Live from Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan
July 30, 2022

The FFW logo is shown as fireworks erupt all around it in the night sky before we see an aerial shot of the city of Detroit, Michigan. Then we hear “High Hopes” by Panic at the Disco start playing behind the narration of FFW CEO Samantha Star.

“What is Unstoppable?”

Had to have high, high hopes for a living
Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing
Didn't have a dime, but I always had a vision
Always had high, high hopes (high, high hopes)

“It’s more than just a wrestling event. It’s the realization of a vision. A vision of women creating their own destinies.”

We see many of the festivities around the city featuring the women of FFW and Future Shock, including an autograph signing in the lobby of Ford Field. Mara Werth is shown throwing out the first pitch at a Detroit Tigers game. Jacqui Minogue is shown on a local talk show.

“Unstoppable is about giving women a stage that they have never had before, a place to show that they are more valuable than just based on their appearance. That their value is intrinsic within them, and each of them are only as powerful as they can dream themselves to be.”

Had to have high, high hopes for a living
Didn't know how, but I always had a feeling
I was gonna be that one in a million
Always had high, high hopes

Next we see Adam Grant, Missy, Ashley Whitmore and the Shaolin Belles bringing Future Shock toys to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital and answering questions and taking pictures. Kyle Kilmeade and Power and Prestige are shown cutting the ribbon on a local bank opening.

“Unstoppable is the living embodiment of women past and present who paved a road for the stars of today to shine brighter than they ever have. It is the goal post of so many women in this business. It is their dream made real.”

Had to have high, high hopes for a living
Shooting for the stars when I couldn't make a killing
Didn't have a dime, but I always had a vision
Always had high, high hopes

Then the shot cuts back to an aerial view of Ford Field from earlier in the day as a massive crowd of people are filtering inside Ford Field.

“Unstoppable is a celebration of women. And tonight we do it again. Because women are UNSTOPPABLE.”

Fireworks erupt inside Ford Field as the show goes live and we see thousands upon thousands of people making almost deafening noise. The massive stage consists of a giant video wall on a stage with video effects leading all the way to the ring. That’s also when we hear the voices of the broadcast team before joining them at ringside. Both Zack and Lexi are dressed to the nines.

Zack: Welcome back to the stage of history! Welcome to the grandest spectacle FFW has to offer! Welcome to a celebration of women, and welcome to 80,113 fans from some 34 countries around the world to the biggest night in women’s wrestling….the 13th annual UNSTOPPABLE!! Thank you for joining us wherever you are around the world on FFW All Access. I’m Zack Hudson, and this is Lexi Carmichael.  Are you ready for your first Unstoppable?

Lexi: More than ready, Zack! I’m on the edge of my seat to see the night’s festivities unfold. We have a jam packed card, the fans are bringing the energy to the stadium and I’m sure there’s going to be more than a few fireworks before the night is over!

Zack: For 13 years, this event has been the biggest stage of all in women’s wrestling. Tonight will be no different. We have 7 matches on the card, 4 of them with titles on the line, a career potentially on the line in another, and a whole lot more!

Lexi: There’s something for everyone included on tonight’s card, and I really don’t think there could have been any more action packed in if we’d tried.

Zack: Our main event will see the FFW Championship in massive jeopardy when Cassandra Sheffield challenges Kelly Kincaid. They are two of the most consistently successful women on this roster, but only one of them can be the FFW Champion when this event is over!

Lexi: Kelly must be feeling all kinds of Deja Vu tonight, given the fact that her challenger is the identical twin to the woman she was facing a year ago at Unstoppable 12 with the same title on the line.

Zack: A career hangs in the balance as a FFW legend makes her return tonight. Scarlett Kincaid hasn’t been part of Unstoppable in several years, but tonight, she looks to get her husband his job back as second in command of FFW. Standing in her way is Missy, who will look to ensure Adam stays in charge of Future Shock.

Lexi: It might be safe to say that this match possibly has the most at stake. Championships are one thing, but we’re talking about people's jobs and livelihoods in this one!

Zack: Detroit’s own Crystal Zdunich comes home tonight for a first ever meeting with Savannah Star. And I’m positive that the “Las Vegas Siren” has no intentions of making this a happy homecoming for Crystal.

Lexi: Does Savannah ever really have any intention of making anyone happy? She’s maybe a bit of a party pooper really if you ask me.

Zack: For the first time in 9 years, the Future Shock Championship is on the line at Unstoppable! The dominant Sydney Christensen looks to turn back the challenge of the 2022 Global Wars Winner nad the centerpiece of the Matriarchy, Jacqui Minogue!

Lexi: The Future Shock girls are getting the big stage to showcase the level of talent at the top of the Future Shock tree, this is going to be an amazing match. I can just feel it in my bones.

Zack: Valerie and Elizabeth, of Power & Prestige, return to FFW’s biggest stage one year later to become the next FFW Unity Tag Team Champions. It’s going to be one hell of a first test for the new champions, the Midnight Storm. But you count out Mila and Caitlyn at your own peril.

Lexi: I think we all know by now who I’m going to support in this meeting don’t we? And no, there are no prizes for guessing!

Zack: Mara Werth puts the Phoenix title on the line against a woman who stole the shot from her friend. Diamond Steele hasn’t been part of Unstoppable for many years, and tonight she could unduly enrich herself by taking the title from Mara.

Lexi: Mara seems to have a pretty ironclad grip on that title, so it’s going to be interesting to see if the delusional dimwit can pry it from her.

Zack: It’ll be a night of firsts, because for the first time, Vee Chandler gets in a FFW ring and she’s got Vivi Traeger standing across from her! I think Vee has found herself in a very unenviable situation, and her first night in a FFW ring could end up being her last.

Lexi: How many women in the back do you think are wishing they were in Vivi’s shoes tonight? I’d say a good majority of them.

Zack: It’s not just the FFW roster we have here. The entire Future Shock roster is backstage as well. We’ve seen in the past, Lexi, that they always make their presence felt.

Lexi: They are sure to add a few fireworks and a little extra entertainment to proceedings, don’t you think?

Zack: No question in my mind. Let’s send it up to our Aussie knockout, Katherine Grayson, in the ring, because Unstoppable starts now! Because in the famous words of Lizzo… it’s about damn time!

The shot changes to the ring with the dazzlingly dressed Kat Grayon standing in the center as she lifts the microphone to speak.

Kat: Detroit, Michigan! WELCOME TO UNSTOPPABLE!!

That gets a pop from the crowd before the bell sounds before she begins the opening match introductions.

Kat: The opening contest of Unstoppable 13 is scheduled for one fall to a finish!

Zack: Ever since this match was announced at Breaking Point’s 200th episode, I have been eagerly anticipating it, Lexi. Vee Chandler is about to get what’s coming to her, and long overdue.

Lexi: Vee has been getting involved in her clients matches, and now it’s about time for some just desserts if you ask me.

“Bad Guy” by Billie Eilish begins to play throughout the arena causing an immediate booing from the crowd. Dante walks out carrying a microphone that gets even bigger boos from the crowd

Dante: Kat take a break because I will be handling this! Ladies and Gentlemen get up on your feet and show your respect for the greatest manager in wrestling and also the greatest wrestler in all of FFW. She is the beautiful and sexy star of FFW, give it up for “Vivacious” Vee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Loud boo’s as Vee walks out with Michelle Storm. She has a huge smirk on her face and raises her arms in the air getting rapid applause from Dante.

So you're a tough guy
Like it really rough guy
Just can't get enough guy
Chest always so puffed guy
I'm that bad type

Vee starts making her way down the aisle jawing at the crowd as she walks to the ring. Michelle walks behind her with a huge smile on her face

Make your mama sad type
Make your girlfriend mad type
Might seduce your dad type
I'm the bad guy
Duh

Vee walks up the steps and wipes her feet on the apron as Dante sits on the ropes opening them for her. Vee steps inside and extends her arms out and spins around to a chorus of boos. Dante yells at the crowd to show his friend proper respect, Vee climbs the ropes and yells at the crowd that their favorite is about to get got.

Kat: Introducing the--

Dante snatches the microphone for himself from Kat.

Dante: Introducing the best looking manager in all of wrestling, tied for first with me, none other than.....'VIVACIOUS' VEE CHANDLER!!

Zack: Vivacious? Well I guess that’s a matter of opinion. I could think of some other adjectives too, but I have a feeling she’ll get beat up enough in a matter of moments.

Lexi: Yeah… vivacious really isn’t the first word that springs to my mind to describe her. Vile and vindictive would probably be closer to the mark.

I’m not the one who’s so far away when I feel the snakebite enter my veins
Never did I wanna be here again and I don’t remember why I came…

The drumbeat to Godsmack’s “Voodoo” hits and the entrance ramp is bathed in purple light and fog. The top of the ramp fills with smoke, and tall candelabras rise up through the floor, flickering in the light. The lights of thousands of cell phone dot the arena like fireflies, adding to the ambience.

Candles raise my desire, why I’m so far away
No more meaning to my life, no more reason to stay

Vivi Traeger stands perfectly still as she rises up through the floor, a crown of bones and purple roses resting on her head. Around her neck is her black ball python LaCroix, his scales glimmering.

Freezing feeling, breathe in, breathe in…
I’m coming back again…

Reaching the ring, Vivi hands LaCroix off to the ring crew and ascends the stairs, climbing up on one of the turnbuckles. She bends down and then rises up again, throwing her arms out to the sides.

Kat: From New Orleans, Louisiana, she is the Voodoo Queen, the All-Mother, Vivi Traeger!

Basking in the adoration of the crowd, Vivi jumps down from the turnbuckle and sets her crown aside, ready to face her opponent.

Zack: There’s wrestlers around the globe who would love to be in Vivi’s boots right about now. She’s been waiting for this night longer than she knew it was actually going to happen. Me too, for that matter.

Lexi: It’s always great when you get to see people like Vee finally get what’s coming to them, and I’m sure Vivi is glad to be the one to get the opportunity to make sure it happens.

Stephen Wilson was the referee in charge and checked with both competitors, getting the okay from Vivi and ignored by the debuting Vee as she was still talking with Dante. Traeger started to head towards her opponent only for the official to cut her off, telling her to stay in her corner until he called for the bell as he tried to get Chandler’s attention to find out if she was ready for action and the blonde held up a finger to him, telling him that she needed a minute. Once more Vivi stepped out of the corner and started for her opponent only to again be told to head back to her corner by the official which saw the Voodoo Queen complain to him about the obvious stall tactics from the manager turned wrestler; Wilson though stayed firm in telling her to wait for the bell. Vivi backed up a couple of steps, telling him this was his last chance before she’d start the contest regardless. Once more Wilson tried to get the attention of the manager of the Wicked Storm, achieving it as she turned towards him and asked him what the delay was and whether Vivi was having second thoughts already because she’d been standing there waiting for the bell all damned evening.

Zack: Can you tell which one of these two women wants to have the match and which one doesn’t?

Lexi: Hmmmm…. I’m going to hazard a guess that Vivi does want to have the match and Vee doesn’t. Do I win a prize?

With a roll of his eyes, Wilson called for the bell and Chandler quickly stepped forwards out of the corner and started to circle Vivi, slapping her upper arms before she offered up a lock up to Traeger. The New Orleans native immediately went to meet her only for the blonde to duck underneath it, stepping past her as she did so and immediately played to the crowd who booed her loudly before she turned back towards Traeger who shook her head at her with a look of frustration on her face. Vee held up her hands and told her okay, this time…she entered into a lockup with her and did not embarrass her. Once more Vivi stepped forwards and looked to meet Vee’s grasp for the lock up only for Chandler to suddenly slap the taste out of her mouth. A look of fury appeared on the All Mother’s face as she held her jaw and Vee already started to back up, trying to placate her, raising her hands once more for a lock up but that lasted barely a second before the Vivacious one darted for the ropes and launched herself through them to the outside as Vivi came towards her.

Zack: Vee talks a big game until it’s time to put up or shut up. I think she’s legitimately terrified of having to face Vivi, and I don’t blame her.

Lexi: She would never, ever admit it though. She’s far too egotistical to admit that she might be out of her depth here.

Chandler landed on her feet on the floor and took off around the ring as Vivi slid under the bottom rope to give chase. The former manager passed Dante who tried to get out of the way only for Vivi to flip him upside down as she sent him to the floor with a clothesline. Vee slid back into the ring underneath the bottom rope and popped back up to her feet only to set off across the ring as Vivi hopped up onto the apron and when the blonde came back towards her, Traeger used the top rope to catapult herself into a flying shoulder tackle, taking the blonde down to the canvas. Chandler tried to roll back out of the ring underneath the bottom rope only for Vivi to stop her by grabbing hold of her hair, pulling her back into the ring and up to her, ignoring the referee’s reprimand and the moment that she had the Wicked Storm’s manager back on her feet the New Orleans native landed a thunderous open handed slap straight into her chest. Vee’s eyes went wide as the blow landed, staggering away and immediately went to cover her chest, which just Vee shrug her shoulders and delivered a similarly thunderous open handed slap right between her shoulder blades; causing Chandler to arch her spine in pain.

Zack: They heard that slap all over the city! Good Lord! It’s a different world in the ring instead of outside of it, isn’t it Vivi?

A second open handed slap to the spine followed that saw Vee try to get away once more and this time, stepping gingerly away from her foe only to get spun around by Vivi. As she came face to face with the former Future Shock Champion, Traeger caught her with another open handed slap to the jaw; a hand print immediately starting to form from the impact as the force of the blow spun her around a full one hundred and eighty degrees, the blond looking unsteady on her feet. Vivi followed it up with a backstabber that sent Chandler down to the canvas once more as she bounced off her opponent’s knees and landed face down. Vee kicked her feet against the mat for a moment before she again started to roll towards the ring ropes and once more found herself pulled up to her feet by the Louisiana born wrestler. As Vivi got her to her feet she pulled Vee downwards into a single knee facebreaker, sending her falling back against the ropes. Quickly the Voodoo Queen followed it up with a thrust kick to her chest before she sent her in for the ride and caught her on the return with a Thesz press. As they landed on the mat, Vivi began to hammer away at the blonde with forearms to her face.

Zack: Vivi’s not worried about winning right now. She wants to rearrange Vee’s face, and has all the reason in the world to want to do it!

Lexi: I think there’s a queue of women out the back that would love to be next in line to do it too, don’t you?

Chandler tried to cover up as the referee called for the break and started the count, Traeger using every moment of it that she could before she came to her feet and stepped backwards. A moment later, Vivi stepped forwards and began to drive stomps into Vee’s body, causing the referee to again demand that she allow the Wicked Storm Manager get back to her feet, starting the count as Traeger once more used every millisecond of the five before she backed up; the crowd were cheering her loudly, causing her to turn to face them as she stepped away from her foe and encouraged them to get louder, being rewarded with another roar of support from the crowd. Vee was pushing herself up to her knees as Vivi circled back around towards, Chandler holding out a hand as she seemed to be trying to calm her opponent down, asking for a time out and looking to the referee as Traeger just stared at her for a second before she quick stepped forwards and slammed a knee strike into her sternum, rocking the debutante back on her heels.

Zack: Except for stalling, this match has been nothing but Vivi punishing Vee Chandler. And to a nicer woman it couldn’t happen.

Lexi: I wonder if Vee is regretting her decision to become ring active yet?

Vivi stood over her foe as she knelt on the mat and started to paintbrush slap her face with both hands, delivering three slaps to each side of her head in quick succession before she pulled her the rest of the way up to her feet and fired her into the corner. Vee hit the turnbuckles hard and immediately stepped back out towards the middle of the ring, arching her back in pain. She only made it a step and a half before Traeger took off towards her and launched herself up onto her shoulders as if going for a hurricanrana but while she was still in midair, the Vivacious one managed to shove her upwards and backwards as she fell to one knee; the extra momentum sending the New Orleans native into the corner where her head struck the steel of the corner post. Traeger stumbled back as she landed on her feet, trying to stay upright as her legs threatened to crumble beneath her which allowed the blonde to roll her up in a schoolgirl pinning combination.

Lexi: Vee is looking to end this, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a fruitless search.

One…

Vee kicked her feet up onto the middle ropes as the one came down.

Two…

…THRE–

Zack: She hasn’t done NEARLY enough to keep Vivi down for the count at this point.

At the last second Vivi managed to kick out of the pinning combination, Vee landing on her knees and looking towards the official, asking for three, only to be shown the two as Traeger sat up, holding her head. Chandler shook her head as the referee confirmed the two count to her and fired off a forearm shot into her jaw, dropping the Voodoo Queen back to the mat. Quickly the Vivacious one windmilled her arms around, crashing blows with her right and lefts into her foes head and body as the referee once more called for the break and started the count; Chandler this time milking it right to the point of getting disqualified before she held her hands in the air to show the official she’d given him the break before she started to pull Traeger up, only to press her face against her boot and stomped downwards to rake her eyes against the laces. Traeger started to crawl forwards, trying to clear her vision as Vee took a moment to hold her arms to the side, telling the crowd she was that good, before she pulled the All Mother upwards by the hair, spinning her around and sending her through the turnbuckles to strike the ring post right shoulder first.

Zack: Vee’s starting to get something going here, but I still think it’s only a matter of time before our former Future Shock Champion gets back in control.

Lexi: She is starting to show some skills, but I don’t think it’s a match for Vivi’s experience at this point.

Chandler strode across the ring to the opposite corner, playing to the crowd as she did so before she turned around, measured up her opponent as Traeger came out of the corner, holding her shoulder and turned around before the blonde shot forwards across the ring and drove a two footed shotgun dropkick into Vivi’s chest, causing her to stagger backwards into the corner. Vee held her back for a moment as she came back to her feet and stepped into the corner, wrapping her opponent’s arm over the top rope and applied a wristlock, forcing her arm up as she used the metal cable for leverage to apply pressure to the shoulder and arm. As the referee called for the break, Vee stepped in closer and began to fire elbow strikes into the side of the neck and shoulder as the count was started. Chandler stepped away at four with her hands raised only to immediately step forwards and lock in the hold again and deliver more elbow strikes as she did while the official once more called for the break and started the count, seeing it milked once more.

Zack: If it’s not breaking the rules, Vee barely knows how to do it. She knows she’s gonna have to bend every rule in the book to get past Traeger.

Lexi: There’s not a rule that Vee has met that she isn’t happy to bend or break. It’s not Vivi’s first time at the rodeo though, so I’m sure she’ll find a response for the shady shenanigans.

Again, the break only lasted for a second or so before Chandler went straight back to the well but this time as she did so, Traeger caught her with a headbutt to the side of the head. Vee stumbled backwards in surprise, complaining to the referee as she held the side of the head while Vivi started to step forwards out of the corner, massaging her shoulder…but barely managed to make it a step forwards as Dante took full advantage of the Chandler distracting the referee to run up the ring steps, grab hold of the Voodoo Queen’s right wrist and step off the apron to snap her arm over the top rope, before jogging to a neutral corner, acting innocent as Traeger held her arm. Chandler broke into a grin as the referee told her for the third time that a headbutt was perfectly legal, despite her complaint and the blonde stepped forwards, grabbing her foe by the right wrist and twisting her arm into an arm wringer before she lifted the arm into the air and snapped it down over her shoulder.

Zack: Amidst all the cheating, I have to give Vee credit for showing some competency in the ring tonight. At least unlike all the other matches, she’s legally allowed to get her hands dirty here.

Lexi: I still reckon that she’s bitten off more than she can chew, you know.

The New Orleans native attempted to jerk her hand away but the blonde kept it trapped, twisting it around in it’s socket once more before she snapped it over her shoulder, pulling her towards the middle of the ring as she did so before following it up with a double knee arm breaker to the right arm. Traeger collapsed to the mat, holding her arm against her body and Chandler made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Lexi: A cover from Vee, and it’s looking like she’s desperate to end this match sooner rather than later.

One…

Two…

..T–

Zack: Still not enough to keep Vivi down. Chandler’s gotta hit something big to have a chance, if you ask me.

Vivi kicked out of the pinfall and Vee came back to her feet as Traeger rolled to the side, holding her arm against her side only for Chandler to pull her foe up to her a sitting position, applying a hammerlock to her right arm as she did so. The Voodoo Queen reached for her shoulder, gritting her teeth as she did so before she started to push upwards, forcing herself to her feet only for Chandler to reach around, grabbing hold of her head under her jaw, keeping the hammerlock in place before she fell backwards, driving Vivi down on her arm with an inverted facebuster. As she landed the move, Vee quickly went to roll the New Orleans native onto her front and reapplied the hammerlock to the right arm, twisting it up behind her back before she kicked her feet up into the air and drove a double knee drop into the upper arm. Vivi gritted her teeth as she grimaced, slamming her free hand into the mat in frustration. The Wicked Storm manager told her to submit even as she kicked her feet up again for another double knee drop to the arm and another followed that, Vivi still shaking her head in refusal.

Zack: I guess Vee may be a little more resilient than I thought she was. I’d have thought she would quit the first chance she got.

Vee released the hammerlock and slapped the back of her opponent’s head with a scowl on her face as she went to pull her foe up to her feet, twisting her arm into an arm wringer before she snapped it across her shoulder once more. Traeger tried to pull her arm away from her foe but found herself unable too as Chandler raised her foot, placing it into the Voodoo Queen’s arm pit as she kept hold of her wrist and fell to the mat with a modified inverted stomp facebreaker. Traeger stumbled away, holding her arm against her body once more as Vee pushed up to one knee, holding her arms out to the side and asked the fans how good was that. It caused the sold out football stadium to boo her loudly and as she came back to her feet, Vivi darted towards her, leaving her feet and hooking her head with her bad arm, letting out a cry of pain even as she drove Chandler down into the canvas with a leaping DDT.

Zack: Vivi’s arm is killing her, but I don’t think you can do long term damage dropping Vee on her head. Has to be something there to damage.

Lexi: Vivi did well to get herself out of that, I’m not sure her arm could have taken much more. At least now she can get herself together a little bit.

Traeger rolled to the side and started coming back to her feet, holding her arm as she did so. Chandler rose up at the same time and as the blonde made it to her feet, Vivi charged her, leaving her feet and delivering a bicycle knee strike to the jaw; the manager just getting her hands in the way in the nick of time to soften the impact of the blow. Still Vee stepped backwards and as she did so, Vivi caught her with a spinning roundhouse kick to the side of the head, dropping her to one knee. The Vivacious one pushed back upright as Vee came off the ropes and launched herself into a superman punch to the side of the jaw with her left hand. Again it caused the FFW debutante to stagger from the blow and Vivi grabbed hold of her head, taking her down to the canvas with a snapmare. As Chandler landed in a sitting position Vivi rubbed her right arm, holding it against her body while she fired off five stiff kicks in rapid succession to her foe’s back.

Zack: Vivi has tremendous foot speed with those strikes, and they work just as well when your arm is throbbing.

Lexi: Using her feet is a great way for Vivi to buy her arm a little bit of respite time. It might not fully fix it, but it will help.

Chandler rolled to the side and tried to get back to her feet but as she did so, Vivi grabbed hold of her arm and her head, pulling her up and immediately snapping her back down to the canvas with a side Russian leg sweep. Traeger rolled through and came back to her feet only to step forwards quickly as foe started to rise and spiked her face first into the canvas with a two handed bulldog. As Vee pushed back up to all fours, the Voodoo Queen rolled her up with a magistral cradle pinning combination, Wilson sliding into position to make the count.

Lexi: It’s Vivi’s turn for a cover, and this could be it.

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Zack: Vee’s staying in this match. I’m kinda surprised by it, to be honest.

Vee kicked out before the three count could be completed and rolled back to her feet as Vivi popped back up to a vertical base, holding her arm only to step forwards and grab hold of Chandler’s head, dropping to her knees to deliver a kneeling jawbreaker. It saw the blonde fall back against the ropes and as she came back off them, Traeger sent her back down to the canvas with a monkey flip before she kipped back up to her feet. The Voodoo Queen charged towards the ring ropes, bouncing off them to build up momentum and launched herself into a spinning heel kick that once more took Vee down to the canvas momentarily. Chandler started to rise back to her feet and as she did so, the New Orleans native once more took her down to the canvas with a springboard cross body block. Immediately the All Mother nipped up to her feet and hopped over her foe but only to launch herself into a standing moonsault. As she landed the move, she hooked the leg and made the cover.

Zack: Vivi’s outstanding agility may be sealing the deal for Chandler tonight!

One…

Two…

…THR–

Lexi: Vee is proving to be pretty resilient isn’t she? Unfortunately.

Vee rolled the shoulder before the three count. Vivi rose back to her feet as she checked the count with the official, accepting the two as she pulled Chandler upwards, hooking her head with one arm while trapping the other, taking a moment as the crowd cheered her loudly before she snapped her downwards into the mat with a single arm DDT. Traeger shook her head as she pulled her opponent upwards from the canvas once more, holding her head down as she started to bring knee lifts up into her head and body before she let her straighten up and snapped her head back with a trio of European uppercuts. The debuting blonde stumbled backwards and as she did so, Vivi jerked her forwards and into an STO backbreaker, following it up with a reverse STO - the Southern Incantation. The Voodoo Queen grimaced and took a moment or two to hold her arm as Chandler started to push upwards onto her hands and knees. As she did so, Vivi started to move, grabbing hold of her ankle to pull her into a Boston Crab, sitting low on her back as she leaned backwards, pulling on her legs to put more pressure on her spine causing the blonde to claw at the mat, as she cried out in pain.

Zack: As much as she’s also in pain right now, how good do you think it feels for Vivi to be torturing Vee Chandler in this hold right now after all this time?

Lexi: You just know that it’s helping her deal with the pain, don’t you?

The referee moved into position to ask the Vivacious one if she wanted to quit, the blonde pulling at her hair and shaking her head as she refused to quit. Vivi sat back a little further, causing Chandler to let out another loud groan of pain but still shake her head as she instead forced herself to plant her hands on the mat, pushing her chest up from the canvas. Vee cried out once more as she continued to shake her head and began to pull herself towards the ring ropes. The blonde struggled and fought for every inch, pulling her body towards the rope and reached out, her nail scraping the bottom rope. Vivi stood up, still holding her foe’s ankles and was just about to step forwards to drag her to the middle of the ring only for Dante to grab hold of Vee’s outstretched hands, pulling her back towards the ropes. Wilson saw it and started to order Dante to let go, beginning a count as Vivi continued to try and pull Chandler away from the ropes and her manager on the outside. The referee reached three and dropped down to his knees, trying to prise Dante’s hands away from the blonde before Wilson shook his head in frustration, came back to his feet and kicked sternly at Dante’s forearms. The man let go and as he did so, Vivi lost her balance and fell forwards, collapsing face first to the canvas.

Lexi: Dante deserved that and I don’t blame the official at all for doing it. In fact I think he deserves a bonus for it!

Vivi came back to her feet and turned to glare a hole through Dante while he was busy berating the referee for daring to strike him, telling the official that he’d have his stripes; that he’d never referee in the state of Detroit or the Great Nation of Canada ever again!! Wilson fired back, telling him to get in the corner and stay there before he had him thrown out and Vee Chandler was disqualified. As the two men argued, the Voodoo Queen headed towards her opponent and the Vivacious one fired off a low kick to the kneecap. Vivi stumbled allowing the blonde to grab her attire to jerk her downwards, sending her throat first across the middle rope. As Vivi started to gasp for air, the Vivacious One scrambled upwards and threw herself across her foe’s back, forcing her throat down across the middle rope to choke her out while Dante continued to distract the referee. The All Mother struggled for air, trying to push away from the ropes and shove her opponent off of her to little success as her face started to turn bright red..

Zack: If we’ve learned nothing else tonight, it’s that Vee is a trained wrestler. Or at least she has been at some point. She’s showing too much for me to think this is her first rodeo.

Lexi: I believe Vee said as much in her pre match video. Apparently she’s a multi time Champion… but I tend to take everything she and anyone associated with her says with a pinch of salt.

Finally the referee turned back towards the pair as Vivi’s movements were beginning to fade as she still struggled for oxygen and Wilson immediately called for the break, starting a quick five count. Chandler finally releasing less than half a count before he’d be forced to disqualify her. As soon as the blonde came to her feet she argued with the official over the count. Traeger pushed herself up from the ropes, still trying to catch her breath and as she did so and the Vivacious one wrapped her arms around her body and threw her down to the mat with a release German suplex. Vee took a moment to come back to her feet as Vivi started to push upwards, making it as far as her knees before the debuting wrestler caught her with a low superkick to the jaw, it rocked Traeger to sit back on her heels. The Wicked Storm manager stepped forwards and drove an elbow into the top of her opponent’s head. Traeger wobbled from the blow and Chandler grinned as she pulled the Voodoo Queen up from her knees, lifting her onto her shoulders and slammed her down to the mat with an angle slam. Vee dropped down with a grin, sitting with her back to her foe and leaned back across her chest, loosely hooking the leg for the cover as the referee dropped down to make the count. Vee made the count with him.

Zack: Listen to Vee counting along with the referee here!

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Lexi: It’s not going to help her keep Vivi down though. She might have been better saving her breath to try and keep Vivi pinned.

At the very last possible moment the New Orleans native’s shoulder popped up from the mat only to fall back down to the canvas. Vee came to her feet and stared at the referee angrily as he showed her the two. Chandler advanced on him, shoving him backwards as she berated him for the count. Wilson’s expression turned stony as she shoved him again, chewing him out for a slow count which saw the referee return her shove, reminding her that he was the referee; that he was the authority in the figure and his decision was final. Vee looked at him with her mouth agape and almost went to slap him only for Dante to catch her eye as he pulled himself up to stand on the apron and almost begged her not to, pointing behind her. She turned around to find Vivi was getting back to her feet and charged towards the former Future Shock Champion, delivering a running forearm to the jaw. Traeger stumbled back and Vivacious Vee pulled her into the Gratification Cross Roads, slamming her down into the mat before she made the cover, not even bothering to hook the leg this time.

Lexi: Vee is desperately trying to end this, isn’t she?

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zack: I’m not sure VIvi thought she was gonna get this much of a fight out of Vee, but she’s gutting it out here.

At the last moment, Vivi rolled the shoulder to stop the count, the official showing the two count as Vee looked at him in disbelief, punching the mat with a tantrum before she came to her feet and again advanced on the official, grabbing hold of him by the shirt this time, marching him backwards towards the corner and shoving him roughly against the turnbuckle, with an angry expression on her face. Dante quickly stepped through the ropes and eased himself between Vee and the official, trying to calm her down and telling her to go finish off Vivi. Vee continued to give Wilson the stink eye for a moment while Dante started to straighten his shirt, brushing some dust off his shoulders and told him no harm no foul, right? And asked him if he’d like Dante to fetch him a bottle of water. The official told him to get out of the ring so he could do his job, Dante nodding and holding his hands up as he stepped away and through the ropes once more.

Zack: No one but Vee would be disappointed if the referee just threw Knox out of here. Well maybe Vee and the one he always sucks up to, Lacey.

Lexi: I think you’re right that only Vee would be disappointed to be honest, I mean, Lacey isn’t even out here so I don’t think it would affect her much.

Meanwhile Chandler headed back towards her rising foe, pulling the rising New Orleans native to her feet where she went for the Long Kiss Goodnight (Sister Abigail). As she brought her up into position, Chandler took a moment to play to the crowd as she held her in place. Before she could deliver the move though, Vivi kicked her feet upwards and drove a pair of knees into her face. Vee staggered backwards as Traeger landed on the mat in a sitting position. Before the Vivacious one could recover, Vivi rolled backwards and up into a handstand, wrapping her legs around her head and snapped off a headscissors takedown.

Zack: Well executed by Vivi, and this could be the opening she needed after Vee decided to take time out to aggravate these fans.

Vee rolled through and came back to her feet as Vivi also got back to her feet, holding her arm for a moment as she did so. As Chandler turned towards her foe, Traeger charged her, leaving her feet and caught her with the From Treme With Love running bicycle knee. The Wicked Storm manager staggered backwards, her legs turning to jelly beneath her before she finally dropped to one knee. Traeger didn’t waste any time in delivering a shining wizard to the side of the head. The debuting wrestler collapsed to the mat and the Voodoo Queen launched herself into the air once more to deliver a standing senton to her foe before she made the cover, Wilson sliding into position to make the count.

Lexi: Vivi has the cover, and I have a very good feeling that this might just be the one that does it!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zack: A textbook senton from the former Future Shock Champion, but somehow Vee’s still hanging in there, to the surprise of many!

Vee got her shoulder up at the last moment, Wilson waving off the three count and showing the two to all concerned. Vivi looked up at the official, asking him for the three count only for the referee to hold up the two fingers, telling her that the shoulder came up at the last moment. Traeger shook her head and looked down at Vee as Chandler rolled onto her side. Vivi took a deep breath, holding her arm as she came back to her feet and backed up to the corner, encouraging the crowd to cheer her louder. They responded to her encouragement, cheering loudly for her before she began to wave Vee upwards as the blonde slowly began to come to her feet. Chandler turned and the former Future Shock Champion charged her, leaving her feet and drove her down onto the top of her head with the Hurricane Vivienne running swinging DDT. Vivi made the cover, hooking the leg with her left arm as she did so, grimacing in pain as she held her right arm against her body.

Zack: That’s what she was looking for! HURRICANE VIVIENNE made landfall in the Motor City!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: I don’t think anyone is surprised at all that Vivi managed to finally get the three she’s been looking for!

The referee called for the bell and Vivi sat up, holding her arm against her body. She started to come to her feet, Wilson helping her up and raised her good arm into the air.

Kat: Here is your winner, by way of pinfall… VIVI TRAEGER!!!!

Zack: Vivi Traeger just picked up her first win on the biggest stage of them all…no doubt helped by the fact she got to beat Vee senseless in the process.

Lexi: It’s definitely a great night for Vivi, and for anyone who has wanted to see Vee get some measure of comeuppance!

As the crowd cheered the victor loudly, Vivacious Vee rolled out of the ring holding her head, and was met by Dante who helped hold her upright, checking on his client. The crowd cheered Traeger louder as she headed towards the corner and climbed to the middle rope, throwing one arm up in the air before she made a belt motion around her waist.

Kyle & Abi

The show heads to the back after the opening match, and that’s where we find Amber Carano with two guests. One of them is Kyle Kilmeade in a very expensive looking suit. Next to him is none other than Abigail Lindsay, dressed in black jeans and a red halter top.

Amber: Kyle, welcome to Unstoppable 13.

Kyle: I’ve been here before, Amber. And besides you shouldn’t ignore this lady right here. She’s not here for window dressing.

Amber: Well the interview was requested with you. I wasn’t aware Abi was going to be here.

Kyle: You should know by now,, Amber, that anywhere I go, Abi isn’t far away. You’ve seen it again and again over the past few months, haven’t you? She belongs at Unstoppable just as much as I do, honestly.

Amber: Very well. Welcome to Unstoppable 13, Miss Lindsay.

Abigail: Thank you kindly, Amber. Thirteen Unstoppables is quite the feat. Mind blowing in a wrestling landscape where new companies pop up and cease to exist in the blink of an eye. With that said, thirteen, traditionally, isn’t a lucky number. Depends if you’re superstitious. Are you Amber? Are you superstitious?

Amber: Not personally, but you’re right about it not being a good number. It’s certainly not been good for your friend and associate here. After all, Kyle, you only have clients in one of the seven matches on the card tonight.

Kyle: Oh okay, so it’s going to be one of those kinds of interviews. Have it your way. That’s right. I have no control over who gets booked on any card, just so you know. And I fully intend to be the manager of the next Unity Tag Team Champions tonight. But there are other things going on tonight will have me on this show. Not the least of which is right here and now answering questions you requested when I didn’t have to do it. So if you want to continue making this into a verbal joust, you’re not going to win and maybe I’ll let Abi show you how unlucky 13 really is.

Abigail giggles. She places her hands on Kyle’s shoulders, giving him a gentle massage as she stares blankly at Amber.

Abigail: Showing Amber how unfortunate fate could be wouldn’t be much fun. It would be childsplay. Besides, I have a much better idea. Now, per usual, I am only here to ensure no one lays their hands on Kyle. I’d do it for free but since he’s paying me, I might as well do a bang up job. Far as tonight is concerned, who wouldn’t want a front row seat as Valarie and Elizabeth are crowned the brand new Unity Tag Team Champions. The championships wrapped about their gorgeous waist, who doesn’t want that. Besides the current champs, obviously. Eh, minor details.

Abigail stops massaging Kyle. She gets a little closer to Amber.  She cracks a wicked smile.

Abigail: Don’t ever tempt fate again, ok sweetie. Next time you might not be so lucky.

Amber looks more than a little alarmed now as Kyle snaps his fingers to get her attention back on him.

Kyle: I assume you wanted to ask me something about tonight? Or was this just to see about getting a couple shots in?

Amber: No…no. I just wanted to follow up on a tweet of yours. You said you had a surprise tonight for the show. I was curious if you wanted to talk about it.

Kyle: The surprise is still to come, Amber. But I’ll give you this much. I am now the manager of one of the most desired free agents in the sport, and this woman is here tonight in Detroit. I’ll introduce her out there in front of the crowd a little later on, giving her the grand arrival a woman of her caliber deserves. You know I like to make a big deal with my talent.

Amber: So you’ve brought someone to FFW, a new protege.

Kyle: Whatever you want to call it. Tonight will mark her first night being of the FFW roster, she’s never been part of this roster before. You’ll find out with everyone else a little later. See? Even though I have one match to manage on the show tonight, I still can draw a lot of attention. That’s a skill I have in common, one of many, with Abi actually.

Abigail: Trust us, the reveal will steal the show. Shame Kyle’s new client's Hollywood level debut will be wasted on a city like Detroit. Come on, Detroit is the less glamorous version of Gotham City. No one really wants to live here right?

Abigail shivers at the thought of living in Detroit. This won’t win her brownie points with the crowd.

Abigail: Anywho, unless you have something else to ask, this interview is over. Oh, and one more thing.

Abigail reaches into her pocket. She pulls out a card. Amber doesn’t quite know how to react when Abigail hands the card to her.

Abigail: You’re cute. Call me.

Abigail giggles as she takes a step back, exiting Amber’s personal space. Kyle follows her as the show returns to the ring.

The show returns to the ring, and Kat is ready to begin the next introductions as she lifts the microphone to speak.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is for the FFW Phoenix Championship!

Zack: It’s our first of four championship matches on Unstoppable, and this will mark the champion’s first time competing on this event as well. Think Mara’s got some butterflies?

Lexi: I don’t know about that. I mean, she’s bound to have some but she doesn’t strike me as the type that would let them get to her too much, you know?

Diamond and the Gem Stones begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does we are able to see the likes of the Gem Stones playing on a tron. Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire are all playing various instruments as we are able to see Diamond Steele emerging from the curtain with a microphone in her hand. She sings as loudly as she can to the sound of boos. Diamond smirks as the constant boos just cause her to sing even louder.

Kat: Ladies and gentlemen making her way to the ring she is…

Diamond smirks as she uses her own microphone to quickly cut off Kat. She proceeds to do her own introduction.

Diamond: Ladies and gentlemen making my way to the ring. Being accompanied by all of my Gem Stones of Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald! I am the SHINING STAR, I AM THE SPARKLING SENSATION, THE SADISTIC SIREN, THE GLITTERING GODDESS, THE SORCERESS OF SUBMISSIONS, THE MISTRESS OF THE MICROPHONE AND THE CONQUERER OF CATCH WRESTLING. Weighing in at 7.5 STONE from LONDON ENGLAND! I AM DIAMOND STEELE!

Diamond stops to take in the boos of the audience. She points to the entrance curtain where Ruby Steele, Sapphire Taylor, and Emerald Mcadams all make their way out to join her. Together they finally make it to the ring. Diamond quickly runs up the ring steps and she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she flips off the booing crowd. She throws the microphone to the side before she cracks a wicked grin. She opens up a pocket mirror and takes a moment to admire how beautiful her hair is as she waits for the match to begin.

Zack: It has been seven years since the last time this woman was part of Unstoppable. Let me tell you, she’s nothing like she was then. People liked her then, but tonight this pompous brat with a mile of nicknames may become the new Phoenix Champion!

Lexi: Let’s all hope that she doesn’t, because I can only imagine how much more obnoxious and annoying she would become if she does!

The scene cut back to find an image of a blazing hot sun hanging over a field of yellowing grass and dirt before it continued to sweep down, finding a long queue of men on one side of the stage; a long queue of women on the other. All of them were clad  in orange prison issue jumpsuits, attached at the navel by a chain running through stern metal loops on sturdy leather belts fastened around their waists. Each man had a pickaxe or sledgehammer slung over their shoulders. As they marched towards a collection of rocks and boulders, a man on woman began to sing together.

“Hoh ah, hoh, I hear something saying
Hoh ah, hoh ah
Hoh ah, hoh ah”

On each Hoh-ah the rest of the chain gang, slapped a thigh and stomped a foot down in perfect unison.

“Well don't you know”

The chain gangs continued to move in rhythmic unison as they responded.

“That's the sound of the men
Working on the chain, gang (chain, gang)
That's the sound of the men
Working on the chain, gang (chain, gang)”

Again the leads took over, with the main troupe responding to them.

“All day long they're saying, hoh ah
Hoh ah, hoh ah, hoh ah”

As they got into position amongst the rocks and boulders, a man dressed in a olive shirt and black dress trousers with creases so sharp they look like they could cut. A sour look upon his face, cast in shade by the Smokey Bear hat resting on his head. He had a shotgun resting across his lap. As they continued to sing he seemed to roll a bad taste around his mouth before ejecting it from between his lips in a big ball of spittle.

“Well don't you know
That's the sound of the men
Working on the chain, gang (chain, gang)
That's the sound of the men
Working on the–”

The man on the horse brought the singing to a halt as he screeched.

“BOYS AND GIRLS!!! This ain’t no sing-song. This is time to work, kids. Get on Wit’ it!”

He got a momentary look from both sets before they half shrugged and began to swing their tools bringing them down into the rocks. As they started to break down the rocks, the camera cut to the side of the stage where a large statured man, collar of the suit popped up to hide his face, had moved the chain to sit over the rock, allowing him to bring his pickaxe crashing down into the links. After a couple of seconds the sound of the swinging metal on stone started off as a cacophony, before it quickly settled into a slow rhythm recognisable to the crowd.

After a few blows with the axe head, the chain keeping the big guy attached to the rest of the chain gang, snapped in half freeing him. The man moved quickly towards the officer on the horse, bringing his right hand down with a slap on its hind quarters. The animal reared up, almost sending the officer crashing to the ground - he held on just as the horse bolted for the side of the stage. The camera finally caught sight of the big man’s face, the crowd recognising him as Rag ‘N’ Bone Man. He ripped open his jumpsuit to reveal a Mara Werth shirt underneath as he brought out a microphone and started to sing. The members of the chain gang also starting to free themselves from their bonds and started to break out into a choreographed routine.

"I'm only human
I'm only—I'm only—
I'm only human, human”

Two of the dancers moved towards the biggest boulder on the stage, with their sledge hammers primed, rearing back and swinging for all their might into the rock. It cracked open in two like an egg and Mara Werth stepped out. The wrestler wearing her black boots, blue skirt and white vest top with the FFW Phoenix Championship belt slung over her shoulder. She grinned at the crowd as she reached up and tied her hair back with the bobble around her wrist.

Maybe I'm foolish,
Maybe I'm blind
Thinking I can see through this
And see what's behind
Got no way to prove it
So maybe I'm lying!

She stepped forwards, over the detritus of the rock that was left and raised the title belt high before she stepped forwards and high fived the musical artist.

Rag N Bone man: Ladies and gentlemen please welcome from Tuscaloosa, Alabama… the REIGNING…the DEFENDING… FFW PHOENIX CHAMPION... MAAAAARRRRRAAAAAAA WWWWWWEEEEEEERRRRRRRTTTTTTTHHHHHHHH!!!

But I'm only human after all,
I'm only human after all
Don't put your blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

With a smile on her face she begins to head down the ramp to the ring, running up the ring steps. She moved down the apron, facing out to the crowd and threw her arms up into the air, raising the title aloft before she stepped through the ropes.

'Cause I'm only human after all,
You're only human after all
Don't put the blame on me
Don't put your blame on me

Heading to the corner, the girl carefully stepped up onto the middle ropes, throwing her hands up into the air again, holding the title above her head before she bounced back onto her feet and passed the title belt off to the referee. She stretched as she waited for the match to start.

Zack: What an entrance for Mara! As I said a moment ago, this is her first time competing on this stage! It’s hard to bet against her, but as we know, a match with Diamond is never just a match with Diamond when you have all these flunkies that follow her everywhere she goes.

Lexi: That entrance was spectacular! You can see how much Mara is buying into the atmosphere and grandeur of Unstoppable, can’t you? If she can use that to fuel her, I think Diamond is going to be in serious trouble here tonight.

As Kat leaves the ring, referee Ashley Pruitt takes Mara’s title and shows it to Diamond. She quickly snatches it up and leans through the ropes to tell Emerald to take a picture of her with it. The manager does what she’s asked, taking more than one before Diamond raises it over her head for the Detroit fans to see. They don’t show any admiration at all for her, much less Mara who is already heading towards her as the referee calls for the bell to start the match.

Zack: That title doesn’t belong to Diamond Steele just yet, and she may be glad she got those pictures taken now that Mara’s heading right for her!

Lexi: You’d think she’d wait until she actually won the title before taking pictures with it, wouldn’t you?

Diamond was still showing it to the crowd when Mara spun her around, and yanked her into a short arm clothesline that sent her to the mat. The challenger dropped the title on the canvas before Mara pulled her up by the arm and started laying in forearms to the side of her head. The Detroit crowd ate it up as she whipped Diamond to the far side, and scooped her up on the rebound into a military press before slamming her to the mat. Werth collected her title, and held it up to a loud response from the fans before handing it through the ropes to Lexi.

Zack: That’s what happens when you put your hands on other people’s property, especially in the case of championship titles you haven’t earned.

Lexi: This crowd loves to see Diamond getting knocked on her butt don’t they?! You really can’t blame them either, she’s not the most likable of people. And yes, Zack, that’s me being generous since it’s Unstoppable and all.

Mara turned back to see Diamond getting up, and rushing her with a running shoulder block. It dropped her where she stood before the champion took off again, mowing her down with a second one. When Steele got up for a third time, Werth whipped her into the far corner and followed after her with a corner clothesline. A high angle hip toss sent her over to the canvas, and caused Diamond to quickly roll under the ropes. That prompted the referee to stop Mara from going to get her.

Zack: Diamond is a veteran of this sport, she has a lot more years in it than Mara. And that’s a veteran move right there, use the ropes to make the referee keep you safe.

Lexi: There is a lot to be said for veteran experience, but there’s also a hell of a lot to be said for the kind of raw, natural ability that Mara has been showing since her first days in Future Shock.

Mara tried to sidestep Pruitt to get to her, but the referee held her ground. Emerald came around to her client to whisper into her ear before Diamond slowly got back to her feet in the ring. As soon as she saw Mara start moving towards her, Steele ducked her head between the ropes to make the referee stop Mara again. Pruitt encouraged the champion to give her room, and that was when Diamond ducked back into the ring and caught her with a thumb to the eye over the referee’s shoulder. The boos began right there as Diamond shoved the referee out of the way, pulled Mara’s head down into a side headlock to drive closed fists into her face. Enough of them landed to put the champion on her knees, and Diamond used an ax kick to the back of her head to put her face down on the mat. Then she took a moment to talk smack to the crowd.

Zack: Diamond finally found an opening, albeit a cheap one. And what does she do with it? She gets the champion down, and decides to irritate 80,000 plus here at Ford Field!

Lexi: You’d think with a Championship on the line that she might, you know, do something really out there, like focus on trying to win?! But what do I know?

As she does this, Mara makes it back to her feet. And when the challenger turns around, she turns into a flurry of right hands from the champion! Werth rocks her backwards into the ropes before sending her across with an Irish whip. Diamond barely rebounds off the ropes before a lariat from Mara sends her to the canvas. She scoops the challenger over her shoulder for a running powerslam followed by a cover with the leg hooked.

Zack: Diamond’s getting her clock cleaned, and Mara could be close for her first win at Unstoppable!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Steele got the shoulder up as the two count was coming down. The champion pulled her up by the head, and lifted her onto her shoulders again. This time, she connected with snake eyes in the corner. It sent Diamond stumbling out of the corner before Werth used a discus lariat to put her down on the canvas again.

Lexi: Diamond might have saved herself from the three count, but judging by the way Mara’s knocking her around, she might wish that she hadn’t!

The Detroit fans were getting louder in favor of Mara. The champion nodded her head as Diamond was starting to get up, and took off for the far side ropes. Emerald hooked her foot though, and stopped her. But Werth turned around instead of falling down, and reached through the ropes to grab the manager by the hair.

Zack: Emerald waited longer than I thought she would get involved, and she’s already about to get what’s coming to her!

Lexi: Anybody at ringside who gets involved in a match or puts their hand on someone, really deserves whatever they get. I’ve got no sympathy for her at all.

As Mara started to pull her up onto the apron, Diamond punted her in the abdomen and dropped her to her knees. The challenger raked her face across the middle rope before using a standing sidekick to her ear to send her over sideways to the mat. When she spotted Mara getting to all fours, Diamond connected with a springboard leg drop before making the cover.

Zack: This could be premature, Lexi!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Mara shoved her off the cover with both hands, and Diamond dove back on top of her with straight right hands to the side of her head. Steele hit the far side, using a baseball slide to send Mara out to the floor before pulling the referee’s attention to her as the Gem Stones started to circle around Mara.

Lexi: There was no chance that was going to keep Mara down, but she’s somewhere she doesn’t really want to be right now, and outnumbered to boot.

While Diamond distracted the referee, Emerald pulled Mara up and pinned her arms behind her back. Sapphire was about to nail her when the referee turned back around and saw the pair. They immediately stopped what they were doing, and the referee leaned through the ropes to tell them they were officially ejected from the arena. Neither Emerald, Sapphire, or Diamond in the ring was happy about that.

Zack: Thank you! We saw what they were about to do, and that’s clobber Mara! Emerald and Sapphire are being thrown out of Ford Field!

Lexi: Did I ever mention how much I like this official?! Pruitt is taking no nonsense from the Gem Stones tonight!

Ruby watched from around the corner as the pair were escorted back up the ramp. Mara made it back into the ring next as Diamond was still arguing with the referee. That didn’t last long before Werth used a double leg takedown to put her on the mat to deliver mounted punches to the side of her head. Steele managed to monkey flip her off to the mat, and get back to her feet. But Mara was up about as quick, and caught her with a running elbow to the mouth. It staggered the wannabe rock star before she got fired into the far corner. Werth followed after her looking for a running European uppercut, but Diamond got her boot up instead. It connected with Werth’s jaw before Steele hooked her head for a float over DDT.

Zack: Diamond’s trying to slow Mara’s momentum, and that might have done it. I guess she can be happy she still has Ruby out here.

Lexi: I’m really surprised that Ruby has come out with her you know, considering this should have been her match. She’s a more forgiving person than me that’s for sure… or more of a doormat, depending how you look at it.

Steele took a second to collect herself before putting the boots to the back of Mara’s head. The champion was dragged to her feet, and shoved into the corner before Diamond unleashed a torrent of kicks to the body. Spinning heel kicks, savate kicks, and a yakuza kick all landed before Steele scooped her up for a Death Valley driver followed by a pin attempt.

Zack: Diamond kicks like a mule, and may be about to leave Detroit with the Phoenix title!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOO!!!

Mara kicked out after the two count landed, and Diamond sat on her back to apply a camel clutch with both hands clasped under the champion’s chin.

Lexi: No! Mara still has juice left in the tank but how long that will last with Diamond on her back like that is another story.

The referee knelt in front of Mara to see if she wanted to stop the match, but the champion refused to do that. Diamond tried to add more pressure to the hold by leaning back further, and Mara’s face began to darken as a result. Pruitt checked again, still not getting the champion to ask for the bell. Steele told her to quit more than once, and seemed to get more agitated that she didn’t. She kept one hand under her chin, and drove closed fists into her jaw with the other before locking the hold in again.

Zack: Diamond wants Mara to stop the match, but Mara’s not one to call it a night that quickly. The challenger is obviously not very patient either.

Lexi: I really can’t imagine that Mara is going to submit on FFW’s grandest stage with the title she’s worked so hard to win and defend on the line… but sometimes you don’t get a choice. There’s only so much a body can take.

Mara still refused to quit, and Diamond finally broke the hold. Instead she dropped down to her side, and pulled Werth’s arms around her neck into a straitjacket choke. The challenger told her if she didn’t want to quit, she wouldn’t give her the option. Werth’s face began darkening again as Diamond pulled back on the hold, deepening the choke as a result.

Zack: This hold doesn’t require Mara to quit. She can just get choked out by Diamond! It’s a race against time for the champion to find a way out or find herself unconscious and without the Phoenix title when she wakes up.

Lexi: Mara needs to tap into the energy from the crowd, this stadium are fully behind her, they’d all rather see her leave with the title than Diamond. C’mon Mara! You’ve got this!

Steele pushed up on her feet to get even more pressure, and Werth’s face was darker than ever at this point. Pruitt asked the champion about stopping the match, but Mara didn’t answer. Instead she kicked her feet behind her and managed to get one across the bottom rope. Pruitt spotted it, and called for the break. Steele glanced behind her to see it for herself, and muttered angrily as a result.

Zack: I don’t know that Mara knew the ropes were behind her or that was pure luck. Either way, it’s gotten her out of that predicament, which is what matters.

Lexi: Luck or instinct, it doesn’t matter. Like you said, it got her out of a sticky situation which is the important part.

The challenger dragged Mara away from the ropes, and pulled her to her feet into a front facelock. Diamond hoisted her up for a brainbuster that connected perfectly before she hooked the leg to go for the cover.

Zack: Mara’s tank may be empty, and if it is, we’re 3 seconds from a new Phoenix Champion!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NO.

Werth got her shoulder up in time, and Diamond stomped the back of her head again repeatedly. She doubled back for the corner, and made her way to the top rope for a leg drop….but Mara rolled out of the way. Diamond landed on her butt, frozen in pain as a result.

Lexi: Ha! Don’t you just love to see someone like Diamond landing on her ass like that?! Or am I just a terrible person?!

The Detroit crowd was chanting for the champion now as Mara was trying to get her breath back. She made it to her feet finally, and Diamond wasn’t far behind her before the champion pulled her forward into a flurry of arm-trapped headbutts to the face. The champion scooped her up from there into a Michinoku driver on top of her head before hooking the outside leg to make the cover.

Zack: Mara’s coming back, and Diamond doesn’t know if she’s in Detroit or Denmark!

ONE!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THRE-NOOOOOO!!

Steele got her shoulder off the mat in time before the three, and Mara slowly got back to her feet. She was still trying to get her wind back as she patted her knee, waving for Diamond to get back to her feet.

Lexi: I think that was the closest we’ve come to a pinfall so far in this match, but still not quite enough. Mara needs to stay on her here.

But Steele wasn’t moving all that quickly either. She finally started to her feet when Mara went for her spinning knee strike….except Diamond pulled the referee in front of her. Mara laid out Pruitt instead with her finisher. The champion’s mouth fell open as she leaned down to check on her…and Diamond kicked her between the legs.

Zack: Uh oh! Mara hit WERTHWHILE….but Diamond used the referee for a meat shield! And we’ve got a major problem now!

Lexi: Why am I not surprised?! Diamond will use anyone to cover her own ass won’t she?!

Steele looked over at Ruby, and told her to go get the jewel-encrusted microphone she brought to the ring. Ruby grabbed it from the timekeeper’s table, and headed before Diamond told her to give it to her. Ruby was about to…but stopped herself and shook her head.

Zack: Diamond wants to use that microphone to knock Mara into next week…but Ruby won’t give it to her! Atta girl, Ruby!

Lexi: Maybe Ruby’s not quite as much of a doormat as I first thought.

Diamond demanded the microphone, shouting at Ruby to hand it over to her. A quick glance towards the referee showed Pruitt was still down, and Steele reached through the ropes to grab it out of Ruby’s hands. But she wouldn’t let go, and it was a tug of war now.

Lexi: Keep a tight hold of that Ruby! Or even better, smack Diamond upside the head with it.

Ruby finally yanked the microphone away from her bandmate, and Diamond got spun around by a waiting Mara into her spinning knee strike! It landed perfectly before Mara dove for the cover while another referee was hot footing it towards the ring.

Zack: WERTHWHILE!! And we got another referee on the way!!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

The new referee, Stephen Wilson, called for the bell as the Detroit crowd came to its feet. Mara got back to her feet, and got her hand raised despite moving a little slow due to the low blow.

Kat: Your winner by pinfall……………..AND STIIIIIIIIIILL FFW Phoenix Champion………MARA WERTH!!

Lexi: YES! What a result.

The referee returned Mara’s title to her as Ruby stepped into the ring. The champion gave her a long look before telling her she was going to have her shot and thanked her.

Zack: Congratulations to Mara on successfully defending her Phoenix title, and giving a little respect to Ruby for stopping what could have been a travesty.

Lexi: Mara worked hard for this defense, and it is nice to see that there may be some hope for Ruby yet.

Werth raised her title over her head with a tired smile towards all four corners. She then hopped down to the floor. Diamond was slowly starting to recover in the ring, and made it back to her feet. She glanced over to Mara with the title, and back to Ruby with a scowl on her face. Then she started berating her for costing her the title.

Zack: Mara retains the title fair and square….and Diamond’s blaming Ruby for it! Ruby didn’t get her ass pinned to the mat, did she?

Lexi: No she did not. All she did was stop Diamond from cheating her way to stealing a Championship.

Ruby stood her ground as Diamond continued to blame her. The fatal mistake was when she slapped her across the face….and Ruby’s eyes widened. And with one superkick, Ruby dropped DIamond in the center of the ring and the crowd erupted! Mara gave her a thumbs up from the aisle as well.

Zack: To a nicer girl it couldn’t have happened! Ruby dropped Diamond like a bad habit, and it sounds like she’s won the support of everyone in Ford Field for doing it!

Lexi: Diamond really has had that coming for a while. Well done, Ruby.

Ruby started to smile at the response she was getting before glancing down to Diamond and dropping the microphone she wanted to use. And as she left the ring, the show went to a commercial for the Sydney Supershow on FFW All Access.

Crystal Comes Home

We find ourselves backstage at Ford Field and it is there where we can see a woman with brunette hair standing in front of a camera. She cracks a wicked grin as she looks right into the heart of the cameras with a microphone in her hands.

Felicia: It has been a long time since the days of me interning as a young broadcasting student from UCLA but for those who may not remember me I am Felicia Atherton. I am the first cousin of the greatest Evolution Champion of all time in Casey Atherton. I am a devoted follower but tonight I stand before you as the woman who can say that she has a successful job as the Executive Vice President of Broadcasting for Rose Productions Movie Studio part of Rose Corp… I guess what that means…

The crowd in the background is already yelling as loud as they possibly can and it is at that moment that Crystal Zdunich appears on the screen. She is all grins as she smirks and looks around.

Crystal: I AM BACK, AND I AM HOME!!!!!!!!!!!! Felicia not to rain on your parade but when it comes to best ever Evolution Champion ever, I do believe that these fans would say that I am that woman. Isn’t that right?!

CRYSTAL!
CRYSTAL!
CRYSTAL!

Crystal: Damn it feels so good to be here in Detroit for the biggest show of the year. This has been 6 years in the making but damn it I am where I need to be. Now Detroit is home to many different things and I know it won’t be long until I step into the ring with Savannah and prove to her that those from the past still have it. Tonight is just a small step in my ultimate conquest to get to the top of this company! Savannah may have the name STAR but nobody will shine like I am about to tonight!

Felicia: I would say from the reaction that this crowd is fully behind you. Tonight is your first Unstoppable back and what surprises do you have for us?!

Crystal: Well Detroit is home to many different things. Obviously it’s me but let me introduce to you two women that were born in this very city. It won’t be long until they make their debut and even though the signing has been made a while ago and I know Emily is still working out the details of her biography for the web site purposes let me bring to you my daughter and my niece. Brittany and Emily Williams DreamBloom 2.0!!!

Brittany cracks a wicked grin as she looks at the camera as the fans cheer them on. Emily is more bubbly as she waves to the camera.

Brittany: You know I was born here but I really don’t really much. I am more of a California girl and…

Emily: It feels so GOOD TO BE HERE IN THE MOTOR CITY… I WAS BORN HERE… I LIVE DETROIT, I BREATHE DETROIT, AND I CAN’T WAIT TO FINALLY GET INTO THE RING… For those who may not know. I am Emily and I am a pretty new face. I am the daughter of Steve Hilton and Jennifer Williams. My mother wrestled a bit in this company and it’s going to be awesome to compete as DreamBloom 2.0 or was it the Williams Clan2.0?!

All of a sudden we see a figure drinking mountain dew walking onto the scene. She is wearing a cloak and has a light saber sheathed at her side. She smiles as the crowd goes nuts.

Jenny: There is so much going on tonight but is it too early to say that I am also back?! You can’t have my daughter on the roster without having me return as well. There is so much left to accomplish and considering I lived in Detroit for my high school years this seemed like the perfect place to return. It won’t be long until we all get into the fold but tonight it’s just about Crystal. It’s about her going out there and proving without a shadow of a doubt that she is the best of the best!

Felicia: Is that so?!

Crystal nods her head with a smile.

Crystal: You got that right… But I want you to do me a favor Felicia.

Felicia: Yes Crystal?!

Crystal smiles warmly.

Crystal: You tell your cousin that after I take care of business tonight. I am on a one way trip to main event Unstoppable next year. I will be making my way to getting the FFW Championship and that is something I am guaranteeing, but a pit stop to getting there would be me taking that Evolution Championship off of her hands. We have history and she WAS one of my best friends, but I will use the POSITIVE MENTAL ATTITUDE that she taught me from years ago to positively liberate her from the title. I am a devout follower… But the only beliefs I have are in reading the book that is Crystal Hilton… I will see her soon… Tonight it’s about getting through Savannah Star and making check marks on the rest of the competition…

Crystal grins.

Crystal: Welcome to my city… It’s time to sit the world ablaze in only the way that a burning rose can!!!

With that the Williams all walk away as we go elsewhere.

Kat: The following match is scheduled for one fall to a finish and is for the FFW Unity Tag Team Championships!!

Zack: As you just heard, the Unity Tag Titles are on the line coming right up. And for those of you who are Future Shock fans, you know there’s plenty of history between a particular member of each  of the teams we’re about to see, namely Mila and Elizabeth.

Lexi: You’re not kidding. Those two went to war over in Future Shock, with a lot of firsts amongst them when they did.

A new song begins to play before Kyle Kilmeade appears on the stage to a chorus of boos from the Nashville crowd. He snaps his fingers before someone retrieves a microphone for him.

I′ve been going crazy, lately I've been getting busy (Yeah)
Nowadays they know I'm up and so I see too many friendlies (Ayy)
I've been going crazy, lately I've been getting busy (Yeah)
And she says that I′m a bad guy, but I promise I ain′t Billie (Yeah)
Lately I've been feeling like I′ll be the greatest in my city (Woah)

Kyle: I’ll handle it from here, Kat. Ladies and gentlemen, it is my distinct pleasure to introduce you to the next challengers for the FFW Unity Tag Team Championship! They are POWER & PRESTIGE, made up of….

Only thing I'm tryna do is go and pop like an Achilles (Yuh)
Don′t come asking me for nothing, only thing you get is pity (Nah)

Out from the back emerges the beautiful Elizabeth Lannister. Stepping out onto the stage, she takes Kyle’s outstretched hand and promptly twirls around slowly, showing off the intricate work on her robe. Dropping his hand, Elizabeth nods and starts to walk down the aisle. The Phoenix crowd roars for the “Lioness!”

Latеly she been on my bad side (True)
Acting like she know me, say she met me in a past life (Hell, nah)
Ayy, had to tell her she should act right (Ayy)
She just wanna talk about the time we had last night (Woah)

Kyle: From Scottsdale, Arizona, this is “The Lioness” Elizabeth Lannister!

A few seconds pass before the controversial redhead, Valerie McKinley makes her way out from behind the curtain and stands in the immediate center of the stage, standing in the gold spotlight. Clad in a mid-thigh length leather jacket worn open over her gear, Valerie looks around at the crowd showering her with a rousing chorus of boos.

Kyle: She’s the “Crown Jewel” and one of the best technical wrestlers on the planet….Valerie McKinley! Together, they are POWER & PRESTIGE!!

Zack: It was Unstoppable 12 one year ago when these two ladies tried to take the titles from NHB at Wembley Stadium. Tonight, it’s the team that dethroned NHB. And to the surprise of no one, Valerie and Elizabeth are supremely confident.

Lexi: Of course they are. Luckily for them, they’re there own biggest fans, because I don’t think they’ve got many other fans out the back.

The video wall goes black for a second before clouds come rolling in over a city skyline. Thunder rumbles and lightning strikes before the video cuts to highlights of Mila and Caitlyn’s previous match. When Gives You Hell by The All-American Rejects starts to play, they both step out onto the stage. Caitlyn bounces on her heels with a smile as she hears the crowd, while Mila cracks her knuckles. The blonde pats the title on her waist with a bigger grin, while Mila looks at hers over her shoulder. And when Storm takes off towards the ring, Mila walks behind her with a steely expression before they hit the ring.

Kat: At a total combined weight of 255 pounds, they are the reigning/defending FFW Unity Tag Team Champions…. “MIDNIGHT” MILA MARTIN and CAITLYN STORM…...THE MIDNIGHT STORM!!

Mila stretches her legs against the ropes as Caitlyn bounces on her feet with enthusiasm. The pair hand their titles off to the referee. They turn their attention to the opponents next, awaiting the bell to ring.

Zack: I’ve been told by many wrestlers that your first defense is always the hardest. No one wants to go down in history as one note wonders, and I’m sure the champions are no different.

Lexi: Caitlyn and Mila have put in a lot of prep work for tonight. After how long it took them to get the titles, you know they’ve worked harder than ever to make sure that they keep a tight hold of them.

Jennifer Stringer was the official in charge of the match and took the Unity Title belts from the two members of the Midnight Storm, showing them to Valerie and Elizabeth and then to the crowd before passing them off to a ringside attendant. She told the two teams to decide who was going to start the match, Caitlyn and the Lioness stepping through the ropes to the apron and taking up their positions in the corner. Stringer called for the bell and immediately Valerie and Midnight moved towards the middle of the ring, staring each other down for a moment or two before the Rhode Islander reared back and slapped her foe across the jaw, turning her head to the side. Almost immediately Martin turned back to face her opponent, holding her jaw and struck with a hard slap of her own; the force causing Val to take a half step to the side and held the side of her face before she turned back towards the former army officer; the Londoner waving her forwards.

Zack: There may not be two better technical wrestlers in the sport than Valerie and Mila, and we’re about to see them start things off here. Though as we know, Valerie isn’t above a shortcut here and there.

Lexi: Valerie might not be above a shortcut, but Mila is just the type to knock her down a couple of pegs for trying. She can be feisty when she’s fired up, don’t you think?

Immediately McKinley came at the Englishwoman and started to throw forearms into the side of the head. Martin replying in kind as the pair of them slammed forearms into the side of each others heads in quick succession. The two wrestlers stepped backwards at the same moment, staring at each other once more for a moment before McKinley made the title belt motion around her waist then stepped forwards and yet again fired off a stiff slap to the side of Mila’s face, snapping her head to the side as she did so. This time as Midnight turned to look back at her opponent, the One Percenter raked her eyes. With the Englishwoman temporarily blinded the former Gold Standard member jerked her forwards into a raised knee to the gut followed by a second and a third before she grabbed hold of her opponent’s hair and walked her over to the Power and Prestige corner, Lannister raising her foot to rest her ankle on the top rope as Mila was sent face first into the sole of the Lioness’s boot twice.

Zack: Mila caught a boot from Elizabeth, and those two have had their fair share of wars throughout their time in Future Shock. Clearly old wounds haven’t healed.

Lexi: I don’t think the wounds between those two will ever heal. I don’t think it’s any secret that they can’t stand each other.

The army veteran reeled backwards into a kick to the gut from McKinley, doubling her over before she planted her into the canvas with a snap DDT. Martin started to push back up to her feet, getting to all fours as Valerie stood up and made the tag to Lannister. As the Lioness stepped through the ropes, the One Percenter pulled Midnight to her feet and into a full nelson, trapping her arms as Elizabeth measured her up and drove a fist into her gut as the referee told Valerie to let the Unity Champion go and leave the ring. McKinley ignored Stringer as she kept the hold applied, the official starting the five count as Lannister landed three more closed fists to Martin’s stomach before McKinley released and stepped through the ropes to the outside. Mila dropped to one knee, hunched over, holding her stomach as she was released which saw the Lioness drop down to one knee, taunting the army veteran for a moment before she snapped her head backwards with an European uppercut, bringing Martin to her feet as she stumbled to the ropes.

Zack: They’re picking up right where they left off from a couple years ago. Mila didn’t care for Elizabeth’s attitude then, and nothing has changed now.

Lexi: You’d think with their history, Elizabeth would know that taunting Mila is going to lead to nothing but a pissed off Mila… which isn’t something that you really want to have on your hands, is it?

Quickly Lannister came back to her feet and stepped forwards, driving another raised knee into Mila’s midsection before she grabbed hold of her wrist and fired her across the ring. Martin hit the far ropes and came back only for Elizabeth to meet her with a running knee lift into her midsection that flipped her over to the canvas. Midnight sat up, holding her midriff and found herself pulled the rest of the way to a vertical base where she was shoved back into the Power and Prestige corner. Lannister grabs hold of the top rope to start firing off a series of kicks into the stomach. Stringer told the blonde to let her foe out of the corner, starting the five count, Lannister milking it for the full extent of the count before she stepped back for a moment only to then raise her boot and press it against Mila’s throat. The official once more called for the break and again the Lioness used the full extent of the five count, releasing it just in the nick of time. Stringer warned her about milking the counts which caused the Gold Standard member to remind Stringer that she had the five count and that she was within her rights to use it, distracting the official as McKinley on the apron dropped to one knee and started to club away at Midnight’s midriff through the ropes, standing back up straight and taking a step away with her arms raised just as the official turned back around; Stringer eyeing her suspiciously.

Zack: What was it I said about Valerie not being above taking shortcuts in a match?

Lexi: Neither Valerie or Elizabeth have ever met a corner they wouldn’t cut, have they?

As McKinley told the referee she didn’t do anything, Lannister stepped forwards, grabbing  hold of Martin with two handfuls of hair as she pulled her out of the corner, driving two more kicks into her midsection before she jerked her down into a hair pull gutbuster across her bended knee. Standing back up, The Lioness tagged in her partner, swapping places with her as McKinley stepped towards Mila as the army veteran was beginning to come to her feet and hooked in an abdominal stretch, exposing her ribcage as she did and delivered a slap to her body, following it up with a pair of elbows. The referee dropped to one knee in front of the Unity Champion and asked her if she wanted to quit, getting a ‘No’ from Mila as Valerie reached behind her, her partner grabbing her by the wrist and leaning backwards as McKinley wrenched up on the hold; Mila’s grimace becoming more pronounced as her side was further strained.

Zack: You know the champions extremely well, Lexi. Tell us how focused they’ve been on tonight walking into the biggest stage of their careers defending the tag titles.

Lexi: They have talked of nothing else from the moment that they knew about this match and they’ve worked long and hard to make sure that they are both at the peak of their fitness. They know they’ve got a big challenge ahead of them, but I have full faith in them to get the job done!

The referee looked up a moment after Lannister released her grip on her partner’s wrist and was instead clapping her on and encouraging her from the apron as the One Percenter returned to driving elbow strikes into the ribs. The referee once more went to check on Mila and again the two members of Power and Prestige worked together for additional leverage in the hold while Mila again refused to submit, letting out another cry of pain in response to the added strain. Again the referee looked up and found nothing untoward as Lannister told her to ring the bell and crown the rightful, new champions, even as McKinley delivered another pair of elbows into the exposed abdominal area of her opponent. Once more Stringer went back to check on Martin, shifting her position slight as the Lioness again reached out to help her partner make the hold more painful and as she did so, the official stood up and came around, catching the pair red handed and immediately told Lannister to let go before she kicked upwards, catching their hands causing them to let go of each other.

Zack: Every trick in the book, we’re seeing it. You can see how badly Valerie and Elizabeth want to leave Detroit with the Unity titles. Going by what they said, I think they might have preferred it to be NHB they faced.

Lexi: Well boo hoo for them. They have Midnight Storm to deal with and that’s more than a handful for anyone - and no that’s not any bias on my part saying that. It’s cold hard facts, Zack!

Elizabeth immediately started to berate the official for kicking her, Kyle doing likewise from ringside as Stringer threatened to disqualify them. As this was going on Mila managed to counter out of the hold with a hip toss that sent McKinley down to the canvas before Martin staggered backwards and caught the Lioness with a back elbow, sending her off the apron to the floor. Lannister held her jaw on the outside as Mila rested against the ropes, holding one arm against her body with a grimace of pain on her face only to charge forwards as McKinley came to her feet and took her down to the mat with a crooked arm lariat before she started to stagger towards Caitlyn in the corner. Storm stretched her arm out towards her partner as Martin stepped towards her and just as the army veteran was about to make the tag, Lannister jerked Caitlyn’s feet out from under her, the bubbly blonde crashing jaw first into the apron as she dropped to the floor. As Storm staggered away, holding her jaw, the Lioness grabbed hold of the back of her neck and her head, spinning her around and hurling her into the ring steps before she backed up. Stringer orders her back to her corner only for Lannister to fire back at her. Mila glared at her from in the ring for a moment before she started to step through the ropes but as she did so, McKinley came forwards and kicked the middle rope, sending it straight up between her legs, freezing her in place.

Zack: There’s a look from Mila that’ll send chills down your spine. I wouldn’t want her looking at me like that. Thankfully, I’m out here with you.

Lexi: McKinley might have stopped her temporarily but you know that’s not going to last long with how pissed off she’s bound to be now.

With a grin on her face, the One Percenter went to pull Mila into position for a hangman DDT, playing to the crowd for a moment which allowed Mila to counter out of the move, bringing her feet off the ropes to the mat where she lifted Valerie up off her feet and drove her backwards into a neutral corner.Three more shoulder thrusts followed that before Martin wrapped her arms around her waist once more, pulling her back out of the corner as she lifted her up once more and this time slammed her down hard into the canvas. Quickly Martin took up the mount position and started to fire off hammer like forearms to McKinley’s face. The One Percenter managed to cover up and take the majority of the shots on her forearms as the referee called for the break and started the count. Midnight rolled away on four and rose back up to her feet, bringing her foe up with her and straight into a single knee facebreaker. McKinley stumbled backwards a step and found herself taken down to the mat with a drop toe hold, Midnight instantly transitioning from that into an STF, pulling back on Valerie’s head to apply as much pressure as possible to her neck as she did so.

Zack: Now we’re right in Mila’s wheelhouse. Valerie is in particular, and you can tell she’d rather be anywhere else right now.

Stringer dropped down to ask the One Percenter if she wanted to quit as she reached out towards the bottom rope, screaming ‘No’ at the referee as best she could while Kyle moved around into McKinley’s eye line and encouraged her, telling her how close she was to the ropes. Midnight wrenched further on the hold as she pulled backwards a little more in the hold and McKinley still refused to submit as she used her hands to start to pull herself forwards, Kilmeade leaning on the ropes to push it towards and she gratefully grabbed hold of it as Kyle stepped back, hands raised innocently all while demanding the referee break the hold. Stringer called for the break and started the count, Martin once more letting go and rolling away at four.

Zack: Mila got every drop she could out of the submission before she was forced to let go. A DQ would just force a rematch, and I’m sure they’d rather move on from Power & Prestige tonight.

Lexi: Can you blame them? Especially Mila, I think she’s had more than her fair share of having to deal with Elizabeth, don’t you?

Valerie started to pull herself upwards to her feet with the help of the ring ropes but as she did so, Martin rushed her into the ropes from behind, jerking her down into an O’Connor roll but instead of holding for a pinfall, she used the momentum to roll through to her feet, jerking the One Percenter up with her and straight into a German suplex, bridging upwards for the pinfall as it landed.

Lexi: Mila is looking to put an end to Power & Prestige’s shot right now!

One…

Two…

Zack: The One Percenter was able to kick out in time, and already starting to get up again.

McKinley kicked out and rolled to the side, pushing up to her feet but as she did so, Midnight caught her with a pump kick to the chest before she grabbed hold of her wrist and jerked her forwards and straight into a release belly to belly suplex. The former Gold Standard member sat up as she landed and quickly Midnight scrambled to get into position, grabbing her foe’s arms from behind as she pulled her into a straitjacket hold before she came to her feet, keeping the choke in place as she drove a knee into Valerie’s back, pulling back further to try and make the hold as effective as possible while Caitlyn was pulling herself back up and onto the apron. The referee dropped down to check on McKinley, deeming the hold legal and asking her if she wanted to quit only to get a ‘No’ from the red head. The army veteran drove her knee once more into her back before she adjusted her grip, leaning back a little more to apply more pressure to her opponent in the straitjacket. McKinley shook her head as the referee once more asked her if she wanted to quit, instead she started to plant her feet, arch her back and begin to push up to her feet. As she made it back to a vertical base, Mila released the hold and transitioned into a neckbreaker, dropping her opponent down to the canvas where she immediately rolled to the side, holding her neck as she gasped for breath.

Lexi: As much as I’d love to see it, I don’t think Mila is going to get a submission to end this match. It’s hard to get a submission in any tag match.

Mila came back to her feet, waving her opponent upwards and as Valerie started to push up to her knees, Martin took off towards the ropes, hitting them and pulling up sharply as The Lioness caught her with a kick to her lower back from the outside. Martin grimaced for a moment before she turned towards Elizabeth who had stepped back into her corner and advanced towards her, spinning around as she went to tag her jaw with a discus forearm. Lannister, though, saw it coming and ducked underneath the blow. Mila spun through 180 degrees and found Valerie up on her feet charging towards her. Midnight tried to sidestep out of the way only for the Lioness to grab a handful of her hair in the nick of time, holding her in position in the corner as McKinley caught her with a splash, driving her spine first into the turnbuckles. Lannister held her hands up as the referee reprimanded her for grabbing hold of her hair as her partner climbed onto the middle rope and raised her fist into the air, the crowd booing her as she pulled on the Unity champion's hair, pulling her head back as she drove her fist into her forehead.

Zack: Nothing but right hands, and a whole lot of hair pulling. Most every woman on the roster keeps long hair, and that makes it very easy to pull and drag where you want your opponent.

Lexi: It’s funny though that Mila is one of the few with short hair, and that’s not stopping these two from still pulling it.

The referee called for the break and started the count as McKinley continued to drive her fist downwards into Midnight’s skull only getting to three before Mila grabbed hold of her opponent and started to carry her out of the corner, Valerie’s eyes going wide as she was carried towards the middle of the ring but before the army veteran could do any more, Lannister darted through the ropes and threw herself into a chop block to the back of the Londoner’s knee and rolled back underneath the bottom rope. As Martin’s leg buckled, McKinley hooked her head and stood her on top of her head with a DDT, Mila going head over heels as she collapsed to the mat, Valerie rolled to her front and threw herself across her opponent’s chest for the cover.

Zack: Valerie’s looking for the win and the Unity titles!

One…

Two…

…T–

Lexi: Well she can keep looking, because it wasn’t there!

Mila rolled over as the two count was made, her shoulder popping up from the canvas to stop the count as the fans cheered loudly while Caitlyn started to stomp her feet, slapping the top turnbuckle pad to encourage Mila to make the tag. Valerie pushed up to her knees and took a couple of moments to rub her neck before she pushed the rest of the way to her feet and headed towards her corner, making the tag to Lannister before doubling back towards Mila. Midnight had managed to turn on the mat to face her partner and was starting to move towards her when McKinley caught her by an ankle, using it to flip her to her back before she grasped her around the thighs and fell backwards, catapulting her towards Lannister who caught her with a codebreaker. Stringer told Valerie to go back to her corner and started the count only for the red head to shove the official out of the way as she joined her partner, standing either side of the army veteran and dropped stereo elbows into her back on either side of her spine before they started to pull her up, getting her to her feet before they got her into position for a double back suplex. As they lifted her up though, Midnight flipped backwards, landing on her feet and stumbling back into the ropes before she exploded off them, launching herself into a flying double clothesline that took both the One Percenter and the Lioness down to the mat. Valerie rolled to the ropes holding her neck as she landed.

Zack: Mila’s getting uncorked again! And she just mowed them both down in one shot!

Lexi: Mila has a hell of a lot of power behind her and Valerie and Elizabeth might be wanting to look for the license plate of the truck that just hit them.

Caitlyn again played to the crowd, getting them to get even louder as she stomped her boot and slapped the turnbuckle pad before stretching out her hand towards Mila. The legal half of the Tag Team Champions started to move, crawling towards her partner and just as she pushed up to dive and make the tag, Lannister managed to grab hold of her ankle and jerk her backwards to make sure she came up short. The Lioness got to her feet and flipped the bird to Storm before she turned back towards Mila waving her upright. Slowly Martin made it back to her feet and turned towards the Power and Prestige member who charged towards her looking for for a spear only for Martin to leap frog over her at the last moment, stagger forwards and dove to make the tag to Caitlyn as Lannister spun and went to stop her, skidding to a stop as the tag was made.

Zack: There’s the tag, and we’ve got one hell of recharged Caitlyn back in the ring! That can only mean bad news for the challengers!

Lexi: A fully energized Caitlyn is not something you want to see come at you across the ring. It’s bad enough when she’s happy to see you and comes barrelling at you!

Storm didn’t waste a moment as she used the top rope to slingshot herself over the top rope, wrapping her legs around Lannisters neck and sending her across the ring with a headscissors takedown. The Lioness rolled through and started to come back to her feet only for Caitlyn to charge her and catch her with a double knee strike to her chest, sending the challenger stumbling backwards into the ring ropes only to bounce off them and get dropped like a rock as Storm unloaded with a spinning roundhouse kick to the side of her head. Lannister started to push upwards and the bubbly blonde from New York helped her get back to her feet before she began to fire off a volley of kicks into her body and midsection, changing her target every time Elizabeth tried to cover up, landing six stiff kicks before she took hold of her wrist and fired her into the Midnight Storm corner. As the Lioness hit the turnbuckles, Caitlyn charged in behind her and launched herself into a shoulder thrust to the gut, lifting her foe off her feet before Storm stepped backwards and spun around to drive a roaring elbow shot into the side of her head then spiked FFW’s most beautiful woman face first into the canvas with a bulldog.

Zack: A bulldog like that won’t help Elizabeth maintain those features of herself that she thinks exceeds every other woman in the world.

Lannister started to push up to her feet and as she did so, Caitlyn pulled her the rest of the way and this time Irish whipped her into a neutral corner. As Elizabeth struck the pads this time, Caitlyn charged forwards again and delivered a running big boot across her face. Elizabeth staggered out, holding her nose only for Storm to kick her in the gut, doubling her over which allowed her to slam her down face first into the canvas with a double underhook slam. Quickly Caitlyn rolled her over and made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Zack: Caitlyn with the hard impact, and possibly the first retention for the tag champions!

…TH-

Lexi: Ooooh, close but not quite! There’s more work to be done yet.

Lannister kicked out, Caitlyn checking that it was a two count as she sat up, Stringer advising her that it was two before she headed for the ropes where Kyle had climbed up onto the apron and was shouting and screaming at the referee, demanding that she stop Storm and asking if she knew how valuable Lannisters face was; how much it was insured by Lloyds of London and how it was her job to protect it from damage. The official sent him back to his corner, reminding him that she was in charge and that so far everything Caitlyn had done was legal; Kyle firing back that he’d sue Stringer for every penny she was worth if Lannister lost a tooth or got a broken nose. And while he did, Valerie crawled behind Storm and caught her with a low blow. The former fitness instructor began to crumple to her knees as McKinley came to her feet and grabbed hold of her arm at the wrist, Lannister grabbing the opposite wrist before the pair drove matching knee strikes into opposite sides of her head, causing her to collapse to the canvas. A moment later Mila launched herself forwards and caught McKinley with a spear, sending her down to the mat but as she started to get back up, Lannister pulled her up and hurled the army veteran through the ropes to the outside. The Lioness turned her attention back to Caitlyn, lifting her upwards and slamming her down to the canvas with the #HearMeRoar wheelbarrow facebuster, rolling her over and making the cover, Kyle finally dropping off the apron as he pointed to it and screamed at Stringer to do her damned job.

Zack: That’s HEAR ME ROAR….and Kilmeade is screaming at the referee!

One…

Two…

…THRE—

Lexi: Maybe if Kyle wasn’t distracting the referee in the first place he wouldn’t have to yell at her!

Caitlyn’s shoulder came up ahead of the three count and the Lioness glared at the official, demanding the three count from her only for Stringer to shake her head and tell it was only a two and the shoulder came up from the mat in time. Elizabeth growled at her in anger, as she told her it was only a matter of time before she got her hand raised by Stringer and the title handed to her. Rising back to her feet, she headed toward her partner, helping her back to her feet and started to direct traffic. The red head nodded her head in agreement as she moved towards Caitlyn bringing her up to her feet, applying a wristlock as she did so. Stringer told her to get out of the ring and started the five count only for McKinley to ignore her as she used the hold to move her foe towards the corner where Lannister was pushing up to the middle rope. Valerie jerked Storm into the Crown Jewel short arm lariat, keeping hold of her wrist as she did to make sure the former fitness instructor landed on her knees and then quickly pulled the bubbly blonde into position for a piledriver, holding her upside down as Lannister leapt from the middle turnbuckle; spiking the Unity Champion down into the mat. As Storm crumpled to the canvas, Lannister made the cover, hooking the leg as Valerie rolled out of the ring and started to play to the crowd, making the title motion around her waist while Stringer made the count.

Zack: That might be all she wrote for Caitlyn after a spiked piledriver off the ropes!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: No! Mila with an extremely well timed save. That is just one great example of the Midnight Storm’s teamwork.

At the very last possible second, Mila made it into the ring and launched herself into the cover, shoving the Lioness off her partner and breaking it up. The referee immediately waved off the count and threw up the two as McKinley turned to look in the ring, her eyes widening in shock as she saw Midnight had broken up the cover. Quickly the One Percenter rolled back into the ring and popped up to her feet, catching Mila as she came to her knees with a thrust kick into the side of the head. Martin rocked back on her heels and McKinley pulled her into a standing headscissors as she waved her partner to the middle rope, telling the fans one more time. As Lannister got to the middle rope, Valerie told her to go all the way to the top, the Lioness grinning as she did so even as Caitlyn was using the ropes to pull herself to her feet. However, as she got to the top rope, Martin suddenly started to power up, lifting Valerie off her feet and dropping her chest first over the top rope. It caused the Lioness to lose her balance and land straddling the turnbuckle. Valerie stumbled backwards and as she did so, Mila scooped her up onto her shoulders and slammed her down onto the mat with an angle slam. Meanwhile, Caitlyn had made it back to her feet and spotted the legal half of the Challengers on the top turnbuckle and started to climb up with her, driving a fist into her midriff before she hooked her head and lifted her up into a superplex. As Lannister hit the mat she rolled to her side and curled up into a ball; as Caitlyn lay on her back, kicking her feet against the mat as she held the top of her head. The referee checked on both and started the count on them.

Zack: It’s easy to see what all this match has taken out of both women. No one wants a draw if they can’t make it up to their feet by a ten count.

Lexi: I think there might be riots if this, or any match tonight ends in a draw to be honest.

As he got to three, Caitlyn started to move, sitting up and then beginning to crawl to the ropes, holding her head as she began to use them to pull herself upright. Meanwhile Elizabeth rolled to her front and started to push upwards. As the Lioness made it to her feet, however, Caitlyn skipped forwards and delivered the Storm Force scissors kick to the back of her head, sending her down to the canvas. Storm dropped to her knees next to her and pulled the Power and Prestige member over onto her back and made the cover, reaching to hook the leg as Stringer slid into position to make the cover, while Midnight grabbed hold of Valerie’s leg to make sure she couldn’t break up the cover.

Lexi: Cailtyn has the cover and Mila is making sure that Valerie can’t interrupt things. This could be it!

One…

Valerie desperately tried to lunge towards the cover to break it up, firing off kicks behind her randomly at Midnight.

Two…

Her boot caught Midnight across the bridge of her nose, loosening her grip enough for Valerie to dive towards the cover.

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Zack: Man, that was close! We were less than a heartbeat from the bell and the champions leaving with the tag titles!

McKinley made it just in time, crashing down on Caitlyn’s back to break up the pin a heartbeat before the referee could complete the count. Valerie looked pleadingly at the referee, holding up two fingers and the referee nodded her head in agreement, holding up two fingers to confirm that she made it in time. McKinley’s relief was short lived, however, as Midnight pulled her up to her feet, lifting her up and slamming her down into the mat with the London calling Minchinoku Driver. McKinley rolled to the side and under the bottom rope to the apron where she was met by Kyle, who helped her to her feet on the floor and started to talk to her. As he did so, Stringer ordered Mila back to the corner, Martin nodding her head as she followed the official's instructions, heading towards the corner.

Lexi: Valerie got the hell out of dodge as quick as she could there, didn’t she?

As she did so, Caitlyn came back to her feet, raising her foot onto the top rope to stretch out her leg, giving the crowd the sign for the Storm Rising as she started to wave the Lioness upwards. Lannister made it to her feet and Caitlyn launched herself into the Storm Rising springboard spinning heel kick to the jaw that flattened her to the mat. Storm fell on top of her and made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so.

Zack: STORM RISING, and the champs are leaving Detroit with their titles intact in 3 seconds!

One…

Two…

…THRE—-

Lexi: Kyle should just permanently be banned from ringside!

Before the count could be completed, Kyle jerked the referee out of the ring by her foot, immediately beginning to berate her once more for allowing Lannisters face to be targeted. As Kilmeade read the official the riot act, Stringer threatening to throw him out, Valerie grabbed one of the Unity titles from the timekeeper’s desk, shoving them backwards into Kat before she headed back for the ring, sliding in underneath the bottom rope as Caitlyn looked to the referee on the outside and McKinley launched herself at the blonde, crashing the Unity title belt into the side of her head. Storm, though, saw it coming and ducked beneath the attempt. McKinley spun and as she did so, Caitlyn caught her with a perfect superkick to the jaw. Valerie was still clutching the tag title as her eyes glazed over and fell backwards through the ring ropes and to the outside.

Zack: Good Lord, what a superkick from Caitlyn! Valerie plummeted through the ropes and landed out here not far from us.

The Lioness was starting to push upwards and as she did so, Caitlyn pulled her upwards, lifting her up onto her shoulders and moved towards the middle of the ring before she slammed her down with the snapmare neckbreaker - the Eye of Storm. As she did so, Mila charged across the ring and launched herself into a baseball slide into Kyle Kilmeade at ringside while still arguing with Stringer, causing him to collapse against the barricade. Stringer looked into the ring as Caitlyn made the cover, hooking both legs and the referee slid into the ring and started to make the count. Mila moving into position to watch both McKinley and Kyle to ensure they couldn’t interfere in the count.

Zack: EYE OF THE STORM…and Kyle got what he deserved too!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy!

Stringer called for the bell and as she did so, Mila stepped towards Valerie snatching the Unity Tag Team Championship away from her before she slid back into the ring underneath the bottom rope and helped Caitlyn to her feet, hugging her closely as Stringer went to retrieve the other Unity Championship.

Kat: Here are your winners, by way of pinfall…and STILL FFW UNITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!!! The team of “MIDNIGHT” MILA MARTIN and CAITLYN STORM… THE MIDNIGHT STORM!!!!!!!

Zack: Congratulations to Caitlyn and Mila, because there’s no better place than on this stage to prove you’re still the best tag team in the game! Well earned and deserved to those two ladies.

Lexi: Even with the shortcuts of the challengers and Kyle doing his best to get involved, they still managed to pull it out of the bag. Proud does not even begin to describe how I feel right now.

Stringer presented them with the second title belt as the Lioness rolled out of the ring, holding her neck as the official raised their hands to the deafening cheers of the crowd. Kyle moved to check on Valerie, helping her to her feet and checking on before they started around the ring to check on Elizabeth. In the ring, Mila and Caitlyn headed towards the turnbuckles, climbing to the middle rope and raising the titles in the air, the crowd cheering them loudly as they did so before the show cut elsewhere.

Shaw Awaits

Before the next match, the show cuts to one of the private locker rooms inside Ford Field. In that locker room, the first person we see is Kyle Kilmeade already dressed in an expensive suit for tonight’s show.

Kyle: I asked for this time…this particular time right here at this precise point in the show…for a very good reason. After all, the very next match will feature two women competing for the biggest prize in Future Shock for the first time at Unstoppable in nearly a decade. I’m referring to Jacqui and Sydney, of course. And the reason I asked for this exact moment…this precise spot on Unstoppable 13…is because I want to give them more to think about than each other. More to consider than just what’s about to happen. I want them to feel and see what’s still to come.

He starts grinning as he says it and heads towards a plush sofa. On that sofa with her thigh wrapped up beneath a black dress is Shaughnessy O’Neill. Kyle takes a seat next to her.

Kyle: As many times as this woman has been the headline of this show…as many times as she’s stolen when she wasn’t technically the headliner… did you really think she was going to sit at home and not book a flight to Detroit for tonight? Especially when both rosters are here!

He very gently touched his fingers over the taped part of her thigh.

Kyle: This right here? It’s healing. Not 100% yet, and I won’t let her back in the ring till it is. 100%. Verified and confirmed by no less than three doctors. It’s not there yet, but it will be. And that’s when she comes for the Future Shock title, whether it’s Sydney or Jacqui or whoever the hell. That’s when the champion’s days are numbered. Why should she get the shot? Because for 2 years now, not one person in this entire company has pinned her or made her quit. Find me anyone else on either roster who can say that, and I’ll admit they deserve the shot too…. Hell, I’ll represent them till they get it. But…that won’t be required. There’s only one. There’s always been only one.

Shaw stared at the camera for a moment.

Shaw: So, first of all, let’s clear up a couple of things shall we? Last time I left the ring after the Pure Championship match at FFW vs Future Shock, I wasn’t happy. You all saw that. I was angry. I was disappointed. I was frustrated. I hurt. And I didn’t come close to firing Kyle. I took a couple of days and I realised he was right to do what he did; that he did what he did to save me because he knows better than anyone that I’m a stubborn, hard headed bitch who won’t back down. Since then I’ve been following Doctor’s Orders. And that’s been probably even more frustrating, stuck at home, being forced to take it easy, enduring the horrors of the things they put on Netflix - I watched a series that was competitive glass blowing for fucks sake and other asking if things were cake or not.

There was a shake of her head.

Shaw: Not able to get in the gym or the training ring and do the things that I do…it’s made it even worse. But I just have to be disciplined. I just have to listen to what the doctors say to make sure that I can back to where I was as quickly as I can.

She smiled.

Shaw: Then I can get better. It take eight years to find someone who was able to beat me twice. I’ve still never been beaten in back to back matches and I promise you, when I step back into ring, I’ll be continuing that streak. Whatever hoops Adam makes me jump through I’ll do it. If he wants me to become the first person to win both the main roster and the Future Shock version of Global Wars to get a shot at the Future Shock Championship, then you’d better pencil me in now. You want me to win the Future Shock Cup to qualify for a shot? I’ll clear a space for it the moment I get back home. And whoever happens to be Champion when I am named the number one contender you should enjoy every moment, every second that you have left with that title belt; until you step inside that ring with me because when I do, I’m going to do what I’ve done every time there’s been a title that I want - I’m going to win it and I’m going to hold till I’ve shattered every record there is.

Kyle: It’s only a matter of time before that all comes about. I don’t have a date for you yet, because I’m waiting till at least 3 doctors have cleared this leg for competition. Which brings to mind a question I’ve been asked in airports and bars when I travel. I’ve been asked if I would do it again. If I’d stop that match again with hindsight being 20/20. The answer is yes. Always yes. And not just for Shaw, for anyone who has hired me to manage them. I know all my clients very well: strengths and weaknesses. And I know I get painted pretty badly by most everyone, but I’d be an awful manager if I let my own clients risk their long term health and career for a match. That goes for each of them. I knew that night that Shaw would have let Missy rip the tendons off the bone in her leg, costing her potentially her entire career and not being able to walk normally again for the rest of her life. She was willing to go that far, I wasn’t. It’s no different than when the trainer of a prize fighter throws in the towel during a match or refuses to let his fighter leave the corner again. What I did only shaved a few weeks off a Hall of Fame career. A small price to pay, if you ask me.

Shaw nodded her head.

Shaw: And if Missy had ripped the tendons off my leg, I still wouldn’t have quit. If she’d ripped my leg off…I’d still have backed myself to find a way to beat her and wouldn’t have quit. Like I said, I’m stubborn and hard headed. It’s one of the reasons why I’m as good as I am, why I’m as successful as I am - because I’ve never let anyone tell me there’s something I can’t do. But at the end of the day, he’s right. Being able to walk normally is just - JUST - by the tiniest of fractions more important than one match and one title. I guess. But this is a two time Hall of Fame career - I’m there once as part of the One Woman Show and now I’m determined to make it there alone; as Shaughnessy O’Neill. The first two time inductee. That’s the history that I’m looking to make too.

Kyle: Only a matter of time.

As the shot fades, we switch to a video package for the upcoming match for the Future Shock Championship.

A video package shows the rise of both Jacqui Minogue through Global Wars as well as Sydney’s dominance since capturing the title in France in April. Then the show returns to the massive crowd inside Ford Field with Lexi standing in the ring. The fans see a graphic on the projectors and video wall that the Future Shock title match is up next.

Zack: I want to welcome Claire Black to the booth, and especially to Unstoppable 13! For the first time in 9 years, the Future Shock Championship is going to be defended on the biggest stage of them all, Claire.

Claire: It’s been a long time since Casey Atherton met Jodie Gray in the last defense of the Future Shock Champion on the biggest show of the year. This is a long time overdue for one of the most storied and most sought after titles in the entire company.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is for the FFW Future Shock Championship!!

Zack: Who do you tip the scales to in this match, Claire?

Claire: It’s a tough one to call. Sydney had an iron grip on the title since she won it in Calgary in a triple threat match and is one of the most polished technical wrestlers in the company. Jacqui has been chasing this title for a long, long time now and while she has a good technical base, she also has that slight power edge too. This is way too close to call.

As the intro of “Superstar” by 95 TurboSol blares into the arena, generating thunderous reaction from the crowd, a lightshow of blue and white lights ignites the stage area and ramp and flashes continuously across both areas, bearing a striking resemblance of a futuristic spaceship setting. At the same time, smoke emerges from the bottom of the stage and fills the area.

Then, as the song begins, Jacqui Minogue emerges through the smoke and stands on stage, her hands on her hips as she scans through the environment and eventually the ring while the crowd continues to shower her with their reaction.

Lexi: Making her way to the ring, representing The Matriarchy...weighing 140 pounds…from Melbourne, Australia…She is “The Perfect Storm” and the 2022 Global Wars winner…JACQUI MINOGUE!!!!!

Jacqui then comes down the ramp toward the ring with her arms extended outward and sporting a cocky demeanor. When she reaches the ringside area, she stands there taking in the atmosphere of the arena as the fans continue to show their reactions. She then climbs up the apron, wipes her feet on the apron, and enters the ring, Jacqui strides towards two opposite ring posts in where she climbs up and extends her arms out and then shortly shows off her trademark triangle hand signal, to represent her faction, all while looking on with a smirk and posing to the crowd with complete confidence. She’s taking in the atmosphere while the crowd reaction continues and the cameras flashing.

After going through her ritual, Jacqui climbs down and makes her way towards the corner to take off her jacket and then readies herself as she waits for the match to begin.

Zack: In front of the largest crowd to ever see the Future Shock Championship defended, Jacqui Minogue earned her way here with a triumphant run through Global Wars. That night in April, she did it for Australia. Tonight, she looks to do this all for herself on the biggest stage in women’s wrestling.

Claire: She overcame two of Future Shock’s best to earn this shot and she has waited…albeit not always patiently… to get this opportunity, one on one against Sydney Christensen for the Championship.  She will have to be at her best in order to claim it from Sydney who is in the form of her life.

The sound of a guitar strumming subtly begins to echo in the arena, leaving those in attendance wondering what is going on. The angelic voice of one Lzzy Hale of the band Halestorm is heard next, her voice serenely starting the opening verse of “I Am The Fire.”

Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough?
To follow the desire
That burns from within
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
I am through with this
'Cause I am more than this
I promise to myself
Alone and no one else
My flame is rising higher.

As the song picks up the tempo, her voice becomes more intense, kicking into the chorus.

I am the fire
I am burning brighter
Roaring like a storm

Midway through the chorus, the curtains part and out walks the pride of Calgary herself, Sydney Christensen.  She steps out to the middle of the stage and juts her arms out on either side of her, tossing her head back as the fans show their appreciation. She picks her head up and slowly brings her arms in front of her, her index fingers pointing down to the ring. Dropping her arms to her side, she begins her march towards the ring, nodding at a few fans along the way. Once she reaches the ring, she hops up onto the apron and steps through the bottom and middle ropes. Almost immediately, Sydney walks over to the ropes and raises her arms above her head, encouraging the fans as they cheer on the proud Canadian. Sydney then walks over to one corner of the ring and rests her back against the turnbuckle, awaiting her opponent as her music fades out on one poignant line of the chorus.

And I am the one I've been waiting for
Screaming like a siren
Alive and burning brighter
I am the fire!

Lexi: Introducing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, this is the reigning and defending FFW Future Shock Champion…...SYDNEY CHRISTENSEN!!

Zack: Sydney has been a fighting champion since she captured the title in February at the Calgary Stampede. Actually she’s been in the best form of her whole career, if you ask me. And I think it’s going to take the best form of Jacqui Minogue that we’ve ever seen to take that title from her. That said, the best form of any woman in this business is what we see at Unstoppable.

Claire: You’re absolutely right, Zack. Sydney has been in imperious form ever since the Calgary Stampede and ever since she claimed the title from Cait Flanagan. Tonight she has to rise the bar once more; she has to fight smart and fight hard because Jacqui is one of the toughest women in the world and will pull out all the stops to win.

Referee Melinda Davis stands in the center as Lexi leaves the ring, and both Sydney and Jacqui take in the crowd watching them. Both women look all around Ford Field, listening to the fanfare as Davis asks Sydney for her title.

Zack: Both the champion and the challenger are taking it all in. This is their first time competing at a show by an order of magnitude with over 80,000 fans waiting to see who wants the Future Shock title more. Soak it in, ladies.

Claire: I don’t blame them. This is the biggest stage that women’s wrestling has to offer. This is what it’s all about and it’s with the biggest prize in Future Shock on the line.

Davis asks for the title again, but Sydney brushes past her and heads to Jacqui’s corner. She gets in the brunette’s face, and raises the Future Shock title over her head. The Aussie stares into her eyes as Sydney keeps the title raised above her head.

Zack: The bell hasn’t rung, but Sydney’s getting right in Jacqui’s face straight out of the gate and reminding her who holds the gold in Future Shock! It’s getting intense, and the match hasn’t even officially started!

Claire: Sydney’s showing no fear and making sure that Jacqui knows who the Champion is and that she’s one with all the work to do if she wants to leave Detroit with the title in her possession.

Sydney: TAKE IT FROM ME!

She shouts into the challenger’s face before Jacqui slaps her in response. The champion’s face flashes red immediately as she tosses the title to Davis and the fists start flying! The pair trade furious blows until Jacqui sweeps her legs to take her down to the mat with even more furious right hands landing between the two of them as the Detroit crowd eats it up.

Claire: The fists are flying already and I think this might prove to be the story of this match, Zack. Both competitors giving as good as they get and neither one giving up an inch!

Zack: So much for a technical wrestling match, this is starting out as a pier six brawl andI’m not sure who’s gonna win a fistfight with these two!

Minogue only maintains the mount position briefly before Sydney rolls over on top of her, and rains down more punches into her head. The Aussie reverses it again, and gets a monkey flip to send her off to the mat. They both get to their feet at about the same time, and Sydney goes for a haymaker shot. Minogue blocks it, firing one of her own…and that gets blocked. Christiensen used a palm thrust to her throat to stop the exchange, and then fired Jacqui into the far corner. She followed in after her with a corner clothesline and a high hip toss to send her out to the center of the ring.  Jacqui popped back to her feet, and waved Sydney towards her with both hands.

Zack: Look at that! Jacqui’s already fueled up with adrenaline after that high angle hip toss to the mat. And she’s asking the champion to come at her!

Claire: Both of them are really going at it here and we’re already seeing that it’s going to take an awful lot to try and put the other day for the count.

Sydney did just that and took off towards her. Minogue caught her coming forward with a deep Japanese armdrag to the mat. The champion popped up and turned around before catching a second and a third. Jacqui was set to do it a fourth time after she got up, but Sydney delivered a boot to her chest instead. It sent the brunette backwards before she got whipped across to the far side. Sydney went to grab her on the rebound, only for Minogue to use a baseball slide between the champion’s legs. The blonde reached through them to try to grab her, only for Jacqui to surprise her by grabbing her hand between her legs and planting her with a pumphandle slam.

Claire: We’ve seen some technique but now Jacqui is bringing her power to the party. That was one heck of a slam that she just delivered right there.

Zack: You’re not kidding. I think Jacqui may be the quicker of the two by a small margin, and she’s certainly capable of putting Sydney on the mat when she wants to.

The brunette pulled her up by the arm, and fired her into the near corner. She followed after her with a running elbow smash to the jaw before leaning back with a sharp knife edge chop to the chest. It resonated throughout Ford Field before she connected with two more. Mingoue told her she would take her title….just before Sydney reversed it and threw her into the corner for a flurry of chops to her chest. She connected seemingly with 6 or 7 before sitting her on the top turnbuckle. She climbed up to the second with her to send her flying with a release belly to belly overhead suplex.

Zack: Sydney sent Jacqui into orbit with that belly to belly, and now we’re starting to see these moves take more effect. Notice Jacqui didn’t pop up that time, and both of them must have chests the color of strawberries.

Claire: The pair are certainly bringing out the hard hitting, high impact moves as this title contest continues to heat up. Before the night ends, we’ll know exactly how much this means to them.

When Jacqui started to get to her feet, Sydney caught her with a running knee lift to her stomach to stop that. It kept the challenger doubled over long enough for Christensen to follow up with a gutwrench suplex. She barely let the challenger have time to get up before a rear waistlock became a deadlift into a release German suplex. Sydney dragged her up enough to deliver a ganso bomb before stacking her legs on top of her for the cover.

Zack: Minogue’s getting stacked up like a Jenga puzzle, and Sydney’s ready to reclaim her title!

ONE!!

TW-NO.

The Aussie kicked out and rolled away from her to the ropes. She made it back to her feet before Sydney charged in behind her with a kidney punch before she turned around. A hair mare sent her back to the center of the ring after that.

Claire: Sydney has taken the upper hand here as she looks to retain her title. How long can she keep Jacqui on the back foot though? Because it only takes one move for Minogue to turn the tables on her.

Sydney pulled her up to her feet in front of her before firing off another kidney punch to her lower back. It sent the challenger lurching forward before the blonde scooped her up into an Olympic slam to put her back down on the mat. Several stomps landed to her lower back, and Sydney pulled her back to her feet again and over her shoulder into a Canadian backbreaker. Jacqui’s body hung backwards over one of the champion’s shoulders as Davis asked Jacqui about stopping the match.

Zack: A Canadian backbreaker, what else would you expect from a woman born on Canada Day? Seems like Sydney is following a similar strategy to what she used in her last match against Alessandra.

Claire: It proved to be successful against Alessandra, so why not again against Jacqui? This hold will certainly sap her strength if it doesn’t manage to get her the win tonight.

Jacqui made it clear she wasn’t going to quit as Sydney remained in the center of the ring with an airtight grip around her body. The referee had to check again after a couple seconds and Jacqui broke the hold by raking Sydney’s eyes with her hand. The champion lost her grip before the challenger landed awkwardly back on her feet again. Before she could regain her vision, Jacqui connected with a double underhook DDT before rolling her over for the cover.

Zack: It wasn’t the most legal escape you’ll see, but it worked and Jacqui’s hoping to hit paydirt now.

ONE!!

TW-NOO.

Sydney kicked out as the two was almost to the mat. Jacqui sat up and looked very uncomfortable due to her back. When she got back to her feet, she bounced off the near side with an ax kick to the back of the champion’s head.

Claire: Neither Jacqui or Sydney have been shy about taking shortcuts in the past, but this time it’s worked out to Jacqui’s advantage and with the way her back is aching, she’s going looking for knockout shots here!

She pulled Sydney up to her feet, peppering her with knee lifts to her body and then her head. As the champion stumbled backwards, Minogue scooped her onto her shoulders and executed a perfectly timed GTS that sent the champion to the mat in a heap. She quickly rolled her over, and hooked the inside leg for the cover.

Zack: Speaking of knockout shots, Claire, that might be the match ender!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

TH-NO.

Sydney threw her other leg over the bottom rope, and Davis stopped her count. Jacqui got back to her feet with one hand on her back, while Sydney rolled off the apron to ringside.

Claire: Excellent ring awareness from Sydney and a smart move to roll out to the apron. It’ll buy her a couple of additional seconds to try and pull herself together; to try and clear those cobwebs.

The challenger rolled out around the corner and watched Sydney like a hawk. The champion finally started getting to her feet on the floor as Jacqui sprinted around the corner. She grabbed her head for a running one armed bulldog that saw Sydney’s face smack the top of the ring steps. The blonde collapsed to the floor face down as Jacqui began trying to get her arms under her to scoop her up and get her back in the ring.

Zack: That shot…you heard it all throughout Ford Field! If this was Falls Count Anywhere, I think we’d have a new Future Shock Champion, Claire.

Claire: As it is, she’s just turned Sydney into a dead weight and despite her strength, you can see the trouble Jacqui’s having getting her foe back into the ring for the cover. This might be saving the Future Shock Championship for Sydney!

Jacqui was able to muscle her up to the apron and shove her back into the ring. When she followed after her, the referee admonished the challenger about using the way she did. Minogue ignored her as she started circling behind Sydney, waving for her to get up again. The champion was slow to do so, but finally got back to her feet just before Jacqui caught her with a cobra clutch submission. She immediately began trying to step on the back of Sydney’s leg to get her down to the mat, but so far was having little success.

Zack: I thought she might go for the cover, Claire. But Jacqui wants to put Sydney to sleep here, and I think she’s well on the way to doing it after striking the steps face first.

Claire: And Jacqui’s trying to do everything that she can to get the Champion down to the mat to make this even more difficult to escape from but Christensen is fighting her with everything that she’s got! She’s not going to go out quietly! Not with the Future Shock Championship on the line.

Sydney’s free arm tried to grab at anything she could, including Davis’ shirt. The referee got free of her grip while Jacqui continued to try to get her down on the mat. Sydney lunged forward to get to the ropes, but didn’t make it very far before Minogue dragged her back to the center of the ring. The champion’s movements started slowing now and her legs seemed more wobbly as a result.

Zack: Jacqui’s letting her use up whatever energy she has trying to escape…and then putting her right back in the center of the ring. That’s smart, the challenger is letting her get all the fight out of her that she can.

Claire: Just like when you’re reeling in a fish. You give it a little bit of line, let it fight and then drag it back it in and just keep on doing that until you can bring it right up on deck. Sydney has to find an escape.

The referee raised Sydney’s hand twice. The second time though, she brought up both hands to grab the top of Jacqui’s head for a jawbreaker! It broke the hold and sent the challenger to the mat holding her mouth. Christensen leaned forward as she was trying to get her wind back, even smacking herself across the face with both hands. It worked too. She finally got her wits about her, and rose back to her feet. When she spotted Jacqui starting to rise, she grabbed her around the throat with both hands into a sitout powerbomb! The champion rolled through with a leg hook for the cover!

Zack: That was genius by Sydney! A great escape followed by a thunderous Rydeen bomb, and the Future Shock Championship is returning to Canada!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Jacqui got her shoulder off the mat in time before the three, and Sydney made it back to her feet, still a bit groggy. The champion followed up with a Garvin stomp to Jacqui’s body before scooping her up to sit her on the top turnbuckle facing the crowd.

Claire: In the nick of time Jacqui gets the shoulder up to keep her Future Shock Championship dream alive but as you can see, there’s not a lot left in the tank for either of these two right now! This could be feast or famine for Sydney!

With Minogue sitting slumped over on the top turnbuckle, Sydney grabbed her arms and fell forward with a crucifix powerbomb that bounced the challenger’s body off the mat on impact. She dove across her for the cover with the leg hooked.

Zack: A crucifix powerbomb from the heavens of Detroit, and Jacqui’s goal won’t be achieved tonight!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Minogue’s shoulder came off the mat in the nick of time, and Sydney sat up on her knees. She was taking in deep breaths, trying to get her wind back still before swiping her thumb across her throat to let the fans know she was about to end it.

Claire: This is the right approach from Sydney. She’s not getting frustrated that she hasn’t scored the three count already but instead is sticking to the task at hand and focusing on what she has to do next.

Sydney moved towards her opponent, and leaned down to grab her when Jacqui surprised her by pulling her into a guillotine choke! Minogue wrapped her legs around Sydney’s body and locked her ankles as she applied as much pressure as she could immediately!

Zack: That….that’s how Sydney won her first title defense against Alessandra, Claire! The guillotine choke, and Jacqui’s gonna use it to put her out!

Claire: Minogue’s applied it tightly!! Look at how Sydney’s movements are already starting to fade!! Time is running out on her title reign and she HAS to find an escape!!

Zack: Can you imagine the crowing Jacqui will do if she chokes Sydney out with one of her own holds here at Unstoppable?!

Davis checked immediately to see if she wanted to stop the match, but Sydney gave no such signs. Jacqui told her to ring the bell more than once as she tightened her grip as much as possible. Davis checked again, still not getting an answer from Sydney even though her movements were growing more and more lethargic. Finally, Sydney’s arms slumped to the mat before Davis raised one hand once…twice…three times. And on the third time, Sydney grabbed the referee by her pants leg. Jacqui tried to apply even more pressure, so much so her arm was getting much whiter!

Zack: Look at Jacqui’s arm, Claire! That’s the arm she’s applying the choke with…it’s almost sheet white with how much she’s straining to apply pressure!

Claire: She’s absolutely desperate to end this and leave with the Future Shock Championship but somehow, somewhere, Sydney is still managing to resist her!!! This is incredible!!

The referee tried to get her pants leg free of Sydney’s grip, and finally managed to do so by yanking her foot away. Sydney used that momentum to roll them both over and kick her foot under the bottom rope. Davis spotted it immediately as well as the tear in her pants leg before calling for the break. Jacqui shoved Sydney off her, and got to her feet with her hand raised!

Claire: Oh boy.. Jacqui is not going to be happy when the referee explains this to her! I wouldn’t want to be in either Davis or Sydney’s boots right about now.

Zack: Jacqui thinks Davis is stopping the match, far from it! Sydney got her foot under the rope, and the challenger is ready to take a victory lap!

Davis yanked her hand down to tell her Sydney got her foot under the rope. Meanwhile, the Future Shock Champion grabbed the middle rope and was starting to pull herself up very slowly. Jacqui told the referee Sydney was out, and Davis disagreed and pointed over to Sydney, who was struggling to get to her feet.

Zack: I’ll half agree with the referee. Sydney’s clearly not out, but I don’t think she’s far from it! Jacqui should drag her to the center and slap that guillotine choke on again!

Claire: Certainly no point in Jacqui wasting time or energy arguing it with the referee. Davis’ decision is going to be final. Minogue simply has to put this beyond all doubt if she wants to leave with the title.

Jacqui was clearly agitated now as she stormed towards Sydney, who was now on her feet with the help of the ropes. She ducked her head between her legs, and scooped her onto her shoulders with a furious look on her face!

Zack: There’s the setup! We know what’s about to happen! Bad ride, worse landing!!

Instead of her usual execution, Jacqui spun around almost like an airplane spin before driving Sydney into the mat with her electric chair driver! She rolled over on top of her and hooked both legs for the cover as Davis fell to make the count.

Zack: FALL FROM GRACE…the Unstoppable edition!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

This time, Davis did call for the bell as Jacqui rolled off the cover and sat up on her knees. She still had an intense look on her face as she got ot her feet and had her hand raised.

Claire: Huge impact after disorientating her foe a little bit more in the process and finally, on the biggest show of them all, Jacqui realizes a long held dream of hers!!

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall….AND NEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWW FFW Future Shock Champion….’THE PERFECT STORM’ JACQUI MINOGUE!!

Victoria and Sienna headed to the ring as the referee awarded Jacqui the Future Shock Championship. She looked down at her reflection, and then thrust it over her head with both hands along with a defiant scream!

Zack: The first title in Future Shock Jacqui Minogue has ever held is the Future Shock Championship, and there’s no bigger place to have achieved it! She came to Future Shock in the summer of 2019, and a little over three years later, she’s on top of the world!

Victoria and Sienna hoisted their cousin onto their shoulders, letting her raise the title again and revel in the moment.

Claire: It’s been a long journey for her but she’s always stood firm and held onto the belief that she deserved this and that she would earn this. Tonight, she has overcome one of the very best to have ever competed in Future Shock; she’s gone toe to toe with a dominant, defiant, Sydney Christensen and after a grueling fight has managed to overcome and triumph on the biggest stage of them all!!

Fireworks shot through the rafters of Ford Field as Jacqui’s music started to play over the PA system. She raised her title to all four sides of the ring before holding it in both her hands to look at it. The show then cut to a commercial for Future Shock merchandise.

New Champion & Former Friends

The shot changes to see Adam Grant standing with Allison Marx somewhere in the backstage area of Ford Field.

Allison: Wow, what a Future Shock Championship match! I’m here with Adam, and I’m sure you agree.

Adam: Absolutely. Sydney and Jacqui proved they belong on the biggest stages we have to offer, and they don’t get any bigger than this one. They may not be fans of mine, but I’m proud of them for that effort.

Allison: We have a new Future Shock Champion, what’s next for her?

Adam: For Jacqui? A lot of deja vu. I’m not going to make Sydney wait too long to get her rematch. Those two women will headline the Sydney Supershow on August 30 for the Future Shock Championship. And this time, it’ll be 2 out of 3 falls!

Allison: That’s gonna be a night where stamina is required more than ever. 2 out of 3 falls for the Future Shock Championship in Sydney, Australia on August 30th only on FFW All Access. Got time for some more questions?

Adam: Sure, go ahead.

Allison: I know you’ve said that you were very confident in Missy in the weeks leading up to tonight. But that match is not far away on the card. Are the nerves there now? Or do you still feel confident?

Adam: Never once in anything I said leading into this match did I disparage Scarlett Kincaid. I don’t need to be reminded of how good she is in the ring. I was working here practically the whole time she was racking up 5 FFW Championship reigns and headlining one Unstoppable after another after another. Do I think this is gonna be some walk in the park for Missy? Absolutely not. I would argue Scarlett will be the toughest opponent she’s ever faced next to Shaw. But that said, I’m still confident in Missy. If I wasn’t confident in my own wife, that’d be a major problem, wouldn’t it? I’m sure Cody is confident in Scarlett, and we’ll find out tonight who’s gonna be working here.

Allison: Do you regret putting your own career on the line when you didn’t have to?

Adam: Not at all. Because if Cody is going to be in charge of me, I was going to quit anyway. Even without me saying that publicly, it wasn’t going to happen if he got to be my superior again. I said that to show just how serious I am about this. Obviously I didn’t know Samantha was going to make this match and put these stipulations in place. But it’s her company and her decision. I love doing what I do for a living. But I wasn’t willing to make myself miserable wondering when the other shoe would drop and Cody became who he was at the end of SVW.

Allison: Do you think this match will resolve the differences you two have, no matter who wins?

Adam: This match, for me, isn’t about resolving our differences. Those aren’t going to be fixed. I flat out don’t trust him as far as I could throw him. I don’t believe he’s being sincere, Scarlett clearly does. That was always going to be the case before this match was announced and after it’s over. I don’t accept his apologies, and even after asking him to leave me alone, he continued with it all. At least after tonight, I won’t ever have to deal with him again. And that’s what I wanted all along.

The show then cuts to a preview of the upcoming match between Crystal Zdunich and Savannah Star.

Kat: The following match is scheduled for one fall to a finish!!

Zack: Welcome back to the booth from announcing the first Future Shock Championship match at Unstoppable in 9 years? Lexi. How did that feel?

Lexi: That was absolutely amazing! The atmosphere in this place tonight is completely electric, I just hope that the viewers at home can feel even a quarter of what it’s like here tonight.

There was silence; the lights began to fade away slowly. A soft instrumental echoes out across the audience. It starts slowly, a beautiful sound that contrasts the heaviness of the world. Like feathers, it glides among the waiting audience. The lighting fixtures produce a gentle spotlight upon the stage, offset by the occasional flash here and there. As 'Just Close Your Eyes' by Waterproof Blonde continues to play, a woman’s words begin to come through. Her voice is tender, not raising upon a whisper.

"Deceived by my eyes and all I was told I should see
Opinions not mine, the person they taught me to be
One night in the dark, a vision of someone I knew
And in the darkness I saw, a voice say, I'm you."

On the stage, a feminine figure appears. Her head lowered to everything. People cannot make out who it is. As she stands there, the flashes briefly illuminate her figure. It only gives small clues on who stands at the gate. She stands in the spotlight, her shadow cast large and proudly among the stage.

"Inside me a light was turned on…"

The instrumental picks up again. An electric guitar now joins the progressively exciting instrumentals of before. The singer’s voice suddenly intensifies.

"Then I was alive!"

In the light, it is revealed that it was Savannah Taylor. She stands at the gate, a robe of obsidian and ivory hues. The hood of it shadows her eyes, but the intensity of the final EXODUS World Champion remains clear as day. She starts off down the ramp, with a serious aura radiating from her body.

Kat: Ladies and gentlemen, making her way down to the ring....weighing in at one hundred twenty pounds.....from Las Vegas, Nevada.....Savannah Star !!!

"If you close your eyes your life,
A naked truth revealed
Dreams you never lived,
And scars never healed"

Savannah makes her way up the ring steps. She looks out towards the audience for a moment before entering the ring. From there, she heads for a turnbuckle. She stands there, taking in everything. She then lifts her up on top of it. She peers out in nothing, then takes off the hood with a flashy flourish. Her blonde locks fly up in the air. They descend, shaping her face as they famously do.

"In the darkness, light will take you to the other side
You'll find me waiting there you'll see, if you just close your eyes."

While she stands in her corner, she closes her eyes and takes a heavy breath. When her bright eyes open, Taylor is completely composed. There is nothing more than the heat of battle awaiting her. She takes off her robe, giving it to a stagehand. She stretches her wrists before devoting her mind to the war upon the horizon.
Zack: The last time we saw this woman in the ring was FFW vs. Future Shock on July 5th when she scored the only win for FFW that night. Savannah is always a huge part of Unstoppable, and she’s got a Hall of Famer standing in her path tonight.

Lexi: Savannah has faced Hall of Famers before though, and she doesn’t seem to let that get to her at all. She treats everyone with the same disdain if you ask me.

A keyboard could be heard playing across the arena, and as soon as it does a huge red carpet could be seen rolling all the way to the ring. The Mega Man 3 Intro Remake is loud as all of the fans begin to get up in excitement. Across the curtains we can see something charging up like a Mega Buster and as soon as it finishes charging a huge pyro goes off as a figure emerges through the curtains in cyan and blue wrestling attire. She smiles twirling around as the fans begin to go nuts. A blonde emerges from the curtains as she claps her hands for Crystal.

Kat: Ladies and gentlemen making her way to the ring being accompanied by her wife Seleana standing at 5’5 115 pounds she is the “Burning Rose” Crystal Zdunich!!!!!!

Crystal is excited as she sprints to the rope clapping the hands of all of the fans that are cheering her on. She jumps onto the apron and without hesitation she jumps up as high as she possibly can before doing a split to enter the ring. She blows kisses to the fans before bouncing about looking at the entire crowd. Seleana takes her place at ringside smiling. Crystal waits anxiously for the match to begin.

Zack: Crystal Zdunich calls Detroit her hometown, and she was over the moon when she found out she was going to be part of this event right here in the Motor City. She’s got a tall order though in one of the best performers year over year at Unstoppable in Savannah though.

Lexi: Savannah is a tough challenge for anyone, there’s no denying that. Crystal doesn’t seem to be intimidated by the prospect though.

Malcolm Parks was the official in charge of the contest and after checking with both competitors to ensure they were ready he called for the bell. Both women looked focused as they stepped out of their respective corners and headed towards the middle of the ring where Star invited her foe to enter into a lock up. The pair engaged and for a couple of seconds found themselves at a stalemate before Star got the upperhand and locked in an arm wringer on the Burning Rose. Zdunich reached to hold her shoulder for a moment as Savannah spun her arm around in the socket once more, wrenching up on which caused Crystal to bend double for a moment before she tried to come back to her feet only for Savannah to try to step on the back of her knee to drop her down further.

Zack: I remember when this match was announced on Twitter that Savannah didn’t seem too pleased she was facing Crystal tonight, Lexi. Then I got to thinking when was the last time I saw Savannah happy.

Lexi: I don’t think I’ve ever seen her happy to be honest, Zack. I can just imagine her being happy making coats out of dalmations or something.

Zdunich though refused to go down and instead used her agility to ease the pressure in the hold with a handstand, landing on her feet where she went to reverse the hold, locking in an arm wringer of her own. She only managed to hold it for a second though before Star caught her with a thumb to the eye. Even as Parks started to reprimand her for targeting the eyes, Savannah jerked her foe forwards into a lifted knee, repeating that twice more, doubling Crystal over before she grabbed hold of two handfuls of her hair and jerked her downwards, sending her face first into the mat. As soon as Zdunich landed, Star stepped up onto her spine as she walked over her foe, playing to the crowd who booed her loudly.

Zack: Very apropos for Savannah as she looks to use Crystal as a stepping stone to putting a win under her belt on the biggest stage of them all.

Lexi: Wins at Unstoppable are definitely an achievement to be proud of, but they do not come easily. Everyone ups their game it seems for the biggest show of the year, and with good reason.

The blonde turned straight back towards her foe as she pushed back up from the mat, stopping her as she got to her knees and drove a pair of stiff kicks into her chest before she once more grabbed hold of two handfuls of hair and this time used them for a hair beal to send Crystal flying across the ring into the corner. Once more Zdunich was quick to rise, getting back to a feet only for Savannah to catch immediately with a running big boot to the jaw that sent her falling back into the corner. Immediately Star started to unload on her with a series of knife edge chops to the chest. The referee called for the break and counted to four before Savannah took a step backwards, hands raised only to launch herself into a jumping knee to her opponent’s jaw.

Zack: Knee strike well executed from Star. If she ever decided to pursue it, I think Savannah would make an excellent challenger for the Pure Championship. And we know Missy wouldn’t back down from that at all. That title puts the most targets in the company on your back.

Lexi: If anyone is game to defend her title it’s definitely Missy, though I’ve gotta admit she reminds me a little of Scrappy Doo…

The Burning Rose stepped forwards out of the corner, holding her jaw as she did so and Savannah raked her nails down her back, arching her back as she did so only for the Las Vegas native to drive her foe into the mat with a bulldog. Immediately Crystal bounced up onto her hands and knees only for Savannah to catch her in a front facelock. Zdunich forced her way upwards, Savannah rising up with her as she did and when they got back to a vertical base, Star changed her grip and went for a suplex but as she lifted her foe up, Crystal managed to slip out of the hold, landing on her feet behind Savannah and rushed her forwards into the ropes where she rolled her up into an O’Connor roll for the pinfall.

Lexi: Where did that come from?! Crystal’s looking to steal this right from under Savannah’s nose.

One…

Zack: The likelihood of catching Savannah like that this early is slim and none. Slim just left town.

The hand fell once and Savannah kicked out, sending Zdunich towards the ropes. Crystal stopped herself as she hit them and looked over her shoulder as Star was rising back to her feet and the Burning Rose hopped up onto the middle rope and springboard backwards into a crossbody block that sent the blonde back down the canvas as Crystal rolled through and came back to her feet. Savannah was a step behind as she came quickly back to her feet only for the Burning Rose to immediately take off towards the ropes, bouncing off them and taking Star down to the canvas once more with a sling blade clothesline. Once more the Nevadan rolled to the side as she started back to her feet and found herself caught in a cravate hold from the Burning Rose who used her grip around her foes neck to yank her head down into a series of knee strikes to the head. She landed five before she released her grip, letting Savannah stumble back a step, giving the former Evolution Champion enough space to hop onto the blonde’s shoulders and snap off a headscissors takedown sending her across the ring.

Zack:: There’s that speed Crystal is known for. I know for a fact she’d love to complete the trifecta and get herself into FFW Championship contention someday. A win over Savannah could certainly help with that.

Lexi: Honestly though, is there any woman on the roster in either FFW or Future Shock for that matter who wouldn’t like to be in the FFW Championship picture someday?

Savannah started back to her feet and as she made it to a vertical base, Crystal came charging towards her and caught her with a running forearm smash to the jaw.  Two more forearm smashes followed that before Star was sent barreling across the ring into the far corner with an Irish whip. The Burning Rose followed close behind her and a moment after Star hit the turnbuckles, Zdunich caught her with a splash that squashed her against the turnbuckles. Crystal landed on her feet and spun around to catch Savannah while she was still in the corner with a discus shot to the jaw before she brought her foe back towards the middle of the ring with a monkey flip, sending her into the air before she crashed into the mat.

Zack: When it comes to ring experience, Crystal has a bit of an advantage on Savannah. That’s not something you see a ton of on either the FFW and Future Shock roster. Do you think years of experience is still a major factor in wrestling? Or is it made too much of, Lexi?

Lexi: Of course experience is a big factor, but when you see rookies beating veterans it makes you realize that it really isn’t the be all and end all.

Star landed back first in the center of the ring as Crystal kipped up to her feet and darted towards her opponent, delivering a neckbreaker to her as she sat up. The blonde fell to the side, holding her neck only starting to rise a couple of moments later; Zdunich waved her upwards as the crowd cheered her name. As the Nevada native started to push upwards, Crystal let her get almost all the way back to her feet before she headed for the ropes and once more spiked the blonde face first into the canvas with a springboard leg drop bulldog. Quickly Zdunich rolled her opponent to her back and made the cover, hooking the leg as she did so while Parks slid into position to start the count.

Zack: Savannah got her running lights dimmed, and Crystal’s looking for the win again!

One…

Two…

Lexi: No! Savannah has far too much left in the gas tank yet to let Crystal get away with it that easily.

Savannah kicked out as the two count hit the mat and rolled back over onto her front as Crystal took a moment to check and confirm the two count with the referee before she headed towards the corner. Quickly the Burning Rose climbed to the top rope and perched there as she saw her opponent was almost back to her feet, letting her get the rest of the way up and as Star turned towards her, Crystal raised her hands over her head and leapt off, looking for a double ax handle only for Savannah to side step the attempt and catch her as she landed with a fist to the gut. Zdunich immediately held her stomach as she stepped forwards two steps before Savannah caught her and snapped her back down to the mat with a side Russian leg sweep. As soon as they hit the canvas, Star rubbed her neck for a moment or two before she rolled over on top of her foe and started to unleash hammer-like forearms to her foe’s face.

Zack: Look at those stiff blows right to Crystal’s face Savannah knows how to turn up the aggression dial at a moment’s notice.

Lexi: Savannah can be extremely vicious when she wants to be, can’t she? Which let’s face it, is pretty often.

The referee called for the break and started the count, getting to four before Savannah started to come to her feet, pulling Crystal up to her feet with her with a handful of hair, jerking her around in a circle before she yanked her into the corner and started to slam her face first into the top turnbuckle. Again the referee called for the break and started the count as Star continued to drive Zdunich face first into the top turnbuckle, doing it ten times as the official reached four and the blonde stepped back with her hands raised. The referee started to tell her off about using the hair to pull her foe around the ring but the Las Vegas native wasn’t paying any attention as she moved back towards the Burning Rose, pulling her back out of the corner before lifting her up and dropping her face first into the canvas with a wheelbarrow sitout facebuster.

Zack: Shades of Jo McFarlane with that facebuster, and Savannah is in firm control of this match here in front of 80,000 plus.

Lexi: We’ve seen time and time again how quickly the tides can change in a match though haven’t we? Savannah can’t let herself get complacent.

Savannah rolled to the side and used the ring ropes to pull herself to her feet, rubbing her neck once more as she did so and fired off a stiff kick to the back of her head as Crystal made to her knees, sending her back down to all fours. Immediately Star began to stomp away at her opponent’s shoulder blades, slowly causing her to collapse back down to the mat. As Crystal finally found herself laid flat out on the canvas once more, Star climbed to the middle rope and threw her hands in the air as if celebrating a victory which got her booed loudly by the Ford Field crowd.

Zack: I don’t think now is the time to be genuflecting in the match, especially against a veteran like Crystal.

Lexi: I really don’t think it’s time for celebration yet, Savannah’s a little bit premature with her victory showboating.

Savannah grinned as she looked down to find the Burning Rose was once more starting to push up and had made it to all fours before she jumped off the middle rope and delivered a curb stomp to the back of her foe’s head, causing Zdunich’s legs to kick up into the air as her face was driven into the canvas. Quickly Star stepped backwards, stooping to grab her foe by an ankle and jerked her backwards, a foot, out of the corner and away from the ropes before she trapped her feet and fell to the mat, looking as though she was about to apply an STF but before she locked her fingers underneath her chin she grabbed hold of Crystal’s hair, pulling her face up from the canvas as she smirked at Seleana Zdunich at ringside, asking her if she’d made her wife any prettier before she finally applied the chinlock and used it to start to wrench on her the head and neck of the Burning Rose.

Zack: You can hear Savannah playing mind games, and trying to get in the head of Crystal by bringing up her wife. You see her there at ringside, understandably concerned.

Lexi: You just Savannah would be the first to complain if someone brought her husband into it though don’t you?

The official dropped down and asked Crystal if she wanted to quit, getting a shake of the head and a ‘No’ as Zdunich clawed at the mat, trying to pull herself forwards to the ropes, reaching out for them and finding them just out of reach. The referee asked again as Star tightened up her grip, wrenching on the head and neck further as she did, getting another ‘No’ as the former Evolution Champion scrabbled at the canvas with both hands, managing to pull them both forwards just far enough to be able to hook her fingers over the bottom rope. The official immediately called for the break, Savannah moving her fingers up to cover and smother Crystal’s mouth and nose as the referee counted, reaching four before Savannah broke her grip and rolled away.

Zack: Star’s taking every second of the five count she can get before Parks cals for the bell. Nobody wants to leave Unstoppable tonight with a disqualification, I don’t think.

Lexi: She’s definitely pushing it as far as she can get away with isn’t she? But saying that, there’s very few that don’t.

The Nevada native came back to her feet, pulling Zdunich up with her and told Seleana that she was going to break her wife’s nose before she Irish whipped her across the ring into the far turnbuckle. Crystal struck the pads hard and Star charged in after her, catching her with a big boot to the face, holding the pose with her foot over the top rope for a moment as she did so before she stepped back, pulling Crystal out of the corner with her and straight into a single knee facebreaker. Once more the Burning Rose fell back against the turnbuckle pads, holding her nose as she did so before Star pulled her out of the corner only to shove her back against the ropes and then send her in for the ride, catching her on the return with a leg lariat that took her down to the canvas. Quickly Savannah kipped back up to her feet and wasted no time at all in pressing her foot down on her foe’s face, grinding her boot as she played to the crowd, getting booed loudly as the referee called for the break and started the count, getting to four before Savannah stepped up and over the Burning Rose.

Zack: Do you think being in front of your hometown can be a help or hindrance? Of course, you want to win in front of them. But do you think it also increases the pressure you put on yourself, Lexi?

Lexi: I’m not sure if it increases the pressure, but I think it would be a help. That burst of motivation to make them proud, could be the difference needed to give it that extra little push.

Crystal rolled to her front holding her face as she did so and Savannah turned to drop an elbow into her foe’s spine before she grabbed hold of her arm, pulling it to the side where she locked in a wristlock as she pushed up on her feet, arching backwards to apply a fujiwara armbar at the same time. Parks dropped down, asking Zdunich if she wanted to quit and getting a pained ‘No’ from her as her feet kicked against the mat, her face a mask of pain. The referee asked again as Star kept the hold applied and again Crystal refused as she tried to use her upper body strength to push upwards and move herself to the side. Star leaned back further in the hold, using the wristlock to exert more pressure as she looked to be trying to rip the arm out of the shoulder, Zdunich giving out a cry of pain and desperately shaking her head as the referee asked her the question again before she kicked out her foot and managed to hook the toe of her boot over the bottom rope. Parks called for the break but Savannah kept the hold applied.

Zack: And here we go again with her milking the count. The referee isn’t gonna catch her with a DQ, she’s too smart for that.

Lexi: Can you imagine how unhappy she would be if he did though?! It would make her normal demeanor look like a girl scout in comparison.

The official started the count as Star refused to release it, holding it until he got right to the point of disqualifying her and started to pull her off. That caused Savannah to come to her feet and pushed the referee away from her, telling him not to touch her. He looked to be about to disqualify her but thought better of it as he reminded her that he was the referee and that he had the stripes and this was her last warning, the next time she didn’t listen to his instructions and break by five, he would disqualify her, causing Savannah to roll her eyes. Meanwhile Crystal had rolled onto her front, still looking to be in pain as she held her shoulder with one hand. As the referee finished his reprimand, the former No Surrender Champion turned back towards Zdunich and bent down to pull her upwards but as she did so, the Burning Rose grabbed hold of a handful of hair with her good arm and quickly brought up her knee to deliver a pair of knee strikes to the side of the blondes head then pulled her down into a small package pinning combination. Parks dropped down into position to make the count.

Lexi: Where did that come from?! Crystal is a three away from getting the win!

One…

Two…

…TH–

Zack: A close call for Crystal right there, but she’s still in this match.

Savannah kicked out as the three count was coming down and quickly came back to her feet, not even bothering to check the count with the official as she began to stomp away at her opponent’s head and shoulder. The referee demanded the break, telling Star to let Zdunich up from the canvas and started the count, getting to four before she stepped backwards with her hands raised then spun and took off towards the far ropes, hitting them and coming back as Crystal forced herself up to her knees and swayed backwards to avoid a running knee lift from Star. The blonde hit the ropes and Crystal pulled her down into a schoolgirl pinning combination. Parks once more dropped down into position to count the fall.

Lexi: Crystal is determined to get Savannah, but I’m not sure Savannah is far enough gone yet!

Zack: Yet another close call for Crystal, but she’s learning fast that Savannah doesn’t go down easily.

Again Star kicked out, sending Crystal falling into the ropes. Zdunich used them to pull herself upright as Savannah rolled backwards and came to her feet. The blonde immediately stepped towards her foe but as she did so only to walk straight into a savate kick to the underside of the jaw. The Las Vegas native stumbled backwards as hate followed it up with a superkick to the jaw that caused Savannah to spin away, trying to stay on her feet but failed as she collapsed to her knees. It was only for a moment before she pushed straight back up to her feet, reeling around as she did so to face Crystal who fired herself off the ropes and launched herself into the air, hooking her opponent’s head as she did and spinning around and around and around her before finally spiking her headfirst into the canvas with a satellite DDT. Savannah collapsed to the mat on her back as Crystal landed next to her and lay on the mat, holding her shoulder with a look of pain still on her face.

Zack: Words can’t do justice to what Crystal’s shoulder is experiencing at this exact moment, but she’s gutting it out.

Lexi: That’s a hell of a lot of resilience that Crystal is showing right now, but i’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, there’s only so much that a body can take.

Star started to sit up which prompted Crystal to roll up to her knees where she moved slightly to get closer to her opponent and lit up her chest with a stiff chop. Two more followed before Crystal came to her feet as her foe made it to her knees and Zdunich delivered another pair of chops to the blonde’s chest. Savannah covered up as she pushed up to her feet and that saw the Burning Rose deliver a mongolian chip then a ridgehand chop across the throat. Star gasped for air as she stepped backwards, Crystal shaking out her arm before she Irish whipped her foe across the ring into the corner, following her in as she did so and stepped up onto the middle rope to deliver a high knee into her jaw. Crystal dropped back down to the mat, only to immediately step onto the middle rope once more and this time connecting with an enzuigiri to the side of her foe’s head. Star started to slump a little in the corner with her hands dropped down by her waist and was finally sent all the way down to a sitting position courtesy of a Flashing Lights chick kick to the side of the head from Zdunich.

Zack: She calls that FLASHING LIGHTS…and it might as well be tweety birds Savannah could be seeing right now.

Lexi: Crystal’s using Savannah’s head like a football, and I’d be surprised if Savannah’s not seeing double at the very least right now.

The Burning Rose saw her foe sitting in the corner against the turnbuckles and quickly backed up, circling around the ring, building up speed till she reached the corner diagonally opposite and sprinted forwards into a cannonball senton that saw her crash into the blonde. Crystal rolled away to come back to a vertical base, grabbing hold of Savannah by the ankle as she did so and pulled her out of the corner. Zdunich, however, didn’t go for the pin, instead she stepped over her foe, pointing to the top as she fans cheered her loudly before she hopped up and delivered a split legged moonsault. It landed perfectly; Savannah started to curl up into a ball and roll to the side on impact only to get pushed back to the mat where Crystal made the cover and hooked the leg as she did so.

Zack: Crystal’s getting closer and closer to picking up her first Unstoppable win in years!

…THRE–

Lexi: That was the closest we’ve come tonight to a three, but Savannah is holding on!

Star’s shoulder popped up before the three count could be completed and Crystal knelt up, holding her shoulder with one hand as she asked for the three with the other; Parks telling her it was a two and the shoulder came up before the three. Crystal nodded her head and started back to her feet, pulling Savannah up with her and straight into a spinning neckbreaker. Savannah held her neck with both hands as she fell to the side and Zdunich didn’t waste any time as she used a handful of the blonde’s hair to pull her back into a sitting position, trapped her arm under one leg and started to hammer away at her neck with elbow strikes. The referee asked for the break and started the count, getting to three before Crystal rose, once more jerking Savannah up to her feet and applied a standing headlock, wrenching it on tightly before she set off across the ring, launching herself feet first through the ropes as she drove the top of the blonde’s skull into the middle turnbuckle, dropping her to her knees.

Lexi: Now that is gonna knock a few cobwebs loose!

Crystal slipped through the ropes to the apron and quickly climbed up to the top rope as Savannah pulled herself upwards and started to step backwards. As the former No Surrender Champion started to straighten up, facing her foe who was on the top rope, the Burning Rose launched herself off and delivered a blockbuster to Star. Quickly Zdunich spun around and hooked both legs as she pinned the blonde.

Zack: That might be the knockout shot for Zdunich!

One…

…THRE—-

Lexi: I’m sure at this point Crystal is wondering just what it’s going to take to keep Savannah down for a three count. She looks determined to find out though.

Once more Star managed to get her shoulder up off the mat and Crystal shook her head as the referee showed her the two, asking for three even as he explained the shoulder came up. Still Zdunich had the three fingers raised as she looked down at Savannah who had rolled onto her front, nearer the ropes. The crowd cheered Crystal on as she came to her feet and headed towards the corner, climbing to the top rope once more. As she got to the top she perched there for a moment, waving her foe upwards as Star was slowly beginning to rise. As she got to a vertical base, Crystal rose to her feet on the top and the Nevada native lunged towards the ropes, catching the top one and causing Crystal to lose her footing and crash down hard on the turnbuckle arm.

Zack: That hurt to watch, and I can’t imagine how it felt. That’s not a fun ride to land on up there!

The crowd booed Savannah loudly as she head towards the corner and climbed up to the top rope with Crystal. As she reached the middle rope, Zdunich tried to fight her off, clubbing at her ribcage with three shots only for Star to cut off her fightback with a thumb jabbed into her eye. The Burning Rose tried to get away, swatting at her foes arm and almost overbalanced, correcting herself as Savannah came to the top rope and the blonde leapt up onto her shoulders to snap off a frankensteiner, sending Crystal crashing hard to the canvas on her back while the blonde landed face down on the mat and held her neck for a moment, kicking her feet against the mat as the referee checked on her.

Zack: There you see Parks checking on Crystal, he’s been at the center of controversy for how he’s been refereeing the Latina Heat matches on Future Shock. But he’s been down the middle tonight!

Lexi: Gotta admit, whether you love or hate Savannah, that was an impressively done frankensteiner.

Savannah waved the official away as she crawled forwards to the corner once more and used the ropes to pull herself back to her feet before she turned to watch her foe. Zdunich had managed to push her way up to one knee and was taking a second before she pushed the rest of the way to her feet, turning towards Star as she did so, only for the Las Vegas native to catch her with a running European uppercut to the jaw. The Burning Rose staggered for a moment and was jerked forwards by the wrist into an STO backbreaker that saw her sent down to the canvas. As Zdunich arched her spine up from the canvas, Savannah pulled her upwards and straight into the Emerald Weapon corkscrew neckbreaker. Star made the cover and hooked the leg as she did so.

Zack: EMERALD WEAPON! That’s gonna do it!!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: No! Crystal is proving to be just as resilient as Savannah is. Surely neither of them can have much left in the tank at this point?!

At the very last moment, Crystal’s shoulder popped up from the canvas to stop the count, Parks waving off the three and telling Savannah that the shoulder came up in time. Star shook her head but demanding the three count only for Parks to shake his head, telling her it was only a two and the shoulder definitely came up in time. She glared at him, warning him not to test her or slow count her again as she came back to her feet. Star stared down at the still unmoving Burning Rose and charged towards the ring ropes, hopping up onto the middle and launched herself off into the Dancing Mad springboard 450 splash…

Lexi: This could be it for Crystal. Savannah has her scouted and she’s taking flight!

…but as she was coming down, Zdunich raised her boot to catch her on the jaw; Savannah landing on her feet for a second, taking a step before she crumpled and collapsed to the mat. The Burning Rose’s leg dropped to the canvas and she stayed laying there, the referee checking on both women before he started to count them both out. He reached three before Zdunich started to sit up, holding her back as she did so and continued to struggle up to her feet. Savannah was a second or two behind her; Parks stopping his count at eight as Crystal made it to her feet, Star was a moment behind her but when the blonde turned towards her opponent, Zdunich kicked her gut to double her over before she hooked her head and moved towards the ropes, pushing off the middle rope as she drove the blonde down into the canvas with a shiranui.

Zack: Look at that agility, Crystal is on another level!

Lexi: I’m just wondering where on earth she got the energy from for it! I’m worn out just watching these two.

Crystal landed on her knees after delivering the move and instantly popped back up to her feet, turning to the side and charging across the ring to hit the ropes as Savannah held her neck. Zdunich came back and launched herself into the Smell The Roses handspring standing moonsault. It landed perfectly across Star’s body and Crystal hooked both legs for the cover, Parks dropping down into position to make the count.

Zack: Savannah just got to SMELL THE ROSES!

One…

Two…

…THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lexi: I’m not sure if that was instinct or design, but Savannah just saved herself!

Savannah rolled her shoulder in the nick of time and Crystal looked at the referee, asking him for the three but got the two shown to her. Zdunich shook her head as she looked down at the blonde, beating a fist against the mat in frustration as Star rolled to her side holding her midsection. Again Crystal checked with the referee, only to be told that the arm came up in time that once more caused the former Evolution Champion shake her head. Star was starting to push upwards from the mat but as she did so, the Burning Rose made the single to the crowd, stopping her before she could even sit up as she went to lock in the Power Absorption finisher, wrapping her arms around her opponent’s head as her legs went to trap her arms. As she went to lock it in though, Savannah had the presence of mind to reach out and grab hold of Crystal’s hair, yanking fiercely on it and used her grip to counter the submission, rolling Zdunich onto her back with her shoulders on the canvas. Parks dropped to make the count.

Zack: Look at that counter from Savannah! She may have it right here!

One…

Two…

…THRE–

Lexi: I don’t know about these two, but I’m not sure how much more of this I can take!

Crystal released the hold in the nick of time, shoving Star away from her as she did so. Savannah forced herself to her feet as Zdunich also made it to a vertical base only for Star to skip forwards and drive a pump kick into her opponent’s gut. Zdunich caught the boot before it could connect and as Star hopped on one foot, Crystal fired off a chick kick into the side of her head. It caused the Las Vegas native to spin around as her legs turned to jelly and the Burning Rose quickly rolled her up with a school girl that she transitioned once more into the Power Absorption. She got it locked in tight on her opponent this time. The official dropped down and asked Savannah if she wanted to quit, getting a woozy ‘No’ from the blonde as she struggled to try and free her arms to no success before she attempted to turn into the hold to counter with a pinfall. Crystal though saw it coming this time and used her leg strength to take her back down to the mat.

Lexi: Crystal just stopped Savannah from countering and this could be it!

Again, the blonde refused to submit as the referee asked her, struggling to try and find an escape which saw Crystal tighten up the hold further and finally Savannah realised that she had no choice but to surrender, tapping her hand against the mat. The referee saw it and called for the bell. Zdunich released the hold as it sounded and rolled to her knees, watching Savannah as she rose to her feet and got her hand raised by the official.

Kat: Here is your winner, by way of submission… “THE BURNING ROSE” CRYSTAL ZDUNICH!!!

Zack: I didn’t see that coming from the high flier, but Crystal got the submission here in front of her own hometown! What a way to return to Unstoppable!

Lexi: A submission win on the grandest stage in women’s wrestling is sure to feel absolutely amazing for Crystal!

The crowd cheered her loudly as she climbed the ropes to celebrate her ring before she was joined by her wife, hugging her as Savannah rolled to the outside holding her neck. In the Seleana raised her wife’s hand in celebration, causing them to cheer loudly once more before the show cut elsewhere.

The Belles Will Be Ringing

The next thing we see is the back of Jake Chandler with the camera following after him. He finds the door he’s looking for, and gives a knock before getting the response he could come in, and that’s when we find he’s in one of the suites set aside for the Future Shock talent to watch the show. In this case, it’s the Shaolin Belles. (Big surprise, right?)

Jake: I have good news that doesn’t involve switching to Geico…and somehow the camera found out and followed me.

He points towards the person operating the camera.

Jake: Good thing I wasn’t going to the bathroom.

Arabella: It certainly is! And whatever news you have, I’m sure it has to be important since a cameraman decided to follow you.

Angelina: Did Dani and the inferior Francesca quit?

Jake: Well….no.

He seems a little dismayed now.

Jake; But uh…I think it’s news that might make you both equally excited…or at least close to it.

Arabella: What is it? Besides, I’m glad they haven’t quit - we still have receipts to hand them in Sydney.

Jake moved closer to his girlfriend, and showed her a document he had been carrying.

Jake: Your tag title match date has been set for August 16th on Future Shock. The Belles and Target Acquired in their first defense since winning the titles. Oh and Adam has decided to ban Latina Heat from ringside for the match….just in case.

Angelina: Maybe handcuff them to their lockers, just in case of anything.

Arabella: Not a bad idea. I’m excited to face off against Nadia and Alessandra again, though. So long as we don’t run into any interferences, of course.

Jake: According to this paper…. If they get involved, a six month suspension is what will happen as a result. I’d say he means business.

Arabella: Well, that’s a relief at least. We’ll be looking forward to seeing Target Acquired in the ring again, and hopefully we’ll come out as two-time Future Shock tag team champions!

Angelina: Not hopefully - we’re gonna do it. We’ve already done it. That’s how you manifest shit.

Jake turned his attention back to the camera operator.

Jake: Was there something you wanted? Or was this just following me to see what I was going to tell the Belles?

Camera Operator: A little of both. With Adam’s job on the line in the next match, where do you ladies stand? I think I know, but feel free to go on the record. You two supporting Missy or Scarlett? Do you think he made a mistake putting his own job on the line?

Arabella: I think it shows the amount of faith that Adam has in Missy, as he rightfully should. No disrespect meant to Scarlett of course, but I’m pulling for Missy in this match.

Angelina: Same. A big reason why I came to Future Shock for the reboot was Adam Grant. The entire reason I came back the second time was due to him as well. Cody seems fine, I guess, but after the way he kinda ran SVW into the ground, my faith in him is not strong. So yeah, Team Missy all the way.

Camera Operator: That’s coming up, so we’ll see if you both get your wish.

The show cuts to a video package of the history between Adam and Cody, and how it all lead to Missy and Scarlett meeting tonight.

After the video package showing the history between the two women about to meet, the show returns to the ring and finds Kat waiting to begin the introductions.

Zack: This show has been billed as having 4 title matches on, but there’s also a career on the line for one man or another depending on how this goes. And I know my broadcast partner here is Team Adam all the way.

Lexi: Definitely! Adam is my boss across in Future Shock, so you know I’m going to be Team Adam.

Kat: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish. If Scarlett wins, her husband becomes COO of FFW again and Adam Grant will resign from Future Shock. If Missy wins, Adam remains in his position and Cody will not be the COO.

Zack: Like I said, there’s a lot on the line here and it has nothing to do with championships. But I’d say it’s just as important. And like you said earlier tonight, probably even more.

Lexi: It’s important enough when you’re fighting for your own career, but fighting for someone else's, that just ups the importance and pressure about tenfold I’d say.

The video wall flickered into the life the screen is filled with a blue and dirty off-white check pattern that quickly recedes revealing white tiled walls, gleaming stainless steel surfaces that hint at a commercial kitchen and the cause of the pattern. There was a slim young woman in her late teens or early twenties with red hair facing the camera. Her outfit choice of a white t-shirt and faded blue jeans had seen better days and was fortunately half hidden underneath a tabbard. She was half sitting, half leaning on the edge of one of the shining silver coloured table tops with a look of unease rests on her face, not looking at the camera as she nervously fiddled with a cloth before looking towards the camera.

“Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Scarlett.”

As soon as she finished speaking, the guitar riff hit the sound system, causing the crowd pop to get even louder. The video wall changed to playing highlights from Scarlett Kincaid’s career, starting with Sin & Sacrifice 2010 and Undine tapping out in the sharpshooter before the red haired wrestler raised the Evolution Championship in the air.

“All my life I've been chasing something
I feel fate breathing down my neck
If the road I'm on somehow lead me nowhere
No retreats man no regrets”

The second highlight saw her drive Isabella Pazzini through a chair with a DDT off the ring ropes before she made the cover for the three. The girl look stunned as she was presented with the title before her friends hit the ring to celebrate her victory. The highlights switched to Unstoppable 2011 - this time showing Scarlett getting defeated, pulling herself up to sit in the corner as Kaitlynn Stryfe celebrated.

“'Cause I'm not going to break
and there ain't no mistakes
and there ain't no turning back”

The next highlight came from Anarchy 2012 as Isabella Pazzini drove Scarlett’s body through two burning tables with a sunset flip powerbomb. The Italian climbing out of the wreckage to lift the FFW Championship as the camera focused on a still unmoving New Orleans native.

“Out of the darkness
And into the light of love
Though for now it seems this struggle has only begun”

The next highlight came from Unstoppable 2015; Wendy Briese delivering a Dragonrana and making the pin, the referee counting only for Scarlett Kincaid to kick out a moment before three. Wendy came to her feet and went for a springboard leg drop that saw Scarlett move at the last moment before she caught Briese in a kimura arm lock, twisting on the limb, causing Wendy’s face to twist into a look of agony before she tapped out once more. Scarlett again getting presented with the FFW Championship.

“I'm still believing
Our day is going to come
When we step out of the shadows and into the sun
Into the sun”

This time the highlight cut back to earlier in Scarlett’s career. The Louisiana native stood on top of the cage, measuring up a thin blonde laid out on the announce desk before she launched herself off, twisting her body into a corkscrew shooting star press. The footage slowing down and fading out before she hit. The music also faded as the last remaining lights in the stadium cut out.

After a second a new song starts to play - “Ready Set Let’s Go” by Sam Tinnesz - as a row of lights flick on along the edge of the stage, a person on each one dancing to the music and encouraging the crowd to clap to the beat.

“No pain, no victory
Your reign is history
'Cause we're not stoppin' 'til we break through
So take your best shot, make your move

Oh, step right up, who's next?
You're messin' with the best”

As the word ‘best’ is sung, a number of spotlights hit the stage, all focusing on Scarlett Kincaid, the Louisiana native had her head bowed and a fist raised in the air. The song continued and Scarlett raised her head with a smile, starting to shadow box on the stage. Cody Kincaid stepped out from the back to join her.

“We're death defyin'
Coming in like lightnin'
Look out, we're strikin'
Ready set, ready set let's go
This fire's blazin'
We're troublemakin'
We got you shakin'”

On the word ‘go’ she shared a kiss with her husband before the pair started to stride towards the ring, as the lights down the ramp flared ahead of her in shades of orange, red and yellow like flames leading her down to the ring. While on the shakin’ the dancers on the stage stomped their feet rapidly.

“Ready set, ready set let's go
Go oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh
Go oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh oh
Ready set, ready set let's go

High volts through these veins
Trouble is our gain
Keepin' aces up every sleeve
Bringing rivals down to their knees”

Scarlett reached the bottom of the ramp and circled the ring before she headed up the ring steps and stepped through the ropes that Cody was holding open for her, heading towards each corner in turn, climbing to the middle rope and throwing her hands in the air. She finished in her corner after throwing her hands in the air, she turned and sat on the top turnbuckle. Looking up and pointing two fingers to the heavens before she pressed a kiss to the fingers and pressed them against the two sets of initials stitched into her ring gear at her hip. She hopped down and kissed her husband again before he dropped back down to the floor in the corner while Scarlett stretched out with the help of the ropes while she waited for the match to start as the music faded out.

Zack: Scarlett Kincaid hasn’t been in a wrestling ring for most of a year since SVW closed. She hasn’t been in a FFW ring for years! She is, bar none, one of the best to have ever done it. Tonight, she tries to get her husband his old job back…and it looks like Cody came with her. He hasn’t made a habit of that when she’s had matches in the past. What do you make of that, Lexi?

Lexi: I’d say he’s wanting to keep a close eye on the match to be honest. He has a lot riding on this, so I’d have been more surprised if he’d stayed in the back honestly.

The lights in the arena go off before a single purple spotlight hits the stage. As the opening bars of Wild Side by Cross My Heart Hope To Die starts to play Missy appears at the entrance way. Missy stands perfectly still, as her head stays bent, looking towards the ground and her manager Christian Kincaid walks out to stand behind her.

I've been on my best behavior
But I've heard that good girls finish last
And once you're gone they say no one can save you
But who knows if I go I may never want to ever come back
We've all fell victim to temptation
It seems that I'm the last one holding on
What's the use in fighting for my salvation
And why does it feel so damn right to want to be so wrong

At the side of Missy purple lights flash on and off, looking almost like fireworks, as she remains perfectly still. As the lights subside, Missy raises her arms up to the air and a single white spotlight accompanies the move.

I just wanna dance with the devil tonight
I wanna know what it feels like
I wanna close my eyes, put my hands in the sky
I wanna walk on the wild side

Kat: Introducing at this time…. Hailing from Leeds, England and weighing in at One hundred and twelve pounds… she is MIIIIISSSSSY!

Missy makes her way down the ramp to the ring keeping her eyes straight ahead, focussing on the ring, with Christian following a few steps behind. When she reaches the ring she slowly climbs the steel steps, surveying the crowd as she does until she reaches the top. She steps onto the apron and gives one final look around before she enters the ring between the top and middle rope. Leaning over the top rope she shares a few last minute words with her manager as her theme music ends.

Zack: Missy definitely has her game face on for this one. If you watched her promo for this match, it’s very safe to say she’s fired up and ready to get things underway. I also know the majority of the Future Shock locker room is cheering her on too.

Lexi: I think it’s pretty rare for Missy not to have a game her face on for any match, but you can definitely feel the atmosphere for this one.

Zack: I was informed earlier today that if Scarlett wins this match, Tuesday night in HIdalgo, Texas on the very next Future Shock would be Adam’s last night.

Lexi: And pretty much the whole of Future Shock is hoping and praying that, that won’t be the case!

Referee Kevin Fisk calls for the bell to start the match as both women look across at one another. Scarlett takes in the setting for a second after being out of a FFW ring for as long as she has. Cody shares some encouragement with his wife from ringside before the Cajun and the British brunette meet in the center of the ring. Kincaid offers Missy a handshake, to which the brunette looks down and takes it. Scarlett shakes her hand before Missy yanks her forward with a headbutt to the face. She keeps hold of that hand as she unloads with lefts to the side of her head, rocking Scarlett in place before a judo throw sends her over to the mat.

Zack: Missy’s not interested in making friends with Scarlett. Throw the sportsmanship out the window, and we’re underway!

Lexi: It’s very different to when the last met over in SVW isn’t it? I know there was a lot of respect there at that time. Definitely doesn’t seem to be the case tonight.

Missy kept hold of Scarlett’s hand as she tried to get up, and started firing kicks into her body repeatedly. Each of them kept her on her knees for a second before she was up again. The brunette spun into her with a back elbow to the jaw before she whipped her chest first into the far corner. A running splash to her back sandwiched her against the turnbuckles before Missy grabbed both arms for a straitjacket backstabber that sent the redhead to the canvas. The Pure Champion rolled over her for the cover!

Zack: It’s all Missy from the bell, and she’s pitching a shutout not far from Tiger Stadium!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Scarlett kicked out, and shoved the Pure Champion off the cover. The Cajun was almost to her feet when a running kneelift caught her on the jaw. It sent her rolling towards the ropes, which she used to get up to her feet. But Missy took off towards her with a running European uppercut that sent her through the ropes to the apron.

Lexi: I definitely think it’s going to take more from Missy to put Scarlett down for a three count, but it doesn’t look like she minds doing the work, does it?

Missy pulled Scarlett’s head between the ropes to pull her almost back into the ring. She turned that into a hangman’s DDT, spiking her head into the mat before rising to her feet. Christian looked on approvingly from the corner as his brother looked less enthusiastic on the other side of the ring. The Brit pulled her to the center of the ring by her arm before grabbing the other to deliver stomps to the back of her head. Five in a row landed before Missy connected with a double knee drop into her back.

Zack: Scarlett’s not gotten out of the blocks yet, there may be a little ring rust there. She hasn’t been in a ring for quite a while. Plus it’s hard to prepare for a match with someone who has been at the top of their game the same way Missy has.

Lexi: Missy has been on a roll lately hasn’t she? I honestly don’t think she can afford to get complacent though, I’m sure Scarlett will find her feet sooner rather than later.

The brunette took off for the far side, and rebounded to look for her curb stomp. But Scarlett dodged out of the way before she could hit it. The Cajun got back to her feet, and turned just as Missy aimed a roundhouse kick for her head. But Scarlett caught the foot, spun her around and used an atomic drop to send her into the nearest corner. Missy had barely turned around before Scarlett followed her in a jumping knee strike to the side of her head. It sent the Pure Champion reeling before Scarlett hoisted her up for a stalling brainbuster to the mat.

Zack: Scarlett’s starting to get her offense rolling here. This is the third time these two have ever met in their careers. And the first two times were in SVW with the Defiance title as the goal.

Lexi: Things were very different between them then though, you would have almost believed they friends, even as they fought tooth and nail for the Defiance Championship.

Scarlett wasted no time in pulling her to her feet for a double underhook DDT to the mat. When she spots Missy starting to get up again, she bounces off the near side for a running neckbreaker to stop her in her tracks. The champion started to rise again before getting caught in a leg hook Saito suplex before Kincaid made the cover.

Zack: There’s the SCARPLEX! Kincaid’s playing all her greatest hits here!

ONE!!

TW-NO.

Missy kicked out as the two was coming down, and Scarlett rolled her onto her stomach to deliver elbow strikes to her head and neck. She finally pulled her to her feet, and sent her in for the ride with an Irish whip. Missy grabbed the top rope instead of rebounding, and Scarlett sent her out of the ring with a discus lariat.

Lexi: We’ve seen before how much it takes to keep Missy down, so I don’t think Scarlett is even slightly surprised that she kicked out then.

Christian moved around to his client, kneeling next to her and sharing a few words as she got back to her feet. Scarlett took off towards her as she got up, catching her with a baseball slide to the chest that sent her backwards into the barricade. Kincaid looked at her brother-in-law for a second before going to retrieve Missy to get her back in the ring. Scarlett rolled Missy back into the ring, and climbed up onto the apron to wait for her to get up. When the Pure Champion was back to her feet, Scarlett launched herself over the top rope with a flying clothesline before going for the cover once again.

Zack: Scarlett using plenty of high impact to keep Missy down, but is this gonna be enough?

ONE!!

TW-NO.

Missy kicked out again, and Scarlett was back to her feet. She headed for the corner to take a seat on the top turnbuckle. She looked to be measuring her opponent for something, waiting for the brunette to get up. When Missy was up to all fours, Kincaid came off the middle rope with a guillotine leg drop to the back of her head.

Lexi: Scarlett is definitely finding her rhythm now and it’s almost like she hasn’t been away from the ring at all.

The brunette headed towards the ropes, using them to get back to her feet. That’s when Scarlett took off towards her, leaving her feet for a reverse rana. But the Brit hooked both arms around the top rope, and let Scarlett fall backwards on her head to the mat instead. Christian praised her before she turned around, and began to collect herself. The British brunette pulled her to her feet, and executed a pumphandle slam that drove her into the canvas.

Zack: After absorbing quite the onslaught there, Missy’s getting her groove back now. We can see Cody’s out here with anxious looks. You think Adam is backstage feeling the same way?

Lexi: I’m sure Adam will be watching closely, but given how confident he sounded in his wife’s abilities, I’m not sure how anxious he will be.

She started to circle around the redhead as Scarlett was getting back to her feet. When the Cajun was vertical once again, Missy snatched her arms from behind and went for a full nelson. She wasn’t having much success trying to clasp her fingers, so she turned it into a full nelson slam instead. The Pure Champion used the ropes for a springboard into an Asai moonsault that landed flush on target before hooking the leg for the cover.

Zack: The Pure Champion’s getting aerial now, looking to put Scarlett away and Cody out of FFW!

ONE!!

TWOOO!!!

TH-NO.

Kincaid got her shoulder up before the three came down, and Missy rolled her over enough to apply a rear naked choke. The Cajun immediately felt it, and started to head towards the ropes until the Brit added a bodyscissors as well to slow her down.

Lexi: I think Missy made it clear before the match that this was more about keeping Cody out of FFW than it was about beating Scarlett, but the two go hand in hand and Missy is looking to choke Scarlett out right now.

And it worked too. The former 5 time FFW Champion struggled as she tried to pull them both towards the ropes. Missy tightened her grip seemingly, trying to choke her out much more quickly before the redhead managed to kick her foot across the bottom rope. The brunette let go, and shoved Scarlett away from her as she got back to her feet. She headed for the farthest corner, and dropped down to her knee.

Zack: Scarlett was in that choke long enough to need some time to get her breath back, but getting up may be a bad idea. I’m not sure what Missy has in mind over there in the corner.

Lexi: I sometimes wonder if it’s better to know or not know what your opponent has in mind.

Kincaid was still coughing and trying to get her breath back as she started to get up to a knee. Cody moved around in front of her on the outside, trying to warn his wife where Missy was. It wasn’t clear if she heard him over the crowd as she rose to her feet. And when she turned around, Missy charged out of the corner with a Superman punch aimed for her jaw! But the redhead ducked the shot! When the Brit turned around, Scarlett snatched her arm into her ripcord elbow strike! It dropped the Pure Champion into a heap before Scarlett quickly made the cover!

Zack: She wanted a Superman punch…but Scarlett damn near broke her jaw with that BATON ROUGE BOMB!! This is over!! Adam’s career in FFW is done!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Missy got her shoulder off the mat just as the three was about to land. Scarlett looked at Fisk for confirmation before she started back to her feet.

Lexi: No! Missy is still in this and Adam’s career is still safe… for now!

Kincaid dragged Missy to her hands and knees before planting her head between her legs. She hooked both of her arms into position for her facebuster finisher, but Missy countered with a back body drop that sent her over the top rope to the floor. The champion stumbled forward to her knees to get herself together as quickly as she could.

Zack: That was inspired timing from Missy, because I don’t think she would have made it if Scarlett hit her facebuster.

Lexi: That really would have been the end of Adam’s career in FFW if Scarlett had hit that. Thank heavens she didn’t!

Fisk began to count Scarlett out as the redhead was getting herself together. She was back on her feet by the time he got to 5, and climbed onto the apron to get back inside. As soon as she did, Missy grabbed her head and went to suplex her back into the ring. She got her up, but Scarlett landed on her feet behind her and went for a rear waistlock. She tried to snap off a German suplex, but Missy had a tight grip of the top rope. Another attempt, another failure before Kincaid drove a headbutt into the base of her neck. That loosened the brunette’s grip enough for Scarlett to plant her with a German suplex.

Zack: Scarlett got the suplex she wanted, but neither of these two women have done enough to put the other away yet. Right now, it looks like Adam’s job is hanging by a thread!

Lexi: This really could go either way. Both women are giving it their all to try and secure their husband’s position.

Kincaid pulled her back to her feet, and whipped her across for the ride. Missy rebounded into a discus elbow to the jaw that rocked her backwards. Scarlett took off for the near side ropes, and used a leaping knee strike to drop the brunette to the mat. The redhead planted her head, and hoisted her up into a ganso bomb before stacking her legs on top of her for the cover!

Zack: From one knockout shot to another, Missy got planted with that ganso bomb! Cody’s 3 seconds from getting his job back!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Missy’s shoulder came off the mat in time before the three, and Scarlett made it back to her feet. She shook her head looking down at her opponent before pulling her up again. She scooped her upside down for a tombstone piledriver, but Missy countered and landed back on her feet. The brunette was still dazed though, and Scarlett dropped her with a facebuster instead.

Lexi: I’m trying to figure out if that was by design or just pure reflex that Missy’s shoulder came up then, but either way, she saved herself.

Scarlett pulled her away from the ropes, and scooped her up onto her shoulders. It looked like she was going for a Samoan drop, but Missy started hammering elbows into the side of her head. It dazed the legend momentarily, and the Pure Champion countered into a crucifix driver that spiked  Kincaid on top of her head! Missy had both arms pinned to the mat as the referee dropped to count!

Zack: Missy’s pulling offense out of thin air, where did she find that?!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Scarlett got her arm free in time before the three, and Missy shoved her away. Both women lay on the mat now, prompting a count from the referee as the Detroit crowd seemed somewhat split between them.

Lexi: That was so close. They both look almost worn out, but someone needs to move quickly.

Missy made it to her feet, and found herself leaning against the ropes as she tried to get her wind back and block out the pain. Christian shouted some advice, though Missy’s eyes were focused on her opponent. Scarlett finally began to move when she rolled onto her stomach and was starting to push up when the Pure Champion darted towards her and connected with her curb stomp! She rolled off the cover, and headed towards the corner next.

Zack: Missy nailed the MISCHIEF MAKER….and we know what’s next!

Lexi: Yes! This is going to be it. Adam’s going to stay in Future Shock!

The brunette struggled but made it to the top rope. She set herself very quickly, and launched into her frog splash! It landed perfectly on target before Missy hooked the inside leg for a tight cover!

Zack: LI’L MISS MISCHIEF!! Thanks for coming, Cody!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! NO.

Kincaid popped her shoulder in the nick of time, a split second as the referee’s hand was coming to rest on the mat. Fisk  held up two fingers when Missy shot him a look.

Lexi: Holy…. It’s not often we see someone kick out of Li’l Miss Mischief.. At least it’s not something I remember seeing too often.

Scarlett clutched her body in pain before Missy headed back to the corner. She climbed up again, perching herself and waiting for Scarlett to get up. Kincaid finally made it to her feet, only to turn into a top rope blockbuster from Missy before she made the cover again!!

Zack: That’s gotta be all!! What more can she do if it’s not?!

ONE!!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! NO NO.

Lexi: Scarlett really is holding on to Cody’s chance at returning to FFW isn’t she?!

Once again, Scarlett barely got her shoulder up in time. Missy sat up on her knees, shaking her head as she got to her feet. The brunette pulled Scarlett up with her, but the redhead collapsed back to the mat. Missy shook her head again, and tried to lift her up to her feet into position for something. But Scarlett dropped back to the mat. When she leaned down to grab her a third time, Scarlett pulled her into a small package before the referee slid into position.

Zack: She was goldbricking!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! NO NO NO!

Missy kicked out in time, and looked even more agitated now. She pulled the redhead to her feet, and started hammering her with forearms to the side of her head. Scarlett threw her own shots back at the brunette.

Lexi: Missy is starting to get annoyed, you can tell with those forearms, but Scarlett is giving as good as she gets.

She whipped the Pure Champion across for the ride, and lowered her head as soon as Missy rebounded. But it was a half second too soon as Missy countered by pulling her into a yoshi tonic, once again driving Scarlett onto her head before she didn’t bother going for the cover. Instead, she scrambled for the corner to make her way up top again!

Lexi: Missy’s going up high again! This is going to be it, surely!

Missy wasted no time at all in launching herself into her frog splash…but this time, she kept her knees tucked to drive into Scarlett’s body on impact before she hooked the legs for the cover!

Zack: Jesus!! LI’L MISS MISCHIEF…with nothing but knees!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Fisk called for the bell before Missy rolled off the cover. She held her ribs in pain as her manager joined her in the ring. Christian helped her to her feet as the referee raised her hand in victory.

Lexi: Missy made damn sure that Scarlett wasn’t going to kick out of Li’l Miss Mischief a second time.

Kat: Your winner by pinfall………………….MISSY!!!

Adam headed down to the ring next, getting a warm reception as he headed up the steps. He joined his wife, and congratulated her before raising her hand and hugging her and sharing a kiss.

Zack: Missy pulled out a huge win over a woman who’s done it all in FFW, and in doing so has guaranteed her husband is staying right where he is as the head of Future Shock! Congratulations to Missy!

Lexi: And Congratulations to Adam who gets to stay where he belongs!

Cody entered the ring next, and attended to his wife as she got to her feet. He told her he was proud of her, and turned his attention back to Adam and Missy. He told Adam and Missy that if he could change what happened last year, he would and he was sorry once again. He offered a handshake to them both, but neither Adam nor Missy were interested as they headed out of the ring. Christian shook his head looking at his little brother as he followed them.

Zack: In one for the highlight reel, Missy ensures Cody Kincaid doesn’t get his job back and her husband doesn’t have to quit his own. Two of the best in the world right there!

Lexi: That was definitely a classic, and both women gave it their all!

As Cody watched them go and raised his wife’s hand for the crowd to show her some love as well, the show cuts to a commercial for Sin & Sacrifice in September on FFW All Access.

The Hottest Free Agent

The show returns to the arena, and the crowd is making plenty of noise of the negative variety. That’s because standing in the ring is Kyle Kilmeade, dressed as usual in an expensive suit. He rolls his eyes listening to the response as he adjusts his cufflinks for a moment and then speaks.

Kyle: Tonight, I have a very important announcement to make. And I’m going to make it whether you listen to me or not. This kind of response may be why the Lions and the Tigers suck so much. That’s just a guess though. Tonight, I have the privilege of introducing the newest addition to the FFW roster, and she happens to be a client of mine. She’s easily the hottest free agent to come through FFW’s doors in some time. Well not so much a free agent now, is she? I cannot begin to tell you how much interest there was in promotions here and abroad who wanted to bring my client to their company. But honestly, there was only one choice. There was only one place that could allow her to shine the brightest she possibly could. That’s FFW. And there was no event bigger than this one to introduce her to all of you than the 13th annual Unstoppable.

Zack: I don’t know how much longer all this verbal fellatio is going to continue, but we do have a show going here. So let’s get to the point, shall we?

Kyle: Without further ado, allow me the honor of introducing her in a car that no one here could afford…or even make.

Zack: Just keep winning over the fans here in the Motor City, Kyle.

Some boys kiss me, some boys hug me
I think they're okay
If they don't give me proper credit
I just walk away

Zack: Oh, for God’s sake…

As the booing began anew, a fire red Italian sports car drove out onto the stage. As it stopped, the door opened skyward and out stepped the “Million Dollar Baby” Cait Flanagan in a dress that matched the expensive sports car. As she approached the ramp, it changed to a red carpet design before Cait sashayed towards the ring. Thousands of million dollar bills with Cait’s picture featured on it descend from the ceiling.

They can beg and they can plead
But they can't see the light, that's right
'Cause the boy with the cold hard cash
Is always Mister Right

Kyle: Ladies and gentlemen around the world, meet the obscenely expensive sports car of women. She is my and your “Million Dollar Baby”.......CAIT FLANAGAN!!

'Cause we are living in a material world
And I am a material girl
You know that we are living in a material world
And I am a material girl

Kyle sits on the ropes for her to step into the ring with him. She looks very happy to see him, and hugs him warmly before he lets her take a twirl by holding her hand up for the crowd. When the music fades out, he even holds the microphone for her to address everyone watching.

Cait: Don’t worry Detroit, I don’t like you either. But I get paid to be here. You, on the other hand, are stuck here because you spent your life savings on tickets to Unstoppable. So really, who’s making the bad decisions here?

Kyle: Those who can, do. Those who can’t…sit in the audience and pay a lot of money to watch those who do. Surely, this isn’t a surprise to anyone. It can’t be. Name another woman with more star power and clout that’s on the free agent market in women’s wrestling. You can’t. Cait Flanagan is money. It’s not just a Twitter handle. She has it. She draws it. She is it.

Cait: Which is, of course, why I deserved a spot on the biggest show of the year. Because my sheer presence alone has made profits jump twenty percent. Name anyone else who can do that without even having a match?

Kyle: We knew Adam would never go for the deal we wanted. But we also knew we could strike a very lucrative financial deal with Samantha. Money is all that matters in this sport. There’s a major difference between Future Shock and FFW. And the biggest one is that the woman who runs FFW has forgotten more about the business than Adam has ever known. She knew there was massive value in Cait, and to be honest, this was always the first option. And now Future Shock’s loss is FFW’s gain….and the roster’s nightmare come true.

Cait: Samantha Star knows that whether or not anyone likes it, I am the future of FFW. I stomped on the entire Future Shock roster to get to the top, and I’ll be doing the same here. She knows that I deserve everything in my contract and more, so I’m getting it. It’s a lesson that I think everyone in FFW should begin learning now - that I will keep going until I get what I want. I am Unstoppable.

Cait’s music starts to play once again, causing the crowd to continue booing at a louder level. It doesn’t faze her or Kyle as the show cuts to a commercial for Sin & Sacrifice.

The show returns inside the arena where Kat Grayson awaits in the center of the ring. A lone spotlight hangs over her before she begins to speak, causing the arena to be fully illuminated once again.

Kat: This is your main event of the evening! The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish, and it is for the FFW Championship!

Zack: The richest prize in women’s wrestling is about to be on the line in our main event for Unstoppable 13. I fully suspect we’re going to see these two women leave nothing to chance, and most likely show one another a few things they haven’t seen before.

Lexi: Am I the only one weirded out by the fact this looks so similar to the main event from last year’s Unstoppable but it couldn’t be more different if it tried?

The opening bars of “You Call Me A Bitch Like It’s A Bad Thing” begin to play through the speakers around the arena and the lights on the stage go out leaving it in darkness.

You took me to your little crib
Guess it must have been a big deal
Got me starring in your wet dream
Now it's time to get real
I'm not looking for love
No not today
But you call me up and had the nerve to say
See you next Tuesday

A white spotlight hits the center of stage to see Cassandra Sheffield standing in the middle of it with her husband, Ryan Sheffield standing by her side. The crowd instantly show their disdain for the pair with a loud chorus of boos. Neither Cassandra nor Ryan seem phased at all by this and in fact seem to revel in it as Ryan pulls Cassandra in for a steamy kiss. A smirk curling on Cassandra’s lips after it breaks as she surveys the crowd.

You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing
You call me a freak like that means something
Can't get your way so you're sulking
I think we know the rest
Get it off your chest
I don't give a shit
I love it when you call me a bitch like it's a bad thing

Cassandra begins her walk down the ramp to the ring slowly with Ryan walking beside her, Cassandra surveying the crowd either side of her as she does. Still she doesn’t seem particularly bothered by the less than favorable yells from the crowd as she whispers something to her husband which makes him grin.

Kat: Making her way to the ring, from Leeds, England, and accompanied by her husband, star of stage and screen--

Ryan: And voice over artist extraordinaire, Ryan Sheffield... Please welcome the vanquisher of my ingrate of a sister, the most gorgeous woman in the world, the submissionist supreme, the most talented fighter of the modern era; the best wrestler in this building tonight - or ANY night - the one, the only.... CASSANDRA SHEFFIELD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You show up everywhere I go
Get a grip you're acting so weird
I don't need your jager bombs
I think I can take it from here
You gotta learn to leave when the party ends
I don't really care what you tell your friends
Tell me again

As she reaches the ring, Cassandra climbs the steps and takes another moment to look around at the crowd as Ryan holds the ropes open for her to enter between the middle and top ropes.

You call me a bitch like it's a bad thing
You call me a freak like that means something
Can't get your way so you're angry
I think we know the rest
Get it off your chest
I don't give a shit
I love it when you call me a bitch

Cassandra’s music comes to an end and as it fades out, she makes her way to her corner and leans back against the turnbuckles and rests one arm on the ropes beside her, as she shares some last minute words with her husband.

Zack: With her obnoxious husband at her side, Cassandra Sheffield could leave Detroit tonight with the FFW Championship. This is her first time challenging for it, and it’s also her first time in the main event of a FFW event. She doesn’t look the least bit nervous to me either.

Lexi: Cassandra doesn’t strike me as a woman who suffers from much if any apprehension about anything in her life.

The camera caught the sun rising over the Detroit skyline, painting the city in hues of red and orange, yellow and gold. There was the sound of a car engine starting, the primal growl of a thousand metal wild stallions pawing at the ground in protest at being held back, restrained; desperate to be set free. There was another growl which died down to be replaced by a radio station ident as the sun continued to inch up higher into the sky.

“The NEW 106.7 W-L-L-Z! Detroit’s Wheels. Classic Rock that Rocks!! GOOOOOOODDDDDD MOOOORRRRRNNNNIIINNNGGGG DETROIT!! You’re waking up to Big Sexy Scotty McManus and the Mighty Igor! This weekend sees the big FFW show - UNSTOPPABLE 13 - coming from fabulous Ford Fiel–”

There was a burst of static - the dial being twisted, the voice replaced by the guitar riff and the drum beat of Kiss - “Detroit Rock City” began to play through the radio as the camera settled on the Highland Park Ford Plant.

“I feel uptight on a Saturday night
Nine o'clock, the radio's the only light
I hear my song and it pulls me through
Comes on strong, tells me what I got to do, I got to”

As it did so, the camera settled on the silver silhouette of a galloping horse in full flight, mane flowing behind it for a moment before it pulled out to reveal a 2022 Ford Mustang. The paintwork was Gotham Green with a Spotlight White stripe running straight down the middle as it pulled out of the factory and out onto the streets before it roared away. The camera followed along behind, admiring the way the early morning light glinted off the bodywork before it switched to a camera that was low on the car, right next to the rolling tire for an action shot as it travelled through the deserted streets.

“Get up, everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down, everybody's gonna leave their seat
You gotta lose your mind in Detroit rock city
Get up, everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down, everybody's gonna leave their seat”

The camera pulled out as the car slowed to a stop outside the Guardian building, the imposing edifice standing over the vehicle for a moment before the Mustang sped off once more. This time it cut to an overhead shot as it weaved through the streets. Again it slowed to a stop this time the camera pulling back to show the car was parked up in front of the Spirit of Detroit statue. Again the car peeled away and the next shot saw it pass the Whale mural on the side of the Broderick Tower, before we see the car speed through Hart Plaza and underneath the giant metal fist acting as a monument to Joe Louis.

“Getting late
I just can't wait
Ten o'clock and I know I gotta hit the road
First I drink, then I smoke
Start up the car, and I try to make the midnight show”

The journey continued, flitting from aerial shots of the car, to low angle shots from just in front of the back wheel, take in the road and the side of the car as it travelled the streets. The camera moving out to show the car as it slowed to take in more of Detroits monuments - such as the Grand Army of the Republic Building before the car sped past the Masonic temple, tires screeching as it did so. Next up was the Michigan’s Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument with the Amazonian warrior queen stood atop the tallest pillar, as the car once more pulled away, the camera stayed on the monument for a couple of seconds before it finally cut away.

“Get up, everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down, everybody's gonna leave their seat
Movin' fast, doin' 95
Hit top speed but I'm still movin' much too slow
I feel so good, I'm so alive
I hear my song playin' on the radio, it goes”

This time the camera showed the sun was about to set as the shot picked up the car once more - this time as it sped out of the end of the Detroit-Windsor tunnel. Cutting to the inside of the car, the footage sped up as it moved through the still empty streets, slowing as passed Hitsville, USA - the home of Motown records and continued along the road to Detroit that had been laid out in segments on recent FFW shows. The car gliding past Comerica Park and Little Caesars Arena in one sweeping motion before, with a roar, it slid through an entrance into Ford Field, the camera following as it swept down a tunnel and into a space next to the entrance ramp. The engine gunned, letting out a roar of power as it sat there for a moment before it suddenly spun around in a donut right in front of the fans.

“Get up, everybody's gonna move their feet
Get down, everybody's gonna leave their seat
Twelve o'clock, I gotta rock
There's a truck ahead, lights starin' at my eyes
Oh my God, no time to turn
I got to laugh 'cause I know I'm gonna die, why
Get up, everybody's gonna move their feet
Get up, everybody's gonna leave their seat”

Once more it came to a stop and as it did so, the door to the car opened and Kelly Kincaid stepped out from behind the steering wheel, the FFW Championship in one hand which she raised high above her head as the crowd cheered as Airbourne’s “Blonde, Bad and Beautiful” started to play. Christian stepped out of the passenger side as Kelly high fived the fans while she rounded the car to meet her husband, kissing him before she turned her attention to the ring and took off towards the ring. On the way there she threw herself into a one handed cartwheel, following it up with a backwards somersault, landing perfectly on her feet. Spinning around she charged the ring once more, sliding underneath the bottom rope and into a forward roll, using the momentum to bring herself to her feet and leap up onto the middle rope, raising the title belt high in the air. She backflipped back into the ring and headed towards her corner, climbing the turnbuckles like a cat and raised the title belt high above her head once more, blowing kisses to the fans as she did before she sat on the top turnbuckle.

Kat: Ladies and Gentleman, from Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York, 5’5” tall, weighs 120lbs and is accompanied to the ring by Christian Kincaid. She is the Reigning, Defending, FFW Champion...Please welcome...KELLY KINCAID!!!

Kelly raised the title high into the air once more as the announcement was made, the crowd cheering her once more and as the song faded out, she dropped back down to her feet, kissing the faceplate of the title before she held it out for the referee to take.

Zack: Wow, what an entrance!  It was at Crossed Out last November that Kelly Kincaid finally captured the title she’s got in her hands right now, the FFW Championship. It was a ten year plug odyssey that finally saw her achieve that goal, and Kelly has made it clear that it’s going to take everything Cassandra has inside her to get that title off her,

Lexi: Now that Kelly finally got to realize her FFW Championship aspirations, it’s going to take a hell of a lot to get that title from her.

Referee Jennifer Stringer takes the title from Kelly and shows it to Cassandra. She then raises it over her head before Kat leaves the ring with it. The bell sounds after that, and both women take a second to look out over the massive crowd, which has quickly gotten behind the champion. None of that fazes Cassandra in the least as the pair meet in the center of the ring to lock up. Kelly’s height helps her start to push the challenger back before Sheffield pulls her down into a standing side headlock. Kelly shoves her off a couple steps, causing her to stop her progress before Sheffield turns around into a spinning elbow to the jaw that stumbles her backwards. Kincaid begins using quick jabs to her head followed by an uppercut to her body, and then uses a short running kneelift to her face to send her backwards. A beal sends Sheffield out to the center of the ring before Kelly goes to grab her as she gets up, only to be driven backwards into the corner with a shoulder tackle from the challenger.

Zack: Not a lot of damage done there, but certainly they were feeling each other out. These two have only met once before in the ring, and that was some time back.

Lexi: A lot can change in a few weeks in this industry, so I’m sure neither of them is going to use their last meeting as any kind of marker for how tonight’s match is going to go.

Cassandra wouldn’t let Kelly out of the corner as she drove more shoulder thrusts into her body, trying to knock the wind out of her. She managed to get four before Kelly started using her elbows to Sheffield’s back to make her stop. It kept the Brit at bay for a second, and Kelly snatched her arms behind her and spun around for a butterfly suplex. The challenger started to get up again, but found herself trapped in a gator roll as Kelly started rolling her in all directions around the ring.

Zack: That gator roll you’re seeing right now is designed to wear an opponent down and sap some of the energy they have. Not a bad idea this early into a match.

Lexi: Sapping the challenger's energy is definitely a smart move by the Champion. If she can wear her down early enough, she could be racking up her second defense sooner than later.

Kincaid finally pulled her to her feet, still in the front facelock before Cassandra drove her back into the corner again. The champion released the hold, and Cassandra rose up to strike quickly with a palm thrust to her throat. It caused the blonde to start coughing and choking before she was yanked out of the corner so Cassandra could hop onto the second turnbuckle from the inside. When Kelly spun around to face her, Cassandra came off the middle rope with a meteora to her chest that grounded the champion quickly. Sheffield hooked the leg behind her for the cover.

Zack: Just a little bit high risk, unlike we usually see from Cassandra! I told you we may see some new wrinkles!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Kelly shoved Cassandra off her before the two could hit the mat. The champion quickly tried to get to her feet before the challenger grabbed her head for a corner bulldog. Kincaid collapsed to her knees in the corner and Cassandra pulled her quickly to deliver a side Russian leg sweep.

Lexi: I wonder if Cassandra’s husband has possibly been teaching her a few new moves to add to her arsenal too.

Kelly grabbed the back of her neck and head on impact, and Cassandra seized on the situation by immediately applying a crossface submission. Ryan watched from the far corner, praising his wife as she started to crank backwards on Kelly’s neck. Meanwhile, in a closer corner, Christian was telling his wife how far the nearest rope was and where to stretch to reach it.

Zack: This is one of Cassandra’s favorite holds, the crossface. Usually opponents go after Kelly’s legs, but all of Cassandra’s pet moves target this exact spot.

Lexi: It’s also one of her sister’s favorite holds isn’t it? That might be a little bit of deja vu for Kelly after her matches with Missy last year.

Sheffield leaned back, still trying to get a deeper grasp of the hold. Kelly tried to break the challenger’s grip with her hand, but wasn’t having much success until she managed to kick one foot across the bottom rope behind her. The challenger kept the hold in till the four count, and broke it with an elbow to the top of Kelly’s head. She got back to her feet, and grabbed her arm to drag her to the center of the ring. It looked like she was going to go for the crossface again, but Kelly scrambled to her feet as she was getting dragged.

Zack: I think Cassandra was going to try it again with better ring positioning, but the champion said ‘no thank you’ to that!

Lexi: And you cannot blame Kelly in the slightest for that, can you? I know I wouldn’t want to be in that position any longer than I had to be.

When the challenger tried to yank her back down to the mat, Kelly broke free of her grip and surprised her with a knife edge chop to the chest. That froze the brunette up for a second before Kelly unloaded with three more to the same spot. Sheffield clutched her chest in pain before Kincaid rebounded off the ropes behind her, leaving her feet for a leg lariat to the back of her head. The Brit stumbled forward and fell to a knee, giving the champion the opening she needed to bounce off the near side for a running knee trembler to the temple that collapsed Cassandra to the mat. One of Kelly’s hands grabbed the back of her neck for a moment before she left her feet again for a standing phoenix splash into the cover.

Zack: There’s the speed and agility Kelly’s known for coming into play, and she’s ready to end it right now!

ONE!!

TW-NO.

Lexi: I didn’t think it would be that easy for Kelly to put Cassandra down, no matter how much we all might have hoped it would be.

Cassandra kicked out before the two landed on the mat, and Kelly quickly got back to her feet. She pulled the challenger up with her into a flurry of knees to the head and body before she fired her across to the far corner. Kelly followed her in with a handspring back elbow to the jaw. It sent Sheffield stumbling forward before Kelly rebounded off the near side with a jumping DDT. She followed that with a quick cover and a leg hook.

Zack: Kelly got some hangtime before landing that DDT, and it’s clear to me that the champion is looking for that one knockout shot to end Cassandra’s night!

ONE!!

TWO!

Lexi: Oooh, only a two, but if Kelly keeps this up she’s going to wear Cassandra down.

Again, Cassandra kicked out and Kelly headed immediately for the corner. The blonde scaled it quickly facing the crowd, and glanced between her legs before she went for a moonsault….that crashed into the mat when Cassandra rolled towards the ropes.

Lexi: Cassandra saved herself there and Kelly got the full impact of crashing to the mat!

The challenger wasted no time in scrambling towards her, and raining forearms across the back of her head and neck. Ryan encouraged his wife as she dragged Kelly towards the center of the ring, and pulled her to her feet. Sheffield scooped her onto her shoulders for an electric chair, spiking Kelly onto the mat. The Brit took a second to collect herself after everything she had endured to this point, and applied a camel clutch after that.

Zack: Cassandra jumped all over that opening as quickly as she could, and that’s one thing I always mention about people wasting time in matches. She hasn’t done it at all, nor should she in a match of this magnitude.

Lexi: Keeping Kelly grounded is probably Cassandra’s best hope of managing to pull this out of the bag to be honest.

Stringer moved around in front of Kelly, asking her if she wanted to stop the match. The champion didn’t want that at all, and Cassandra wrenched back a little further in the hold when she refused to quit. The referee checked again, still getting the same answer. Ryan shouted to his wife to pull back even more, and that’s when the #1 contender bridged backwards to where her head was on the mat and Kelly’s body was bent into a C shape.

Zack: For the love of…. Look at Kelly’s body! She may have been an acrobat in the past, but she wasn’t a contortionist! That’s gotta be excruciating!

Lexi: That has got to hurt! I’m not sure how long Kelly will last in that position.

The look of concern on Kelly’s husband’s face was evident now as he darted around to the side of the ring closest to where his wife was. He began shouting possible ways to get out of the hold, but it wasn’t clear if Kelly heard him. The FFW Champion tried pulling at Sheffield’s fingers under her chin to break her grip, but she wasn’t having any success with that. She tried stretching her arm towards the ropes, but it wasn’t close enough to reach where she was. Finally, she pushed Cassandra’s index finger between her lips and bit down on it! The Brit shouted in pain quickly, and broke her grip. She got to her feet, holding her hand to her body as Kelly rolled under the bottom rope to the outside.

Zack: I’ll give Kelly credit for trying every other way she could to get some relief. Finally, a shark bite on one of Cassandra’s digits got her the break.

Lexi: I’m surprised she didn’t draw blood with that bite! I thought she was going to take the whole finger off!

The challenger looked irritated now, and rolled out of the ring to go after her. Kelly barely had time to sit up where she was laying before Sheffield grabbed her legs under both arms. The brunette used part of a giant swing to send her crashing into the barricade. Next she used a catapult to send Kelly crashing onto the top of the stairs, causing a loud crashing noise before Kelly slumped back to the floor.

Zack: You can tell the #1 contender has a vicious streak, if you didn’t already know. She’s introducing Kelly to all the furniture at ringside now.

Lexi: I think this might serve as a warning to future opponents not to bite Cassandra, what do you think?

Kelly started to move again, getting to all fours as she rested her head against the second step for a moment. Cassandra hopped up onto the apron, a scowl on her face before she darted down to deliver a curb stomp to Kelly’s head that crushed it against the steps before the blonde crumpled to the floor unmoving.

Zack: There’s that curb stomp her sister has made a trademark! And she may have knocked Kelly out cold here!

Lexi: Holy shit! That was horrendous to watch so I can only imagine how bad that’s gonna feel for Kelly.

Sheffield noticed where the referee’s count was before she rolled in and back out of the ring. Cassandra grabbed one of Kelly’s feet and dragged her body away from the steps. She leaned down to scoop her up, but Kelly looked to be dead weight. She finally got her onto the apron, and pushed her back into the ring. Kelly’s entire body was motionless as Cassandra climbed up onto the apron. She had a devilish look on her face as she looked down at the lifeless Kelly.

Zack: She’s out. Kelly’s colder than a mackerel in the ring, and Cassandra should go ahead and cover her right now!

Lexi: Cassandra is supposed to be a smart woman so you’d think she’d be rushing to make the cover, wouldn’t you?

The challenger stepped back into the ring, and headed towards her opponent. Ryan told her she had the title won, and Cassandra dropped to her knees to make the cover before Stringer fell into position.

Zack: That’s gonna do it! We’re gonna crown a new FFW Champion in 3 seconds!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Wait! Kelly’s shoulder popped up off the mat, and fell right back down again. Stringer held up two fingers as Cassandra stared a hole through her practically. The challenger got back to her feet, and pulled Kelly up with her. She hoisted the champion upside down into a piledriver.

Lexi: That had to be pure reflex on Kelly’s part, surely?!

Sheffield headed to the corner again, once more hopping up onto the second turnbuckle from the inside. She took a seat on the top turnbuckle as she waited for Kelly to get up again. But the champion wasn’t quick at all to do that. She finally rolled to her hands and knees before Sheffield went for her sister’s curb stomp again….only for Kelly to roll towards her and cause the brunette to land awkwardly on the mat. And when she turned around, Kelly hoisted her onto her shoulders for a GTS that sent them both to the mat!

Zack: Kelly with a massively important GTS to Cassandra! If she had it in her and could make the cover, I think she’d leave Detroit with the FFW Championship!

Lexi: That was some save from Kelly there, if Cassandra had hit that curb stomp I’d think we’d be announcing a new Champion right now.

The champion was still feeling the pain in her neck and head as she crawled towards the ropes to use them to help her get up to her feet. By the time she was vertical again, Cassandra was starting to get up as well. The challenger turned just as Kelly unleashed a barrage of kicks to her body: a back heel kick, spinning heel kick, a leg lariat to the chest. All of them sent Cassandra staggering backwards before Kelly charged her with a bicycle kick to the chest that finally put her down. The blonde leaned against the ropes, once more holding the back of her neck until she saw the challenger beginning to get up again.

Zack: Kelly really knows how to use those feet of hers, she fires those shots with everything she can put behind them. And Cassandra’s reeling now!

Lexi: Kelly’s getting her second wind by the looks of things and Cassandra could be in a lot of trouble now.

But it was a running shotgun dropkick that sent Cassandra into a 180 across the middle rope. Kelly took off for the far side, and came back with a running tiger feint kick (619) that landed perfectly on target and sent Sheffield collapsing back to the mat. Kincaid dove on top of her with both legs hooked this time.

Zack: Kelly’s digging down deep, and that shot came all the way from Portland! Is that gonna seal Cassandra’s fate?!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Hold on! The challenger got her arm up in time before the three came down, and Kelly rolled off the cover. It was obvious how much her neck was hurting as she got back to her feet, evidenced by the expression on her face.

Lexi: Seriously, are these two running on batteries tonight?! How are they managing to kick out like this!

Kincaid headed for the nearest corner to make her way to the top rope. She didn’t move all that quickly though. By the time she made it, Cassandra rushed the ropes and caused her to land straddling the top turnbuckle facing the crowd. Sheffield took a moment to gather herself as Ryan shouted at her to finish her off. The #1 contender climbed up behind her, and snapped off a German suplex to send Kelly head and back first onto the canvas.

Zack: Big time impact to an already damaged neck for Kelly, and Cassandra seems to be getting more and more comfortable climbing the corners tonight. That’s not something we see out of her too often.

Lexi: Cassandra has clearly learnt some new moves, and they could be leading her straight into a FFW Championship reign.

Sheffield used the ropes to get back to her feet, and showed a vicious look on her face as she waved for Kelly to get up again. Ryan shouted at her to finish her off, which seemed to be exactly what the challenger had in mind. Kelly finally got to her feet as Cassandra swooped in to apply her cobra clutch into a driver. But as soon as she felt it coming, Kelly dove for the ropes and lowered her head to let the top rope catch the brunette in the chest. It sent the Brit staggering backwards before Kelly grabbed her head into her headlock driver and made the cover!!

Zack: She hit it!! That’s CLIPPED WINGS!! Kelly’s gonna retain the title!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!! No.

Cassandra got her shoulder up in time just as the three was about to land, and Kelly rolled off the cover. With one hand pressed to the back of her head, she double checked it wasn’t three before struggling back to her feet.

Lexi: Holy —! Cassandra is still in this. Kelly must be asking herself what it’s going to take to keep her down.

Kelly pushed herself forward as she saw Cassandra starting to get up again. She grabbed her head to go for the finisher a second time, but Sheffield countered out by slipping behind her and scooping her up into a wheelbarrow facebuster. With Kelly face down on the mat, Cassandra slumped forward in a seat for a couple seconds before getting back to her feet again.

Zack: There cannot be much left in the tank for either of these women. They have gone at each other full tilt, all for the sake of being able to call yourself the FFW Champion!

Sheffield got back to her feet a couple seconds before Kelly did, but kept her doubled over with clubbing ax handle blows to her upper back and neck. They finally drove the blonde back to her knees before Sheffield pulled her head into position for her cradle DDT before floating across her for the cover.

Zack: Cassandra with some INSIDER TRADING, and that may be enough to send the FFW Championship to Leeds on the first flight out of Detroit!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-NO.

Kelly’s shoulder came off the mat in the nick of time, and Cassandra’s face was practically venomous now as she got to her feet. She fixed Stringer with a look of scorn before she headed to the corner once more.

Lexi: No! Kelly is determined not to let go of the title she worked so long and so hard to win!

Kelly struggled to get back to her feet, still with one hand pressed behind her neck. Cassandra tried to grab her from where she was sitting, but Kelly surprised her with a Pele kick to the top of her head. It sent Sheffield doubled over the corner where she sat as Kelly hooked her arms and snapped her off the top rope with a….

Zack: Vertebreaker!! I haven’t seen one of those in ages!!

Kelly dragged her out of the corner to make the cover with both legs hooked.

Zack: I’ve never seen anyone kick out of that, and I don’t think Cassandra will either!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!

Stringer called for the bell to the delight of the Detroit crowd. Kelly rolled off her challenger towards the ropes before Christian joined her in the ring to check on her and help her to her feet.

Kat: Your winner by pinfall…………AND STIIILL FFW Champion………..KELLY KINCAID!!

Lexi: She did it! In a complete reversal from last year, Kelly has retained the FFW Championship on the biggest night of the year!

The referee handed Kelly her title, and then raised her hand in victory. The blonde was still getting her breath back, inhaling deeply before she raised it above her head as Christian raised the other hand.

Zack: I’ve never seen Kelly use a vertebreaker that I can recall, but she did what she had to do when Clipped Wings didn’t get the job done! And she’s gonna fly  home to Portland with the FFW Championship!

Lexi: She has to be feeling about seventy different shades of amazing right now, even after all the damage she took.

Kelly stepped up onto the bottom and middle ropes as she raised her retained title over her head for the fans. Hearing their response put a little bit of a smile on her face through all the fatigue.

Lexi: Kelly’s got her Unstoppable moment, and you just know that’s going to be one that stays with her for a good long while!

Zack: That’s gonna do it for us here in Detroit! Thank you for joining us for one of the most historic nights in FFW history! Tonight, Kelly Kincaid proved she’s just like FFW itself….UNSTOPPABLE!!

The tired but smiling face of the still reigning FFW Champion was shown on a close up before kissing her title as it laid across her shoulder. That’s when Unstoppable 13 faded off the air.
