Live from the Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan
January 31, 2023

The opening beat of Fort Minor’s “Remember The Name (Future Shock Remix) starts to play as the camera steps through the curtain to see Lexi standing in the ring surrounded by a massive crowd.

You ready? Let's go!
Yeah!
For those of you that wanna know what we're all about
It's like this, y'all, c'mon!

The camera spins around to see Sydney Christensen stepping out onto the stage, and thrusting her hand into the air. Highlights from her winning the Future Shock Championship play. The shot then goes through the gorilla position and through the hallways. It passes between both halves of Target Acquired when Alessandra and Nadia pass on either side, and we see both women becoming the Future Shock Tag Team Champions. Latina Heat are shown at ringside, offering to sign autographs though they aren’t getting many takers before we see highlights of their recent antics.

This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name

Ashley Marie Chase is checking herself out in the mirror, and quickly takes a selfie. The next thing we see is a boot on the edge of a table before we see it belongs to Angelina Fantastica as she’s lacing it up. She bumps fists with Arabella just before the Brit kisses her boyfriend, Jake, and heads out of the locker room and puts on their jackets. Angelina’s Future Shock Cup and Nova title win is highlighted, as well as Arabella’s recent dominating moments in matches.

She feels so unlike everybody else, alone
In spite of the fact that some people still think that they know her
But eff 'em, she knows the code, it's not about the salary
It's all about reality and making some noise

Three fists are shown touching one another before we find they belong to the Matriarchy before they head out of the room. Highlights from all three of their recent matches are shown, and then we cut back to find Fiona checking herself out in a mirror with Kyle standing behind her. She looks back to him with a smile, and then we see some of her shenanigans follow.

This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill
Fifteen percent concentrated power of will
Five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain
And a hundred percent reason to remember the name

A pair of hands starts tying up brown hair. The hands are gloved, and as soon as the woman turns around, we see it’s Missy who pushes the camera away before it spins around into a live shot inside the arena with a thunderous crowd!

Lexi: Welcome to FUTURE SHOCK!!

The response gets louder before the show heads down to ringside, and finds Zack Hudson and Claire Black standing by.

Zack: Welcome back to the home city for last year’s Unstoppable! We are live in the Motor City of Detroit, Michigan at the Little Caesars Arena for the last stop before our Heartbreakers event February 14th on FFW All Access. You’re watching Future Shock’s 127th episode since the reboot. I’m Zack and this is Claire, thank you for joining us.

Claire: Good evening to the Future Shock Faithful. Tonight promises to be a big night with debuts and Global War points and we’ll finally get the big reveal of the Princess as she comes to reclaim the wardrobe she’s been sending us in installments. Like the worst form of catalogue shopping.

Zack: That’s an excellent way to describe it. I’m also being told we’ve already got an unexpected guest arriving at the arena. We’re gonna send a camera to find out who that might be.

Claire: Something big always seems to happen when we get unexpected guests. I’m assure that tonight won’t be any different. I’m looking forward to finding out who it is.

Zack:  Tonight, it’s just like Claire said. Lots of Global Wars points on the line and what I believe Jake described as a trial by fire for the debuting Constance McCullough who faces Kristina Spencer in her Future Shock debut. Constance may be happy about how well her Chiefs are doing, but I have a feeling it’s going to be a long night at the office for her.

Claire: Kristina certainly provides a whole set of problems for everyone she faces, rarely shows mercy either. Constance is up against it tonight, but she is something of an unknown quantity herself. For all we know she might be able to match and out fight Kristina. I think we’ll certainly find out a lot about the debutante tonight.

We see a glimpse of the parking lot for a moment before we see why the camera is out there. A horse drawn carriage sits in the talent parking lot as the driver of the carriage is feeding a horse.

Zack: I’ve seen cars and limos pull to arenas, but…that’s new. I’m told that was how the Princess of Future Shock arrived at the arena tonight. I bet the driver got all kinds of gestures as that horse trotted the streets of Detroit to get here.

Claire: It certainly takes guts to come to the motor city in a horse and cart. Still, I guess that’s like the original horsepower right?

The show then cuts back to the broadcast team inside the much warmer arena.

Zack: At least it’s not her laundry this time. Anyway, we’re also gonna see Global Wars points for up grabs when Aviva Miller looks to get on the board for Israel when she meets Allison Sullivan, a third of the Motor City Maidens with a penchant for dancing.

Claire: I’m sure as soon as she found out that we were coming here she was petitioning management to make sure she was on this card. She has a huge challenge in front of her in the form of Aviva who came within a hair’s breadth of beating Sydney Christensen last time out. Miller’s got a bright future ahead of her.

Zack: And if one Maiden wasn’t enough for the show, the ringleader of the group is in action too. We heard about this on our last broadcast. Fiona O’Dalaigh will look to put Northern Ireland on the leaderboard when she meets Canada’s Sydney Christensen. I think Fiona’s in big trouble, and Sydney could put Canada ahead of everyone even further than she already is.

Claire: Sydney’s in excellent form right now. Fiona has a big task ahead of her to get Northern Ireland off to a flying start in the Global Wars series…but with who she has in her corner, with the umbrella, with her two minions probably not far away…there’s every chance that she could do just that. If Sydney can pick up the win tonight though, she can put a lot of scoreboard pressure on Harker and the pre-tournament favorite Missy before they even kick off their time in the competition.

Zack: Major news broke at the end of our last show, Claire. Future Shock will be getting its own Hall of Fame, and we’re gonna find out more details about that on tonight’s show. And even better, it’s gonna be housed at the Future Shock Arena where fans will be able to visit and tour all the exhibits.

Claire: A lot of people have been clamoring for this for a while and there’s a lot of Future Shock history that could be shown off in that wing of the Arena. And a lot of successful wrestlers that have moved through Future Shock - from Raven Wicked winning the first season, through Mel Avilo and Desirae Kain, Gabrielle Crimson and Caroline Dallins, Mallory Bennett and Anna Giovanna, Isis and Riley Riot to Missy and Shaw and Arabella and Jacqui and Angelina and Aviva. I’m sure it’ll be a really popular addition to the Arena and the fan experience.

Zack: Our Twitter fans already saw one of the historic pieces that will be included: the dirtbike Ruby Tyler used during her match with Charlotte last November. I’m sure you remember that well, no one better than the Anarchy Champion though.

Claire: I think when you get almost set on fire and almost run over by a dirtbike, it lives with you. Perhaps you might not have a physical scar, but mentally? Yeah, I’m sure Charlotte probably still gets a shudder down her spine any time she hears a dirtbike engine rev up.

Zack: I think tonight is shaping up to be very newsworthy with plenty of action too, so let’s send it up to Lexi to get the show underway.

The camera switches to the blonde bombshell in the ring wearing a dress with the same colors as the Detroit Lions. Both it and she get a very loud reception before she starts to speak.

Lexi: The opening contest of Future Shock is scheduled for one fall to a finish with a 20 minute time limit.

"Anti-Hero" by Taylor Swift begins to play as red and white lights flash around the entrance area, a momentary wait until a tall, lean blonde emerges through the curtain. She's all smiles as she raises her arms to wave at the crowd before her, almost skipping towards the ring.

Lexi: From Gladstone, Missouri, she is Constance...McCullough!!!

Constance reaches the ring and climbs onto her knees on the apron, rolling under the bottom rope into the splits, arms raised once more and her mouth wide open in glee. She quickly rolls and tucks her legs to the side, standing up ready for the match to begin.

Zack: We got to meet Constance on our last show, but she’s still something of an unknown quantity for us in the ring. That may work to her advantage against her first few opponents, Claire. I chatted with her briefly earlier today, and she told me about her dance major and her fandom for the NFL’s Kansas City Chiefs.

Claire: Her love of the NFL is something that she shares with many wrestlers including our FFW Champion and we’ve seen a lot of people with diverse athletic backgrounds experience an awful lot of success here in FFW. Her dance background will bring something different to the way she approaches things in the rings and that might prove to be an advantage going forward.

The arena goes dark and we start hearing Gregorian Chants that appear to be in Latin. Finally “Darkness” by Jim Johnston begins to play and a Druid walks out with a lit torch and when he touches it to the ground an aisle way of fire lights up to the ring. At last The Shadow Priest emerges from the darkness followed closely by an emotionless Kristina Spencer with her barbed wire bat on her shoulder. Following behind her is Sister Abigail who is splashing holy water on the fans while smirking.

Lexi: Coming down the aisle accompanied by The ShadowPriest and Sister Abigail hailing from Los Angeles, California. She is “The Empress of Darkness” Kristina Spencer!!!!!!

The three of them slowly walk around the ring with Sister Abigail splashes the holy water onto the announcers and tells them they should repent for their sins. The Shadow Priest enters the ring followed by Kristina and finally Sister Abigail who then tells the referee he better not sin during the match or else suffer for them.

The lights finally come back on and then The Shadow Priest gives Kristina some last minute instructions and then takes her Barbed Wire bat from her and hands it to Sister Abigail who leaves the ring. After some more instructions Kristina gets a wicked looking smile on her face as she stares at the referee waiting for him to start the match.

Zack: Unlike Constance, we know a great deal of what we can expect from this woman. And that’s anything and everything. Kristina Spencer is one of the most violent women we’ve come across, and competes like a wild animal in the ring. Ask Ruby Tyler, who she bit repeatedly in their last match together.

Claire: Kristina will certainly do anything and everything that the referee will let her get away with in the ring. You know she has her eyes on Charlotte and the Anarchy Championship and a win tonight could certainly see her get a lot of momentum towards that.

Referee Stephen Wilson called for the bell to start the match as a troubling smile began to form on Kristina’s face. It was a little unnerving as she stared at the newcomer before Constance headed out of the corner. She put her hands up into a fighting stance before Kristina moved towards her slowly. McCullough kept her eyes locked on the veteran…just before Kristina let out a shriek and charged towards her! Constance sidestepped her and used a standing dropkick to her back to propel her into the corner. And before Spencer could turn around, Constance landed another dropkick to her back to send her into the corner a second time and then hooked her arms to fall forward into a backslide pin attempt!

Zack: Constance has done some research, look at this!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Kristina kicked out a second after the one count, and rolled back to her feet. But McCullough didn’t give her long after that before a running shoulder tackle to the body sent her into the next nearest corner, driving the wind out of Kristina as a result.

Claire: This is the right strategy from Constance tonight. She’s looking to keep Spencer on the back foot and stop her from gaining any momentum.

Three more quick shoulder thrusts to the abdomen winded the veteran before Constance used a backflip out of the corner. She landed on her feet like a cat as Spencer went to grab her, only for the newcomer to surprise her with a jawbreaker that staggered her back to the corner again. Constance hopped to her feet and then left them for a flying headscissors out of the corner that snapped Spencer to the mat.

Zack: There’s some of those dance moves with that backflip, and Constance isn’t giving Spencer a second, like you said. I think her being an unknown quantity is biting Kristina big time. She didn’t know what to expect.

Claire: She’s learning along with the rest of us what McCullough is capable of and so far she’s struggling to adjust on the fly and find something that works.

Kristina got to her feet and went to grab McCullough with a swipe. But the dance major cartwheeled onto one hand and held herself up on it. When Spencer went to grab her, she instead caught two boots to the chest that sent her backwards. McCullough finished the cartwheel back to her feet and sent Kristina backwards with a yakuza kick to Spencer’s chest that sent her into the ropes before smiling and waving her forward. And it was clear that she had already begun getting a fair amount of crowd support.

Claire: We’re seeing Constance use all of those dance skills that she’s got at her disposal and Kristina simply doesn’t know where the next shot is coming from! This is a hugely impressive debut thus far.

Zack: She’s showing us what’s in her toolbox, and I think she’s getting some fans as a result. She’s telling her to bring it!

Kristina snarled as she charged towards her, only to get caught by a drop toe hold before Constance snatched her into a side headlock. She pulled her up in it, snapped her back over to the mat, pulled her back up in it again and snapped her back to the mat. Spencer got pulled up again, and this time, she was driven into the nearest turnbuckle with a corner bulldog that dropped her to her knees. Spencer landed on her knees in the corner before McCullough left her feet, used Kristina’s back for a springboard to land back on her feet a couple feet behind her. Hearing the crowd support was making her smile wider.

Claire: The crowd are definitely solidly behind the debuting Constance, but she can’t afford to let this reaction go to her head - not until she’s actually won the match anyway.

Zack: We may need to start scouting more of the girls from Missouri at this rate. Constance has incredible agility and speed.

The camera noticed that the Anarchy Champion was standing at the top of the ramp. Charlotte had her title over her shoulder in her street clothes as she watched. Meanwhile, Constance pulled Spencer back to her feet. She fired her into the far corner, and followed her in with a running European uppercut before using a t-bone suplex to send her out of the corner and the cover followed that!

Zack: There’s Charlotte doing a little scouting, but I’m not sure she’s gonna be trying to copy Constance’s moves here! We got a cover!

ONE!!

T-NO!

Again, Kristina kicked out before the two landed. She quickly shoved Constance away from her, and caught her coming towards her with a thumb to the eye to finally stop her. Spencer used a Thesz press to drop her to the canvas, but instead of punches, she bounced the back of her head off the canvas repeatedly.

Claire: That’s certainly one way to stop her in her tracks and this might be of more interest to Charlotte right now - seeing what she might have to deal with when…if…she has Kristina in trouble.

Wilson admonished her for what she was doing, and Kristina stopped before leaning down to bite into her face over her eye. The official got even more angry before Kristina let go, sitting up on her knees before grabbing a few strands of hair to rip from Constance’s head. Then a two handed choke followed that before she let go at the four count. Spencer got back to her feet, and profusely stomped her body and followed up with a knee drop aimed at her head.

Zack: Kristina is never short of viciousness, is she? Charlotte’s getting a firsthand account of what’s awaiting her at Heartbreakers. We’ll find out what kind of match they’ll have tonight, and that’s gonna mark a marathon of matches for the Anarchy Champion in Global Wars.

Claire: She’s yet to have her first contest and Global Wars will approach quickly after Heartbreakers. She’s going to have to really run the gauntlet and pray Kristina doesn’t put her on the shelf in two weeks time.

Spencer pulled Constance up with two handfuls of hair before flinging her across the ring with a hair mare. The debutant was beginning to get to her hands and knees before Kristina charged her, delivering a running punt to her body. It lifted her slightly off the mat before the #1 contender snatched her around the waist into a gutwrench suplex. Still though, Constance tried to get back to her feet and got her arms trapped behind her. That’s when Kristina showed some power and lifted her into a powerbomb before making the cover.

Zack: Kristina’s just looking to maul and punish, and she’s ready to head to Heartbreakers!

ONE!!

TWO!

Constance got her shoulder up in time, and Kristina readjusted by sitting on the mat and pulling her head and arm between her legs for a seated triangle choke. Charlotte remained vigilant on the stage, looking like she was making mental notes as she spoke to herself.

Claire: Spencer’s showing us that she’s capable of more than just inflicting brutal punishment on an opponent. This triangle choke can put anyone out in short order as we might be about to see.

The referee checked to see if Constance wanted to stop the match, but the newcomer showed no signs of that. But it was clear she had a sense of urgency as she tried to break the hold with her free arm. But Kristina’s grip was too tight, which caused Constance to start kicking her feet. It looked like she was trying to stretch but finally got her foot across the bottom rope. The referee demanded a break, but he didn’t get it till he made it to a four count and was about to call for the bell.

Zack: Maybe that’s the key to getting past Charlotte in two weeks. She’s proven it’s a massive effort to pin her or make her quit. Maybe the key for Kristina is to choke her out.

Claire: It could be. Charlotte’s been something of a monster since she claimed the Anarchy Championship. Putting her out for the count might be the best chance Kristina has.

Kristina got back to her feet, and that was when she spotted the Anarchy Champion standing on the stage. Charlotte locked eyes with her next challenger as Spencer encouraged her to come join the fun. That only got an eye roll from the champion, while Spencer’s entourage was pounding the mat to get her attention because Constance was starting to get up again. Spencer turned towards her team at ringside…but she didn’t get much chance to hear what they were saying before Constance ducked her head between her legs and scooped her up for an electric chair.

Claire: This is what happens when you take your eyes off your opponent - they make you pay for it. We’ll see just how costly that error could be for Kristina.

Zack: You’re not kidding. She’ll get all of Charlotte she wants two weeks from tonight, but she’s underestimating Constance here…with no good reason to do so.

Both women lay on the mat briefly before the debuting talent started to sit up. Constance quickly took stock of the situation, and pulled Kristina back to her feet. She fired her into the ropes before dropping down into position as if she were a linebacker……and exploded off her feet with a spear that folded Kristina up before she went for the cover!

Zack: Straight outta the Chiefs’ defensive line….that might do it! Huge upset if she does!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NOOO!!

The referee waved it off as Kristina got her shoulder up in time, causing Constance to get back to her feet. She backed up a few steps, and adjusted her knee pad before waving the veteran back to her feet.

Claire: Huge impact from the spear but it wasn’t quite enough against a woman as resilient as Kristina. Whatever she has planned now, though, might be enough to put the Anarchy contender away!

Constance was growing more animated as she bounced on her feet waiting for Kristina to get up again. When Spencer started to do just that, McCullough bolted towards her with her running knee to the jaw….but Kristina dodged out of the way. Constance stopped herself, and turned around into a heart punch from Kristina that dropped her where she stood before she made the cover!

Zack: FINAL JUDGMENT!! One shot, Claire! It took one shot!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Wilson called for the bell as Kristina sat up on her knees, pulling herself together before the same eerie smile began to form on her face as she got to her feet.

Claire: One shot. Straight to the chest and it dropped Constance like a stone tonight. That’s something that Charlotte is going to have to be on guard against when she defends her title in two weeks.

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall…………..KRISTINA SPENCER!!!

Kristina’s entourage joined her in the ring after she kicked Constance out of it, both of them raising her hand to nothing but disdain from the Detroit crowd.

Zack: That heart punch turned this match around in one shot, that’s incredible! Charlotte definitely will want to make sure she doesn’t feel it at Heartbreakers! Kristina wins, but I’ll give Constance a whole lot of credit because she impressed a lot of people tonight, I’m sure. Myself included.

Claire: Hugely impressive debut tonight. Against one of the toughest, most dangerous women in the company, she came within a hair’s breadth of defeating her. But Spencer showed off that vicious streak and then that final shot at the end…she showed just why she’s the number 1 contender to the Anarchy Championship.

Kristina raised that gloved hand she used to end the match over her head as she looked towards Charlotte on the stage. The Anarchy Champion told her she’d never land it against her.

Zack: We’re gonna hear from the champ before we leave the air tonight, and she just let Kristina know that she’d never land that punch on her. Easier said than done, because Constance certainly didn’t see it coming.

Claire: You’re right about that and I’m not sure there’s much that Harker can do if Kristina does get even half an opening to deliver that punch. That might well be the move that wins Spencer the Anarchy Championship.

The champion headed to the back again as Kristina got her hands raised again by Abigail and the Shadow Priest before the show went to a commercial for Heartbreakers in two weeks on FFW All Access.

Charlotte’s Rogues Gallery

The show returns from the commercial break after the first match on the show, and there we find Sara with the reigning Anarchy Champion once again: Charlotte Harker with her title over her should.

Sara: Right before the break, we saw my guest at this time getting a closer look at her opponent for Heartbreakers two weeks from tonight challenging for her title: Kristina Spencer. Charlotte, did you see anything new watching that match that you hadn’t seen out of the #1 contender before now?

The former Anarchy Champion gave the interviewer a one shouldered shrug.

Charlotte: A couple of things. And what I saw reinforced some of what I’ve already seen from Kristina and from the tape I’ve watched. It’s all just about making sure that I’m as ready as I keep for Heartbreakers in two weeks time so that I can rack up another defence and start my Global Wars campaign in the best possible way.

Sara: Fair enough. In two weeks, you’ll defend that title against her at Heartbreakers. And we know that will be the first of four matches back to back over the next couple months in Global Wars. And I’ll get back to that part in a second. We now know what kind of match it’s going to be at Heartbreakers. It’ll be the same kind of match that crowned the first Anarchy Champion: Cuffed in the Cage. A match you are familiar with because you were in that.

Charlotte: A chance to redeem myself maybe? To put right that I gotta beaten in that contest and missed the chance to be the first ever Anarchy Champion. I’m looking forwards to it. I’m looking forward to facing one of the tougher, harder hitting and more dangerous women in the business in an environment where she can get away with almost anything in order to try and cuff me to the cage. I’m sure the fans are all looking forward to seeing it unfold right in front of their eyes too…and it’ll be something of a relief to know I probably won’t get run over this time out.

Sara: As I said, Kristina will be the first of four opponents in a row for the next four shows that will be part of Global Wars. And I happen to have gotten the list of your next three opponents, so I thought we might go through them and get your thoughts. With your title defense starting it off, I think you may have the most grueling GLobal Wars series of anyone who’s been in it before now. Ready to hear the rogues gallery?

There was a nod of the head from the Champion.

Charlotte: Sure thing, let’s hear who follows Kristina and might be hoping that she softens me up and they can try to take advantage and cost me some points.

Sara: Your first opponent on the Future Shock after Heartbreakers is a fellow Global Wars competitor we are going to see in tonight’s main event: Northern Ireland’s Fiona O’Dalaigh.

Charlotte: Okay. I know that she has talent and I know first hand just how well prepared Kyle gets his clients for their matches - I’m sure he’s dead set on doing all that he can to get her in the best position possible for the Finals. And of course, I can’t forget about the umbrella…though I suggest that she does. I suggest that when her and I face, she leaves it in the back. I mean c’mon Sara, given everything that I’ve done in the last eighteen months, it wouldn’t be the smartest thing in the world for her to try and club me down with it. Or shoot sparks into my eyes. Not if she wants to be able to walk out to the ring for the series Final.

Sara: Your next opponent is a woman who has been showing off a lot of submission skills in her recent matches and couldn’t be any more different of a woman than Fiona. I’m referring to Gwen Margolis.

Charlotte: You’re right on the money there Sara. Gwen’s got a lifetime of experience already and as you’ve said, she’s been showing off her submission skills of late. Her, Kristina and Fiona couldn’t be more different if they tried. The next three matches are certainly going to test all of my skills and make sure that I’m at my best constantly.

Sara: Finally, your fourth opponent…some may class her as the toughest of the four given her recent success. And it could be a champion versus champion match depending on how things go at Crossed Out. That’ll be against the current and reigning Diamond Champion Nadia Beaulieu. Also very different from the others.

Charlotte: Again, I think that’s fair. You can’t argue with her success. Every tag team title that she’s competed for, she’s won. She’s held the Diamond Championship for a long time now, turning aside all contenders much as I’ve been doing with the Anarchy Championship. She can fly. She can wrestle and she can land her shots pretty damn well too. It really is a Rogues Gallery and that’s a real big boss style ending for my run.

Sara: I agree. With that slate of opponents and including Anarchy matches like at Heartbreakers, you could be making a run for being the Iron Woman of Future Shock. Good luck at Heartbreakers, Charlotte.

Sara shakes hands with the Moose of Anarchy before the show goes elsewhere.

The Battle of Canada

The interview position backstage at the arena is strangely empty when the show cuts there, at least until Kyle Kilmeade emerges from one side and the Snarktopus on the other. The two exchange smiles before he begins.

Kyle: I didn’t need someone to ask questions when I’m more than capable of providing the answers without them. The questions Sara would likely ask is what’s going on, why am I here with Nessa, and what does this mean. Well I can answer all of those. Starting with what’s going on, I am happy to announce that I’ve taken over the managerial and business handling for none other than Nessa Wall. Yes, I’m her new manager. And for those who have good memories, they know we’ve worked together before.

Nessa: Once upon a time, yes. I seem to recall you were quite adept at creative problem-solving back then, too.

She lets out a little laugh.

Kyle: Why am I working with Nessa again? Well there’s been a couple hiccups since her return, namely against Aviva Miller. And good for Aviva, she got the notoriety and got herself a spot in Global Wars, no doubt due to the fact Nessa here skyrocketed her visibility. And no, we have no interest in round four right now. What we DO have interest in is the woman who is representing Canada in Global Wars INSTEAD of Nessa. I’m referring to Sydney Christensen.

Nessa: Absolute travesty that it is. Can you imagine, overlooking a star of my calibre to showcase… her instead? Disgusting. Simply disgusting.

Kyle: Now I recognize the fact that they aren’t going to switch representatives now that the series has started. But what I’d like to see is Nessa proving she should have gotten the spot instead. So how do we do that? A one on one match with Sydney at Heartbreakers on Valentine’s Day. If it’s for Global Wars points, so be it. What do you say, Syd? I know Nessa’s game for it.

That devilish smirk crosses her lips.

Nessa: Always game. Always ambitchous – you know the new motto. Buy my new shirt – available at the merch stand tonight and online. I’d love to see Sydney come up with something so universally catchy.

Sheepishly, she looks over at Kyle.

Nessa: Sorry, dear. Go ahead.

Kyle: And then after that and should Sydney go on to win Global Wars?

He flashes a smile towards his protege.

Kyle: Well it may not be the last time you see Nessa.

Nessa: Oh please. As if you could ever get rid of me so easily?

The two exchange smiles before heading off camera and the show returns to the ring for the next match.

The show returns from the first commercial break back to the ring, where Lexi stands in the center ready to begin the next introductions.

Zack: We’re back, and it’s time to start earning some Global Wars points. At least for one of the two women we’re about to see, but for Allison? Well she’s about to meet the #1 contender to the Diamond title. So while she may not get points with a win tonight, Claire, it’ll certainly put her on the champion’s doorstep.

Claire: We know what’s on the line for Aviva as she looks to get herself on the scoreboard and jockey for position in Global Wars. Allison, like you said, she can put herself in a prime position for the Diamond Championship going forward. Also, she can put herself in a good light and do her fearless leader a favour if she can beat Aviva.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish with a 20 minute time limit, and it is part of the Global Wars series!

“Dancing Machine” by Jackson 5 begins to blast all over the speakers. The moment it does, Allison smiles as she emerges from the curtains.

Lexi: Making her way from Los Angeles, California, by way of Detroit Michigan, she is accompanied by Kyle Kilmeade and part of the Motor City Maidens….. the “Dancing Machine” Allison Sullivan!

She comes out to the roar of boos but she flips the crowd off as she instead begins to shake her ass to the music. Her manager, Kyle Kilmeade, joins her on the stage and gives her some applause for her dancing skills.  She twerks before she slowly makes her way down to the ring. The fans all stick their hands out but she turns her nose up to them as she slowly bounces her way to the ring. She does a cartwheel and lands into a handstand. She leans her feet against the turnbuckles. She grins as she pushes herself upwards and into the ring. She blows a kiss to the cameras before she stands up on her feet. She hits the nae nae for the crowd before she lands in a perfect split. Kyle helps her back to her feet and the pair move to the corner for a little pre-match discussion.

Zack: This may be the next woman after Aviva to challenge for the Diamond Championship if she can get the win here tonight. We haven’t seen a lot of Allison on her own, she’s almost always with the other two Maidens.

Claire: They certainly do have a tendency to hunt in a pack don’t they? It’d wouldn’t surprise me if Stephanie is close by…though they might be choosing to keep her fresh for Fiona’s match later on. Allison has the experience edge and I feel she’ll need that tonight.

The beat of “Black Sheep” by Metric kicks in and Aviva Miller busts out onto the ramp with her fist held high in the air, her head bobbing to the music. As the bass drops, she heads down the ramp and slaps hands with every fan she can reach. Instead of going right to the ring, she takes a trip around it and gives out more high fives before finally swinging herself onto the apron.

Lexi: From Los Angeles via Jerusalem, this is Aviva Miller!

Aviva grins and ducks between the ropes into the ring, but then turns back and balances herself with one foot on the bottom rope and the other on the middle, waving her hand in a circle to get another loud cheer from the crowd. With the fans sufficiently hyped up, Aviva heads to her corner and waits for the match to begin.

Zack: We learned on After Shock that Aviva will challenge Nadia for the Diamond Championship at Crossed Out in Future Shock’s spotlight match. That’s a big stage for her second round with Nadia. I still remember her first match with Nadia, she gave the champion all she could ask for.

Claire: I’m sure at Crossed Out she’ll do the same again. As we keep saying, Aviva continues to get better and better with every contest. For me, she’s a dark horse in Global Wars and we might easily be talking about her challenging for the Future Shock Championship before long.

Referee Ashley Pruitt calls for the bell. As soon as the bell rings, Allison is already warming up in her corner by bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet as well as throwing her arms in the air. Aviva watches her for a second with a blank look as her opponent goes through cheerleader warm ups, including kicking her feet up in the air and making spirit fingers before tumbling forward and springing up to her feet. Allison looks pretty pleased, though Aviva is shaking her head.

Zack: All this might have been better prior for before she came out to the ring. Aviva thought she was competing tonight, not coming to cheerleader tryouts.

Claire: I guess Allison wants to make sure she doesn’t pull anything out here tonight and perhaps she’s hoping to lure Aviva forwards and into a mistake.

Allison leaves her feet a couple times with some leaping kicks with both feet out to her side. She went for a backflip that landed perfectly until Aviva had advanced on her with a running boot to the chest as soon as she landed. It staggered Sullivan backwards before Miller started landing knife edge chops. She backed her into the ropes before sending her across to the far side, and that was when Aviva showed her agility as she went into a ball herself and sprung forward off her feet with a flying shoulder tackle.

Zack: Maybe Allison saw Constance earlier, thought she could do it better? But it’s a moot point now, because Aviva didn’t come for gymnastics! She came to win!

Claire: She’s seen what Allison is capable of and now she’s giving her a more hands on demonstration as to why she shouldn’t be taken lightly in the ring and is considered a potential Global Wars winner this year.

Sullivan was barely back to her feet before Aviva grabbed her head and introduced her face into the top turnbuckle. The fans counted off ten strikes against it before Aviva spun her around into a fisherman suplex into a bridge for the win!

Zack: They don’t teach that one in spin class, and Aviva wants the fastest Global Wars points in history!

ONE!!

T-NO.

Allison managed to kick out and roll towards the ropes to get back to her feet. But Aviva was already there, snatching her into position for a full nelson suplex but instead hurled around in a half circle to send her crashing to the mat.

Claire: Allison was trying so hard to get a little bit of separation between the pair there but Aviva is staying on top of her and that was one rough landing for the wannabe gymnast.

Allison made it to her feet again, only for a single leg sweep put her down again. Aviva landed a leaping elbow drop as soon Allison hit the mat. It landed right on her chest before Miller yanked her back to her feet. She fired her into the far corner and followed after her with a corner clothesline before grabbing her head to deliver a one-handed bulldog out of the corner and into another cover.

Zack: Look at Aviva go! I think that match with Sydney really taught her some things!

ONE!!

TW-NO.

Again, Allison managed to kick out and Aviva snatched that arm and rolled her onto her stomach into a camel clutch. She added a wrinkle to it as well, shaking Allison’s head and arms like a rag doll for a couple seconds before locking in the hold.

Claire: I think she’s learnt that she has to make every movement count if she can and not allow whoever you might be in the ring with to get any chance to build their own momentum if you can.

Aviva had excellent positioning too with both of Allison’s arms caught in place as she cranked back on the dancer’s head. Pruitt asked Sullivan if she wants to stop the match, but Allison clearly didn’t. Kyle moved around the ring to stand in her direct line of sight, telling her how close she is to the bottom rope and waved her forward. Aviva kept a wary eye on the manager, and Pruitt checked over her shoulder to see where he was for a moment.

Claire: This is where a manager is helpful and it’s nice to see that Kyle is staying hands off, for now at least.

Zack: As our fans know, he’s certainly not above getting more active than this. He is right though, Allison doesn’t have a far trip to make it to the ropes. Easier said than done though.

Kyle started getting louder as he spoke to Allison, and the dancer managed to get her arms free and slowly but surely pulled herself forward a few inches and managed to grab the bottom rope. Kyle praised her for making it as Aviva broke the hold before the referee even had a chance to ask her to do it. Miller stepped onto the middle rope and went to drive all her body weight into Allison’s back, but Sullivan rolled over and brought her knees up for Aviva to land on instead. Kilmeade smiled at that as Miller froze in place clutching her lower body.

Claire: That was a painful way for Miller to land and this could be Allison’s opening to pick up a win in front of her hometown.

Zack: From your mouth to God’s ear, Claire!

Allison quickly kicked her feet up to use a sunset flip when she pulled Aviva down with a quick pin attempt in mind!

ONE!

Miller kicked out at one, and tried to get to her feet quickly. But Allison beat her to the punch before spinning her around and planting her with a float over DDT. She snatched her around the waist to pull her to her feet and immediately into a wheelbarrow facebuster. She rolled her onto her back and still had both legs in her grasp as she went for a seated cover this time.

Zack: Allison’s picked up a few new tricks, it looks like. Nice float over and another conver!

ONE!!

TWO-NO.

Aviva got her shoulder up since there was nothing holding them down, and Sullivan got to her feet. Kyle shouted praise towards his client telling her she had everything well in hand.

Claire: Allison’s looking to pick up a quick win now that’s she got the upper hand but is quickly learning that Aviva is one tough cookie.

The dancer smiled at the praise Kyle was giving her before he gave her a hand signal, and she quickly pulled Aviva up. She hoisted her upside down before walking three steps to deliver a muscle buster! Allison quickly rolled over her for a lateral press.

Zack: I’ve never seen her use that, and Allison may have the win stitched up right here!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOOO!!!

THR-NO.

Aviva kicked her foot across the bottom rope, stopping the count as Allison rolled her eyes. She started to argue with Pruitt, but her manager told her to finish her off and not worry about the referee, which prompted Allison to head for the cover.

Claire: Allison could do with learning the same lesson Aviva seemed to have earlier in this contest - don’t give your opponent even the slightest opening if you can at all help it.

Sullivan made her way to the top rope, peering quickly between her legs to see Aviva still down before she went for a moonsault that landed perfectly on target. The dancer rolled back to her feet and started circling the downed Aviva, waiting for her to get back to her feet. Aviva was very slow-moving at this point, and was taking a great deal of time to get up again.

Zack: Looks like Allison has something big in mind planned here, and I can’t decide if Aviva is really that out of it or she’s taking all the time Allison is giving her.

Claire: I have a feeling that she’s just taking all the time that she’s being given. We know that Miller keeps on learning and getting better with every match that she is in.

As soon as the Israeli beauty got to her feet, Allison went for her Asai DDT. But Aviva used a back body drop before she could execute it. Sullivan got to her feet, only to get kicked in the stomach and yanked into Aviva’s falcon arrow before rolling across with the leg hooked for the cover!

Zack: You called it, Claire! Allison just got brought DOWN TO EARTH!!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOO!!

THREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!

Pruitt called for the bell before Aviva rolled away to the ropes and pulled herself to her feet. When she got her hand raised, she nodded her head and started pointing to the leaderboard till her 3 points were added.

Lexi: Your winner by pinfall…..and scoring 3 points for Israel in Global Wars…….AVIVA MILLER!!

Claire: It’s a big win for Aviva, getting her up and running in Global Wars. As most athletes will tell you, it’s always better to have the points on the board than to go chasing after them.

Aviva saw that she was now tied for the lead with Sydney at 3 points for both women. She then stepped out of the ring and was greeted by ringside fans congratulating her on her victory.

Zack: Well we’re all tied up for first right now in Global Wars, but that certainly can change before we’re done tonight and the two champions in this series start their campaigns next week. Well done to Aviva though.

Claire: She’s laid down her marker and has got herself in a good position so far. I’m sure this is something that she’ll be looking to build on going forwards too.

As she headed up the ramp towards the back, the show cut to a commercial for Heartbreakers on Valentine’s Day.

Gold Hunting with the Belles

When the show cuts to the interview position, we find it’s a diorama of the Heartbreakers poster with the backdrop behind two life size cardboard cutouts of Madyson Stone and Arabella Townshend. We also see the back of the head of Jake Chandler as he’s looking over the cutouts of the two, apparently having just seen it himself when he’s joined by the Belles…and the cameraman clearing his throat to get him to turn around.

Arabella stands on tiptoe behind her boyfriend, putting her arms around his neck and giving him a kiss on the cheek.

Arabella: I know the cardboard version looks good, but how about the real thing?

Jake gets startled for half a second when he feels arms around him but quickly calms himself when he sees his girlfriend and then her tag team partner before quickly spinning around to face the camera.

Jake: You’re definitely a huge improvement over 2D Arabella.

He tells her, glances down to the microphone and then over to Angelina.

Jake: Hi! Sara had some personal business, so I offered to do the interview. You two don’t mind, do you?

Arabella: Of course not!

Angelina: I mean, I’ll talk to whoever, so I’m good with it. Whatcha got for us, Jake?

Jake: A lot for you both! We can start with the new main event set up for Heartbreakers on Valentine’s Day in 2 weeks. You got a rematch with Jacqui for the Future Shock Championship, and this time, the match can only end in a pinfall or submission. No risk of double countouts this time. How do you feel about that?

He asks Angelina before holding out the microphone for her just like one of the other reporters would do.

Angelina: I feel great about it. If Jacqui wants to beat me, then she has to do it definitively. No count-outs this time. I know it’s a legitimate way to end a match, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. And this time? I don’t intend on losing.

Jake: I think you might have spooked her. You kicked out of her favorite finishing move that’s won her pretty much every match she’s ever won. I don’t think she was expecting that. That may be renting real estate in her mind.

Angelina: Good, then she’ll remember just who the fuck she’s dealing with. I’m the definition of ‘never give up, never surrender’. I wrestled a whole ass match with my arm out of its socket because I wasn’t prepared to give up the opportunity I had. I may be small enough for her to fling from one side of the ring to the other, but she best not underestimate me again. She best remember that I can and I will fight till my last breath for what I believe in.

Jake gives a firm nod of agreement with that, and then smiles as he turns to Arabella.

Jake: While Angelina may make history and capture the Future Shock Championship at Heartbreakers, she may not be the only Belle leaving with gold. You’re set to challenge Madyson Stone, who has been Nova Champion for about half a year now as she wanted to eclipse her sister’s success with it. And we’ll circle back to her, but first, would you like to respond to the fact that even as recently as today that Emerald has been lobbying to get you removed from the match to put Sapphire in?

Arabella: I think it’s just the Gemstones being loud and annoying, as per usual. There’s absolutely no reason for me to be taken out of this match and replaced by Sapphire. This match was made prior to our winter break, it’s been advertised for months. Emerald and Sapphire will just simply have to wait. And they should know by now that Adam doesn’t take kindly to people badgering him about stupid things.

Jake: I can vouch for that, but that’s a story for another time. Unlike Angelina and her opponent, I know you have a high opinion of Madyson. And I’m sure part of that comes from the rivalry you had with Mikayla, so you know how talented the Stone Sisters are. Based on everything you’ve seen and experienced, do you think she’s done enough to eclipse what Mikayla did with that title or does she have more work to do?

Arabella: I think she may have some more work to do. But I think what matters more is, does Madyson think she’s done enough to eclipse her sister’s reign? And while my initial respect for her came from my knowledge of Mikayla as both a friend and an opponent, we’ve seen Madyson evolve as her own competitor during her time in Future Shock. She stands on her own, it’s very clear to see that. Personally, I try not to spend too much time comparing her to her sister. When we get to this match at Heartbreakers, I have to be ready for Madyson and Madyson alone - and I will be.

Jake: True facts! I think it’ll be a great match, and clearly so does Future Shock since you two are the poster girls for the event.

He glances down to his hand for a second, looking at some notes he wrote earlier to make sure he covered everything he was supposed to. Arabella took his hand, gave him another kiss and lead him off with Angelina following.

It Couldn’t Be

As the show comes back from a commercial for Heartbreakers on FFW All Access, we see a pair of trainers rushing into a locker room to assist Aviva Miller. The Israeli beauty is found handcuffed to a locker by her wrist after her match, and is barely conscious as the trainers immediately begin attending to her.

Zack: What the hell happened here? We just saw Aviva in the last match, it looks like someone jumped her as soon as she got back to her locker room.

Claire: And they’ve certainly left her in a pretty bad state. She must not have seen it coming in the slightest.

The trainers found the key on the floor just out of Aviva’s reach in a splattering of red powder before they released her wrist.

Zack: Whoever it was left the key just to taunt her, I guess. But you know….that red powder….we’ve seen that before, Claire. Who do we know that uses red powder?

Claire: I know we’ve seen Lacey use red powder to good effect. And I certainly wouldn’t put it past her to taunt someone she’s just attacked by leaving the key just out of reach…

Zack: Exactly….but she’s not on the Future Shock roster….

The show then goes to a preview of the Future Shock Championship match at Heartbreakers in 2 weeks.

News & Royalty

The show cuts to split screen between Zack and Claire in the commentary booth and Adam somewhere inside the Little Caesars Arena.

Zack: Fans, Future Shock Heartbreakers is just 2 weeks away on FFW All Access. And we got the head boss around these parts, Adam Grant, who has a few news items to share with us. So let’s dive into it, shall we? Adam, I understand you have some Global Wars news for us.

Adam: That I do. I’m changing things up a little this year. In years past in Global Wars, we often had people in the finals who didn’t have the mathematical chance of winning due to their points. I don’t think it makes sense to put people into matches they can’t win or allow those who can win them to have to deal with more opponents than are required. So this year, only the two women who have the highest points will compete in the finals. Of course, if there’s a tie, those who tie will be added.

Claire: I think that’s fair and certainly makes all the matches in the series that little bit more important as everyone jockeys to be in those top positions.

Zack: I agree with Claire. I also was told you had some details on the Hall of Fame.

Adam: You heard right. I’ve already talked about the three categories we’ll be adding inducted. I already talked about how it’s going to be a touring facility in Boston for fans to come visit. The news I have for you today is that we are going to announce the full class at the next Future Shock event where we also happen to have the finals of the series: Future Shock Global Wars. All the inductees for the inaugural class will be revealed there.

Zack: I don’t envy you having to pick out the first class since you’re starting all the way from the first show in December of 2010. That’s a MASSIVE list of women who have come through the doors.

Claire: That’s true. Mallory Bennett, Gabrielle Crimson, Destiny Campbell, Aimee Easter, Desirae Kain, Missy, Shaw, Angelina Fantastica, Steph Stefano, Lilly Sheffield, Valerie McKinley, Stacey Sky…and that’s just handful of stars who have, or do, call Future Shock home and have done so much in this business. You could pretty much fill several buildings with candidates already. It’s going to be tough to narrow that down for the first class.

Zack: Let me ask you this. Is there any rules that prohibit current FFW Hall of Famers from being part of Future Shock’s?

Adam: None. If someone is already in FFW’s Hall of Fame, they are just as eligible as women who aren’t. It’s being treated like it’s own promotion Hall of Fame even though we’re obviously a big part of FFW.

Zack: Imagine all the ears that just perked up there, Claire. Current Hall of Famers could end up with two Hall of Fames on their achievements.

Claire: I’m sure there are plenty who would love to be able to say that and I’m sure Adam and whoever else might be making the decision might be hearing from them and getting sent gift baskets and mini muffins delivered between now and the announcement at Global Wars.

The sound of door knocking was heard, causing Adam to glance behind him and look back to the camera. The knocking persisted on the door as the three were talking before Adam finally had enough and turned towards the door.

Adam: What is it?!

The door opened as a production assistant stuck their head in the door.

PA: Uh…the Princess of Future Shock is here to see you and demands a moment of your time.

Zack: Kinda rude to interrupt, but at least we’re going to see whoever this is.

Claire: I’ll believe it when I actually see her. For all we know, she’s demanding that he comes to see in her locker room…or her trailer in the parking lot. Or she’s facetiming on a tablet from the royal throne room.

Adam: Send her in then.

The PA ducked out of the room just as quickly as he had arrived before a woman in a gold sequin dress stepped into Adam’s office. She had gloves almost up to her elbows and a tiara on her with the Future Shock logo in sapphires. Adam shook his head as he looked up and then back to the woman in question.

Adam: You have got to be kidding me.

Zack: The Princess of Future Shock is….

Adam finished the sentence for Zack.

Adam: Ashley Marie Chase?!

Claire: From the Gold Standard of FFW… to the Princess of Future Shock. I guess we really shouldn’t be all that surprised from the Beverly Hills Helion with an ego that knows no limit.

As Kyle stepped into the office behind her, Future Shock went to a commercial break.

After the break, the show returns to the live broadcast and Lexi is already standing front and center in the ring.

Lexi: The following contest is scheduled for one fall to a finish with a 20 minute time limit, and it is part of the Global Wars series!

Zack: It’s main event time, and I’m curious to see what kind of response this particular Motor City Maiden is gonna get here in the Motor City.

Claire: We’ve seen in the past just how forgiving fans can be of their hometown wrestlers and just how prepared they are to back them to the hilt regardless. I’m sure however they react it’ll not have much impact on Sydney one way or another.

“Pour It Up” by Rihanna begins to play loudly all throughout the arena. As it does we are able to see Fiona walking from the back joined by Kyle Kilmeade. Fiona is holding an umbrella in her hand and she pops it open. As it does, 100 dollar bills begin to flow from the ceiling.

Lexi: Ladies and gentlemen making her way to the ring being accompanied by Kyle Kilmeade weighing in at 130 pounds from Belfast, North Ireland representing the Motor City Maidens, she is “The Weather Girl” “The Self Proclaimed Innovator of Moonsaults” Fiona O’Dalaigh!!

She uses the umbrella to keep them from hitting her. Fiona twirls her umbrella in circles and laughs at the fans booing her as Kyle tells her to ignore them.. She slides into the ring and gives Kyle her umbrella. She pulls down on her booty shorts a bit, spanking on her ass as she waits for the match to start.

Zack: The last time you and I called a Fiona match was at Red Alert last November where she ran into an oncoming bus by the name of Arabella Townshend. I’m not sure her experience tonight against Sydney is going to be a lot better for Fiona.

Claire: I think that you are probably right. Sydney has been on a tear of late and Fiona is going to have to be at her absolute very best tonight to be able to compete with her. I’m sure Kyle will have her prepared and will have given her a gameplan that he feels she can be successful with.

The sound of a guitar strumming subtly begins to echo in the arena, leaving those in attendance wondering what is going on. The angelic voice of one Lzzy Hale of the band Halestorm is heard next, her voice serenely starting the opening verse of “I Am The Fire.”

Am I brave enough?
Am I strong enough?
To follow the desire
That burns from within
To push away my fear
To stand where I'm afraid
I am through with this
'Cause I am more than this
I promise to myself
Alone and no one else
My flame is rising higher.

As the song picks up the tempo, her voice becomes more intense, kicking into the chorus.

I am the fire
I am burning brighter
Roaring like a storm

Midway through the chorus, the curtains part and out walks the pride of Calgary herself, Sydney Christensen.  She steps out to the middle of the stage and juts her arms out on either side of her, tossing her head back as the fans show their appreciation. She picks her head up and slowly brings her arms in front of her, her index fingers pointing down to the ring. Dropping her arms to her side, she begins her march towards the ring, nodding at a few fans along the way. Once she reaches the ring, she hops up onto the apron and steps through the bottom and middle ropes. Almost immediately, Sydney walks over to the ropes and raises her arms above her head, encouraging the fans as they cheer on the proud Canadian. Sydney then walks over to one corner of the ring and rests her back against the turnbuckle, awaiting her opponent as her music fades out on one poignant line of the chorus.

And I am the one I've been waiting for
Screaming like a siren
Alive and burning brighter
I am the fire!

Lexi: Introducing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, this is…...SYDNEY CHRISTENSEN!!

Zack: We heard a challenge made to Sydney earlier in the show for Heartbreakers, and I’m told that match is now official. Tonight, it’s Fiona. But at Heartbreakers, she’s now going to meet the woman who wanted her spot representing Canada. It’ll be Sydney versus Nessa on Valentine’s Day! That should be something to see!

Claire: It should be one heck of a contest between two Canadian warriors and two excellent technical wrestlers. Christensen can’t allow herself to get distracted or look ahead to that match in two weeks though, she has to focus on the here and now and on picking up three more points against Fiona.

Referee Melinda Davis called for the bell to start the match as Fiona regained her umbrella from Kyle before climbing up onto the middle turnbuckle. It exploded with confetti that showered part of the crowd that absolutely loved the hometown girl. Sydney glanced around as she listened to the Detroit fans in a roar over the weather girl that she had never received anywhere else.

Zack: Listen to this, Claire. Fiona has never gotten this reaction anywhere else but here! But the upshot is we know the umbrella isn’t loaded now…it just shot confetti.

Claire:  True, but she could still use it like a club on Sydney. And I have this feeling that if she did, the crowd would probably still cheer loudly for her. I guess this is what happens when the Redwings and the Lions aren’t really tearing it up. You’ll take success wherever you can get it.

Fiona was all smiles at the response, and Kyle played it up on the floor as he pointed up to her and got more noise from the crowd before she went to another corner. She worked up that side of the arena too.

Zack: I can’t say I blame Fiona for soaking up as much of this as she can, it’s not like it happens all the time. My question is how long before Sydney gets tired of it.

Claire: I can’t imagine it’ll be long before she decides to settle into her role of villain and try to really ruin the party for everyone.

Fiona hopped down from the second corner and turned around into a running clothesline from Sydney that set the crowd off immediately. Before the redhead could get up, Sydney began stomping the meteorologist repeatedly, driving her back into the canvas. The blonde yanked her back to her feet into a series of shoulder thrusts to the body before she scooped her up into a Samoan drop. As the redhead tried to get up again, Sydney used clubbing blows to her back with both hands followed by a Garvin stomp with her opponent face down. Meanwhile, the Detroit crowd was booing her out of the building.

Zack: This is wild! The bell already rang and Sydney hasn’t done a damn thing illegal, but you’d think she just kicked Fiona’s puppy. They do know Fiona’s competing for Northern Ireland and not Detroit, right?

Claire: The Canadian has them just about ready to riot already! Despite Fiona’s Northern Irish heritage, she’s most definitely a daughter of Detroit right now!!

Sydney seemed to bask in the hatred as she jerked Fiona up and fired her into the far corner. The redhead landed back first before Sydney followed her with a running shoulder tackle to the body. The shot lifted her off her feet for a second before Christensen snatched her around the waist and sent her out of the corner with a belly to belly overhead suplex. The hometown favorite had barely gotten up again before Sydney sent her flying again with a German suplex that drove her into the corner. The boos only persisted though.

Zack: Fiona’s getting clobbered so far in this match, and again, Sydney hasn’t broken any rules. But we may want to give her a security detail to get out of here tonight.

Claire: Sydney is looking absolutely determined tonight to make sure that she leaves this arena in pole position in the Global Wars series and is willing to brave the wrath of this city if that’s what she has to do.

Sydney taunted the fans who were booing her for a second as Fiona pulled herself up in the corner. But the redhead didn’t get much of a reprieve before Sydney blasted her with a spinning backfist that nearly sent her through the ropes. But the Canadian grabbed her to stop that from happening, instead she planted her head and darted out of the corner with a running powerbomb. She dropped down to make the cover before Davis went to count.

Zack: Fiona hasn’t even gotten a shot in yet, it’s been all Sydney! And we may want to take off if this cover ends the match…

ONE!!!

TWOOOO!

Fiona kicked out, getting a pop from the Detroit fans as Sydney sat up on her knees. She pulled the redhead up by her head before hoisting her over her shoulder. Fiona’s body hung limp.

Claire: Fiona kicked out but it’s looking like that was pure instinct and Christensen is looking for one last big move to end this.

Sydney took off towards the corner looking for snake eyes, but Fiona dropped down to her feet behind her as they got close. Before the blonde could turn around, Fiona used a backstabber to drop her to the mat before she rolled away. Kyle immediately encouraged Fiona to stay on top of Sydney and not to give her a second. But Fiona was still trying to get herself together after all the offense she’d taken while a loud “FIONA!” chant rumbled through the arena.

Zack: Excellent advice from Kyle there, but he’s not the one who just spent the last few minutes getting his clock cleaned by Sydney. Fiona needs a second….and they’re chanting her name!

Claire: I’m sure Fiona would love to press home her advantage but right now she might think she’s in dreamland right now - especially with this umm… unusual… response from the crowd.

Sydney was back to her feet before Fiona, and started to close the gap to deliver a clubbing blow to Fiona’s back as she was using the ropes to get up. But as the Canadian drew close, Fiona used a mule kick to the stomach that stopped her for a half second. O’Dalaigh grabbed her head and raked her eyes across the top rope to blind her, which got a cheer from the fans. A Russian leg sweep snapped Sydney to the mat before Fiona applied a rear chinlock, which got another loud response.

Claire: Fiona’s somehow gonna herself back in control of this match and these fans are absolutely loving it. If it was up to them, she’d be taking the three points with her tonight!

Zack: I’ve never heard them pop for a chinlock, but here we are. Fiona’s trying to get her marbles together, and this will give her a second or three possibly.

Fiona quickly transitioned out of the chinlock and pulled Sydney’s head back with one. She then began pistoning her elbow into her face repeatedly. Seven quick blows landed before Sydney was on the mat, and Fiona began to grind her elbow into Sydney’s face till blood started coming out of the previous Future Shock Champion’s nose. Fiona got back to her, taking deep breaths as the Detroit crowd was getting louder for her.

Zack: It’s a little dirty, but that might be a brilliant strategy for Fiona. When you get hit in the nose, you can’t see a damn thing. And Sydney’s nose is starting to bleed after all those shots.

Claire: Or maybe when Sydney see’s her own blood she might get even more fired up and determined to put Fiona away. O’Dalaigh should do whatever she can right now to try and end this.

It was almost as though Fiona had heard Claire. When she got to her feet, she spotted Sydney on all fours and holding her nose. That caused the weather girl to hit the far side ropes and return with a curb stomp that drove her face down into the canvas again before she went for the cover with a leg hook.

Zack: Claire, do you think she heard you? Big time curb stomp and there may be a damn parade if she gets the win here!

ONE!!!

TWOOOOOOOO!!

THR-NOO!!

Sydney’s shoulder came up as soon as the two landed on the mat. Fiona made her pay for it by grinding her forearm against Sydney’s nose to make it worse. And the blood on her forearm as she got back to her feet proved she was doing just that.

Claire: Shades of Missy right there but Sydney got her shoulder up in the nick of time. Smart strategy from Fiona after the near fall to keep her opponent on the back foot.

Fiona rolled her onto her stomach and started grinding Sydney’s face into the mat, leaving a growing red stain on the mat before she got to her feet. O’Dalaigh rallied the crowd, getting them to chant her name louder as she pulled Sydney’s head into position to deliver a spike piledriver. A leaping knee drop landed on her face before Fiona dragged her to sit up against the corner.

Zack: I don’t know if Sydney’s nose is broken, but it’s certainly busted open. Not often we see someone target a nose in the ring, is it?. But these fans don’t care what she does as long as Fiona’s running the show.

Claire: Fiona’s showing off her vicious streak tonight and it’s Sydney’s nose that is being made to pay for it. It’s really smart of her too. It’s going to affect her vision and make it difficult for her to breathe too.

With Sydney propped up against the corner, Fiona took off for the far side. She rebounded with a running hip attack to the face that snapped her head back. The redhead stepped both feet onto her chest to choke her, causing Davis to count her down till she stepped off. The redhead got the crowd to get louder again as Sydney pressed her hand against her nose and looked down to see her now bloody hand. The weather girl dragged her out of the corner and pulled her into position for a DDT….but Sydney hooked her arm around the middle rope. Fiona tried again, still no DDT before Christensen used a back body drop to send her to the mat. The former Future Shock Champion touched her nose again, seeing her own blood as she stood up.

Claire: This is what I was talking about earlier. The sight of your own blood can get you really fired up and can prove to be a huge motivating factor as Fiona is about to learn the hard way.

Zack: We know what a fired up Sydney looks like, just watch her match with Shaw for that if you haven’t seen it.

Fiona started to get up until Sydney grabbed her with both hands and hurled her into the corner. She began using hammer fists in a blur that ultimately started pounding Fiona down against the corner. But the Canadian wasn’t down as she kept punching down onto Fiona till she was flat on the mat. The boos began again as Sydney looked pissed off as she touched her nose again. That’s when she hopped down to the floor and shook her head with a scowl.

Zack: I haven’t seen hammer fists like that outside of the world of MMA lately, and Sydney….she’s taking this to the floor. She could have easily kept it in the ring….but she keeps seeing her blood on her hand.

Claire: She has to be careful and not let her emotions cloud her judgement too much here. The last thing that she wants is to get disqualified and hand points to one of her Global Wars competitors.

She rolled Fiona out to the floor with her and dragged her to the barricade. Sydney hooked both of her feet under her arms and began using a giant swing into the barricade back and forth. She slammed both sides of Fiona’s body into the barricade multiple times before using a catapult hung her out to dry when she landed chest first over the wall. Fiona fell to the floor on the other side of the barricade in front of the front row. Sydney moved in that direction to retrieve her.

Claire: Sydney might want to be careful getting too close to this crowd. With the mood they’re in and the support they’ve been showing Fiona, one of them might just take a cheap shot of their own.

Zack: I wouldn’t put it past them honestly. I may just head back to the ring. The referee is giving them a great deal of latitude in this match and with her count.

Sydney sized up the fans who were standing up and shouting at her as Fiona recovered as best she could on the other side. The redhead pulled herself up to her feet, only to get a beal from the front row back to ringside. Davis was up to 7 now with her count. Fiona crawled towards the apron weakly before Sydney headed towards the ring as well.

Zack: Like I said, the referee is giving them a lot of room. They’ve been out here far longer than a normal seven count. If I was Sydney, I’d throw her back in and finish it. I don’t think Fiona has much left in the tank.

Claire: It certainly doesn’t look this way but then she might just be trying to con her opponent. Maybe she’s suddenly come to life and try to steal a countout victory here?!?

Fiona pulled herself onto the apron and rolled back into the ring at the eight count. Sydney wasn’t far behind as she got into the ring again. Fiona crawled on all fours, trying to get away before Sydney stalked towards her. The previous Future Shock Champion snatched her up into a running powerslam before applying her lotus lock submission in the center of the ring.

Zack: Fiona couldn’t get away fast enough, Claire, and there’s the FIRESTARTER! That’s how she put away Aviva two weeks ago!

Claire: It’s one of the toughest submissions to escape from and one of the most painful with the pressures that it applies. If Fiona can’t find a way out double quick then Sydney will be taking the points back to Canada with her.

Fiona tried to find the ropes, but with her arms pinned the way they were, it was nearly impossible. She tried to move them both with her legs to no success as Sydney applied a little more pressure until Fiona finally tapped out to deafening boos from the crowd. Sydney shoved her off and got to her feet to have her hand raised by the referee.

Lexi: Your winner by submission…and scoring 3 points for Canada……SYDNEY CHRISTENSEN!!

Claire: There you have it. Fiona couldn’t find a way out and as a result Sydney is sitting pretty atop the Global Wars standings, telling everyone else to come get here!

Sydney dusted her hands as she looked up to the scoreboard and saw her points total move up to 6, doubling what it had been. Trash and debris started getting thrown into the ring.

Zack: They certainly don’t like the result here in the Motor City….but Sydney is the frontrunner once again in Global Wars! Sydney Christensen may be a new favorite at this rate!

Claire: She’s seen both Fiona and Aviva drop points to her in recent weeks and we know the mountain that Charlotte has to climb with her matches coming thick and fast in the next couple of weeks. This could well be a straight shoot out between her and Missy to finish top of the standings the way it’s going.

Sydney avoided the trash thrown at her from the Detroit crowd before leaving the ring. She held her hand high over her head as she headed to the back while Future Shock faded off the air.
