Live from the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri
June 7, 2022

The limousine pulls up outside of a bank somewhere in Boston before the driver opens the door to let Cait Flanagan and Kyle Kilmeade out. She takes his arm, and heads inside and is immediately escorted to a vault filled with stacks of money. But she notices one pedestal set aside for the title she wants most. “Legendary” by Skillet begins to play as someone dashes past the camera, and the pair look out to see whoever it is with the Future Shock Championship.

My heart bleeds adrenaline
The fire I breathe is where I live

It turns out to be Charlotte Harker, who darts out of the bank and around a corner at top speed with it in her hands. She doesn’t get far before Shaw trips her up, and takes the title away from her with a shake of her head. As she’s looking down at her former tag partner with annoyance, the title gets lifted out of her hand before the woman holding it ducks into a parked car and starts it up. The driver is Jacqui Minogue.

Top, to the top
Ain't never gonna stop
To the top, to the top
Ain't never gonna stop

Jacqui speeds through the streets of Boston till she runs into a familiar woman holding up traffic by standing in the middle of the crosswalk. Jacqui looks closer, and sees it’s Shaughnessy O’Neill who makes a beeline for her car. Minogue locks the doors and rolls up the window before someone else rises up from the backseat...that being Alessandra Esposito. She snatches the title out of the passenger seat, and bolts from the car onto the crowded sidewalks. She only gets so far before she’s spotted. Cait, Jacqui, and Shaw close in on her before a car honks to get her attention. She hops into the Italian sports car, leaving her pursuers in the dust..

Never gonna keep me down (never keep me)
Still the one that's standing now (never falling)
Destiny is calling me
Go down in history
Every day I'll fight to be
Legendary

Watching out the window of one of the nearby buildings at the plight of the would-be champions is a very amused Angelina and Arabella before the show cuts live inside the Cable Dahmer Arena. The fans roar as the show goes live, and sparklers shoot around the stage all the way down the ramp until another burst shoots from the ring posts. The camera shows the Future Shock logo on the ring mat before cutting to Zack and Claire at ringside.

Zack: We are just over one month away from the annual FFW vs. Future Shock event on July 5th on FFW All Access. And you’re watching the 116th edition of Future Shock, where we are live from the Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri. And what a night you’ve chosen because we’ve got a title match in our main event. Claire, good to see you as always.

Claire: Always a pleasure, Zack! Future Shock tour of the US continues into the beautiful state of Missouri and while we might have a title match in the main event, the rest of the show is just as loaded and stacked to the rafters. Everyone is looking to impress and maybe get the chance to represent Future Shock on July 5th.

Zack: We found out on the last show that Savannah Star has chosen Ashley Whitmore for her opponent. And some in the media are saying she’s picking on Ashley. While Savannah certainly has been to the highest levels, some may be underestimating Ashley. Where do you stand?

Claire: I think she might be underestimating Ashley a little bit. We’ve seen plenty of flashes of potential and gave Dani one heck of a scare 2 weeks ago. I don’t blame Savannah for being confident but if that crosses into overconfidence then Whitmore could score one heck of an upset.

Zack: We’ll find out soon enough. Tonight in our main event, Nadia Beaulieu makes her first defense of the Diamond Championship since she won it at Global Wars. She’ll meet the woman who won the #1 contender triple threat that night, Aviva Miller. Could we see an upset like we did in Lille? After all, Ashley looked like the odds on favorite to win that one.

Claire: We’ve seen that Aviva can be extremely talented and a threat in so many ways when she steps into that ring and she’s been getting better and better with every match. I’m sure that Nadia recognises that fact though and will be fully prepared for this contest. Her experience could well give her the edge in the main event tonight.

Zack: Speaking of Ashley as I did, she’s also back in the ring tonight. After lucking out against Arabella on our last show, she has been adamant about wanting her shot at the Diamond title before we went on the air. She needs to focus on her opponent tonight, a very fired up, no pun intended, Gwen Margolis. We saw her pop up at the last show too.

Claire: I don’t think I’d like to be in Chase’s boots tonight - no matter how much they might have cost or which designer has custom made them for the self proclaimed Gold Standard. She’s in for one heck of a fight tonight against one of Future Shock’s best and brightest who will be looking to put a certain weathergirl on notice tonight.

Zack: And in a tag team match that creates tremendous intrigue for me, the Doomsday Sisters will go up …or look down as they face Latina Heat. Last we saw the Most Hated of the Year, one was trying to get Jake to call her and the other was bent into a pretzel. They REALLY have a tall task ahead of them tonight.

Claire: Yes they do. This is arguably the biggest challenge that they’ve faced as a team yet…and not just because of the tremendous physical advantages that the Doomsday Sisters have over them. With them only having had one tag team match in Future Shock prior to this…Victoria and Sienna have held the Future Shock Tag Titles more times than that. This might well prove to be a step too far, too soon for the Heat.

Zack: The Future Shock Wrestler of the Year for 2022 is in the house tonight. River Campbell won out over some very stiff competition to get that award, and we’ll find out more on that from her. I know DOC told me personally that award is gonna add zeros to her contract if he has his way about it.

Claire: There are a lot of competitors here who had some very good years - Jacqui Minogue, Cait Flanagan, Angelina Fantastica, Sydney Christensen, Alessandra Esposito. So, yeah, River certainly had to beat out a veritable who’s who in Future Shock to be named the Wrestler of the Year. I’m sure she’ll be extremely proud of the achievement. I guess if DOC doesn’t ask, he’ll never know how many zeroes it could be worth.

Zack: And in what I think could blow up potentially, Cody Kincaid is here tonight and he’s told me he’s going to be in that ring and invite the Future Shock Director to meet him and hash out everything that’s been going on between them. I don’t know about you, Claire, but I think Adam’s been pretty clear how he feels.

Claire: I don’t think anything has changed on Adam’s side and I don’t think a meeting in the middle of the ring in front of the entire world to air whatever dirty laundry is still to air will help solve this impasse any. But I’ve been wrong before and I could be wrong again, maybe we will see them bury the hatchet and make up.

Zack: I also know we are going to hear from Madyson Stone. I’ve been told she has a huge opportunity coming on the next show, and we’ll find out about that tonight.

Claire: Madyson has shown a lot of toughness and talent when she’s been given chances in the past and after getting the chance to heal up after the Anarchy Championship match, I’m sure she’s raring to get back at it and make the most of every opportunity.

Zack: There’s a ton going on tonight, to say the least. So let’s get the show rolling, and send it up to our blonde bombshell ring announcer.

The next shot shows Lexi in the ring, as always attired in a very revealing dress as she begins the opening introductions.

Lexi: The opening contest of Future Shock is scheduled for one fall to a finish.

The lights go down and the video screen goes black as the opening to Blondie’s “One Way or Another” starts playing throughout the arena. A spotlight roams the arena until it finally stops at the top of the steps, where Gwen Margolis strikes a pose with her hand raised to the sky and a huge smile on her face.

One way or another, I’m gonna find ya
I’m gonna getcha getcha getcha getcha
One way or another I’m gonna win ya
I’m gonna getcha getcha getcha getcha

She takes off down the steps, high fiving fans as she makes her way down to the front row and vaults over the barricade.

Lexi: From Austin Texas by way of the open road, she is the time traveling punk rock warrior herself, GWEN MARGOLIS!

Gwen rushes up the ring steps and throws her hands up into peace signs before ducking through the ropes, bouncing in her corner as she waits for the match to begin.

Zack: Gwen’s about to meet one of Future Shock’s biggest egos in a matter of moments, but you and I know she would like nothing more than to hear Fiona’s music coming up. She’s got some serious payback in mind for the weather girl.

Claire: She was a moment too late in trying to work that umbrella two weeks ago but tonight, she has an opportunity to work out some frustration and give Fiona a sneak peek into what her future holds with Ashley acting as a proxy.

"Dangerous Woman" by Ariana Grande begins to play as two ladies in evening dresses walk out to the top of the rampway and unroll a red carpet. A golden spotlight shines on the stage

Don't need permission
Made my decision to test my limits
Cause it's my business, God as my witness
Start what I finished

AMC rises up from under the floor wearing a beautiful Golden flowing robe with her arms outstretched. Her manager Kyle Kilmeade walks out from the back and stands behind her applauding. AMC steps forward a few feet and stops at the top of the ramp and slowly spins in a circle as Kyle applauds his client some more.

Don't need no hold up
Taking control of this kind of moment
I'm locked and loaded
Completely focused, my mind is open

Lexi: Coming down the aisle accompanied by Kyle Kilmeade and hailing from Beverly Hills, CA.   She is the FOREVER CHAMPION AND “THE GOLD STANDARD” OF PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING!!!!!!  ASHLEY MARIE CHASE otherwise known as  A…. M…. C!!!!!!!!!!

All that you got, skin to skin, oh my God
Don't ya stop, boy
Somethin' 'bout you makes me feel like a dangerous woman
Somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout, somethin' 'bout you
Makes me wanna do things that I shouldn't

AMC slowly makes her way down the aisle and upon reaching the ring she walks up the steps, taking a moment to wipe her feet on the apron and removes her robe revealing her SVW Aggression Championship as Kyle gets on the apron and holds the ropes open.  AMC Slowly bends over to get in the ring and shakes her ass giving Kyle a great view causing him to smirk. Once in the ring Kyle removes her championship and kisses her hand causing loud boos from the crowd. AMC then climbs the ropes and raises her title in the air to louder boos.

Zack: She’s still undefeated in Future Shock, no one has pinned her or made her quit. She says she’s the Gold Standard now all on her own, and claims to be her manager’s #1 client. There’s no conceit in the Chase family, Ashley has it all. And man, Kyle certainly engenders fierce loyalty, doesn’t he?

Claire: Yes he does. And I’m sure there are some of his other clients with plenty of ego of their own who might lay claim to also being his number 1 client. Ashley is going to have her work cut out for her to keep that streak going, but with her talent and Kyle’s planning…there’s nothing to say that she can’t keep that streak going.

As referee Melinda Davis was about to call for the bell, Ashley carried her title with her to the center of the ring. The referee told her to leave it on the outside as Gwen joined the pair in the center of the ring. The socialite asked Gwen if she wanted a shot at Future Shock’s most prestigious title, and the blonde rolled her eyes and told her the title was dead. Ashley insisted it wasn’t, because she held it.

Zack: Starting off with a difference of opinion, Claire. For one, I don’t think the SVW Aggression title is the most prestigious on this brand. And two….it’s defunct. A retired championship.

Claire: I’ll let you debate that one with Chase. And maybe afterwards, to relax, you’ll want to beat your head against a wall - you’ll probably make more progress with that.

The referee demanded again that Ashley put the title away so she could call for the bell. The brunette huffed and looked down to her manager….before crashing the title against the side of Gwen’s head. It dropped her to the mat before Chase started scrubbing the burn marks Fiona had caused against the metal of the title, opening them up and making them worse before she slid the title to Kyle on the outside. Chase got to her feet, and told the referee to ring the bell. Davis was not the least amused by this, and read her the riot act before kneeling down to check on Gwen.

Claire: Should’ve seen that coming. Gwen just got her bell rung and already we’re seeing the Forever Champion try and make the most of her opponent’s injuries.

Zack: She’s trying to open up those wounds Fiona caused, and that damn title will do it in no time flat.

Gwen held the side of her face where the burns were, pain and anger etched into her expression as she slowly got back up to her feet. The referee offered to cancel the match, but Gwen told her to ring the bell. Davis asked again, and got the same answer before she reluctantly did as she was told. The bell sounded, and Gwen sprinted across the ring with a Thesz press followed by rapid-fire right hands to the side of Ashley’s head. The fans were in full support of her as those punches landed before she pulled the brunette to her feet and ran her face first into the nearest turnbuckle. Five quick shots landed against it before Gwen dropped her with a one-handed bulldog to the center of the ring.

Zack: Maybe the referee didn’t need to worry if Gwen could start the match. I’d say she’s starting off with one helluva offensive!

Claire: All the Gold Standard’s antics managed to achieve was to piss off an already fired up warrior and now she’s getting pounded to a pulp and turned into a Picasso painting because of it.

Ashley started to get up, but got pulled into a battering ram that drove the top of her head into the middle turnbuckle on the other side of the ring. Margolis pulled her up, driving her face into the top turnbuckle five times, the middle turnbuckle five more, and the bottom one five more. She got a pop from the crowd as she left Chase face down on the mat in the corner.

Claire: The Texan is making her opponent pay big time for the cheap shot, but if I was her, I’d stay on her and wouldn’t give her or her manager any chances at all. Put the match to bed and then you can celebrate with the fans.

Zack: I’m with you. That said though, all the turnbuckles are getting a little face time with Ashley, and I’m not talking about the iPhone app.

Ashley started to crawl out of the corner to get away from the turnbuckles. And as she got to all fours, Gwen connected with an ax kick to the back of her head and immediately dropped down to make the cover.

Zack: Shades of the No Surrender Champion with that ax kick, and the streak dies tonight!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Chase got her shoulder up in time as the two hit the canvas, and Gwen got back to her feet. The brunette headed towards the ropes, asking her manager if there was any bruising on her face.

Claire: She might want to be more concerned with her opponent right now. Bruising she can always cover with concealer…broken bones, however, or a different kettle of fish.

Kyle didn’t get time to answer before Gwen grabbed Ashley’s feet, and started to pull her away from the ropes. But the brunette grabbed the bottom with both hands, and was literally elevated above the mat with Gwen pulling her feet and her arms fully stretched to the bottom rope.

Zack: Gwen’s trying to pull her free, but Chase must have one hell of a grip on the bottom rope. Her body isn’t even touching the mat!

Claire: She’s holding on for dear life but in that position she’s also a sitting duck. Her body is wide open if Gwen decided she wanted to drive a boot right into her stomach with those long legs of hers.

Gwen walked into her and gave one big pull that finally caused the Forever Champion to faceplant down on the canvas in the center of the ring. The fans remained solidly behind Gwen as she leaned down to grab Ashley’s head to get her up again. But the brunette used her fingernails to scratch the burn marks still on her face. That stopped the blonde for a moment, and allowed Ashley to get back to her feet to drop her with a reverse DDT. Chase immediately dropped to the mat, and began scrubbing the wounds on Gwen’s face against the mat till the referee got to a four count.

Claire: An act of desperation from the undefeated Chase and straight back to work on opening up those wounds any way she can.

Zack: The only flaw in her logic is I’ve never seen anyone win by scratching their opponent like this. I’m assuming there’s more in mind than just this.

Ashley rebounded off the near side as Gwen was starting to stir, and used a curb stomp to drive her face into the mat again. The crowd had long since turned at this point as the brunette pulled her back to her feet, and planted her head to lift her into a ganso bomb. She hooked both of Margolis’ legs as she made the cover.

Zack: Never seen her use that before, and I’ve seen that put a lot of people away!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

T-NO.

Gwen got her left shoulder off the mat in time, and Ashley rolled her onto her stomach to apply a crossface submission. Kyle moved around to stand in front of her on the outside with his hands on the bottom rope as he encouraged his client.

Claire: Looks like Ashley has been learning a couple of new things - which is all credit to Kyle. He never lets his clients stand still when it comes to their abilities in the ring and is really making sure that she lives up to her new moniker.

Davis dropped down next to Gwen to ask if she wanted to stop the match. But she never got that response. Instead, she tried to pull Ashley’s hands free with her free hand without much success. She tried again as Chase tried to increase the pressure. The former Illuminati Projekt member still refused to give up. She reached out for the bottom rope as the referee watched her face…the same bottom rope Kyle had been holding and he started pulling it out of reach.

Claire: Gwen is showing tremendous resilience and stubbornness but that’s really being tested here. Kyle is earning his money right now and Davis doesn’t even see it

Zack: He shouldn’t have his hands on the rope to start with, but you’re right. Gwen is in a bad state of affairs at the moment.

Gwen reached out farther, stretching her free arm as far as she could. But Kyle still held it out barely out of reach…at least till the referee realized it. Davis got to her feet, and demanded he let go of the rope. And that was when Gwen surprised Ashley by turning over and rolling her into an inside cradle! The fans came to their feet, but Davis was still giving Kyle a piece of her mind…which he was instigating further as he saw what was happening behind her.

Fans: ONE!!! TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Claire: Smart counter from Gwen!! We’ve got thousands here in Missouri counting the fall but the official is too preoccupied with the damned manager!

Hearing them, the referee spun around and dove into position to make the count!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NO!!

Ashley kicked free, and rolled away from Gwen. The blonde slowly sat up, holding the back of her neck in pain.

Zack: Better late than never, I suppose! Ashley escaped getting rolled up right there, with a huge assist to her manager and a referee not watching the action! Gwen is hurting though.

Ashley started towards her, pulling Gwen up by the hair. That was until the blonde broke her grip, and started laying in fast right hands to her jaw. She yanked her head down for a kneelift that stumbled Chase backwards before Gwen took off towards the near side ropes to deliver a disaster kick that flattened Ashley where she stood. Margolis sprinted towards the face as Chase was getting up, catching her with a vicious sling blade clothesline. She twirled her hand over her head, giving the sign for one of her finishers and getting the crowd back on their feet.

Zack: A clothesline damn near decapitated Ashley, and Gwen says we’re closer to the end than the beginning!

Claire: Ashley’s about to reap her rewards for taking the cheap shot with the title belt earlier and I have a feeling it’s going to be really painful for her!

Gwen was beginning to pull Ashley up to her feet into position when the booing in the crowd caught her attention. She glanced around to see what was going on when she spotted Fiona at the top of the ramp with an umbrella in her hand. Margolis touched her face where the burns were, and the rest of her expression turned red with them.

Claire: Oh Boy! I think the red mists are beginning to descend upon Gwen and I think they’re about to cause her to have tunnel vision on Fiona. The Weathergirl is going to regret coming out here I think.

Zack: Look at that expression on her face! I’ve followed her career for years, and I’ve never seen it like that!

As Fiona headed towards the ring, Gwen started towards the ropes to meet her until Chase used an O’Conner roll to go for the win. Davis dropped into position to count just as Ashley used a low blow and snatched two handfuls of Gwen’s tights, so much so she was practically mooning the crowd.

Zack: That tunnel vision, Fiona’s gonna….WAIT A MINUTE!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

As soon as she heard the bell, Ashley rolled out of the ring immediately to her manager. Gwen sat up, shaking her head….and rolled out on the other side to go after Fiona!

Claire: Ashley steals the win thanks to a big, big assist from Fiona. And I think Gwen is still determined to get herself some payback!!

Gwen caught her halfway up the ramp with a bicycle kick to the chest. It sent the redhead staggering backwards before Margolis and Fiona started trading blows! Davis called for the bell just as Gwen scooped Fiona up for an Alabama slam!

Zack: Look at this! Gwen…I don’t think she cares about Ashley! She just wants FIona!

Claire: I don’t blame her at all. Those burns are a vivid reminder of what the Weathergirl did to her and Gwen is out for blood!!

Gwen was still stomping away at Fiona, and laying right hands to her head as the referee raised a dazed Ashley’s hand. Kyle headed towards the ramp to help his other client …at least until Gwen spotted him. That’s when he began backing up with her trailing him.

Zack: Ashley’s out of it…Fiona’s down….Gwen is happy to hand out some more punishment right now!

Fiona finally got to her feet, and stormed towards the blonde. But Gwen spun around, and the two started trading blows again until a punt between the legs from Ashley stopped her. They both began putting the boots to the blonde…until River headed down the ramp. She made a beeline for Ashley, but the brunette went the other way and escaped with both her manager and Fiona in tow.

Claire: Gwen had the numbers against her….at least until River showed up. Guess Fiona and Ashley don’t want any part of a fair fight tonight!

Zack: Or any night really. You gotta think River’s sick to death of seeing Chase with that Aggression title.

River helped Gwen back to her feet after she adjusted her tights, and checked on her as the referee headed up the ramp to raise Ashley’s hand before the show cut elsewhere.

The WOTY

The next thing we see is a close up of a plaque that awards River Campbell as Future Shock Wrestler of the Year. It shows her name emblazoned on it in gold leaf lettering as the camera pulls back to find her with DOC in the back.

DOC: Would you look at that?! LOOK AT IT! My client…the greatest Diamond Champion of the last decade of Future Shock….the Most Loved…..the Hardest Working….is the WOTY, because of all the …..tributaries out there. Tributaries feed into rivers, ya know. So that’s the fanbase name for River now, haha!

He tapped his forehead as if to point out how smart he was before looking at the Wrestler of the Year.

DOC: What do you say, WOTY?

River: Tributaries…yeah. That’s…a name for them, certainly. But honestly, I’m not bothered what they want to call themselves. Tributaries. Campbell-istas. River-ians. I’m just really thankful to each and everyone of them. To every single fan who voted for me to win this award and who viewed me as Wrestler Of The Year. The competition was really stiff. A lot of people who had fantastic years, who won and challenged for the Future Shock Championship and…maybe picked up a couple of other accolades. So this is something that means a lot to me and that I’m going to treasure for the rest of my life. It’s going to get pride of place back home.

DOC: As well it should, the greatest Diamond Champion in Future Shock history. Think about that, fans. This brand was founded in the winter of 2010. And in all that time….the greatest Diamond Champion ever! She deserved this award. DOC is proud of the Most Loved Diamond Champion as well as the Wrestler of the Year!

The musician turned wrestler hesitated for a moment before giving a one shouldered, half shrug.

River: You know what? I’m just going to let you roll with that. I don’t think you’d even listen if I tried to point out the Diamond Championship hasn’t been around for all that time. Besides, Most Loved Diamond Champion and Wrestler of the Year sounds pretty damned good to me - at least for now. Who knows? Nadia might give me a run for my money by the time everything is said and done but for now…yeah Most Loved is good.

DOC: Damn straight, now we need to address two women who I find to be on opposite sides of the spectrum. Let’s start with earlier tonight! Gwen, River was happy to help. You were throwing around Floozy Chase bell to bell, and that was great. We haven’t enjoyed seeing her run around with the SVW Aggression title. We know you want to get your hands on the lovely and shapely Fiona…who doesn’t?! But if DOC has his way, this won’t be the last time Floozy Marie Chase sees the leader of the Tributaries.

River: DOCs seemingly awful, awful taste in women aside. I’ve been in Gwen’s boots. That’s how Chase got the drop on me the first time - with a fireball while the bitch was pretending to be a photographer. So I know how badly you want to get Fiona in the ring and beat her like a drum; that you want to batter her like a fish. Now me? I’m stood here watching Ashley swagger around, acting like a big shot, calling herself the ‘Forever Champion’ and parading around a belt that, quite honestly, she really didn’t do anything with. Nope. She’s got a title belt in her possession that I made famous, that only means anything because of me. Don’t you think, DOC, that’s a wrong that we should right?

DOC: Damn skippy! Awful taste in women though? Really? I definitely want to see you take Ashley down in the ring, and relieve her of that title that doesn’t even have relevance here. And I’m trying to set up a meeting with double K, and we’ll have that match put together then and there. I’ve called a few times, but I only ever get voicemails after about five rings. I don’t think his phone is working right.

River: Seriously DOC, one day those looks will fade and they’ll look like the woman in Indiana Jones when she drinks from the wrong cup and all that will be left is that personality. Do you want to deal with that personality? And I don’t think it’s that Kyle’s phone isn’t working right. I think it’s working just fine. I think he’s avoiding you DOC. I think he’s ducking you. Avoiding you. He knows you only have one client and I don’t think he wants anyone he manages having to deal with me in that ring. I don’t blame him for not wanting to have that conversation; for not wanting to have to come up with excuses. Now, the way I see it, he has two options. One either he can take the call and make the match. Or two…. Adam, whaddya say you take the choice out of his hands entirely and you just go ahead, make the match and get ready to count all the money it pulls in; enjoy the rating spike when we go head to head?

DOC: I’m not worried. If I have to get rough with him, I’m prepared to do that. I’ve been working on my cardio, hitting the treadmill for a solid 10 minutes every other day. And with his group disbanded, I think I could take him.

DOC cracked his knuckles as he said that.

DOC: But then there’s Diamond Steele on July 5th at FFW vs. Future Shock. The Sorceress of…Submissions…the….Potentate of Pumphandles….err…uh…Mistress of the Microphone….

He was starting to lose track of all the nicknames as he was beginning to count them on his fingers.

DOC: The..Queen of….Q-Bert….. That’s a lot to fit on a t-shirt.

River: You know, I still have her number. You can have it if you want it.

She shook her head.

River: You’re right, she has a LOT of nicknames. You need a triple XL shirt to even think about fitting them all on and still be readable. She’s a master of self promotion and self hype. She must have been thumbing the thesaurus for a week to come up with so many alliterations to do with wrestling. But I don’t care about any of them. I don’t care about the self promotion and the bullshit that she spouts. July 5th, she’s stepping in there with the Baroness of Brawling. Future Shock’s Wrestler of the Year. And she’s going to fall victim to a Ragin’ River. She tries to get fancy or run her mouth or continue to spout the bullshit that she always does? That’s fine. Because I’ll leave her battered and bloodied and bruised. Because I’m the toughest bitch she’ll have ever faced and she’s not going to be able to break me.

DOC: Couldn’t have said it better myself. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go rough up ol’ double K.

He started rolling up his sleeves to head off camera before River stopped him, and the show headed elsewhere.

Ready Madyson is Ready

Sara is next seen, and this time, she’s joined by Madyson Stone. The reporter seems very happy to see her.

Sara: Thanks for stopping by. I know it’s short notice, but I just saw the card for the next Future Shock, and saw your name in a #1 contendership match for the Nova Championship. And I thought that would be more than enough to pique your interest!

Madyson: That is definitely something that piques my interest. Tell me more, Sara, I’m all ears.

Sara: It’ll be you and one of the newest additions to the roster, Fiona O’Dalaigh. She said practically upon arriving she was going to be the next Nova Champion, not to mention what she’s done since arriving to Gwen Margolis. What do you make of Fiona?

Madyson: Honestly at the moment, I can say I’m not exactly a fan, but I don’t know enough about her to make a full judgment I guess.

Sara: Allow me to fill in a couple gaps for you then. About 7 years ago before she disappeared from the sport, she was part of SVW and held their Adrenaline Championship for a half a year by cheating to win over Kelly Kincaid at the time. And she used to be married to a wrestler at that time who hid behind his preteen daughter to stop others from trying to get to him. It’s hard to find a lot to like about any of that, isn’t it?

Madyson: Well, I guess you can’t really hold something her then husband did against her, but yeah… she’s not sounding like someone who tops a lot of Christmas Card lists.

Sara: Then there’s all the weather puns, but I’m sure someone finds them amusing. On the flip side, you certainly know a great deal about the reigning Nova Champion, who has been dealing with Latina Heat most recently and their shenanigans. I’m sure you have a better opinion of her than Fiona.

Madyson: That’s an easy one. There’s definitely a lot more to like about Angelina, and I’d hope Angelina would prefer to face me over Fiona, but you never know.

Sara: And last but not least, in case you haven’t heard, you’ve been selected to represent Future Shock at the FFW vs. Future Shock event on July 5th. That’s quite an honor, I think.

Madyson: I hadn’t heard that, and yeah it is definitely an honor. I’ll make sure to do everything that I can to make Future Shock proud, no matter who I’m up against.

Sara: Then I’m just full of surprises for you tonight, Madyson. You’ll be meeting Ruby Steele of the Gemstones. I’m sure you’ve seen all the trouble they’ve been creating on the FFW roster.

Madyson: Yeah, I’ve seen that. I look forward to getting in the ring with her, and of course I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for the rest of the tribe, since they seem to travel in a pack.

Sara: Yeah, like rats. Good luck on both of these very important matches you have coming up, Madyson. And I appreciate you giving me a little bit of your time tonight.

The show heads to a commercial for Future Shock merchandise.

The show returns from the break, and finds Lexi once again standing in the center of the ring as she begins.

Lexi: The following tag team match is scheduled for one fall to a finish!

Zack: We’ve finally restored a little order out here after the chaos of the last match. We just heard from River, and it sounds to me like she’s fully focused on Diamond July 5th and relieving Ashley of that SVW Aggression Championship once and for all.

Claire: I don’t think you can blame her for that can you? We know that she had issues with Diamond from way back - when they were in a band together and River got pretty exasperated with her. As for Ashley, well we just saw her make a beeline for her to help Gwen and it certainly seemed like she had an ulterior motive behind it. Guess we just found out what that was.

Zack: Here’s a match I’ve really been looking forward to, Claire. It’s gonna be a long night at the office for the Most Hated of the Year….who I might add has had one tag match since they arrived.

Claire: It is indeed going to be a long night and an uphill struggle for the Heat tonight. But this could well be the making of them and help them take a massive step towards one of their many stated goals.

The lights go out...

The intro of music of “Giant Press” by Unknown Artist (NPJW) hits the arena, prompting the arena to erupt to thunderous reaction.

As the song begins, the spotlight is beaming on the stage, where Victoria Havoc & Sienna Danger comes out and steps onto the stage. Sienna goes down on one knee while Victoria stands behind her, both ladies having their arms positioned in a flex position. After a while, the ladies stop posing and form their hands together in the symbol of a triangle, representing their faction. After Sienna makes it to her feet, the ladies menacingly stomp their foot on the stage, causing the four corners of the ring to shoot out fog, accompanied by a thunderous booming sound. Just then, the ladies make their way to the ring.

Lexi: Making their way to the ring, representing The Matriarchy... at a total combined weight of 390 pounds…from Melbourne, Australia…”The Lady Beast” Victoria Havoc & “The Python” Sienna Danger…They are…THE DOOMSDAY SISTERS!!!!!

Once the ladies get to ringside, they walk around the ring, doing a little trash talking with the fans at ringside. The ladies climb up to the apron, wipe their feet on the apron, and step over the ropes to enter the ring. Victoria & Sienna then walk over to opposite corners where they climb up and pose, yelling back at the crowd at every chance. They then go towards the other two opposite corners to do the same routine after climbing up. After coming down and the lights come back on, Victoria & Sienna go to their corner of the ring as they wait for their opponents.

Zack: This is, bar none, the most dominant team in Future Shock. And you can make that argument past and present, and probably future too. Nearly 400 pounds between them, two tag title reigns and looking for a third. It’s hard to bet against Victoria and Sienna!

Claire: They’ve beaten just about every team they’ve faced. They’ve ended careers. They are, without doubt, one of the most dangerous and deadly teams in the business today and tonight they’re looking to bounce back and return to winning ways, putting the disappointment of losing the Tag Titles to Target Acquired behind them…and all at the Heat’s expense.

As “La Bamba” by Los Lobos begins to play a spotlight lights up the entranceway, picking up both girls as they dance out onto the middle of the stage, feet moving quickly and hips swaying, both have red roses in their hair, tucked behind an ear. The pair pause at the top of the entrance ramp, striking a pose back to back, grinning at the crowd before Dani starts to head towards the ring while Fran dances in place on the stage. Dani’s hips continue to sway as she keeps her feet on the floor while dancing down to the ring, hands moving around her body to accentuate and draw attention to her figure. As she reaches the halfway point, her partner skips down after her, before showing off with a back flip and a no-hand cartwheel.

Lexi: Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome the extraordinary team of “The Divine” Dani Ruiz and “Fuego Furiousa” Frani Garcia… LATINA HEAT!!!

When Gracia makes it to the bottom of the entrance ramp, she chooses a guy in the front row, flirting with him a little bit before she takes the flower from her hair and presents it to him...only to crush the flower in her head before spinning away. She darts towards Dani as the girl stands by the ring apron, using her to leapfrog onto the apron and immediately drop into the splits before she slithered backwards into the ring, rolling back and coming to her feet where Frani hopped up onto the middle rope, leaning forward and blowing a kiss to the crowd, telling the guys this was as close as they were ever going to get. While she did so, her partner launched herself underneath the bottom rope into the ring, rolling onto her back as she did so and kipped up onto her feet. She pulled a muscle pose for the crowd, showing off her abs before pulling the flower from her hair and tossing it carelessly to the floor. The two women hug before heading back towards their corner as they decide who will start.

Zack: Reinhold Messner was the first man to climb Mount Everest, and they asked him why he climbed up there to die. He said he didn’t, he climbed it to live. Latina Heat are about to climb Future Shock’s version of Everest right now. And if I could give them any advice, this isn’t the team to play around with. Look at this, Claire. Both Dani and Francesca combined weigh about the same as one half of the Doomsday Sisters!

Claire: They’ve certainly got their work cut out for them. No matter what they might say publicly, I’m sure they recognise what they’re up against tonight and the size of the task. We know they like to pull every trick in the book to try and get an advantage….I think if I were them, I’d have brought the book with me tonight - if nothing else they would have thrown it at the Sisters, maybe bought them a second or two to run away and survive.

With a camera near the Heat’s corner, it shows a couple things about Francesca’s ring gear that stand out a little. For one, we see Jake’s name written with what looks like a Sharpie on her right breast. Not to mention a sticker of his face on the front of her shorts. She gives her fingers a kiss and pats where his name is on her chest.

Zack: Is that supposed to be a good luck charm? Because all I see is bad luck it’s gonna bring. I see we’re not done trying to piss off Arabella, would you look at that?  Francesca’s getting more and more bold, isn’t she?

Claire: I’m not sure if it’s a good luck charm or maybe she’s just trying to incite her. In the long game, perhaps she’s looking to get Arabella so hot at her that she makes a whole series of mistakes if they ever meet again. Or maybe she’s hoping Townshend will blow her top tonight, storm out here and save them with a DQ before the Doomsday Sisters snap them both like a twig.

Referee Malcolm Parks called for the bell to start the match, and it was Victoria who began for her team. Both Daniela and Francesca were still talking in their corner, each pointing towards one sister or another as they whispered in one another’s ears with a hand covering their mouths as they spoke.

Zack: We got a little conferencing going on between the Heat at the moment, but Victoria looks ready to go. Why does Parks always get Latina Heat’s matches?

Claire: Perhaps he asks for them in an effort to try and score some digits from one or both of them? As for this little conference…honestly, they could both rush Victoria and I’m not sure it’d make all that much difference.

Finally, Francesca stepped out to the apron as Dani took in a very deep breath looking across the ring. Victoria headed to the center as Dani cautiously joined her, and held up a finger. The Aussie tilted her head as Dani explained something to her, and then reached into her top to pull out a few twenty dollar bills to offer to her to lay down.

Claire: Well, this is a different strategy to what teams usually try with the Sisters. I think they might be insulted that those are only twenties and that there’s not all that many of them there. They could maybe have brought a briefcase full?

Zack: It does seem to be lacking some incentive, doesn’t it? Besides I’m not sure the Sisters would take a bribe of any kind. It wouldn’t help their trek to a third tag title reign.

Victoria looked back to her sister, and held out her hand. Dani seemed pleasantly surprised as she put the money in the Aussie’s hand. Havoc stuffed it into her top as Dani patted her on the arm. She glanced back to Francesca in the corner with an approving look…before Victoria scooped her up into a gorilla press and sent her flying across the ring with a slam. Ruiz tried to get to her feet in the corner before a massive corner clothesline crushed her against it before Havoc picked her up under both arms like a child with a sitout powerbomb to the canvas!

Claire: An A for Audacious Effort for the Heat with the cash. An F for the result though and this might be over already!

Zack: And they kept the money too, but that might be the least of their concerns right about now!

Victoria used a beal to throw Dani into her team corner, where she made the tag to Sienna. They both exchanged a grin after she got in, and took turns with knife edge chops across Dani’s chest. Eight in a row connected before Ruiz collapsed to her knees clutching her chest in pain. Sienna used two handfuls of hair to send her flying out of the corner with a hair mare. And a running leg drop across that reddened chest followed that.

Zack: I can’t imagine how Dani’s chest feels right now…or the rest of her, for that matter. Sienna got some real distance on that hair mare.

Claire: There are going to be an awful lot of people watching this who are very happy with this. Hell, Arabella might just be about to crown herself President of the Doomsday Sisters fan club - at least until the next time the Shaolin Belles meet them.

Sienna got back to her feet, and Dani sat up, still holding her chest in pain. The Aussie pulled her up by the arm, and fired her across to the far side. Ruiz ducked a clothesline on the rebound, and came back with more speed for a running shoulder tackle into Sienna. It didn’t budge her. Dani’s face scowled as she took off again. This time, she hit two sets of ropes and delivered that running shoulder tackle….which didn’t budge Sienna and sent Dani backwards.

Claire: Like throwing yourself into a brick wall. I’m not even sure Sienna is even noticing Dani bounce off her at this point.

Zack: I think we can both agree that this is not the right strategy against the Doomsday Sisters, especially if you’re the size of Latina Heat.

Dani got back to her feet, but she didn’t stay there long before Sienna scooped her above the mat into a bearhug. Ruiz’s feet dangled over the mat as the pressure quickly intensified, and Parks asked her if she wanted to stop the match. She didn’t say she did, so Sienna continued to squeeze her before Francesca cautiously stepped into the ring. Parks noticed her..but didn’t stop her as she charged towards Sienna. The Aussie put Dani down on her feet for a half second before scooping up Francesca with her into a double bearhug!

Zack: I have never seen that in all the years I’ve been doing this! Parks let her go…and now they are both caught in the grasp of Sienna!

Claire: That went about as badly as it can go for the Latina Heat and they’re getting tortured for it. Now, do you think Park let her go because he wants her number or because he wanted to see Sienna get her hands on Francesca?

Dani and Francesca both were clearly in pain now as they were being squeezed, and they both used a thumb to each of Sienna’s eyes to cause her to let go. The pair dropped back to their feet, and used a double drop toe hold to send the Aussie neck first across the middle rope. Garcia rolled out to the floor, clutching her back as Dani pulled Parks to her. Francesca choked Sienna across the middle rope the entire time as Parks and Dani conversed.

Claire: That’s one way out of it and we’re seeing just how well the Heat can work as a team here. They’re going to have to in order to stand any chance at all against the Doomsday Sisters.

Francesca finally returned to her corner as Dani charged across the ring with a leg drop across the back of Sienna as she was still hanging over the middle rope. Ruiz slid out to the floor to choke her a bit more and got a very deliberate count from the referee. After nearly ten seconds and Parks only getting to a three count, Dani hopped up onto the apron and used a running kneelift to Sienna’s head that finally put her back on the mat in the ring. Daniela stepped back in as well, and made the tag to Francesca before they both hooked Sienna’s head, seemingly looking for a double suplex.

Claire: Parks is being very….very lenient….with his counts here. That might just make this an even contest between these two teams. Or cause the Doomsday Sisters to hurt the Latinas even more when they get back in control.

Zack: I’m not sure how well this double suplex is going to go. As we talked about, one Doomsday Sister weighs about as much as both Latina Heat combined.

They tried to lift Sienna up, but didn’t have a great deal of success. A second try netted very little as well before the Heat decided to turn it into a double DDT. Ruiz returned to the corner as Francesca hammered the back of Sienna’s head with forearms. She sat down on Danger’s lower back before pulling her arms around her neck for a mounted straitjacket submission, attempting to choke the Aussie out. Parks told the timekeeper to stand by to ring the bell as he got into position.

Zack: Sienna’s down, and like you were saying, we’re seeing how well the Heat can be when they have the advantage. He just told the timekeeper….

Claire: Credit where it’s due, for all their cunning and rule breaking, this is a pretty smart strategy from Francesca here. Using her foe’s arms to choke her out and weaken her while every ounce of her weight is helping keep Sienna down. For now.

Parks told Sienna he’d stop the match anytime she wanted. He told her repeatedly, as a matter of fact. The powerhouse’s face began to darken a little as Dani came back into the ring, and grabbed both of Sienna’s legs into a Boston crab simultaneously. Parks continued to check for a submission, and would then count one time for an illegal entrant in the ring, check..and count again until Victoria stormed the ring with a running boot to Dani and a big elbow to the top of Francesca’s head. Parks immediately started a five count on Victoria before she returned to the corner.

Claire: I guess the benefit of the doubt here is only going one way. But Victoria’s brief flurry of offence might just have bought Sienna the time she needs here.

Zack: I can’t really blame Victoria for being angry about this. There’s definitely a hint of bias going on in this match.

Dani got back to her feet along with her partner as they both started putting the boots to Sienna. Parks began his count again. The Heat pulled Sienna to her feet, and fired her into the neutral corner. Francesca whipped Dani into her with an avalanche splash before Garcia followed with the same move. Parks was up to two now. Sienna stumbled and dropped to one knee out of the corner before stereo superkicks to both sides of her head landed from the Heat. And that was up to three before Francesca made the cover!

Zack: Dual superkicks, and the Heat may be about to score an upset!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NOO!!

Sienna got her shoulder up off the mat before the three before the two started conversing again. The referee restarted his count for the illegal partner in the ring.

Claire: This might be getting just a little bit obvious from Parks right now. Still, the only time this match has been an equal contest has been when it’s been an handicap match.

Victoria was shouting at the referee about his counts as Dani and Frani pulled the Aussie back to her feet. They whipped her across to the far side, and put her down with a back body drop. Frani fired her partner into the ropes, and scooped her up into a Samoan drop on top of Sienna. Parks turned back to the match, and restarted the count again for the illegal partner. Dani headed to the corner to make her way to the top rope. But that didn’t last long before Victoria stormed down the apron, and wrapped a hand around her throat as she stood up there!

Claire: With Parks help they’ve been poking the bear and now Dani’s going to have one heck of a rough landing from a long way up from the floor here!! This could break her in half!

A thunderous chokeslam sent Dani into the canvas before Victoria dusted off her hands, and headed back to her corner. Francesca complained to Parks about an illegal partner getting involved, and he directly warned Victoria about it.

Zack: The ring shook, and I think we might have seen the last of Dani tonight in this match!

Claire: It might take her a long while for her to recover from the impact. Francesca’s on her own and she has to keep Sienna down because she might suffer a similar fate if Victoria gets an opportunity to get into this match.

As Francesca complained to Parks, Sienna had begun to move again. And after the referee had warned Victoria about her actions, Sienna made the tag to her! Victoria stepped through the ropes as Francesca tried to take off in the other direction, only to get snatched by the hair from behind. Havoc yanked her into a rear waistlock, and sent her flying with a release German suplex into the Sisters’ corner. Garcia slumped limply against that corner as Victoria took off for the far side, and came back with a face wash boot to the jaw that nearly sent her through the ropes!

Zack: You called that one, Claire! Victoria’s the legal woman now, Dani hasn’t budged, and Francesca….. I don’t like her odds!

Claire: Victoria almost took her head clean off her shoulders that one face wash boot!! Francesca might not have a clue where she is right now!! Parks might want to consider throwing in the towel and stopping this before it gets too bad.

Victoria pulled Francesca to her feet, and hoisted her up into position for her finisher. Havoc landed the muscle buster with a ferocious impact, and hooked the outside leg for the cover.

Zack: CODE RED!! This is over!!

There wasn’t a count however as Parks had gone to the corner to check on Dani, who was now starting to move…and had a death grip on his shirt to keep him facing her. Victoria pounded the mat for a count!

Claire: Parks chose the worst possible time to go ahead and check on Dani. I mean, part of his job, sure but I’m sure someone at ringside could’ve stepped in when Victoria lifted Frani up.

Havoc got back to her feet, and immediately snatched Parks off his feet by the shirt. She was clearly seething as she had him pinned against the ropes, letting him know how she felt. Dani rolled out of the ring, and found herself a chair from underneath it. Sienna dropped down to get her before she crashed it against one of her knees. Ruiz rolled back inside next with the chair in hand.

Zack: Uh oh, Dani’s got her third or fourth wind…and some steel! This is going south at a high rate of speed!

Claire: Parks might be regretting his choices with the look on Havoc’s face and I really don’t think that Dani should use that chair. With the amount of anger in Victoria’s system she’s liable to just shrug off their best shot and send the Heat to join the Dragons.

Victoria finally put the referee down on the canvas, and turned around. Dani aimed the chair, and swung…but Havoc punched it out of her hands and left it dented on the mat. Ruiz’s mouth fell open!

Zack: Oh dear God… Look at the dent! And then look at Dani’s face!

Claire: How….how has she not broken her hand?!? That chair…looks like something the Hulk punched. Havoc could almost make a gauntlet out of it!!

Dani scrambled to get the chair before Havoc caught her on all fours. She shoved the chair away as Frani used Dani’s back for a springboard into a spiked hurricanrana into the dented chair! Ruiz rolled out of the ring as Francesca dove onto the cover!

Zack: How the…

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Parks called for the bell…several times as Francesca rolled out of the ring to her partner. Nothing but boos came from the crowd as the referee went to raise their hands…and shared in a group hug as a result.

Lexi: Your winners by pinfall…………………LATINA HEAT!!

Claire: Quick thinking by Francesca and a big assist to the chair as the Heat live up to their billing and recent award win as the Most Hated. A different night…a different referee…and the Doomsday Sister would’ve won this convincingly I feel.

The girls hugged each other and the referee before he raised their hands again. Victoria started to stir, sitting up with a very angry look on her face as the Heat darted towards the ramp to leave the arena.

Zack: The Heat just keep making enemies, don’t they? And how often does the referee get a group hug after a match? He certainly earned that and then some. We may need some oversight from management after this.

Claire: That might just be the most action Parks has seen in a while given how desperate he’s been to impress these two of late. I hope it’s worth everything he’s putting on the line.

With both halves of the Heat escaping to the back and the Sisters none too happy, the show cuts away.

Cody Tries Again

Future Shock returns from the commercial break to a mix of cheers and boos from the crowd, due to the man standing in the center of the ring. And that person is the founder of the entire brand, Cody Kincaid.

Zack: Welcome back from the break. Cody joined us while we were in commercials, and about as many of the crowd are for him as against him, sounds like. Like we talked about at the start of the show, I think Adam’s been pretty clear how he feels.

Claire: He’s been crystal clear about it and I really don’t think anything Cody can say or any arguments that this crowd might make for or against him will sway Adam too much. The best Cody might be able to hope for is that time heals all wounds.

Cody: I promise I won’t take up too much of the time tonight, because I know all of you want to see the true stars of Future Shock. I get that. And before I get to what I came to discuss, I have to say this….this is all so much more than I ever foresaw Future Shock becoming. It’s amazing to see where this show started when I was in charge…to what it’s become today. It makes me proud, and a lot of that credit goes to the leadership here, namely Adam. And the rest goes to some of the most talented women I have ever seen. And the support you guys have shown for it….incredible. At one point in time, I’ll admit I was jealous of its success because it did so without me. But that was wrong. Now all I feel is awe to see it where it is, and honored I played any part in its development.

Zack: That’s a good start. This brand has grown so far beyond how it started under Cody that it’s almost unrecognizable to what it once was.

Claire: It’s grown and evolved immeasurably. It’s taken some giant strides forwards. From a tiny acorn that Cody planted, it’s grown into a tremendous, towering oak tree.

Cody: No matter how all of you feel about me, I get it. Tonight, I want to make one last appeal. Adam…if you’d join me in the ring, please. I just want to talk.

“We Got The Power” began to play before Adam finally arrived on the stage. The look on his face showed he wasn’t entirely happy. He listened to the crowd response for him, all of which was loud and favorable before he almost stormed towards the ring and climbed through the ropes.

Zack: The fans may be happy to see Adam, but he doesn’t look like he’s in a good mood at all, and he just got here.

Claire: Certainly doesn’t look to be in any sort of receptive mood to whatever he might be about to hear. Cody’s going to have to have a silver tongue and need almost supernatural powers of persuasion to even stand a chance of getting what he wants from the looks of things.

Cody: Thanks for joining me. I appreciate it, and know how busy things are each night in an arena Future Shock visits. And I only have one question, Adam. I’ve turned it over and over in my mind for weeks, and I don’t know what I can do to show you I’m not the person you dealt with in SVW’s final weeks. Tell me…tell me what I can do to make it right. I’ll do it.

Adam took a deep breath, and started rubbing the bridge of his nose.

Zack: The only way to find out what he can do is to ask, but man…. The Future Shock Director is generally in a good mood, and very affable. He looks like he’s two seconds from wanting to hit him, which isn’t like him.

Claire: He certainly looks…vexed…by this intrusion. Maybe he should do just that. Just pop the guy right on the nose given everything that’s happened. But as frustrated as he is, Adam’s not really the eye for an eye biblical justice type of guy and he’d probably regret it in the morning.

Adam: Do you know how sick I feel right now? Do you? I told you weeks ago that I don’t ever want to be under your thumb again? And now….just now…it feels like I was right back there because you came out on a show I run and wanted me out here to talk? That’s what a superior does to a subordinate. And I had to do it…or look bad because it’s my show and I let you keep me away.

Claire: Adam has a point. He did kind of put him between a rock and a hard place - he could either come out or look something of a jackass for ignoring a guy who looks to be trying to hold out an olive branch to him.  Maybe he really should just lay one right on the bridge of his nose and walk back out.

Cody: Adam, I didn’t mean it like–

Adam: NO! You wanted this chat, let’s have it. What can you do to make me forget how you treated me? How you treated my wife? What can you do to make me feel better about getting accused of striking you in the face? What can you do that will make me forget all of that? Let me tell you what you can do. Not a goddamn thing! And let me tell you why. Because I went through things EXACTLY like this a long time ago with someone else. A guy who embarrassed me and tried to make me miserable. And every so often, I’d get a message or a call asking for help with something. I’d do it for him, and it would always bite me in the ass. I did that for years with that person, and we were hardly friends. You know him, it’s Kyle Kilmeade. What you did…what you did was worse because I would have bent over backwards to help you…and you still tried to humiliate me. With him, a leopard never changes its spots. But you were a friend…which made what you did hurt a lot more. So let me make this extremely clear because I’m not going to say it again any clearer than now. There is absolutely nothing you can do that will ever make me feel any different about you than I do right now. IS THAT CLEAR?

Zack: Wow! That’s a harsh comparison between Cody and Kyle Kilmeade. But…I see Adam’s point of view. Kyle was never really his friend. Cody was.

Claire: Certainly heightens the sense of betrayal exponentially. It’s always the shots you don’t see coming that hurt the most. I think Adam has made it very clear that Cody is running into a brick wall. I don’t blame the boss.

Cody stood silent, clearly speechless.

Adam: But I know this is a business. I know this is all about business. I don’t have your track record.. And the decision isn’t mine to make. Samantha could very well put you back in charge in your old job, overseeing all things FFW and Future Shock. She could do that, I don’t know what she’ll do. But I know what I’ll do. If she puts you back in charge of me, you can have this job too because I’ll quit.

That surprised the crowd as well as Cody.

Adam: I’ll go back to photography. I’ll deliver pizzas, if that’s what it takes. Hell, I’ll take a job at another promotion!  But I will never in my life be under your thumb for any reason whatsoever. If she wants you back, she can have you. And all this that you say you are so proud of….it’ll all be yours. I hope that’s clear enough now.

Adam laid his microphone on the mat, and headed towards the ropes when his music started playing again.

Zack: Damn. He couldn’t be any clearer, and this certainly didn’t go the way I imagined Cody was hoping.

Claire: Adam certainly made it very clear that not only is there no bridge to be built…there’s no chance of ever building one big enough to cross the yawning abyss that exists between these two. Hell, he’d rather give up everything than work under Cody again.

Zack: I’m not sure where things go from here. I guess it’s up to Samantha. She can have one or the other, but not both. This would feel so strange without Adam in charge, and given what we just heard, I’m not sure him potentially walking out would endear Cody to his detractors any further.

Claire; Certainly not. We’ve got some of the best and most intelligent fans in the business. They might recognise that Cody planted the seed, but it’s Adam that has nurtured it and turned Future Shock into FFW’s present and very, very bright future.

Cody took a deep breath, looking out at the crowd that was now more unfavorable towards him than they were when he first came out.

Zack: It’s up to the owner of FFW now. All the cards are on the table, and I’m not sure how this gets resolved.

Claire: Cody seems to have taken a step back tonight if this crowd are anything to go by. Samantha has a decision to make…and I guess making tough decisions is part of the reason why she’s a woman who has built a billion dollar company. I’m sure she’ll come up with something to break this impasse one way or another.

As Cody ponders what was said to him and starts to leave the ring, the show goes to a commercial for FFW vs. Future Shock on July 5th on FFW All Access.

Road to Unstoppable

An empty basketball court is shown before the sounds of steps coming from the locker room are heard, those belong to Kyle Kilmeade, who has a basketball in his hands as he approaches the camera.

Kyle: This is the Little Caesars Arena, a regular haunt of FFW and Future Shock each year. It also happens to be where the Detroit Pistons and the Red Wings play right here in midtown Detroit. When I was a little boy, I used to visit my grandfather here in Michigan. He was a die-hard fan of the Pistons. Going to the games with him is what got me into watching the sport. And every time we come back to this arena, I’m reminded of those times as well as when we’d go to the Joe Louis Arena, now demolished.

He starts tossing the ball back and forth between his hands.

Kyle: So it’s safe to say that Detroit has a place in my heart. I also make it a point to go visit my grandfather’s grave every time I come to the city. He died in 2009, just about a year before FFW opened and changed my life as a result. And now, the biggest event in women’s wrestling is going to be here on July 30th not too far away at Ford Field. The one night of the year every woman in FFW or Future Shock is in attendance at the same time. The one night of the year that showcases what the women of this sport are capable of. Not just devastatingly beautiful women, but athletes of the highest caliber.

He glances towards one of the hoops as he starts dribbling.

Kyle: And as far as I’m concerned, it’s my favorite night of the year. The biggest paychecks. The biggest matches. The biggest crowds. Everything about Unstoppable screams that it’s almost a cultural zeitgeist. Everybody remembers their first one. I remember mine. Some of them didn’t go like I hoped, but that never stopped me. Detroit is a historic city for sports as well as music and automobiles. It has a little bit of everything you could ever want. And Unstoppable has everything you could ever want. July 30th on FFW All Access, it’ll be the 13th annual presentation of the biggest night in women’s wrestling. And that’s past, present and future. There’s nothing like Unstoppable, and I’ve seen or been to them all. FFW will add to the rich sports history of the Motor City. The women of this company will never be more at the top of their game than that night. And I like to think somewhere inside Ford Field that night, the man who introduced me to this city and its heritage will be there too. July 30th, Unstoppable 13.

He tosses the ball behind him off camera.

Kyle: I wouldn’t miss it for the wold.

“High Hopes” by Panic at the Disco starts playing as we see the Unstoppable 13 logo before the s how heads back into the arena for Future Shock.

The show returns from the break to the ring, and the viewers see a graphic showing them that the championship main event is about to begin.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is for the Future Shock Diamond Championship!

Zack: That was our last commercial break, fans. Independence, Missouri is about to become Title Town. I’ve always heard the first defense is the hardest, Claire. Would you agree with that?

Claire: As someone who has been there. Yes. Wholeheartedly. It’s incredibly hard to win a title in FFW or Future Shock, it’s even harder to keep it. You’ve got to change your entire mindset going from hunter to hunted and everyone seems to raise their game just that little bit further with a title on the line. You have to adjust to that.

The beat of “Black Sheep” by Metric kicks in and Aviva Miller busts out onto the ramp with her fist held high in the air, her head bobbing to the music. As the bass drops, she heads down the ramp and slaps hands with every fan she can reach. Instead of going right to the ring, she takes a trip around it and gives out more high fives before finally swinging herself onto the apron.

Lexi: From Los Angeles via Jerusalem, this is Aviva Miller!

Aviva grins and ducks between the ropes into the ring, but then turns back and balances herself with one foot on the bottom rope and the other on the middle, waving her hand in a circle to get another loud cheer from the crowd. With the fans sufficiently hyped up, Aviva heads to her corner and waits for the match to begin.

Zack: Aviva Miller is just at the beginning of what I am positive will be a long and successful career. She defied the oddsmakers at Global Wars when she won this title shot. If she can do it again, she’ll have Future Shock’s newest title as her own and can write the next chapter of its story.

Claire: It’s a HUGE opportunity for Aviva tonight. We’ve seen her start to put all that potential she’s shown together, stringing it together into a full performance at Global Wars. Tonight, I’m positive that she’ll push Nadia every step of the way and will cause the Diamond champion a ton of problems.

The lights in the arena dim and the almost haunting intro to ‘Good For You’ begins to play around the arena. A warm spotlight hits the center of the stage and the curtain at the entrance is pulled back to reveal a feminine figure standing just outside the reach of the spotlight.

I'm on my fourteen carats
I'm fourteen carat
Doing it up like Midas
Now you say I got a touch
So good, so good
Make you never wanna leave
So don't, so don't

The figure steps into the light to reveal Nadia Beaulieu holding her Championship in her hand. Dressed in provocative ring gear, that shows of her figure to perfection, she stands with one hand on her hip with the championship in it. The other raised towards her mouth with one finger resting gently on her bottom lip. She lowers her head a little as she looks around the crowd with a hooded gaze.

Gonna wear that dress you like, skin-tight
Do my hair up real, real nice
And syncopate my skin to your heart beating

She slowly tilts her head back and runs her finger down from her lip, over her chin and down the front of her cleavage still keeping the hooded gaze as she does. She sways her hips and starts to lower herself in rhythm with the music. She takes her time to make her way down, before taking just as much time to stand upright again. The blonde starts making her way down the ramp with a strut, running her hands down her curves at the side as she does.

'Cause I just wanna look good for you, good for you
I just wanna look good for you, good for you
Let me show you how proud I am to be yours
Leave this dress a mess on the floor
And still look good for you, good for you

Lexi: Introducing at this time, from Beaune, France……the only dual champion in Future Shock…….one half of the Future Shock Tag Champions and the reigning and defending Future Shock Diamond Champion…………..NADIA BEAULIEU!

I'm on my marquise diamonds
I'm a marquise diamond
Could even make that Tiffany jealous
You say I give it to you hard
So bad, so bad
Make you never wanna leave
I won't, I won't

Nadia reaches the ring and climbs the steps, before scaling to the top of the turnbuckle from the outside. She gets her balance and then runs her hands down her sides again, before she somersaults off the top to land on her feet in the ring. Immediately dropping down into the splits once she has. She stays there for a moment before getting back to her feet and raising her championship high into the air. From there she heads to her corner to await the start of the match.

Zack: Look at all those titles! That’s gotta be a little unnerving for any opponent to step into the ring with someone packing title after title. You could call Nadia Future Shock’s Golden Girl right now, and she’s earned that nickname.

Claire: Nadia’s experience is going to help her a lot tonight. She’s been a tag team champion everywhere that she’s competed. To some extent she knows all about flipping that switch from hunter to hunted and the lengths you need to go to secure a successful defence. It’s something that she’ll have to leverage to the fullest to avoid an upset tonight.

Referee Kevin Fisk takes the title from Nadia, and shows it to her opponent before Lexi leaves the ring with it. Both women meet in the middle to shake hands before the bell sounds to start the match. Aviva takes a second to take it all in around her in her first title match in Future Shock before they lock up. Quickly, the challenger asserts her strength as she pushes Nadia back into the ropes and gives a clean break. Beaulieu holds up her hands to let Aviva step backwards, but the Israeli wrestler surprises her instead with a belly to belly suplex to the mat. She quickly floats over into another rear waistlock, dragging the champion back to her feet. As Nadia tries to connect with a pair of back elbows, they miss when Miller lowers her head and snaps off a release German suplex before hopping back to her feet.

Zack: Aviva’s already showing us she may be a hair stronger than Nadia, and certainly isn’t shy about those suplexes to get Nadia’s attention. Not that she didn’t have it already.

Claire: She’s sending Nadia for a ride right now and this is certainly going to stop the Frenchwoman from working to her strengths tonight.

Beaulieu gets to her feet, but doesn’t make it entirely before Aviva scoops her up from behind into a wheelbarrow facebuster before hooking both legs as she rolls through the cover.

Zack: She’s already looking to end it!

ONE!!!

T-NO.

Nadia immediately kicked out, and shoved Aviva away from her. The brunette got back to her feet, and spun Nadia around when she did the same. A short knee to the champion’s kidney landed before Aviva snatched her arms into a full nelson suplex into a bridge!

Claire: Another suplex into a pin!! Aviva’s trying to catch Nadia off balance with these quick fire suplexes!

ONE!!!

TW-NOO!

Nadia kicked out again before the two landed on the canvas, and Aviva rolled them both over till she was on top of Nadia’s back and hoisted her up again by the waist and into an Olympic slam before making another cover!

Zack: Aviva never let go of Nadia, and transitioned into an Olympic slam! And there’s another cover!

ONE!!!

TW-NOO!!

Nadia got her shoulder up before the two touched the mat, and Aviva rolled back to her feet and took off towards the ropes. The champion ducked a shadow roundhouse kick that never materialized before Miller grabbed her head and dropped her with a swinging neckbreaker.

Claire: Aviva’s bossing the early exchanges! Nadia can’t get out of the blocks and this is similar to the way Nadia started her challenge at Global Wars!

Aviva pulled the blonde to her feet by the arm, fired a few knees into her body, and then whipped her into the far corner. Nadia landed back first before Aviva went for a handspring back elbow. But the champion caught her with a boot to the back of her head that sent Aviva staggering forward, giving the blonde time to hop onto the second turnbuckle from the inside with a blockbuster as soon as Miller turned around.

Zack: Nadia got her foot in the door, and she’s more than capable of matching speed with Aviva. That was fantastic offense to start the match for the challenger.

Claire: Nadia’s showing that she’s happy to go for the big moves earlier and that will certainly help her slow the challenger down and give her something to build a successful defence on.

The champion gave her opponent virtually no time to recover before she applied a gator roll, and began spinning Miller in various directions all over the mat. She finally pulled her to her feet with a front facelock, only to get shoved backwards by the challenger. Nadia bridged the gap to get her when Aviva tried to grab her head…but it was Nadia grabbed hers into a single knee facebreaker followed by a cover.

Zack: It’s becoming a case of who can land their move the fastest, and Nadia’s ready to head for the pay window!

ONE!!!

TWO–NOO!!

Aviva got her shoulder off the mat in time before the two was about to land, and Nadia applied that front facelock as she got up again. Several knees landed against Aviva’s face and chest, causing her to drop to a knee. When she looked up, Nadia connected with a step up enzuigiri that flattened her to the mat.

Claire: The Champ is looking for a knockout shot right there after getting just a two last time. She’s determined to leave with the Diamond Championship still around her waist, but Aviva’s not going to make it that easy for her.

Nadia caught her breath for a second before bouncing off the near side for a double knee drop into Aviva’s body. An elbow drop followed that before she headed towards the corner. She climbed up facing the crowd, and then bent her head down to look between her legs to make sure Aviva was still there….and she wasn’t. Nadia’s eyes darted around just as Aviva connected with a superkick between Nadia’s legs to her face that sent her crashing to the mat before the challenger made the cover.

Claire: Big superkick from Aviva and this might have gotten her the title!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NOO!!

Nadia’s shoulder came up off the mat as the three was coming down, and Aviva rolled away from her to collect herself and get back to her feet. She immediately went for one of her favorite moves, a handspring twisting leg drop that landed perfectly before she made the cover!

Zack: I’ve lost track of all the pinfalls, and Aviva may be about to make history!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THRE-NOOOOO!!

Once again, Nadia got her shoulder off the mat in time and Miller got back to her feet. She pulled the blonde up into position for her falcon’s arrow, but Nadia countered out of it with a Northern Lights suplex that put both women on the mat.

Claire: Quickfire offence from Miller almost saw her pick up the victory. While Nadia had enough to counter, she wasn’t quite able to hold for a pinfall of her own - that’s the toll this match is taking.

The referee began his ten count, and it was Nadia who sat up first. She made it up to her feet at 5, and Aviva was only a second behind her. The challenger went to grab her from behind, but ate a Pele kick from the Diamond Champion that sent her backwards into the corner. Nadia charged towards her with a running European uppercut, snapping her head backwards before the champion sat her on the top rope and climbed up with her. With both women standing on the middle rope, Nadia hooked Miller into a flatliner that drove the challenger face down into the mat before the champion rolled across her to make the cover.

Zack: A flatliner off the middle rope, I haven’t seen that before! Nadia’s gonna retain her title right here!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREE-NOO!!

Thanks to being close to the ropes, Aviva got her foot across the bottom to cause the referee to break his count. Fisk pointed it out to Nadia, who was sitting on her knees now taking in some deep breaths.

Claire: All credit to Aviva there!! She’s showing a lot of toughness and resiliency to keep this one alive - especially after that! Nadia had to believe she had it won!!

The champion got to her feet, and headed for the corner once again. She scaled it quickly, and came off the top rope with an elbow drop to the chest. It landed flawlessly before Nadia pulled Aviva out of reach of the ropes before she went for the cover again.

Zack: She won’t find the ropes this time!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEE-NOO!!

Aviva got her left shoulder up in time just as the three was coming down. Beaulieu got back to her feet, shaking her head as she returned to the corner again to make her way to the top rope.

Claire: Again Aviva escapes in the nick of time!! Though it might have only delayed the inevitable if Beaulieu can land whatever she has in mind here!

Nadia perched herself, and launched into a shooting star press. But Aviva rolled out of the way…only for Nadia to course correct and land on her feet to the amazement of the crowd. When she turned around towards her opponent, Aviva grabbed her head for a cutter that bounced them both off the mat. The Independence crowd were on their feet not as Aviva rolled over, and crawled towards the downed Diamond Champion before throwing an arm across her chest.

Claire: Aviva with the cover!! But are those few precious seconds it took to do so going to save the Diamond Champion?!?

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO!!

The right shoulder came up just as the three was about to land, and Aviva held her head up as if to ask if it was a three. Fisk told her it wasn’t, and she rolled off the blonde and sat up against the bottom rope, trying to get her wind back.

Zack: If she had made it about two seconds sooner, I think we might’ve had a new Diamond Champion. These two women have gone full tilt since the bell rang!

Claire: They have both thrown everything at each other and this match could well be won by whoever makes it back to their feet first and can gain the upper hand! Neither can possibly have much left in the tank.

Miller grabbed the top rope to pull herself to her feet. She went to grab Nadia to pull her up with her, but the blonde grabbed her arms and started using bicycle stomps to her chest to send her staggering backwards. Beaulieu got to her feet, and took her down with a leg lariat before heading back to the corner to make her way to the top rope.

Zack: I’m not sure how much either of them have left at this point, but Nadia loves to fly and she’s at home up there. But it didn’t pan out the last time she went up there though.

Claire: Nope, but sometimes you’ve just got to trust yourself. You’ve got to go with what brought you to the dance and what you feel most comfortable doing. However, she can’t waste any time here.

By the time she had made it there, Aviva had made it back to her. The challenger’s head popped up under her legs as she walked backwards with Nadia on her shoulders.

Zack: Aviva caught her, and now look where the champion is!

Little did Aviva know, that was where Nadia wanted her. The Diamond Champion spun around and connected with her dragonrana! The fans came to their feet as Nadia hooked both legs for the cover!

Zack: That’s her favorite! COTE OPPOSE!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Fisk called for the bell as Nadia collapsed forward to all fours, and made it back to her feet. She got her hand raised to a pop from the Independence crowd.

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall………..AND STILL FUTURE SHOCK DIAMOND CHAMPION……….NADIA BEAULIEU!!

Claire: Nadia had to pull out all the stops tonight. Aviva gave her everything that she had and pushed her as far as Nadia has ever been pushed but Beaulieu managed to find a way to picking up the all important first defense of the Diamond Championship!

The referee returned both the Diamond title as well as her half of the Future Shock Tag Titles. Nadia smiled as she reclaimed them, and specifically raised her Diamond title over her head.

Zack: Congratulations to Nadia on the first successful defense of her new Diamond Championship tonight! But tonight’s performance certainly won’t shut Aviva out of the title picture, I don’t think.

Claire: Again, Aviva showed that she’s got all the potential in the world and an exceedingly bright future here in Future Shock and in FFW. She’ll almost certainly be back and challenging for a title again and probably sooner rather than later based on this showing.

Nadia stepped out to the floor, resting one title over each shoulder as she thanked the cheering crowd before Future Shock went off the air.
