire is starting to get up, only to spin her around to deliver dual-handed chops across her chest. Each slap resonates through the arena before Aviva pulls her into a codebreaker and then the cover!

Zack: Wow!! That Pearl Harbor job didn’t work…and Aviva’s already looking for the win!

ONE!!!

TWOOOO!!!

Sapphire kicked out in time, and quickly rolled out of the ring. Her manager, Emerald, darted around to talk with her as Aviva was back to her feet in the ring, bouncing on the balls of her feet ready to continue.

Claire: Back to the drawing board for Sapphire after she had almost the worst start possible tonight. Let’s see if Emerald has a better plan B for her because Aviva certainly looks up for it tonight.

The manager gave her some advice as Sapphire rubbed her chest from where all those chops landed. She finally hopped back onto the apron with Emerald still talking to her. That turned out to be a bad idea as Aviva used the top rope to slingshot her opponent back into the ring. Taylor landed hard on the mat, and Aviva was already taking off for the far side. When the musician got back to her feet, she turned around into a spinning back elbow to the jaw. It stumbled Sapphire backwards a step, and she tried to return fire with a roundhouse kick. But Miller used a matrix evasion, falling backwards into a bridge as Sapphire’s foot sailed over her. Aviva got back up before she could regain her balance, and sent her flying with a leg hook Saito suplex.

Claire: Sapphire can’t lay a glove on Miller tonight and she’s being made to pay for it. This is highly impressive from Aviva. She it certainly laying down a marker for everyone in the Diamond Championship hunt right now.

Zack: Aviva is showing flexibility the likes of which we haven’t seen since Mara Werth was on the Future Shock roster. And she’s quickly becoming my odds on favorite to win that triple threat on the 26th.

Sapphire got back to her feet, and turned into a running knee to the body from Aviva. The israeli beauty hooked her head for a float over DDT, and rolled across her to make the cover with a leg hook.

Zack: Another cover! If she gets the win and never gets touched, I’m ready to give her the title shot tonight!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NOO!!

Sapphire kicked out, and once more rolled to the floor. She pounded her hands on the mat as Emerald joined her, and tried to calm her down. Once more, Aviva was back on her feet in the ring staying loose as she kept bouncing on her feet.

Claire: Back to the drawing board for a plan C…though Aviva has had an answer for everything that has been thrown at her so far.

After another short conference on the floor and the referee having gotten to five in the ring, Sapphire hopped back onto the apron. Aviva went to get her again, but this time, Taylor jammed a thumb in her eye as she got close. She raked her face along the top rope, sending Aviva back a couple steps holding her eyes. Sapphire rejoined her in the ring, and grabbed two handfuls of hair to send her to the mat with a hair mare. The crowd turned quickly with Sapphire in control, and she pulled Aviva’s arms behind her as she was trying to get up. Several stomps landed on her back before a curb stomp sent her face down onto the canvas. Emerald praised her from the floor, telling her how brilliant that was as Sapphire gave the booing fans an obscene gesture.

Zack: Sapphire’s got in control here, and used an eye gouge to do it. Either way, she should stay on her opponent and save her feelings for this crowd till after the bell rings….especially after how this match began.

Claire: Yeah, at the moment she’s just going to give Aviva time to recuperate. If I’d gotten my ass kicked the way Sapphire was getting hers kicked, I’d be doing everything I could to make sure it didn’t happen again.

Aviva rolled towards the ropes to help her up, but Taylor pressed her neck against the bottom by standing on her back to choke her. Fisk got to four before she stepped off, and was then pulled to her feet. Sapphire landed a trio of kidney blows before shoving her chest first into the nearest corner. She followed that up with a few shoulder thrusts into her lower back before yanking her out of the corner by the hair into a reverse DDT. One foot stomped against her face before she told the referee to count.

Zack: With a boot on her face? That’s your cover?!

ONE!!!

T-NOO.

Aviva had no trouble at all getting her shoulder off the mat, and Sapphire started a Garvin somp after that with the last stomp another blow to the face.

Claire:  I don’t think we accuse Sapphire of lacking confidence, can we? Those stomps are vicious and targeting every part of her body right there.

She pulled Aviva back to her feet, and used a hard Irish whip to send her into the far corner. Sapphire charged in after her with one running knee after another. She made three laps around the ring, each ending with a knee to the chest before the fourth was a jumping knee strike to her jaw. Miller collapsed to the mat as Sapphire headed up to the top rope, executing a somersault senton for the cover with the leg hooked this time.

Zack: Now that’s a serious cover! When she wants to, Sapphire can really turn up the aggression!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!

T-NO.

Miller kicked out again, causing Sapphire to get to her feet once more. The musician dropped to the mat, applying a figure four necklock on her opponent. Fisk dropped down in front of the Israeli beauty to check for a submission.

Claire: You’re right about that Zack and now we’re seeing that Sapphire is very capable of controlling a match when she wants to. Aviva’s trapped her and needs to find a way to get out of this submission.

Fisk checked quickly, and didn’t get the answer he needed to stop the match. Meanwhile, Sapphire was leaning back and propped up on her elbows as she tried to tighten the pressure her legs were causing. The referee checked again, still not an affirmative answer. At this point, Sapphire laid down on the mat and stretched her hands out to Emerald. The manager pulled them from the outside, and Aviva was really choking now. Fisk looked over to see Sapphire merely propped up on her elbows as she asked “What?”

Claire: Well that’s one way a manager can help you out and you can gain a little extra leverage in a submission…but Fisk almost caught them in the act. You think he believes Sapphire’s innocent act?

Zack: I wouldn’t trust her as far as I could throw her across the street personally. He seems to be onto something being amiss though, you’re right.

He moved back around to check with Aviva, and Sapphire stretched her hands out again when he was out of eyeshot. Emerald grabbed her hands once more. This time as soon as Aviva was really gasping for breath, Fisk caught them and immediately raised his hand to call for the bell. Sapphire let go immediately, and asked him what happened to the four count as she got back to her feet.

Zack: I like that way of doing things, Claire. Who needs a five count?! Just threaten to call for the bell, that gets a much quicker response.

Claire: It certainly does. After all, both of them know the rules. Plus there is an element of referee’s discretion and Fisk is one of our most experienced officials; a veteran of many a pay-per-view and  main events.

Emerald hopped up on the apron, arguing with him that he didn’t give her a five count and Sapphire joined in with her manager. But the referee didn’t back down at all, reminding them he has full discretion. As this went on, Aviva was getting her wind back and starting to pull herself together. The fans started getting louder as a result. Sapphire looked to the crowd, only to get spun around by Aviva who began unloading with a flurry of right hands to the jaw. She fired her across to the far side before Aviva bounced off the near side…knocking Emerald off the apron at the same time and rebounding into a sling blade clothesline to the musician. She rubbed her neck as she was still trying to get her wind back as the crowd was behind her again.

Claire: Aviva got her chance to recover and now she’s turned the tide in this match. Sapphire might be regretting getting involved with arguing with the official.

Zack: I’ve never seen a wrestler win an argument with a referee in all the years I’ve been doing this, but I still see it often.

Sapphire struggled to get to her feet just as Miller bounced off the ropes for a running kneelift to her face. It sent her stumbling backwards before Aviva scooped her up for a Death Valley driver. The crowd was getting louder now as she hit the ropes again, only for Emerald to hook her foot. Aviva stopped herself from falling, and reached through the ropes to grab the manager by her nose!

Zack: Emerald’s got her hands dirty one time too many for Aviva’s tastes….and OW!! She got her by the nose!

Claire: Emerald’s going to look like Pinocchio after this thanks to Aviva and honestly, I don’t think the manager has anyone but herself to blame for what may happen to her tonight.

Fisk ducked between the ropes to try to break it up, which gave Sapphire an opening to kick Miller between the legs. It caused her to let go before Sapphire followed up with an inverted facebuster. She darted towards the corner to make her way to the top rope, while Emerald was holding her nose with a pained expression.

Sapphire launched herself into the air with her springboard twisting senton that landed right on Aviva’s chest. She hooked both legs for the cover as Fisk slid into position to make the count.

Zack: She calls that the SHINING LIGHT!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

The referee called for the bell as Sapphire bolted to her feet, and demanded her hand be raised. Fisk did just that as Emerald joined her, raising her other hand while still holding her nose with the other.

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall………………SAPPHIRE TAYLOR!!

Claire: Aviva allowed herself to get distracted by Emerald’s antics and it opened the door for Sapphire to apply the finishing touches and pick up the win.

The fans continued to show Taylor nothing but disdain, which didn’t seem to faze her in the slightest. She leaned down telling Aviva that the title shot was hers and stepped over to kick dust behind her onto her opponent.

Zack: It was definitely a team effort to ensure Sapphire gets her first win in Future Shock. She’s got some momentum behind her now, and awaits Chase…and no doubt an even more prepared Aviva at Global Wars.

Claire: Sapphire will have a lot of confidence heading into Global Wars and I’m sure she’ll be looking to secure herself a shot at the Diamond Championship. But, given what we’ve seen tonight, I’m not sure I’d want to get in front of an even more fired up Aviva Miller.

The musician left the ring with her manager, pelted with boos as they headed to the back. The show then went to a commercial break.

Harder than Diamond

The show cuts elsewhere inside the 1stBank Center, and we find the reigning and defending Diamond Champion, River Campbell, and her outspoken and often eccentric manager, DOC. For whatever reason, DOC looks particularly amped up.

DOC: Broomfield, Colorado!!

He says loudly, causing the fans in the arena to make some noise for their hometown mention.

DOC: Let’s hear some love for your favorite all-time Diamond Champion! The one and only River Campbell!

As requested, the crowd gives River some noise as they see her on the video wall.

DOC: Champ, welcome to Broomfield, Colorado!

River: It’s great to be here. Colorado is a great place to be and I’m glad that I get to be here tonight. It’s my first time in Broomfield, but I’m honoured to be here tonight. I’m sure DOC probably has some really interesting facts to share with the world too.

DOC: Oh yeah, DOC always does his research. Do you realize we’ve got about a tenth of the city here tonight? There’s over 6400 here, and only about 74,000 that even live here. And 12.9% of them are senior citizens. Any old people in the house? Wait, don’t be shouting. I don’t want you to hurt yourself. Over half of the population has a Bachelor’s Degree, And the biggest chunk of the population…Irish! Coming in just behind people of color which is 26%.

River: Okay…well not everywhere can be the greenest city in the world, but at least you guys here are pretty well educated. Probably why you have excellent taste. Probably why all guys are behind me and have me as your number one Diamond Champion. I’m sure you’ve all stopped off at the merchandise stands and bought my t-shirts and posters and all things River….and if you haven’t then I’m sure you can go ahead and stop by on the way on out.

DOC: Now that we got all the fun facts out of the way…or at least the facts..let’s talk some shop. DOC is here to tell you on the last episode of Future Shock, River here got partnered with the worst partner she’s ever had in her life. And she’s had to team with some real….interesting people. Now I know I picked Cait, but I honestly thought she’d be better than Ashley Chase or Jacqui Minogue. Clearly DOC was wrong. First time it’s happened in 23 years! But I promise I won’t ever agree to let her team with Cait Flanagan again.

River: Well…I mean…she’s certainly right up there as one of the worst. At least she didn’t hurl me throw a locker room door. Which is possibly the ONLY plus point in Cait’s favour. The whole “follow my lead and we’ll win thing” that she tried to preach about five minutes before the match started…and not having the right glove…

River took a very deep breath, letting out slowly.

River: Honestly, DOC, next time, I’ll just go it alone. I think that might be for the best…especially if fireball girl, the wrestling fundamentalist and anyone who is happy to do all the devious, underhand bullshit that she usually pulls. I’ll just take my chances by myself if that’s okay. Adam, Brianna…if you’re listening, please, dear God, please…if you only ever grant one request of mine, please make it this one.

DOC: Don’t worry, DOC has everything under control. I will give Cait credit for one thing though after seeing that match. Boy, she sure can take one hell of a beating. I mean Alessandra wrecked her first chance she got, didn’t she?

River: Oh Hell yeah…and are in the least bit surprised? She had that coming. In fact I’m surprised Alessandra waited till we got to the ring and didn’t just jump her in the back, drag her down the entrance ramp and proceed to … what’s the phrase? Beat her like a government mule? Remind me to NEVER annoy Alessandra like that. Not even come close to getting under her skin and riling her up. I’m a tough cookie…but not even I want to have her lay the hands in the way she was doing to Cait two weeks ago. That was brutal. Even in a wrestling ring I think it was verging on a crime being committed.

DOC: Now that brings us to Nadia. Now Nadia, we know there were some tensions during that match with you and the champ. And that’s to be expected since you’re coming after her title at Global Wars in just 4 weeks from now. And DOC knows you and Alessandra plan to take home all kinds of gold that night. We just want you to know no hard feelings. In the heat of the moment, these things happen. And at Global Wars, the night isn’t gonna start off like you and Alessandra hope. And there won’t be any hard feelings there either.

River: You see, Nadia, I’m under no illusions when it comes to what I’m going to be up against at Global Wars. I know that my night starts off by facing you. One of the quickest, one of the hardest hitting and one of the best all around wrestlers in the business. I know that you’ve not got the best record when it comes to singles matches…but that you are more than capable to turning that all around at Global Wars when you challenge me for the Diamond Championship. I know my night ends with a match against Arabella who will be straight off a tag team contest against Latina Heat and a completely, totally fresh wrecking ball…a kinda human Dalek or an honest to God Terminator in Jacqui Minogue all vying for the Global Wars crime. I know that I have a chance that night to make history as the first ever American wrestler to win Global Wars. And that is important to me; that something that I wanted to do ever since Adam Grant asked on Twitter who wanted in and who wanted to represent their country.

There was a nod of the head from the musician as she paused for a moment.

River: But there is no chance…absolutely none at all…that I’m going to be holding anything back when I face you. There is no way that I will sacrifice this Diamond Championship just to slightly improve my odds in the Global Wars match later in the night. I will come into our match at Global Wars Nadia and I will give you everything I’ve got. I’ll throw everything that I have…everything that it takes to put you down for the three count and to walk out of that ring still the Diamond Championship. Even if that means that later than night I’m coming out to face Jacqui and Arabella on a stretcher or looking like I’m auditioning to be the villain, the title character in the latest reboot…reimagining…or whatever…of the Mummy franchise.

DOC: River will walk into Global Wars as the Diamond Champion. She will leave Global Wars as the Diamond Champion AND the winner of Global Wars just like your tag partner did last year. This is a woman who was itching to fight despite having a baseball bat taken to her ribs. Not to mention, she’s faced a lot of high flyers just like you. She’s won every time. She’s faced Jacqui before when Minogue was mad about her being a musician. I…don’t think you ever faced Arabella, did you? Not important, she’ll be ready for all four of you at Global Wars.

River: Four weeks will undoubtedly be one of the toughest nights of my wrestling career. I know that there are three of the best standing in between me and what I hope to achieve; the history I want to make. I know that I’ll have to be damn near superhuman. That in many ways I’ll go to Hell and back. So be it. If that’s what I’ve got to do, I’ll do it. I’ll dance through the fires and the flames; I’ll spit in the eye of the devil. I’ll beat him with a fiddle in Georgia and I WILL leave Global Wars with the Diamond Championship over my shoulder and as the Global Wars Winner 2022.

DOC pats her on the back, and even buffs the Diamond title as the show cuts to a commercial break.

Get The Party Started

The next shot takes us…not inside the 1stBank Center in Broomfield. But instead, it’s earlier in the day as blue skies are seen overhead…as well as a hot air balloon. The camera zooms skyward before it switches to inside the balloon now. The city is far below, and the camera pans around to find a woman. The woman wore a wool hat and underneath it long pink hair draped down the woman’s back. She smiles as she looks around before her attention turns over to the camera. That woman is none other than new Future Shock signee Ashley Whitmore.

Ashley: Hello to everybody out there. Some might know me and some might not, but if you need an introduction I will be happy to share with all of you. My name is Ashley Whitmore and I am also known as 4.0 the Perfect Score. I can be seen up in the highlights doing amazing things and also at La Paloma’s wrestling school in Mexico. If i had to judge how my impact on Future Shock is going to end up being…

Ashley smirks as she reaches down and holds up a card that reads 10. She smiles as she looks into the camera.

Ashley: I would rate it a ten. It’s going to be superb and I hope I can take this company to new heights. It should be nothing less than that with my three Bs of Brains, Beauty, and Bounce! There needs to be plenty of bounce because I am going to bounce and skyrocket all the way to the top. As high as this balloon is, it's nothing compared to what I am aiming for!

Ashley smiles as the balloon begins to travel more.

Ashley: The sky is definitely the limit and I can’t wait to fly higher. As a matter of fact… I am gonna fly now!!!!

Ashley hits something on her phone and we can hear Gonna Fly Now from Rocky playing loudly from her speakers. She looks down notices how high she is because she actually shadow boxes a bit. A huge smile is brought to the camera as she speaks passionately.

Ashley: LET’S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!!!!!!!!

Then the show returns to the arena for the next match.

After the commercial break and a quick preview of the triple threat match at Global Wars, the show returns to the ring and Lexi begins her introductions.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish.

Zack: I’m not liking the Forever Champion’s chances tonight, Claire. She might prove me wrong, but that’s how I feel.

Claire: On paper this might be her biting off a little more than she can chew. BUT, with Kyle in her corner and their penchant for schemes, I’m not about to write her off. Just that it’s probably better than evens she leaves her tonight bleeding if she tries any funny business.

"Dangerous Woman" by Ariana Grande begins to play as two ladies in evening dresses walk out to the top of the rampway and unroll a red carpet.

Start what I finished

AMC steps out from the back wearing a beautiful flowing robe. Her manager Kyle Kilmeade follows closely behind her. AMC stops at the top of the ramp and slowly spins in a circle as Kyle applauds his client.

Don't need no hold up
Taking control of this kind of moment
I'm locked and loaded
Completely focused, my mind is open

Lexi: Coming down the aisle accompanied by Kyle Kilmeade and hailing from Beverly Hills, CA.   She is the FOREVER SVW AGGRESSION CHAMPION!!!!!!  “The Beverly Hills Socialite” A. M. C.!!!!!!!!!!

All that you got, skin to skin, oh my God
Don't ya stop, boy
Somethin' 'bout you makes me feel like a dangerous woman
Somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout you
Makes me wanna do things that I shouldn't

AMC slowly makes her way down the aisle and upon reaching the ring she walks up the steps, taking a moment to wipe her feet on the apron and removes her robe revealing her SVW Aggression Championship as Kyle gets on the apron and holds the ropes open.  AMC Slowly bends over to get in the ring giving Kyle a great view of her ass causing him to smirk. Once in the ring Kyle removes her championship and kisses her hand causing loud boos from the crowd. AMC then climbs the ropes and raises her title in the air to louder boos.

Zack: I’m getting tired of seeing her cart around that title like it’s still something that can be defended. Be that as it may, Ashley Marie Chase never met a shortcut she wouldn’t take. And she hired the perfect manager to compliment that fact. She said she was tired of breaking in rookies, that won’t be an issue here.

Claire: There aren’t many wrestlers more experienced than her opponent tonight. A woman who has reigned supreme over three hardcore wrestling divisions at once. That’s a testament to her toughness and her resilience. Ashley will need all of Kyle’s wit and underhandedness to survive this match.

The lights dim just before “Heavy” by The Glorious Sons starts playing throughout the arena.

Come heavy or don't come at all,
You leave your piece at home that's your call,
It never paid to be merciful,
Come heavy or don't come at all

The lights come up as the music rises and Ruby Tyler bursts through the curtain, running down the ramp and high-fiving fans along the way.

Come heavy or don't come at all,
Been here before and watched a better man fall
I smell the fear on you boy
Come heavy or don't come at all

Lexi: From Barstow, California, weighing in at one hundred forty pounds, she is the Huntress, RUBY! TYLER!

Tossing her jacket aside, Ruby turns to face the crowd and pumps her fist in the air before sliding underneath the bottom rope, grinning as she heads to her corner and climbs the turnbuckle, her head bobbing as the chorus plays out. Once the music fades, she hops down and turns, waiting for her opponent.

Zack: It’s been quite a while since Ruby Tyler was part of FFW. But when she came back, she wanted to be part of Future Shock! I think that says a lot about the talent on this roster. Ruby likes to fight a lot more than talk, and that’s another major difference between her and her opponent tonight.

Claire: It certainly is. I’m sure Ruby probably has one eye turned towards Charlotte Harker and the Anarchy Championship. A win tonight could certainly put her on the path towards that match.

Referee Melinda Davis called for the bell to start the match, and there was a clear bias towards the hardcore veteran. A “Ruby” chant rumbled through the arena as Ashley looked a little put out by it all. She leaned through the ropes, asking her manager to make them stop chanting Ruby’s name. He didn’t get much of a chance to reply before Ruby kicked the middle rope up against her chest. It stunned Chase before Ruby pulled her back into the ring, shoved her into the nearest corner, and started throwing a combination of punches and chops. A flurry of body shots landed in combination with a half dozen chops before Ruby finished it off with a bell clap followed by a belly to belly overhead suplex to the center of the ring.

Claire: I think that just goes to show that Ashley should be less concerned with what the fans are chanting and worry more about her opponent.

Zack: The last time we saw Ruby in a Future Shock ring was as the referee to crown the first Anarchy title. I’m positive that’s part of what brought her, but she’s giving Ashley the meat tenderizer treatment tonight.

Chase got back to her feet, but didn’t get a chance to turn around before an atomic drop sent her chest first into the corner. Ruby followed her in with a clothesline aimed at the back of her head. Chase’s head snapped forward before Ruby turned around, scooped her up by the arms and sent her flying again with a thrown crucifix powerbomb. Chase landed hard on the mat before Ruby dove onto her for the cover.

Zack: I’ve never seen her do that before!

ONE!!

TW-NOO!!

Ashley kicked out as the two was about to land, and Ruby quickly mounted her chest for repeated punches to her face. When she got to her feet again, the “Ruby” chants were even louder.

Claire: Tyler’s running the show tonight and Chase simply can’t find a way to get out of the blocks. This is impressive work from the former Ultraviolence Champion against the socialite.

She headed towards the corner, hopping up onto the second turnbuckle from the inside. Ruby launched herself into an elbow drop, but Chase rolled in the other direction and let her hit the mat instead. As the veteran clutched her elbow, that was when Ashley went to work by grabbing her arm and quickly applying a Fujiwara armbar submission.

Zack: Ashley created an opening for herself, and immediately capitalized on Ruby’s mistimed elbow drop. She may be obnoxious, but she knows what she’s doing in there.

Claire: This is a veteran move from Chase. Ruby with the slight error in there and this hold is going to make the most of that and try to make that arm useless.

Davis moved around to check for a submission, but Ruby showed no signs of wanting to stop the match at all. Ashley heard her refuse to quit, and leaned back a little further to make the pain even worse. The referee checked again, still not getting a response about ending the match yet. At this point, Ashley was getting impatient and pressed her arm against the mat to start driving her knee into elbow and shoulder in turns.

Zack: It’s going to take one hell of an effort, I think, to get Ruby to quit in a normal match with all the violence she’s felt through the years. That said, Ashley’s doing the smart thing here.

Claire: You’re right, Ruby might not quit and might be able to soak up the punishment like a sponge, but Ashley can certainly make sure that she can’t get power behind any blows she tries to land with that limb.

The Forever Champion grabbed her hand and rolled out of the ring, leaving Ruby inside as she wrapped her arm around the ring post with a swift movement. Another hard spike across the post landed before Ashley pulled the steps out a few inches and slid Ruby’s arm between them and the ring post. She flashed a brilliant smile to her manager before backing up a few steps, and charging the steps with a baseball slide to crush Ruby’s arm between them and the post. The noise resonated through the arena as Davis demanded she get back in the ring.

Claire: Chase is using everything that she can at ringside like a tag partner tonight and is really testing Ruby, looking to find out just how much damage she can endure.

Zack: She’s certainly flirting with getting a disqualification too. Davis has a short temper, and Ashley’s pushing it already.

Ashley rolled back into the ring to stop the count, and then back out again. She walked past her manager with a dazzling smile on her face as Ruby was trying to free her arm. Tyler managed to do that, but Ashley still grabbed it and snapped it across the apron of the ring. She then fed it under the apron before hopping up there herself to execute a double stomp to her shoulder. Ruby snatched her arm to her body, and rolled away from the apron in pain. A second later, the Forever Champion finally returned to the ring.

Zack: When she sees a weakness, Ashley is certainly relentless. And looking at that face, she is definitely feeling a lot more confident now.

Claire: I don’t blame her. She gone from being battered black and blue by one of the heaviest hitters in Future Shock to being in charge and her foe writhing in agony with an arm that she can really only use a club - and if she does, it’ll hurt her almost as much as it will Ashley.

Ruby got back to her feet, only for Ashley to grab that arm and deliver a pumphandle slam. She bounced off the near side with a knee drop to her shoulder, and scooped her up again. This time, Chase dropped her with a hammerlock slam before going for the cover.

Zack: More and more damage, and Ashley’s ready to go 3-0 in Future Shock!

ONE!!!

TWO!

Tyler kicked out in time before the three, and Ashley sat her up to apply an overhand keylock submission next. Ruby’s face grimaced in pain as the socialite leaned into the hold to get that much more pressure.

Claire: Everything Ashley is pulling out of the locker is targeted on that arm and right now, this is like watching Sophia Pike when she was at her peak.

Ruby reached up with the other hand, and managed to grab her hair a couple times until the referee made her let go. Chase continued to apply the pressure for a few seconds more until Ruby began trying to stretch her leg closer to the bottom rope. She wasn’t that far away, but the more she slid down to reach it, it caused more pressure on her arm. But she made it, and got the break after a four count. She pulled herself to her feet near the ropes, and Ashley darted towards her…only to get a back body drop that sent her over the top rope to the floor.

Zack: Ruby finally got a reprieve, and not a moment too soon. She better start turning it on before Chase gets back inside.

Claire: It’s bought her vital seconds. If she can ignore the pain then it’s an opportunity to plan out her next steps and try to determine just what she can do in this match with just one good arm.

She moved away from the ropes as the referee counted Ashley. The Forever Champion was helped back up by Kyle before she rolled back into the ring. She immediately tried to grab that arm again, but Ruby sidestepped her. Ashley caught her with a spinning elbow to the jaw though, and whipped her into the far corner. She followed her in with a running European uppercut before slapping her across the face. That was when the mood changed. Ruby turned her head back to face her….with a smile on her face. Ashley slapped her again, and the smile grew wider. Ruby told her “Do it again”.

Zack: Uh oh….you just don’t slap another wrestler across the face. It doesn’t end well… I …I wouldn’t take that dare, Ashley!

Claire: It’s a real talent to be able to tell when you’ve made a mistake and recognise not to do it again. Instead, we might be seeing Ashley about to treble down on it. The smile should be a warning to her.

Ashley never got the chance to do it a third time before Ruby grabbed her by the head with the good arm, and began pounding her face into the top turnbuckle. The fans counted off 10 times but Tyler added on another four. It sent the socialite staggering out of the corner, and Ruby delivered a rising uppercut under her chin. The ropes were the only thing keeping Chase from falling down, and the “Huntress” scooped her up over her shoulders with that arm to deliver a Samoan drop.

Claire: The Forever Champion got her bell rung!! She was seeing lil tweety birds circling her head when she got hoisted onto Ruby’s shoulders!!

Zack: I think that slap to the face woke Ruby up….and what’s she doing now?

Ruby rolled out to the floor, and pulled up the apron. She retrieved a kendo stick, and twirled it in her hand before rolling back into the ring. Davis stayed a safe distance and warned her as Ashley was starting to sit up on her knees.

Zack: This isn’t a No DQ match….but Ruby may not care anymore! These fans sure don’t, and they want to see her send Chase’s head into the fourth row.

Claire: We know Ruby has one eye on the Anarchy Championship. This might be a way that she underlines that desire….and, not going to lie, gets her a whole lot of support amongst the Future Shock faithful.

With the kendo stick in her good hand, she tapped the mat with it and seemed to be measuring the socialite. Ruby leaned back to swing it, but it whiffed over Ashley’s head when Kyle pulled his client by her feet out of the ring. That got many boos as Ashley got her wits about her, took Kyle’s hand, and started heading up the ramp. The referee started counting as Ruby tossed the stick over the top rope, but Chase and her manager were gone by this point and the bell sounded.

Zack: Ashley didn’t want anymore, and I don’t blame her, especially when Ruby’s armed. And they got the hell out of here.

Claire: I think the referee has thrown out the match, because Ashley isn't gonna fight Ruby with a weapon in her hand. And Chase gets out there without suffering too much damage or taking any shots from the kendo stick. The Forever Champion survives to head to Global Wars and compete for a shot at the Diamond Championship.

Ruby shrugged her shoulders while she made it clear that wouldn't be the last time she saw Ashley. She stepped out and took a seat on the apron facing the ramp.

Zack: Chase disrespected Ruby one time too many, and the “Huntress” doesn’t play around in there. I have a feeling these two may meet again someday, but not if the Forever Champion gets a say in it.

Claire:  Credit to Chase for the way in which she was laser focused on trying to pick apart Ruby’s arm and if she’d stuck with it, it could have been a successful strategy. But she pushed it a little too far…and yeah, I don’t think she wants any part of a pissed off and weaponised Ruby Tyler. She might be looking to stay away from her from now on.

Ruby slid down to the floor, and started to head towards the back as her music played. Future Shock then went to a commercial for FFW All Access streaming.

The Innovator

Future Shock reporter, Sara Wilson, is seen standing at the interview position backstage. But unlike usual for her, she’s standing alone.

Sara: I was supposed to talk with the returning Fiona O’Dalaigh, but….

She glances both directions and back to the camera.

Sara: She didn’t meet me here like we agreed. So let’s go back to the–

Sara stops one of the production assistants as he walks past her.

Sara: Hey, have you seen Fiona? I’m sure you’ve seen her. Stacked redhead…probably talking herself up to anyone who’ll listen…

PA: Oh yeah, I saw her. In the locker room, you can’t miss her. Only door that’s open.

The assistant headed off camera, and Sara shrugged her shoulders.

Sara: Alright then, let’s go find her.

Sara headed down the hallway that the PA pointed out to her, seeing every door shut but one. Just like he said. She headed towards it, and noticed it was the locker room set aside for the Gold Standard. But only one of them was competing tonight, and that match had just ended.

She pushed the door open a little more, and there she found the woman in question, sitting with one leg crossed over the other and dressed like she was gonna be clubbing before the night was over.

Sara: Excuse me, I thought we had an interview scheduled. Are you sure you should be in here?

Fiona props an umbrella open as she twirls it around in front of Sara. She yawns in return before shaking her head.

Fiona: First of all I would prefer it if you didn’t come in here sending your little spit droplets in my direction. It’s a good thing I always have an umbrella handy because sometimes one just needs to protect themself from the raining bullshit. Also interviews work on terms and not the other way around. I got things to do and people to see and you just aren’t one of them.

Fiona shakes her head before she speaks some more.

Fiona: Anyway seeing as you are here, what can I help you with, because I have the feeling you aren’t going to leave until i somewhat appease you.

Sara: Look, I only have two things I think people want to know since you came back to wrestling a few weeks ago. The first question is what brought you back? No one has seen you around FFW since about 7 years ago.

Fiona rolls her eyes as smiles in return.

Fiona: Well had you followed the Doppler Radar I believe that is a question that is easily answered. However seeing as I am the only Meteorologist in this room or even in this company. I do believe that’s a question that only I can answer, and right now I really don’t feel like answering it just yet. I feel like that won’t do you any justice though so all I can say is that you can expect expect my “rain” of terror to begin. It will be a torrential downpour and everybody will get swept up in the blizzard that is my return. So get your rain boots, get your shovels, get your mittens or whatever will protect you because the storm is coming. A storm that seems gloomy with heavy clouds of moonsaults upon moonsaults. You do realize I innovated them right?!

Sara: Uh huh. We can get into that another time. The other question is why are you actually in here? This isn’t a locker room set aside for you.

Fiona smiles as she looks back at Sara.

Fiona: Well why would one wait in a locker room Sara?! Obviously I have some business that I need to attend to. When I handle that business you and the rest of the world will find out. Perhaps waiting to see what plays out can be a really good thing at times.

Sara: Fine. But when Kyle gets back here, he’s probably not gonna…not my monkeys, not my circus.

Sara throws her hands up and exits out of the locker room, leaving the camera on the waiting Fiona before the show goes to commercial.

The show returns from the commercial break one last time tonight, and finds Lexi standing in the center of the ring.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is your Future Shock main event!

Zack: We’re about to see another preview of things to come at Global Wars on April 26th on FFW All Access. At least, Francesca can say she was the main event in her debut on Future Shock, but with it being her first singles match, this could be an uphill battle.

Claire: That’s a fair statement to make. We know Angelina is the reigning Nova Champion, happy to face all comers and like I said at the top of the show, she had the best year of her career so far last year. But if Francesca can pull off a MAJOR upset tonight, it’ll put Garcia on the fast track right to the top of Future Shock.

As Flo Rida’s “Good Feeling” starts to play, the video wall shows a girl sitting on a stool, in the corner of a training ring, breathing deeply as she looks down at her wrapped hands. Suddenly she popped up to her feet with a smile on her face and charged towards the camera. The screen went black and as the song started to pick up the pace, the girl from the video charged out from the back and straight into a cartwheel, following it up with a no-handed cartwheel and used the momentum to go straight into a somersault. She stuck the landing perfectly and started to dance down the entrance ramp.  Daniela followed behind her, applauding her.

As she reached the ring, she skipped up the steps and onto the ring apron, quickly stepped forwards before she launched herself into a backflip, landing in the splits. She pumped her fists into the air while in the splits and slid backwards underneath the bottom rope. Rolling backwards she came up to her feet, leaping into the air, arms stretched out straight to the side and kicked up her feet to touch her palms. Meanwhile Daniela took up her position in her friends corner.

Lexi: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome from Havana, Cuba by way of Miami, Florida, accompanied by her tag team partner, Daniela Ruiz, please welcome… “FUEGO FURIOSA” FRANCESCA GARCIA!!

The girl moved towards her corner, pacing and skipping back and forth, wanting the match to get underway.

Zack: Francesca brought her best friend and tag partner with her, that being Daniela Ruiz, who most recently tried to steal Arabella’s jacket a few weeks ago. I think this might be one of the most high flying matches we’ve ever seen.

Claire: In her limited appearances in SVW, Garcia did show a penchant for leaving her feet and even in her entrance she’s shown off her gymnastics skills. To say these girls turned up in Broomfield just over a week ago for the Meet & Greet, they don’t seem to have endeared themselves to many here in attendance tonight, do they?

Zack: This is the safest the belongings in the locker room have been all night.

The stage is bathed in pink light as “Raise Your Glass” by Pink starts playing. After a moment, Angelina Fantastica comes out in a pair of baggy black pants and a pink cropped tank top, her hair tied back in two French braids, threaded through with silver ribbons. She makes her way up to the ring, bopping to the music and grinning at the fans in attendance. Using the bottom rope, she pulls herself up onto the apron and smiles for the camera before gripping the top rope and backflipping easily into the ring.

Lexi: Repping Staten Island, New York, it’s the Shaolin Stunna, the OG, the prodigal daughter of Future Shock, the one and only reigning Future Shock Nova Champion…. Angelina Fantastica!

Angelina looks at Lexi and then climbs the turnbuckle, raising her fist in the air while facing the crowd before jumping down, turning to face her opponent.

Zack: If anyone doesn’t need an introduction, it’s Angelina. She’s been a fantastic Nova Champion. But there is an interesting wrinkle to their Global Wars match, Claire. I spoke with Adam earlier this afternoon, and Arabella requested their tag match go on just before the Global Wars match she will also have that night. Why? Because she didn’t want to cool down and warm up again. What do you make of that?

Claire: I can understand the thinking behind that Zack and we’ve seen it before. Remember Carys? She preferred to go on as late as possible when she competed in tournaments too and that always seemed to pay off in the biggest way possible for her.

Zack: Do you think that might put a bit more on the back of Angelina here? I’m thinking she may try to do most of the work herself during that match to help her partner.

Claire: It might and it wouldn’t surprise me. I’m sure she’d love to give her tag partner the best chance possible to continue England’s success in the Global Wars series - especially as Arabella will be competing against a totally fresh Jacqui Minogue, something which surely makes the Australian the favourite going into the finale and against River who will have had time to recover and regroup.

Referee Malcolm Parks called for the bell, and Angelina kept her eyes glued on Francesca as she loosened up in the corner. Daniela applauded her partner, and cheered her on before she went to the center and offered Angelina a handshake. The Nova Champion moved forward, and eyed that gesture cautiously, while Dani on the outside tried to rally the fans behind her partner. That didn’t go very well at all though, only causing them to chant for Angelina.

Zack: It’s gonna be a hard sell for Daniela to get this crowd behind her partner, and probably an even harder sell for Francesca to get Angelina to trust her with this handshake.

Claire: Yeah, it takes a special type of person to root for a pair of petty sneaky thieves. But you never know, this is the first time Latina Heat have been in action on Future Shock, they could win people over.

Angelina reached out, and took her hand. She stayed on guard as Francesca shook hands…and did nothing else. That seemed to surprise the Nova Champion, and Dani turned back to the crowd trying to rally them again after the show of sportsmanship. Francesca clapped for her opponent, telling her how much she appreciated the trust and told her good luck. Dani once again tried to use that as a reason for the fans to get behind her tag partner.

Zack: Angelina was ready for something to go wrong, and it didn’t. And Dani, meanwhile, is still trying to use every gesture to win over the fans. I don’t know about you, Claire, but I’d still be on my guard.

Claire: Yeah, but at least we can credit Francesca with not trying to do something despicable. Who knows? Maybe that’ll help throw Angelina off a little bit and give the Latina an opening.

They then started to circle before locking up in the center of the ring. Neither woman possessed any great strength over the other, and they pushed back and forth into a stalemate. Angelina finally broke the tie-up, and Francesca gave her a thumbs up for the effort. Dani, of course, applauded and asked the crowd to show some love for the effort. They tied up a second time, and it was Angelina who dug in a little deeper and started to get some traction as she pushed Francesca back into the ropes this time. The New Yorker gave a clean break before Francesca clutched her hand to her chest. Both Parks and Angelina looked a bit confused as the newcomer said she felt her top tear. She asked for Parks to keep Angelina back for a second so she could check it.

Zack: Well this is a first. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a match get halted because someone’s gear ripped, but here we are. Parks can’t really help her with it, we may need another female out here to assist.

Claire: Or at least someone to bring her out a t-shirt before we get a full on Janet Jackson moment here.

Dani called the referee over to her, and told him she’d go get something for her to wear. And as that conversation went on, Francesca pulled a pair of brass knucks from her top and nailed Angelina with it! It staggered the champion backwards before she landed two more quick shots to the jaw, and used a snapmare takeover to bring Angelina to the mat with a rear chinlock. She rolled the knucks behind her, where Dani darted around the ring and put them in her jeans. Parks inquired about the top with a curious look, and Francesca told him it was a false alarm.

Claire: Well…that’s one way to sort out your wardrobe issues, I guess and she’s certainly put Fantastica on the back foot with a couple of hard shots. We might need a dentist too.

Zack: We may need all female referees for checking for hidden objects. Take a good look there, Malcolm. How many people have you seen dazed due to a rear chinlock?

Francesca didn’t keep the hold applied long though. Instead she pulled her arms behind her, and began driving her knee into Angelina’s back repeatedly. Six shots landed in a row before she took off for the far side, and came back with a low dropkick to the chest to put her down. She immediately went for the cover with a loose leg hook.

Zack: This might be a bit premature, but we’ll find out!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Angelina kicked out as the two was coming down, and Francesca made a point of grinding her forearm against the champion’s head before getting back to her feet. The debutant took off for the ropes again, this time using a baseball slide to send Angelina through the ropes to the outside.

Claire: Angelina’s got a lot of fight left in after those brass knucks shots but Francesca is showing good instincts here to stay on top of the Nova Champion.

Francesca asked the referee for the time elapsed as Dani retrieved those knucks from her jeans. She rounded the corner with them on her hand, walking past Angelina with a quick uppercut with them to her abdomen as she was trying to get back into the ring. Dani quickly darted around to the other side of the ring when the referee came back with the time elapsed Francesca had asked for. Fantastica held her stomach with a withering glare from her eyes as she climbed back onto the apron.

Zack: If you didn’t know better, you’d think this was a tag team match, wouldn’t you? Those knucks hurt anywhere they land: from your jaw to your midsection.

Claire: Honestly, Zack, I don’t think we’ve ever really seen these two apart, have we? They’re as thick as thieves and are showing us first hand why they’re going to be a handful in the tag division here.

Francesca moved to the ropes, and sat on the middle rope to invite Angelina back into the ring. The Nova Champion stared at the smiling opponent…..and darted down the apron with a running clothesline that knocked her into the ring. The fans got louder now as Angelina stepped through the ropes, and pulled Fran to her feet to start unloading with hard right hands to the side of her head. The crowd got louder as she whipped her across to the far corner, and followed her in with a splash. Angelina snatched a handful of her hair to deliver a one-handed bulldog out of the corner after that.

Zack: I don’t think Angelina’s buying the sweet and innocent act anymore. They may have only succeeded in pissing her off!

Claire: It’s fair to say that the Nova Champion has learned real quick here that you can’t trust either of these girls and it’s best not to give them a chance to cut corners if she can help it,

Francesca got to her feet, only to get driven back into the corner before Angelina started kicking away at her body. Multiple kicks landed, causing Francesca to fall to a seat against the corner before Fantastica took off. She bounced off the far side into a leaping meteora to Francesca’s chest before yanking her by the foot out of the corner to make a cover.

Zack: In another time and place, you’d call that stomping a mudhole! Angelina’s going for the win right now!

ONE!!!

TW-NOO!!

Francesca kicked out before the two struck, and Dani complained to the referee about hair pulling in the cover. Angelina nearly kicked her between the ropes before she avoided it with a step backwards.

Claire: Shame she missed with that kick. If Dani’s seeing hair pulling from that vantage point, a boot to the skull might’ve helped straighten out her vision a little bit.

Francesca got back to her feet when Angelina was going after her partner near the ropes, and surprised her when she turned around with a throat thrust. It choked the champion for a moment, and Francesca ran up the ropes beside her to deliver a tornado DDT to drive her into the mat. She quickly bounced back to her feet, and headed for the near side. Once more, she bounded up to the top turnbuckle to fall backwards into a coffin drop onto Angelina before making the cover.

Zack: Francesca is quick as they come, and that had to have knocked whatever wind was left in her after getting hit in the throat!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH=NOPE.

Angelina got her shoulder up before the three count, and Fran made it back to her feet. Dani told Lexi to go ahead and ring the bell, because that was a three count. But the ring announcer declined.

Claire: When you’ve got the speed Francesca is showing, you can turn a match on its head in a heartbeat. It’s just getting yourself that heartbeat of time to start to exploit it and we know Angelina is as tough as they come.

Francesca pulled the champion back to her feet, peppering her with forearms to the side of her head before she whipped her across to the far corner. Fantastica landed chest first, and stumbled backwards in pain. Garcia took off towards her, catching her with a backstabber and flipping her over face down on the mat. She got back to her feet, and fist bumped Dani on the outside, who once again tried to get the fans behind her partner. Once again, it didn’t work.

Claire: Ten out of ten for effort from Dani, but I think she could be here all night and still not coax these fans to cheer for her or her partner.

Zack: I think she lost the crowd before they even got out here, honestly. Francesca should focus on her opponent, she can appreciate her own work after the match is over.

When Angelina started to get up, Francesca put a stop to that with a punt to her ribs, almost exactly where Dani struck her earlier with the brass knucks. Fantastica crumpled to all fours as Garcia took off for the ropes again. She rebounded quickly, and tried to execute a Fameasser…but Angelina rolled out of her reach and she landed on her butt the hard way. The fans started chanting for the Nova Champion again as Fran pressed a hand against her lower back, still suffering the impact as Angelina made it back to a vertical base.

Claire: There is very little give in the mat and that landing will have sent one heck of a shockwave right up and down Francesca’s spine - a bit like if you fell off a ladder at home.

Zack: I’m guessing there won’t be a fist bump after that anytime soon. And what’s worse for her? Angelina’s up again!

Francesca didn’t have a chance to get back to her feet before Angelina started firing kicks into her chest repeatedly. She finished off the flurry with a back heel kick that landed flush on her jaw. It toppled Garcia to the mat, and Angelina headed for the corner herself. She got halfway up, and looked to see where Francesca was before launching herself off the top rope with a corkscrew senton followed by a cover!

Zack: Francesca’s not the only one who can fly! That might do it for the Nova Champion!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NOO!!!

Garcia kicked out before the three came down, and Angelina yanked her back to her feet. She hoisted her onto her shoulders for a GTS that landed perfectly. The newcomer collapsed to the mat, and Fantastica headed to the next corner.

Claire: I thought the back heel kick to the jaw had to be a knockout shot…but that knee strike definitely is! Angelina’s looking to add an exclamation point here and Francesca’s singles career is getting off a losing start tonight!

Fantastica came off the top rope with an elbow drop that landed perfectly on contact before she hooked both legs for the cover. But there was no count…..except for the fans starting to count the fall themselves while Dani was on the apron flirting with the referee.

Fans: ONE!!! TWO!!! THREE!!!!!

Claire: Goddamnit Parks!!! Even if she’s giving you digits, they’re probably wrong!!

And they kept counting.

Fans: FOUR!! FIVE!! SIX!!!

Finally, Parks turned around and dove into position to make the count.

Zack: For God’s sake, finally!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THRE-NOO!!!

Francesca got her shoulder up in time, and Angelina sat up with a very angry look on her face aimed at the referee.

Claire: The Nova Champion had the win right there…but Frani can give a huge thank you to her partner for using all those feminine wiles and getting Parks thinking with his little brain for just long enough.

Angelina shifted her gaze towards Dani, who was whistling on the outside and looking out at the crowd. The champion made a beeline for her, and snatched her by the hair between the ropes. That stopped her whistling as she tried to get free, and Parks immediately tried to get between them.

Zack: I don’t blame Angelina a damn bit for wanting to get her hands on Dani…but this isn’t the time for it! She has every right to be furious though!

Claire: Like you said though… if she could wait one move and then three seconds, she’d have the victory and could go after Dani as the winner. Instead Garcia might get enough time to score herself the upset.

Claire was right as Francesca got to her feet, and took off towards the ropes. She broke Angelina’s grip with a tiger feint kick to the face that sent her backwards, and also freed her partner too. Fantastica collapsed onto the mat before Francesca dove on top of her for the cover.

Zack: What a shot!! Francesca had about a minute to get herself together, and this may be the biggest upset of 2022!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

Angelina got her shoulder up in time, and Francesca told the referee to ring the bell because that was three. Parks disagreed, and showed her two fingers as the newcomer made it back to her feet, albeit a bit wobbly after all she’d absorbed.

Claire: Shades of Jo McFarlane but it doesn’t get her the victory much to her dismay. She’s got to stay on her, which is something she could well have to learn the hard way.

Fran started stalking Angelina next, watching her as the Nova Champion was beginning to get back to her feet. She stayed right behind her out of sight before swooping in to apply a full nelson. Garcia shook her opponent’s upper body, and started trying to lock her fingers amidst Angelina’s thick black hair.

Claire: Always the problem with trying to apply a Full Nelson with full effectiveness in this company. Garcia might want to stop trying and just make the best of a bad situation before it gets so much worse for her.

Zack: There’s also the fact that it helps if you have a bit more upper body strength to apply the pressure best. I haven’t seen anything tonight that says Francesca has that upper body strength.

Angelina continued fighting the hold though, and started to walk forward to reach the ropes. Garcia was having a hard time keeping her from doing it until the hold really started to set in on the champion. Her movements slowed considerably, and she dropped to one knee. Francesca smiled at her partner, nodding her head towards the timekeeper’s table. Dani headed over to where Lexi was sitting, and scooped up the Nova Championship.

Claire: Umm…Someone want to tell Dani the title isn’t on the line tonight? And even if it was, Francesca’s still not scored the victory - not yet. Even if she has got Fantastica flagging.

Angelina found a second wind seemingly as she lunged forward towards the ropes, but didn’t quite make it still. Francesca told Parks to ring the bell, but Angelina was still showing signs of life, and he refused. Meanwhile, Dani walked around towards the ramp and tried to start an auction for the title, which started at $100 and her asking if she heard $150.

Claire: Seriously? She’s trying to auction off the Nova Championship…and only starting the bidding at $100? That’s real chutzpah…or Kleptomania…I’m not sure which.

Zack: It doesn’t belong to her….and I think….Angelina just spotted her!

Zack was right, as that was the direction Angelina was facing. Seeing it seemed to spur her on as she got to her feet, grabbed Francesca’s head and delivered a jawbreaker! It sent the newcomer backwards holding her mouth in pain, and Angelina struggled back to her feet to deliver a superkick to the chin that dropped Garcia where she stood. Then her attention went back to Dani on the outside, who was now up to $250 in the bidding.

Claire: I don’t wanna encourage this behaviour…but Dani had better collect the cash in double quick time  - while she still can, cause if Angelina catches her, she might put her on the shelf for a long time.

Zack: I think the auction’s about to be called on account of….HERE SHE COMES!!

Angelina took off towards the ropes, and launched herself through them with a Superman dive that knocked Dani to the floor. The Nova Championship landed a couple feet away as Angelina unloaded with furious right hands to the side of her head. Fantastica got back to her feet, and scooped up her title just before Dani retaliated with a chop block to the back of her leg. That’s when Francesca came around the corner as the pair started putting the boots to Angelina as she clutched her title.

Zack: Dani just tried to take out her knee, and it’s a two on one fight now! I think Angelina needs some backup…..

The words were hardly out of Zack’s mouth before Arabella raced out from the back and down the ramp, blindsiding Francesca with a spear to the floor.

Claire: Arabella has seen enough and this is absolutely the last thing the Latina heat wanted to see tonight!!

Angelina had made it back to her feet, and was trading with Daniela. Francesca tried to whip Arabella into the steps, but the Brit reversed it and sent her instead. She doubled over on impact as Arabella yanked her into position for her spinning powerbomb…at least until Francesca pulled her free and the pair took off up the ramp. Arabella checked on her partner before the two rolled into the ring, and invited them back.

Zack: Arabella was gonna put her through the damn floor right there, and now it’s an even fight! The Shaolin Belles are happy to do this right now!

Claire: Francesca found out in no uncertain terms that she wasn’t about to win a battle of strength with Arabella. Ever.

Angelina put the Nova title on top of one turnbuckle, and waved at them both to return to the ring. Arabella sat on the middle rope doing the same thing as the crowd was roaring now. Daniela and Francesca exchanged glances, seemingly talking it over as Dani started to take off her earrings.

Zack: We may not have to wait, Claire. Latina Heat looks like they may take up the offer of the Belles, forget about Global Wars, I guess!

Claire: They’re confident to a fault. Maybe they think that Fran was about to put out Angelina and can do so again? But overconfidence has been the downfall of many a wrestler in this business.

The new team was halfway down the ramp before they shook their heads, and turned on their heels to head back up the ramp. That didn’t sit well with the crowd at all, but the Belles exchanged glances and hopped out to the floor.

Zack: Latina Heat showing discretion is the better part of valor…but the Belles look like they are happy to fight on the floor!

Francesca and Dani spotted them coming, and darted to the back as the Belles stood at the bottom of the ramp getting a roar from the Broomfield crowd.

Zack: We learned a whole lot about Latina Heat in just this match tonight, and we also learned a fair fight isn’t something they are too interested in. These fans love the Belles though!

Claire: They certainly haven’t done a single thing to endear themselves to the fans tonight. At Global Wars though, they’re going to have to stand and face the music; they’ll have to take whatever the Belles have to dish out to them.

As Angelina retrieved her title, she thanked her partner as the pair started to head to the back as Future Shock faded off the air.
